0:02I'm gonna take you on a little little
0:04tour I'm going to show you what I've
0:06been building for the last three years
0:16so I call this the cacti Garden
0:19it's a collection of cactuses
0:23and this
0:24is the outdoor area
0:26this is where we eat lunch together
0:28every day take a full hour to eat lunch
0:32thank you
0:38now I actually I'll I'll give you a tour
0:41of the offices like a full tour uh next
0:45week that'll be next week's video
0:46because you know that's a whole video in
0:49and of itself
0:52but today I want to show you what I've
0:54been
0:55building for the past
0:59three years
1:02this is my desk
1:04this is where I sit every day
1:08I'm going to show you
1:10school now jump onto my computer
1:13and show you what this is how it works
1:16and
1:18let's do it
1:20so school is a platform where you can
1:23create learning communities
1:25think of it as your LMS like something
1:28like kajabi teachable thinkific right
1:31think of it as your LMS combined with
1:34your community something like a Facebook
1:36group or a Discord server or a slack
1:39group and your calendar which might have
1:42links to live streams that you do or q a
1:46calls that you do or maybe their actual
1:49physical events right what I found after
1:52being in this course game for about 10
1:54years now is that
1:56courses have evolved they've become more
1:59than just static content in a Content
2:01portal courses these days they include
2:03the content right the training as well
2:06as a community where students can
2:08interact with each other and some kind
2:11of event schedule that might include
2:13live physical events or some virtual
2:15events right and the problem is is that
2:18these were all over the place you would
2:20typically have your course content in
2:22one place then you would have your
2:24community in another place and then
2:26you'd have your live calls in another
2:28place
2:29and it's students don't know what their
2:32logins are they don't know where to go
2:34to watch the course they don't know
2:35where to go to talk to each other and
2:37they never know when the calls are
2:39happening or the events are happening in
2:41their local time zones and it's just a
2:44big mess right and what I wanted to do
2:46with school was bring all of these
2:48things together so that your students
2:50would have one place one home for
2:53everything that they need in their
2:54learning experience so with school all
2:57your students need is one login and one
2:59profile and one search for everything
3:02that they experience in their customer
3:05Journey with you so let me show you how
3:07it works this is a group that I've
3:09created on school called Quantum right
3:12so School allows you to create groups
3:15now a group contains three things a
3:18community
3:19a classroom and a calendar and I'll show
3:22you what those are right now so our
3:24community is where all of your students
3:26can interact with each other think of it
3:28kind of like a Facebook group but better
3:30right so you can post like this right
3:33you can write your post you can attach
3:36any kind of file you can add links like
3:39this
3:40you can add videos you can add polls and
3:44you can add emojis and gifs you know all
3:46the things that you'd expect from a
3:48typical Community platform you can also
3:50have categories and categories act as
3:53like guide rails for discussion kind of
3:56like in the original Forum days but made
3:58a bit more modern so that you can
4:00organize the discussion inside your
4:02community right
4:04so that's how you write a post and then
4:07you can scroll down and see all of the
4:09different posts like this so to open a
4:11post you just click on it like that and
4:13it opens you can like posts you can see
4:16who's liked things and you can watch
4:19posts to get notified when there's new
4:22activity and you can see all of the
4:24comments like this and you can write
4:27your own comment like this right
4:30so that is the community
4:33then there's the classroom now classroom
4:36is where you can put your courses so you
4:39can have one or multiple courses in a
4:41classroom you can have unlimited as many
4:43as you want
4:44in my Mastermind group called Quantum I
4:47use a course for each live event
4:50recording so in Quantum we do like
4:53quarterly Live Events and I record them
4:56and then after the event I put the
4:58recordings in a course like this so here
5:01are the here are the event recordings
5:04you can create categories or sets inside
5:07of courses and you can then create
5:09modules like this and then your members
5:11can Mark different modules as done and
5:14it will track their progress and you can
5:16attach any kind of resource action items
5:20a transcript you know anything you want
5:23and your members can even discuss the
5:24module beneath
5:27so there's a social element to it too
5:29this is what it looks like if you have
5:31multiple courses inside of a classroom
5:33however
5:35in this other group I have called we
5:37tube we only have one course inside
5:40and it just goes straight into it like
5:42this so you can have one course or you
5:45can have multiple courses inside of your
5:48group
