0:23Welcome back to Newtom Medical Device Sales.

0:26I am your host, Jacob McLaughlin,

0:28and today I have a very special guest,

0:31one of our members from Newtom Medical Device Sales,

0:35who was able to break into medical device sales

0:38at an OTE of six figures who came from a nursing background.

0:43And at the young age of 27,

0:45I get to offer you all the advice from Nikolina Jurizek.

0:49I probably butchered the last name,

0:51but we're going to keep it going.

0:53But Nikolina, welcome to Newtom Medical Device Sales podcast.

0:56Hi, thank you, Jacob.

0:58It's been such a pleasure, you know,

0:59getting to know you and your team.

1:01And I'll just kind of start off by telling you guys

1:03a little bit about, like, why I jumped into this.

1:06Yeah, of course. Let's hear it.

1:07Awesome. So, like Jacob said, I'm 27 years old.

1:10I've been a nurse for almost about six years.

1:12I was inpatient for a while.

1:14I'm from Chicago originally.

1:15So I did inpatient, like, starting off as a new grad.

1:19It was getting, I was getting overworked.

1:21I wasn't liking how I was looking.

1:23So I started to go to outpatient.

1:25And I did outpatient surgery for about a year as well.

1:29At that time, COVID rates were still pretty high.

1:30So I took the advantage to go make some more money,

1:32did some travel nursing, did that for three years.

1:36Loved it, got to see, you know,

1:38I lived in Arizona for two years where you're from.

1:40Beautiful.

1:41Loved it, wish I could have stayed.

1:43But, you know, I decided I wanted to move back to Chicago

1:46for family and personal reasons.

1:48So I took the opportunity to kind of do some research

1:51and seeing what I could do with my nursing degree.

1:53I had my master's in clinical education.

1:55So I always knew I wanted to do some kind of teaching,

1:57something on a broader spectrum.

2:00And after working, like, at different surgery centers

2:02as the contract nurse, I, like, talked and met

2:05so many different reps.

2:07I got to know a little bit about what they do

2:09on a day-to-day basis.

2:11And then I went down this rabbit hole.

2:13I saw your podcast.

2:14I watched your TikToks.

2:16Like, I looked into your company's website

2:19and I was just like, oh my gosh, this looks like something

2:21like I need help on.

2:23Like, it's something that I want, but it's just I need it.

2:25I need that extra step and that extra little push.

2:27Yep.

2:28And that's when I kind of, like, fell into this whole,

2:30like, med device world and I really was researching

2:32different companies and what stood out to me.

2:35I did cardiac and urology.

2:36So those were the kind of two main aspects I was looking at.

2:40But urology just really hit me.

2:42I feel like there wasn't enough females

2:43in the industry for that.

2:45And then that's when I fell upon Caliq.

2:47So after taking your guys's course,

2:49you guys helped me with all the mock calls, all the modules.

2:53It helps really prepare you.

2:54They loved my 30, 60, 90 and business plan.

2:57They were like, literally this guy that he's my coworker now,

3:01he's like, I've been doing this for 20 years

3:03and I've never seen anybody bring me this.

3:05Just so you know, I just have to put that out there.

3:07Just so you guys know, people are always like, oh my gosh,

3:09I've heard that probably a thousand times

3:11over the last four years of what we do.

3:13Hence why we get people hired at six figures

3:15and not starting at your $50,000.

3:17Just shout out to everybody.

3:17But yeah, go on.

3:19Yeah.

3:19So I remember coming to my ride along

3:22and I brought him this binder and he's looking at and he's laughing.

3:25He's like, how much did you pay for this freaking thing?

3:28And I'm like, I just came prepared, man.

3:30Like, I don't know what to tell you.

3:32And he literally could not stop smiling.

3:33He's like, this is incredible.

3:36So those were really major things.

3:38And not only just bringing that, but I had to do my own research

3:42and I found out more about the company

3:44and I loved it even more after just like reaching out

3:46to all different reps, like learning more about the product.

3:49So it was really quite the experience

3:51and I'm still learning so much.

3:52So I'm like super grateful to like be here today.

3:55First off, amazing to have you because everybody,

3:58we were just talking off air.

3:59We were talking on, never forget my call.

4:01I was out in San Diego doing training with our team,

4:05getting on a call with Nikolina and how scared she was.

4:08And the reason I say that is it's not just her.

4:10Every nurse that I ever get on a call with is terrified

4:15because they went from, and I say this out of love.

4:17It's like every joke I always have is,

4:18as long as you have a heartbeat and a certification,

4:21they have a job and every nurse always laughs when I say it.

4:24But then it's like this huge investment

4:26into a whole different world that you guys aren't aware of

4:28and that you spent four years of going to school for.

4:31And then also not being rude, but like a lot of times

4:34when you guys will make this jump, crab in the buckets,

4:37all the other nurses usually will look down on you,

4:39make comments, oh, you think you're better than us.

4:41So it's you are leaving a friend group

4:43or a group that you were a part of to go make a change.

4:46And first off, I always just say this to nurses,

4:49if that is your case, don't even tell other nurses

4:52'cause usually they're just gonna tear you down.

4:54So it doesn't even do any good.

4:55But I just say that because I remember our first call.

4:57I remember how scared you were.

4:59I remember staying on with you and just saying,

5:00hey, I know it's all gonna work out.

5:02I know we're gonna get you in at Six Figures.

5:04I know you're gonna be able to do it.

5:05And here you are smiling Six Figures in med device sales.

5:09So I wanna just put that,

5:10but a couple of things I wanted to touch on.

5:11Number one, you said that you did travel nursing.

5:14I wanna put this out there.

5:15I'm seeing a lot of travel nurses come to us

5:17because again, they saw what traveling was in COVID.

5:20Now, unfortunately, it's not the same pay as COVID.

5:23So now these people who were making 100, 152

5:27or more than 200 doing travel assignments,

5:30they're now barely making 100, making 110, 120

5:33like for the same work.

5:34And so then they're like, man,

5:36and that's only if I'm working OTE,

5:37doing picking up extra shifts, right?

5:40So we're starting to see a bigger shift of that

5:42because people are like, I'm sick and tired of working more.

5:44But the one thing I wanna say for you, Nikolina,

5:47is like you continue to show like why it's possible

5:51is a lot of the nurses we get,

5:53it's not even so much that they're quote unquote

5:54burnt out for the job.

5:56Like you guys are great nurses, you're great people,

5:59but you saying like, hey, I got my masters.

6:01I knew I wanted to teach.

6:02You always knew there was something more that you could do.

6:05And I think that's the biggest thing

6:06that I see with a lot of our nurses is

6:09it's not so much that they hate their job

6:11and all the stuff, they still like it,

6:13but they just know that like,

6:15there's only 24 hours in a day,

6:16the year's gonna go by either way,

6:18their life's gonna go by either way.

