Welcome to the MLB Playoffs!

0:03All right, welcome in. It is time for

0:05Total Bases. It's time for the Major

0:07League Baseball playoffs. And um I can't

0:10wait for this. You know, I I was

0:12thinking the other day, Brian, I I I

0:14know you're an old school guy. And I'm

0:16not a big fan of change. I didn't love

0:19when they, you know, started to make the

0:21changes maybe five years ago to the

0:22sport. One of which was they expanded

0:24the playoffs. And you know, it was

0:26always like MLB, you always had to like

0:28really do well to get to the playoffs,

0:30whereas like the NBA and NHL put

0:31everyone in. Uh but after a couple years

0:35of this uh wildcard round, as a better,

0:38you have to love it because it gives us

0:40chances. It gives us actual chances uh

0:43to make money in the Major League

0:44Baseball playoffs. The just the dynamic

0:47with the wildard round and then these

0:49teams playing teams that haven't played

0:51has been great. It's been great for my

0:53bankroll. I've done well in this, you

0:55know, two week stretch pretty much every

0:56year. So, I'm fired up that it starts

0:59today. Uh, how Tokyo Brandon was saying

1:01before we got on air, it feels like we

1:03haven't seen each other in a couple

1:04days. It was only one day off. Uh, you

1:06know, we just didn't have a show Monday.

1:08Uh, but yeah, how is your how have

1:10things gone since Saturday's show for

1:12you?

1:13>> Yeah, very well. Um, football's been

1:15tremendous. Another four and one

1:17Saturday, three and two on Sunday, a one

1:20Thursday, Friday. Baseball's a little

1:23bit of up and down. I only used one

1:25play. I didn't use anything obviously

1:26yesterday. I was only one game played in

1:29football, but uh on Sunday I did use the

1:32Reds. I thought they were they were

1:34going up against Toronto and uh

1:36everybody was all excited about what had

1:39been happening in Detroit and then you

1:40got Sherzer coming out and although he

1:42hasn't announced since his last year, a

1:43lot of people think it was. I thought

1:45that line was jacked up and he came out

1:47and he pitched great and uh so he I had

1:50you know Cincinnati plus 152. Don't

1:51expect to win a lot of those at 152 but

1:54still hats off to him. Uh he he beat me

1:57and uh yeah we'll come back and get him

1:59now in the playoffs.

2:03>> Uh I yeah I I was up and down this so I

2:05did have the one game that was played

2:07yesterday. Uh I was on the Bears for 4%

2:09play so that was nice but um kind of an

2:11up and down weekend for me. It was like

2:133-0 on Thursday, 0 and2 on Friday. I

2:15think I won on Saturday, lost both my

2:19plays on Sunday, came back and win. Yes.

2:20Yeah. Won yesterday. So, kind of back

2:22and forth the last few days for me. Uh,

2:24Tokyo Brandon, your weekend. How'd it

2:26go?

2:27>> Yeah. Uh, let's see. Yesterday in Asian

2:30baseball, I lost the only two plays I

2:32put out. I lost both of them. And then

2:35today, I came back and swept five in a

2:37row for Asian baseball. So, doing good.

2:39And I do have one play out for $5

2:41Tuesday in MLB. And by the way, Brian,

2:45what you said about uh the retirement,

2:48uh Sherzer, uh Verlander pitched pretty

2:50well on his last game as well.

2:52>> That that was if you if you're not a fan

2:55of baseball, you're a fan of life. That

2:57was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed that.

2:59Yeah.

2:59>> I'm particularly a fan of his wife.

3:02>> Of of course. I think a lot of people

3:03are

3:06>> Yeah. I gotta be honest. When I was when

3:08I was watching Major League Baseball

3:09this weekend, my my overwhelming feeling

3:12even when I was watching some of the

3:14teams that were going to be playing in

3:16the playoffs was I I can't wait for this

3:19weekend to be over. Like for the mo like

3:22for the most part, the games weren't

3:23very good. The it was just it was not

3:26the best week. I know Major League

3:27Baseball's been chasing the high of uh

3:29like 2011 for like 15 years now when

3:32everything came down to like the literal

3:35last inning. I believe it was like Evan

3:37Longoria hitting the walk-off and like

3:39everything came down to the final

3:41minute. Uh that was not the case this

3:42weekend. So I couldn't wait for it to be

3:44over and I couldn't so we could start

3:46this uh which is um going to be a great

3:49day of baseball. So as I always joke

3:52around um OCD people rejoice. Uh we

3:55won't be bouncing around. It's the

3:56playoffs. We we won't even have six

3:58games on a day. So we're just going to

4:00go right in order every single game um

4:02you know the the entire playoffs. That

Phillies/Braves

4:05means today we are starting uh in the

4:07National League. It's the Braves and the

4:09Phillies. A little NL East rivalry.

4:12Tokyo. Brandon, I'll come to you first.

4:13Um, another thing I love about this wild

4:16card round, I feel like it often gives

4:18us some division rivalries where it's

4:21like everything on the line for three

4:23games uh against a team that you know

4:25you've seen play quite a bit that might

4:27be in your division. We have two of them

4:29today and this is the first of the two.

4:31So, Braves Phillies, uh, it's going to

4:33be Chris Sale and the Phillies are going

4:35to have to get creative. So, how are you

4:37seeing this one, Braves Phillies?

4:39>> Yeah, the thing about the wild card, and

4:41by the way, it is $5 Tuesday, guys. So,

4:43everything at Wager Talk and all of

4:45Wager Talk's family sites, including

4:47Sports Memo, uh, picks and parlays and

4:49all all those other sites, $5 or free

4:52except the 5% plays. So, go there and

4:54check it out. I have a play up. I'm sure

4:56my uh esteemed colleagues here will also

4:59have if they don't have already a $5

5:01playup. So, and that includes football,

5:04not just baseball as well. So, uh yeah,

5:07when you get to this round of the

5:08playoffs, so look, uh I'm you know,

5:12everyone's hits the reset button,

5:14everyone starts over. Uh doesn't matter

5:18what your record was in the regular

5:20season, this is where you're at. So,

5:21none of these teams won their division.

5:23Well, none of these teams got a buy in

5:26the first round of the playoffs. So, I

5:28think the teams are pretty much all

5:30equal. So, I don't see any reason for

5:32any team to be plus 150 or more. Uh, I

5:35think pretty much all these teams are

5:37fairly equal. I think this line is a

5:39little bit ridiculous. Doesn't mean I'm

5:40going to bet Philadelphia, but I don't

5:43think any team should be plus 168 at

5:45this round of the playoffs. Yes, Chris

5:47Sale is excellent. But if you look at uh

5:50don't ever bet against Jesus, by the

5:52way, but if you look at Jesus Lazardo's

5:54numbers, 179 at bats against these

5:56batters, a 190 average against a 503

5:59OPS, those are really good numbers. I

6:02think Philadelphia is definitely a live

6:04dog. I don't know if I'm going to play

6:05him or not. I haven't yet, but I don't

6:08think any team should be plus 168 in

6:10game one of the wildcard round. That's

6:13just my opinion.

