0:08Fantasy focus. [music]

0:12>> What's up, friends? Welcome into fantasy

0:15focus football alongside Field Yates and

0:17Mike Clay. You guys know what day it is.

0:19Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike.

0:20Mike. You know what day it is?

0:22>> Day.

0:23>> Well executed by this movie.

0:25>> We did not even plan that. I'm glad that

0:27you knew.

0:27>> I know it is. No fool. You're no fool.

0:30>> It just It's interesting though because

0:32you may have noticed that Daniel tried

0:34to tease something hilarious and funny

0:35up to Mike and Mike indulged him and

0:37played along with the bit.

0:38>> He did.

0:39>> Meanwhile, I tried to do things to kind

0:40of peique Mike's interest a little bit.

0:42Get him going.

0:43>> Maybe draw some energy out of Mike Clay

0:45and he Eores me.

0:47>> That does happen.

0:48>> What? What?

0:48>> You eore me.

0:49>> Eeyore. Do you know who Eeyore is?

0:51>> Just like that was a joke.

0:53>> Oh. Oh, got it. Oh, that was the joke.

0:55>> Nailed it. All right. You know what they

0:57say when you have to explain the joke.

0:58Yeah, [laughter]

0:59>> perfect joke.

1:00>> We're very excited to have Field back.

1:02Obviously spent a little bit of time

1:03yesterday in Miami, then flew up really

1:05quickly to the Cape Cod and then

1:07finished out with dinner in Jackson Hole

1:08before making his way back here. Little

1:11Tanner.

1:11>> Do you guys see it on the watch tan?

1:12>> Yeah, I can see it. I can see it.

1:13>> Watch tan is prevalent today. That Miami

1:15sun in September

1:17>> does not skip a beat.

1:18>> Does not at all. You know what else

1:20doesn't skip a beat? This show right

1:21now. As we dive into all the fun stuff

1:24that we're going to get into today,

1:25we're going to pay off everything that

1:26was week one really quickly with the

1:28starts of the week. Normally, we would

1:29do that yesterday, but because Field

1:30wasn't here, we wanted to wait and do it

1:31today.

1:32>> Yeah, we did do the uh knockout league,

1:34though, and the team got chopped

1:36obviously, so we just don't worry about

1:38it. We don't have to talk about it

1:39anymore. That's funny because yeah, they

1:41don't see it that way, but

1:42>> yeah, we got week two rankings as well

1:43and some random rankings. We got a loser

1:45punishment as well that Field is going

1:47to spin the wheel on. But first and

1:48foremost, guys, let's start with the

1:49starts of the week really quickly. We'll

1:51close out all the things that was week

1:53one. By the way, for our production team

1:54up there, just so you guys can have a

Starts of the Week from Week 1

1:56little peek behind the curtain. We got

1:57no monitors in here today.

1:58>> We cannot see our start to the week. I

1:59think Field pulled some plugs out. So

2:02that's what happened. My team actually,

2:04you know what I I felt at the end of

2:06Sunday night. I was like, "Okay, that

2:08team was really bad. My starts of the

2:10week team. It wasn't bad, but I mean it

2:12was the worst out of the three of us,

2:13but it was a little closer than I

2:14thought it was going to be."

2:15>> Agreed.

2:16>> Yeah. He's like, "I was really bad, but

2:17actually you guys were bad. Pretty bad."

2:19No. No. You know, I forgot that I had

2:20Bree [laughter] Hall. That was the thing

2:21is I forgot that I had Bree Hall. So, I

2:23had two respectable picks. An okay pick

2:24and the worst pick of the week by far.

2:26The worst pick of the season.

2:27>> Mine were okay. I'm pretty I mean,

2:28Herbert underperformed, but Javvante and

2:30Above went off. Mayor nine points from a

2:32tight end is fine. It's not great, but

2:34it's fine. So, I'm okay with it.

2:36>> All right. So, you end up with 74.86

2:38points.

2:38>> Yep.

2:39>> Daniel with Dak Prescott, Travis Han,

2:42Lad McConi, Trevor H. Travis Han, sorry,

2:45and Jawan Johnson all scored at least

2:4714.4 Four fantasy,

2:49>> you go for 62.8.

2:51>> Y

2:52>> I go with Jackson Dart. Thank you,

2:53Jackson.

2:54>> Reese Hall

2:55>> also did great.

2:56>> T McMillan and a half points

2:58>> and Coulson Loveland.

2:59>> You know what sucks about this is you

3:01get to use these players one time the

3:04entire season and Coulson Lovelin gave

3:06you a zero.

3:08>> The amazing part is basically so again

3:10there's only three of us picking and

3:11once you guys make your choice at tight

3:12end, quarterback or running back y I can

3:15just wait and be patient. Mhm. So, in

3:17the third round, I had a tight end and I

3:19believe a running back left over to take

3:21and I was like, "Well, I'm not going to

3:22take a tight end because you guys

3:24already have. I'll just save Coloulston

3:26Lovelin for my final pick." I did that

3:28and that's what you get for waiting. I

3:30got zero points. So,

3:32>> do I get to spin the punishment?

3:34>> You bet. We all We said the entire

3:36draft.

3:36>> I'll come over there.

3:37>> All right. See it from there.

3:38>> Don't wait on tight end. I'll switch.

3:40We'll do this

3:42>> in between us. Okay. They want it in

3:43between. So, you sit down.

3:44>> I'm going to bring it over. Hold on.

3:46It's all right. We know what we're

3:46doing.

3:47>> It's week one.

3:47>> A strict you break it, you pay for it in

3:50the studio. So if you

3:51>> We need a better plan for this next

3:52week.

3:53>> All right.

3:53>> Here we go.

3:54>> Here we go. Just a quick reminder. Baby

Field spins the punishment wheel

3:56food taste test. Safe smelling salts.

3:58Chat's choice beer mile. Super sour

4:00starts of the week. Tik Tok dance trend.

4:02Temporary neck tattoo. Fantasy poetry

4:04slam. Double punishment. Winner's

4:06choice. Wax a leg. Wear Fields Bucky

4:10suit. That's not even a punishment. You

4:11do that at home for fun anyways. All

4:13right. And then everyone loses. Fields.

4:14You go ahead. And there there's there's

4:16at least one of these we kind of have to

4:17run by the powers that be. So if you get

4:19it, we'll discuss it. But anyways, here

4:20we go. Without further ado,

4:24>> already spinning spinning spinning and

4:26we're getting TO

4:30>> NO WAY. NO.

4:31>> WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

4:32>> NO WAY. THAT IS HILARIOUS. YOU

4:34>> got to be kidding me.

4:35>> Oh my god.

4:35>> I DON'T LIKE IT.

4:36>> I should be exempt cuz I was first.

4:37>> You That's not the That's exempt.

4:39>> So what happens? Everyone loses and

4:42whatever I get, we all have to do it

4:44together. Oh my god. I am sorry guys.

4:47>> THANKS A LOT.

4:48>> FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

4:50>> Thank you Coloulston Lovelin for this.

4:53>> What a right there.

4:55>> Can't believe this is week one

4:57>> again. [screaming]

4:58[laughter]

4:59OKAY, hold on. At this point, we got to

5:01We're done, right? We're done. We're

5:02good.

5:02>> What does that mean? They cancel each

5:03other out. We'll do one more.

5:04>> That's right. One last time. Oh my.

5:06>> If it goes again, then we are not We are

5:08not

5:09>> Yeah. Spin the wheel. Come on.

5:10>> Do we have like a weight that's allowing

5:12it to stop when everybody loses?

5:13>> I wish that would be the back sign. I

5:15want everyone.

5:16>> Oh, we're not. There's not one back

5:17there.

5:19>> Temporary neck tattoo for field. You're

5:22going to look so sick with a temporary

5:23neck tattoo.

5:24>> We're all going to have temporary neck

5:25tattoos, though, Daniel.

5:26>> Oh, you forgot already.

5:28>> I forgot already.

5:29>> Um, all right. All right, moving on.

5:30>> Temporary neck tattoos will be applied.

5:32We We can decide what day we want to do

5:34them. I I would say preferably not

5:36tomorrow. I got to do TV all day.

5:37[laughter]

5:38>> No, that's fair. are definitely down

5:40tomorrow.

5:41>> Uh we'll talk about this maybe on

5:42Friday. And uh

5:44>> I like that.

5:44>> We got to we got to get like I want

5:46bulky neck tattoos.

5:47>> We got to think about we said Cody Rhod

5:49style neck. We actually could probably

5:50on Amazon get tatto.

5:53>> Yeah,

5:53>> I wouldn't be shocked if we could go on

5:55Amazon and find some Mike Wright tattoos

5:56as well. You know, our buddy from the

5:58footballers cuz he's got some neck

5:59tattoos as well.

6:00>> All right, let's let's dive in here

6:01really quickly. Um Field, you sent out a

Week 1 "Stinks of the Week"

6:04tweet.

6:05>> Yeah, I'm asking this every week.

6:06>> Best worst teams of the week. Yeah. So,

6:09uh, does your team absolutely stink in

6:10week one? First of all, you're not

6:11alone. My Stars of the Week team

6:13definitely stinkked. Definitely

6:14stinkked.

6:14>> Mike's knockout team stunk.

6:16>> That one was bad.

6:17>> But I wanted to see like I I wanted to

6:18get some of the best worst fantasy teams

6:21of the week. And I want to try to do

6:22this each and every week because

6:24>> I I I know that we play this game, we

6:26look forward to it all year, but one bad

6:28week completely change your stance on

6:30playing fantasy football. If you're

6:31thinking about retirement after week one

6:33because of the lineup you put up, just I

6:35want you all to know this is a safe

6:36space. You're not alone. So, let's go

6:38ahead and run a couple of the lineups

6:40from week one. These are real actual

6:42lineups. Now, this is a nonPPR league.

6:44So, let me start here. I'm going to read

6:46the first team. Bo Nicks, Devon Achan,

6:49Rico Dael, Saquon Barkley, Devon uh

6:52Devonte Adams, Ted McMillan, Mark

6:54Andrews, the Patriots defense, and

6:57Cameron Dicker, which meant the high

6:58score of that team was on the bench.

7:01Well, J Daniels on [laughter] the bench,

7:02but the high score of the player that

7:04actually participated in the game was

7:06Devon A.

7:06>> Oh, Saquin had eight, but I'm sorry. Not

7:09by much though.

7:10>> And then on the other side, another

7:11person won a matchup with this team.

7:14Drake May, Jadarian Price, Jonathan

7:16Brooks, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jamar

7:19Chase, Drake London, Trey McBride, the

7:21Texans defense, and Harrison Meas who

7:24got one point on one extra point.

7:26>> Thank goodness for Trey McBride.32 to

7:2842.14.

7:31knockout team. Awful.

7:32>> Awful right there. And that's in a three

7:34receiver league. That is not in a two

7:36wide receiver league.

7:37>> So, shout out to that person who won.

7:40Uh, but barely. Here's another bad one.