6:19And like a lot of times they're like,

6:21I see a retirement party of 45 years, the same person,

6:24they made the same money for 40 years.

6:26I don't want that.

6:27I know I can go make more, change lives,

6:29have a bigger impact and work less.

6:31And I see that.

6:32So I just wanna just put that out for you

6:33'cause I saw that in you.

6:35And I remember our conversations of you being able to say,

6:37hey, I know there's more for me.

6:39And now you're able to sit here and accomplish

6:41that there's more for you.

6:42- You know, Jacob, I remember being a new grad nurse

6:45and being like working on the same floor

6:47'cause I was a tech for like two years

6:48before I became a nurse on that same floor.

6:50And I was working with nurses that have been doing

6:52the same floor for 30, 40 years.

6:54And I remember telling myself, I'm like, I cannot do this.

6:58Like I love my patients.

6:59I love taking care of people.

7:00It's always been in me.

7:01Like I just love helping people.

7:04And when I saw them,

7:05like there has to be something more out there.

7:07Like there has to be something that I can like,

7:09and with medical advice, like you're using a product

7:12and you're helping surgeons like make a difference

7:13on a broad spectrum.

7:14And that is more like appealing to me than sitting 12 hours,

7:20well, not sitting working 12 hours

7:22and taking care of these patients.

7:24And then the next day it's like,

7:25I don't even hear from them like how they're doing.

7:27Like it's just like in and out type of thing.

7:30And this way I know like I'm making a huge difference

7:33on like thousands of patients.

7:35- Yeah, it's huge.

7:36And just so you know, that's the number one thing

7:38I just had to talk with another nurse yesterday.

7:40And that's the biggest thing is what like you said,

7:42it's very transactional when you're a nurse, right?

7:45Here, let me help you.

7:45A lot of times that people yell at you,

7:47throw stuff at you, almost punch you or all that stuff.

7:50You have a lot of times doctors don't even listen to you

7:52or won't take orders or you just get treated

7:54not very nicely.

7:56So you just feel like you're not doing it.

7:57And then you're like affecting the six, 12, 20 patients,

8:00whatever you have that night.

8:02And like you said, you might not even know about them

8:04the next day compared to when you're a med device sales,

8:08right?

8:08You're doing surgeries, you're in it.

8:09Not only is your product and your company helping thousands

8:13but you physically are the person training doctors,

8:15you're helping doctors.

8:17And you might have 15, 20 doctors doing surgeries

8:20with your product because you gave them value

8:23to now go make those difference in those patients.

8:24And it makes such a big difference.

8:27So I love that.

8:27And then also one thing I wanted to say is urology.

8:30I love this for you is like for the fact of like most people,

8:33will think urology, I was in GYN,

8:35they think urology, GYN and they're like,

8:37"I don't know, I don't know if I could be in that world."

8:39All this stuff.

8:40The one thing I'll sit here and tell you

8:42from experience and to everybody I talked to,

8:44the best surgeons to work with are GYNs and urologists.

8:48And here's why.

8:50They have a sense of humor, most of them.

8:52Because when you are working with those parts,

8:54you have to have some sense of humor that comes into it.

8:57And like usually they're pretty friendly.

8:59Also normally a lot of stuff scheduled,

9:01you're not getting on calls, like all the stuff.

9:03So it's a great division, it's a great thing.

9:05But I love that you were like,

9:06"Hey, this was my experience."

9:08Instead of being like,

9:08"I have to go do all these different things."

9:09You're like, "Hey, I'm gonna go find something

9:11that I already know I enjoy."

9:13And then because of you being in that

9:16and working in it previously,

9:17you got to find a company that you were like,

9:19"I align with this.

9:20I see the mission.

9:21I actually solve this problem.

9:22I know what kind of problem this is.

9:24And I would love to be able to help solve that.

9:25And I would love for you to kind of speak on that.

9:27Because again, you could have gone anywhere

9:28in med device sales,

9:30but you found your company in urology

9:32that's like, "Hey, let's go make a difference."

9:34Because you had experience in it.

9:35- Absolutely.

9:36So when I was looking,

9:37I'm working at the outpatient surgery center,

9:38I was a urology surgery center.

9:40We did some pain interventions too,

9:41'cause there was an anesthesiologist

9:43that worked on the other side,

9:44but mostly it was urology.

9:46And I just remember,

9:47so we would have patients coming in

9:48with kidney stones all the time.

9:50Like that was majority of what we did.

9:53And these patients would be like,

9:55I would have female patients that would tell me,

9:56like I would give birth 10 times

9:59just so I don't have to have a kidney stone

10:00ever in my life again.

10:01Like it's that painful.

10:03And like the doctors would come back

10:05and at that time they'd be like,

10:06"Hey, we got most of it,

10:07"but like we had to put a stent in,

10:08"like you'll have to pee the rest out."

10:10And like these patients are already coming in like scared,

10:13like dreading coming in,

10:14like your NPO for hours at a time,

10:17like they were at the emergency room the day before.

10:19So for them to get the news like,

10:21"Hey, we were able to do like a good amount,

10:23"but you're still gonna have to pass the rest."

10:25They were always never satisfied.

10:27And when I was doing my research

10:28and I came upon Calyxso,

10:30I saw that they invented this product.

10:32Like they had a generation one

10:33and now this is the generation two

10:35that's getting rid of like 97% of the stone.

10:38And we've had cases getting rid of 100% of the stone.

10:41So this was just incredible to me.

10:43And I'm like, "Oh my gosh,

10:44"like this is probably changing so many freaking lives."

10:48So that's when I started like,

10:50doing my network, doing my research,

10:52figuring out like, how is this possible?

10:55Like what are they doing?

10:57And then I learned so much about the product

10:58and it's so interesting.

11:00They like gave me a little demo kit to take home.

11:02And I'm like, "Oh my gosh, it's just like so fascinating

11:04"how much goes into this."

11:07But yeah, and it's just been crazy to see like the difference

11:10on these patients' like faces,

11:11like how like fascinated they are.

11:14- Yeah.

11:14- And we get to be a part of it.

11:16Like, and they have no idea.

11:18- Yeah, no, exactly.

11:19- Yeah, we play a huge role in it.

11:21So it's awesome.

11:22- Yeah. And so with that said though,

11:24is like one thing I wanna just touch base

11:26because hopefully this can,

11:27it's always to provide those helpful tips

11:29to especially nurses,

11:30'cause that's a lot who are gonna really resonate with you

11:32is, you know, for you,

11:34what do you feel like was the biggest reason

11:37for you being like, "Hey, I think I can do something more."

11:41And like maybe nursing, I still love it.

11:43I still like it, but maybe there's something more for me.

