Introduction

0:00and I'm pairing it together with a 4%.

0:02So, I'm going all in today.

0:04>> Yeah, that's where it gets tricky

0:06because I had no idea like this morning

0:08as in like right now. I had no idea how

0:10you did. I I was back on yesterday

0:12morning because our day the day when we

0:15reference yesterday's place

0:16>> 24 hours ago, the United States, we

0:19think the world revolves around us. We

0:21go by the US.

0:21>> Listen, Brian, I'm worse than that. I

0:23think the world revolves around the east

0:25coast of the US. Like that is the that

0:27is the time everyone should revolve

0:29around if you're for in my opinion which

0:31actually kind of it kind of does if

0:33you're in the US. Most things revolve

0:35around the east coast.

0:37>> Yeah.

0:38>> Which is why I get up so early in the

0:40morning because I have a lot of East

0:41Coast clients. Yeah.

0:42>> As for myself,

0:43>> there's a Yeah. Go ahead, Brian.

0:46>> Yeah. As for myself, uh if you watch the

0:48show yesterday, uh everything I liked

0:52lost. It was one of those days I I think

0:54we all agreed we kind of like Houston

0:56against Seattle. There's no way se and

0:58then Seattle pulls that one out late. Uh

1:00we all kind of like the Chicago White

1:02Socks. I use that as a 2% play. Uh they

1:05fell behind four to nothing in the

1:07first. I had the under eight and a half

1:09and they ended up scoring nine because

1:10of that first inning. Uh yeah, it was

1:12one of those days that everything was

1:14bad. The Chicago game, you know, I I'm

1:17not making excuses. I'm just explaining

1:19short small sample sizes here to a lot

1:20of people that are new to gambling. Um

1:23but um after I get the results, there's

1:27a couple websites out there that will

1:29tell you based on

1:33um how the game played out who should

1:34have won. Joe PETA, great guy, if you

1:37ever get a chance to meet, he wrote a

1:38book probably a decade ago, maybe even

1:40longer than that, called Trading Basis.

1:42He's a stock broker kind of guy and he

1:44he used to bet baseball. He would come

1:46to he would come to Vegas. I think he

1:48was hanging out at the Hard Rock. He

1:49would be here every day betting baseball

1:52and he came up with a thing called

1:53cluster luck, which means like we even

1:57saw it in the Cleveland Boston game

1:58yesterday. All these hits, tons of hits,

2:01and yet one run was scored in the game.

2:05That tells you the game should have

2:06should have had a better chance of going

2:08over, that kind of thing. Well, anyway,

2:10yesterday I had the White Sox. The White

2:12Socks were should have lost the game

2:14with cluster luck. lost the game. It was

2:16a bad bad decision on my own. My 5% play

2:20was the Angels and they fell behind four

2:22to nothing in the first inning. Never

2:24made it all the way back. It was a loss.

2:27I it it's no problem. It was a loss. It

2:30was a bad loss and I apologize for

2:32anybody who bought it. But according to

2:35the deserved to win meter, which is one

2:37of them I used, they had a 72% chance of

2:40winning that game. They had they had

2:43better hits. They just didn't put them

2:44all together. And it's it's it's not an

2:48excuse for my loss. It was a bad it was

2:50a bad loss. But when we talk about

2:52things, we'll say, you know, Trig and I

2:54will say it again. Uh I if it if the

2:57same line came up again with the same

2:58players, I'd play it again. That tells

3:00me I should play it again because in the

3:03long run, it would have ended up as a

3:06winner. It did not. It was not a winner

3:08and it was a definite loss. I'm not

3:10standing by, you know, I'm I'm admitting

3:12that it but um just because you win a

3:16game does not mean you deserve to win.

3:19In baseball and in all sports, uh you

3:23know, you got about 80% of it is skill,

3:2620% of it is luck. And that luck comes

3:29into account one out of five times. And

3:32so, uh we lost the game. No doubt about

3:34it. But like I said, if it was to be

3:36played again today, I think I'd be on

3:38the same side.

3:40Yeah, I I'll quickly add to that. My

3:42only play yesterday was the White Socks.

3:44It was the game that Brian just talked

3:46about. They lost. Uh I would make that

3:48bet 10 times out of 10. I got the exact

3:51setup I wanted. I got to the late

3:53innings. It would have been Hagen Smith

3:54and Grant Taylor had had they not given

3:57up the lead. And sometimes you just got

3:58to tip your cap. Mel Garcia had a really

4:01good at bat off Hagen Smith. he laid off

4:03of a a really tough two- strike pitch

4:06and then the next pitch he got the big

4:07hit that ended up winning the game for

4:09the Royals. As I was watching that game,

4:11I was thinking about Tokyo Brandon

4:12because that was the scenario where

4:15where like sometimes the openers

4:18backfire, sometimes an opener is not the

4:20best decision. And that is a perfect

4:22example where if Eric Fetty starts that

4:24game, the White Sox probably win that

4:26game. Um the the opener simply didn't

4:28work out and they had to chase four

4:30runs. And again, I'll I'll go back to

4:33the double play that Miguel Vargas

4:34grounded into. I as someone that was

4:36also on the White Socks, just a tough uh

4:39tough, you know, came out on the wrong

4:42end of a 5-4 game, I would make that bet

4:44again without issue. We're going to find

4:46some bets to make today. We've got the

4:48chat populating, so let's get into

Padres/Dodgers

4:51things today. I see my buddy Brian Hat

4:54um talking about his Dodgers. We

4:56couldn't get to them yesterday, so we

4:58are making them the feature game today.

5:00This is on MLB Network tonight here in

5:02the States tonight. Probably morning for

5:04Tokyo Brandon. Uh so TB, I'm going to

5:07come to you first. Padres's Dodgers. Big

5:11win for the Padres's yesterday. They go

5:12out in a spot where many probably

5:15thought they were well, they were the

5:17underdog, right? Yamamoto on the mound.

5:19Uh and get a win that was was huge

5:22because Arizona continues to win games

5:25and and put some pressure. Although I

5:27think the Padres's have now actually

5:28jumped to the top spot in that wild card

5:31race with the win. Now we come today,

5:34it's Padres's Dodgers. Let me make sure

5:37I've got the correct pitching matchup.

5:39It's going to be Nick Paveta for the

5:40visitors and Tyler Glass now for the

5:42home team. So kick us off here, Padres's

5:44Dodgers. Anything for you in this game?

5:47>> Yeah, everyone in the chat saying how

5:49bad they got killed. I'm on a 21-2 run.

5:5221-2. I've never been on a run like this

5:54before, so I didn't get killed, but I

5:56don't know what you guys were playing.

5:59Um, anyway, uh, let's get to this one.

6:02Uh, I do have a 5% play out. I'm 4 in

6:05one in my 5% plays this month. So, yeah.

6:09Uh, oh, and by the way, uh, headquarters

6:12decided to extend our double play offer

6:14and triple play offer to October 4th.

6:17So, uh, it's not the deadline. They're

6:18extending it, guys, through the

6:20playoffs. not through the playoffs, but

6:22for a portion of the playoffs. So, yeah,

6:24we got Padres's and Dodgers here. Um,

6:27Dodgers are actually kind of playing for

6:30something. Uh, if you can believe it.

6:32Uh, best record in MLB right now belongs

6:35to the Brewers. Uh, and league league uh

6:39champion uh is I think it's about a

6:42twoame separation between the Dodgers

6:44and the Brewers right now. Um, so they

6:46actually are playing for something. Uh,

6:48isn't that amazing how these injured

6:51players magically reappear five games

6:54before the end of the season? Those are

6:56fake injuries, you guys. Just to let you

6:58know, if you're uh thinking that these

7:01teams are actually being honest about

7:02these players being injured, they're

7:04not. They were holding them out. Now,

7:06they're getting them warmed up for the

7:07playoffs. That's basically how it goes.