7:42And this, uh, is once again, uh, I think

7:45this one actually is PPR. Uh, no, it's

7:47not. I take that back. Sorry. Um, I

7:48actually don't know what kind of scoring

7:50this is because it's kind of funky.

7:51>> Half it looks like it's half point, I

7:52think.

7:52>> Yes, there you go. Half PPR. Good call,

7:54Mike. Here we go. Uh Drake May, James

7:57Cook, Jadarium Price, Devonte Smith, Ted

8:00Ro McMillan, Tucker Craft, Saquon

8:02Barkley, the Rams defense, and Chase

8:04Mclofflin who got to 11 points. He was

8:06the best player on your team. White Sox

8:08fan Michael. At least the White Sox are

8:10pretty good this year. They're going to

8:10make the playoffs if I had to guess. Um

8:13last one postseason baseball.

8:15>> Bob Harard. This is the last one here.

8:18Uh and this one is again non-Pr. A lot

8:20of these scores are low. It's because

8:21they're non-Pr. We're taking PPR

8:23submissions as well. But Bo Nicks, James

8:25Cook, Travis Han, Jackson Smith and

8:28Jigba, Jameson Williams, Tucker Craft,

8:30Rashi Rice, Jaylen Waddle. You're

8:32probably thinking going into this week,

8:33I got Jackson Smith and Jigba with 18.2.

8:36We're cooking right here. Uh, not so

8:38fast, my friends. So, uh, 58.44 points.

8:42We'll take a look at more nonPPR

8:44submissions going forward, but man,

8:46alive. This game is the greatest thing

8:47ever, and it can agonize you to no end.

8:50And by the way, the guy who that team,

8:52the one that you just said put up 58

8:53points and lost by about 50 points in

8:55week one, the defending champion of his

8:57league. So it shows you things can

8:59change quickly. That guy obviously knows

9:01what he's doing. Um our friend uh JJ

9:03Zachary today posted a graphic or it

9:05might have been last night showing the

9:07correlation between where guys are after

9:10week one and where they are by the end

9:12of the season at each position like in

9:14terms of fantasy performance. And

9:15there's almost no correlation. Week one

9:17can to be chaos, right? Don't overthink

9:20week one very much. You know, it's we're

9:22just looking forward.

9:23>> There's a long way to go here.

9:24>> Well, if you do that, congratulations

9:26because that makes you different than me

9:27cuz I've been overthinking week one

9:29since Monday Night Football.

9:30>> I I did everything perfect process.

9:32>> Not me. Let's dive into our week two

Week 2 Rankings

9:34rankings where we're not overthinking it

9:36or overreacting to all the things that

9:38happened in week one. We'll start at the

9:39quarterback position, my friends.

9:41>> Do it.

9:41>> Quarterbacks that we got here for the

9:43top 10 in week two. We got Josh Allen.

9:46Surprisingly a QB1. Everyone has them

9:48there this year.

9:48>> Yeah. Weird.

9:49>> Lamar Jackson, Brock Pury, Jaylen Herz,

9:51Dak Prescott, then Caleb Williams, Jaden

9:53Daniels, Justin Herbert at QB8, Jackson

9:56Dart at nine, and Patrick Mahomes rounds

9:58out the top 10, my friends.

10:00>> Yeah.

10:00>> What do you notice about this list,

10:02Mike? Anything stand out to you?

10:03>> Yeah, something very much stands out. A

10:05guy that's usually maybe

10:07>> eighth through 12th in the rankings,

10:09maybe sometimes a little lower. Sitting

10:11at QB3.

10:12>> Yeah.

10:12>> This week in pretty good. I wonder why,

10:15guys.

10:15>> Uh I have an idea. I have an idea.

10:17>> Yeah,

10:18>> Miami switch defenses with the Big 12

10:20this off.

10:20>> That's what it is.

10:21>> Yeah, everyone loves Miami is what it

10:23sounds like.

10:24>> Yes,

10:24>> rough work in progress there for Miami

10:27on both sides of the football. Um, but

10:28yeah, Brock Party is the guy I want to

Brock Purdy

10:30highlight here for obvious reasons. I

10:32mean, if you drafted him, you got him

10:33pretty cheap and you felt like he was

10:35probably going to be a streaming option.

10:36Maybe he'd slide in there as your your

10:38QB1 if he's the best guy you pick. But,

10:41um, he stands out as a mustard, a lineup

10:43lock here again at home against the

10:44Miami Dolphins. first of all looked

10:46really good in the opener. He was

10:48fantastic in that game. 25 of 34, 205

10:51yards, three touchdowns, had the one

10:53pick, but also 29 rushing yards, which

10:55is something that he kind of quietly

10:57does. You don't hear much about it, but

10:58he can add value with those legs and did

11:00that in week number one. Brock Pury has

11:04one of the best floors in fantasy at

11:07quarterback right now. 16.8 plus fantasy

11:09points. Now, in 17 of his last 22 games,

11:12he's averaging 18.6 per game during that

11:14stretch. And again, we just watched

11:16Miami give up three passing touchdowns

11:18to Kirk Cousins in week one. Y uh this

11:20should be a an easy game for the 49ers,

11:23especially on offense

11:24>> with start. Yeah.

11:25>> Yeah. What about Justin Herbert, guys?

11:27Can we talk about this kid because we

11:29had high expectations coming in. I'm

11:31worried if it doesn't get going here

11:33already in week two, we might be out on

11:36Justin Herbert.

11:37>> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. There's a

11:39reason why.

Justin Herbert

11:40>> Yes, there's a reason why. Let's just

11:42we'll talk about this week for right now

11:43first, but like taking on the the Las

11:45Vegas Raiders, they were just so bad in

11:47week one against the Cardinals

11:50>> at home. I'm aware, Dan,

11:51>> guys,

11:52>> 209 passing yards, one touchdown. I do

11:55love that he had 29 yards on the ground,

11:57but only 13.2 fantasy points against

11:59this Raiders squad.

12:01>> We need to see what we expected in week

12:03one because if we don't, when you look

12:05at the schedule coming up, and we'll

12:07throw up a full screen about this. If

12:09you look at the schedule coming up for

12:10Justin Herbert, if he does not get

12:11rolling against Las Vegas, we might be

12:13out on him as a starter. Then he goes at

12:15Buffalo across the country, at Seattle,

12:18then Denver, then at Kansas City,

12:21>> then a buy, then at LA, then the Texans,

12:25and then he's at Baltimore.

12:27>> I mean, the Jets and the P. If this gets

12:29really tough, he needs to get on a roll

12:32now in this game because I don't think

12:34if he doesn't get it rolling before we

12:36get into that meat of the schedule,

12:38we're going to have a hard time having

12:39Justin Herbert as a top 10 quarterback.

12:41>> We're going to downgrade him for matchup

12:43in almost every single one of those

12:44situations. So, he needs to be playing

12:46at like a top five elite level because

12:48if you factor in the matchup just to

12:49consider starting him as a top 10 or top

12:5112 option, he's has to be playing at

12:53that elite level. We are buying in one

12:55more week as a top 10 guy because of all

12:57the stuff that we thought we were going

12:58to see last week. We just we have to see

13:00it against the Raiders. Otherwise, we'll

13:02be singing a different tune about Justin

13:04Herbert.

13:04>> Yeah, Buffalo week three. I think they

13:05can move the football in the game. Jared

13:07Goff and move the football tomorrow

13:09night as well. But yeah, I hear you.

13:10Listen, this one's tough for me to uh to

13:12discuss at this moment. I'm very

13:13frustrated by how the Chargers performed

13:14me too in week one. I think we all are.

13:16But I was especially confident in this

13:18group coming into the season. I did tell

13:20a funny story before the show. Uh on

13:22Fantasy Focus Countdown on Sunday, we

13:23did an eliminator segment. Yes. Where we

13:25all made our picks. There was four of us

13:27in total and I was very very I was I

13:29thought Joe Forinb was playing with fire

13:31by picking the Raiders and Joe who of

13:33course betting guy and kind of knows

13:35playing the long game how important that

13:37can be. Was like this is your one chance

13:38to bet on pick the Raiders do it and run

13:41the risk. He wins. I lose because I

13:44picked the Chargers and I was brazen

13:45with my confidence. Um, I do, of course,

13:48I I put my money where my mouth is and I

13:50make my picks and I was telling the guys

13:52this morning that I got a reminder to

13:54make my pick for week two and eliminator

13:55challenge.

13:56>> Okay.

13:56>> I'm like, what the crap is this? Like,

13:58am I going to have to get reminded every

13:59week that I picked the freaking Chargers

14:00in week one? Like, is this taunting?

14:02Yeah, it is taunting. Tattoo on. I've

14:04got to pick the Chargers [laughter]

14:05again. No, it turns out I I don't know

14:09if I accidentally did this or if I was

14:11hedging against my own confidence,

14:13[laughter] but I went in there and

14:14checked and I picked the Jaguars in week

14:16one. Love it.

14:16>> SO, I'M STILL ALIVE, BABY.

14:18>> NOT ALIVE IN THE COURT of public opinion

14:20because people were like, "What a trash

14:21pick that was."

14:22>> That's okay.

14:22>> That being said, I am alive in the

14:24eliminator league. So, that's good news.

14:26And I am picking the Buccaneers this

14:27weekend over the Browns. Field Yates

14:29does not put his money where his mouth

14:30is. Well, I didn't in this case by

14:32accident and I'm not mad about it. uh my

14:34quarterback pick and the theme for four

14:36out of my five picks with the reminder

14:38that QB and tight end are both inside

14:40the top 10. Yep.

14:41>> And then wide receiver and running back

14:43are both inside the top 20.

Caleb Williams

14:45>> My general theme for four out of my five

14:47picks is guys who matched in week one

14:51>> with an opportunity to kind of further

14:53cement themselves in week two, right?

14:55Not guys, not that Brock Party is Josh

14:57Allen, but there's a longer stretch of

14:59Brock Party being a pretty good fantasy

15:01quarterback than there is in the case of

15:03my quarterback pick, which is Caleb

15:04Williams, who Caleb Williams, you saw

15:08sixth in our ESPN consensus ranks this

15:10week. Was amazing. Highest scoring

15:12player in all fantasy in week one. The

15:14guy was lights out. He had his first

15:16career game with multiple rushing

15:18touchdowns. That's going to be hard to

15:19come by in general, but still an

15:21excellent feat for him. He averaged 9.3

15:24yards per attempt. So, he was aggressive

15:26as a runner. He was aggressive as a

15:28thrower. He completed 11 of 12 passes

15:31when throwing short of the sticks as

15:32well. Much more accurate, right? So,

15:34Caleb was hitting the throws he needed

15:36to hit, but he also was running. He also

15:38was afraid unafraid to take shots down

15:40the field when they were available. The

15:43reason why I think this game matters so

15:45much is he's not playing the Panthers

15:46again. Yes, he's instead playing the

15:47Vikings. And you may say, well, Jordan

15:49Love in the first half was lighting up

15:51the Vikings. And that's fair. That's

15:52sure that's accurate. He ended up

15:54completing 50% of his passes to Jordan

15:56Love. And Caleb Williams has played

15:58Minnesota four times in his career.

