Welcome to Fantasy Focus!

0:00Fantasy. You're in the 0610 focus. Fantasy. Fantasy focus. >> What's up, friends? Welcome in to Fantasy Focus Football on a Tuesday alongside Mike Clay. Sorry about that. >> I have to do all the things. I have to turn my volume cuz you're yelling at me.

0:22I have to sweep out the show cuz I'm in field. >> Yeah. Give him the middle chair and look what happens. >> This is how it works. Mike demanding play >> all along. >> Check all my sources. >> Yes, absolutely. >> Check in on the kiddos. >> Make sure everything's okay. >> Yep. Got to do all the things. Tweet the

0:36show out. All that stuff. >> If it wasn't for if it wasn't for that, I really hope the field does tweet out the show wherever you're at, buddy. We really need you to do that. Yeah. I don't know what to do. So, hopefully that gets out there. Excited to hang out with you guys today. Um, did you know

0:48that Monday Night Football went into overtime? And then, in fact, it had multiple drives in overtime. It didn't end early. >> You don't know cuz you fell asleep. I was awake the entire time and then I was punched by that game today. >> Yes. On East Coast time. >> Did it Oh, did it go over midnight? I

1:03didn't even notice that. I didn't even notice. >> Yeah. Abs. Absolutely. >> Mike was too busy calculating EPAs in his head. >> Exactly. What else would I >> He was eyes deep in his Excel spreadsheets right now. >> I don't have a concept of time during the season. One long every minute. Um well, we got a bunch of stuff we're

1:19going to talk about on today's show. Not only is it a recap of that crazy Monday Night Football game, but we've got a long shots check-in. We're going to talk about our knockout leagues, who got eliminated, and who might be available there. Obviously, some waiverwire targets here in week six. Bunch of people are out. Four teams on buy. We'll

1:34dive into that. And then we got a couple of fun games at the end. >> Oh. >> Called is sustain sustainability the best ability. People say availability is the best ability in fantasy football. I want people to sustain some of the stuff. I would say beyond fantasy football, there are other things where sustaining is really important. >> I agree with you on that.

1:52>> Stamina is important. >> Yes. Yes. Durability on all of those things. But uh we're going to talk about that and a couple of guys there. And then we're going to dive into a quick uh fab budget game at the very end. It's going to be a lot of fun as we sometimes do. So we will have a good time with

2:05that. Quick shout out to our friends over at Trophy Smack. Head on over to trophymack.com. Use the promo code trophy week 6 for 10% off your order over there. And with that, my friends, let's dive into Monday Night Football.

Bills vs. Rams recap

2:16Rams and Bills, guys. 37-34. We got 71 points scored on Monday night. >> Bonanza over hit. >> Yeah, Josh Allen didn't do great throwing the football to be honest. Only 12 of 19 for 210 yards. But you know what he does do really well? >> Run. >> The dude is literally a Mac truck when he is out there as a running

2:36quarterback. 121 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Unbelievable. James Cook looked fantastic as well. Outside of the two fumbles that he had, 111 yards plus 25 touches, two touchdowns as well in this one. It was really just those two guys to be honest. Before we move over to the Rams, we had the conversation of like, hey, if DJ Moore

2:55doesn't go, guess what? Probably going to be a Keon Coleman game. >> Well, is >> Yeah, he did have one catch for seven yards and a touchdown. It was the end zone. >> Two targets. >> Okay, so if it wasn't Keon Coleman, it must have been a Dton King game. >> No, it wasn't him either. All right, one

3:09in a row. >> Yeah, one catch for seven yards there. Are there any other pass catcher? I mean, at this point, after seeing the first five weeks of the season, does it just feel like more of a you're going to be guessing which pass catcher, not named DJ Moore, will be the one to step up when he is out?

3:24>> Yeah, one of the weird changes this year for the Buffalo offense is they're throwing to the running backs more and not James Cook though, not James Cook. We saw Ray Davis have a big play last night. Ty Johnson, Ty Johnson has been very busy. Four for 72 last night. They love him in that role. They always have.