7:09So, Pah and Otani are back. Dodgers are

7:12full throttle. These two pitchers are

7:14excellent. Uh, Paveta is walking nobody.

7:18Uh, his walk rate is 14%. That's pretty

7:21amazing. 30 to 40% is pretty average.

7:24And what I do to get a walk rate is the

7:27percent of guys he's walking compared to

7:29how many guys he's striking out. 14% is

7:32just unreal. And Glass Now is 26%. So,

7:35they're both good. I got Pavetto ranked

7:37a little higher than Glass Now, but

7:38head-to-head

7:40uh history favors Glass Now neck

7:42andneck. Uh bullpens pretty neck and

7:45neck. The Dodgers are outplaying them a

7:47little bit and hitting San Diego one,

7:50Dodgers three. Uh thi this is a neck

7:53andneck matchup. This line is way way

7:55way too big in my opinion. I think

7:59Paveta is just as good as glass now. I

8:01think the Padres's bats are just as good

8:03as the Dodgers right now in current

8:05form. If you can take the Padres's plus

8:07one and a half, I think it's great. If

8:08you can get him with the plus half run

8:10in the first five, I think that's a

8:12great bet, too. Um, haven't played it

8:14myself yet, but uh I'm considering it.

8:19Brian, I mean, the Padres's, you know,

8:22went from potentially having to like

8:25battle to secure that final wild card

8:27spot to to now they control their own

8:29destiny to being the top wild card. So,

8:32you want to talk about teams with

8:33something to play for. as the Dodgers

8:35theoretically could still catch the

8:37Brewers in this last four days of the

8:39season, but I I would argue, yeah, like

8:41the Padres's have probably as much to

8:43play for as anyone right now. Um, you

8:46know, especially with teams not having a

8:48ton to play for in general the last few

8:50days since most of this stuff is not

8:52going to come down to the final day.

8:53They come into play 88 and 70. They're a

8:55full game now ahead of the Cubs and the

8:57Phillies. So, yeah, another big spot for

8:59the Padres's here. How are you seeing

9:01Padres's Dodgers? Well, I hate to do

9:03this to you, TB, since you were the only

9:05winner on the show yesterday. Uh, those

9:08are not fake injuries. Those are

9:10sometimes they do rest guys. Sometimes

9:12they'll do that. The guys not pitching

9:14well or whatever. There's really nothing

9:15wrong with them. They'll send him down,

9:17get him out of the major league thing,

9:18that kind of thing. But those were legit

9:20injuries. And uh, and Pes has been

9:23they've been trying to get him back. Um,

9:26I went to the Vegas game last night,

9:29which was the championship in the

9:31Pacific Coast League, and the Dodgers

9:33were playing, and just going through

9:35that lineup one through nine. I'm

9:36looking, I go, these are future Allstars

9:38all over that lineup here for for LA.

9:41>> Um, my question is, if you guys happen

9:44to know, I I think Milwaukee has

9:46tiebreaker over uh the Dodgers, correct?

9:50>> They got two game lead with four games

9:52to go. So, even though the Dodgers are

9:55playing, they got something to play for,

9:57uh, the odds of them winning are not

10:00good. They're going to have to

10:02basically, man, Milwaukee is going to

10:03have to lay down. Milwaukee is not going

10:05to lay down. They said that earlier. Uh,

10:06they're continuing to play hard. Uh, but

10:09I I'm in agreement. I think uh this

10:11Padres's line is a little bit too high

10:13here. Um we're looking at um the Dodgers

10:17at basically about a 170 favorite right

10:20now with a total of seven and a half to

10:22the under. Uh Pavet has been very good.

10:25He's a guy I really like. Um he's had

10:28home run problems in the past, but

10:29pitching in San Diego that doesn't

10:31affect him as much. But the Dodger

10:32Dodger Stadium uh does give up out of

10:36that division, they do give up a pretty

10:38good amount of home runs. Overall, the

10:39runs are are pretty equal, but it is a

10:42pretty good home run park. Uh Glassnau's

10:44a guy when he's healthy, he's very good

10:47and he's coming back and you know, TB

10:51talked about people coming back right

10:52before the end of the season. Yeah, that

10:55they're trying to get everybody back.

10:56They want to get him out there and get

10:58some at bats in the majors. I was

11:00watching the uh Red Sox game yesterday

11:02against Cleveland and they were talking

11:04about it on the game. Uh they brought

11:06back Raphaela and of course he gets hurt

11:08in his first at bat and so we don't know

11:10what's going to happen there. But

11:12they're trying to get all these teams

11:13that are going to the playoffs are

11:14trying to set their pitching staffs up

11:16and they're trying to get everybody a

11:18little bit of action. The Boston uh

11:21Boston announcers were saying they were

11:22trying to get all of their um relief

11:26guys in for at least one probably two

11:29times before this weekend ends. They

11:31brought Chapman back. Looked great.

11:33struck out the side in the ninth inning

11:35in that game. So, yeah, keep an eye on

11:37that. These these guys are they are

11:39gonna if some if somebody's coming back

11:40from injury, they do want to have him

11:42back to play a few games before he get

11:45to the playoffs here. But I preferred

11:47San Diego in this in this game. They've

11:48been playing a lot of important games on

11:51the season uh as of late. And one thing

11:54I did wanted to point out, um, on on MLB

11:58on the MLB.com website, they how always

12:00have a list of how teams do against

12:03better than 500 teams. Uh, the Dodgers

12:07are 36 and 35 against winning teams this

12:10year. The Padres's are 28 and 40. Not

12:13the best numbers. You take a look at

12:15Milwaukee, they're 42 and 29. Cubs 40

12:18and 32. Braves 40 and 29. So, um, yeah,

12:23they're two very good teams, but they

12:24seem to have struggled when they've

12:25stepped up in class this year.

12:29>> Uh, you know, the pro like the price is

12:31going to keep me off this game

12:33completely. Like, but I I would much

12:34rather have the Dodgers here if I'm just

12:36trying to pick who's going to win this

12:38game. I'm not fully sold on Paveta. Like

12:41so he's someone that that recently came

12:43back from injury, had the little thing

12:46in like rehab where he like walked off

12:48the mound and then was out mysteriously

12:50for like two more weeks. Then he came

12:52back threw one and now he's back in the

12:54big leagues and he's been okay like the

12:56last three games like actually, you

12:57know, I would say he's been fine. But

13:00against the Nationals, the Giants and

13:01the Marlins, four or five innings, I

13:04would I kind my gut says like the

13:05Dodgers might hang a crooked number on

13:07him here. I I just don't think like I

13:10don't know. I like for me like I'd much

13:12rather have Tyler Glass now who last

13:14time out really looked dominant. 10

13:16strikeouts over six innings. And that's

13:18not the only sort of dominant effort

13:20he's have since he's come back. Uh the

13:22Tigers game, seven innings of one-run

13:25ball. Like I don't know. I just like two

13:27guys that that missed a good chunk of

13:29their season with injury and have been

13:30back for roughly the same amount of

13:33time. I I just see like GL I think Glass

13:36is just far better. Now that's probably

13:39properly priced into the line here.

13:41Obviously, you're going to have to pay a

13:43little bit to back the Dodgers, but I I

13:46my gut says crooked number here at some

13:48point from the Dodgers after not doing

13:49much offensively last night. And um

13:51yeah, Brian, I'm I'm with you. I don't

13:53think anyone fakes an injury. I think

13:55certain teams just have a little bit

13:57like like you you look at that Oklahoma

13:59City lineup.

