0:25we'd love to have you guys come out

0:27there we're always happy to answer any

0:28questions that you have uh but just want

0:30to give a a quick shout out to my man

0:33Tyler congratulations Tyler has been in

0:35the course came in well over six figures

0:39actually one of the highest paid

0:40students that we've gotten placed uh he

0:43was a former nurse now going with a

0:45great company and again it's it's the

0:47moments like this because the reason I

0:49say this is he off his base salary will

0:52make more money than him and his wife

0:54made together as nurses working

0:56full-time and now his wife will get to

0:58be with their daughter and he will have

1:01more work life balance make more money

1:02and get a be with his family and so this

1:04is why we do what we do when everybody

1:06asks me why we do all the free content

1:07all the videos why we have our course

1:09and why we do this it's for these

1:11reasons right here and so I just want to

1:13say congratulations but I want to say

1:14thank you to everyone who trust us if

1:17you guys are interested in the course

1:18again our average person in 2023 is

1:20getting hired in 8.2 weeks at

1:2594471 it's been an awesome ride I got

1:28three other people hired this last week

1:30but Tyler I just want you to know how

1:32proud I am of you um if you guys are

1:34interested again please feel free to

1:36reach out but today we have the special

1:38opportunity of having a former student

1:41Ali guu who is now part of innovis with

1:45us and I get to let you guys see how

1:48great she is um but again just another

1:50person who was 22 years old wanted to

1:52break into medical device sales took the

1:54jump into joining the course and only

1:57eight weeks later had two job offers

1:59from inovis and Striker so let's get

2:03into today's episode welcome back to New

2:06to medical device sales I am your host

2:08Jacob mlin and today I get to come to

2:13you with a very special person who not

2:15only took our course was able to break

2:17in at only the age of 22 years old

2:20before she graduated but

2:22also my cooworker

2:25Ally grew so Ally welcome to the show

2:29thank you very much it it's fun to have

2:33you if you guys didn't see we actually

2:35just spent all week last week in Vegas

2:37together as our team just did a big

2:39announcement of we are now partnered

2:42with aagl and hologic and we are now in

2:45every single residency site in America

2:48so our job last week was training every

2:51single rep on how to use our simulators

2:54and what we'll be going in and so Ali is

2:56now a part of that team very full circle

2:59to have Ally come in and now be a part

3:02of where we are at at inis Medical but

3:05Ally tell us a little bit about yourself

3:08absolutely so as Jacob just said I just

3:11recently graduated college I went to the

3:13University of North Carolina Wilmington

3:16um and I graduated with a major in

3:18Communications and a minor in Psych um

3:20and then my major had a concentration in

3:23sales I um just moved to Tampa about a

3:26month ago but as Jacob said been out of

3:28town for half that uh traveling with

3:31inovis which is honestly a great move in

3:33time and getting to know the team and

3:35just everything has been amazing so yep

3:38that's a little bit about me with my um

3:40education career and then I met Jacob

3:44actually while I was still in college

3:47and so I found him on

3:49LinkedIn and that's where it's all

3:52started I guess yeah no it's fun like we

3:56said to see Full Circle but the one

3:57thing I will just again inis is like no

3:59other company right where startup or

4:01smaller but because of that get some

4:03pretty cool opportunities so Ally when

4:05she's like I've been traveling a lot she

4:07was in England um so not many people get

4:10to go to England and go International to

4:12travel and then went to Vegas was coming

4:14home and then we will have more travel

4:16coming up uh as we're all going to

4:18Nashville here in couple weeks and then

4:20also going back to England for training

4:23as our CEO says reps but also a little

4:27Chris a Christmas party as well to

4:29celebrate so really cool things going on

4:32but but yeah so we we connected via

4:34LinkedIn the one thing I did want to

4:35just say is I had this talk with a lot

4:37of people all the time is parents

4:39getting on the calls and Ally was one of

4:41the people I was on with her mom

4:43explaining what we do and being able to

4:46hey this is the program and all that the

4:47reason I'm just mentioning that is I

4:49have so many college students who are

4:50like well I can't do it because I don't

4:52know if I have it or I can't afford it

4:54but then you know if you have a

4:55supportive other uh we have those

4:57conversations but the reason I just

4:59wanted to bring that up is so people

5:00understand like we talk with everybody

5:02be able to go with everyone but now Ali

5:06what let's go back a little bit so

5:08you're going to college what was kind of

5:10the plan and then like what made you

5:12think medical device sales as you and

5:14then we connected via LinkedIn some

5:16Creep Show on LinkedIn posting with a

5:18mustache now like what made us connect

5:20so tell us a little bit about your

5:22background and then what made you want

5:24to go into medical device sales yeah

5:26absolutely so I knew in college I wanted

5:30to do something sales related or

5:33something just I I'm a big people person

5:35something where I was interacting with

5:37people for my career just as a

5:40day-to-day basis um and I personally am

5:44an athlete and I did uh club lacrosse in

5:47college as long as uh about three years

5:51and then I had a knee surgery it was a

5:53full reconstruction and so I was out of

5:56commission for a good amount of time and

5:58if you're an a athlete or just a

6:00competitive person you know that it's