16:01>> Over his last three games, Caleb

16:03Williams, this is against Minnesota. He

16:05has attempted 98 passes. You would take

16:0833 pass attempts or, you know, 32 and a

16:11half passing attempts in any game.

16:13That's a good number for a quarterback

16:14in general. So in a good sample size on

16:16a per game basis, Caleb Williams over

16:18those last three games against the

16:19Vikings has two touchdown passes.

16:22>> Two. So Brian Flores, I think we would

16:24all agree amongst the best defensive

16:26minds in the NFL.

16:27>> I hate playing the Vikings defense.

16:29>> This is going to be a kitchen sink game.

16:30Have you guys seen all the charts that

16:32break down the blitz rate by defensive

16:34play callers from week one?

16:36>> Of course we have. Mike and I both we

16:37know.

16:37>> I mean, honestly, I mean Mike might have

16:39it in the database. Yeah. But anyways,

16:41if you go look, there's a bunch of

16:42charts that have made their way around

16:43the internet and basically it was like a

16:45lot of defensive coordinators throwing a

16:47comparable number of blitzes and then it

16:49was Brian Flores so far off the charts

16:50you couldn't see him. Like they blitzed

16:52on like 85% of Jordan Love's block

16:54dropbacks this past week. Now the

16:56Packers offensive line terrible. The

16:58Bears offensive line quite good. It'll

17:00be a different challenge for them. But

17:01if Caleb Williams comes out with 22

17:04fantasy points on Sunday against a Brian

17:06Flores defense, I think that the

17:08confidence level for Caleb Williams goes

17:10to the point where if he bubbles up as

17:12quarterback five in our rankings in week

17:13three, we don't talk about it. We're

17:15just like, "Yeah, all right, Caleb

17:16Williams, set it and forget it. He's a

17:17lineup lock in the playbook. Move on."

17:19>> If we get if we had 22 points in week

17:21two after what we saw in week one, I

17:23think top five basically rest of season

17:25until I am seeing something else with my

17:27eyes makes a ton of sense. I'm going

17:28with uh I'm going to try to avoid until

17:30we're at like week 10 like rest of

17:32season because it's like so much changes

17:34week

17:35>> if I rank Caleb number five overall

17:38amongst quarterbacks in week three. I'm

17:40not going to feel like I have to come to

17:41the show with an argument prepared for

17:43it. I'm going to be like, "Yeah, the guy

17:44>> I need to prove for two straight weeks,

17:46right?" So, huge weekend for Caleb

17:48Williams. Uh number six right now in

17:51ESPN consensus rank.

17:52>> Yeah, you guys are actually lower than

17:53me this week. So, I'm buying in uh on

17:56him. But you're right. This is a big

17:57test. Good. Great.

17:58>> Um, actually a note I my uh rankings I

18:00was having a little bit of an issue with

18:02the uh the rankings tool last night.

18:03Happens

18:04>> happens every once in a while. So we

18:06bumped up a little bit

18:07>> Wi-Fi, you know, on airplanes and at the

18:09beach as well.

18:10>> You weren't on United, were you?

18:11>> I was not on Sky.

18:14I needed to be on United. I flew Mike's

18:16jet and the air airplane Wi-Fi is not

18:18great.

18:18>> Oh, that's not good. I'll talk to my

18:20mobile about that.

18:21>> Yes. Yes, that's fair. All right, let's

18:23talk about running backs next, my

18:24friends. Top 20 running backs here in

18:26consensus for week two. Top three do not

18:30surprise Jir Gibbs. Actually the top

18:31five don't surprise. Jir Gibbs, Bjan

18:33Robinson, CMC, Jonathan Taylor and

18:35Ashton Genty 6 through10. Derrick Henry,

18:38Kenneth Walker the third after that

18:40major game. James Cook back in the top

18:4210. Javvante Williams and Saquon Barkley

18:4411 through 20. Devon Achan Omari and

18:47Hampton Bree Hall Chase Brown and

18:49DeAndre Swift with David Montgomery.

18:51Kyron Williams, Bucky Irving, Chuba

18:54Hubard, and Raandre Stevenson.

18:56>> Pretty good group.

18:57>> Yeah, pretty good group right there.

18:58>> Not too bad. Are you buying in, Mike? I

19:00saw that you wanted to talk about Chuba

19:01Hubard. Are you buying into this

19:03potentially being his backfield after

19:04week one? Do you think there's more in

Chuba Hubbard

19:06this tank? How do you feel about this

19:07kid?

19:08>> Uh, a lot of coaches and play callers

19:10kind of just told us what we needed to

19:12know in week one, whether it was

19:14splitting up the back field or leaning

19:16heavily on one running back. And

19:18Carolina told us what their plan is, at

19:20least for the short term. It's exactly

19:21what field he thought it was going to

19:22be. It's the Chuba Hubard show for sure.

19:25Played 69% of the snaps. Uh he did that

19:28once of all last season. I believe it

19:31was week two last year. So it was a

19:32little bit different in terms of usage.

19:34The snaps were 43 to 12 over Jonathan

19:37Brooks. He also outed him. Is that

19:39outed? Yeah. Out. Ran my rout.

19:41>> I said st earlier so out sounds Yeah.

19:44>> He ran 21 routes to Brooks's five. So,

19:48it wasn't even close in passing

19:49situations or even running the ball. I

19:51mean, it wasn't a high volume game

19:52because they were trailing throughout,

19:53but he still had 10 for 49 in a

19:54touchdown. Targeted three times, had 38

19:57yards there, uh, and for a touchdown as

19:59well. Um, the only positives, we'll kind

20:02of see how good the Atlanta defense is

20:04against the run. It's too early to tell.

20:05I'm not too worried about it. They did

20:06hold the Steelers running backs in check

20:08last week, but um, I consider this a

20:11neutral matchup. maybe leans towards a

20:12good matchup, but the bottom line is the

20:14guy is probably going to play 65 70% of

20:17the snaps. And in this in this league,

20:19that's enough to be at least a fringe

20:21RB, too. So, he'll be he'll be in my

20:23lineups this week if I have him.

20:24>> Are you worried at all about what we've

20:26seen in the past from Tuba Harvard where

20:27this might be a really nice start to the

20:29season and then we haven't seen him keep

20:31the job necessarily?

20:32>> He did he did what, two years ago and

20:34three years ago. It was just last year

20:36that he got hurt and then he wasn't

20:38playing well. So,

20:39>> they want Jonathan Brooks to be the guy.

20:40I mean, they drafted at some point.

20:42>> I don't feel that way personally cuz I I

20:43I didn't feel that way coming into the

20:45season. So, I'm I'm okay with Chuba kind

20:46of like maintaining sort of like lowend

20:48RB2 flax value. Okay.

20:50>> Um I also would note that like when he

20:51did lose that job last year when he got

20:53hurt

20:53>> like Rico D didn't play like pretty good

20:56football. He played like best running

20:58back in NFL football for three weeks

21:00back. They didn't really have a choice,

21:02right? like it wasn't it was so good

21:04from him but they had no choice but to

21:06keep uh Rico Dao as the hot hand there

21:09for

21:09>> and that's kind of what they said too

21:11like they had Preston like look I mean

21:12what are you going to do what do you

21:13want us to do like we have to and then

21:15he did start to come back to earth and

21:16then Hubard started to play a little

21:18more down the stretch

21:19>> one dynamic I'm always thinking about

21:20early in the season in fantasy for

21:21backfields is if there are teams that

21:23aren't very good that we either know

21:25from the beginning or eventually show

21:27themselves to not be very good could a

21:29veteran be vulnerable to losing his role

21:32losing some of his role down the stretch

21:34to a young upandcomer. I don't think

21:36that's really in play here for Carolina

21:38because this division is so wide open.

21:40They won the division last year. That to

21:42me would be the clearest path for

21:44Jonathan Brooks to see his role expand

21:46more than I think the Panthers are

21:47currently expecting it to expand. Um

21:50this is not the only example. Just an

21:52example is like I wonder what happens if

21:55Tennessee goes 0 and4 to start.

21:57>> Like does Tony Pard generate some trade

22:00interest? Not that Tony's an amazing

22:01player, but still like teams looking for

22:03some depth at running back. Um, could

22:05the team say, you know, Taj Spear is in

22:07a contract here? Like we should probably

22:09decide whether he's going to be a guy

22:11for us going forward. Uh, Tennessee, of

22:13course, did not look good in week one.

22:15Doesn't apply, though, in the case of

22:16Carolina to me.

David Montgomery

22:17>> Yeah.

22:18>> All right. I'm going to talk about David

22:19Montgomery, guys. Another year he was

22:22drafted outside the top 20 at running

22:23back. Another year. We're already in

22:25week two. We're ranking him inside the

22:26top 20. And it's not because of

22:28injuries. It's not because of byweeks.

22:29David Montgomery kind of doing the

22:31narrative that we thought it would be,

22:32which means he needs to be a touchdown

22:34equity guy in this offense. One, and the

22:36Texans need to play really good defense

22:38for him to touch the ball a lot. Wasn't

22:39very efficient. Only 20 car, not only 20

22:41carries, but only three yards per carry,

22:44had 60 yards, but he did have three

22:46receptions, which I really like as well

22:47for 19 yards. Just the idea that he's

22:49getting a little bit more passing game

22:50work than we saw in Detroit. I feel

22:52differently than you guys do about Woody

22:54Marks. Um, I I understand the split that

22:57they had, but I feel like David

22:58Montgomery still is going to be the guy

22:59with the touchdown equity. He's going to

23:00be the one that they have at the goal

23:02line. He's the guy that it feels like

23:03they want to be their short yardage

23:04back. If they loved Woody Marks as much

23:05as they did, I don't think they would

23:06have brought brought in David Montgomery

23:07and had him touch the ball 23 times in

23:10week one. I still love him. He's an RB2

23:13for me. I have my running back 15. I

23:14think everyone has him in the 15 to 20

23:16range. We're rolling out there again

23:18against Cincy, who by the way, Bucky

23:20Irving just carved up this Cincy defense

23:23on the ground. So there's that's a shot

23:24here for the Texans running backs to do

23:26some things.

23:27>> I think we're all closely ranked enough

23:28for this week that we see David

23:30Montgomery's value in week two similar,

23:32right? I mean, you're at 15, you're at

23:3415, I'm at

23:35>> 19. Yeah,

23:35>> I was surp I wasn't surprised because

23:37it's the internet, but I went and I saw

23:39some of the commentary in response to

23:41the video that we posted on Fantasy

23:42Vocus at Twitter or on Twitter I should

23:44say. Um where I described David

23:46Montgomery as a sell high. I think Mike

23:47was aligned there. Yeah. And a decent

23:49number of the responses there were there

23:51were a couple responses that stood out

23:52to me. one was like, "Sell high. I got

23:55this guy in the seventh round and now

23:57I'm playing him in my lineup." And I'm

23:59like, "That's that's kind of the point

24:00is that like you got him in the seventh

24:02round to maybe be your flex and somebody

24:04else might be like, dude, I would trade

24:06you my RB2 for David Montgomery and

24:08whoever name your random RB2 that you

24:11think is going to be better over the

24:12course of the season than Montgomery and

24:14turn Montgomery into that player."