14:01>> There's so many good guys. It's like I

14:04think it's more like not rushing guys

14:05back if you don't have to. Um all these

14:08guys want to be out there. No, no one no

14:10individual player if if if some team was

14:13like, "Hey, fake an injury." Their agent

14:15would be on the phone screaming like

14:17that would never happen. So like I Yeah,

14:19I got to put I disagree with that.

14:21>> They don't make the call though. It's

14:23not their choice.

14:24>> In the day of like any player being able

14:26to go to Twitter or social media, like I

14:28promise you they're not faking it. like

14:30it's just they're just that's just not

14:33happening.

14:34>> Yeah. In a long season, you you're not

14:36going to go through it. You got aches

14:37and pains all the time and somebody like

14:39Otani, you know, they don't need to win

14:40these games

14:41>> and so they're giving them some time off

14:43to rest. Um so yeah, it's uh it's it's

14:48it's pretty much common sense and and

14:50and you're right about the agents and

14:51all that. Um they would be on it. Um,

14:54you know, a lot of times I I think about

14:56that when a when a guy's not playing

14:57well, I go, well, look at look at uh

14:59third baseman for Cleveland, an all-star

15:01guy came back too early from the injury

15:04and has not performed well in the last

15:06week or two. He's he's starting to come

15:07around, but he hurt the team for a month

15:10there. So, uh, yeah, he should have

15:11probably being a team leader, he

15:13probably should have said, "Hey, send me

15:15down to the miners. Let me get my [ __ ]

15:16together before you put me back up." But

15:19he, these guys are macho guys. They

15:22don't want to admit, you know, when

15:24they're not 100% and uh we see it all

15:27the time.

15:29>> All right, let's move on. Freeird, we

Reds/Braves

15:32did yesterday. So, Freeird like the

15:34Braves on the money line. I pushed back

15:36on that. I said I would take the Reds

15:37plus one and a half and then they both

15:38hit. Braves got it done in extra

15:40innings. Uh the 32 final means you would

15:44have won either way if you took the

15:45Braves on the money line or the Reds

15:47plus one and a half. This is the other

15:49nationally televised game today. Uh,

15:51this one's going to go on Fox Sports 1

15:54uh at 7 PM Eastern. We've got Tyler Mi,

15:58former Red Tyler Mi for the Braves and

16:01Brady Singer for the visitors. Brian

16:03Leonard, I'll come to you first. My

16:05initial gut was again, do I just run it

16:07right back with Reds plus one and a half

16:09here? This looks like another big number

16:11for the Braves to have to, you know,

16:13cover in what's not the biggest game for

16:15them. So, Reds Braves to you.

16:18>> Yeah, we talked about that yesterday. Uh

16:21great job by um Sale. I didn't remember

16:24what everybody had, but they were down

16:25one to nothing after five and I thought

16:27somebody might have had him in the first

16:29first half. And uh Cincinnati had a

16:32really nice pitch game by good for him.

16:35Uh but Mi's looking to be about a 115

16:39favorite here. Total of seven and a

16:41half. Mi's been really good and and I

16:45continue to say these things about guys

16:46when they when they're healthy, they

16:48look really good at glass. now that uh

16:51you know a lot of the other guys we've

16:52talked about Paveta uh that's the way

16:55it's been with Molly and he's on a nice

16:57run of health and he hasn't had many of

17:00those over the years but when he's

17:02running well uh he's a guy I'm looking

17:04to back now am I willing to lay 215 no I

17:08won't lay that especially in a game

17:09that's with a total of seven and a half

17:11and not expecting many runs to be scored

17:13here um in fact I talked about this

17:16yesterday um when I take a look at the

17:19weather reports just about all the games

17:22are looking at uh the winds blowing in.

17:25Uh Wrigley Field 27% less runs and

17:28bowling straight in. It's not heavy

17:30winds, but Yankee Stadium heavy winds

17:33blowing in a little bit. So, um you

17:36could see it while you watch the games

17:38yesterday. For the most part, a lot of

17:40lowercing games and I would expect a

17:42little bit more today. And you can

17:44definitely tell, you know, even without

17:45knowing what the weather is, you can

17:47look at some of these lines in these

17:49games. We're seeing some sevens. We're

17:50seeing seven and a halfs. We're seeing a

17:53six in the Yankee Stadium today with

17:55Seymour and Schlitler. Um yeah, you you

17:59know, the winds aren't blowing out and

18:01and the whole thing is when you're

18:02looking at the Chicago Cubs, that's the

18:05most wind driven uh team in baseball. Uh

18:08we're seeing totals of seven there. So,

18:09you know, the wind's blowing in with B

18:10Boyden Phillips there. But um if I'm

18:14playing, I don't know if I want to get

18:15there with Cincinnati, but I can't lay

18:18that number with Atlanta. So I I don't

18:20have much in this game. I will say

18:22Atlanta got one of their better bullpen

18:25arms back yesterday for the first time

18:26in a long time. The former Padres is

18:29back there. So he came in, he pitched it

18:31in and gave up a run, I believe. But

18:33that back of that bullpen in Atlanta is

18:35going to be awesome for these playoffs.

18:39TV, the rubber match of this series. The

18:41Reds actually did take the opener on

18:44Tuesday, four to nothing and then fall

18:46short last night. So, Reds Braves to

18:49you. Who are you seeing in this one?

18:51>> Yeah. Um Molly's pitched great. Uh

18:55surprisingly, I've never really liked

18:57him, but he's pitching well. Um, if

19:01Atlanta had anything to play for, I I

19:04would fully back them here with the

19:06minus one and a half, but their spot is

19:09secure. This is spring training for

19:10them. They just want to keep guys arms

19:12warm and uh just keep guys in their

19:15rhythm. Uh, they don't care if they win

19:18this. Um, so it's tough, especially to

19:22lay that number on a team that really

19:24has nothing to play for, but they're a

19:27lot more talented than the Reds. But

19:28usually in a situation like this, uh,

19:31the lesser talented team is actually

19:33trying harder, which is kind of strange.

19:36But, um, it I wish I I would love to

19:40take the Braves in this, but I can't

19:42because they just have nothing to play

19:44for. So, I'll probably lay off this

19:46game.

19:48Yeah, I would like to take the red

19:50similar to yesterday, but I I can't Matt

19:52Brady Singer right now. He's just he's

19:54been terrible. I mean,

19:56>> uh 15 walks in his last three starts,

20:00which has spanned 12 12 and a third. Um

20:03you're like, "Oh, well that's, you know,

20:04whatever. Maybe he's worked around him."

20:06No. Uh in that same period of time, 21

20:08hits. He is just he has just gotten

20:10absolutely bombed. Three consecutive

20:12starts in a row. U just want absolutely

20:14no part of him right now, though. I

20:15think minus 215 on a Braves team that's

20:18not playing for much is a crazy number.

20:21So, nothing for me there. Let's

20:22continue. Let's move it along. Uh, back

Brewers/Phillies

20:25to the chat. Alex Rants this morning,

20:27fellas. Can we talk Brewers and

20:29Phillies? So, Tokyo Brandon, back to

20:30you. As you mentioned, the Brewers are a

20:33win maybe two away from locking up the

20:35top record in the National League.

20:38That's uh, as we've discussed on this

20:39show, is a very big deal to them.

20:41They've they've come out and said it.

20:43They really want to win. They really

20:45want that one seat and it makes complete

20:47sense if you're going to have to beat

20:48the Dodgers to get to the World Series.