6:16Jesus Lazardo pretty much irrelevant

6:18here. Uh the guy's arm is pretty much

6:20falling off. He will be out there for an

6:22inning tops. If you see Jesus Lazardo in

6:25this game, which I believe he's going to

6:26be the opener, uh there is zero chance

6:29he's in there for more than an inning,

6:30maybe two. Uh I every everything I've

6:34read uh about this game says he is going

6:37to open this game. Uh he just pitched on

6:41Sunday and he just pitched on Sunday. I

6:43granted it was only an inning. It was a

6:45couple of pitches. Uh but like he's been

6:47on the IIL. He was activated on Sunday

6:49for one day and now he's going to have

6:51to pitch here on a day like he didn't

6:53have any rehab. Uh tells me that this is

6:58just a way to buy an inning. Maybe a

7:00little bit bit of a decoy. I believe you

7:03should be handicapping this game as if

7:05Andrew Payer is your starter because

7:07that's who I think you're going to see

7:08uh for the bulk of this game. So, Brian,

7:10with that being said, Braves uh

7:13Phillies, do you think the line is

7:14justified here?

7:15>> Yeah, I was under the impression Lazardo

7:17was going to go two to three, but either

7:19way, um

7:20>> good luck maybe. I mean, that that'd be

7:22best case scenario.

7:23>> Yeah,

7:24>> best case scenario.

7:25>> And he and he's been very good against

7:26Atlanta, but also he's coming back as

7:29you as you just mentioned. Um, couple of

7:32lefties going Lazardo and Sale, uh,

7:34Sales about a 195 favorite here with a

7:38total of six and a half slightly to the

7:40over. Um,

7:43yeah, I wanted to play Atlanta, but I

7:46didn't want this line. Um,

7:49sail at home has been like an automatic.

7:52He's like 23 and five or something

7:55something crazy if you just bet Chris

7:56Sail at home. So, I understand why

7:59they're a a sizable favorite here, but I

8:02don't know if I can lay this type of

8:03number um to get there. I got to

8:06probably find another way to do it.

8:08Philadelphia, you don't know what you're

8:10going to get out of Lazardo. And uh

8:14we kind of talked about this for the

8:15last week where you got teams, you know,

8:18fighting for the playoffs. What do they

8:19do? You know, we talked about uh some of

8:22some of these guys using their aces or

8:24whatever just to make it into the

8:25playoffs. then it leaves you a little

8:27short-handed when you get there. Uh

8:29Panther's been up and down. Uh Lazardo,

8:32we don't know what we're going to get

8:32out of it. So,

8:35I'd like to play Atlanta. Can't get

8:36there at this number. So, unfortunately,

8:38looks like it may be passing this one,

8:42Mark. Um and I think this is like

8:45something you have to understand.

8:47Anything Lousardo has done recently is

8:50is fully irrelevant in this game. The

8:53reason is he is coming off of shoulder

8:55inflammation on his on his throwing

8:57shoulder there. There it would be a

9:01miracle if he's in this game for more

9:03than three innings. I I think like maybe

9:05if he comes out and works a quick first,

9:08you see him out there in the second. I I

9:10truly believe and and here's here's the

9:12only reason he is even going to be in

9:14this game at all. The Phillies really

9:16don't have a bullpen right now. It's a

9:18real concern. uh they all any high

9:22leverage relief arm that they've had

9:24this year has kind of either struggled

9:26of late has been hurt. Obviously they

9:29have their closer but there's a lot that

9:31needs to happen to get to the closer. So

9:33I think the the idea here for Philly is

9:36to try to steal an inning at the top.

9:38See what see what Lazardo can give you.

9:40If he if he gives you one, maybe you

9:42push him for a second. I mean the guy's

9:44a competitor. He wants to be out there.

9:46Um so you know like there's no question

9:48about that. But uh I mean listen like

9:51the you're not going to avoid four or

9:53five innings of Andrew Andrew Painter

9:55here. I think that's the line is where

9:56it is. Now I'm I'm with both of you in

9:58the respect like this is a big number to

10:01lay in the in a playoff game for sure.

10:04Um that being said, I will be shocked if

10:07the Phillies are competitive in this

10:09series. I just don't think they have I I

10:12just don't think they have the horses to

10:13be competit I mean be competitive with

10:15the Braves across three games. So, uh,

10:17my guy Preston watches the show. Shout

10:19out Preston. Messaged me on Twitter

10:22yesterday and he said, "Trig, what about

10:24a Braves series bet minus 130?" It was

10:27minus 130. I don't know what it is right

10:29now. I'm not a series bet guy. That is

10:32not my style. I never do it, especially

10:34in the playoffs because I don't like to

10:36be pigeonholed into

10:38having to play something, right? and and

10:40you kind of uh you know, I feel like if

10:42you bet the series, especially in a

10:43three-game series, you kind of put

10:46yourself on one side. With that being

10:48said, the way this series lines up,

10:50knowing that you're you're going to have

10:52to lay a$185 in today's game, um I think

10:56there's that that in my opinion is a

10:58pricing deficiency. The books don't make

11:00mistakes ever in the playoffs. They

11:02really aren't. But I'll tell you why the

11:04series price is only minus 130. It is

11:07because they are giving Chris Sanchez in

11:10game two a lot of credit in my opinion.

11:13That's the only way that this series

11:14could be priced accordingly. All three

11:16games are in Atlanta. You're starting

11:17off with a$185 favorite today, but the

11:21books, you know, the bookmakers are

11:22telling you that tomorrow's game with

11:24Chris Sanchez, the Phillies will be a

11:26slight favorite. That's the one I

11:27disagree with. Chris Sanchez's numbers

11:29on the road have not been as good. And

11:31so for that reason, I act this is this

11:34is something I, you know, just out of

11:35respect to my guy Preston finding such a

11:38great angle, I threw a few dollars on

11:40Braves to win this series. I'm not going

11:41to officially give it out, but I think

11:43that's the best thing I that you could

11:44come up with here, uh, Brian. And then

11:46we'll go back to TV.

11:47>> Yeah, that's a great point. Uh, I'm

11:49seeing as low as 125 out there, but most

11:52of them are in about the 135 range. And

11:55I would concur, that's a much better way

11:57to play this. um they're already behind

12:00the eightball when it comes to their

12:02pitching and yes, he's been he's been

12:04great this season, but you're right,

12:06he's not as good on the road. And

12:08they're they're treating this as if

12:11there is no differential between the

12:13Phillies and and the Braves. Well, well,

12:16you know, the Braves are the much better

12:18team. We've seen it all year. And yet,

12:20you're laying basically what you would

12:23lay for maybe a regular two teams that

12:25are matched up equally for your home

12:26field advantage. So yeah, I I definitely

12:30agree. Um if you can if you can get, you

12:32know, I'm seeing the highest I've seen

12:34is a 140 uh circuit here in Vegas, but

12:37if you can get anything in the 135 or

12:39less, yeah, count me in. I like that

12:41one, too.

12:42>> Go ahead, TB.

12:44>> So, uh I love our I love our audience.