11:46I talked to reps and all that.

11:47What was the real moment of being like,

11:49"Hey, I'm gonna get on a call with Jacob.

11:51"I need to learn more about med device sales."

11:53Like all this stuff.

11:54What was that kind of moment for you?

11:56Because again, we get people who,

11:57they're considering it after two years, three years,

11:59but we get people eight years, 10 years, 12 years,

12:01but they don't know how to pull the trigger.

12:03They don't know if they wanna pull the trigger.

12:04You went through the exact same process.

12:06What was that kind of like for you?

12:07- Just kind of to give you a backstory,

12:09like I've always like, I come from immigrant families.

12:12Like my parents are both immigrants.

12:13I'm a first generation American.

12:15So like for them, they've always been like,

12:17"Why are you not happy with what you have?

12:19"Like we came from nothing.

12:20"Like you should pretty much settle as a nurse."

12:22And for me, like I always knew

12:24there was so much potential.

12:25Like I'm driven.

12:27I'm hungry.

12:28Like I feel like I can provide so much more to this world

12:30than just working as a bedside nurse for 12 hours straight.

12:34Like I just knew that like I'm always,

12:36I always like saying this to other people too.

12:38Like always be a student.

12:40Like always learn, like always be open-minded.

12:42Like you never know what you can learn from somebody

12:44and take it to the next person.

12:46So for me, I just like, I sat down with my family.

12:49I'm like, "I need to do something more."

12:52Like there needs to be something out there.

12:54And like, you know, at first you don't get a lot of support

12:56'cause they're just like, "Come on, like,

12:59"be happy with what you have.

13:00"Like don't be greedy."

13:01And it's like, it's not about the money at some points.

13:03It's about like, you know, providing more and being more

13:06and making a difference.

13:07And it's just like so satisfying.

13:09Like this, I've only been like doing this for like two weeks

13:12now and I'm just like so satisfied with how things are going.

13:15And there's just so much more to look forward to.

13:17- Yeah, well, this is the thing.

13:18You're excited about it.

13:19You see the opportunity.

13:20There's so much to learn.

13:21You're seeing the actual impact you're having

13:23and the value that you're providing.

13:25And then there are all the other opportunities

13:26that can come from this, right?

13:28Because that's what I want everybody to talk to.

13:30And again, I always just say this.

13:31I've said it on my program a million times, you know,

13:33the difference between rich people and poor people.

13:35And I always go into it.

13:35People can get offended and all this stuff,

13:37but you're talking to the guy who had 66 bucks to his name.

13:39So I was poor as poor, put pen and butter back.

13:41So I've been in the both ends.

13:42I've had the American dream of living the,

13:44getting commission checks and med device sales.

13:45I've done it.

13:46I just want to always provide value to nurses

13:48and other human beings that are listening to it.

13:49It's always this.

13:51The difference between rich people and poor people,

13:52poor people will never spend $1,000

13:54because it's too much money.

13:55Rich people will always pay $10,000

13:56if they can make $10,000.

13:58Rich people say how much rich, sorry,

14:00poor people say how much rich people say, what's my return?

14:04And then a poor person thinks emotionally,

14:06it never works.

14:07I won't do it.

14:08What if I lose my money?

14:09What if logical person asks three logical questions?

14:12Do I believe it does what it says it does?

14:13Do I believe I'll do the work

14:14and do I believe I'll get my return on investment?

14:16If I can answer those three things,

14:18I know everything else is going to be emotional.

14:20It doesn't matter.

14:21Logical, I know it works.

14:23The reason I'm telling you that, my friends,

14:24what people will never understand

14:26is how much money you make, two things.

14:29A is a direct association with the value you're bringing.

14:34Well, why does someone in cardiac

14:37get to make more money than somebody possibly in GYN,

14:40for example?

14:41Well, your uterus can hurt and you can still be alive,

14:44but your heart stops working, you're dead.

14:46There's some value to be brought there.

14:48Just so you guys can have an idea

14:50of how that works, but then also your mindset

14:53is the associated to how much money you will make.

14:55And that's one of the biggest things I continue

14:57to help our program and people learn

14:58is most human beings who come and work with me

15:00make under $100,000.

15:02And you know I can relate with that?

15:03I used to make way under $100,000.

15:06And then I got the point where I made a couple $100,000.

15:09And then I made more than that and made more with that.

15:12But what happened is the thing that we continue to teach

15:14and Nikolina's already doing it,

15:16you've probably seen in the last two or three weeks

15:18the person you're supposed to become.

15:20So you can try to go make $150,000, $200,000

15:22in the division that you're currently in,

15:24compared to when you were a nurse working bedside

15:25making $60,000 to $80,000, right?

15:28- Yeah.

15:28- Yeah, because what people don't understand is

15:33how can I have conversations?

15:34How can I do this?

15:34Because I've lived it.

15:35But the only difference that I've learned

15:37working with millionaires, being in Scottsdale

15:39when I was a personal trainer and doing it,

15:41the only difference, it's not that they're smarter than you.

15:43It's not that they have more talents necessarily.

15:46It's that they had to become a certain person

15:48and handle certain situations and step into it

15:51and also have the mindset to believe it's possible.

15:55Because you have to first believe that you can make

15:57a hundred grand, 200 grand, 300 grand,

15:58but then you have to become a person to actually make that.

16:02Because the most common thing I believed when I was 23,

16:0524, 26, someone just gave me a million dollars.

16:09I know exactly what to do.

16:10I'd be amazing and I can sit here and tell you

16:12we could give you $300,000 and you'd spend it.

16:14You don't know what to do it.

16:15You would lose all the money.

16:16You don't know how to invest in it.

16:17And even worse, you don't know how to make it again.

16:20And that's why you see people who go bankrupt,

16:22lose it all, all the stuff, two, three, four years later,

16:25have that much more and or make it all back plus more.

16:29Because it's the skills and the person you have to become

16:31to do that.

16:33And that's what I want everyone to hear

16:34because what Nikolina is talking about is

16:37when you make a change in your life,

16:39like my family never made more than $70,000, any of them.

16:43So when I'm telling them I'm going to a division

16:45that's going to make over $150,000, $200,000, $300,000,

16:48it's fake, it's scam, I'm greedy.

16:50People who make money are bad people.

16:52Greedy people are not happy.

16:54Money can't buy you happiness.

16:55All the poor terms you're going to hear

16:57from people who don't make it.

16:59And let me just sit here and tell you,

17:00people who say that, it's because they don't have it

17:02and they don't know how.

17:03Because if you know how you want to say money's bad,

17:06because guess what money does?

17:08Funds, cancer research, funds, a bunch of nonprofits,

17:11funds, great things.

17:13But money can also be used for bad things, right?

17:15It has nothing to do with the money, it's the value of it.