6:02very difficult to go through these

6:04injuries and it's just very it's as

6:07mentally difficult as it is physically

6:09and I was talking to my surgeon actually

6:12after my knee surgery um and was just

6:15you know going along the lines of I

6:18don't know exactly what I want to do but

6:20this is a b and c of what I'm interested

6:22in and he was like have you ever heard

6:25of medical device sales and I personally

6:28had not so I was like I haven't uh tell

6:31me more and he said that's what his wife

6:33did and she loved it and she traveled a

6:36lot and she just was always on the go it

6:39was something new every day and it just

6:42sounded very intriguing to me so I

6:44actually wanted to get into medical

6:46device sales as I was sitting in a

6:48hospital bed being the patient and so it

6:51was a full Circ another full circle

6:53moment you could say um and I was

6:56looking at you know how to get in how to

6:59a break in and when I had met Jacob on

7:02LinkedIn and as he said my mom joined

7:04the call I was telling my mom um I think

7:07you know I this is a great opportunity I

7:09think I need to do this and the first

7:11thing she said was I think this is too

7:12good to be true like for this price and

7:15for everything all the information

7:16you're getting and she goes let let me

7:18talk to Jacob as well and so it was kind

7:20of a just a slow great progression um of

7:24basically that's why I wanted to get in

7:26and then just the fact of being able to

7:28do something where it is something new

7:30every day and I do get to interact with

7:33people but then the whole Foundation is

7:35you're helping people at the end of the

7:36day and you are making a difference and

7:39so it was just two things that I what I

7:42was good at and then what I wanted to do

7:44combined so it was just kind of the

7:46perfect recipe for me no and that's

7:49great and that's what a lot of people

7:50you know like they don't know about it

7:51till they had an accident or somebody's

7:53like hey have you ever heard of it

7:54because like for me I was 25 years old

7:56had never heard of it the only reason I

7:57heard of it was because the whole

7:59country got shut down and we couldn't do

8:02anything and then I had people be like

8:04hey have you ever thought of this and

8:05then I went down the rabbit hole right

8:07um so so that's always number one number

8:09two I just want you guys to hear I

8:11always laugh because like when I got on

8:13with your mom you know I understand I

8:14always tell people if you don't know who

8:16I am you think I'm just some random guy

8:18who sells a course that's G to scam you

8:20online right but this is where we always

8:22just joke around we put more free

8:23content out hence what you're watching

8:24right now for free where nobody else

8:27does and so again this is where it's

8:28just like do your research we do our

8:30things but again yeah you and your mom

8:32trusted us uh you joined and only eight

8:35weeks later you got hired with inabus

8:38but not only that you had other offers

8:41you had multiple other offers and so

8:42that's the thing again going back to

8:44what we teach in the course and all that

8:45stuff is it's not just coming and get

8:47one it's how do we get multiple people

8:49multiple offer or people multiple offers

8:51speed up that process and now y you had

8:54the choice of really where you wanted to

8:55go had some great great

8:58choices content as uh don't mean to

9:01interrupt you but with that free content

9:02that was how I found you in the first

9:04place because I had seen other people on

9:06LinkedIn just reposting your content and

9:09so then it's just the domino effect of

9:12networking and reposting and things

9:14along those lines so yes that that

9:16content it's it's making is making

9:19differences well it was actually cool

9:21you and I talked about it but we were

9:23just at halic um the national sales

9:26meeting and I got stopped by 15 people

9:28yeah half of them gave me hugs like

9:31literally just saying hey because of you

9:32I'm in this industry you're the reason

9:34I'm here please don't stop and like I

9:36told Ally this when we were in Vegas is

9:38like I really didn't actually understand

9:40the impact we've had um until that

9:42moment because the same thing happened

9:43to me in metronic uh national sales

9:45meeting I got stopped by pay people and

9:47seeing how many people we are affecting

9:50and like making in a positive manner it

9:52it's been really cool so I just want to

9:53say thank you to everyone who supports

9:55us listens to us again when you guys

9:57share us it means the world again our

9:58goal is just to help people and like

10:00this is what's more fun is like seeing

10:02it full circle of Ally took the course

10:04and now she's with our company she's

10:06crushing it and good things are about to

10:08come for her as well um but the one

10:10thing I would say so you decided to take

10:12the course right where did you feel like

10:14the course was the the biggest

10:16beneficial part for you especially going

10:18through that process yeah so I would say

10:22the biggest beneficial thing would be

10:24the confidence that it gave me because

10:27of the knowledge that it gave me cuz

10:29you're going in feeling like I

10:31especially being 22 years old being

10:33younger just not just even in this field

10:36just in the professional world at all so

10:40it it's terrifying it's intimidating

10:42because you feel you know you're going

10:44in at the bottom of the totem pool and

10:46so it definitely helped me gain more

10:48confidence because of just the knowledge

10:50I was getting from the modules and

10:52things along those lines and then

10:54hearing on the Wednesday meetups hearing

10:57people that were actually my age and

11:01some people that even were older that I

11:03could relate to and so it was a very you