20:50It's going to be hard enough. At least

20:52you want to be at home uh with the home

20:54field advantage doing it. So, Brewers,

20:57Phillies, Brewers can wrap it up. I'll

20:59have to double check. I think they need

21:01two wins, but if they have the

21:02tiebreaker, maybe they need one win to

21:04do it. Uh I think they will be trying to

21:07do so. The question is, do the Brewers

21:09get it done here? So, TV Brewers

21:10Phillies, what do you got? So, as good

21:14as as good a team as the Phillies are,

21:17if you look at their rankings, they

21:19actually rank like 18 or worse in almost

21:22every category I'm measuring, which is

21:24kind of surprising because they're super

21:26talented. Uh, you know, contender almost

21:29every year, year after year. Uh, but

21:32their bullpen is really struggling right

21:35now. And the Brewers bullpen is not

21:38struggling. Um, that's where I see the

21:40biggest discrepancy in this game. I got

21:42them Brewers about 20 points higher on a

21:45scale of 30. Uh better than the Phillies

21:48as far as bullpen's current form

21:50hitting. Also, the Brewers are hitting a

21:52lot better than the Phillies right now.

21:54Uh they're just on a roll. This seems

21:56like a team of destiny. Painter is

21:58interesting. He his walk rate is really

22:01good, but his overall expected numbers

22:04are really bad. So, yeah, it's Brewers

22:08or nothing. I don't know much about

22:09Bryce Wilson, but uh I think you could

22:13pretty much I mean pretty much put

22:15anyone in there. I think the Brewers are

22:16the better team today.

22:20>> Yeah, Brian, we have um looks like Bryce

22:23Wilson is going to take the mound for

22:25the Brewers. This is The Brewers are

22:27like one of those they you know those

22:29people that go to like antique shops or

22:31like find like old stuff and junk and

22:33they're like, "Yeah, I could do

22:34something with that. I might be able to

22:36fix that up." That's what the Brewers do

22:38uh with picking restoration. Like

22:39they'll basically take anyone and be

22:42like, "Yeah, no, we can mess around with

22:43that. We could let's see what we can do

22:45with that." The guy was getting

22:46absolutely bombed. Uh I think he was

22:48with the Phillies organization. Oh, so

22:50coincidentally, he was with the Phillies

22:52organization. He was with Lehigh Valley

22:54to start the season. Uh had like a nine

22:57erra for like the first month of the

22:59year. Ends up getting DFAD. And who

23:02grabs him? The Brewers do. And what do

23:03they do? They put him in the bullpen.

23:061.93 RA, 0.93 whip in the month of

23:09August. Uh they send him back down to

23:12Nashville to make a couple starts again

23:15just because because they can because

23:17they have, you know, just more pitching

23:19than they need. They're just messing

23:20around a little bit. Last time out in

23:22Nashville for four shut out from, you

23:25know, as a starter. So again, it's it's

23:28just funny how some of these teams are

23:29just so much better than others in in

23:32certain areas that don't get a lot of

23:35like, you know, just attention. The

23:37Brewers have just killed it for years

23:39with their development, their pitching

23:40lab, if you will. And who knows, Brian,

23:42maybe Bryce Wilson is the newest success

23:45story for the Brewers. Um, he's thrown

23:48the ball great for the last month and a

23:49half. What do you think he does here?

23:52Yeah, according to fan graphs, um they

23:54signed him as a free agent. Uh he was

23:56with the Cubs. Uh this was in July and

23:59he's been out with a lower back.

24:02>> Yep. I think he got DFA maybe by the

24:04Phillies. He made one appearance and got

24:05sent down.

24:06>> Right. Right. Uh so he's had a strained

24:08lower back. I I forgot to mention Akunia

24:11um I believe got hit by a pitch or

24:13something yesterday, so he might not

24:14play for the Braves today. So that's

24:15always important to note in that

24:17previous game. Uh yeah, Bryce Wilson. Um

24:21he's 28 years old, almost 29 now. Um he

24:25will be getting the start. Um

24:28from the standpoint of the Brewers,

24:31yeah, they they they've been fighting

24:33hard for to win every game. Um they not

24:36only want to win 100 games, which would

24:38be the next to win, they've already set

24:39the record. Um I believe 98 was the

24:42record for wins in a season. So now they

24:45got a chance to win 100 games. And that

24:47doesn't happen very often. And I believe

24:48it's only happened like twice in the

24:50last four or five years. The team has

24:52won 100 games. So that's an important

24:53milestone for him. Obviously the most

24:55important is to have home advantage over

24:57the Dodgers in the playoffs. So uh

24:59you're going to get everything you get

25:01out of Milwaukee and they've got one of

25:03the best, if not the best manager in

25:05Major League Baseball. So you always

25:07want to find a way to play the Brewers

25:09if you can. Uh right now Milwaukee is a

25:13slight underdog. They got Painter going

25:15for Philadelphia. He's about a 120

25:17favorite here with a total of seven and

25:19a half to the over or more closely to

25:21the eight and a half to or eight to the

25:23under. Um I I would prefer Milwaukee.

25:27Painter's been a little bit up and down.

25:29Um talent-wise, the guy's got it. He's

25:33just hasn't put it all together yet.

25:34He's had his real good starts and some

25:36bad starts. Philadelphia right now is a

25:39team that um is pretty much where they

25:42are. um they could still you mentioned

25:45how they're doing compared to the

25:47Padres's. They're a game behind the

25:49Padres's for the number one spot right

25:50now. Uh tied with the Cubs. So, it's

25:53those three teams basically. Uh Arizona

25:56still got outside chance, but you know,

25:59in realistic speaking, it'll be those

26:01three teams making the playoffs. Um

26:03nobody wants to play the Brewers, nobody

26:05wants to play the Dodgers, but they're

26:07going to get buys that first round. So,

26:09um, the bra the, uh, the Phillies are a

26:13team right now that I'm in agreement

26:15with TB.

26:17I just don't think it's their year. I've

26:18seen enough out of them this this season

26:20that they have some good players. Uh,

26:23but overall, you know, their starting

26:25pitching has led them most of the year.

26:28Uh, they do have good starting pitching.

26:30Some little bit of concerns in the

26:31bullpen. They had to send Kirking down

26:33to the miners. Um, so in the long run, I

26:37don't think the Phillies are going to

26:38last long in the playoffs. And I

26:39Milwaukee is the better team and you're

26:40getting the better team here. You know,

26:42you can get them at, you know, plus 105

26:44out there in some places. So that would

26:46be the way I would look in this.

26:48>> Right. You were right. You you were also

26:50right. He was uh he Bryce Wilson

26:52actually got DFA twice this year. Once

26:54by the Phillies, once by the Cubs that

26:56only the Brewers and maybe like two

26:58other teams could pull that off. Guy

26:59gets DFA twice. Brewers grab him. sub

27:02two erra for a month uh at the big

27:04league level. Just incredible stuff from

27:06them.

27:07>> Yeah, the Rays are another one.

27:09>> The Braves have picked up a lot this

27:10year that way, too.

27:11>> Raise and raise. Yeah.

27:13>> Yeah. I mean, it's the reason

27:15>> it's the reason that since the beginning

27:17of last year, no team in Major League

27:19Baseball has won more games than the

27:21Milwaukee Brewers. Yeah. They didn't win

27:22a title last year, but since the

27:24beginning of last year, no team has won

27:26more game than the Brewers. Uh won more

27:28games than the Brewers. I do think that

27:30they will continue to play hard uh until

27:33they have that one seed locked up.

27:34They've said it on a number of occasions

27:36that that's a goal for them. It's

27:38important for them and so yeah, I I I

27:41think it's Brewers are passed for me

27:42here as well. Okay, let's go back to the

27:46chat. We're we're cruising right along.