17:17So I just wanted to do that to do a little reframe

17:19for everybody because Nicoline,

17:20like that's why I'm so proud of you,

17:22is even though you didn't have all the support,

17:24you knew for you, you didn't want to stay somewhere,

17:28and it has literally, the reason you're going to make

17:30a lot of money is because it's not even

17:33about the money for you.

17:34It's just going to be the growth that you want.

17:36You're excited, like you said, the opportunities

17:38and even more the skills that you're going to learn

17:40to go be able to provide value.

17:42And because you learned all those things,

17:44it's going to come with you making more money

17:47because you have more skills, you offer more value,

17:49you do stuff that's going to make a difference

17:51in people's lives, which you're also in an industry

17:54that pays very well to do, right?

17:57- Absolutely.

17:58- That's what I just want to hit on,

17:59and maybe you can talk to a little bit

18:01because that's what most people will never think of,

18:02and especially nurses making under a hundred grand,

18:06that's not a shot to you.

18:06I'm not saying you're not worth it, I'm not saying that,

18:08but it does take a certain person

18:09to make over a couple hundred thousand dollars.

18:11- And you definitely, I feel like I want to add on that too,

18:15is like I had to take a step back from like,

18:17you know, living in Arizona, I learned a lot about myself

18:20'cause I was away from family and friends.

18:21I just wanted to figure out like what I wanted to do

18:24for the rest of my life.

18:26Sometimes I don't know if this is a problem

18:27with a lot of other people, but with me,

18:28it's like coming back home to a familiar place,

18:30like you're always being pulled in 10 million directions,

18:33and like joining this course

18:35and like trying to figure out what I want to do for my life,

18:37I definitely had to put some barriers

18:39in between a couple of things, like, you know,

18:41put my phone on, do not disturb for a couple hours,

18:42go to the library, go learn, go like educate myself,

18:45like, 'cause no one at the end of the day

18:47is gonna be able to push you, you gotta push yourself.

18:49So you have to be driven, you have to be hungry,

18:51if you want it, you gotta go get it.

18:53No one's gonna be giving you a silver spoon

18:55and being like, "Hey, like, is that easy?"

18:58You know, so you definitely gotta put in the work,

19:00but if you're motivated, that shouldn't be a problem at all.

19:03- 100%, and that's one of the things

19:04that I just want to mention real quick

19:05is what we really help with is that as you're seeing it,

19:07you're not gonna get a lot of support from outsiders

19:09'cause they won't understand it.

19:10And I always say, "Nobody understands your dreams,

19:12"it's your dream."

19:12Like, they don't, and they don't need to understand it, right?

19:15It's your dream, but like you said,

19:18what people don't understand is why I always tell people,

19:20like, I did the same thing.

19:21I left and I remember leaving Iowa, going to California,

19:24doing an internship for three months, I hated it.

19:26And I was like, "Oh my gosh, can't wait to go back to Iowa."

19:28And then the more depressing part was I went back

19:30after experiencing California and living on my own

19:32for three months, I went back home and I hated that.

19:35And I was like, "I'm stuck, I'm not gonna change.

19:37"I'm gonna be around all my same friends

19:38"who are just gonna be still drinking beer

19:40"and hanging out in their Morton farm buildings

19:42"and talking about the football game, that doesn't matter."

19:45And I was like, "And they're gonna just gain weight

19:47"and I'm gonna be here 30 years from now

19:48"and nothing's changed."

19:49I don't want that, and that's what made me leave.

19:51And so I always tell people, to young people,

19:53if you're under the age of 25, under the age of 30,

19:56and you are single and you are at home

19:58and all this stuff for the love of God,

19:59please just leave for a little bit.

20:01Go take a trip, go do stuff, because you can always go back.

20:04But you will learn more about who you are

20:06and the biggest thing that we help our people learn,

20:08especially in our program,

20:09do you believe what you believe because you believe it

20:11or do you believe what you believe

20:13because other people, AKA mom, dad, grandma,

20:15and all the other people told you to believe it

20:17and that's how you were grown up?

20:18Because a lot of times, if that is,

20:20then your only reality is what your family knows.

20:22And if your family's not wealthy or doing all the stuff,

20:24it's gonna be really hard to depour yourself to do that.

20:26And so it's breaking down that.

20:28But like you also said, barriers,

20:30because what I watch a lot of people do,

20:32you go home, now it's expected you do a bunch of stuff,

20:35and then what people do also is 'cause they're comfortable

20:37is then now they self-sabotage, right?

20:41The one thing that I'll sit here and tell you

20:42is that's one of the biggest things we work

20:44with human beings on,

20:44and it has nothing to even do with med device sales.

20:46You wanna make 100 grand, 200 grand plus?

20:49You gotta stop self-sabotaging.

20:50What does that mean?

20:51Get out of relationships that bring you toxic.

20:53Bring out, get out of relationships that are always drama,

20:55that you're always having that friend who's like,

20:57"Oh my God, this person's doing this."

20:59And now you can never talk about actual productive stuff.

21:01Get away from people who tear you down

21:03and tell you your ideas are dumb.

21:05Get away from the people that don't believe in you.

21:07Like it sounds so silly,

21:09but I'll sit here and tell you my life expedited went up.

21:12The amount of money I went up, the happiness, the peace,

21:14the, like everything went up when I started doing it.

21:17And what people will never understand is usually

21:19it's with your extreme family,

21:20with your close family that you have to start with

21:23and just put boundaries in there.

21:24So I love that you said that.

21:26Again, guys, you may not think this is about med device sales.

21:29First off, we try to help you guys

21:30way outside of med device sales.

21:31But just so you know anything you do in your life,

21:33it's gonna carry over into what you do.

21:35Now getting back into medical device sales

21:37and for the nurses that are interested in med device sales.

21:39One of the things I always love

21:40as we talked about this off air

21:42is how your background's gonna carry over

21:44because you can understand how a nurse feels.

21:46You can understand with people you work.

21:48You've been in for a couple of weeks now

21:50and you're drinking from the fire hose and having all the fun

21:52and you're already seeing all the good stuff of it.

21:54And you're also seeing how easy it is to win

21:56if you actually are driven, hungry, curious,

21:59and you wanna just keep getting better, right?

22:01'Cause there's people you can meet

22:02that have been in for years

22:03and you're like, I know more than you

22:05and it's been two weeks.

22:06The reason I'm just sitting here saying that is,

22:08what do you feel has been some of the big things

22:11from nursing, your nursing background

22:13that has kind of carried over A to the interview process

22:15of where you went into and then also

22:17just being in medical device sales.

22:18Where do you feel like some of those skills

22:20that you learned in nursing carried over there?