11:06know we're all striving for the same

11:07thing but we were all on a different

11:09path and we were all succeeding though

11:12so it was nice it was fun to see it it

11:15was like the same animal different

11:16colors and so it was it was it was a

11:19very um I would say that was definitely

11:20the most beneficial because it you know

11:23success comes in multiple different

11:24fonts and so I think that was like the

11:26biggest thing to get in my mind with I

11:29don't just need this one job I just

11:30don't need this one role it's there's a

11:33whole world out there and so that was

11:35yeah that was very beneficial a th% and

11:37the thing I just tell you guys again she

11:39had multiple offers it wasn't Jacob knew

11:41inovis and helped her like the whole way

11:43no like allly did the work did it and

11:45she had multiple offers from other

11:46companies as well but to that point

11:48that's why we love our office hours is

11:50like every Wednesday we celebrate our

11:52people who are getting hired so you see

11:53that it's working it's not me just

11:55saying hey trust me it works like it's

11:57them coming on we're excited to for them

11:59and then like Ali said it's you see

12:02someone who like Tyler we just got hired

12:03at 142k so Tyler shout out to you buddy

12:06um he definitely deserved it but it's

12:08like you know he's in his 30s right and

12:11then you have Ally who's 22 right like

12:12so it's it's all areas and like you said

12:14there's different beast and there's

12:15different ways you can go and everyone's

12:16in a different Journey but it's all the

12:19same goal and so that's what's really

12:21cool and a lot of fun so when you went

12:24through that process what was the

12:26interview process kind of like for you

12:28because you went with like some of the

12:29bigger companies right and then you also

12:31went with like a startup right with with

12:33inovis so what was kind of like the

12:34biggest difference because that's the

12:35most common questions we get hey should

12:36I go to a startup should I go to a a big

12:38company now the one thing I will just

12:41put out there transparently to most

12:42people out there most startups are not

12:44going to hire a 22 year old most

12:46startups are going to not hire somebody

12:48with no experience and the reason is why

12:50is because just like our company we take

12:53capital capital means we have to make

12:54amount of money and we have to pay

12:56people back well when they're bringing

12:57in people guess what they want people

12:59who already have relationships they

13:00already know what they're doing and that

13:01they don't have to train so they can

13:02come in and make the money right away

13:03for the company right we're in a

13:05different area for our startup where we

13:09just made a massive deal we're going to

13:10be implementing doing different stuff so

13:12that allows us but the reason I'm saying

13:13that is if you're 22 I would not sit

13:16here and say I'm focused on a startup

13:18because it's most likely going to be a

13:20different Journey for you not saying it

13:22can't happen because for Ali it did but

13:24just want to always put that out there

13:25but can you talk about kind of the

13:27differences of that Mass

13:29company like let's just say it was

13:31Striker or going with inis yeah so I

13:35would say the biggest difference was um

13:38this a startup is going to feel a lot

13:41more personalized yep and just um a bit

13:46more they get to they got I felt like

13:48they were getting to know me a bit more

13:49as a person and not just a worker and so

13:52that um is also just another reason why

13:54I did sway that way um I I it was very

13:58very open conversations with both I

14:01would say um but I would say it was more

14:04of a a vague conversation when I was

14:08with a bigger company talking to them

14:10versus when I was talking with Elliot

14:13with inovis I walked away from there and

14:16he knew everything about me in my life

14:18and so that it was just a lot more

14:21personalized um and I I would say that

14:23was the biggest difference um because it

14:27was more technicalities and numbers

14:31things along those lines with the bigger

14:33companies um and then with the startup

14:36it was a lot more hey let's talk about

14:39these technicalities for a couple hours

14:41and then let's spend the same amount of

14:43time of let's see if we even we're going

14:45to be traveling a lot if we're working

14:47together do we even get along just two

14:49people yeah and so I would say that

14:51would be the biggest difference and

14:53that's huge and the one thing I do want

14:54to just real quick mention it's not like

14:56Ally went up against two people like

14:58hundreds right so just like in Striker

15:01it's a very competitive so when she's

15:03like oh it's it was like they're very

15:06similar but it's not it's not like she

15:07was like oh this one she's going up

15:09against a bunch of people and then the

15:10other one it's like oh I'm going up

15:12against two people no it's like she's

15:14going up against hundreds it was just

15:15what's the best feel for her now the one

15:17thing I I've mentioned on here guys is

15:19when you go through like the bigger

15:21companies it's them checking the box

15:23right you have to do interview one you

15:25have to do interview three you have to

15:26do interview five are you doing May did

15:29you do this did you do this right hence

15:32well we already know that so we can just

15:34hey do this and check all these boxes

15:35right but to that point like when you're

15:37with a startup like I joke around with

15:39people all the time it felt like when I

15:40did my interview with Elliot and Jordan

15:42who's our co-founders of inis like when

15:45we did that I told people it's like I

15:47was out on a night just having some

15:50drinks with some muddies like it was