27:48I'm I'm

27:49sure someone's going to want to talk day

27:51baseball um since we have talked about

27:54three night games, but it's a Thursday

27:56and there's day games. So, I will I I'll

27:58I'll bring up the game that we kind of

White Sox/Royals

28:00teased at the top of the show. Uh Royals

28:03White Socks will play the rubber match

28:05of a three-game set. Huge implications

28:08uh for the AL Central since the

28:10Guardians also lost yesterday and the

28:13White Socks currently have the

28:14tiebreaker. So, uh White Sox need this

28:17one. Um obviously, they needed it last

28:19night, too. Couldn't get it done. It's

28:21going to be David Sandlin and Randy Dock

28:24this afternoon at Coffman Stadium.

28:26Brian, kick us off. White Sox Royals,

28:28how do you see this one?

28:29>> Yeah, David Sandlin, uh, currently

28:31ranked the 156th best pitcher over at

28:34Fan Graphs. Um, 25 years old. Uh,

28:38righty. We're going uh he's going up

28:42against Randy Dabneck, who is starting

28:45to turn into what you projected

28:47beginning of the season, and that's a

28:49journeyman pitcher. Um, Sand Din got off

28:53to a great start. Has not pitched as

28:54well as of late. Sland's about a one,

28:57let's go 125 favorite here. 8 and a half

29:00to the over, nine to the under. 8.75.

29:04Um,

29:07the White Socks yesterday had to use

29:10Hagen Smith in a losing game. Uh, 33

29:13pitches. I don't think they'll be

29:15bringing him back. Hicks 20 pitches,

29:18Nukem 25, and Hudson in that first

29:21inning called us all. Although I do like

29:23Brian Hudson, but he didn't have it

29:25yesterday. Uh but other than that, the

29:27the previous two days, uh none of those

29:29guys pitched. In fact, you go back to

29:31Sunday, only uh Hagen Smith pitched. So,

29:33the bullpen still in pretty good shape

29:35for the White Sox in this one. From a

29:37hitting standpoint, Vargas remains

29:39redhot. Uh did well again yesterday.

29:41He's 10th in baseball over the last

29:44week. Makami starting to come around

29:4641st in baseball and uh Chase Maidra

29:5015th. They've all been very hot lately

29:52and they continued to hit pretty well

29:53yesterday. Do have some concerns about

29:55Kyle Teal. Um he he has not hit since

29:59they brought him back up. He he's a guy

30:01that they were really counting on since

30:03the trade for the uh for the Red Sox. Uh

30:06he's their catcher of the future, but he

30:07has not hit well this year. But from um

30:11from that standpoint, I I do like the

30:13White Socks a little bit. Um obviously

30:16the need is there, but you know, when

30:18you're you're a 500 ball club, you're

30:20going to need a lot of lot of games all

30:23season long. And um Randy Dominic could

30:26talk about him. He's ranked 138 on the

30:28season, 141 over the last week. Uh they

30:31did have to use Steven Cruz yesterday,

30:32but they hadn't used him since Saturday.

30:35Uh Nate Pearson last three days haven't

30:38used urs pitched yesterday hadn't been

30:40used before. So basically both bullpens

30:42are in pretty good shape here from the

30:44weather standpoint. Let me get a quick

30:46look at this one in Kansas City. It's

30:48not blowing in as much as the others.

30:50They're expecting a 1% uh less than

30:53normal. So that's not really affecting

30:55this game at all. And um we're looking

30:58at the total as I said with eight and a

31:00half. I I I like the under yesterday.

31:03Other than that first inning, it played

31:05to the under. Didn't get the victory on

31:07it, but uh it's the way I would probably

31:09look in this one. Um Don Neck has a

31:12pitch as well, but with all the bullpens

31:14available here, especially from the

31:15Chicago standpoint in these must-win

31:17games, uh they'll have no problem taking

31:19Sandland out of there if they don't

31:21think he's effective. So, I kind of like

31:22the under in this one.

31:24>> TB White Sox Royals to you. How you

31:26seeing this one?

31:27>> Yeah, just to let you guys know, the

31:29double play. Two of us three. uh all

31:32baseball, all access for three days has

31:35been extended to October 4th. You can

31:37get that and also a triple play where

31:39you can pick one capper and get six days

31:41for the price of three for baseball

31:43only. Uh that's also been extended. Just

31:45to let you know, I have a 5% play up

31:48today. Uh number one last seven days,

31:50number one last three days, and I'm sure

31:53Adam and Brian will tell you what they

31:55are going to put out today as well. So

31:58grab a double play at wageralk.com.

32:00go there, find our capper page and uh

32:03you'll see the deal there. So, regarding

32:06this game, um Sandlin very very

32:11uh Jacqueline Hyde, I mean he's given up

32:14zero, one, but he's also given up five,

32:18six, eight. So, uh my expected numbers

32:22on him like him a lot though, actually.

32:25Um got him ranked uh 12 out of 30 on a

32:29scale of 30. uh with his expected

32:31numbers uh factored in and current form.

32:34So I think he's the more reliable

32:36pitcher here. Donak has given up seven

32:39eight 14 runs in his last four starts.

32:43So uh not a lot of faith in him,

32:46although I kind of liked him earlier in

32:48the season, but he's fading away. Uh

32:50neither bullpen is trustworthy.

32:53Uh and the Socks have the better bats

32:55right now. So, it looks like a White

32:58Socks first five to me. Um, depending on

33:01what number you can get for that. Uh,

33:03that's probably how I would go. It's

33:05only minus 120 something. Um, yeah,

33:08that's probably how I would go because I

33:10can't trust this bullpen further than I

33:12can throw them. As a matter of fact, I

33:13can't trust either one of these

33:14bullpens. But, yeah, I I like I like the

33:18pitcher and I like the hitting for the

33:20White Sox a little better.

33:23I I have no issues with the White Sox

33:25bullpen. I actually think they're very

33:27trustworthy and they're in great shape

33:29here. You're going to get like Grant

33:30Taylor hasn't pitched in days. And I'll

33:32tell you what, I'll tell you what. I I

33:34So I just bet the White Socks. Um as

33:37like as we were teeing this uh game up,

33:40uh it's 4% play for me. I'll give it out

33:42here free on the show. Uh I have a 5%

33:44NFL play tonight. I've yet to lose a

33:46regular season NFL game. So, because I

33:48want you to go get that, I'm going to

33:50give you uh the baseball play out for

33:52free. Uh I cost myself 5 cents uh by not

33:56putting the White Socks in before the

33:57show. I'm not sure why I didn't just put

33:59it in. Hopefully, it won't matter. I saw

34:00this took a little bit of money um as I

34:03was doing it on the app. Looks like

34:04minus 125 now. Uh it was minus 120

34:08before the show. So, hopefully though

34:09that won't matter for us. Uh TV, I agree

34:12with you. Sandlin, I like him. Much

34:13better option than Randy Donak. I'll

34:15just quick hand quick Randy Dnack. I've

34:18said all year 4A guy probably belongs in

34:21Triple A. Uh Triple A has been a

34:23journeyman his whole career career.

34:25Incredible run for him when he came up

34:27earlier this year. Not something I ever

34:29expected, but he's starting to pitch

34:31back toward what I expect him to be.