12:47They're very uh very educated. Uh

12:50Russell, uh is it true that the Wildcard

12:52Series team who wins game one wins 77%

12:55of the time? Actually, if you look at my

12:57Twitter X, I just put up before the show

13:00uh three betting trends for MLB Wildcard

13:03Series. Since 2015,

13:06the team that won game one has won 68%

13:09of the time swept the series game one

13:12and two. So, 68% of the time. So, uh

13:15it's not quite 77, but it is 68. So, I

13:19think that logic goes along with what

13:21Brian and Adam are saying about if

13:23Atlanta wins this game, they're more

13:25like more than likely to win the series

13:26and minus 130 is a pretty good price.

13:29>> Well, let me point out what you just

13:31said though. I think you are talking two

13:32different things. What he said to win

13:34the series, you said win the series in

13:36two games.

13:38>> Okay.

13:38>> 68 to 77. Maybe that's the differential.

13:41>> The 68% is actually win the series. But

13:45uh yeah,

13:46>> that that stat is a little irrelevant

13:49though because you can't go back to 2015

13:51because this round didn't exist in 2015

13:54and this is very very different than the

13:56playoffs were in 2015. So that to be

13:59relevant, you have to go back to when

14:01the MLB made the change to have a

14:04threeame wildard sort of playin into the

14:08LDS because it you in 2015 we were still

14:11playing LDS. That was a best of five

14:13series uh where both teams got to play

14:15home and away. This is a threeame

14:17series. Every game is in Atlanta's

14:19ballpark. So the Phillies will never get

14:21to play a home game here. It's three

14:23games in three consecutive days in

14:25Atlanta with the situation. Philly's

14:27pitching is in right now and their lack

14:30of bullpen arms. I simply don't see how

14:32they can win two games in three days in

14:35Atlanta. Uh I would be curious to see

14:37what that is. Tokyo Brandon though going

14:39back to MLB's change in format which

14:43offhand 2021 maybe 2021. Obviously in

14:482020 we had that crazy expanded playoffs

14:51after the 60game season. I think they

14:53may have changes 2021. So, that's what

14:55I'd be more interested in. Um, I will

14:58say percentage.

15:00>> It's a lot easier for an underdog to win

15:02a three-game series as opposed to a five

15:04or seven game series. The longer a

15:06series goes on, the better chance your

15:08better team is going to win.

15:10>> Without a doubt. And and again, that's

15:13why that that's again I it is not a bet

15:15I typically make. I am I'm actually

15:18thinking about putting a giving this out

15:20to clients and putting a unit

15:22designation on it because I just I think

15:24that's probably my strongest take of

15:26this first round is like the Braves are

15:28just in my opinion they're just they're

15:30they will advance uh over the the way

15:33this sets up for them over the course of

15:35three games. Even if they were to get

15:36upset today, I I still think they have a

15:38great chance to move on. But Brian, that

15:41is a great segue into our next series.

White Sox/Astros

15:44Yeah, these these three game series,

15:46man, you get a a fortunate result in

15:48game one and things change drastically.

15:51I think that's going to be music to the

15:53ears of White Socks fans as they head to

15:56Houston today. So, they will be an

15:57underdog here. A slight underdog. Our

15:59second game, the second one that goes

16:01off, start us off White Sox Astros.

16:04>> I will say their Ryas uh did not make

16:07the playoff roster also for

16:08Philadelphia. Uh I said how much that

16:10would hurt him offensively and it and it

16:12has. Okay, let's look at um the next

16:16game on the schedule. We're looking at

16:19the White Socks. Hagen Smith is being

16:21put in as the starter. Uh he'll likely

16:24go three innings. Have no problems with

16:26him in the lineup. He's been terrific.

16:29Uh AJ Blue going for Houston. I've

16:31touted him all year long. A guy that

16:34pitches well out of the bullpen and

16:35doesn't get a lot of credit. They're

16:37going to start with him. Don't know if

16:38he'll go more than an inning or two, but

16:40I I expect Smith to try to get three

16:42innings out of Smith. Um

16:45Houston uh was the better team during

16:48the season in this series. And the line

16:51on this game is roughly about 125 for

16:53Houston with a total of eight. I've

16:56talked about in the past how uh the

17:00White Socks do well going over when they

17:03have a day off. 20 and 0 system so far

17:07when they when they've been rested going

17:09into the season or into that game. Uh so

17:12uh yeah, that will be my part of the uh

17:15the parlay today. I'm going to play this

17:16one over um to get this line at eight.

17:20You're looking at 8 over minus 117 I

17:23think is about about the average here.

17:25So we'll use that here. Um don't don't

17:28trust fully trust either pitching staff.

17:31I do like the back end of the Houston.

17:33Obviously, they've got really strong uh

17:36closer there. Uh the White Socks, I like

17:38I like their bullpen a little bit, but

17:40they're using one of their bullpen guys

17:42to start the game. So, I think that's

17:44going to hurt him in the long run. So,

17:45I'm going to I'm going to play this game

17:47over and uh as we were talked about with

17:51the with the threeame series, anything

17:53can happen here. And uh Chicago, I

17:56think, got a little bit of a deal here

17:57to be able to play Houston. I think they

17:59match up pretty good against Houston.

18:01So, we'll see what happens in this. Uh,

18:04just just as we were just talking about

18:05it, let's take a look at the series

18:07price here. Uh, we've got uh about a 135

18:10favorite for Houston in in this one. So,

18:13you're getting them at uh slightly less

18:16than what uh the series price is. So,

18:19they seems to like Hayden Smith. We'll

18:22see what happens.

18:25All right. So, yeah, Tokyo Brandon, it's

18:27going to be Hagen Smith to start for the

18:28the White Socks. They're basically

18:30telling you it's going to be a bullpen

18:32game in game one. Um it looks like the

18:34Astros are in a similar situation here.

18:37I believe they're going to go with AJ

18:38Blue Ball. I think you could see Emma at

18:41some point. Um did you know the Astros

18:44really hurt themselves by having to play

18:46on Sunday for something. Uh had they

18:48been able to wrap that up, they would

18:49have been able to push Lambert off till

18:51game one. They needed him on Sunday. So,

18:54uh, makes for, in my opinion, the most

18:56interesting matchup of the day is this

18:58one with how each team is going to play

19:00it. Uh, so knowing that, how are you

19:03approaching White Sox Astros?

19:05>> So, yeah, I I misstated that statistic.

19:07The since 2015 statistic was, uh, 68% of

19:12the series go under the six 68% of the

19:16games go under. Since 2022, when the

19:19series has changed format, 93.7%

19:24of the teams that win game one win the

19:26series. Only one team has won the series

19:29losing game one, and that was the Red

19:31Sox in 2025. So, interesting statistics

19:35there. So, game one winners usually win

19:37the series. Um, so regarding this game,

19:40>> what's that?