15:52total casual like we were having

15:54conversations now it was still

15:55professional but like the conversation

15:57what they got to know it was way

15:58different like that was not the

16:00interview I had when I was with metronic

16:02or when I've gone through the J&J's the

16:03strikers the zimmers right because it's

16:05very corporate world and there's certain

16:08things they have to do and again there

16:10this is the thing you guys will just

16:12learn as you go through and there's no

16:13right or wrong let me just say this

16:14there is no right or wrong but you just

16:16have to understand when you are at those

16:17big organizations that are that big they

16:19have to do it and there's a lot of red

16:21line there's a lot of things they don't

16:23have says to like a say to compared to

16:26when you're with a startup or a smaller

16:27company like Elliot can do whatever he

16:30really wants because he owns the company

16:31you know what I mean and like they can

16:32run it how they want to and he and to he

16:35will very much tell you because we've

16:37talked about it he has figured out how

16:38to interview very well to get the people

16:40that he wants and so that's he does it a

16:42certain way for that because I tell

16:45people my final was four hours with him

16:49yeah and when I tell like three and a

16:50half four hours also yeah exactly so

16:52when you say that like I never had one

16:54really more than 45 minutes with a big

16:56company right yeah but when you go

16:59small to you go because you have to

17:02understand even more invested because

17:05this is the convers I always get hey

17:07should I go with this company or this

17:08big one you have to understand if you're

17:10going through big companies they're all

17:11big like a striker a JJ metronic they're

17:14they're all big you're and like this is

17:15what you have to understand you're a

17:17number now that might be offensive to

17:20some people but it it is the truth like

17:22yeah you you don't perform well probably

17:26someone else did you know what I mean

17:27going through that compar to when we go

17:29to a startup like when there's only a

17:31certain amount of human beings in

17:33America to make it happen like when I

17:36run the whole Western United States I

17:38have to perform we have to bring money

17:40in otherwise it's like what are we doing

17:42here yeah right and so there's those

17:44conversations that like that was why I I

17:47get asked this all the time Jacob why

17:49did you leave the largest company in the

17:51world to go to a smaller company the

17:53answer for me is very easy is hey it was

17:56a promotion for me right now I'm a

17:58regional sales manager run the west but

17:59also I've always been a person of like I

18:02like that smaller feel I like the more

18:04family feel like like we just talked

18:05about why we were just at that national

18:08sales meeting they're all staying in a

18:09block of room for 1,200 people and

18:11they're at the hotels and they have

18:12these things that they have to do and

18:14we're all going to it and then we're

18:15staying at an Airbnb doing the the

18:18startup world right it's it's just a

18:20it's a different feel so yeah you know

18:23and this is what I can just say is the

18:24amount of laughs well especially the

18:27amount of laughs you and Melissa had

18:29this weekend or this last week you know

18:31that's like it's just a different vibe

18:34right yeah yeah and I I will say

18:36definitely going off of that because

18:38when I was in my

18:40interview um I got called

18:44Megan and

18:46so the one of the bigger company just

18:49really you you re you remember those

18:51things it's just like if you're you are

18:53the interviewer and talking to the

18:55interviewee if they forgot the CEO's

18:59name that's not going to look good and

19:01it doesn't make you feel good and then

19:03like I said and then I talked to Elliot

19:04and to this day Elliot remembers every

19:07little detail I could tell him something

19:09two months ago and he'll remember

19:12everything about my family my dog

19:14anything and so it is just so much more

19:17personalized and like you were saying at

19:20NSM like the nights that we had just

19:23grilling out and just hanging out as a

19:25team those are the that's what makes it

19:28all worth it when you're not just

19:29completely grinding everything out and

19:31so who you surround yourself is with is

19:34the biggest move you can make yeah a a

19:37thousand percent I just have to tell you

19:38guys a little story to that point where

19:40like they called you Megan at the big

19:41companies I went through it and I when I

19:44this was when I was already a rep

19:45started interviewing with some other

19:47companies some bigger companies and like

19:50as you guys imagine I come in and I do

19:51my everything I'm teaching you to do I

19:53do and I do my homework and all this

19:54stuff and then I had the conversation of

19:56like hey what's the territory running at

19:58what's the percentage it's running at

19:59what's the expected growth to plan

20:01what's the app plan right now like those

20:03are good questions once you guys get in

20:05maybe not right away unless you are

20:07somebody going for a full line referral

20:09might want to use those so you actually

20:10know how much money you're going to make

20:11um but to that point the reason I say

20:13that is I was with somebody at a large

20:15company who had been there for 10 plus

20:17years they couldn't answer any of those

20:20questions and the reason I'm telling you

20:22that is that was the RM hiring if that's

20:27their job

20:29is to interview and they don't even know

20:31what the app plan for the job they're

20:33interviewing for is red flag for me

20:37hence going back to what we teach in the

20:39course when we're interviewing it's not