34:33Whereas David Sandlin has a lot of

34:36upside. He's got a good fast ball. Um I

34:38I actually think Sandlin could be pretty

34:40good. He's someone that I thought has

34:42thrown the ball extremely well in

34:44TripleA this year. Um has thrown it well

34:46when he's gotten a chance at the big

34:48league level. Uh so I have no problem

34:49backing Stanley. The reason I do like

34:51the the White Sox bullpen now, yeah, it

34:54didn't work out last night. They got the

34:55big hit off Hagen Smith, but it's not

34:57like the White Sox bullpen pitched

34:58poorly. They gave up one run. It was it

35:01was the opener that gave up four of the

35:03five runs. Listen, tip the cap. Muel

35:06Garcia gets one big hit, scores one run

35:08off Hagen Smith, the White Socks. You

35:10mean to tell me they couldn't do

35:11anything for the final six innings of

35:12that game?

35:14The Royals, hey, again, we'll tip the

35:16cap to guys like Urs

35:18Go came in. Goss, whatever his name is,

35:21got out of a jam. Uh, Steven Cruz locked

35:23it down. How often are the Royals

35:25bullpen going to do that? This hasn't

35:26been a great bullpen this year either.

35:28So, are you going to get that effort

35:29from the Royals bullpen again today? I

35:31don't think so. Noah Schultz has made it

35:34so Grant Taylor's the more valuable

35:36option in the White Sox bullpen. Why?

35:39Because Noah Schultz as a reliever is

35:41starting to look a lot like Hagen Smith.

35:43It's almost like you could interchange

35:44those guys. Now, I would still prefer

35:47Hagen Smith. I think he's the better of

35:48the two options. But since they've moved

35:50Noah Schultz into the bullpen, like the

35:53last maybe two, three weeks, he's been

35:55shut down. So, I think at the end of

35:56this game after Sandlin, you're going to

35:58get probably Noah Schultz because he

36:00pitched on Tuesday, didn't go that long.

36:02But certainly, this is the game where

36:04Grant Taylor, if he needs three innings,

36:06he will go three innings.

36:08Venable will not lose this game because

36:10of taking Grant Taylor out of the game.

36:12I think you see him I if if he needs

36:15three innings from Grant Taylor here to

36:17close this one down, you're going to get

36:19the full Grant Taylor experience at the

36:20end of this game. That is valuable.

36:23White Sox is a 4enter for me. It is also

36:25my leg of the parlay. Brian, are we

36:28still seeing like minus 125? I saw this

36:30one taking money as I was trying to put

36:31it in.

36:32>> Yeah, you can get as low as 120 out

36:34there, but as high as 129. 125 is is

36:37pretty good.

36:39>> Yeah, like I said, it was minus 120

36:41before I got in the show and I kind of

36:43was like, well, I'll think about it for

36:44the hour. Maybe we'll talk about it on

36:46the show. And as soon as I checked,

36:48looked out, I was like, oh, it might be

36:50going, so we might as well lock it in.

36:51But yeah, I I think they bounce back in

36:54this spot to take what is a very

36:56important series for them um in the

36:58grand scheme of things right now. So,

37:01that is a 4enter for me. So, you got a

37:03free client play here on the show. We

37:06still need two legs to lock in our

37:07parlay. Brian Leonard, do you know where

37:09you want to go for the parlay just yet?

37:11>> Yeah, we talked about it earlier. Uh, I

37:14got to go with Milwaukee in that price

37:16range. Um,

37:17>> all right. Throw it to TB then. Do you

37:18have a game we haven't talked about yet?

37:20>> I do. I do. I am going to go to my

37:25hometown, which is Arizona. Um, we're

37:29going to look at the Diamondbacks and

Diamondbacks/Rockies

37:31the Rockies. Uh, Diamondback's

37:34desperation mode. They're clinging to

37:38some pretty thin playoff hopes here, but

37:40they've been winning a lot lately. And

37:43they have one of my favorite, well, I

37:44don't know if he's my favorite, but uh,

37:47they have a pitcher I really like on the

37:48mound today in Rod uh, going against a

37:52Colorado pitcher. I I read Gordon. Uh, I

37:56read somewhere that uh the Rockies are

37:59not the Rockies are not the worst team

38:02in MLB history, but they share the worst

38:08uh one of the worst uh dubious records

38:10in MLB history. They have four straight

38:13seasons of 100 plus losses. Uh that's

38:16only happened a couple times in history

38:18and they're part of it. So, um

38:21Diamondbacks are desperate here. They're

38:22they're they're trucking right now.

38:24they're winning and uh I like their

38:26bullpen. I I I've been trashing their

38:28bullpen at the beginning of the season,

38:30saying they only have left-handed, they

38:32have zero left-handed guys, etc. But

38:34they've been playing really well

38:36recently. I like their hitting. Uh

38:38Rockies are hitting okay. That's their

38:40one redeeming factor. But, uh I think

38:43the Diamondbacks I I realize it's a it's

38:46a sweep situation here, and I generally

38:49don't like to bet those, but I think the

38:50Diamondbacks really need this game. So,

38:53give me Rod and the Diamondbacks here

38:55for my parlay league.

38:59>> We will we will go back to the parlay at

39:02the end of the show. I just want to get

39:03a game that we haven't talked about in.

39:04Uh so, let's talk about this one

39:06further. Dax Rockies, do you agree or

39:08disagree with Tokyo Brandon?

39:09>> I agree with the side. Don't know if I

39:11agree with the number. Uh the number's

39:13about 190 for Arizona right now. Total

39:16of 10 uh for the most part. Slightly to

39:19the over. Yeah, I'm in agreement. I

39:21wanted to find a way to play Arizona. I

39:24don't tend to play 190 road favorites

39:26very often, but I see no compelling

39:30reason to play Colorado here. So,

39:32anytime TV has come up with these games,

39:35and I say I shouldn't, like yesterday, I

39:37believe you you had a a pretty high

39:39price play and I think it won. Uh, but

39:42you you have the ability to win these

39:44games. Uh, I you got more balls than I

39:47do. And by the way, Arizona is not a

39:49town. That's a state.

39:51So

39:52said it was your hometown of Arizona,

39:55but

39:56>> I was reading I'm not a multitask also

39:58not in Arizona. So there you go. Not

40:00going

40:01>> even better.

40:03>> But uh yeah,

40:04>> I don't know what I'm doing.

40:05>> I I I if you're going to play that game,

40:09Arizona's I I really think Arizona's

40:11going to win if you got if you got the

40:13gumption to lay that kind of number.

40:17Um, I I'm gonna I'm gonna take the other

40:20side here. Again, I'm I I don't know if

40:22I'll take it for any dollar. So, but

40:24again, this is this show is about

40:25information. This show is about, you

40:27know, getting out different viewpoints.

40:30I I think the I think the Rockies, if

40:33they're listen, if they're going to care

40:34about one game the rest of the year,

40:36it's going to be their home finale after

40:38today. They hit the road to play the

40:39White Socks for three games. um you know

40:42they as crazy as it sounds this will go

40:46this will be viewed as a successful

40:49season for them like it sounds crazy but

40:52where they were last year they took a

40:54step forward this year like from last

40:56year last year this team was

40:57historically bad this year yeah they're

41:00going to lose 100 games again but but

41:02certainly not a historically like poor

41:04team this year um so again I I'm not

41:06saying they have anything to celebrate

41:08but it's their final home game. They're

41:11consistently, one thing about Colorado

41:13and Kors Field, they're consistently in

41:16the top 10 in the league in attendance.

41:18Like the fans, you know, they they show

41:20up for their games. They'll probably get

41:22a decent crowd for their home finale.

