Feature requests. Tell us what you were trying to do when you missed the feature. The best ideas on this site started as visitor emails.

Content concerns. If you're a video creator with questions about how your captions appear here, we're happy to help. Transcripts are generated from the public caption data YouTube serves for your video, and we'll gladly remove any cached transcript page on request.

Before you email about a missing transcript

The most common report is a video with no captions yet. YouTube usually takes minutes to a few hours after upload to generate automatic captions, so very new videos often just need a little time. Private and age-restricted videos can't be transcribed at all.