19:42>> There's been 16 games and 16 series. 15

19:47of the game one winners won the series

19:50since 2022. So, uh, anyway, regarding

19:54this game, if you're starting your

19:55playoff run starting with an opener, I

19:58don't have high hopes for you winning

20:00the World Series. So, I don't really

20:02expect either one of these teams to go

20:04very far in the playoffs. But, I do like

20:07the White Socks here because they have

20:09the better bullpen. And bullpens are

20:10going to be very uh important in this

20:14series. If you're starting openers in

20:15game one, your bullpen's going to get a

20:18lot of work here. And I like the White

20:20Sox bullpen better than the Astros

20:21bullpen. Um I like the White Socks

20:24lineup better than the Astros lineup as

20:26well. I think they have more power,

20:28better hitting. Um so it'd be White

20:31Socks or nothing, but I don't really

20:32expect much from these teams. I to me I

20:35don't find this series to be very

20:37interesting but you know let them slug

20:40it out. This might be the one series

20:42that goes back and forth and into a

20:44three games kind of thing. But I don't

20:47know doesn't seem very interesting. I'm

20:48probably not going to bet this series at

20:50all.

20:51>> Yeah. I just want to clarify it was it

20:53was actually the Yankees that won that

20:56series. It was the Red Sox winning game

20:57one the Yankees winning the the two

20:59games last year. And that is a notable

21:02thing to bring up because

21:03>> you're right. The only game one winner

21:05that failed to advance was the Red Sox.

21:07My bad.

21:08>> Yes, of course. Of course. Cam Schlitler

21:10coming coming out party in that game. He

21:12had that great game in game three and

21:14and

21:15>> is now hated by the the place he grew up

21:18pretty much across the board. Um but

21:21yeah, no, that's uh it's a great point

21:22because those first couple years of this

21:25format, it was like every series was

21:27just like two nothing. tun like mo, you

21:29know, I think I think the first year

21:30they rolled it out like every single

21:32team swept and we had like no games uh

21:35on that Thursday. So, it was it was a

21:37good thing to point out. Um I I really

21:39I'm going to still do some digging

21:41throughout the day. I I want to see if

21:43the White Socks give us any more idea of

21:45how they're going to play this. Uh but

21:46if they do what I think they're going to

21:48do, then they are going to be a bet for

21:51me today at this price. So, here's the

21:53way I think Will Venal is going to play

21:54it. Here's the way I think he should

21:56play it. I think Venable is gonna go all

21:59in on his bullpen in game one to win

22:02game one because of of what Tokyo

22:05Brandon is saying because I think if he

22:07if he I think he feels like if he wins

22:09game one then he's going to have a

22:11chance, right? Whereas like if the White

22:14Sox were to lose this game, they know

22:16they're getting Hunter Brown later in

22:17the series. They're on the road in

22:19Houston. That's going to be tough. So

22:21what does that look like? I think this

22:22is the reason you're seeing Hagen Smith

22:24start this game. I think Hagen Smith

22:26goes two to three innings. Um, as you

22:28know, he's probably going to ask him for

22:31as much as he can, which probably is two

22:33to three innings. I think you will see

22:35Grant Taylor very early in this game.

22:37And I think he will ask Grant Taylor to

22:39finish the game if he has a lead. Uh, it

22:41would burn them for tomorrow, but

22:45then it was then it'd be like, okay, we

22:47now have a free shot at winning game two

22:49and then if it goes to game three, we'll

22:51figure it out. I I think that's how I

22:53think that's the White Socks best chance

22:55to win this series is if they go all in,

22:58use every high leverage bullpen arm they

23:00have in this game and try to win game

23:02one. Now, that could change. Maybe they

23:04score. Maybe maybe they maybe the White

23:06Sox get a crooked number and he decides,

23:08"Okay, now we're up three nothing. I can

23:10go to Eric Fetty here. Maybe he can give

23:12us a few innings." Everything is subject

23:14to change. I'm telling you right now,

23:16you're gonna have Hagen Smith for three

23:17innings. He's really good. He's been

23:19awesome. If this gets to like the fifth

23:21inning and the White Sox are up one, I

23:24think you see Grant Taylor right away.

23:25You know, maybe the sixth. I think he'll

23:27ask Grant Taylor for three plus innings

23:29here if he needs to. If you tell me I'm

23:31getting six innings from Hagen Smith and

23:34Grant Taylor in a game and the White Sox

23:36are an underdog, I'm going to tell you,

23:37Brian, they shouldn't be an underdog in

23:39that game and therefore they will be a

23:41bet for me. So, I like the White Socks

23:42here.

23:43>> What about I'm just speculating here.

23:46What about bringing in Davis Martin as

23:49the follower? Because he only he only

23:52went two-thirds of an inning three days

23:54ago. This would normally be his side

23:56session, I would assume. And since he

23:58didn't throw many pitches, they may

24:01bring him in. Now, I don't know if

24:02that's better for the White Socks,

24:04>> but it would help their bullpen

24:05situation.

24:07>> My my problem with that is he hasn't he

24:09hasn't been great of late. He he hasn't

24:12been sharp of late. He's got some swing

24:14and miss stuff which is which is could

24:16could play as a reliever. Um but

24:20>> I I don't know that that's what I would

24:22want to see. If I'm if I'm on the White

24:23Socks here, I'm not sure that Davis

24:25Martin's who I I really want to see in

24:27this game. Um but if if I I do think

24:30they could go to him if they got in a

24:32real bind where they needed a strikeout

24:35because he he does have good swing and

24:36miss stuff. But uh yeah, it'll it'll be

24:38interesting to see what they do in those

24:40middle innings of the game. That that

24:41fourth through like the sixth inning in

24:43my opinion is going to decide the game

24:44here.

24:45>> The White Socks are the better team

24:46here. They have the better record and

24:48the Astros have a losing record at home.

24:50There's no home field advantage. So I

24:52don't understand the number either. I'm

24:53with you.

24:55>> Yeah, I think I I actually do agree with

24:57that. I I think the White Socks are are

24:59the superior to these two teams. I I

25:02don't

25:02>> the logo.

25:03>> I just don't really care for this a this

25:05Astros team. And when I saw them come in

25:07as a obviously they're going to be

25:09favored at home. Obviously they're going

25:11to be favored at home, but um

25:13>> yeah, that that was one where I actually

25:14make the White Socks a slight favorite

25:16in this game.

25:16>> They they lose more games at home

25:18though. That's makes sense. But okay.

25:22>> Yeah. And and listen, you got the White

25:23Socks. I don't know what to make of

25:24this, but none of these guy I think the

25:27only guy on the roster that has like

25:29there's two guys on the roster with like

25:30any sort of actual postseason experience

25:33experience. It's Tommy Fam and Andrew

25:36Benendi, I think, are like the only two

25:38guys that have any legit playoff

25:40experience. And Ben attendes was like a

25:43a lifetime ago with the Red Sox. So,

25:46probably just rolling in playing with

25:47nothing to lose. Live underdog in my

25:49opinion.

25:50>> Those are the teams that are scary, too.

25:51The ones who are just gripping and

25:53ripping. Those are the scary ones, you

25:54know.

25:57>> Tokyo Brandon, I'm coming back to you

25:58for game number three. Of course, you

Red Sox/Yankees

26:00referenced last year's Red Sox Yankee

26:03series. It was the Yankees that lost

26:05game one and came back to win game two

26:08and game three. And of course, the

26:09memorable moment from that series uh was

26:12Cam Schlitler and how good he pitched

26:14for the Yankees in the playoffs as a

26:16rookie. Uh fast forward a year. He's

26:18your Sai Young in the American League.