22:22- So I definitely think as nurses,

22:24and I'm speaking for a majority of them

22:26just 'cause you have to kind of be this type of person

22:27to be in nursing is having compassion

22:29and like emotional intelligence.

22:31So like understand when you're like talking to some people,

22:34you're reading them to seeing how they're reacting back.

22:36So if they're super stressed,

22:38they might be coming off a little bit bold.

22:40If they're super involved in conversation

22:41like you and me right now,

22:42they're super enthusiastic, you could kind of read the room.

22:44So I feel like that definitely carried on

22:46'cause like going into the operating room,

22:49it's not always the best scenarios

22:50and people could be stressed.

22:52Then that goes from the surgeon to the surgical tech

22:54to the nurse in the room.

22:56So you definitely need to be able to know when it's okay

22:58to talk and when it's okay to mention some things.

23:01Of course, for the patient,

23:02like you have to speak up if you see something wrong,

23:05but I'm saying just like in terms of like saying some

23:08inappropriate things at the wrong times.

23:10So I feel like that definitely like

23:11when I was interacting with my patients,

23:13I was able to read the situation

23:14and kind of guide them in a direction.

23:16Sometimes people just want you to listen.

23:18So yeah, that's one thing that I really took forward.

23:22And like also like just critical thinking skills,

23:24like just like prioritizing and understand like,

23:27what do I need to do first?

23:28Like what's the most important

23:29and what can I save for the very last?

23:31- Just so you know,

23:32welcome to why you're gonna make so much money.

23:34- The reason I say that to everybody who's like,

23:36what was Jacob keep you saying that is because you know,

23:38I work with a lot of human beings.

23:39You know what most people don't have critical thinking.

23:41They literally, everybody wants stuff spoon fed to them.

23:44That's why our nurses, our PTs, our OTs,

23:47the clinical side of it normally,

23:50or even people with some previous sales experience,

23:52you have to think on your feet,

23:53especially in this like as a nurse,

23:55you have to think on your feet.

23:55You have somebody screaming,

23:56you have something that coding, whatever it is,

23:58you got to think on your feet and you need to go and act.

24:01And also like you said,

24:02you need to be able to read the room and be like,

24:03Hey, is this person really doing this?

24:05Are they just mad?

24:06Are they angry?

24:07But then what, when you have five patients

24:10and they're all having problems,

24:12who absolutely needs it right now

24:14and who could wait a couple minutes?

24:16Wait a couple hours, right?

24:17Like, it's so true,

24:17'cause that's all med device sales is.

24:19You walk in, you're gonna have things

24:20that come into your plate and you got to prioritize,

24:23what do I need to do right now

24:24and what do I need to do in the next several hours,

24:28days this week, right?

24:30And so that's why I'm just saying you saying that,

24:32go such a far away and you nurses,

24:35that's some of your selling points

24:37that again, going back to,

24:38oh, I don't have the right background, right?

24:40You personally beat out someone with,

24:42what I'm quote, more experience, right?

24:45That's why we say,

24:45literally the post I put out today was,

24:47don't worry about your competition,

24:48your only competition is you

24:50because you came in, you crushed it,

24:52you gave them a business plan,

24:53you showed them all the time,

24:54they're like, oh my gosh,

24:55we want to take a shot on you, you're amazing.

24:57Because you focused on you because

25:00you and I both know,

25:00you got a lot of value to bring to people,

25:02your background,

25:03you can be able to talk with people,

25:04you're hungry, you're eagerness, all that stuff.

25:07I just want people to hear that

25:08when Nickelodeon is talking about

25:09being able to come and make a difference.

25:11Now, what I really want to talk to

25:13is going back to, hey, no experience.

25:15What was it like for you to go through the interview process

25:18as a nurse with no sales experience?

25:21- So I feel like that's when I really relied

25:25on my clinical expertise to really sell them on it

25:28and just giving them scenarios.

25:30You have to be ready to talk about examples.

25:33Otherwise, if I just say I'm compassionate and nice,

25:35hardworking, that doesn't prove to them anything.

25:38I think anybody can say that.

25:39But giving them examples,

25:40I feel like in my clinical field,

25:42like teamwork, two questions that they asked me

25:44was tell me a really good time where teamwork went well

25:47and tell me a bad time when teamwork went terrible.

25:51And I was able to provide those examples

25:52in this regional sales manager, she loved it.

25:55She's like, oh my gosh,

25:56yeah, that's a perfect example

25:57'cause that's what we go through too.

25:58You do black out at some point

26:00and I've heard this from Roxy and Jennifer.

26:02So like during the interview,

26:04you definitely like, I highly suggest like,

26:06bringing a little notepad just to take notes

26:08'cause I look back sometimes and I'm like, oh my gosh,

26:10like I blacked out for quite maybe 20, 30 seconds.

26:13I didn't know what was going on.

26:15But I feel like, you know,

26:16you definitely have to sell yourself

26:17and make sure that like you're able to be molded.

26:21You're, you know, you wanna be, you're coachable.

26:23You're, you wanna be a student and then they like that.

26:25They wanna make sure that like,

26:27you're not gonna be difficult to work with

26:28and that it'll be pretty easy to train you pretty much.

26:31- Yeah. And that's what, just so you guys know that,

26:33first off, that's great advice.

26:34And number two is it's, the big thing is,

26:38they just want people who are moldable.

26:40Like I just talked to Nickalina about this off air.

26:42It's like, I can tell you as someone who hires employees

26:44and I can tell you who gets people hired with employees

26:46and I can tell you to someone who works with CEOs

26:49and talks with hiring managers all the time.

26:52And the number one thing we always laugh about

26:53is most people lie about what they have on their resume

26:56and what they say they can do.

26:57It is absolutely hysterical.

26:59And the reason I'm sitting here telling you is

27:01that's why we are teaching all the big things of,

27:04are you a hard worker?

27:05Are you self motivated?

27:07Can you think, can you critically think?

27:09Like you're saying, can you just show up on time

27:11or before time?

27:12Like even for today's podcast, you were on early.

27:15Like it's just the little things that add up

27:17that most people don't do.

27:19Because we live in a culture now, if we say eight

27:21and they show up at 804, they're like, it's still eight.

27:24It was four minutes, like what's the problem?

27:26And the problem is if you're showing up four minutes late,

27:30that shows that you don't take everything else

27:32in your life serious and that you're gonna show up

27:34to a surgery and forget something

27:36'cause it's not a big deal, it's just a seal, right?

27:40And that's the problem with people don't understand.

27:42It's somebody's life that's on that table.

27:45And that's what they're looking for.

27:46And they just need someone who's hungry that can show them.

27:49But I can sit here and tell you as somebody

27:51who gets these people hired all the time

27:52and who talks to a lot of the people,

27:54AKA a lot of you guys who call me,

27:56it's like none of them come prepared.

27:57None of them know up from down.

