0:02so who is this guy clint why are we
0:04shaking hands
0:06and what does it have to do with joe
0:08rogan and
0:10podcasts well
0:12you know about two weeks ago i posted a
0:15video and i said i've got a big problem
0:17i need your help
0:19and i basically said
0:21you know it's it's painful for me to
0:23make content i have to think up all of
0:24this stuff and communicate it and i just
0:26want things to flow
0:28and so i made this video and i released
0:30it and i was asking people to apply if
0:32they
0:34were videographers or youtubers and
0:36basically asking for
0:38their help um so that
0:41you know you they could help me make
0:42youtube content on a consistent basis
0:44and basically add value to you guys and
0:46girls
0:47now basically as soon as i posted that
0:50video
0:52i saw in the comments
0:54people were saying oh so basically
0:56you're looking for a d-rock and i was
0:58like who's that so i googled d-rock and
1:01it turns out that's garyvee's
1:04like videographer basically a dude that
1:06follows him around and with a video
1:08camera and documents his life
1:10and it seemed like that was the general
1:12sense that people were getting from like
1:14what i was asking in the video and i was
1:15like oh my god that's my worst nightmare
1:18that is not what i want at all
1:20um
1:21and then i i was thinking about it a bit
1:23and i noticed all the people that were
1:24applying for the role and if you're one
1:26of the people that applied thank you
1:28very much for your application um
1:31a lot of them were videographers or they
1:33were youtubers
1:35and i was thinking this isn't really
1:36what i want to do like when i'm doing my
1:39work i just want to do my work i don't
1:41want to be
1:42anxious because there's someone
1:44following me around and i'm worried
1:45about what i'm saying or doing it's just
1:47it's just doesn't flow like that and
1:49that's not what i want so you know i
1:51thought about it some more and i was
1:52like well really what would be the most
1:55natural way to make content and add
1:57value to you guys
1:58would be
2:00to do a podcast like joe rogan
2:03and to basically invite interesting
2:07guests on
2:08and
2:09just have
2:10have normal conversations with them but
2:13about their business right
2:16and you know i know there's a lot of
2:17business podcasts out there so why would
2:19this be different well just imagine
2:21the joe rogan of the course world or the
2:24info world the coaching world there's
2:26many different names for this this this
2:29world where people basically
2:31sell information or advice so people
2:34with masterminds group training programs
2:36courses
2:38coaches all of these things right so
2:40basically the joe rogan of that world
2:42where i invite really interesting people
2:45in and just talk to them like ask them
2:47what they're working on how they run
2:49their business how they get traffic
2:51their business model structure
2:54you know just just conversations about
2:56business because i'm naturally curious
2:57about all of this stuff
2:59and i i'm talking to people about the
3:01stuff all the time anyway
3:03and
3:04then it would just be like i'm just
3:05having normal conversations following my
3:08curiosity
3:09and
3:10then it would make really awesome
3:12content on a consistent basis and it
3:14would be very natural i don't have to
3:15think i'm making a video i just talk to
3:19people and it makes a video if you get
3:22what i'm saying
3:23so i decided to go that route
3:26and basically
3:29i've got some notes here because i can't
3:30remember all this stuff so
3:33yeah i had an epiphany i'm going to
3:34start a podcast the joe rogan of the
3:36course space now it's going to be in
3:38person
3:40in la so you know we're not going to do
3:42any of that junk zoom podcast stuff it's
3:45only going to be we're going to quality
3:47control everyone we bring on so it's not
3:49just going to be everyone
3:51they have to be people doing interesting
3:52stuff in this info course base world
3:56and
3:57it's going to be in person here and it's
4:00going to be long form like two to three
4:02hours and it's going to be like a real
4:04flowing conversation it's not going to
4:06be like a structured interview where i
4:07come up with all of these questions and
4:09stuff beforehand i'm just going to
4:10follow my curiosity and have real
4:12conversations with people um
4:15and
4:16we're gonna basically copy the joe rogan
4:19setup like you know with the video
4:21cameras and it's gonna be super high
4:23quality
4:24it's and we're gonna have a producer
4:26producing it just all of that just think