20:42just them interviewing us it's us

20:43interviewing them because do I want to

20:45be a part of this company and this is

20:46where we talk about this in the course

20:48so much and I just have to hammer it

20:50home so many people will be like no J I

20:52don't want to do it because I'm just

20:53going to try it on my own I'm like hey

20:54that's great but you don't know what

20:55you're doing and usually what happens is

20:566 to 12 months later you're like oh my

20:58gosh I haven't broke in I haven't got

20:59past a second round oh I just need a job

21:01please just give me a job first off you

21:03come off desperate and we all know how

21:05that comes off you can feel the energy

21:07thinking again I always bring it back to

21:09dating if anybody's just like will you

21:10go on a date with me and you're like

21:11yeah oh yeah thank God right you're like

21:14well maybe I shouldn't go out on a date

21:15with you right if it's too too eager

21:18right so the reason I'm just saying that

21:19to you guys is as you go through this

21:21process it's like we're teaching people

21:23just like Ally did great hired in eight

21:25weeks two offers right two different

21:28because we're not putting it all in one

21:30but we're making sure it's a good fit

21:31for us because the difference is is when

21:34you just go and try to take any job this

21:36is when I get the calls and they're like

21:37they lied to me or I didn't know they

21:39didn't say anything because they were

21:41just trying to get in right and

21:42everyone's like oh once you get in

21:44that's the hardest part then you're good

21:46but this is what people Miss is like

21:48what happens when you get in and it

21:49sucks for nine months to a two years and

21:52like you now like I've had people

21:54literally quit in six months and I'm

21:55like you're screwed like you might get

21:57you might get a new job but like it

21:59doesn't matter what you say the other

22:01companies are going to be like it

22:02doesn't matter what you say you quit in

22:04six months showing us you don't have

22:05what it's what it takes well you didn't

22:07know how they were treating me these

22:09companies don't care because it is what

22:12it is right and so that's why it's such

22:14a big thing I actually just had a kid

22:16message me today he's going through with

22:18multiple companies and they're like

22:19which one should I go with and I'm like

22:21it's no different than when you guys if

22:22you went to college it's like when you

22:24went and chose College one just felt

22:26right right and you and can feel the

22:28vibe and you can do that and so I just

22:30wanted to to go off that point as like

22:32hey when I went through the interview

22:33process with other company like didn't

22:35know anything and I was like and you're

22:36supposed to be my leader like no I'm

22:39good like I'll figure it out by myself

22:41number two though is like making sure

22:43you have the confidence you know what

22:45you're going through and you know where

22:46you want to go and make sure it's a good

22:47fit for you you're not just taking any

22:49option that comes to you because this is

22:51where you guys come in at

22:52$64,000 make no money and then you don't

22:55know what you're doing compared to like

22:57if you know what you're doing you can

22:58leverage those offers and be able to to

23:00go up so that's me going on my tangent

23:02of knowing where you want to go so now

23:04Ali like this is the thing we already

23:06know how this goes I say this on every

23:08podcast and people will still do it we

23:11all know that there's a lot of people

23:12who listen to every single podcast reach

23:14out to every single one of our guests

23:15and say please give me all the free

23:16information I don't want to take any

23:17courses because I'm cheap and I don't

23:18want to do it but now I'm still trying

23:20for 10 months and I still haven't broken

23:21but please give me every single answer

23:23that you can and give me everything for

23:24free just called you all out hopefully

23:26you're laughing if that's not you if

23:28you're not laughing that's because you

23:29do it so we got gotcha but number two is

23:32like Ally they're going to reach out to

23:33you and say Ally you're 22 years old you

23:36got multiple job offers how were what's

23:39your advice to me so what's your advice

23:41to that person because you didn't come

23:42with that sales experience right so you

23:44didn't have it what's your advice to

23:46somebody who's going to reach out to you

23:47and ask hey what's your advice to me to

23:49help break into medical device sales

23:51yeah so I have been I have been asked

23:55that a couple times and this is actually

23:57a conversation me and you have had

23:59multiple

24:00times potential means nothing if you are

24:03not willing to put in the work you can

24:05have the most potential out of anyone in

24:10your age group within miles and it is

24:12not going to work and it is not going to

24:14pay off if you are not

24:17physically talking to people physically

24:20reaching out physically networking and

24:22you're going to get sick of hearing that

24:23word networking networking networking

24:25but that's what you have to do yep that

24:27is what is going to get you up and up

24:29and up and even like Jacob said we were

24:32just at um the national sales meeting

24:35and I'm still talking to three women

24:37that I connected with on LinkedIn seven

24:40or eight months ago and they're like oh

24:42my gosh we saw on LinkedIn that you were

24:44at like with seeing you grow is so fun

24:46and blah blah blah X Y and Z and so it's

24:50you build those networking connections

24:52but you continue on with the connections

24:54networking does not stop once you get

24:57into the field

24:58that's just you it does not stop the

25:00connections do not stop and so I would

25:03say continuously one you have to

