0:00everyone cemre burns here and in today's

0:03video I want to share with you why I

0:06meditate every morning and how I

0:09actually go about meditating and why I

0:12want to share this with you is because

0:14you know meditation has helped me a lot

0:17and it's actually helped me make more

0:20money in business and a lot of you might

0:23be thinking what meditation makes you

0:26money how does that work because I've

0:27tried meditation before and I sat down

0:29did it and I didn't make any money so

0:32you know how it really works is like

0:36you've got to look at why people like

0:38why do people meditate and really

0:41meditation is all about like focus and

0:45it's really about having you know like

0:50getting rid of that chatter and your

0:52head and all of that noise and all of

0:53that chaos that's going around in your

0:55head and that's what meditation is all

0:58about it's about being able to clear

1:00your mind and really focus and stay on

1:05the same task without deviating and

1:08things like that until you get it done

1:11and it's about self-control as well that

1:15is why that is the purpose of meditation

1:17right and so you don't meditate for the

1:20sake of meditating you meditate to

1:23achieve the outcome of meditation which

1:27is focused concentration clean thinking

1:30and also self-control and those things

1:36the self-control the think the clean

1:37thinking the focus those things are

1:40powerful in business because what is

1:44business well you know business is

1:46really just finding a market like a

1:49niche of people finding a problem they

1:52share between them like a widespread

1:55problem that exists among participants

1:57of a particular niche then finding a

2:00solution to that problem and then

2:03selling that solution to those people

2:05and then doing it as efficiently as you

2:08possibly can and at the larger scale you

2:10possibly can that is business right

2:13and so in order to achieve that you need

2:17to be able to think clearly you also

2:22need to have discipline and you need to

2:26be able to focus on things and get them

2:28done and you need to be able to really

2:30be relentless in policing your mind and

2:35policing yourself from distraction

2:37because there's so much noise out there

2:39you know I watch people every day they

2:44like go on to their computer they open

2:46up like their laptop and they go on to

2:51like they let's say they go on to Google

2:53and they're about to light they have

2:55some intent you know they have this

2:57intent like I need to solve this problem

2:58or I need to get an answer to this thing

3:00and then they go onto Google and then

3:03they see like down the bottom it's

3:06something pops up right like a

3:08notification or something and then their

3:10eyes go there and they're like oh they

3:11click on that and then before they know

3:13it they've gotten like eight layers deep

3:16into some rabbit hole like probably down

3:19some YouTube rabbit hole probably you

3:22know down some Facebook rabbit hole

3:24looking at someone's friends someone's

3:26friends someone's friends uncle's friend

3:28just brother and like their photos like

3:31what on earth and then they end up on

3:35like some article about something and

3:37then some other thing and then some

3:39conversation and and before they know at

3:41the end of the day is here so you know

3:44they started their day at 9:00 a.m. by

3:45opening up that laptop with some intent

3:47some purposeful intent to solve some

3:50problem we'll find some answer but they

3:54got distracted and their whole day got

3:57torn out from underneath them and now

3:59it's like 7 8 o'clock and this person's

4:02like [ __ ] we didn't read my whole day go

4:04and so they're like alright well I don't

4:07know how they happen but tomorrow's the

4:08day tomorrow I will solve this thing and

4:10then they go to sleep wake up the next

4:13morning open up that laptop with that

4:15same intent they go they're about to

4:18type it into Google and then pop the

4:21notification down the rabbit hole again

4:23and this just keeps going

4:26and you know you've really got to be

4:29extremely self disciplined and you've

4:31got to be extremely like clear-headed

4:35and you've got to be extremely good at

4:38focusing on tasks for a long period of

4:40time and like trying to stay focused and

4:44not get distracted and that in the in

4:48the modern world that's extremely hard

4:50to do because there's so many

4:51distractions there's so many things

4:53competing for your attention and

4:54competing for your time

4:55and so you know because of all of this

4:58right so where I'm going with all of

5:00this is it's hard to focus and in order

5:04to be successful in business you need to

5:06focus

5:07so therefore anything that can help us

5:10focus is going to help us be successful

5:11in business and meditation is one of

5:14those things that I've found to be the

5:18most instrumental in helping me focus

5:21and so that's my point you know most

5:25people think hard meditation that's a

5:26waste of time I could be I could be

5:29sending emails or doing sales calls or

5:30something with that twenty minutes yeah

5:33but it doesn't work like that the myth

5:34the act of meditating doesn't make you

5:36money

5:37the byproduct of meditating makes you

5:39money and it's not a waste of your time