4:28joe rogan of course is
4:30um
4:31and we're just really going to be
4:33talking to people that are making cool
4:34things happen and sharing what they do
4:37now you know in order to make a podcast
4:41what do you need well that's what i
4:42recently thought about well you need a
4:44jamie which is the producer
4:47and that's
4:48who clint is so clint watched my last
4:50video and
4:52he applied and you know clint has been a
4:56podcast producer in the hip-hop world uh
4:59for like five or ten years so he's got a
5:01lot of experience producing podcasts
5:03he's got a great personality he's the
5:05perfect guy to have in the room when
5:07we're interviewing people um and so you
5:10know i just met with him before he came
5:12over to la from atlanta and he's going
5:15to be the podcast producer and so he's
5:18going to be the jamie of this this thing
5:20and that's who clint is
5:22now
5:23you also need a studio right
5:25i'm going to build one at our office
5:27here in la
5:28and i've already found the guy that even
5:30made joe rogan studio so we're going to
5:32make it you know we're going to make
5:33this quality we're going to use the same
5:35equipment
5:36and we're going to get the same guy to
5:38build the studio
5:39and we're going to get this is going to
5:41be super high quality only quality
5:44guests that are done in person right
5:46none of this zoom stuff
5:48um so we've already sorted out the
5:50equipment
5:51i've already found the guy that built
5:52jorgen studio so we're about to kick
5:54that construction project off i've
5:56already got my jamie the producer
5:58and i've already lined up some guests um
6:02and so
6:03i'll share you know
6:05what this is going to be like basically
6:07so like you know we're going to have a
6:08desk like this some microphones clint
6:11will sit where jamie sits at this
6:13basically control thing some different
6:15cameras that switch between the guests
6:18you've if you've seen jorgen you know
6:20what i'm talking about
6:21and
6:22here's and i'm going to run through a
6:24few uh people we're probably going to
6:25have on the podcast starting off so you
6:27can get a sense of of you know the
6:30people we're going to talk to so there's
6:32this guy called daniel contreras
6:34and he's got a super interesting story
6:37he was a barber and he went from
6:39charging 16 a haircut to 150 a haircut
6:43and now he makes he helps other barbers
6:46make 20 grand a month by
6:48um
6:49basically charging higher prices doing
6:52more interesting haircuts and marketing
6:54themselves effectively and his company's
6:57called new era of barbering and you know
7:00he's he's not in this like normal
7:02business sales space he's helping he's
7:05helping barbers make more money and he
7:08runs an info business in the space and
7:10he makes seven figures doing this um and
7:13we're gonna interview him and hear his
7:15story and hear how he's doing things
7:17because this is super interesting well
7:19at least i find it super interesting and
7:21then there's this guy blake lagrange so
7:25he
7:26his story is you know he
7:28he knows how to master music right which
7:31is basically the audio engineering after
7:33it's been recorded
7:34and he started a company called
7:37mastering.com and he teaches artists how
7:40to master their own music
7:42and he runs a multi-seven figure
7:45business doing this and you know he's
7:47mastered music for you know a lot of
7:49people like
7:50nine inch nails
7:52and like skrillex and asap rocky
7:56he's you know in kanye west he's the
7:59real deal he's been mastering
8:01music and now he teaches other artists
8:03how to master their music and he runs a
8:05seven-figure info business doing this
8:08then there's mariah
8:10and mariah runs a very successful
8:13business teaching like course creators
8:16how to make
8:17money selling courses without doing
8:19sales calls without doing the phone call
8:21part which is quite interesting and she
8:24makes like half a million dollars a
8:26month doing this so she's super
8:27successful and her approach is super
8:30unique
8:31and so you know we're going to get her
8:32on and we're going to see how she does
8:34it and hear her story and everything and
8:37then there's my friend andrew argue and
8:39he started
8:40he started out with me a long time ago
8:43like i don't know maybe like must be
8:44coming up six years
8:46when he just had an agency and he was
8:48making like 10 grand a month kind of
8:50thing
8:51now
8:52he helps accountants right
8:54so his journey has been super
8:56interesting he's gone from selling it's