27:58And then they're like, oh, I want this.

28:00And we live in a world that's very entitled

28:02that just because you want it

28:03and you wanna make $100,000

28:05and just because you wanted to post on social

28:07or whatever it is, you should just have what you want.

28:09And let me just tell you, you don't get that in this world.

28:12The world gives you what you get.

28:13And the world gives you who you are, right?

28:15And so you want to become better, you wanna make more,

28:18you have to become that person to do that.

28:20And that's one of the things I talk about.

28:22And maybe you can just kind of talk about this,

28:23Nikolina is like, our program is more moldable

28:26of like molding you into people that you need to become

28:29to not only break in, but also to be successful

28:32in the industry.

28:33'Cause I would just love to hear some of your thoughts.

28:35It's fun for me to hear.

28:36What's some of the biggest things you learned from,

28:38again, us having that call, you're scared.

28:40I'm like, hey, trust me, I know it's gonna work out.

28:42Now you're in, but like, what'd you learn

28:43through that process of being inside the program?

28:45- Definitely didn't know, like had I tried

28:48to get into medical device on my own,

28:50there's so much useful information you guys put.

28:53Like Raxi calls them like golden nuggets.

28:55Like there's so much good stuff that you guys talk about

28:58that I never would have thought of.

29:00And it could just be like from my background,

29:02like doing nursing like interviews,

29:04like I never had to go through any of that.

29:05So like you guys give so much useful information.

29:08And like what's nice is that you guys schedule

29:10like calls like almost every day.

29:12So if you can't make it on Monday,

29:13try to do Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, like pick a day.

29:16Like I said, put barriers down, like make time for it.

29:19If you have a birthday at five and calls at 530,

29:21like go late to the party, like make that sacrifice.

29:25Cause the longer you take to keep pushing everything back,

29:28the longer it'll take.

29:29And you're just going to lose motivation and momentum.

29:32So you really got to stay on top of it.

29:33And that's what motivated me.

29:34And like being involved in the like conversations,

29:37like, you know, you get on call,

29:39sometimes you're a little nervous, you know,

29:40you've never met these people,

29:41like everyone has their own stories,

29:43but like you guys make it so easy to be like so open

29:46and talk about anything and everything that like,

29:49take the opportunity to ask questions.

29:51Like this is your time.

29:53So it's useful for everybody too.

29:55You know, they might hear a question that they're like,

29:57oh, that's a good point.

29:57Like I never even thought about that.

29:59It's really, it was fun.

30:01I had a great time.

30:02Honestly, I met so many cool people like online

30:04with you guys.

30:05So yeah, it's been an experience.

30:07- It's the best.

30:08And honestly, I appreciate you saying that.

30:09It's just for me, it's like, that's why we do it.

30:11It's like, you're just going to meet other great people.

30:12They're all getting in the industry.

30:13You guys are going through the struggles together.

30:15Like it's easier to be with somebody else.

30:17And like, I always think about landscaping.

30:19We would all hate it, but we were in the suck together.

30:23Right?

30:23So then you like became best friends with them.

30:25And you're like, oh, this sucks.

30:25You know, you got to go pick up rocks or like, dang it.

30:28Right?

30:28But you had your friends.

30:29So it was fun.

30:30But the reason I'm just saying that is not,

30:31it's not like that's the whole time in med device.

30:33So it's breaking in, but it's making sure you guys are seen.

30:37We can answer your questions.

30:38Cause there's like that.

30:38There's things you're not going to know about.

30:40But the one thing I want to just touch on is

30:41cause I smile and I think about it is

30:43that's one of the biggest things I think I watched with you

30:45and you continue to do it.

30:47And that's why I know you're going to be a great rep.

30:49But the biggest concern you had was like,

30:51is right now the right time, maybe in a couple of weeks

30:54and all the stuff.

30:55And then now when you're in the course,

30:56you're like, stop, block it off, be there, do it.

31:00Don't be square.

31:01Right?

31:01Like make it happen.

31:02Because again, it's what we talked about.

31:04And it's what we talked about on our call is the difference

31:06between successful people and not successful people

31:09as successful people as our doers and they just get it done.

31:11And they know that it's never the right time.

31:14There is never going to not be something that comes up.

31:18But the difference is the doers and the successful people

31:21are going to just get it done and figure out a way

31:23besides the unsuccessful aren't.

31:25Because they always say this and it is true to my life.

31:27Like, you know, they always say,

31:28you need something done, give it to a busy person.

31:30I will find a way I'll get it done even like today.

31:32I have three calls, I don't have time for it.

31:34I'm going to find a way to get them done at some point.

31:37The reason I'm saying that is that's what people need to hear.

31:40And that's what you did.

31:41And it's fun to like when we are on our first call

31:43and you're like, I don't know, maybe a couple more weeks,

31:44all the stuff too, then you're like,

31:46show up to the birthday party, like God's sake,

31:48like it's going to pay off.

31:49And that's one thing.

31:52I think you did such a great job.

31:53And I know we talked about this a little off air

31:55when I called you was like, just understanding

31:57this isn't forever.

31:58Like the program, the sacrifices, everything you're doing,

32:02it's not like you're doing this for the rest of your life.

32:05It's like, hey, can you sacrifice a couple of weeks,

32:07a couple of months to change your life forever?

32:12And I think that's the real big thing

32:14that I want everybody to always think about.

32:16And that's something, Nickalina, you've done a great job.

32:18And it's why you're going to continue to crush it

32:20is because you're learning and you've

32:21done a really great job and you're already doing it.

32:24How can I delay gratification, maybe for a little bit,

32:27but go through some pressure times to then go more?

32:31Because exactly what you're doing in your current role,

32:33you're going to be in your role for the next six, 12 months,

32:36do the exact same things, suck it up, learn all this stuff,

32:38do all this stuff, to eventually get promoted

32:41and make more money.

32:42But that's what people don't think about that.

32:43They see everybody else and they'll

32:45see our people coming as full line reps or what then.

32:47I just want that.

32:47And I'm like, you haven't done all the sacrifices

32:50and all the work and everything else.

32:52It's like they say, every success story you had,

32:55like for example, business, they're always like,

32:57every successful business you heard that happened overnight,

32:59there was eight years you didn't know about them grinding

33:02every day.

33:04And that's just the truth.

33:05Like every person who's a breakout star in athletics

33:10was grinding for the last 10 years doing drills in the dark gym

33:14that nobody knew about.

33:16And so that's what I just want people to take away.

33:19But what's your biggest advice?

33:20Whether people don't have sales experience

33:22or they do have sales experience,

33:23especially like my nurses, that's who you'll

33:25be able to talk to.

33:26What's your advice to those people

33:28trying to break into medical device sales?

33:29Now that you've started, you're like,

33:31I don't know if this is for me.