24:16Right? like after one week the the shine

24:18is not off some of these guys that were

24:19ranked ahead of Montgomery so much that

24:21you shouldn't consider trading him. The

24:23other response was like, "Yeah, but um

24:25Woody Marks was only playing on passing

24:28downs and two-minute situations when

24:30they're speeding the ball up." I'm like,

24:31"Well, that that's valuable, right? In

24:32our game, it's really valuable."

24:33>> That's also not true. He had nine

24:34carries, did Woody Marks, but it's also

24:37it's like, you know, there is plenty of

24:39data that shows like one target for a

24:41running back is demonstrabably more

24:43valuable than one rush. Like if you're

24:45saying David Montgomery is going to got

24:47going to get a ton of rushing volume and

24:49maybe a lot of touchdowns, like okay,

24:51fine. Like he can be Jonathan Taylor

24:53Light. He over three yards a carry,

24:55right? Like he's a good player. And

24:56people My other favorite, this is my

24:57last favorite one was imagine how many

25:00more yards per carry he would have

25:01averaged if he hadn't rushed the ball

25:03into the end zone on those two

25:04occasions.

25:05>> Uh five more yards maybe. [laughter]

25:08>> Sorry, you're right. He would have

25:09actually just kept going for three miles

25:10and he would have averaged 10 yards per

25:12carry.

25:12>> And also, I'll add this. They had 73

25:14offensive snaps. Normally, they're going

25:16to have 10 to 12 fewer than that. So,

25:18that's also going to inflate his overall

25:20snaps here. Again, he played 37 snaps.

25:22Woody Marks played 36. Woody Marks was

25:24on the field for half the plays. I mean,

25:26that's a lot. That's that's a big

25:27number. So, again, that's our point.

25:28We're not saying he can't hang in the

25:30RB2 flex conversation. He absolutely

25:32can. The point is he's at a ceiling

25:34value right now. So, if you could take

25:35advantage of that, we're not saying

25:36trade him for Marvin Harrison or someone

25:38else picked in the seventh round. Yeah,

25:40the point is maybe you can jump up and

25:42get a guy that was drafted in the fourth

25:43round or third round that had a bad week

25:45one. Throw another piece in something

25:47like that. I don't know. You play the

25:48game, you know.

25:49>> Just a few names. I'm just going to, you

25:50know, randomly throw three names out

25:51here that I think were in the RB2ish

25:53conversation. I'd be curious where where

25:55you guys have them right now in like

25:57your short-term evaluation. Would you

25:59rather David Montgomery or Kairen

26:00Williams?

26:02>> Uh, I'm going to still lean towards

26:04Kirron. I think the Rams offense is

26:05still going to be

26:05>> Okay. So, but that's a name that I think

26:08David Montgomery.

26:08>> Okay. So, you you're different. You're

26:10there. Okay.

26:10>> But I also liked Blake Cororm a lot more

26:12than you guys did coming into the

26:13season.

26:13>> David Montgomery or Travis Han.

26:15>> Travis Han.

26:16>> Uh Han.

26:17>> Okay. I think you could make that trade

26:18right now. I think somebody who has

26:19Travis Han would would take Sorry, every

26:22somebody who has David Montgomery would

26:23take Travis Han right now. There's

26:25there's a name, right?

26:26>> Let's do Can you do a wide receiver? Cuz

26:27I think if you grabbed him in the

26:29seventh round, maybe as your third

26:30running back, the team that's going to

26:31be trading for him wants to start a

26:33running back, which means you would

26:34probably give up something that's not a

26:35running back to get as a starter. Is

26:37there a wide receiver that you would

26:38like would be a good

26:39>> Okay. Um Jameson Williams.

26:45>> I would

26:46>> any Bears wide receiver.

26:48>> Any Bears? Oh. Uh yeah. Um

26:50>> K Raymond.

26:51>> I think both Bears. No, not Khalif

26:53Raymond.

26:53>> I don't think so.

26:55>> And these are tricky too because it kind

26:57of depends on your situation, but like a

26:58Terry McLaren as well, I think is

27:00interesting. Like I would lean McLaren.

27:02The hard part with it being a sell high

27:03for me is that you're selling high at a

27:05position that always has value in

27:08fantasy football.

27:09>> That's why I think you can upgrade is

27:10that like I think if you prefer an achan

27:12or a Bucky Irving for example, who I

27:13just think is more talented at this

27:15stage of his career than David

27:16Montgomery. If you feel in your

27:18estimation that

27:19>> for the next based off what you saw in

27:21week one and what you thought of the

27:22player coming into the season that

27:23Travis Han is a better bet than David

27:26Montgomery, I'd make that offer right

27:28now. What is it that so as a part of

27:30this because I know you're not saying

27:30that Dave Montgomery isn't good at

27:32football,

27:33>> but if you're selling high on him, it's

27:35because you don't think he's going to

27:36deliver x amount of value for your team

27:38for the rest of the season. Do you?

27:39>> No, I think it's that there's somebody

27:40else that can deliver more value. That's

27:42the point is that like I think I'm

27:43upgrading. If you think you are

27:45upgrading because I think people after

27:47week one, if you offered them David

27:49Montgomery for their Travis Achan, I

27:51think there are people that would be

27:52like give me that, right? And I I

27:54express some of my concerns with Achan

27:56on Monday with just the snapshare. But

27:58if you think that David Montgomery is

27:59going to be an inferior player to Han

28:01for the rest of the season, then I would

28:03make that offer right now.

28:04>> Imagine though if you drafted Diva David

28:06Montgomery in the seventh round or

28:07eighth round to be your third running

28:09back. And then you're like, great, this

28:11is exactly what I wanted. I have a third

28:12running back I can count on the entire

28:14season. I don't have to worry about any

28:15of this stuff.

28:16>> That's fine. But what if your third

28:18running back was a better running back

28:19is the point I'm trying

28:20>> Yeah. Exactly. Right. he go and if he

28:22goes 14 for 48 with no touchdowns and

28:24one catch for eight yards this week then

28:26that's gone like you now he's right back

28:27to a man like is this a guy a flex and

28:30that's very possible again like you had

28:32a big role from Marks but Marks also had

28:34more of the passing game work in this

28:36game I mean 2021 was the last time

28:38Montgomery had more than 36 catches in a

28:39season like I don't and based on how

28:41they were using week one I don't see him

28:43expanding on that like he's not going to

28:45really make up ground in the passing

28:46game you're really dependent on heavy

28:48rushing volume and rushing touchdowns

28:50and that's scary. I mean, he's not David

28:51M or he's not uh Dererick Henry. You

28:53know,

28:54>> he is David Montgomery.

28:55>> Montgomery. Is this David Montgomery?

28:56Just like if I told you player after

28:58week one to just have an overreaction

29:00conversation to be honest with how is

29:02like if I told you over like blindly

29:05like, hey, this guy got 20 rushing

29:07attempts, but also averaged three yards

29:10per carry and also played 50% of the

29:14snaps and also probably you got at least

29:17two goal line carries. Like there might

29:19be some people that deem the 50% of the

29:22snaps and the three yards per carry

29:25>> not enough.

29:26>> More valuable in terms of things that

29:28could stay over time than the 20 carries

29:30is what I would say.

29:31>> Understood.

29:32>> We'll see how it works. We have him as

29:34RB2 here in week two. We'll see more

29:35about David Montgomery as we move on

29:37field. Do you got a running back you

29:38want to talk about?

29:38>> By the way, I feel bad for Monty. Like I

29:40have this we play in this dynasty league

29:42where two years ago I won and I had have

29:46a very veteran team and it was like all

29:47my good veterans that year was like I do

29:49have Lamar but Lamar De Henry Monty

29:52Saquon this is the Saquon brilliant year

29:54with 2,000 yards um James Connor was

29:57still hanging around Debo Travis Kelce

29:59George KD so I'm very old and I was not

30:01I was like you know eighth out of 12

30:03last year everybody kind of cratered um

30:05and then week one all my old guys were

30:07good at you Derk Henry was good

30:08>> crushing it again And I I had an

30:10absolutely ridiculous week one and David

30:12Montgomery is part of that team and I'm

30:14so I'm like super invested in Monty to

30:16be great. I just am nervous. Like if you

30:17guys again if you want to offer me Jamar

30:19Chase in Dynasty, I will take him.

30:21>> I have Jack Bash. I mean he's scored in

30:23week one.

30:24>> Listen, do not write that kid off yet.

30:27>> All right. Um I mentioned my theme is

30:29like you did it in week one, let's see

30:30you do it again in week two and it would

30:31mean more.

Ashton Jeanty

30:32>> Ashton Jenty did it many times in week

30:35one. He was awesome. Right. And it was

30:36like the vision we were looking for and

30:38I continue to go back to like so

30:40encouraged by the scheme, the

30:42innovation. It was such a 180 from where

30:44they were last year. It was have a

30:46Ferrari, let it drive on the highway as

30:48opposed to have a Ferrari and let it

30:49drive through, you know, quicksand in

30:51your backyard like last year, right? Um

30:53he had 16 carry six, not carry, 16

30:56touches that gained at least five yards.

30:59He was explosive. Importantly, he played

31:0273.1% of the snaps, which is lower than

31:04where he was at last year. He was at

31:06like 85 in a lot of weeks. It was

31:08ridiculous.

31:09>> But it was still fifth amongst running

31:11elite to be at 73% or higher. So love

31:15the role, love the explosiveness, love

31:17the creativity, obviously love the

31:18talent, love the toughness, love the

31:20fact that this guy

31:21>> players were circling around him in

31:23prayer like three weeks ago and we

31:25people were were fading him in drafts

31:27for 48 hours. Sheffy tells us he's all

31:29good and he has a monster week one.

31:31>> That's great.

31:32>> The rubber meets the road a little bit

31:33on Sunday though. Uh the Cardinals backs

31:35were actually fine against the Chargers,

31:37but I think we would all agree as Mike

31:38mentioned with Brock Pery facing the

31:40Dolphins uh this week that the that

31:42Dolphins defense is so bad that you have

31:44to account for that a little bit. Ashen

31:47Jenty could still have a really

31:48effective game this weekend and go for

31:5015 fantasy points. If he goes for 22,

31:52then we're like, "All right, do we have

31:54a new member of that elite tier of

31:56running backs, right? Right. The Jir

31:57Gibbs, Bejian Robinson's, Jonathan

31:59Taylor, Christian McAffrey. Maybe it's

32:01those guys and then Ashen Genty is

32:04sneaking up right behind him.

32:05>> I would get somebody there. No,

32:07>> I would only push back a little bit by

32:08saying that I would trust it more

32:10depending on what he does in this one.

32:12>> Okay.

32:13>> Once we see Brock Bowers out there in

32:15that offense, if he gets another five or

32:16six receptions in this game, I'd be

32:18like, great. This is the passing game

32:19work that we want. But we need the

32:21number one tight end in football to be

32:22out there also to know what's actually

32:24going to look like when he's out there.

