0:00Imagine
0:03a world where people sell sweets online
0:06and that they lie to their customers by
0:08telling them that they have creatine
0:10inside them. Imagine that they make
0:12millions of dollars doing this. They
0:14completely get away with it whilst
0:15fooling their audiences. 5 g of
0:17creatine. 5 g of creatine. You get 5 g
0:20of creatine. 2 months ago, I unveiled a
0:22multi-million pound scam including
0:24creatine gummies. I didn't think the
0:26situation could get worse. But it's not
0:28just worse. is it's bad. For those of
0:31you that didn't watch the last video,
0:32creatine has many benefits. The best
0:34science seems to say that you probably
0:35gained something around 2 to three extra
0:37pounds or 1 to 1.5 extra kilos of lean
0:40mass. Creatine can also help you build
0:42muscle about 1/3 faster. So, if it would
0:44have taken you 5 months to add 5 lbs of
0:46muscle before, creatine could help you
0:47do it in 3 1/2 months instead. 5 g of
0:50creatine monohydrate every day, and
0:52timing doesn't matter, is going to sort
0:54you out. Administering 5 g of creatine
0:56every day to a lot of people is just too
0:57much. To some people, they would much
0:59rather have a delicious gummy to get
1:01their creatine quot. And then instead of
1:03having to carry around a bag of white
1:04powder that you can mix in with water
1:06and drink it, you could just eat sweets
1:08every day and it would be beneficial to
1:09your health and your composition. I get
1:10it. There are even more companies making
1:12millions of pounds. And what they don't
1:14realize is I've tested them all. We're
1:16going to look at how much creatine is
1:17really in each brand's gummies compared
1:19to what their claims are. We're going to
1:20look at falsified claims that some of
1:22these businesses are making. But before
1:24we get into it, we just need to ask
1:25ourselves a question. Is it actually
1:27possible to get the amount of creatine
1:28that you need on a daily basis into nice
1:30tasting gummies that people can take? As
1:33the popularity of creatine gummies
1:34increases, whether it's through Amazon
1:36or Tik Tok shop, I'm going to get to the
1:38bottom of whether or not these creatine
1:40gummies actually have any creatine in
1:42them. So, today these are going to be
1:43sent off to the lab for testing. $300 a
1:45pop. Good. $300 ago. US
1:50things I do for the people. Making
1:51videos like this comes with legal
1:53repercussions. I've been sued,
1:55threatened with legal. It comes with the
1:56territory of calling out BS. So, I
1:58thought I'd just remind some of the
1:59businesses that I'm going to be
2:00mentioning in this video. If you wish to
2:02take me to court, fine. I'll be bringing
2:04the urins test with me. And I've got
2:05stockpiles of stock of your products,
2:08which I'll happily bring to court as
2:09well. Any of you that threatened me with
2:10legal or cease and desists, they're
2:12probably going to find their way to my
2:13Instagram story pretty fast. So, let the
2:15games begin. Now, just before we get
2:17into the results, that previous company,
2:18Overload, who even put out a statement
2:20saying that they were going to
2:21investigate what exactly had happened
2:23with their gummies, you would at least
2:25think that their last batch of the
2:26Cherry Cola gummies would contain
2:28creatine. So, not only did I test the
2:29Cherry-Cola flavor once, I tested it
2:31twice. And both times, little to no
2:33creatine found. Now, I'm not sure if you
2:35believe in coincidences, but another
2:37brand cropped up a few days after my
2:39last video and started running paid ads
2:41all across America. Conveniently, these
2:43paid ads weren't put across my two
2:45biggest territories of following, being
2:46Australia and the United Kingdom. The
2:48brand changed its name, and of course,
2:50I've ordered some of those, too, and
2:52they will be going off to testing. Now,
2:54the packaging has changed. The branding
2:55is very similar, but what leads me to
2:57believe that this could be the same
2:58company is they've conveniently made the
3:00same spelling mistakes in the same area
3:02of the product. And although I don't
3:03have the results on those gummies just
3:05yet, I can't help but think that I've
3:06been shortchanged with the amount of
3:08gummies purported on the side of the
3:09packet. And for any of those companies
3:11in question, if you rebrand or pop up as
3:13another convenient business within a few
3:15days, it's not very hard to find this to
3:17track this and to see your adverts. Now,
3:19there is some positive news. There are
3:21some companies that are legitimate that
3:23do have the right amount of creatine in
3:25their gummies. So, why don't we get into
3:26the results? We are kicking things off
3:28with my good friends overload. The
3:30cherry cola fan favorite anticipated
3:33sample weight 3 gin monohydrate 0.019
3:370.19, less than 2% of the required
3:40amount, which is fine. All you need to
3:42do is take 50 servings, which would be
3:44well over 100 gummies to get your RDA of
3:46creatine for the day. It's not looking
3:48good, brav. But James, what if you got a
3:50bad? Don't worry, we tested them twice.
3:53What about this batch? Any better?
3:55Again, delivering less than 2% of the
3:57claimed creatine. Enter into the mix,
4:00Gaines Nutrition Blue Raspberry Flavor.
4:02It contains barely 1% of what's claimed.