33:33OK, I'm making the jump.

33:34You made the jump.

33:35And now you're in it.

33:36What's your advice to them?

33:37My biggest advice would be that if you're in the same position

33:41that I was and you didn't see yourself moving forward,

33:43because there's only so much you can do in a hospital field,

33:46management in that case, clinical education,

33:49if you really want to make a difference on a broad spectrum

33:52and work hand in hand with a surgeon to make differences,

33:56this is your opportunity.

33:58This is a great field to be in.

33:59I haven't stopped smiling since I got the offer letter.

34:01And that was like three, four weeks ago.

34:03So it's just such an exciting step.

34:06And it's only looking forward from here.

34:08And I was talking to you offline about this,

34:10but I'm keeping my foot on the gas pedal

34:13and just keeping this momentum going.

34:15And there's no way--

34:17you just are learning so much constantly.

34:20There's just so much--

34:21if it's not from surgeons, it's from surgical texts.

34:23Other nurses, other reps, you're just

34:25constantly surrounding yourself around people

34:28that are trying to be successful and see you win as well.

34:32Couldn't be always the case, but majority of the case, yes.

34:36I've met so many great people from different medical device

34:39companies that are just rooting for me.

34:41And I'm rooting for them.

34:41And it's just been such--

34:42it's like a whole different world that you're entering.

34:46So it's truly exciting.

34:47And I am looking forward to what's

34:50going to look like in five, 10 years from now.

34:52Oh, first off, it's going to be absolutely crazy for you.

34:54Because again, you have that growth mindset.

34:56But I do want to just hit on what you just said there.

34:58It's like, just understand why people in other med device

35:01companies, why Jacob will be excited and pumped

35:04when you get in at Six Figures and know

35:06you're going to make more, is because you get around

35:08other people who don't have the pull you down mindset.

35:11They have the pick you up and lift you up.

35:13Because they know if you make money,

35:15it doesn't affect them at all not making any money.

35:18The reason I'm sitting here saying that is, for example,

35:21you watch the doctor pull up in a Porsche,

35:23the surgeon pull up in a Porsche, or a Lambo.

35:26Again, and not all of them do.

35:27I'm just speculating.

35:28I'm in Scottsdale, so most of them pull up in a Porsche.

35:31They're not looking at this rep saying, screw this rep.

35:34They're in my OR right now, and they make this much money.

35:37They don't care.

35:38They're making their own money doing their own product

35:41and doing their own service.

35:43And so the reason I'm just saying that is, you get around

35:45other like-minded people and salespeople.

35:48The one thing I'll sit here and tell you, yes,

35:50there is a piece of us that is generated or motivated by money.

35:54Guess what?

35:55Makes the world go around.

35:56You have to have it.

35:56You want a nice thing.

35:57You have to have money.

35:58That doesn't make us evil.

35:59It doesn't make you horrible.

36:00It's not making you a used car salesman.

36:02Because a used car salesman sells you stuff you don't need.

36:05Reps are selling stuff to a product that's actually changing

36:08people's lives and not having them go through pain and whatever.

36:11And so the reason I'm just sitting here telling you that is,

36:13that's the number one thing I see from my nurses is,

36:16there's so much fear of getting out.

36:18Because, just being honest, a lot of times,

36:20my mom's a nurse.

36:21So I'm going to just put that out there.

36:22My mom is a nurse, so I can say it.

36:24But a lot of times in the nurse world,

36:25it is a very toxic place.

36:27It is a pull you down, beat you up.

36:29You can't do it.

36:30If I can't do it, you make more money

36:32than an hour than me, screw you.

36:34And it's all tear you down.

36:35And it's all, if you're doing something better,

36:37that means I'm doing worse.

36:39I hate you.

36:40That's what I see on the everyday.

36:42Just so you know, that's not every profession.

36:44So I need to just put that out there.

36:46There are professions that pick you up.

36:48But this is the last thing I want everyone to hear.

36:50Because this is the talk I had with Nikolina.

36:51And I think it was one that really made it help.

36:54Was every single nurse I get on a call with is absolutely

36:57terrified.

36:58They are scared.

36:58They're like, oh my gosh, I can't do this.

37:00What all the things?

37:01And they play all the what ifs.

37:03But no nurse ever plays what if it all goes right.

37:06What if I'm like Nikolina and I get hired

37:08and I make more money and I'm going to work less

37:10and I don't have to do all the shifts.

37:12Nobody does that.

37:13But then let me make your life a little more easier.

37:15You are already living your worst case scenario.

37:18Because if you went and broke into medical device sales,

37:20you now just learned another skill.

37:22You learned about more products.

37:23You had different experiences.

37:25You make more money and you probably work less.

37:28But let's say you hate that.

37:29You hate every second of it.

37:32You know what I can guarantee you?

37:33You can go get another nursing contract or nursing job.

37:37Because if you have a heartbeat and a certification,

37:40they will take you.

37:41And yes, maybe it is not at the exact same unit

37:44and the exact same floor with the exact same people.

37:47I hear you there.

37:48But guess what?

37:48It's still the same exact thing that you're going to be doing.

37:51So the reason I'm just saying that is this is the mindset shift

37:53that we help people with.

37:54You are already living.

37:55If you're like Nikolina before this,

37:58she was already living the worst case scenario

38:00that she wanted to get out of.

38:02And all I had to be is like, what if we get you

38:04to the best case scenario?

38:05And you're like, I love that.

38:07And now here you are with a big smile on your face.

38:09It's been two weeks.

38:09You're like, it's the freaking best.

38:11And you're living the best case scenario.

38:12And you have other people going, Nikolina, yes, you can win.

38:15Yes, you can make more money.

38:16And guess what?

38:17If she makes $200,000, I'm going to be like, yes, you

38:20made $200,000.

38:21That's amazing.

38:22Not screw you.

38:24You just took money out of my business.

38:26Because guess what?

38:27I'm not even in your rawlogy.

38:28So it doesn't matter to me.

38:30And that's the difference that I want people to hear.

38:32Because that's what we do so much here.

38:34Is have you guys realized that and want you to win?

38:37Because everyone can win here.

38:38They print money for God's sake.

38:40They just say, we want more.

38:40They print it.

38:41It's everywhere.

38:42But you have to get yourself to a place.

38:44But get yourself out of environments.

38:46And if you're a nurse right now, feeling stuck,

38:48having people tear you down, feeling like you can't do

38:50anything, but you're meant for more, you're just burned out.

38:53You've done it for years.

38:55Just understand you're already living your worst case

38:57scenario.

38:58Because guess what?

38:59You can go do it.

39:00And if you don't like it, come back to it.

39:02And that's worst case.

39:03And you know, Jacob, I have to mention this,

39:05because this was a recent scenario that happened.