26:20What a season that he's had. And um what

26:23a what this is probably the game of the

26:25day. Red Sox Yankees first round of the

26:28playoffs. Schlitler against Payton

26:30Tolley who's been awesome. Um so how are

26:32you seeing this one Yankees Red Sox?

26:35>> So yeah um this is probably the most

26:38interesting this will probably be the

26:39most watched game of the day. Um right

26:43now we're looking at what Yankees about

26:45minus 140 145. We got a total over under

26:48of 6 and a half. And I understand this

26:50total because both of these pitchers

26:52excellent against the other team they're

26:54facing. Um, bullpen wise, Boston has a

26:58real big advantage in my opinion, but

27:00hitting wise, the Yankees have a big

27:02advantage. Boston's bats were ice cold

27:05ending the regular season. Doesn't mean

27:07they're going to be cold here, but uh,

27:09the Yankees stars have had playoff woes.

27:12I mean, going back to Alex Rodriguez,

27:15who was not a very good playoff hitter.

27:17Aaron Judge hits 230 in the playoffs in

27:21his career. Not a great uh, postseason

27:23batter either. Uh, he's not going to

27:25play today though, right? Last report I

27:27saw is he's not going to be in this

27:29game. Is that correct?

27:31>> I wasn't listening. I'm sorry. Who

27:34>> is Aaron Judge out for?

27:35>> Oh, no. Judge may not play in the entire

27:37playoffs. No, he's swinging the bat now,

27:39but

27:39>> yeah,

27:40>> I would expect him back at least until

27:41the next round.

27:42>> Yeah.

27:43>> So, in my opinion, uh,

27:46I know it sounds funny, but it's not a

27:48huge loss because he's not really a

27:50postseason hitter. He's kind of like

27:52A-Rod. So, um, 230 hitter, I mean, you

27:56can find people that hit better than 230

27:58in the playoffs, and they do

28:01>> they they have that in Ben Rice. I think

28:04Ben Rice is going to have a good series.

28:06So, Yankees, in my opinion, have the

28:08better hitting. Uh, where Boston has the

28:11better bullpen. So, this should be a

28:13tight game. Uh, this looks like an under

28:16to me. I would go under six and a half

28:18in this one if I were to bet it. Um, I

28:22don't know if the Yankees are justified

28:23being that big of a favorite. They do

28:24have the better bats and the better

28:26pitcher today. Uh, I would go under

28:28three and a half in the first five and I

28:30would go under six and a half in the

28:31full game just because I think both of

28:33these pitchers are going to go a little

28:34bit long and uh going to limit the runs

28:37at least in the first six innings. I

28:39don't see a lot of runs being scored

28:40here.

28:42>> I mean, listen, Judge is a monumental

28:44loss. Like that's a massive massive

28:46loss. I don't care if he hasn't had

28:48playoff success to this point in his

28:49career. Uh, it's a huge loss, but Brian,

28:52I don't dislike this Yankee lineup. I

28:55still think this Yankee lineup, uh,

28:57they've survived with Judge without

28:58Judge for a lot of this season. Uh, I

29:01like the moves that they made at the at

29:02the deadline, bringing over Luis Garcia,

29:05Helio Ramos. Um, they they've got some

29:08they've got some room to platoon a

29:10little bit. They've got a veteran in

29:12Paul Goldmith that can that can hit

29:14lefties. Uh, Cody Bellinger is back.

29:16He's been awesome since coming back. And

29:18then Ben Rice, who had an all-star first

29:21half and kind of struggled out of the

29:22break, is starting to hit the ball. So,

29:24disagree, judge, massive loss, one of

29:27the best players in the sport. Agree.

29:29Yankees still have enough juice in their

29:31lineup uh where I'm not going to

29:33penalize them that much. So, um I Brian,

29:37I think I lean the Yankees here. I just

29:39think I prefer Schlitler at home in the

29:41Bronx. But, um I don't like Payton to

29:44still really good. I it's hard to, you

29:47know, such a rivalry. It's like it this

29:49one's tough to find a side in.

29:51>> Yeah, this is going to be a lot of fun.

29:52You would think totally the lefty, sl

29:54the righty. We're looking at about a 135

29:57uh for the Yankees, 6 and a half to the

30:00under, six to the over. Perfectly

30:02balanced. 6

30:0435 34

30:0775. All right, here we go. Still six

30:09o'clock in the morning out here. Um

30:12yeah, I'm in a lot of agreement with

30:13these guys. Uh, I do prefer the

30:15Schlitler side. Uh, this will be the

30:17fifth time they've he's faced Boston.

30:19The best the best Boston's done against

30:22him was in a game where the the game

30:25score was only 45 for Schiller

30:27Schlitler. And uh yet he they never

30:31scored a run against him. Uh it was one

30:34of those games where he gave up four

30:35runs. None of them earned. Uh so I think

30:37he's only given up two earned runs and

30:39four starts against him. So uh that

30:41that's pretty good. You don't have to be

30:43a baseball fan to know that's pretty

30:44good. Uh to a guy that's been very good

30:47for Boston. Um the Yankees without Aaron

30:51Judge, the they haven't hit lefties as

30:54as well as they had usually. Uh as we

30:57saw with Aaron Judge when they tried to

30:58bring him back early, he wasn't very

31:00effective. So if I hate to say Yankees

31:04fans, I'm not counting on Judge to be

31:07Aaron Judge if even if he does make the

31:09make the playoffs. Yes, he's

31:11intimidating, but uh in in when he did

31:14play in that last series, I could I was

31:16seeing guys blowing the ball right past

31:18him. Uh you don't do that against Judge.

31:20So, uh he won't be the same. So, keep

31:23that in mind. Um but still, if I'm

31:26playing, I'm laying here. I I I prefer

31:29Schlitler here. Um I said in the past

31:32that anytime these two teams get

31:33together, I used usually try to find uh

31:36some way to play the dog. If I'm playing

31:38this one, I I would be on the host in

31:40this one. Uh Boston showed when they

31:42went up against Cleveland late late in

31:44the late late in the season that they

31:47are prone to uh struggle against uh

31:49really good pitchers and uh Schlitler's

31:53probably the best pitcher in the

31:54American League this year.

31:57>> Yeah, I I I mean he's he's going to win

32:00the Sai Young in the AL. He's I think I

32:03agree with that. He's been the best

32:04pitcher in the American League, arguably

32:06the best pitcher in baseball. Well, he's

32:08certainly like top, you could count on

32:10one hand, like he's top three or four

32:12starting pitchers in Major League

32:13Baseball. And the other thing is, you

32:15know, so Russell, I'll pull your comment

32:18up. He says, if you pitch around Ben

32:19Rice, who scares you, Bellinger? Don't

32:21think so. I get where you're coming from

32:23with like Bellinger against the lefty is

32:25is not as feared, if you will. But Cody

32:28Bellinger has been crushing the ball

32:29since he came off the IIL. And the one

32:32thing the Yankees do have, I think they

32:34have some platoon guys that that can

32:37have some success against left-handed

32:38pitching. Brian, you made a great point.