5:42because they're twenty minutes at the

5:43start of the day that AG that ads that

5:47acts as a force multiplier for every

5:51other hour you have in your day so let's

5:53say you work for eight hours a day right

5:54and you might think well why would I

5:56waste half an hour of meditating when I

6:00only have eight hours now I've got like

6:01seven and a half right it doesn't work

6:03like that it acts as a force multiplier

6:05so let's say you have eight hours and

6:07you're meditating for thirty minutes

6:10those eight hours will really be

6:12multiplied by like two so you get like

6:15sixteen hours and so the time doesn't

6:18change but your productivity changes and

6:21you get more done even though you've got

6:23less time because someone's been

6:25meditating and this is how it works and

6:28I see people make this mistake all the

6:30time they like I don't have enough time

6:31to meditate meditation it gives you more

6:34time even though it takes away some time

6:35because it's a force multiplier and I

6:38see some people say

6:39you know meditating it you know I tried

6:44it and it didn't work or I tried it and

6:47I didn't make any money all right well

6:48you're not gonna make any money from the

6:50act of it but if you meditate

6:52consistently for like 30 days I

6:55guarantee you you'll see a change and

6:57then the other one was I tried

7:01meditation and it doesn't work

7:03well you don't meditate once and then

7:05expect some result

7:06you know meditation is something you

7:08have to do consistently every single day

7:10over a long period of time and so really

7:15what you want to do and this is what I

7:16do personally is I meditate every single

7:19morning before work and I do it for 20

7:21minutes and so my morning routine looks

7:24like this I wake up at 6:50 in the

7:26morning at 7 o'clock I'm at the gym I

7:28work out for about one hour and then at

7:308 a.m. I have a smoothie for breakfast

7:33and then at 8:30 a.m. I have a shower no

7:39sorry at from from 8 a.m. I have my

7:43smoothie and then at about 8:15 a.m. I

7:45have my shower and get ready and then at

7:468:30 a.m. I start my meditation and then

7:50by 9:00 a.m. I'm done and then I'm ready

7:52to start my day working at 9:00 a.m. so

7:55before I get started on the work I've

7:58done a workout had something to eat and

8:01I've gotten ready had a shower and I've

8:03meditated and those things really wake

8:06you up they say sit like the day they

8:09put it in motion and starting a day

8:12after that you're already going you know

8:15you've you're really broken that inertia

8:18and you've gained that momentum and

8:20things are already flowing and you're

8:22able to concentrate well for the rest of

8:24the day and I'd recommend you to do the

8:26same it really helps a lot plus it's

8:28free and it's easy to meditate so the

8:31next question you've probably got is

8:32well how do you meditate we know when

8:34you we know the frequency we know the

8:36purpose of why but how so I see a lot of

8:42people say well Sam what books should I

8:44read or meditation or what videos should

8:47I walk to a meditation or what apps do I

8:50use or like what pillow do

8:53and it's pretty funny because you really

8:56don't need anything you know meditation

8:58this is all you need so I just sit on

9:02the edge of my chair and the reason I

9:05sit on the edge of my chair is because

9:06you don't want to be slouching back you

9:08want to have like a straight spine you

9:10don't want to be resting against

9:11something so just sit on the edge of my

9:13desk chair here and then I just put my

9:17hands like on the top of my knees like

9:21that and then I just closed my eyes and

9:24I use my iPhone as a timer so I turn it

9:27on airplane mode because I don't want

9:30anyone to call me or anything like that

9:31while I'm in the middle of it so turn

9:33you're on airplane mode then just go to

9:36your clock and then countdown timer set

9:39it for 20 minutes press Start and then

9:41close your eyes and then all you do is

9:45you just breathe in through your nose

9:47and then out through your nose and what

9:51you try to do is just focus on your

9:52breath right there where it touches like

9:54the skin going into your nose that point

9:57on your nostril and you just try and

9:59focus on that you try to feel the

10:01sensation of the breath coming in and

10:03then the breath going out and you just

10:05hold your attention on that now I don't

10:09you don't try to think about anything

10:11you're not thinking at all you're trying

10:14to think about nothing and you just do

10:17that by focusing on your breath and what

10:20you'll find is that the thoughts pop

10:23into your mind and another myth faith I

10:26hear people say about meditation is you

10:28know I tried to do it but I just kept

10:30having thoughts and it's like obviously

10:32you know like no one sits down and

10:35meditates it just doesn't ever have a

10:37thought like you have something like

10:39seventy thousand thoughts a day right

10:41they're very rampant and they start most

10:46people aren't aware of the thoughts they

10:47have and they you know they drive them

10:49crazy but meditation really helps you

10:53become aware of those thought patterns

10:54that you've got and so when you start

10:57meditating don't expect to not have any