39:08I was going to pick up a case at the surgery center

39:10that I used to work at.

39:11And of course, I'm still close with all my nurse friends.

39:14And I ended up telling her, I'm like, hey,

39:15I'm going to be there tomorrow.

39:17Just didn't want you to be surprised if you see me.

39:19I got this new job.

39:20And she's like, oh, are you going

39:21to act like better than us now?

39:23Like, is that you're just going to act like you don't know me?

39:25And of course, there is that difference, especially

39:28leaving that nursing field, I will say.

39:31But kill them with kindness.

39:33Say hi to them.

39:34Still keep up to date with them.

39:36Don't act like a stranger just because you got this other role.

39:39And they really appreciated that.

39:41I mean, I still see them even to this day.

39:43I still see them.

39:43And they're always like, oh my god, what are you up to?

39:45What's going on?

39:45Just put a smile on your face.

39:47Kind of brush it off your shoulder.

39:49People will say stuff to you like that.

39:51But you're doing it for yourself.

39:52You're chasing your dreams.

39:53So they shouldn't be upset about that.

39:55Bam.

39:55And that's the thing that just needs to be hit.

39:57First off, they're always a resource to you.

39:58So it makes no sense to be rude to them

40:01because they're going to help you get doctors

40:02or they can actually self-sabotage you in.

40:03The surgery centers are hospital.

40:05So Selleguz says, don't do that.

40:07But number two, that's the concept.

40:10Just so you guys know, the reason

40:11is because there are a lot of reps who go in and they're

40:14like, you're just a nurse or you're just a scrub tech.

40:16They think they're better and they are rude.

40:18That's why I always sit here and tell you guys, be genuine.

40:22Actually care about a human being.

40:23You were a nurse.

40:24I was a personal trainer.

40:25Like if you just do that, you win.

40:26Kill them with kindness.

40:27Always just be the bigger person.

40:30But most reps, guess why?

40:31They have an ego.

40:32They're trying to prove something to somebody.

40:33They're trying to tell you how much money they make always

40:35and that that means that gives them worth

40:37because they don't love themselves enough to have worth.

40:39And that's a whole other story we ain't even getting into

40:41because that's a lot of work we don't have time to do.

40:43But I want you guys to hear that.

40:45Exactly what Nickalina said to end with is,

40:47they don't have to understand.

40:50Just so you guys know, every move that I've ever made,

40:54I've always got hate on.

40:56I've always had people tell me I'm dumb.

40:57I'm stupid.

40:58It must make no sense.

41:00What am I crazy?

41:02Moved out.

41:03Literally moved out.

41:04My family, one of my, my dad, for God's sake,

41:06I'll just be out there.

41:08My dad called me and told me I was dumb and so selfish

41:12to leave Iowa to come out to Arizona.

41:15And I don't say that great dude love him.

41:17But the reason I'm just sitting here telling you,

41:18he never made more than $50,000.

41:20And so as a 23 year old young hungry dude,

41:23it intimidated him to watch his own son go and try

41:25to chase a better life because he had made his whole life

41:28about me and wanted me to stay there.

41:30The reason I'm sitting here telling you that,

41:32that's close family.

41:33That's all the stuff.

41:33But you can't worry about what other people think

41:36because guess what?

41:37Because of the life I decided to choose,

41:40I'm now able to bless all of them.

41:42I'm able to bless other people.

41:43And that's what people miss.

41:45As you doing it, it just needs to be for you

41:48because at the end of the day, it doesn't even matter.

41:49Let me just say this.

41:50Let's say you want a million dollars.

41:52If you're doing it for the other people

41:53and you get the million dollars and they don't care,

41:56you're gonna feel pretty empty.

41:59That's why you always have to do stuff for just you

42:01and understand people are good at talk trash.

42:03I get it.

42:04Just so you guys know, we are on the internet.

42:06Some of you are gonna watch this and be like,

42:07this is the best podcast.

42:08And then I'm gonna have other comments and be like,

42:09you suck, you're the worst.

42:10Why don't you even do this?

42:11I hate you.

42:11Whatever it is.

42:13The reason I'm saying that,

42:13that's the internet number one, but number two,

42:15you just can't care about it.

42:17You have to focus on you.

42:19Go make your life.

42:20Because the thing I'm saying is why I tell you guys,

42:21you wanna make two, 300 grand on that device?

42:23So go do it.

42:24Because you'll talk to reps who've been in for 10 years

42:25and say, you can't, nope, those days are gone.

42:27And yet we have somebody who our people get to work with

42:30literally has been in an under two and a half years

42:32and she's doing way more than that.

42:34So it's possible.

42:36Just get around people who believe

42:37that it's possible for you.

42:39So, Nikolina, I just want you to know,

42:40I'm first off so dang proud of you,

42:42just seeing where you came from,

42:43to our first call to where you're at.

42:45It has been absolutely amazing.

42:47But just how proud I am and congratulations

42:49on breaking into medical device sales.

42:52- Thank you.

42:52I couldn't have done it without you guys.

42:53So thank you for that.

42:54- Well, I appreciate that.

42:55I just want you to know, I'm so proud of you

42:56and it's what makes my life,

42:58it's what makes my day is knowing that you just changed

43:00your life to now go and set up a better life for you

43:03and your family and go live the life that you want.

43:05The last thing I'll just leave it with is,

43:07is there anything, any advice to anybody,

43:09any encouragement that you wanna say to just end off with?

43:12- Don't be scared.

43:14Change is good.

43:15Being uncomfortable is good.

43:17So that's where you'll see improvement.

43:19That's where you'll see a difference.

43:21So.

43:21- Love it.

43:22Can't say it any better myself.

43:24It is what's important.

43:25So if you guys can press that like and subscribe button,

43:27a five star review really helps us grow this channel.

43:29If you can share this with a nurse or somebody

43:31in the clinical area that you feel like

43:33it could be helpful for, please do that.

43:34Or if it's just somebody, you feel this podcast could help,

43:37please send it to them, mean the world for me.

43:39If you guys would like, make sure to go check down

43:41this other video where we have other videos

43:42of people who are nurses breaking in

43:44that we're just like you,

43:45because we wanna just keep showing you it is possible.

43:47Why everyone else tells you it's not possible.

43:49And somehow we keep having people like Nickalina,

43:50come on here, do our stuff.

43:52And then she's like, oh my gosh, I'm here.

43:54This is what I did.

43:55It worked.

43:56And at some point you guys just have to do it for yourself.

43:58So I just want you all to know, always rooting for you.

44:01You can do it.

44:03Nickalina, thank you again for coming on here.

44:04Means the world.

44:05- You're having me.

44:06- And I wish everybody a happy holidays coming forward

44:10and just keep crushing it.

44:12We'll see you on the next one.