32:40That is where Judge not being active

32:43really hurts you. Uh the the Yankees

32:45lineup with Judge against a lefty is so

32:49much better. And then you you you rewind

32:51a little bit, right? Like when Judge and

32:53you know, Stanton they haven't had all

32:54year, but like go back to to Yankees

32:57playoff teams of past years. like having

32:59Judge and Stanton in there like that's

33:01what balances the lineup out. Now you

33:03have a lineup where it's it's kind of

33:06lefthavy with the guys that are really

33:08you know productive right now. Ben Rice,

33:10uh G Garcia Bellinger. So I get that

33:13you're going to need you're probably

33:14going to need like a Gold Schmidt or

33:16like a Helio Ramos. So maybe like a

33:17George Lombard or Vulpi maybe. I mean

33:20Vulpi hits lefties. Okay. But yeah,

33:23that's uh Tokyo Brand, you know, under

33:25definitely with the the Red Sox haven't

33:27hit it all of late. Maybe this one is

33:29like zero going

33:30>> team total under three and a half might

33:32be good too.

33:34>> Yeah, maybe this one is one nothing

33:36going into like the sixth inning

33:37>> late.

33:39Yeah, it's a good

33:41>> Tessy Betts in the comment. I love that.

33:42Look, your little poodle is so cute. And

33:45thinking of that poodle like laying

33:46money down at a sports book just cracks

33:49me up when I see that.

33:51>> Is it just me?

33:53I don't see a poodle, but Oh, yeah, I

33:56do. I I do. It's the It's the uh the

33:59>> Can you imagine that poodle at the

34:00Westgate? Give me Give me a dime on the

34:03Yankees. Tessy bets.

34:05>> Listen, I do I do think if you ask John

34:07Murray, you can get I I I believe Drew

34:09Martin bets his dog has been at the

34:11Westgate a few times. So, I do think you

34:13can get your dog into the Westgate if

34:15you know the right people.

34:17>> Uh

34:17>> they're always looking for dog.

34:20>> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Right.

34:24>> No, we haven't. We have to get a da d d

34:26d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d d

34:26for Brian's jokes.

34:28>> So, we have not talked uh Cubs Padres's

34:31yet. Uh someone in the chat asked. No,

34:33we're going Here's what we're going to

34:35do. All playoffs. We're just going to go

34:36in order. So, uh the bouncing around is

34:38done.

34:39>> We still will time stamp the show, but

34:41the bouncing around is done. We're just

34:42going to go nice and in order. So, for

34:45us here on the East Coast, Brian,

34:47staying up late tonight. Um it is Cubs

34:49Padres's another very intriguing game,

34:52really good series. Um so kick us off,

34:55Matthew Boyd, Michael King. How do you

34:56see this one?

34:58>> Yeah, Boyd being the lefty. Uh King is

Cubs/Padres

35:00about a 125 favorite right now with a

35:03total of seven slightly to the over 115

35:06120. Um Chicago's won, I believe, five

35:10of the six meetings this year. Um, San

35:13Diego has been playing playoff baseball

35:16for pretty much the last month. They've

35:18been playing for their lives. We've

35:19talked about it all season long that

35:21they had more talent than what they were

35:22showing. So, they are very used to

35:25playing in tight games. Chicago had that

35:28playoff spot locked up for a while. Uh,

35:30and pretty much since the last time they

35:32played the Brewers, they knew they were

35:34stuck pretty much where they were. So,

35:35the games lately have mean meant more

35:37for San Diego. So, they may come in a

35:39little bit more prepared here. Um, it

35:43depends on how much you like the

35:44starting pitcher matchup. Um, I like

35:47Boyd, but he has not pitched well

35:48against San Diego if I remember

35:50correctly. And San Diego's hit him

35:52pretty well. Now, granted, he's he's a

35:55good pitcher. He's been around a while.

35:56You would expect him to have a nice

35:58bounceback here, but he didn't have a

35:59bounce back after his first time he he

36:02played against San Diego. And if you

36:03take a look at his worst starts of the

36:05season, his five like his five worst

36:06starts, two of them were against the

36:08Padres's. So my common sense mind thinks

36:12he'll bounce back. He'll make some

36:13adjustments. He'll that'll help him. But

36:17he didn't do that last time. So maybe

36:19it's just something where the Padres's

36:20hitters being veterans won't fall for

36:22the same things that the younger players

36:24do on some other other teams here. So if

36:27uh if I'm playing this one slightly lean

36:30San Diego, don't know if I'm going to

36:32get there. Uh, as for the total seven,

36:36it's pretty decent pitchers ballpark and

36:39uh we got two good starters out there.

36:41You'd have to take a look at the

36:42bullpens and you know the bullpens here

36:46um it sets up better. That's that's the

36:48one thing when you when you get to the

36:49playoffs here with having everybody

36:51having yesterday off, uh the bullpens

36:54should be in really good shape and if

36:56you weren't fighting to make the

36:58playoffs, your bullpen should be in

37:00great shape because managers should have

37:02uh anticipated that. So, it's it's a

37:05situation for me where uh the bullpens

37:08will play a bigger part of the game

37:10because the games mean more and uh to

37:12have healthy bullpens in that first game

37:15of a series is a reason to play unders

37:18on most of these.

37:21>> Yeah, I'm really interested to see how

37:23the the Cubs are going to handle this

37:27threeame series. Uh clearly Tokyo Brand

37:30the bullp the Padres's have a a far

37:32better bullpen. That's not close. It's

37:34not really up for discussion. I mean,

37:35when you have Mason Miller at the end of

37:37games and the the high leverage relief

37:39arms that they have that the Cubs have

37:41had issues in the bullpen, but being as

37:43it's a three-game series,

37:46you know, c can they pull a starter and

37:49and have like a little bit more help

37:51down there? Craig Council can get pretty

37:54creative in that regard. So, I think the

37:57Cubs are the the better of these two

37:59teams. Like if you were like to pin me

38:00down and say which team is better? Well,

38:02I'm going to probably tell you the Cubs.

38:04But they they've really kind of been

38:06lethargic since that Brewer series

38:08earlier in the month. The Cubs haven't

38:09played great ball. On the flip side, the

38:12Padres's have had to do so much to get

38:14here. Like we've seen this before where

38:17a team goes nuts in September and then

38:20it's like they get to the playoffs and

38:21they're like they're a little bit burnt

38:23out. So, I think it's a really

38:25interesting series. I haven't made any

38:26decisions with this game yet because

38:29like that's I I can feel like I can make

38:31a pretty good case for both sides. So

38:33curious to see what you have here. Cubs

38:35Padres's.

38:36>> Yeah. Remember guys, it's $5 Tuesday

38:39today at wagertalk.com and wager talk's

38:42sister sites uh including picks and

38:45parlays and uh sports memo. So

38:48everything's $5 or free except for the

38:515% plays. So go to wagertalk.com. All of

38:53us will have something up. Mine's up

38:55already. So, go grab a a play for $5.