41:25And I think they may, you know, from a

41:26from a man from a managerial

41:28perspective, you might see them use

41:31their better pitchers here. Now, what

41:33does that mean? I think you're probably

41:34I I don't know if you could see some uh

41:37Tanner Gordon here, maybe Jose Canana. I

41:39I have to like go through and again I

41:41have not bet this yet. I got to go

41:43through and see when certain guys have

41:45pitched for the Rockies over the last

41:46few days, but they haven't won in a

41:48couple of days. So, you got to think

41:49they're what the the the pitchers they

41:52would choose to be in a game would all

41:54probably be available here. So, like for

41:57that reason, I I just couldn't lay this

42:00number with the Diamondbacks on the

42:02road. I'd rather have the Rockies plus

42:04one and a half. They you know, they

42:06haven't won in a few days. They haven't

42:08used their top relief arms. So, you

42:11know, again, it's it I think they could

42:14hit Eduardo Rodriguez. Yeah, last night

42:16Mason Adams went six innings, so you

42:18really only use Man Freddy. Uh probably

42:20the only guy that maybe wouldn't be

42:22around here. Price is way too much on

42:25the Diamondbacks. I I'm actually

42:26considering Rockies plus one and a half.

42:28Not sure if I'll get to the window with

42:29it, but there's some there's some value

42:30there in my opinion. Brian, you look

42:32like you want to say something. Go

42:33ahead.

42:33>> Yeah. Um I I agree. I there's some

42:36hitters that young hitters that have

42:38come up for Colorado this year that I

42:41think are part of their future. It has

42:43been another losing year for the

42:45Rockies, but um I I am seeing some

42:48bright spots and you didn't see many

42:49bright spots last year. The one thing

42:51against your play is is a major thing

42:55for me. If you take a look at the

42:57Rockies on the season, they're 57 and

43:00101. They're 20 and 60 against teams

43:04with a winning record. That puts them at

43:0637 and 41 against teams with a losing

43:09record. I I don't mind playing the

43:11Rockies when they have a team that they

43:13can compete with. Uh going up against a

43:15Diamondbacks team here who is in playoff

43:18mode, fighting for everything they've

43:20got. 20 and 60 against winning teams

43:23keeps me off of uh anything with

43:26Colorado.

43:28>> Yeah. And and again, I I don't I I don't

43:30really uh you know, this is more of an

43:32opinion for me. I think there's some

43:34value with that plus one that I'm sorry,

43:36some value with that plus one and a

43:38half.

43:38>> Probably not something I'll uh probably

43:41not something I'll play. So, just

43:44giving giving a different viewpoint.

43:46>> I'll just say that playing hard at home

43:48is one thing, but having the ability to

43:51beat the other team is another thing.

43:52So,

43:53>> yeah, that's all.

43:54>> And and and I'll be honest, I just don't

43:55think the Diamondbacks are a great ball

43:57club and they they've kind of won a

43:58couple games in a row. I think I think

44:00it's just like false hope right now for

44:02them. Um, so I couldn't lay them in the

44:04price. What is the price, Brian? What

44:05are we looking at for a money line?

44:06>> Yeah, it it's expensive. Um, let me get

44:08to that.

44:11Uh,

44:13got so many things open here on my

44:15computer. Sorry about that.

44:16>> It's minus 190.

44:17>> Yeah. And minus 190. Yeah.

44:21>> Yeah. It's more of a price. It's more of

44:23a price thing for me. But yeah. Yeah,

44:26that that's

44:28that is a uh but yeah, we'll we'll see

44:30about that one. Um, Colin Gregory says

44:33the Rockies aren't winning another game

44:34until next year.

44:36>> It agrees.

44:37>> I I'll throw I'm going to throw

44:38something crazy out there. I think the

44:40Rockies finished the year two and two. I

44:42I I think I I would be the the White Sox

44:45is that's not just going to be some walk

44:47in the park for the White Socks that

44:48final weekend, especially if they have

44:50like I could see the the Rockies being a

44:52little bit of a thorn in their side

44:54potentially. And if if the White Sox get

44:56to Sunday and they rest everyone,

44:58Rockies probably win that game too. So,

45:01>> there is one team that's playing worse

45:02than the Rockies, and that would be

45:04Cincinnati. In my opinion, I got

45:06Cincinnati ranked really bad in every

45:08>> Oh, I'd much ra Oh, yeah. I'd rather

45:10have the Reds right now for sure.

45:13>> Yeah.

45:15>> I do want to point out as we're

45:16speaking, uh, the Phillies have taken a

45:19lot of money. It just got hit.

45:20>> Yeah. Yeah.

45:22>> And I'm going to use Milwaukee as my

45:24part of the parlay. And now I can do it

45:26at a better number. I'm seeing uh

45:29anywhere from 110 to 120 out there right

45:31now. Let's go an average of let's go

45:34113. Milwaukee plus 113. That'll be part

45:37of my that'll be my part of the parlay

45:39today. Um I don't care if money's coming

45:42in on Philadelphia. Um obviously it's

45:45it's sharp money this time of day. I so

45:47I can't say I don't care, but let's just

45:50say I disagree with it. um they're

45:52they're playing against Bryce Wilson and

45:55we don't know what Milwaukee has done

45:56with Bryce Wilson. So, uh

45:59>> yeah, Mo Milwaukee Milwaukee's team

46:02where

46:04even if they rest some starters some

46:06games,

46:08their starters are not you you don't

46:10they don't have elite players other than

46:12may maybe uh the outfielder, but they've

46:15got good players all around, even on the

46:16bench. So, I I don't I don't mind that

46:19at all. I'll take Milwaukee plus about

46:21the 113.

46:23>> They're so disrespected. They have the

46:25best record in in all of MLB two years

46:28in a row and they're still getting plus

46:30money, right? That's crazy.

46:34>> All right, let's head back to the chat.

46:35We were always going to talk one more

46:36game. So, let's get one more game in

46:38here. I will go to uh what the one I see

46:42the most comments with. It's another day

46:43game. Um Tokyo Briden. I was I was

46:46surprised that the um free yep you know

46:50what freeird that's that's the one I'm

46:52going to go to. He's he's he he comes in

46:54last second with a donation. I I had two

46:57games in mind. I had two games in mind

47:00and he picked the one that I wasn't

47:02going to go to and now I'm going to go

47:03to his. So he says Mets again today.

47:06>> Thornton on the bump. Yeah. You know you

47:08you the the need to win argument. you

47:11can throw that out the window when it's

47:12come to the Rangers because they've

47:13needed to win all week and they can't

Mets/Rangers

47:15seem to do it. Uh the Mets continuing to

47:17play good ball, continuing to be a thorn

47:21in their side. So Thornton here against

47:24Kumar Rocker, I believe it is for the

47:26for the Rangers.

47:28>> I don't know, Brian, what what what do

47:29you do with this? The Rangers, they need

47:31to win yet they can't win a baseball

47:32game.

47:34>> That's for sure. Yeah, we've said you've

47:36said you were you guys were the ones

47:38that were saying earlier that they're a

47:39500 ball club and they're proven that

47:42they are a 500 ball club. Uh Kamar

47:44Rocker, you take a look at his home

47:46numbers. This is a good pitcher

47:48ballpark, but yet he's got a 4.87 RA at

47:51home.

47:53Uh his uh yeah, his advanced stats show

47:56that um he's not hasn't pitched very

47:59well in this building. His game log on

48:01the season's 47, league average is 50. I

48:04will say his last two times out uh he

48:06pitched very well, a 54 against Toronto

48:08and a 57 at Arizona, but he's not a guy

48:12that I trust in this situation.

48:15And uh it's a team playing with a lot of

48:17pressure on themselves and they're not

48:20they're not answering for it. Um they

48:23have hit lefties overall on the season

48:25pretty well, but

48:28um

48:30it is somewhat of a concern right now.

48:33Uh you take a look at their lineup. Um

48:37they've they've had uh some

48:40some of these guys have not played well.