11:00thoughts expect have a lot of them but

11:02you're going to start to be become aware

11:05of them and

11:06gonna get better at policing them and

11:09focusing back on your breath so like I

11:14said you just sit down start the timer

11:15breathe in through nose out through your

11:18nose and when you have a thought like

11:20you'll what you'll find is you start

11:22focusing on your breath and then within

11:24a few seconds you'll have a thought and

11:26your your attention will be carried out

11:28over here and then that's fine as soon

11:31as you catch it and you become aware

11:32that you have gone off focus catch that

11:36thought and just bring your attention

11:37back to your breath all right and then

11:41you'll be focusing on your breath again

11:42then you have another thought and then

11:45as soon as you catch it just bring it

11:47back to the breath and then what you'll

11:49find is that you know sometimes you have

11:51a thought which then creates another

11:53thought which then creates another

11:54thought which then just creates this

11:56entire like labyrinth of thought and it

12:00might last for minutes and then you

12:02catch it you're like wow and then you

12:04bring it back to your breath and that's

12:06what meditation is it's not just sitting

12:08there and not having a single thought

12:10that isn't it you know why you're

12:12meditating is so that you can get good

12:15at catching your thoughts becoming aware

12:18of them and then bringing your focus

12:21back to your breath now why this is

12:25powerful it's because when you first

12:27start doing it you will find that you

12:30can barely focus on your breath for like

12:32a second before you ever thought and

12:34that you have this this entire chain of

12:37thoughts before you even become aware of

12:38it catch it and bring it back now that

12:41is your attention span all right that is

12:45the worst that is the more you have to

12:49gain from meditation so if you try to

12:52meditate and it's excruciatingly ly hard

12:54then that's good that means that you

12:58have a huge amount to gain from

13:01meditation right the harder it is for

13:03you to do the more you have to gain from

13:06it because it means that you're

13:07basically in erotic and there's no

13:10benefit to being neurotic at all and so

13:13meditation will help calm you down and

13:15help make you more self-controlled more

13:19clear

13:20hitted and more we're and so that's

13:23basically it

13:24and you know I've been meditating for

13:26probably two years now and it's made a

13:29huge profound difference to my life in

13:32my business and everything it's made me

13:34a lot more self-aware it's made me a lot

13:36more aware of my thought patterns and

13:38all of that and it's helped me to

13:41develop a much bit of focus when I'm

13:44working and through self control focus

13:47and all of that you know I've been able

13:48to to you know make a lot of money with

13:52that and make big advancements in my

13:53business so it's something that's free

13:56it's something that's easy to do and

13:59it's something that adds huge benefit to

14:03your life and makes you more money so

14:05really if you're not doing it then

14:07you're kind of stupid because it's one

14:10of those things that really helps a lot

14:12and there's no excuse for not doing

14:14really and what you'll find is that you

14:19know whenever you're working like

14:21sometimes the thing will the things that

14:23make you the most money and add the most

14:25value they're typically long-term like

14:29big tasks that take a lot of focused

14:33attention all right they're these big

14:35gnarly things these big hills and most

14:40people are really good at just handling

14:42small little tasks like reply to that

14:45email send that message read this

14:48article you know make this phone call or

14:52do this little thing that they good at

14:53just doing these small little little

14:55micro tasks right and the problem is

14:59with doing those you just train your

15:01mind to be good at small little things

15:04that don't really require much focused

15:08deep attention and deep thinking and so

15:12as soon as that person goes to do

15:14anything meaningful like build a product

15:17or build something that's going to take

15:20let's say it's going to take you know

15:22six months of work everyday for like

15:26nine hours a day everyday for six months

15:28right it's a big task but if you if

15:31you've got if a person who's used to

15:33doing these

15:33small little tasks goes to try and do

15:35that then it's going to be excruciating

15:39for them you know they're just going to

15:40be like scratching their arms like and

15:42they're just going to be thinking of

15:44that Facebook app and their Instagram

15:47app and going over to YouTube and

15:49watching another video they're going to

15:50be diggin that their mind is going to be

15:52looking for the exits you know they're

15:53going to be in panic mode because it's

15:56excruciating for them to sit in one spot

15:58and focus on one thing for a period of

16:01time longer than like a few minutes all

16:04right and this is the thing that stops

16:08most people from succeeding in life it's

16:10the inability to stick to something and

16:13see it through to the end when it's you

16:16know when it's a big task they can do

16:17the small little things but the big ones