4:05Even worse than the other two you
4:06tested. Unique physique creatine
4:09gummies. Strawberry. It's about the same
4:11here. It's what Overload said. Less than
4:132% creatine. Create blue raspberry
4:16flavor. It's nice to see an actual
4:19walop. Three gummies contains 3.25
4:22creatine. Now, some of you may notice
4:24there's another thing here called
4:25creatinine, which sometimes creatine can
4:27be converted into. Unfortunately, that
4:29means it's of no use. Yeah, it's a waste
4:32byproduct that forms when creatine
4:33breaks down. So in some cases, if we're
4:36seeing slightly less creatine and more
4:38creatinine, it just means that we're
4:40experiencing a bit of wastage. There
4:41could have been more creatine in there
4:43in the beginning. I tell you what's
4:44interesting. Every time we Google a
4:46creatine gummy brand, you'll notice that
4:48there's this brand here called Push.
4:50They seem to be very pushy with their
4:52paid ads, don't they? Create here claim
4:55each gummy contains 1.5 grams of
4:57creatine.
4:58Nearly just over one gram per gummy, but
5:01it's better than everywhere else. Here
5:03we have Wellboost creatine gummies,
5:05strawberry banana. Again, when I Google
5:07this company, it just seems that this
5:09company called Push, which are probably
5:11the most popular creatine gummy brand in
5:13Australia and New Zealand. And Well
5:15Boost, let's just say that your branding
5:18is a bit mad. Your gummies don't look
5:20too appealing. He is on steroids 100%,
5:25but you contain creatine. Fair play.
5:28Nice to see a serving size above the 5
5:30g. The elixir, the efficacious amount of
5:34creatine necessary for the gains. My
5:36vitamins creatine gummies lemon flavor.
5:39Again, that brand called push. 3 g of
5:42creatine per serving. And you know what?
5:44Fair play. You're not lying. Ronil does
5:47what it says on the tin. Probably that
5:49little.5 was broken down into
5:51creatinine, but we'll take it. Since we
5:53started this project, Push Gummies very
5:55conveniently put up something on their
5:56Facebook talking about how push gummies
5:58are tested. Testing is a top priority
6:00for us. We're committed to delivering
6:02the highest quality gummies possible.
6:03Great. This is the interesting part. For
6:05creatine content, we test with the
6:06worldleading facility, Europins, which
6:08is who I've tested your gummies with.
6:10And Europins has developed the modified
6:12USP creatine monograph. Specifically for
6:15pectin based gummies. Cool. Pectin based
6:18gummies are your vegan types of gummies.
6:20And we'll get into that in a second. and
6:21the importance. You say here that every
6:23batch of push gummies has consistently
6:25met or slightly exceeded the intended
6:27creatine dose. We're fully transparent
6:29with our results and publish each batch
6:31report on the testing website. This is
6:33where things get interesting. It's
6:34important to note that standard creatine
6:36tests were originally developed for
6:37powders and biological tissues. So,
6:39you're saying these methods aren't
6:40suitable for pectin based gummies and
6:42may inaccurately show no creatine
6:44present. So, this is where things get
6:46interesting. I think and assume that you
6:48are trying to deflect allegations here
6:50and I'll explain why. First of all, a
6:52few of your reports that you put on your
6:54website have redacted QR codes. And as
6:56we saw from the previous video, these
6:57forms when you share them must be shown
6:59in their entirety for them to be valid.
7:01Not only that, you're saying that you
7:03use a certain way of testing because
7:04other tests are inaccurate, but several
7:07of the other brands in which I tested
7:09also use pectin. The same thing that
7:12you're saying interferes with the
7:13detection of creatine. If the testing
7:15method was inconsistent, why is it that
7:18other brands with pectin based gummies
7:21the same as your own showed very clearly
7:23and evident that there was creatine in
7:25the gummies? Why is it that when
7:27creatine is in another brand's pectin
7:28gummy, we can detect it using our method
7:30of testing, but when we tested yours, we
7:32can't. I've leazed with some other
7:34people conducting these same tests. And
7:36we're using a method called HPCL, and
7:38the other people in question are using
7:40one called UPCL, high pressure and ultra
7:42high pressure. Now, I will admit between
7:44our testing and their testing, we both
7:47identify relatively small discrepancies
7:49in the amount of creatine detected in
7:50each gummy, but it's clear as day and
7:52consistent across all the data we have
7:54that we can determine very easily
7:56whether or not there is creatine inside
7:58a gummy or there isn't. Even if this
8:01method of detecting creatine was
8:02inaccurate, how do you explain that
8:04other pectin gummies show up very
8:06clearly, very close to the amounts that
8:08they purport, why yours wouldn't show
8:10any, and why consistently across data,
8:12it is very apparent there is less than
8:142% of creatine in a gummy or nearly
8:16100%. I would agree that between
8:18different testing methods, the exact
8:20amount of creatine would vary, but I
8:22completely disagree that a creatine
8:23gummy with the right amount of creatine
8:25in it would show as undetected. So push
8:27gummies out there, if you're watching
8:29this, I ask you to publicly explain that
8:31to me and everyone else that's buying
8:33your product. If this certain type of
8:35testing does not work with pectin based
8:38creatine gummies, then why is it we were
8:40able to detect creatine in the other
8:42pectin based gummies incredibly easily
8:45using the method you state that doesn't
8:46work? Let's get back into it. Now, the
8:48issue that I have with push is my MS
8:51bought your gummies. She liked your
8:52branding. She got slammed with your paid
8:54ads. My Mrs.'s friends have been buying
8:56your gummies, been smashed with your
8:58paid ads. A lot of people I know,
9:00family, friends have been taking push
9:02gummies. It would be very disappointing
9:05if these didn't contain the amount you
9:06needed. Creatine monohydrate is
9:08delicious, convenient gummies,
9:09sugar-free, gluten-free, and vegan.