25:06actually be very truthful about what you

25:08want y do not try to sugarcoat it or try

25:11to change your views just to get into a

25:14job because then you're going to get in

25:15and they're going to think that you're a

25:17completely different person than you are

25:18and you're going to be like well I don't

25:20like this yep and when it it was 50/50

25:23and so you have to just be very truthful

25:26and honest about who you are what you

25:28want and stand confident in it which is

25:31the biggest thing that the course had

25:32taught me was to stand confident in it

25:35um but I I would say for anyone

25:37especially around my age like coming

25:39with no

25:40experience you one have to be humble and

25:43you admit you know I I don't have

25:46experience and I know I'm coming in with

25:48a lot to learn and like me right now

25:51drinking from a fire hose but it's all

25:53good stuff and it's everything that is

25:56just going to hit you just it's going to

25:58jump start you basically within the

25:59career and so if you really can prove

26:03and show that you're willing to put in

26:05that work and willing to put in the

26:07hours and the time and you also just are

26:11a good presence to be around and

26:13genuinely like what you're doing that's

26:15the thing is you have to enjoy the

26:17people you're around but what you're

26:19actually doing and your tasks in your

26:20daily day just the life like day in the

26:24life you do and so you have to really

26:27off of that and so I would say that is

26:30the biggest thing is like one staying

26:32true to yourself and two really pushing

26:34yourself to know your limits and see

26:36what you like and don't like yeah and

26:38know that so if you guys were listening

26:40go back to rewind that five minutes and

26:42Rel listen to that because it is the

26:43truth and now here's the thing I always

26:44talk about and I always have to state so

26:46networking is the key everyone always

26:48ask me what are you doing hey networking

26:49but here's what I can say and I say it

26:50all the time 99.9% of people Network

26:53wrong 99% of people say I want to pick

26:55your brain hey I I want to break into

26:57Medical Vice sales hey can you just give

26:59me the whatever this is where I just

27:01tell you guys if you are really looking

27:02to break in especially if you're in a

27:04specific area you only have so many

27:06people to reach out and if you keep

27:07messing up on the networking I'm doing

27:09what Jacob says I'm networking but it's

27:11not working yes if you're sending a 100

27:13messages and you're not getting on calls

27:15and interviews you're doing it wrong I

27:17don't know what else to say to you guys

27:19yeah that is the absolute truth and go

27:22ahead I was G to say I I spent probably

27:25I actually left my college town I had a

27:28lease and I left my college town to go

27:30move back in with my mom because I was

27:32spending so much time on these calls

27:34networking with people I was on the

27:36phone for like six to six to seven hours

27:40a day just speaking with people and like

27:44seniors within the field and it's not

27:48even what are the opportunities you know

27:50of right now it's what kind of

27:52foundation can I lay and then go from

27:55there preach it one more time and this

27:56is what we always say we say it in the

27:57course all the time can lead a horse to

27:59water but can't make them drink it I

28:01tell everybody who joins the course it

28:02is going to be work but again you are

28:04coming into an industry where you're

28:06going to try to make $200,000 as an

28:07average rep right like it takes work

28:10right it's not easy but if you know what

28:12you're doing and can be able to separate

28:14yourself and do it the right way hence

28:16that's all we do hence how allly got two

28:18offers in only eight weeks let me just

28:21we say that two months from trying to

28:24break into to getting in with two offers

28:27like because she knew the right way to

28:28do it now here's the thing she did the

28:30work it was not Jacob make makes a call

28:33and now she has interviews and all this

28:35stuff it was she did the right stuff and

28:37then we got her prepped on ready to go

28:38and then she went and did the work and

28:40crushed it right but that's the biggest

28:42thing I can just tell you all is so many

28:44people are like oh I know I can do this

28:45or oh I feel like this but to the point

28:48is like she made earlier your potential

28:50means nothing because the amount of

28:51people who call me and say like this let

28:53me just tell you guys you know how I

28:54know you're never going to break into

28:55medical device sales I just know I'm

28:58going to be great at this career you've

29:00never been in that's like you saying I

29:02love Africa and I'm like have you ever

29:04been nope but I saw a picture of a

29:06giraffe like doesn't make any sense

29:09right and so the the reason I'm just

29:10saying that is you have to be in here

29:11you have to like Ali said you're going

29:13to put in the work you got to be ready

29:14to go you're not going to get feeling

29:16bad because somebody said Ally you're 22

29:19years old you need to go get sales

29:20experience you'll never break in without

29:21what you have I know you heard it a

29:23million times and guess what now you're

29:25sitting here smiling with two you had

29:26two off and now you're in Med device

29:28sales and your company just made a

29:29massive deal so like things are good the

29:31reason I'm just saying that to every

29:32single person is you guys have to be

29:35able to will be willing to do the work

29:37but again I say this all the time I

29:40normally we have 170 plus episodes by

29:42now usually the information is not the

29:46problem and I'll just say what I say to

29:47everybody it's like sports I played