8:59kind of similar to mine in a way he went
9:00from
9:02selling digital marketing to then
9:04helping accountants
9:06with
9:07basically run a bit of practice and he
9:09had a mastermind and he had some courses
9:10in that space and he grew a multi-seven
9:13figure business in the training industry
9:15for accountants and then he spotted a
9:17big problem that all these accountants
9:18had which was a software problem to do
9:21with taxes and now he built out this
9:24thing called corvie which is a full-on
9:27sas platform that's very successful that
9:29helps
9:30tax advisors and accountants
9:33save their clients money on taxes so
9:36that they can charge higher fees
9:38so you know he's immersed in the world
9:40of accounting and tax and he's done the
9:42training stuff the info stuff and now
9:45he's into the software stuff and i've
9:47known him for a long time we always have
9:48interesting chats so you know he's
9:50another person we could bring on
9:52then there's another guy droid henry
9:55and gerroid helps
9:57painters
9:59make more money
10:01selling their art online without needing
10:03to go through the traditional route of
10:06like
10:07art galleries and stuff right
10:09and
10:10he's been very successful at this he he
10:13makes seven figures himself helping
10:15artists but not only that he's helped a
10:17lot of artists like this guy here
10:20um who's got some awesome work he's
10:22helped this guy go from like
10:25being you know just your normal kind of
10:27artist which you know a lot of artists
10:29are quite broke to like being very
10:31successful and selling a lot of work
10:34online and making quite a lot of money
10:36actually for like
10:37an artist that isn't in a normal gallery
10:40right
10:40and you know i've looked at even some of
10:42his artists work and it it's super
10:45impressive
10:46and i even i even bought this painting
10:49off one of geroyd's
10:51artists right so like this i think a lot
10:54of people have a lot of misconceptions
10:56about the space they think that the only
10:59people in this course world are like
11:01teaching people how to make more money
11:03or how to do marketing or how to do ads
11:06or something
11:07but that's not true there's a lot of
11:09people in the space that have really
11:11interesting stories and they're helping
11:13people with things that aren't even
11:14business related
11:16like blake helping artists master their
11:19own music or geroid helping painters
11:22sell more of their work
11:24there's a lot of really interesting
11:26stories and a lot of interesting people
11:29and there's a lot of people that are
11:30very successful doing very
11:33obscure things like daniel helping
11:35barbers charge two hundred dollars a
11:37haircut
11:38and you know some of their students are
11:41like cutting here
11:42out of their like garage at home they're
11:45not even in salons right and they're
11:47making really good incomes
11:50and these guys are running and girls are
11:52running like million dollar a year plus
11:54businesses doing this stuff i think
11:57this
11:58this world of like courses and info and
12:01coaching
12:03it's bigger than most people think
12:06it's way more interesting than most
12:07people think it's way more diverse than
12:10most people think like in terms of
12:12like
12:14what people are helping people with
12:16and
12:18there's a lot more money in here than i
12:19think
12:20a lot of people are aware of and so what
12:22i basically want to do is instead of
12:24just
12:26sitting in front of a whiteboard and
12:28showing you guys some concept right
12:30which i know you you liked and you would
12:32like me to keep doing it but you know
12:35sometimes things change
12:37and so
12:38um
12:39instead of doing that i'm basically
12:41going to bring in people
12:43in this world and i'm going to follow my
12:46curiosity have conversations with them
12:49and get them to share their stories and
12:51how they're running their businesses and
12:52what things are working for them right
12:54now
12:55and i honestly believe in doing that
12:57that
12:59my channel will be way more interesting
13:01first of all it'll be
13:03it'll cover way more different
13:05perspectives
13:06and i honestly think you'll learn a lot
13:08more from it
13:10because you'll be hearing about the
13:11things people are doing so it'll be
13:13you'll learn more you'll get more value
13:15you'll be more successful because of it
13:17and it'll be more interesting um and i
13:20it'll be a lot easier for me to make
13:22right which means there'll be more
13:23content more often
13:25all of that stuff
13:26so