48:42Right now the only guy hitting well is

48:43Lanford. He's at 69 overall the last

48:46seven days. Everybody else is struggling

48:47with the bats a little bit. So if I'm

48:49playing, yeah, I I'm looking to play uh

48:52the Mets. The Mets for to all their

48:54credit uh with all the veteran players

48:56they've had. Um, they've already

48:59extended. I believe that was the Mets

49:01manager that they extended. Uh, he's

49:03going to come back and I believe they

49:05signed for a three-year contract. So,

49:07I've actually been kind of impressed by

49:09the way that, uh, he has got the best

49:11out of this team as the season's gone on

49:13considering they were expected to be a

49:16playoff contender. Uh, they continue to

49:18play pretty well. So, you're getting

49:19them at plus the line right now is Texas

49:22about 130 with eight and a half to the

49:25under 20 basically. Uh, I'm I have a

49:27slight interest here with the Mets. You

49:29can get them as high as 112 out there,

49:30115 right now. Um, I'm somewhat

49:34interested in the Mets in this one.

49:36>> Yeah, Tokyo Brandon, the the I haven't

49:39found my way into this series with the

49:41Mets yet, but the need to win tax is is

49:44too much for the for the Rangers here. I

49:46felt like the Rangers were overpriced

49:48this whole series, and I still think the

49:50Rangers are overpriced. Again, even

49:52after losing two, you think, okay, maybe

49:54you get a little bit of a adjustment in

49:55the line, get a little bit of a

49:56discount, but the books are still

49:58pricing the Rangers as the pre like kind

50:01of like premium option here. And I too

50:03disagree with that. So, Mets, Rangers to

50:05you. Anything for you in this one?

50:08>> Yeah. Um, this is a weird one because

50:12everything points towards the Mets, but

50:16uh, Rocker has in his to to his credit

50:19has pitched a little bit better lately,

50:22although he rarely gets out of the fifth

50:24inning. Um, Thornton's

50:28his numbers, I mean, his expected

50:31numbers versus Kumar Rocker, not a lot

50:33of difference between these pitchers.

50:35Um, I do like Thornton better though.

50:37But, uh, bullpen almost even, hitting

50:41almost even. Um, the Mets are just a

50:45little bit better at everything than

50:46Texas here. But the thing is, the Mets

50:48won the first two games. And, uh, really

50:52hard to sweep a team, guys. I I would

50:54have to go with the Rangers just for

50:56that. That's not enough for me to put my

50:58money on them. But I I have a feeling

51:01the Rangers are going to win this game,

51:02but I'm not going to bet it.

51:05It's a good point about the expected

51:07numbers for Thornton. He he

51:10he's not like I'm not like dying to back

51:12him per se. You know, there's definitely

51:14some like expected batting average isn't

51:16very good. He did doesn't you know there

51:18there's a lot of blue on his Savant

51:20page, but I do think the one thing

51:21playing in his favor here, I doubt

51:23anyone on the Rangers has ever had an at

51:25bat against him. uh because he's where

51:28he came up in the miners relative to

51:29where the Rangers players did. Uh

51:31they've probably never seen Zack Thor uh

51:34at any point in time. So again,

51:36interesting game I think I lean with

51:38with Brian and and the fact that there's

51:40just val the value is on the Mets here

51:43and they've played really good ball. You

51:45know, the Mets haven't had anything to

51:46play for for a while now. They've played

51:48good ball. They extend their manager.

51:50It's a team building toward next year

51:51and and I kind of think they probably

51:53finish the season strong. So yeah, I I

51:56it's a good discussion on that game. Not

51:58maybe not so super actionable, but I

52:00thought a good discussion on that game.

52:02Freeird uh is going to lead us into our

52:05our parlay. Uh first, let's go around

52:08the horn real quick. Tokyo Brandon 5%

52:10play going tonight.

52:125% and a 4%. I batched them together in

52:16one package. Uh so you can get that at

52:18wagersalk.com. You can also get that

52:21included in a double play with myself

52:23and one of these gentlemen. Uh and it's

52:26also available in a triple play which is

52:28six days for the price of three. So lots

52:30of ways to get it at wageralk.com.

52:3321 and2 run right now.

52:36>> Fantastic stuff. Speaking of batch

52:38together, um Wager Talk just put a

52:41special up for my NFL season. Uh there

52:44it's on the specials tab. They're going

52:45to throw college football in for free.

52:48Um, if you get it today, it'll include

52:50my 5% play, which goes in the NFL

52:53tonight. I'm number one.

52:54>> And you're number one in football right

52:56now?

52:56>> Yeah.

52:57>> Yep. Number one in football right now in

52:59college and NFL combined. Uh, number one

53:01in NFL if you include the preseason. And

53:04I've yet to lose a game in the regular

53:05season. 4-0 through week one in week

53:08two. So, trying to stay hot with a 5%

53:11play tonight. And that special is only

53:13up until the end of September. At the

53:15end of September, it is gone. So, take

53:17advantage of that if you are looking for

53:20long-term NFL. Brian, what do you have

53:22going on the website for tonight?

53:24>> Yeah. Uh, if I use baseball, I'm

53:25probably going to use the Milwaukee

53:27game. So, uh, that will be given out for

53:30free once again here. Apologize for the

53:32Angels loss yesterday. Um, yeah, we it's

53:36a baseball show, but they do have the

53:38weekend warrior package up for football

53:40on the site. I was wondering who is

53:43number one overall in football right now

53:45because I'm number two. Uh and I've got

53:48I'm nine and four in the NFL and off to

53:49a great start in college as well. Um

53:52I've got a play tonight in the NFL game

53:54and I also have a college football game

53:56tomorrow. Haven't even put up my

53:58Saturday and Sunday card yet. So uh if

54:01you want to get that weekend warrior

54:02package, go out and grab it. Um, we got

54:05number one and number two, uh, football

54:07handicappers on the site, even though

54:08we're on the baseball show and not on

54:10the football shows. Um, just proves that

54:13we're all three of us can win in other

54:16sports. So, keep that in mind.

54:20>> Yeah. Um, I actually I do have a

54:22football show with Rob Veno, 10:00 a.m.

54:25Eastern on Sundays. So, we're we're kind

54:27of your your last ditch um info before

54:30the games kickoff. We go at 10:00 a.m.

54:33live. Uh, it's called the playbook. It

54:35is the same format. It's Veno and I just

54:37kind of bouncing games around and and

54:39answering questions in the chat. So, if

54:41you haven't seen it yet, we are going to

54:43be on again for week three on Sunday at

54:4610:00 a.m. Um, I did I I'm going to give

54:49out my baseball for free today as well.

54:50I played the White Socks. It's a 4% play

54:53for me. Um, that one goes this

Parlay of the Day

54:55afternoon. I'm going to put it up on the

54:57on my under the free p picks tab as

55:00well. We'll throw a little bit of

55:01analysis. I'll probably pin this video

55:04in there. And that is going to kick off

55:06the parlay. So, I'm on the White Socks

55:08minus 125. It's a 4% play. Brian is

55:11going to go with the Brewers as Freeird

55:13says, uh, playing for win number 100

55:16tonight. Uh, he's going to go with the

55:17Brewers. That's plus 113. And Tokyo

55:21Brand is going to finish us off.

55:22Actually, well, kind of start us off. TB

55:24and I are both during the day. So,

55:26hopefully we can get to the White Socks

55:28or the the Brewers Lake. Uh he is going

55:30with the Diamondbacks in a day game at

55:33Kors Field minus 190. So that is your

55:35three-teamer today. Three full game

55:37sides. We got the White Socks money

55:39line, the Diamondbacks money line, and

55:41the Brewers on the money line. That

55:43brings us to the end of our show. Uh

55:45enjoy the games all day today everyone.