29:50basketball in college I got pulled out

29:51and I'd get my butt chewed and I'd be

29:53like what the heck's his problem then

29:54I'd go watch game film with my coach and

29:56guess what found out what his problem

29:57was right it's the same thing with so

29:59many of you guys who listen to this

30:00podcast in your car or at the gym or

30:02wherever and you're like yeah I'm doing

30:04it the right way and then you go in and

30:06then you don't know what you're doing I

30:08say hey what are you g to say when they

30:09say hey we have someone from ADP with

30:10three years experience president Club

30:12winners made over 300 Grand and has

30:13clinical experience why would we choose

30:14you over them and you don't have

30:16anything in your head like oh I'm GNA

30:18say this but then sit there in front of

30:20four Regional sales managers and then

30:21say that you don't do it right and

30:23that's where like the coaching the

30:25mentorship and that's what we do to help

30:26you guys get prepared

30:28now with that said Ally I've actually

30:30never asked this question but I want to

30:32I want to say this to you because again

30:33we have a really good relationship your

30:35mom was on the call we talked we got

30:37like you decided to do it you had the

30:39success so you see it you believe it

30:40hence why you're on this podcast right

30:42now but what was the sticking point for

30:45you where you were kind of like I don't

30:47know if I want to do it right like I

30:50think I want to do the course but I'm

30:51not sure if I want to do the course I

30:53get this all the time right like I

30:54already know these answers because I get

30:55on the calls with everybody but what was

30:57the thing that was like I don't know if

30:59it's worth it and then what was the

31:01thing that actually made you finally go

31:03and do the course to get the

31:04results um I think

31:07what kind of was made me hesitant in the

31:10beginning

31:12was kind of honestly what my mom was

31:15thinking as well were it's so much

31:19information and so much knowledge and

31:21advice from two people who have actually

31:24been in the field that

31:27could be charged a lot more I think is

31:31what kind of made me like step back I

31:33was like let's see how this actually

31:35plays out and so that's when I reached

31:39out to my mom and was like you I need a

31:41second opinion on this because this but

31:44the first phone call that I got on with

31:46you where I was explaining the situation

31:48that I was in and how I was feeling

31:50about it and you were the first person

31:52in the field that had just basically put

31:55into words what I was thinking in my

31:57mind and so I knew that you the people

31:59that you learn from you want to

32:02understand it both ways yep and so that

32:05was also the big like a having a

32:07connection with a mentor is going to be

32:09a big thing and the trust within that

32:12Mentor is going to be a big thing and

32:15while networking you will learn that

32:17just the more you go on and who to trust

32:19who not to trust no and so I I think

32:23that really was the price versus the

32:25knowledge was the biggest thing

32:27um and so and then also me coming out of

32:30college I'm like oh my gosh I'm paying

32:31off so much college debt right now I'm

32:33not doing okay

32:35financially so I'm like oh my goodness

32:37gracious but that really I was like I

32:40can actually do this like this is this

32:42could be actual like a good stepping

32:44stone for what I want to get into yeah

32:46and so it just that's basically I would

32:49say the hesitation that I had yeah and I

32:51love it because here's the number one I

32:52know that now first thing you are one of

32:54the few people who are like wait you're

32:56so underpriced right just so you know we

32:58know that we are going up in price

33:00because you're about to see a lot more

33:01testimonial videos and nobody's even

33:03close and the results AKA what you're

33:04just seen right now there is nobody who

33:06does close what we do um but number two

33:08to that point is like that's number one

33:11but being able to trust hey are these

33:13people going to get the results I

33:14understand that everybody watches my

33:15stuff and they're like he sells a course

33:17he's a scammer or he's just take my

33:18money this is what I'm just GNA say I

33:20say this to every single human being if

33:21that is the case I am not a regional

33:23sales manager in inovis if that's the

33:25case I did not perform at metronic I did

33:27okay if that's the case go on to our

33:29testimonial videos you when was the last

33:31time you purchased something took a

33:32video talked about how amazing it was

33:35and then send it to that person I'll

33:36tell you never go to our web page you'll

33:39see a bunch right everybody on our

33:41podcast the last year and a half has

33:43been from our course exhibit a right so

33:46the reason I'm just saying that to you

33:47guys is if if it didn't work it wouldn't

33:49be this stuff right every time I post

33:51and all this stuff it'll be like oh it

33:52doesn't work the thing that you always

33:54have to understand is it's return on

33:55investment right like we talk about like

33:58Grace took a picture with Grace at

33:59hologic you know when she comes in and

34:01she gets a 30X Roi in the first three

34:04and a half weeks of her being in the

34:05course guess what she's pretty dang

34:07happy now she's in her dream career she

34:09was in marketing before making 50k now

34:11she's making way more than that that's

34:13the least she'll ever make in medical

34:14device sales and she broke it in three

34:15and a half weeks in the course right

34:17it's the ROI it's all we do is save you

34:19time and money but again the thing that

34:20you were willing to do Ally and it's why

34:23we you and I have already talked about

34:24this it's why you're going to be