9:11Enjoy three gummies a day at any time,
9:13every day. Each bag contains 90 gummies,
9:15which is a 1 month supply of 5 g of
9:17creatine per day. Is it? Let's start
9:19with the strawberry flavor. Less than
9:212.3%.
9:23These are $60 a bag. $60 a bag. What
9:27about your apple flavor? Less than 2.5%.
9:30Now, there's an issue here. You either
9:32know or you don't know. And I'm not sure
9:34which scenario is worse because you
9:36either knowingly are selling sweets with
9:38insane markups or you don't know and
9:41you've not done the due diligence
9:43necessary on your providers, on your
9:44manufacturers. Some of you might
9:45remember that when we did the overload
9:47video a few months ago, there was a
9:48company called No Nutrition that went
9:49public and they had done their own
9:50testing. Well, I went to test the people
9:52that did the testing because sometimes
9:54whoever smelt it dealt it and whoever
9:56said the rhyme did the crime. No
9:58nutrition. Creatine gummies, peach
10:00flavor. 3,400 mg creatine monohydrate.
10:03And the survey says 3.23. And you know
10:06what? To me, that's okay. No nutrition
10:09coming in with the legitness. It's what
10:12we like to see. It's just very, very
10:14interesting. Everyone should proceed
10:16with caution online for something too
10:18good to be true. So, as we can see, this
10:20is the issue. So, supplement creatine
10:22gummies, blueberry flavor. As we can see
10:24here, there's no bloody creatine in
10:26them. Sales data says quarter of a
10:29million pounds this month. Jesus, that's
10:34that's crazy. Unique physique creatine
10:36gummies, £104,000 £104,000
10:41on a product that doesn't contain
10:43anywhere near the amount of creatine
10:45it's supposed to. That's a lot of money
10:47in recurring revenue for products that
10:49according to the testing don't have any
10:51creatine in them. I tell you what's
10:53worrying is there's even a brand of
10:55creatine gummies here that I've bought
10:57that I can't even see online. It's like
11:00who's whose are these? I've been eating
11:02them and there's not even a company name
11:04on there. What have I been putting in my
11:05body? You could just put things in a tub
11:07and sell them online. Mad. So, summarize
11:09we're going to take the brands and we're
11:10going to explain whether or not they
11:11contain creatine in the gummies or not.
11:13Let's for argument sake say for anything
11:15less than 0.2 gram of creatine we'll say
11:18non-detectable overload claimed 4 and a
11:20half grams they had 0.0849
11:23g non-detectable gains nutrition 3 g
11:27they claimed 0.0473
11:30g result not detectable unique physique
11:33claimed 5 g 0.0932
11:37gram result was non-detectable create 4
11:40and a half grams claimed 3.25 25 g, 72%.
11:44Well, Boost claimed 5 g and they had
11:465.55 g, so they had 111%. Supplement
11:50claimed 5 g, 0.125 g, less than 2.5%.
11:55Result, non-detectable. My vitamins
11:57claimed 3 g, they're 2.59, 86%, no
12:01nutrition, claimed 3 g, and they're 2.84
12:04g, which is 95%. So for those two that
12:07are at that 95 86% we can maybe give it
12:10a little bit of a benefit of the doubt.
12:11Look at the testing maybe not being 100%
12:13accurate. That's got creatine in push
12:15strawberry claimed 5 g 0.102 g less than
12:192% result non-detectable. Push apple
12:22flavored claimed 5 g 0.122 g less than
12:262.2% result not detectable. It's very
12:29clear looking at this data. You can see
12:31when something has creatine you can see
12:33when something doesn't have creatine.
12:35Now, as I've said before, there's two
12:36scenarios. Either the people selling
12:38these gummies know that there's no
12:40creatine in them, and I don't need to
12:41say that that is a terrible thing. But
12:43the alternative scenario, where they
12:45have no idea there's no creatine in
12:47their product, is equally just as bad.
12:49From my own personal experiences,
12:52taking creatine gummies, I've come to
12:54determine one thing.
12:56If there is 5 g of creatine powder
12:59inside the gummies, you can usually
13:01taste it and feel the slight grittiness
13:03in it. But as for these and a few of the
13:06other brands that we've tasted, that
13:08doesn't taste like creatine. That tastes
13:10like a massive waste of money. The most
13:13expensive sweets I've ever