5:49now the third element to a school group
5:53is the calendar
5:54Now calendar is a way that you can
5:56organize all of your events these might
5:59be virtual events that happen on Zoom or
6:01something or they might be physical and
6:04person events
6:05all you need to do is add an event once
6:09and it will show to every member in your
6:11community in their local time zone right
6:14so everyone is looking at the same
6:16calendar but viewing it in their own
6:18local time and to see an event like this
6:22you just click it it opens up and
6:24members can add it to their calendar
6:26like this you can create recurring
6:28events and all of that so it's just set
6:30once and forget about it and
6:31everything's taken care of what you'll
6:34notice with this is that your your call
6:36and event attendance will increase
6:37because there's one central place where
6:40everyone can see what's happening in
6:42this group and they all get to view it
6:43in their own local time zones members
6:46can view the calendar by month or they
6:49can view it
6:50by a week view or they can look at the
6:52year View and see what's happening for
6:54the whole year
6:55this is perfect for masterminds where
6:58there's you know a few Live Events each
7:00year right
7:03so that's what school is it's basically
7:05three things in one Community courses
7:07and calendar
7:09we also add gamification to make things
7:12fun and engaging
7:14so the gamification system
7:17I'll show you how it works
7:20every time a member gets a like
7:24they get a point right I can see Jessica
7:28here is on level four so as you get
7:32likes you'll gain points and as you gain
7:35points you go up levels right the it's
7:39easy to get from level one to level two
7:41but it gets harder and harder to level
7:43up as you go like a game would right
7:46now
7:47as a member gets likes they get points
7:50and then they go up levels and this will
7:53their level will show next to their user
7:56profile like this right
7:59we also have leaderboards where you can
8:02see all of the different levels in the
8:05group and what level you're on so here I
8:09can see that I'm on level five and I've
8:11got these levels left to unlock
8:13and you can see how many points you've
8:16got left to go to get to the next level
8:19we also have leaderboards so we show you
8:21who's got the most points in the past
8:24seven days 30 days and all time
8:28now why we do this we do it to make it
8:31fun and engaging and I'll show you what
8:35you can do with this so there's two ways
8:37to basically incentivize like engagement
8:41and fun inside your community one is you
8:44can manually award prizes to members
8:48like on your leaderboard each month so
8:50some of our groups on the first day of
8:53each new month they look at the
8:54leaderboard for the past 30 days and
8:56they might give prizes to the top five
8:58or the top 10 members we've seen people
9:01give books uh one-on-one calls or
9:04coaching calls we've seen people give
9:08um we've seen people give away like
9:09iPads and stuff too but it's a really
9:12great way to incentivize engagement by
9:15giving people prizes now this is how it
9:18happens for for the members they think
9:20oh I want to get that prize so I have to
9:22get on that leaderboard how do I get on
9:25the leaderboard I need to get points how
9:26do I get points well I need to get likes
9:28how do I get likes by contributing
9:31something of value to the group that
9:33might mean sharing something in a post
9:35or it might mean answering somebody
9:38else's question and contributing an
9:40answer or value to them right so the
9:43ants go where the sugar lies you provide
9:45the incentive and the group members opt
9:47their behavior for that incentive and
9:50what you get what everyone gets out of
9:52this is an engaging valuable community
9:55and a valuable learning experience right
9:59so there's that's one way to incentivize
10:01is to give away prizes manually another
10:03way is to automate it and this is what
10:08we do inside this group we've got called
10:11School Community if I look at the
10:13leaderboards here
10:14you can see that there's you can unlock
10:17things at different levels so at level
10:21three you can unlock a course called
10:23like School Secrets at level five you
10:26can unlock School in a circle and at
10:28level seven you can unlock a visit to
10:30the school headquarters right you can
10:32actually come in and hang out with us
10:34and you know have lunch with us one day
10:36right so you don't have to make it all
10:39manual where you where you send things
10:40you can create some incentives and let
10:43them unlock it at particular levels too
10:45another thing you can do is you can name
10:47your levels so you can see here that
10:49I've I've come up with some names for
10:51these different levels
10:53and this enables you to kind of like
10:56personalize your group so if you've got
10:58a chess group you can use names of
11:00famous chess players right if you've got
11:03a karate group you can use the different
11:05colors of the belts or whatever you can
11:08personalize your group to fit the theme
11:11and the culture and the vibe that you're
11:13going for here and it just makes it a