32:25So, it's just a little bit of a push

32:26back.

32:27>> I think he's safe to be in that three to

32:28five target range, which is fine. If

32:30he's going to handle most of the

32:32carries, I mean, I think our hesitation,

32:33if he's

32:35>> even if he wasn't hurt, if he was

32:36healthy, our hesitation was all the Mike

32:37Washington hype, like is he actually

32:39going to steal enough to

32:40>> kind of hold back his fantasy value? If

32:42week one's an indication, the answer is

32:43no. I the other thing I would say is

32:46that um it's not just the number of

32:48targets he gets, it's the like the

32:50utilization of those targets. Last year

32:52he saw a ton of work obviously in the

32:54passing game. So much of Ashton Genty in

32:56the passing game last year was Mike's

32:57guy Gino Smith being under duress and

32:59just dumping it, you know, one yard

33:01behind the line of scrimmage and six

33:04catches for I feel like there was a game

33:05last year where he had six catches for

33:06seven yards. And you're like, "All

33:08right, well, you got the six fantasy

33:09points, but you didn't get the seven

33:11fantasy points because he had seven

33:13receiving yards."

33:14>> Yeah, that's a tough one. They did

33:15address the offensive line obviously

33:16signing Tyler Lindbomb there and I do

33:18think Kurt Cousins is great as far as

33:21you know for his value right now early

33:22in the season. So all right let's talk

33:23about some wide receivers my friends.

33:25Wide receivers here in week two.

33:27>> Puka leading off at wide receiver one

33:29with Aman Raw JSN Jamar Chase CD Lamb

33:32Justin Jefferson Chris Olive Nico

33:34Collins Rashi Rice and Z Flowers

33:37rounding out the top 10 11 through 20.

33:39George Pickkins Garrett Wilson Drake

33:41London Lad Makoni. We'll get some more

33:43information on

33:44>> Malik Neighbors, Dvont Smith, DJ Moore,

33:46Amecha Ibuka, Devonte Adams, and Tedoroa

33:50McMillan, the number two wide receiver

33:52in Carolina. Rounding out the top 20

33:54wide receivers there, guys.

33:56>> Good stuff. There are a couple names

33:57that we're not going to discuss that

33:58really stand out to me. Drake London

34:00will be a great conversation tomorrow,

34:02but Mike,

34:03>> I'm still not sure what to make of the

34:05quarterback situation there. So, yeah,

34:06we'll keep an eye on that. Uh, the guy

Malik Nabers

34:07I'm highlighting is a guy I think you're

34:09all a little too low on, Malik

34:10Neighbors. you look the part in week

34:12one. I'm a wide receiver 11. You guys

34:15are down closer, the consensus at least

34:17at 15.

34:18>> I mean, for a guy who didn't know until

34:21that day he was going to play in the

34:22game, who missed so much of the off

34:23seasonason, who barely played last year

34:25with a new coach, a new play caller,

34:27essentially a new quarterback, more

34:28competition for targets, just nine

34:30targets, six catches, 69 yards, and and

34:32didn't find the end zone, but uh he

34:34looked really good. Uh also, he only

34:36played 53% of the snaps and still

34:38delivered at that level. Uh the good

34:40news is in terms of playing time, first

34:42of all, it's only going to increase. But

34:44he was out there when they threw the

34:45ball and they threw it to him a lot. He

34:47was his route participation was 77% his

34:50target share 31% and here it is. I think

34:53it's the debut for this year.

34:55>> The first area yard stat FOR FIELD.

34:58>> YEAH.

34:58>> YES.

34:59>> LET'S DO IT.

35:00>> LOVE IT. ALL RIGHT. 40% of the area

35:02yards for Malik Neighbors in this game.

35:05Now they play the Rams. They're going to

35:06LA. The Rams just allowed touchdowns,

35:08too. Not one, not two, but three 49ers

35:11receivers. Evans Debo and Demarcus

35:13Robinson all found the end zone. They

35:16allowed the fourth most fantasy points

35:17to that position in week one. So, right

35:19now, we're not really afraid of that

35:21situation. I'm I'm right back in on

35:22Malik Neighbors. Good to go. Can I push

35:24back on one thing,

35:25>> please? Um Malik Neighbors is what year

35:27of his career?

35:28>> He is year three. Okay. This is year

35:31three, but uh week one showed us that

35:33the Rams are specifically vulnerable

35:36>> Yes. to guys that are eligible for

35:38social security.

35:41I appreciate you taking the baton and

35:42making fun of old players now. Like I

35:44don't have to do it. You with McCaffrey

35:46all offseason, now you with the

35:47receiver.

35:47>> I'm just a little concerned that the uh

35:49>> I could be the optimist around here once

35:50in a while.

35:51>> Love that. He looked great in week one.

35:52Hopefully we continue to get that from

35:54that entire Giants.

35:55>> I just love that he was clearly featured

35:57right out of the gate. There wasn't any

35:59hesitation when he was on the field.

36:00They threw him the ball a ton. Jackson

36:02Dart looked awesome. A lot of optimism.

36:04>> They have a ton of things to prove. It's

36:06just one week, but maybe the offensive

36:09coordinator who faced the most questions

36:11this off season, Matt Naggie was

36:14excellent. Excellent in week one.

36:15>> That was a statement game. They looked

36:17>> definitely they look great. Yep.

36:18>> Love that. Six catches on nine targets

36:20for 69 yards

36:22>> on 53% of the snaps.

36:24>> Yeah,

36:24>> that's impressive.

36:25>> Yeah. Uh let's talk DJ Moore. I know

36:26we're going to talk about him a little

36:27bit more tomorrow, but I just want to

36:28really quickly say this. DJ Moore in a

DJ Moore

36:30great spot after not really feeling like

36:31a wide receiver to last week because of

36:33the Houston Texans game. This is where

36:35we're really going to see what we think

36:36DJ Moore and Josh Allen will probably

36:38look like more often than not, even

36:39though they looked great against the

36:40Texans. I think we all kind of agreed

36:43maybe they got a a couple of nice things

36:45gifted their way from the football gods

36:47every gone right I would say for in that

36:50one. Uh yeah, sometimes

36:51>> that doesn't mean I wasn't right, but it

36:52doesn't mean that the variance went

36:54right that way.

36:54>> Yeah, there was a lot of close calls. Um

36:57yeah, that was a wild game to watch. I I

36:59mean, yes, it was

37:00>> that was Josh Allen saying

37:02>> it was, you know, it was kind of like

37:04the opposite of what the Chiefs did. It

37:05was like the Bills went in and were

37:07like, you know what,

37:08>> we struggled against this team. Let's

37:09just go wild and throw it up there,

37:11chuck it down the field. And it worked.

37:13Everything see every single thing seemed

37:15to go their way. And then the Chiefs

37:16were just like, we're going to snap and

37:17throw it immediately and run the ball

37:18and everything's conservative to protect

37:20themselves from a good defense. It was

37:22like the exact opposite. It worked for

37:24both teams, though.

37:24>> Yep. I I can't wait to see what the

37:26Chiefs offense looks like on Sunday

37:27night because for our I know you guys

37:29talked about this yesterday. For our

37:30purposes, we need a whole lot more out

37:31of the passing game.

37:32>> Yes, we are.

37:33>> Oh, yeah. Rashi Rice, I'm sure we'll get

37:35to him over the next couple of days.

37:36Fascinating uh case study.

37:38>> He is perhaps the name that sticks out

37:40the most in our top 10 of

37:42>> Yeah, we'll get there. I'm optimistic,

37:43but we'll get

37:43>> We'll get there. Yep. Um I have a I'm

37:46talk about Zay Flowers in a second. Uh

37:49this game should be on Sunday night,

37:51>> the Lions and the Bills

37:52>> rather than Thursday night football.

37:54>> Yes. I feel and I feel passionately

37:55about this. Uh it's Chiefs Colts on

37:57Sunday night. I understand the Chiefs

37:58couldn't play on Thursday, but they

37:59could play in the afternoon. Somebody

38:01else could play on Thursday. Um would

38:02you guys agree that you know like

38:05probably more Bills fans not living in

38:07Buffalo than you do like a typical fan

38:10base? I I just feel like Bills fans are

38:12so passionate that I've met a lot of

38:13Bills fans not in Buffalo my life.

38:15Right. Yep.

38:16>> This is the opening of their stadium.

38:18There going to be a lot of Bills fans

38:19from out of town that want to get back

38:20to this game and show their support for

38:23their beloved franchise.

38:24>> I don't like that it's on Thursday

38:25night. You got to miss two days of work,

38:28right? Like not that taking Monday off

38:30from work is ideal for everybody, but uh

38:32it is a holiday. Um a Jewish holiday I

38:34believe on Monday. I believe it's Yum

38:36Kapoor. My So I know my kids are off

38:39from school as well. So I think there's

38:40a chance that Sunday night you'd have a

38:43lot more fans that could get back that

38:44this opening means so much to them.

38:46>> You know what I like about this? This is

38:48fuel thinking about the people. It's not

38:49about the NFL. It's not about us. It's

38:50like, you know what? They're going to

38:52open a stadium. This should be a bigger

38:53thing. We should have like leaned into

38:54this more.

38:55>> It's a hu this the Bills old stadium.

38:57I'm so old, right? I mean, obviously, it

38:59was it was time for a change there.

39:01Huge. I don't know. Mike's the age guy.

39:04>> Older.

39:04>> It was so old. How old field?

39:06>> You're so old. You're

39:08>> stadium is falling apart.

39:11>> Thought you do like a yo mama joke right

39:12there.

39:12>> I was I was thinking about it, but then

39:14I just

39:15>> um Anyway,

39:16>> sorry guys. I apologize for this.

39:17>> Yeah, I want the Bills to open their

39:18stadium on Sunday night, not Thursday

39:20night.

39:20>> Yeah, fair enough. Although, let's be

39:22honest, it's going to be packed. It's

39:24going to be wild. It's going to be a

39:25scene.

39:26>> It's going to be a great atmosphere. But

39:28if you have a friend, we live in

39:29Connecticut. If you have a friend who

39:30lives in Connecticut,

39:32>> taking off two days of work is a

39:33material change from potentially zero

39:35days off from work. All right, you're

39:36not wrong. Wide receivers,

39:39>> Z Flowers,

39:40>> would you guys agree that a 46.2% target

39:42share is good or no?

39:43>> 46.2%.

39:45I mean, you know me, I would say

39:46unsustainable, but

39:48>> but good, right?

39:49>> Because before Z Flowers got hurt, he

Zay Flowers

39:52had a 46.2% target share.

39:54>> Wow.

39:54>> He had six of the team's 13 targets

39:56before exiting. He had 150 receiving

39:59yards in the first half. That's the most

40:01in any half by any player

40:04>> playing with Lamar Jackson as his

40:06quarterback. sample size is tiny, but if

40:09that was the beginning of what we're

40:10going to see from this Ravens offense

40:12this year, my god, Z Flowers is going to

40:15absolutely mash. It was creative. Yep.