34:25successful you were willing to bet on

34:27yourself and invest in yourself right

34:30because let me just sit here and tell

34:31you guys if I wanted to you know the

34:33results we have I could charge $20,000 a

34:36person yeah I know that right if I

34:39wanted to I could charge more than that

34:41because guess what we get way better

34:42results we get faster results we get

34:44more money with our results but I don't

34:46because you're talking to a guy who

34:47moved out here with $1,200 to his name

34:49six years ago there's a dude who only

34:51takes a select few because guess what

34:53Allie's not like everybody just because

34:55somebody can pay us money to be in the

34:56court doesn't mean we want them because

34:58we want good fits hence we want

34:59motivated individuals who are ready to

35:01be coachable who ready to go after it

35:03that will spend 6 hours on a phone on a

35:05day on a phone call because that's how

35:07you're going to get results and we be

35:08coachable as they go through it compared

35:10to everybody else is like so I pay you

35:12money and what job do you get me none

35:15zero you get zip because guess what you

35:17just showed me you're G to come into

35:18this industry and absolutely suck you

35:20will not perform like the thing that why

35:22I can sit here and I'll tell you guys

35:24look back in Aly in 10 years and she

35:27will be very let's go five years very

35:29very successful because of the mindset

35:31she has that she continues to invest in

35:33herself and she just works hard like

35:35most people aren't willing to do that

35:37and that's why like again as you guys

35:39know as me and Ally work together now

35:41it's like I work a fulltime job I'm not

35:44here to babysit anyone we're here to be

35:46with people who are self-starters

35:47go-getters want to be a part of it and

35:49want to be a part of an awesome

35:50community that they're going to have

35:51lifelong friendships with and people

35:53that they can communicate with

35:54throughout the rest of their career

35:55that's what we want We like Let me just

35:58make this one last time for you all to

36:00hear

36:01it I do well because of medical device

36:04sales the reason you guys see my face is

36:07because we have a team that does this so

36:09you guys investing in the course does

36:10not change my life but I can sit here

36:12and tell you what I tell every single

36:13person on the phone you joining my

36:14course does not change my life but I a

36:16th% guarantee it will change your life

36:19because when you go from making $40,000

36:21with no sales experience and we get you

36:22placed at 100

36:24Grand no that's going to change some

36:26life when I get when I get Tyler placed

36:29and he now makes more money off his base

36:31salary than him and his wife both

36:33working nursing jobs and now his wife

36:35gets to stop her job and stay with her

36:37family and he's going to work less and

36:38make more money that's why we do it

36:40because of the ROI so I had to go on

36:43that because that is the most common I

36:45already knew that's what was going to be

36:46the sticking point because that is

36:47literally everyone's sticking point but

36:48I wanted to put it out there from

36:50someone who was 22 years old had no

36:52sales experience and still made the jump

36:54and 8 weeks later is very happy they did

36:56did because they've already traveled to

36:57England traveled to Vegas they're about

36:59to travel to England again travel to

37:01Nashville now let me just make this one

37:03last time that's not everybody I'm not

37:06saying that's going to be you when you

37:07break in

37:08but alli's pretty dang happy she is now

37:12in medical device sales very happy yes

37:14and what the last thing as we wrap up

37:16what is the last piece any last advice

37:18that you have for

37:20anybody um I would say a little along

37:23the lines of what I said before is to

37:25definitely just continue to be truthful

37:28to yourself truthful to

37:30yourself and the networking the

37:33connections everything does not stop

37:35once you get hired y it is a continuous

37:38cycle because like Jacob said it's I put

37:42in some of the work through the course

37:43and then you just put in even more work

37:45when you're getting interviewed and then

37:48the interviews stop and then you're

37:49actually hired and it does not stop and

37:52it just gets more just a higher level of

37:55what you're passionate about and it's

37:56always so worth it it's like I I went

38:00through like a mock interview and then I

38:03had to go straight to interviewing with

38:04Dr Elliot Street and so it's a bit

38:07intimidating but it's always worth it

38:10and if you're really passionate about it

38:11then you'll put in that work is really

38:14like the basis of it and so just

38:16continue putting in the work and the

38:19time and it will pay off it's just like

38:21anything else in life a th% I have to

38:24say this if you guys go back to watch my

38:2510070 episodes see way back in the day I

38:27used to say the hardest thing I ever did

38:29was try to break into medical device

38:30sales and then I got in and that was the

38:32hardest thing I did right it it doesn't

38:34stop like Ali saying but the reason I'm

38:35just saying that if that scares you

38:37don't do this yeah again I'm not saying

38:40like medical device sales is not for

38:41everybody but it's like if you're like

38:43yeah I want to challenge I want to be

38:45the best I want to continue to grow in

38:46myself maybe this is a career for you

38:49right and that's what I would continue

38:50just to say is BET on yourself work hard

38:52and then lastly yeah networking doesn't

38:54stop you guys like just so you guys know

38:56I broke broke in three years ago in the

38:57last three years I've been on well over

38:5910,000 phone calls like it doesn't stop