16:19that they can't do it and it's not that

16:23that's who they are it's not that you

16:27know they can't do it it's just that

16:29they've chose they've really just gotten

16:31themselves hooked on my instant

16:33gratification and small little

16:36distraction tasks right that's what

16:38they've gotten them hooked

16:39they've that's what they've gotten

16:40themselves hooked on and once you get

16:42hooked on that stuff and you try to do

16:44the other thing it's really hard it's

16:46excruciatingly ly hard and you need to

16:49just practice it and practice it and

16:50practice it until you can get it done

16:52and then once you can get those sorts of

16:54things done you will dominate in life

16:56and in business and meditation really

16:59helps you with that and what you'll

17:01actually start noticing when you start

17:03doing some deep focused work and working

17:05on some big projects is that it is kind

17:08of like meditation itself because you're

17:11working on this thing fully focused on

17:13it and then you start getting these

17:15thoughts and you start catching the

17:18thought and you're oh man why am I

17:20thinking about that and you just keep

17:21focusing on the work and then you have

17:23this another thought and it's over here

17:24and it might be something that you know

17:27happened when you were 6 years old or

17:29something and you're like why the hell

17:30am I thinking about that you bring it

17:31back to the work and then you might have

17:33this ping out over here and you're like

17:35thinking about getting a haircut or

17:37having a snack or you know going and

17:39doing this thing or looking at this book

17:42that's on your bookshelf you have all of

17:43these random thoughts and you just keep

17:46bringing

17:47you'll focus back to the work and so you

17:50know really meditation is exactly the

17:52same in a way as doing deep focused work

17:56and so meditation trains you for that

17:59and then it enables you to really do

18:02that and once you're able to do that

18:04you'll be able to tackle big things big

18:06long-term gnarly things that are going

18:08to make a profound difference in your

18:10life and in your business and then you

18:14know one last thing I'll say about

18:15meditation is that you know when you're

18:20working on these tasks and you're really

18:22deep into the work you'll you'll notice

18:26that you know you have all of these

18:27other thoughts that really take you away

18:29and when you're able to really just pull

18:32back and focus on it each time you do

18:36that like you get better at it and

18:38better at it and better at it and the

18:39period of time that you're focusing gets

18:41longer and longer and longer and before

18:44long you'll be able to do an hour

18:45without having like a ping pinging

18:48thought out there and once you're able

18:51to do that once you're able to pretty

18:53much like focus on something so

18:55intensely that it's kind of like you

18:57lose your sense of self it's like kind

19:00of like you go into the computer and you

19:03forget that you're even here like your

19:05physical body and everything and you

19:07forget about your surroundings and your

19:09environment and you forget about the

19:10time time and space just collapse and

19:12don't exist and you're fully in that

19:15state and then all of a sudden you're

19:18like you snap out of it and you're like

19:19wow what's the time and all of this

19:21times gone and you've done all of this

19:23work and you're like man I didn't even

19:25have like a single thought during that

19:27it's just like you were flowing and once

19:30you're once you're able to do that for

19:32like let's say an hour straight or two

19:34hours straight without having a single

19:36distraction that is when you've

19:40experienced being in the zone and once

19:43you've experienced being in the zone you

19:45you know your life will change because

19:48the zone is where like the magic happens

19:52and until you get until you've

19:54experienced it you have no idea what can

19:57be done in that place you know it's like

19:59it's a

20:00that kind of defies the rules of reality

20:03and you can really do some amazing stuff

20:07in there and a lot of athletes talk

20:09about the zone like Kobe Bryant talks

20:11about it a lot

20:13and he's got a documentary called muse

20:16Kobe Bryant Muse it's really good and

20:17the zone is you know your best friend

20:21when it comes to business and really

20:23anything in life and you want to be able

20:25to get into that place like as fast as

20:28possible and with as much like

20:31predictability as possible and then you

20:33want to be able to stay in that place

20:34for as long as possible and as deeply

20:38and as intensely as possible but every

20:41single day and I remember back to when I

20:42was just getting us started in business

20:44and honestly I was like never ever ever

20:48in the zone because I was always so like

20:50self-conscious and thinking about like

20:53by thinking about what other people

20:55would think about me and thinking about

20:57you know all of this external stuff and

21:00thinking about it like I'm too hot and

21:02too cold I'm too hungry or I'm tired I'm

21:04all of these things right and there's

21:06you what you'll notice is there's all of

21:08these words like I'm and me it's all

