0:08She weighed less than a skateboard, but

0:10she rode it like a true champion. And at

0:12that moment, it became clear this was

0:15not just a cat, but a natural star.

0:19[Music]

0:25Pooky appeared in our house a year ago.

0:28To be honest, my husband didn't want to

0:30get a cat. He had always been a dog

0:32person, but I persuaded him. And from

0:34the very first minute, I realized that

0:37this was not just a kitten. She was the

0:39walking embodiment of curiosity and

0:41charm.

0:47From the first week, she ran around the

0:49house like a little tornado. She

0:51sniffed, touched with her paws, and

0:53jumped on everything she could reach.

0:55That's when we started sorting through

0:57old things. My husband took out some of

1:00his old skateboards. He stacked them

1:02against the wall. And at some point,

1:05Pooky pushed one of them with her paw.

1:08The skateboard rolled away, and her eyes

1:11lit up with genuine interest.

1:15[Music]

1:17She jumped on it as if she had been

1:19waiting for this her whole life.

1:22At first, she was cautious, placing her

1:24paw on it and trying to balance. Then

1:26she became bolder, moving forward with

1:29the board. And one day, she just jumped

1:31on the skateboard and rode away without

1:34fear, without hesitation,

1:37as if it were as natural to her as

1:39purring.

1:41>> Oh, hi Pooie.

1:43What are you doing?

1:45>> We couldn't believe our eyes, especially

1:48my husband. At that moment, I think he

1:50truly fell in love with Pooky.

1:52Skateboarding brought them closer

1:54together. He skated around the kitchen

1:56and she jumped on him, seizing the

1:58moment. It was as if they were speaking

2:01their own language, a language of speed,

2:04drive, and absolute trust.

2:12At first, everything happened at home.

2:14Pooky rode around the kitchen, tried to

2:16push the board with her paw, picked up

2:18speed, and found her balance. We even

2:20bought her a small ramp. She mastered it

2:23right away, as if it were the easiest

2:25thing in the world.

2:29Soon, people started writing to us in

2:31the comments, "You need to take her to

2:33the skate park." We laughed and then

2:35decided, why not?

2:40And that's where something happened that

2:42was a real revelation for us. Pooky

2:45wasn't scared at all. She entered the

2:48skate park like she owned the place. Her

2:50ears were pricricked up. Her eyes were

2:53shining. She jumped on the board, rode

2:55around the park, and behaved as if she

2:57had always belonged there. People

2:59stopped, filmed her, and applauded. And

3:02my husband looked at her with such an

3:04expression on his face. I didn't even

3:07know he was capable of looking like

3:08that.

3:10>> Come here, boo. Come on.

3:14>> To be honest, I was even a little

3:16jealous. They have a special bond with

3:18Pooky. And not because she's a cat who

3:21can skateboard, but because she's his

3:23little friend, his partner.

3:25Skateboarding didn't just bring them

3:27closer together. It brought my husband

3:29back to his own passions, to the

3:31excitement that probably remained

3:33somewhere in his youth.

3:34[Music]

3:37Now they go to the park together to

3:39skate. She jumps after him like a little

3:41shadow and then she jumps on the board

3:44and races along with him. He laughs. She

3:47purr and it has become part of their

3:50life together.

3:53>> Pooky.

3:55>> Sometimes I think it was Pooky who

3:57showed us how important it is not to be

3:59afraid to try new things. She didn't

4:01think twice, didn't hesitate, didn't

4:04wait for permission. She just took a

4:06step and went for it. And perhaps that

4:08was the best reminder for both of us.

4:11Sometimes you just have to jump on your

4:13board and ride forward wherever the wind

4:15takes you.

4:17>> One, two,

4:19three.

4:22Pooky changed our lives. She changed my

4:25husband and probably me, too. Because

4:28it's impossible not to love this little

4:30girl who is afraid of nothing. A kitten

4:32with the spirit of a true champion.

4:35[Music]
