0:01black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and
0:03that's taken the sport seriously you
0:05have to wearn your blue belt then your
0:06purple then your brown and finally get
0:08awarded the prestigious black belt which
0:09is a pretty big deal but there is a
0:12problem being a black belt doesn't pay
0:14the bills there are quite literally
0:16world champion black belts that still
0:18need to deliver food or do Uber driving
0:20just to make ends meet the sport does
0:23not pay well considering the sheer
0:24amount of commitment necessary to do
0:26well however for the first time in
0:28history some of the world's best digitsu
0:29AET will be fighting in Las Vegas for a
0:32million so how on Earth did this come to
0:35happen well let's rewind a bit so you
0:36can fully understand the story there is
0:38a competition called ADCC which is
0:41pretty much the World Cup of Brazilian
0:42jiu-jitsu however despite ADCC growing
0:45every 2 years to the point that they
0:47literally had to hire the T-Mobile Arena
0:49this year in Las Vegas fighter pay has
0:52stagnated and remained at $10,000 for
0:54the winner for most athletes this means
0:57should they not win they'll probably
0:58lose money to CGI where we're going to
1:01watch people scrap for a million dollars
1:03I can't wait bro so I met a few of the
1:05fighters in turkey and whatnot and we
1:07know most of them anyway so and they
1:09will do a lot for a million dollars so
1:11someone's definitely getting and Chris
1:12is learning Jiu-Jitsu today yeah there

3:04some criticisms were made publicly by a
3:06figure named Craig Jones who originates
3:08from Australia Craig has earned so many
3:10silver medals that he created a team
3:12called the B team and to quote Craig
3:14everyone's fighting for gold but if you
3:16set your sights on Silver there's no
3:18other real competition Craig noted that
3:20ADCC had splashed out a lot of cash on
3:22production venue and Pyro and when he
3:25criticized the lack of fighter pay the
3:27organizers I quote said why don't you
3:29raise $2 million into do your own
3:31[ __ ] event and that's exactly what

4:06didn't just raise $2 million to run the
4:08event he raised it to pay two division
4:10Champions Under and Over 80 kg $1
4:13million in cash for each winner not only
4:16that each athlete that took part in the
4:18cji Craig Jones Invitational would get
4:20$10,000 one just to turn up $1 more than
4:24they would have got if they won ADCC so
4:26with 70 days notice Craig and Seth his
4:29business partner put together the
4:30world's highest pay and grappling event
4:31in history in a venue just 2 miles away
4:35on the very same weekend when I found
4:38out about this as a lover of the sport
4:40myself and someone who competes the best
4:42they can I messaged Craig and I said I
4:44wanted in so I put forward $50,000 of my
4:47own cash to whoever could get the most
4:49exciting submission of the event it's a
4:51pretty bold move now I know some of you
4:53may have seen or heard that Chris
4:55Williamson and I put together our drink
4:56called new tonic and I know we both got
4:58a bit of [ __ ] for selling out but look
5:01it's a truly awesome product and if
5:02you're in America or the UK I want you
5:04to consider at least buying a case as
5:06the company grows it's only going to