40:18It was different. It was highlighting

40:20his capabilities, giving him

40:22opportunities to run after the catch. He

40:24was zigzagging through guys. He looks

40:26like, you know, like a frog hopping

40:28through traffic, right? He is

40:29unbelievable as a Flowers with his

40:31ability to make guys miss. The guy is

40:33flat out ridiculous. 46.2 2% sure it's

40:37unsustainable. But for Zay Flowers, if

40:39the number hovers around 30%. With his

40:42skill set and Lamar and how high Octane

40:45that offense could be, Zay Flowers could

40:47be way higher than where he was coming

40:50into the season being drafted as

40:51>> Yeah, we've always worried about the

40:54volume ceiling for pass catchers in a

40:56Lamar Jackson le offense because it's

40:57just so oriented on Lamar adding value

40:59with his legs and you know the defense

41:02good Henry. But right now, if you look

41:04at the offensive situation, you're like,

41:06"Okay, Dererick Henry's running the

41:07football a ton." You have Lamar in the

41:09back field, of course. But in terms of

41:10the passing game, it's Z and question

41:13marks. I mean, Jacobe Lane, they thought

41:15they had something there. He's hurt.

41:16He's going to be out probably about a

41:18month. Rashad Baitman not doing

41:20anything.

41:20>> Could be suspended as well.

41:22>> Yeah, could be suspended. Mark Andrews

41:23isn't old Mark Andrews. I mean, Isaiah

41:26likely, I mean, I know he didn't do a

41:28lot consistently in that offense, but

41:29he's gone. I mean, there's really

41:31nothing there. So 30% target share for Z

41:33Flowers certainly seems on the table

41:35right now.

41:36>> If you get 30% from Z Flowers, he would

41:38be hovering around wide receiver 10 each

41:40and every week.

41:41>> Yeah, if not higher. Yeah, I love that.

Mailbag questions from the live chat

41:43>> Awesome.

41:43>> Let's take a few questions from chat

41:45before we move on here. This first one

41:46comes from realer.

41:50>> No,

41:51>> realer and Rick.

41:52>> Oh, realer and Rick. Sorry. You know, I

41:54got to I get nervous ever since I've

41:56been fooled that one time, guys.

41:57>> Drake May very very sneaky. Drake May

42:00versus Kyle Pittz or Momes. Sorry,

42:03versus Pittsburgh. Sorry. [laughter]

42:06>> Drake May versus Pittsburgh or Mahomes

42:08versus Indie.

42:09>> I would go Drake May versus the

42:11Steelers. [laughter] I know you guys

42:12talked about it yesterday, so I just

42:14will offer that like the Chiefs curb

42:16stomped the Broncos. Patrick Mahomes so

42:20>> impressive. He's fearless. He's a threat

42:22with his legs. Yes, they were being

42:24ultra-conservative.

42:26I still want to see the Chiefs offense

42:28actually test teams down the field a

42:30little.

42:30>> All right, I'm going I'm going Mahomes.

42:32Not afraid of the Colts defense. Mahomes

42:35is

42:35>> they're at home again, right? My Yeah,

42:37they're at home again

42:39football.

42:39>> Yeah.

42:39>> Oh, yeah. You just said that. Yeah. So,

42:41um I'm I'm going to go with him over May

42:42in a tough match up. And he's another

42:44one we're going to we'll get to this. I

42:45mean, we have we have quarterbacks with

42:46tough matchups again. Joe Burrow is

42:48another conversation him going up

42:50against or going into Houston. We know

42:51what happening against.

42:52>> I would take Drake Maymay.

42:54>> You're going May as well. All right.

42:55I'm going I'm on an island here.

42:58>> Next one we have, this one comes from

43:00Aaron Reynolds. Do you think stribbling

43:01or gain well are droppable now given

43:04what's been happening?

43:05>> Um I I have a pretty strong feeling on

43:07this one. I think stribbling if you

43:08don't want to put him on IR is

43:09absolutely droppable. You don't have an

43:11IR. Uh you know I think even when he

43:13comes back it might be a while with Debo

43:15kind of looking looking good. And also

43:17George KD's ready to roll. Mike Evans. I

43:19mean there's a lot of guys there. Um and

43:21game lights I'd hold on to. I mean, if

43:22you're in a shallower league, maybe, but

43:24I would hold tight. I think that uh

43:26he'll find his way to relevance.

43:27>> I agree there. That money speaks to me

43:29from this off seasonason. Two years, $14

43:31million for Kenny G. Um a reminder, and

43:33I don't the scribbling has not been

43:35placed on IR, but if he is, a reminder

43:38because sometimes the fact that you have

43:40to miss four games creates the

43:42impression that a player is going to

43:44miss four games, right?

43:45>> Miles Garrett, this is a good case

43:47because Shawn McVey was like, I don't

43:48have a timeline on Miles Garrett. going

43:50to be at least four games before he

43:51returns. Not that he matters in fantasy,

43:53but a high-profile name to kind of make

43:55this point. So, shribbling, I think the

43:57reporting was around a month for this

43:59ankle injury, but it's an ankle for a

44:01wide receiver.

44:02>> They're cooking. They're cooking through

44:04one game after,

44:06>> you know, with the veterans. So,

44:07>> yeah, we'll keep an eye on him ascend

44:10over the next month.

44:10>> Yeah. And I think struggling maybe

44:12around mid-season, maybe starts to

44:14become a guy that gets

44:16>> back to fantasy relevance. We'll kind of

44:18see how things go with like Evans Debo.

44:20Again, it is an older offense, but he's

44:21a guy that still could be a league

44:22winner, but it's just not anytime soon.

44:24>> I could see him making noise still at

44:26some point this season. The question is,

44:27like you guys had just said,

44:29>> do you need to keep someone else on IR

44:31over him? Or if you already have someone

44:32on IR, are you willing to just, you

44:34know, burn a bench spot so that you can

44:36get

44:36>> How desperate are you to make that move,

44:38right? Like if it's

44:39>> But that doesn't mean he won't have

44:40potential value at some point later on

44:42the season. I just think you can hold on

44:43to it. I totally understand dropping.

44:45All right, a couple more questions here.

44:47Red Pants Brigade says, "Y'all got to

44:50get three dragon brothers. Stop and Clay

44:52get the normal dragons and field gets

44:54the derpy one."

44:55>> Yes,

44:56>> that's hilarious.

44:56>> I love it.

44:57>> That's that one meme. Oh god.

44:58>> Yes, I'm in on that. Tommy Parker says,

45:00"I want Mike Clay to know that my team,

45:02he gave a D-grade, scored 204.4

45:06points and a half point PPR 12 team

45:09league.

45:11>> Standing on business."

45:12>> I feel so bad for Mike in this regard.

45:13Uh yeah, I don't

45:15>> life does not give the

45:16>> I don't even know how they calculate

45:17them to be completely honest, but it's

45:19only week one.

45:21>> Hey, there you go.

45:22>> We'll see. You know, I don't I don't

45:23want to, you know, we don't pat

45:24ourselves on the back after week one

45:26either way because there's a long way to

45:27go. Things could flip in a hurry.

45:29>> That's fair.

45:30>> You notice I've been very quiet about uh

45:32the Chargers offense struggling. We'll

45:34we'll see. We'll let it see what happens

45:36there.

45:36>> All right, let's talk about some tight

45:38ends, my friend. Tight ends here in week

45:40two. Top 10 for the for week two here.

45:43Trey McBride obviously tight end one.

45:45Coloulston Lovelin in spite of scoring

45:47zero points in week one still tight end

45:49two here. Tyler Warren tight end three.

45:50Sam Leaporta and Brock Bowers. Bowers at

45:53five because there is an uncertainty

45:55around the injury who do not have him

45:57ranked. Is that what it is?

45:58>> Yeah, that's why it's a weighted average

46:00and he is not ranked by at least one

46:01person. So,

46:02>> okay, got it. That would do that.

46:03>> When you get him not ranked, you

46:04basically get a zero in your score. like

46:07you get, you know, 26 is your calculated

46:09average as opposed to

46:10>> one through 25.

46:11>> Dallas Gddard at tight end six, Isaiah

46:13likely, Tucker Craft, Travis Kelce, and

46:15then Kyle Pittz. Also, two tight ends

46:17that scored zero points in week one are

46:19inside our top 10 here for week two.

46:21>> That's I think that's more of a

46:23reflection [laughter] of how bad the

46:24position is than anything else.

46:25>> Yeah, we will. Um yeah, we'll keep an

46:28eye on the Falcons based on who the

46:29quarterback is. Right now it it assumes

46:31Penn, but I'm like, as we talked about

46:33yesterday, Daniel, like a little more

46:35pessimistic than I was a couple days ago

46:36that it'll be him, but we'll see.

46:37>> When you say it assumes, are you talking

46:39about Clay?

46:40>> The projections.

46:40>> Clay eye. Yes.

46:42>> Come on there, baby.

46:44>> Clay eye has panics in there for now,

46:46but again, it's just so much uncertainty

46:47right now.

46:48>> All right, go ahead. Why don't you give

46:48us a tight end Mike that you're talking

46:50want to talk about?

46:50>> Yeah. Uh Tucker Craft, I think, is an

Tucker Kraft

46:52interesting one. uh played 66% of the

46:55snaps and you know he said you know he

46:58said a couple weeks ago he'll be limited

47:00for the first half of the season. Then

47:01leading into the game he said he won't

47:02be limited. Y

47:03>> he was limited.

47:04>> He was limited.

47:04>> He's played at 87% of the snaps over the

47:07last two seasons. He was at 66 in this

47:09game.

47:09>> He's run his route participation 73% the

47:12last two seasons. He was at 46% in this

47:15game. Now he did have a handful of long

47:17catches but he only had six targets

47:19three catches in the game for 65 yards.

47:21Only a 15% target share. Again, you

47:23would expect him to be hopefully closer

47:24to 19 to 21% if he's going to sustain

47:27for title one. Yeah, he certainly that

47:29helped uh for sure. Uh but I think it's

47:32a point in the right direction at least.

47:34At least he was making explosive plays.

47:35That was my concern coming off the ACL.

47:37So that's enough for me to put him back

47:39into the top 10. So on the back end, I'm

47:41still worried about some bus games

47:43shortterm. Remember I told you last year

47:45he generally hung around five or six

47:47targets per game. He just had those

47:50inflated numbers and really good

47:51matchups down the stretch last year

47:53which really boosted his efficiency in

47:55his numbers. So again, we're we're

47:56getting there with Craft, but I'm not

47:58overreacting just yet. For now, kind of

48:00a fringe backend tight end one.

48:02>> I'm in on any of the pass catchers right

48:04now because I feel like that running

48:05game in Green Bay is just atrocious.

48:07>> I am a little surprised. Um

48:10there is like a lot of anger right now

48:13in Green Bay.

48:14>> Yeah,

48:14>> people like want to burn the place down.

48:16That's the people aren't happy.