11:14little bit more fun right
11:19so that's the gamification system
11:22now school has everything you need and
11:25nothing you don't
11:27so we've got chat or DMs and you to
11:32message somebody
11:33you just go like this you hover over
11:35their name
11:37and you can click chat and you can type
11:40a message like this right you can also
11:43access your chats up here like this
11:48and
11:49it also has notifications
11:53so we have the notifications menu up
11:55here
11:56and we send you notifications in the app
11:59like this and if you click on a
12:02notification it just takes you to the
12:05comment or the post like this right
12:08we send them to you inside the app but
12:11if you don't check the app for a while
12:14like later in the day then what we'll do
12:16is we'll bundle up all of the
12:18notifications that you should have that
12:19you would have got if you're in the app
12:21and we send them to you in an email so
12:23that even if you're not checking the
12:25platform you're still aware of what's
12:27going on on the platform
12:29and we also send weekly digests so what
12:33we do is we take all of the posts that
12:35happened in the last week and then we
12:38sort them by most popular to least
12:40popular and then we get the top 10 of
12:42those posts we bundle them up and we
12:44send them to you in one email Digest
12:48so that even if you're not checking the
12:50group you still get to see like what's
12:53going on inside the group right
12:58we also have user profiles so I can view
13:03my profile like this profiles contain
13:06your contributions which are all of the
13:09posts and comments that you've
13:10contributed to the group you can also
13:13see an activity chart so you can see how
13:15active the member has been every day
13:18over the past year
13:20and you can see their profile picture
13:22their level how many points they've got
13:24left to go till they get to the next
13:26level
13:27their location and their Myers-Briggs
13:30type as well as a bio when they've been
13:33a member from whether they're online or
13:35not and their completion of the courses
13:39so you can see how much of the different
13:41courses that somebody has completed too
13:43you can also see how many times this
13:46person's contributed to the group how
13:48many people are following them in the
13:49group and how many people that this
13:51person is following in the group so we
13:54have very rich user profiles right
13:58and you can also follow somebody to be
14:00notified every time that person comments
14:03or I mean every time that person posts
14:05in the group
14:06we also have a very powerful search
14:09function so if I search for something
14:11like YouTube
14:14it will pull up all of the posts and the
14:17comments that are in this group as well
14:20as well as all of the different
14:22classroom modules that reference YouTube
14:26and all of the members that have YouTube
14:29right so with one search box I can find
14:33all the members all the classroom
14:35content and all of the group discussion
14:38that references a particular keyword
14:41we also have email broadcasts so
14:45let's say you want to send an email
14:47broadcast to all of your group members
14:49you just click write something you do a
14:52normal post and then you just check this
14:54send email to all members this will take
14:58your post and send it as a
15:00well-formatted email including images or
15:03videos or whatever you want and it will
15:05deliver it to all of the members inside
15:07of your group via email
15:09this is an awesome way to communicate
15:12with your members without having to
15:15segment lists look at tags or any of
15:17that stuff and it also gives them a
15:20place to go to actually comment on that
15:22email right so I used an email broadcast
15:25to do this RSVP post here
15:29so here I was asking are you attending
15:31the next event in LA and then I
15:34broadcasted it to everyone and then
15:36everyone was able to comment and say
15:38whether they were attending or not
15:39attending so just using a post and an
15:42email broadcast feature I was able to
15:44run a
15:46an RSVP system to my group right usually
15:50this might be creating a Google survey
15:52and sending an email broadcast making
15:55sure you send it to everyone and you get
15:57the tags and everything right with
15:58school it's just simple you write a post
16:00you check a button you click post and it
16:03sends to everyone right
16:06there's also powerful metrics inside
16:09school so you just click on the settings
16:11button and you can see
16:14with one simple dashboard
16:17the health of your community so I can
16:19see in the past 30 days how many members
16:22my group has grown by so this group's
16:24grown by 39 members in the past 30 days
16:27and how many of those members were
16:28active so 177 of 179 members were active
16:33in this group which is a 99
16:35like monthly active user rate which is
16:38extremely high and this is what you'll
16:40find on school the engagement is very
16:43high because of the gamification system
16:45and putting everything together in one
16:47place and making it simple fast and easy
16:50to use right you'll we've noticed people