3:40Um, and that's not going anywhere. Now, the reason the receivers, the pass catchers didn't do much last night was because the running backs were leading the team in receiving by far. No one had, I think it was the fourth quarter and the two running backs had like 40 plus yards and no one else had more than seven yards.

3:54>> It wasn't until that Khalil Shakir >> in overtime. Yeah. So, uh, it was kind of an odd one. Josh Allen only attempted 19 passes because he didn't have to throw it very much. They were dominating this game on the ground last night. So, yeah, Allen's fine. We're still firing up Cook as a mid-range RB1. And uh when

4:09DJ Moore comes back, we love him, but that's that's about it right now. >> Yeah, Josh Allen spread it around to eight different pass catchers. Um I do think that the urge for DJ Moore from the coaching staff is going to be moved forward because obviously nobody wants Josh Allen to be putting his body in jeopardy like that. We know that there's

4:26a history of when that happens, what could also happen and the Super Bowl window at this team's avail. So, um you're right, when he passes the when he throws the ball just 19 times. Also, when you look at his rushing stats, we said 121, but can we contextualize that? Obviously, I think we all know he's the QB1 in rushing yards and rushing scores.

4:44Number two is Jaden Daniels, who missed time and has 203 rushing yards and two rushing scores. So, what a gap between one and two. >> Wow. He's been unbelievable so far this year. On the other side, let's talk about a non-rushing quarterback. Matthew Stafford couldn't be more opposite of Josh Allen if he tried, but he was

5:04unbelievable throwing the football again. Three passing touchdowns, looked fantastic. This is what he does when he doesn't utilize his legs. Puka Nakua, unbelievable performance. >> Very odd game. >> 24 targets, guys. The most targets since we saw Brandon Marshall had 28 back in the early 2000s, it feels like. Is there anything to say about this offense other

5:24than when the Rams are operating at the full efficiency that we expect? This is what you think. I think it's Puka, it's Devonte Adams, it's Kyron Williams, it's Matthew Stafford operating at a high level. It's It was a pretty chalk performance from a fantasy perspective. >> Yeah, it was. Devonte Adams scores the two touchdowns, which he was doing

5:38nothing for most of that game. Their game plan was clearly we're just going to get the ball in Puka's hands as much as they possibly can. At one point, he had a statline that looked like RJ Harvey's last week, but like the 10 the 10 catches for 72 yards. I was actually keeping tabs on this. He was before

5:52overtime uh before overtime started Puka Nua had set the record for fewest receiving yards with 15 plus catches all time uh for a non- running back. Austin Eckler had like a >> 18 catch. >> Wasn't Juell Robinson in that conversation a couple years ago. >> Wandell had one similar earlier in the game but as kept racking up catches the

6:13yardage just wasn't adding up and he was still under 100 yards. So he ended up with 138 and a touchdown because of overtime. But, um, yeah, I mean, look, he's right up there with JSN is obviously the the two best receivers in fantasy, no doubt about it. Um, pretty straightforward on Adams to your point. I think the other one, the other notable

6:31here is Kron Williams. The passcatching work has got him to a new level. I mean, he had eight targets. This is unheard of. He he just was never utilized this way. He's also dominating Blake Corm in carries over the last three weeks. But in terms of efficiency, >> I think that that's like what trips people up though because Cororm is the

6:49more efficient runner, but 67 yards through the air for Kron Williams. He's averaging nearly 22 fantasy points per game. I think he's the RB5. >> Yeah, and that's kind of where you should be ranked. That's where I was going with that. He usually was like a fringe RB1. I feel like now he's in that top five conversation because of the

7:04pass catching. Corm did have uh some some good production in the passing game last night as well, but it's still there. The separation between these two is still pretty massive. the Shawn McVey prefers Kiran and that doesn't seem to be going anywhere. >> I love the Rams schedule coming up. Arizona, the Raiders, the Chargers, Washington and Arizona again. Like I'm

7:22not really worried about any of those defenses to be honest. And I do feel like as much as I want Blake Cororm to be a thing unless he gets in the end zone, this is the Kairen Williams show. Maybe one of the most important insurance backs still in the NFL because you know, you know what he can do if he

7:37ever gets that role, but I'm not sure that we're at the point where you can utilize him as a standalone option yet. >> Yeah. as much as I wish. >> Yeah, Cororum last night was like best case scenario. Yeah. To get a long catch and then more receiving. I think they target for 53. >> That never happens for BL.