48:18>> They are not happy. And I understand

48:20like there was some question about

48:21whether Matt Laflur would be retained

48:23this off seasonason. There seemed to be

48:24like a moment there where it wasn't

48:26clear,

48:27>> but he was extended and there already

48:28people that are like our coach is the

48:30problem. We got sometimes on um I'll see

48:32polls on on Twitter and I'll I will vote

48:35just to see what the masses are saying,

48:37right? And there was one where it was

48:39like who's most to blame for the

48:40Chargers and I think it was like the

48:42coach like Matt Laflur the running game

48:45>> of love probably

48:46>> or other. And I if there's an other I

48:48always vote other just so I don't feel

48:49bad. Uh and it was like

48:52>> heavily in favor of Matt Lefor being the

48:55biggest problem. Anyway, that's an

48:56aside. I'm just surprised by how much

48:58anxiety there is right now in Green Bay.

49:00>> That's wild. That's wild. I feel like

49:01he's one of the coaches that gets a lot

49:02out of his team. So that's kind of

49:03surprising to hear. So and again six

49:06straight games going back to last season

49:07which is

49:08>> Yeah, that's not great.

49:09>> That is that is definitely

Isaiah Likely

49:10>> got a lot of angst there. Not a lot of

49:12angst in New York right now. Isaiah

49:14likely smashed. Yeah, the dude was

49:16unbelievable. Eight for 78 on eight

49:18targets plus he had two Tutties for 27.8

49:21fantasy points. We've seen him do this

49:23before actually in week one before and

49:26then specifically disappear for the rest

49:28of the season. Difference is I do

49:29believe this is more sustainable. Not

49:3127.8 eight, but his tight end one

49:33sustainability is more sustainable now

49:35that he is in this offense. Free of Mark

49:38Andrews, he clearly looked like the

49:40number two pass catcher here. Him and

49:41Jackson Dart looked great. Again, not

49:43expecting two touchdowns every week, but

49:45if even if he's getting eight targets a

49:46game, seven, eight targets, he's going

49:48to get enough volume to be a tight end

49:49one for us. Isaiah likely inside my top

49:53five at the position here in week two.

49:55>> Yeah, I just feel pretty good about his

49:57situation. Should be the number two.

49:59Yep. Yeah, I think he's the guy I was

50:01after week one I was like, "God, I

50:02should have been higher on him."

50:03>> Yeah.

50:03>> Um kicking myself a little.

50:04>> You are so high but not high enough.

50:06>> Uh last one for me is Sam Leaporta. Snap

Sam Laporta

50:09share of 81% which was eighth best

50:11amongst tight ends in week one. That's

50:13good. Eight targets also good more than

50:15anything. And we'll talk about this game

50:16as I'll save some of this. Like

50:18>> what's the overunder on in this game?

50:20>> High a lot.

50:21>> It's a lot, right?

50:22>> Uh oh yeah,

50:23>> tomorrow night. So definitely

50:24>> we want as much of the Lions in the

50:26Bills game that we can get, which means

50:28it will be a 13 to 10

50:30>> pitchers duel. We No, we got that.

50:32>> We got that nonsense out of the way in

50:34week one.

50:34>> Yeah, that's true. What's the over

50:35under, Daniel?

50:36>> Uh the overunder right now looks like I

50:40am not 54 and a half.

50:42>> 54 and a half. I believe the week one

50:43high was 50 and a half.

50:45>> So 54 and a half. And I'm going to guess

50:47the Bills are probably what? Four and a

50:49half point favorites here. Five.

50:50>> Five and a half point favorites.

50:51>> Five and a half point favorites. I asked

50:53our and we'll do this tomorrow like I

50:54said, but I asked our production team to

50:55put together a quick graphic of what it

50:57looked like the last time these two

50:58teams played. In case you don't

51:00remember, we will talk about it

51:01tomorrow. We'll save that for

51:02>> thermonuclear Josh Allen.

51:04>> It was a fun game.

51:04>> Yes. So, Sam Leaporta, a guy that I was

51:07encouraged by the 81% for him more so

51:11than a typical tight end just because of

51:13the back injury and the hip injury that

51:15lingered during the preseason.

51:16>> Let's do a couple of bonus guys here. We

51:18were still in even though we lowered him

51:20a little bit on week one on Josh Allen

Joe Burrow

51:22taking on the Texans. Mike, how much are

51:23you lowering Joe Burrow because of the

51:25Texans?

51:26>> Seems like we are consensus wise to him

51:27at QB14. And maybe we can expand on this

51:29when we do uh our matchup for this game

51:32on Thursday or Friday. But uh yeah,

51:34look, Burrow week one was fine. 25 of

51:3635, 254 yards, a touchdown, a pick, had

51:3820 rushing yards. But that was against

51:40the Buccaneers. Now he goes to Houston.

51:42And look, I know Houston got crushed by

51:44Josh Allen, but again, this is still an

51:47elite defense on paper. No quarterback

51:49even got to 21 against them all of last

51:51season. I think it's kind of a fluke. It

51:52happens sometimes for great defenses. Uh

51:55I I worry about Burrow not being able to

51:58just make up the make up the ground with

52:00the high varian play. So for me, I'm

52:01going to,

52:02>> you know, I'm I'm a little hesitant on

52:04Burrow this week. I would prefer to

52:05stream.

52:06>> Yeah, you can't. This is totally unfair

52:08to Josh Allen, but if you're making the

52:10case why the Texans defense is better

52:11than it looked like in week one, Josh

52:13had a 20 yard touchdown run when for

52:16some reason Houston went cover zero in

52:18the red zone, which allows Josh to run,

52:20right?

52:21>> There was another rushing touchdown,

52:23which Joe is far less likely than Josh

52:25to run for a touchdown. And last, and I

52:28know Mike kind of referenced this

52:29earlier with DJ Moore, there is this

52:31play where it's like DJ Moore makes a

52:33catch,

52:33>> I don't know what, 15 yards down the

52:36sideline and then next thing you know,

52:37he piouetses and there's nobody within

52:4040 yards of

52:40>> it. And the defender was this close from

52:42tipping it away. Also,

52:43>> got actually Bill's PR calling in. They

52:45want to have a quick conversation guys

52:46about the disrespect for

52:48>> how about the late the late touchdown

52:49where he threw it

52:51>> to uhwami lacer right like this like me

52:53to you right in his hands

52:54>> and lasser drops it and they score in

52:56the next play like everything went their

52:58way

52:58>> there a point that I make is this and

53:00some of the things that went in the

53:01favor of Joe Bur of Josh Allen Joe is

53:04far less likely to execute himself right

53:06>> we all agree

53:07>> but we'll keep it in the uh the Buffalo

53:09vein is uh I wanted to make Dalton

53:12Concade a top 10 tight end this week or

53:14at least close to it. Um because he

Dalton Kincaid

53:16played great in week one. 77% target

53:19share, sorry, snap share for Dalton

53:22Concade. Um

53:24>> he was hurt last year. 55% was a a mark

53:28he never met in 2025.

53:30>> So the fact that he was at 77% in week

53:32one, a sign of how healthy he is

53:34compared to where he's been in prior

53:36years. He had three catches of 35 yards

53:39or more. Not expecting that every week

53:41given the fact that he's had two of

53:43those in his entire career, but there

53:45were three 35 plus yard catches by every

53:48other tight end in the league.

53:49Hilariously, of course, one of them was

53:50Travis Kelce when the C's parted on

53:52Monday night. He had that big 50-yard.

53:55Um, but I think that Doulson Concade

53:57maybe finally possibly can reach that

53:59post hype potential.

54:01>> Yeah, you almost said word for word what

54:03the playbook write up is going to be for

54:04me about this game. Uh Dolan Concincaid.

54:07I'm optimistic. In fact, I added him in

54:09our FFC league on waiverss. I was

54:11surprised I got him. I bet there would

54:12be a little more optimism. It was I

54:14couldn't decide in him or Debo to to

54:15prioritize. I have a good tight end. I

54:17can't remember who it is off the top of

54:19my head, but Tyler Warren. I have Tyler

54:20Warren, but I had to get Concaid. I feel

54:22like the playing time,

54:24>> yeah,

54:24>> is a huge change from last year that

54:27could unlock him. Remember, this is a

54:29former first round pick and he's flashed

54:30at times. It's just never been

54:32consistent. if he keeps playing that

54:33much and is healthy, you know, the

54:35ceiling is so high. So, make sure if

54:37he's still available in your league, you

54:38get him. Yeah.

54:39>> All right, let's rank for Let's Oh, no.

54:40You have one

54:41>> one more. Mike Evans.

54:42>> I think this might be the player that I

54:44have because of what has happened

Mike Evans

54:46changed my mind on the most after week

54:48one. Mike Evans, I think, is going to

54:50now, especially with Deshan Stribbling

54:52being out for a month and what he did in

54:54week one against the Rams. Six for 49

54:56and a touchdown on seven targets, 16.9

54:58fantasy points. I have him as a low-end

55:00wide receiver, too. I am cranking it up.

55:02Yep, we are in on my

55:03>> turning back the clock is what I mean.

55:04>> Oh, that's what you're doing. I thought

55:05we were cranking up Mike Evans.

55:06>> Also crank up Mike Evans. You can turn

55:08it back.

55:08>> Turn back the clock. I guess it depends

55:09on which way you twist it.

55:10>> Counterclockwise. We're turning it back.

55:12Cranking it up. Turning it counter

55:14regular.

55:14>> I I'm with you in the short term.

55:15>> In the short term, he has because I was

55:17looking at him more as a wide receiver

55:19four. Uh wide receiver, low end wide

55:20receiver three, high end wide receiver

55:22four. But now with this situation and

55:23the way he looked, especially this week

55:25against Miami, guys, like he's he's

55:26going to crush here. And he gets Arizona

55:28next week. Two really good games in a

55:30row for Mike Evans.

55:31>> All right,

55:33let's rank a couple of stupid things,

55:34guys.

Top 3 Sports Movies of all time

55:35>> This is our ranking show. We have to

55:36rank something uh random, too. I mean,

55:38>> we're gonna bring together our top

55:40sports movies, and we would love to know

55:42in chat, what are your favorite top

55:43sports movies? And we want to know

55:46>> what you guys think about our list.

55:47>> That's that's key, right? We, you know,

55:48the Emmys were just on, there's award

55:50shows, like they're like the most you

55:52people studying. What's the It's not

55:54like the objectively best. It's our

55:56favorite, right? That's right. It's our

55:57favorite sports movies.

55:59I don't know if you guys agree with

56:00this, but last week like if you guys

56:03propose one of the names or one of the

56:04places to have a bad emergency bathroom

56:07situation, I was going to pivot. Like my

56:09favorite movies are my favorite movies.

56:11So if we happen to share a pick, like

56:13that's fine by me. Like I will gladly

56:14share a pick with you guys. By the way,

56:16this was hard to

56:17>> This is hard to cut down.

56:18>> Yeah.

56:18>> How many did you do? Three. You did

56:20three.