13:28why am i making this video well i just
13:30wanted to update you on you know what's
13:33going on right
13:34so
13:35you guys
13:36here's the podcast project timeline so
13:40first step was hire a podcast producer
13:42done that's clint
13:44all right
13:46build the podcast studio this i'm about
13:48to kick this project off
13:51we've we're already starting to get this
13:52equipment
13:54then we'll do some practice sessions to
13:56get the flow right
13:57clint's already on his way over to la
14:00he's relocating over here
14:02um
14:03so you know
14:05we'll be we'll start practicing as soon
14:06as the studio is built find some
14:08interesting guests well i've already got
14:10some lined up the ones i shared with you
14:13but please suggest some if you know
14:15anyone doing some interesting stuff
14:18in an interesting niche or that's very
14:20successful in this course
14:23info coaching mastermind world
14:26suggest them leave a comment and say
14:29what their name is
14:30um
14:31or if you know them personally tell them
14:33and get them to reach out um because we
14:36want to have them on and we want to we
14:38want to share like what they're doing so
14:40that their business can grow from from
14:42this awareness and that
14:44i really just want to build this
14:45industry right i what i realized i'm
14:48passionate about after a while is this
14:50space like i really just want to help
14:52people in the space run more efficient
14:55more profitable businesses that help
14:57their students get better results faster
15:00and i also want to build tools for this
15:02space so like school which is the
15:04platform that people can run their
15:06business on
15:07so i want to run some education in the
15:09space right which is my mastermind and
15:11stuff
15:12helping people be more profitable and
15:14successful in in this space
15:16i want to provide the software platform
15:18and i also want to provide
15:20the stories and that's where the podcast
15:23comes in and i want to bring awareness
15:26to how cool the space is because i think
15:28you know you should join the space
15:31there's a lot of money to be made in
15:32here it's a lot of fun
15:34and
15:36yeah
15:37and i want to also help grow everybody
15:40else in this space right um so i want to
15:43grow the industry and i want to i want
15:46to help out people that are doing some
15:47really interesting stuff
15:49so suggest some people then we're going
15:52to record our first episode and then
15:53release the podcast and that's when you
15:55guys will be seeing it so i honestly
15:57think all of this stuff can probably be
15:59done in four to six weeks and we can
16:00probably have the first episode out in
16:02the next four to six weeks
16:05but what i'm going to do leading up to
16:07that is i'm going to update you
16:09as we go so each week
16:12i'm going to release a video and it's
16:13just going to kind of be an update like
16:15this
16:17and
16:18that way you know as the studio is being
16:20built i can show you the work in
16:22progress as we're getting the equipment
16:24set up i can tell you about it when
16:25we're practicing it i can show you how
16:28we're thinking of recording it and get
16:30your feedback
16:31and then you know you're already going
16:32to be helping out with the guests um
16:36we're really going to be co-creating
16:37this together honestly
16:39and you know clint had been following me
16:41for four years bef and then he saw my
16:43last video and he reached out and so
16:45we're really going to be building this
16:47thing and evolving it and developing it
16:50together
16:51so
16:52how can you help well
16:54start by just liking this video if you
16:56liked it and then subscribe so that you
16:58get updated as we progress you know when
17:00the studio is getting built when we've
17:02got when we're ready to interview the
17:04first guest all of that stuff so
17:07subscribe like the video and then leave
17:09me a comment and let me know what you
17:11think of this podcast idea give me some
17:14feedback
17:15and if you know somebody doing cool
17:18in the course in infospace tell us in
17:20the comments
17:22and so
17:23that's basically it for today's video
17:27i wanted to introduce you to clint
17:30and tell you
17:31that
17:32we are starting a podcast it's going to
17:34be the joe rogan of this course info
17:37world
17:38and
17:39yeah we're going to do this project
17:41together
17:42so like the video subscribe leave a
17:44comment let me know what you think and
17:46if you know someone doing some cool
17:47tell us in the comments
17:49and i'll see you next week