38:58It's It's a It's a bargain. We are three

39:01of the best cappers at Wager Talk. And

39:03I'm not shy to say that cuz we're all in

39:05the upper rankings of profit for the

39:08year, all three of us. So, uh, and the

39:10double play will be valid until October

39:134th as well. You can pick two of us for

39:14three days all access baseball. On to

39:17the game. Um,

39:19yeah, Matthew Boyd, what Brian pointed

39:22out, this season, he's been poor against

39:24the Padres's, but in his career, he has

39:25a 186 average against these batters. So,

39:28a little uh stats kind of canceling each

39:32other out in that respect. Uh, my

39:35numbers love the Padres's, but the

39:37Padres's have burned me all season. And

39:40I don't know why, like the Cubs, the

39:43Cubs kind of petwutered out at the end

39:44of the season, but like you said, they

39:46weren't really playing for a lot. The

39:48Padres's had the pedal to the metal

39:50because they needed they needed wins. Uh

39:52the Padres's and the Diamondbacks were

39:54probably the two hottest teams ending

39:56the season. So

39:58yeah, I'm torn here because my numbers

40:01say bet the Padres's, but then when I

40:03look at the actual seasonl long numbers,

40:05the Cubs are better than the Padres's at

40:08every hitting category. But like you

40:10said, the Padres's have the better

40:11bullpen. Again, bullpens only matter if

40:14you're winning though or if it's a tight

40:16game and you need to stay in a one or

40:18two run game. Uh if you're losing four

40:20nothing, your bullpen doesn't really

40:22help you that much. So,

40:25uh, I I I guess I would go with the

40:28Cubs, but it's not a very, uh, not a

40:30high confidence, uh, play, shall we say.

40:35>> Yeah, I'm going to I'm going to

40:38see how the day goes with this. Like I

40:39said, I I haven't ruled out betting this

40:41game. I just don't know which side I I

40:43would like I I have pretty strong like

40:47opinions on like how each team wins this

40:51game, right? And it's it like listen, if

40:54the Padres's if I if I feel good about

40:56the Padres's getting through the first

40:58like six innings with a lead, I've got

41:00to love them to win this game with the

41:01way their bullpen sets up and how I I

41:05think what's a little bit like maybe

41:07like underrated here with that scenario

41:10is how poorly the the Cubs bullpen sets

41:12up where I could almost see if the Cubs

41:14were behind, I could almost see Council

41:17starting to be like, "Okay, we have to

41:19have every good reliever

41:22that I trust in a big spot, which is

41:24pretty much guys you can count on one

41:25hand on this Cubs roster right now um

41:28for like game two and game three. So

41:30like I almost I'm not say you can't like

41:33concede a game in a three-game series,

41:35but it's like if you're the Cubs and

41:36you're sitting there and you know that

41:38like it's like seventh inning you're and

41:40you're gonna have you're gonna get

41:41Miller uh Borjon like you know they're I

41:44know I always say his name wrong.

41:46Someone will someone will comment. I

41:47pronounced his name wrong. Sorry. Um,

41:49doesn't matter.

41:50>> That that to me

41:52>> I I could see the Cubs starting to look

41:54toward the game two and saying, "Okay,

41:57we got to be prepared for game two. Our

41:59starter if he has to come out in the

42:01fourth or fifth inning, like we need to

42:03have like guys that we could stack up."

42:05And then of course the Padres's would be

42:06a little bit more limited if all their

42:09top guys pitched today, like pitched

42:11today. That's why these series are so

42:13awesome, these three game series,

42:14because like for me, I I may not have

42:17any action today. I may watch all four

42:19of these games. I did put a few dollars

42:21on that Braves series bet. Um but like I

42:24may watch all four of these games and

42:25just see how it plays out because I

42:27think based on how these games play out

42:29today, you will be able to find a spot

42:31on on Wednesday or Thursday. Yeah.

42:33>> Um so yeah,

42:35>> go ahead, Brian.

42:36>> Yeah, I was just going to point that out

42:37that um it's you mentioned that earlier.

42:40We're going to talk about series prices,

42:42but um yeah, you play the next game

42:44based off of the pitchers that were used

42:45in the game before. So that's that's the

42:48advantage we have over somebody who's

42:50just looking at the records and says,

42:52"Hey, the NBA or the Major League

42:53Baseball players are here." You know,

42:55the guys that have been here all year

42:56long, we should have a big advantage

42:58when we get a lot of um what do they

43:01call well in poker they call it dead

43:03money. I'm not going to say dead money,

43:05but there's a lot of people that say,

43:06"Hey, it's the playoffs now. I want to

43:08play the playoffs. I want to play the

43:09NCAA tournament." We see that every

43:11year. Um, so yeah, that's that's the one

43:14thing going on now with all these other

43:16sports, including hockey, which I will

43:18be on the show in an hour here. Um, all

43:21these other sports going on, baseball

43:22gets pushed farther back, and hey, we

43:25should be able to make some money on it.

43:28Russell, I want to make something clear.

43:29No, I don't feel confident in a play on

43:31the Padres's. I feel confident that if

43:32if you were to say, "Hey, it's 3-2 going

43:34into the seventh. Padres's have a lead.

43:37I' i'd mortgage my house to play the

43:39Padres's in that spot." I want to make I

43:40want to make that very clear. No, I

43:42don't don't feel confident in the

43:44Padres's pre flop, but I'm saying if

43:46they get to the late innings with the

43:48lead in game one, yeah, I I have a

43:50feeling they win that game. Which is why

43:51like the flip side, do I want to bet the

43:54Cubs knowing that I I feel like I'm

43:56drawing dead if I'm losing in like the

43:59seventh inning or later? Like that's

44:01just And again, obviously I'm not. Uh,

44:04anything can happen. One swing of the

44:05bat, but it's just those leverage arms

44:08for the Padres's rested are so good that

44:10I just don't know if I want to be up

44:11against that in this game.

44:15>> Fair enough.

44:15>> All right. So, I guess we'll throw a

44:16parlay. Go ahead. Go ahead, TB.

44:18>> Sorry to interrupt you. I think I know

44:20what I'm going to do my parlay leg on.

44:22Uh, I'm going to go with the Yankees Red

44:24Sox under six and a half in that game.

44:27That's going to be my leg of the parlay.

44:30>> All right, Yankees. Sorry, say that

44:32again. Brian, give us the number on

44:33that.

44:34>> Yeah, Yankees Red Sox under full game

44:36under 6 and a half minus 120.

44:39>> Mine was the mine was the uh White Socks

44:43over eight at minus 117, let's say.

44:48>> So you you're going you're going white.

44:50So both full game totals. You're going

44:52White Socks over eight.

44:54>> Yeah.

44:54>> Over eight minus play today, but I like

44:57it a lot.

44:59>> All right. So, here's here's what I'm

45:01going to do for the parlay. I'm going to

45:04use the Braves in the parlay, but I'm

45:06telling you that I think the better

45:09straight bet is to bet the series price.