21:10about you and how others perceive you

21:12and how you think of yourself and how

21:14you're feeling and all of this crap

21:16right and whenever you've got a lot of

21:19this going on in your mind you are most

21:22certainly not in the zone you know

21:24because whenever you're thinking about

21:26that stuff you're like you're totally

21:29just really like self-absorbed and it's

21:34whenever you really care about like

21:36yourself and how people perceive you and

21:38everything you're definitely not in the

21:39zone that's a sure sign that you're not

21:41in it but when you forget about all of

21:45that and it's like everything just

21:46disappears and it's like you're pretty

21:48much just standing in like space by

21:51yourself and you're not even having any

21:53thoughts or cares or anything you're

21:55just deeply in the work that's the zone

21:58and until you can get in there you can't

22:01really achieve anything great and you

22:03can't really do anything debt productive

22:05because you're you're too worried you're

22:07too worried about whether it's going to

22:09work or not rather than just getting

22:10into it and getting it done and

22:13when I first started in business I could

22:17never get in there ever and so it was a

22:20real uphill battle and then after a bit

22:23of time I noticed that you know out of

22:26I'd work about five six days a week and

22:28I'd noticed that about one day a week

22:32for a total of about three hours I would

22:35just be real focused and get a lot of

22:37stuff done for some reason and I'd

22:39noticed that what I got done in that

22:41little time frame was more than the

22:44equivalent of every other day of the

22:46week and I was like well what is going

22:48on here how come I can't be consistent

22:50with this how come I can't do this level

22:52of productivity all day every day and it

22:56drove me nuts trying to figure it out

22:58and really what it was was it was like

23:01every now and then I'd kind of drop into

23:03the zone and get into it but I hadn't

23:05mastered the ability to control it it

23:08would kind of come on and off without me

23:12really knowing and being aware of it and

23:14I had no I'd know idea how to control it

23:16and it took years and years of practice

23:18before I could really just turn it on

23:20and turn it off and go into it for long

23:23periods of time and you know these days

23:25I can really just get into it every day

23:28and stay there for 1213 hours and get a

23:31lot of stuff done and it's really like

23:33having a superpower honestly because you

23:36can get more stuff done in one day then

23:37a lot of people can get done in like a

23:39month

23:39no kidding when you get into this place

23:42and tips to get into that place as

23:45quickly as possible stop drinking

23:47alcohol that is one surefire way to

23:50wreck your brain and not be able to get

23:52into the zone because it just fogs you

23:54over it's like it just glazes over your

23:56eyes and it just

23:57fogs you up and just numbers you up so

24:00get rid of that the second thing is like

24:03cut out sugar because sugar really makes

24:06your brain go nuts and so if you cut

24:08that stuff out you will find it easy to

24:10get to zone third one stay hydrated just

24:13drink lots of water

24:14fourth is sleep you really need to get

24:17sleep and I've experimented with us I

24:20tried having not much and it really did

24:23not work it was one like what I noticed

24:25from a lot of my experiments is

24:27that sleep is more important than diet

24:29and exercise and meditation sleep is the

24:32most important thing you need to be

24:33getting eight hours a night at

24:34consistent go to bed times and wakeup

24:36times and then you know exercise helps

24:39as well having a healthy diet and then

24:41meditation if you do all of those things

24:44you will be able to get into the zone

24:47faster stay in there for longer and go

24:49into deeper levels of concentration and

24:52I only wish someone had told me this

24:54back when I was getting started in

24:56business because I was doing none of

24:58that and it was very painful to never be

25:03able to get into that space and only

25:04experience at once every week for a

25:06little period of time and if I was if I

25:09had done some of these things like

25:10meditation exercise and all of that back

25:12then I would have been I would be way

25:15further ahead than I am now and I

25:17wouldn't have had to go through a lot of

25:18that torture some pain and frustration

25:21so that's it for this video I just

25:24wanted to tell you why I meditate and

25:27why you should too you know if you want

25:30to be a bit of human then you should

25:33meditate seriously it will really change

25:35your life and I gave you some good

25:37arguments for why I don't see any good

25:39arguments for why not so it's one of

25:41those things that you should do and I

25:44also told you how to get into the zone

25:46and how to really know if you're in it

25:47or out of it and how to optimize the

25:50ingredients and the variables and the

25:51inputs in your life that are going to

25:53really create an output of focus and

25:57getting into the zone so that's it for

25:59this video and if you liked it just

26:01click that like button and also Lipp

26:04leave me something in the comments let