56:20>> I did top three, but I have probably I

56:22cut it down to like eight. I wish I have

56:24a list, but I

56:25>> I have one honorable mention. Can I Can

56:26we give an honorable mention if everyone

56:27>> if you want to? Yeah, go for it. Yeah.

56:28>> My honorable mention is the only

56:30football movie that's on the list for

56:31me.

56:31>> Wow.

56:32>> And that's a Rudy.

56:33>> Oh, I have Rudy on my honorable mention

56:34list. Yeah,

56:35>> good movie.

56:36>> Did you just

56:37>> What? You

56:39>> Sean Aton.

56:40>> Oh, man. Come on. Rudy's a classic.

56:42>> Seriously, Field.

56:43>> Good. Not the best football movie of

56:45all.

56:45>> Oh, okay. All right. Well, why don't we

56:46start with you? Number three on your

56:48list.

56:48>> Oh, number three. Okay. Um, three is a

56:50curveball here.

56:52>> Almost. It's a hard ball. Do you guys

56:55remember that movie with Kiana Reeves? I

56:57don't know this one. You got to see it.

56:59It's really good. Hard. It's emotional.

57:02Uh Gbab. It's Ker Reeves like takes over

57:05a youth sports team in a city. It's like

57:08it's got all the emotions here. Okay.

57:09There's like some tragedy involved. Re

57:11is an amazing uh great movie. Hardball.

57:14Mike, you got to go watch this.

57:16>> We can watch it.

57:17>> We all love Yeah. I don't want to

57:19>> offseason view. I don't want to give too

57:21much away about the movie, but Hard Ball

57:23Baby, there's a great great soundtrack

57:25with it as well.

57:27>> Awesome movie. Kiana Ree, who's like one

57:29of my favorite actors and one of the

57:30coolest people alive. Hard ball number

57:32three for me.

57:32>> Mike, who's your number three?

57:33>> This was a number three was close. Uh,

57:35one and two pretty much stood out, but I

57:37ended up going with one that I just

57:38remember from childhood that I still

57:40like. Rookie of the year.

57:41>> Oh, good one.

57:42>> Rookie of the year. I just love that

57:43one. I don't know. There's something

57:44about just like the injury

57:45>> butt loving.

57:46>> Yes, exactly. So many good oneliners.

57:48The story line is amazing. Like I just I

57:50love that movie. It's one that reminds

57:51me of childhood. I love it.

57:52>> My number three also reminds me of

57:54childhood and it has the best sports

57:56montage in the history of all sports

57:58montages.

57:59>> It is Rocky 4.

58:01>> Taking on the Russian going on against

58:03Ivon Drago

58:05>> in the height of the Cold War. It was a

58:06very fun Rocky four was my number four

58:08one. I just I realize boxing isn't even

58:09a sport that I enjoy, but that counts as

58:10a sports movie.

58:11>> Of course it does.

58:12>> Yeah. And you could have chose you could

58:13have picked any of the rockets. could

58:14have picked any of them before.

58:15>> I felt I almost felt obligated, but I

58:17had to be true like with with what I

58:19didn't go Rocky and my

58:21>> list. No, no. Right.

58:22>> Guessing my final two will come up on

58:24either of your lists. Number two,

58:26>> remember the Titans.

58:27>> Okay.

58:28>> Amazing movie. Football themed.

58:29Obviously, RIP Hayden Penitenti. Really

58:32sad, huh? Yeah.

58:34>> Um, but just awesome. Great movie. Great

58:36TV show.

58:38>> Actually, not a great TV show. I thought

58:39there's like a I remember like a

58:41documentary on it, but there's a great

58:42movie. I'll tell you that much. All time

58:43great movie.

58:44>> That's great. Yeah, good one.

58:44>> It's a good movie.

58:46>> Am I next? You're next.

58:47>> Uh, mine is Come on, Sandlot.

58:49>> Oh, Sandlot.

58:51>> Sandlot. Speaking of like that July 4th

58:53scene. Like, uh, there's just so much.

58:55>> That's a great one. You know, Wendy,

58:57what's her last name? Peppercorn.

58:58>> Wendy Peppercorn.

58:59>> Peppercorn. Peppercorn. Yeah. Wendy

59:00Peppercorn. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Childhood

59:02crush for sure.

59:03>> Definitely. Yeah.

59:04>> Y.

59:04>> All right. My number two. Number two for

59:07me. Another baseball movie.

59:09>> Oh.

59:10>> How can you not get romantic about

59:12baseball, guys? Field the Dreams.

59:14>> It's Moneyball.

59:15>> Oh, Moneyball. I Moneyball. That was on

59:17my long list. Yeah,

59:18>> Moneyball is so good. I actually think

59:20this might be my favorite Jonah Hill

59:22movie, too. He does such a great job. He

59:24is so good. Him and Brad Pit both are

59:26unbelievable. It's a really fun.

59:27>> I'm surprised you have Moneyball in

59:28there, but I thought about it.

59:29>> I love it. I just think it's a really

59:30fun movie.

59:31>> Good memes. Yeah. Funny. Um, not even

59:33funny.

59:34>> No, there's some good humorous in there.

59:35Yeah, but like obviously more serious

59:38than funny. Yeah. Uh, number one,

59:39Miracle. Duh.

59:40>> Miracle. Do you guys have an American

59:42spirit or no?

59:43>> Wow, that's [laughter] okay. That's

59:44>> Miracle is amazing. Like if I want to

59:46get fired up about something in life, I

59:47just go watch Miracle or just go watch

59:49like any of the scenes.

59:50>> Okay.

59:51>> Miracle is awesome. Yeah.

59:52>> All right. I like that. I like that.

59:54None of Field's movies

59:56>> convinced that these were going to be I

59:58thought Miracle and Remember the Titans

59:59were layups.

59:59>> I knew my number one would not make

1:00:01either of your list. Anyone that knows

1:00:02me well knows where I'm going with this.

1:00:04Is

1:00:04>> Days of Thunder. Days of Thunder 2

1:00:06coming out soon.

1:00:08Yeah. The announced it at Daytona. Uh

1:00:11you've seen Days of Thunder, right?

1:00:12>> Yes. But I didn't know there was Days of

1:00:13Thunder Days of Thunder 2 coming out.

1:00:14Announced it pretty recently. Uh this

1:00:16one is for a lot of reasons. I don't

1:00:18think people know the extent of my

1:00:19relationship with Days of Thunder, but

1:00:21uh 21 straight years we went to the

1:00:24Coca-Cola 600 and that's the home of

1:00:26Hendrickk Motorsports and of NASCAR and

1:00:28where the movie was and where City

1:00:30Chevrolet the dealership is. And we've

1:00:32kind of made it our thing like we always

1:00:34visit the barn from the movie. We've

1:00:36gone to the original City Chevrolet

1:00:37dealership and like we have I have all

1:00:39this merchandise. I have wood from the

1:00:41original barn from the movie. We have

1:00:43every We've met Rick Hendrick and held

1:00:44the movie. We used to take City

1:00:46[clears throat] Chevrolet stuff to the

1:00:47Hendrick Museum and leave it there and

1:00:49stuff. It just became like people knew

1:00:50us thing. So that movie uh really close

1:00:53to my family. It's always been kind of

1:00:55this bit we do every year. So

1:00:56>> who's in it? Who's in Day of Thunder 2?

1:00:58Who's going to be acting in?

1:00:59>> Um it is um

1:00:59>> Tom Cruz is coming back.

1:01:00>> It's uh you knowing on the actress. It's

1:01:04someone very famous and yeah it out. I'm

1:01:07sure there'll be many cameos. Uh, we

1:01:09lost Robert Duval unfortunately this

1:01:10year as well, so he won't be involved.

1:01:12But, uh, yeah. No, Nicole Kimman, I

1:01:14don't think will be in this one.

1:01:15>> I [laughter] don't think so either.

1:01:16>> Every time I see Mike on the road

1:01:18whenever we are driving by each other,

1:01:19he always comes up and hits me just a

1:01:21little bit and then drives past me and

1:01:22just yells out, "Robin's racing,

1:01:24Daniel."

1:01:24>> Yeah, that's always how it works.

1:01:26>> What do you got, Daniel?

1:01:27>> My last one is the best sports movie of

1:01:29all time.

1:01:29>> In your opinion?

1:01:31>> And it is the movie Rounders.

1:01:33>> Oh.

1:01:34>> Yes. [laughter]

1:01:35Okay. kind of a little bit of a like

1:01:37>> we think it's it's it's it's sports.

1:01:39>> Sports. We show it on our air. Poker is

1:01:42a sport. Absolutely.

1:01:44>> Teaching my kids that game.

1:01:45>> 100%. There's a skill involved with it.

1:01:48Unbelievable cast in that. Amazing.

1:01:51[clears throat]

1:01:51>> It's so good. Poker is a sport. If

1:01:53anyone has a problem with poker being a

1:01:54sport, tweet at me, Mike Clay NFL,

1:01:57our people will be mad about racing

1:01:58being called a sport of poker. I think

1:02:00just based on my my life.

1:02:02>> By the way, quick quick ones. I have to

1:02:04mention these Mighty Ducks, Tallaladega

1:02:06Knights, Bull Durham. That there that

1:02:07was the rest of my couple of look, we

1:02:09got something in our chat we want to

1:02:10give some homage to as well really

1:02:12quickly before we get out of here from

1:02:14chat.

1:02:15>> These are some of their favorite sports

1:02:16movies. Yeah, dodgeball has to be one

1:02:18there.

1:02:19>> Dodge, that's an old school one. Got

1:02:21some love for hockey.

1:02:22>> Yeah.

1:02:23>> Radio. Oh, Cuba Gooding Junior, right?

1:02:26>> Yes, of course.

1:02:27>> Yeah, Muddy Ducks. Bad news bears. Of

1:02:29course, that's always a good one. Always

1:02:31love Bad News Bears. Gilmore.

1:02:33>> You didn't even mention Happy Gilmore.

1:02:34Yeah. Sports comedy.

1:02:36>> Uh

1:02:37the hottie shack. By the way, do you

1:02:39guys watch The Hawk? The new show that

1:02:40was

1:02:40>> Bill Murray all time.

1:02:42>> Oh yeah, I thought about that one.

1:02:45>> Oh, Water

1:02:48today Junior.

1:02:48>> Yeah. A couple of good Adam Sandler is

1:02:50good with sports movies actually.

1:02:51>> Some high quality. What was the NBA

1:02:53movie that he did? Uh

1:02:54>> it was Uncut Gems.

1:02:55>> Uncut Gems. That's right.

1:02:57>> Which that movie was wild. Yeah, Kevin

1:02:59was and Anthony Edwards were amazing

1:03:01athletes. By the way, Will Farrell just

1:03:03does every sport. So, he's covered like

1:03:05every single sport. You could just do a

1:03:07blanket over I really enjoyed the

1:03:08hockey.

1:03:09>> What was the What was the figure skating

1:03:10one that he did?

1:03:12>> Glory. Blazy.

1:03:12>> Blaz Glory. There's the basketball ones

1:03:14like the was the AB or the

1:03:17>> uh the Flint Tropics semi-pro.