45:12Um, and I'm just doing that to to switch

45:14it up. Like,

45:15>> Brian took the uh White Socks game, TV

45:18took the Yankees game. I don't really

45:19have much of an opinion yet in Cubs

45:21Padres. So, I will use the Braves as a

45:24big favor in this game. I think the

45:25Phillies are in a really tough spot

45:27probably having Andrew Painter in this

45:29game for a long period of time and maybe

45:32needing to prioritize their because

45:33here's the other thing which I didn't

45:35say about the Phillies initially like

45:37the Phillies are also in that situation

45:39where if they're trailing to Chris Sale

45:42rest assured that they are going to save

45:44every bullpen arm that they could like

45:47possibly think could help them in a game

45:49to go behind Christopher Sanchez

45:51tomorrow. That's how they will manage

45:52it. If they if suddenly it's like the

45:54the Chris Sales sitting there with a

45:56three-run lead, the Phillies are going

45:58to start to make business decisions

46:00about game two because they're looking

46:02at Chris Sanchez as the game that they

46:04quote unquote should win. So, I will use

46:06the Braves for the parlay. I think I I

46:08just don't again I'm out on the

46:10Phillies. I don't think there's any way

46:11the Phillies are advancing out of this

46:12series. And again, I say that take that

46:15with a grain of salt. Anything can

46:16happen in a three-game series. Uh but

46:19Brian, what are we looking at for a

46:20Braves money line? looking about 195

46:22here. Um,

46:25yeah, 195. And my question would be if

46:29the Braves get off to an early lead,

46:31let's say it's three nothing after five,

46:33a lot of times they will make the the

46:36in-game line where is it the underdog

46:38would score that, you know, gives them a

46:40little bit of advantage. you think based

46:43on your the way you're speaking is

46:45Atlanta would probably be a better live

46:47bet there because they'll they'll be

46:49using the better relievers and uh and um

46:52the other team will not.

46:54>> I want to make something very very clear

46:56because I feel like people are not

46:57picking up what I'm putting down. I have

47:00bet with my own money already. Haven't

47:03given it to clients yet but I'm I'm

47:05about that was for me I think. Okay with

47:08my own money.

47:10>> Yeah. that comment I

47:12>> I'm betting to Braves to Oh, he you

47:14thought he was talking to you.

47:15>> I think he's talking about me because I

47:16said my parlay play is the White Socks

47:19over. I said, but that's not my paid

47:20play on the site.

47:22>> Okay, cuz

47:24>> he said I liked him a lot, which meant

47:26Yeah, I'm assuming he's talking about

47:27me.

47:28>> I would not straight bet the Braves on

47:32the money line. I am putting that in a

47:34three team parlay because I think it is

47:36the best option of what is still

47:38available. If you are going to straight

47:40bet the Braves, I think you should bet

47:42the series at minus 125. I think that is

47:45a very good bet. I can't parlay I can't

47:48I'm not going to put a series play in

47:51the daily parlay that we're doing for

47:53the show.

47:53>> We all know for three or four days a

47:55week,

47:55>> right? So So let me just be so crystal

47:59clear. If you're playing the

48:00three-teamer, I would use Braves game

48:02one. If you don't care about the

48:04three-teamer and you just want what I

48:06consider to be a very good bet, I think

48:08the Braves series minus 125 minus130 is

48:12a very good bet that I've already put

48:14some of my own dollars on. And again, I

48:17may when we get off the show, I'm going

48:19to I'm going to do a I I want to do a

48:20little bit more digging. I may add that

48:22for clients. I never bet series plays

48:24for clients, but like that's just I I I

48:27think that's a pretty big mispric. I

48:29would I would have them more like minus

48:30160 to win the series. I say at least

48:33150. I'm in agreement with you. I may

48:35use that too as a small play.

48:39>> Okay. Anyone else need to clarify

48:41anything before we call it a day? Tokyo

48:43Brandon will give us a promo before we

48:45uh before we hit the road.

48:47>> Like I said, it's $5 Tuesday. Everything

48:49is $5 or free except 5% plays at

48:53wageralk.com. I have one up. I'm sure

48:55these two gentlemen will as well. We got

48:57hockey starting today. We got football

48:59going on. Everything's five dollars, not

49:02just baseball. So uh go to wagerdock.com

49:04and see what your favorite capper has

49:07available.

49:09>> Yeah. And uh we should remind So we did

Parlay of the Day

49:12extend uh management has extended

49:14because there's so many games in the

49:15first round of the playoffs. Uh

49:16management has extended the double play

49:18package. So uh from now through October

49:214th, you can still get the discount. Two

49:23of us, three days discounted rate.

49:26honestly in the playoffs probably the

49:28the best way to do it because you know

49:30you you you know that you're probably

49:32going to get something from a couple of

49:34different games. Um so yeah, t take a

49:36look at that uh double play package. Two

49:38of the three guys that you see on your

49:40screen right here at a a discounted

49:42rate. Um I think that's a great deal. Um

49:45so yeah, let's uh let's call it a show.

49:47Uh we will So again, all playoffs long,

49:50we're hitting every single game. Um

49:52can't you know, it's 9:00 a.m. here on

49:53the East Coast. can't promise I'll have

49:55client. Someone asked for a client play.

49:57Listen, if I have a client play by the

49:59time we do this show, I'm just going to

50:01give it out on this show. Uh I just

50:03haven't put anything in yet. So, I guess

50:05you're going to have to wait for

50:06tomorrow or buy the picks, get the

50:08double play package. Uh but I am

50:10thinking about making that Braves

50:11series. Yeah, it's $5 Tuesday. Um that's

50:14a great point.

50:15>> Five dollars.

50:17>> And Brian Brian Gotti Kapa wants to get

50:20tell them where you're gonna be later

50:21today on the hockey show.

50:23Oh. Uh, yeah. We'll be right here on

50:26YouTube. It's on the hockey show. It's

50:27called, uh, Puck Puck Time, I believe.

50:31And Carmine, Biano, um, and Andrew is is

50:36going to be doing some other things this

50:37year. So, I'm taking Andrew's spot as

50:39the co-host, and we'll have the usual

50:41group of, uh, jokers coming in with

50:43their best bets. So, uh, yeah, it's a

50:45lot of fun. Carmine Carmine's a really

50:47nice guy, and as as TB would say, maybe

50:49the nicest guy in the industry. Uh just

50:52just one of those kind of guys. So we

50:54always have a lot of fun and and we talk

50:56hockey and um I can give you the Las

50:58Vegas perspective since I do go to uh

51:01watch every hockey game out here in

51:02Vegas and used to be a season ticket

51:04holder.

51:05>> So to clarify, it'll be on Wager Talks

51:08YouTube channel

51:09>> uh and it'll be live and they will

51:11stream it on Wager Talks X channel as

51:13well. So

51:15>> yeah, I'm not a hockey guy, but I'm a

51:17puck time guy because when I made when I

51:19when I thought of the idea for this

51:22show, I was like, we need a baseball

51:23version of puck time pretty much was

51:25what I had in in my mind. Yeah, they've

51:28been doing that for a long time. Great

51:30show if you're into hockey. Um

51:33>> the one sport I got to say though before