16:53move from Facebook groups and other
16:55community platforms and actually see an
16:57increase in their engagement and this is
17:00measured by monthly active users daily
17:03active users and weekly active users you
17:05can break it down here so I can see you
17:07know roughly 77 percent of members are
17:11active weekly and roughly
17:15forty percent of members are active
17:18daily right
17:20so you can see the engagement of your
17:23group like that
17:26we also have a feature called Auto
17:29affiliate
17:30so
17:31when you use School
17:33we give you an affiliate link so you can
17:36grab it like this and you can copy your
17:39affiliate link and share it with
17:41somebody else like this
17:43and they will be able to have their own
17:45free trial of school
17:47and it will say that they were referred
17:49by you right
17:51now if somebody signs up with your
17:53referral link then you will get 40 of
17:57their monthly recurring revenue for life
17:59so school is 99 a month that means if
18:02someone signs up with my link I'll get
18:0440 a month every month for as long as
18:06that person is a customer
18:08right but we do something quite unique
18:11here and we call it auto affiliate
18:14so if somebody creates a group from my
18:18group like I own this group here called
18:20wetube if someone's in here and they're
18:22like I like this platform I want to make
18:24a group they can click
18:25create a group and you can see it
18:28automatically attributes to me so
18:30automatically if any of your members
18:33decide to create a group you will get
18:36paid 40 of their subscription price
18:39for life without even having to share
18:41your link we just attribute them to you
18:43automatically and that's what we call
18:45Auto affiliate and by doing this school
18:48becomes an income stream not a cost all
18:51you need is two members to sign up with
18:53your referral link or just automatically
18:56and now you're breaking even on on your
18:59school each month right
19:02so that's Auto affiliate with school you
19:05can also be a member of multiple groups
19:08with One login and one profile so right
19:13now I'm in we tube but I can just click
19:14this group switcher up here and switch
19:16to Quantum which is another one of my
19:18groups I can switch between my groups
19:20rapidly like this
19:23means that you only need one login for
19:25all of the different groups you're in I
19:28might be a student in one group learning
19:30how to play the guitar I might be
19:31learning about gardening in another
19:33group as a student
19:34I might be helping out my friend and
19:36their group on accounting and then I
19:38might host two of my own groups right so
19:41I might be an admin and some in a
19:43student in another and I can just switch
19:44between my groups rapidly like this
19:48with One login and one profile
19:51and your notifications here show for all
19:53the different groups you're in so you
19:55can see the different icons here they
19:57show
19:58what group these notifications are from
20:00so you only have one notification menu
20:03for all the groups and One login right
20:07we also have powerful settings
20:10so if I pop the hood on this group
20:14I can this is what the settings menu
20:16looks like
20:18so you can invite members via email or
20:21you can bulk invite members via
20:23uploading a CSV file or you can automate
20:26it with a web hook or you can share a
20:30link like that right
20:32so you can use the web hook to set this
20:36up with zapier or your CRM or something
20:38like that or your shopping cart so you
20:41can fully automate the onboarding
20:43process if you're migrating from another
20:45system you can just upload a CSV file or
20:49if you want to invite someone quickly
20:51you can just grab the link or invite
20:53them via email
20:55you can add your own custom artwork to
20:58your group
21:00you can add your description you can
21:02make it private or public
21:05inside the classroom you can add courses
21:08and edit your courses
21:10when you're editing a course it looks
21:11like this so you can have categories and
21:14modules you can simply drag and drop the
21:17order of all of these
21:19it's got to be one of the easiest
21:22like interfaces to use when it comes to
21:24making a course or editing a course and
21:27making it look good
21:29when you when it comes to adding events
21:32you can just add one like this you can
21:35make your events recur and you can
21:37automatically send event reminder emails
21:40to all of your members
21:42to increase your uh your attendance rate
21:46I've already shown you your metrics
21:47where you can see all of your all of
21:49your daily metrics and how many daily
21:52active users you've got things like that
21:53you can have your categories like this
21:57links
21:59roles
22:01and then your gamification settings
22:04and your billing and referral settings
22:06where you can
22:07copy your referral link and share it
22:09with people to earn 40 every month
22:12you can also see all of your referrals
22:14like this
22:15you can see how much money you've earned
22:17and who's in a free trial and things
22:19like that right
22:22so that is basically School