7:51>> Yeah. It's it's unheard of. Um >> you want weeks one and two he had it was like an even split in carries which is like oh we thought might it might trend that way this year. The gap has just widened massively the last three games. >> That meme was so good. It was an office meme. >> Oh man, I missed it.

8:07>> It was a it was a great one. I love that. But um this is why you should watch the YouTube chat for YouTube feed. >> When I watch film later of the pod as I normally do, you know, I'll catch it. >> I appreciate that you were locked in to your analysis and you weren't paying attention to what was good. Good for

8:20you. Yeah, exactly. There you go, Mike. Here you go. The Rams super team after five weeks. It's hilarious. >> Rams and Jets both two and three. Unfortunately, >> Rams are better than that. They'll be okay. >> All right, let's talk about some long shot checks. Well, anything left for Monday Night Football. You guys good with Monday Night Football? I feel like

8:36>> Nope. If you have any of the guys we talked about, you start all of them every single week. That's not going to change. >> The note I had was that Matthew Stafford has thrown for over 300 yards in four straight games and has nine passing scores over that time. >> That's pretty good, Liz. >> Given the upcoming schedule, we expect

8:50those numbers to stay steady. >> Yeah, I'm with you. Right back on that QB1 conversation. >> Love it. All right, let's dive into some long shots here. We had a few. >> Girl, I had to Google some of these names. >> Close as you probably should have to. >> Elijah Higgins had an endzone target. Almost got in the end zone early in the

Longshots recap

9:06game. actually wasn't terrible. Bryce Lance for field. No, did not get in. Mike, you had Eli Raridan. >> Yeah. Who played a lot in this game, had a couple uh big plays in the game, just couldn't find the end zone. That's been the story of our season. We are pick We are >> doing basically what like Adam and Field

9:21do on Sunday's long shots. Like that's what we're accidentally doing. We're not getting the touchdowns. We are getting the targets, catches, and yardage this season. So, uh I like the cowing pick, too. He ran as the number three receiver in that game. Kind of shared with Brandon Cook. So, >> not bad. Not bad on the pick. >> Great. Mike. Eli Rearen cleared 10

9:37points. >> We need to Yeah, that's what it is. I like went and did all of these numbers. It was I pretended to be Mike Clay and I had a super calculator and I was like, "Wow, Mike's really good." And then I compared them to your projection. I was like, >> "He's even better than he thinks he is."

9:50>> That's right. That's right. It was really close. >> That's Yeah, that's the problem. We're getting the yards and the targets and the catches. We need the touchdowns. >> Yeah, we got close. >> We'll get there. We're on We're on the right path. >> Good good uh good process, bad results. >> Absolutely. I'm with you on that one.

10:02All right, let's talk about some knockout league stuff here really quickly, my friends. In our knockout league, unfortunately, our good buddy Adam rank is no longer with us >> in our knockout league. >> Interesting. >> He has been knocked out. >> I heard he had some words for me after I was knocked out earlier this year on

10:19Fantasy Live. So, interesting. Interesting. >> We did talk about you getting knocked out. He unfortunately had to start two tight ends. Daltton Concaid one of them. If Daltton Concade had done anything without DJ Moore, he probably thought he had a chance. once he found out DJ Moore was ruled out. Didn't really work out that way. Chris Olive didn't help

10:35either, unfortunately. >> You know what's interesting? When I got knocked out, I Christian McCaffrey. It looks like Adam. >> Isn't that interesting? >> Adam rank added Christian overall pick potentially. Christian McCaffrey is not winning people their knockout league. >> He knocked two people out now. >> How about that? >> Would uh I'm I'm eliminated from that one. But I am alive. And my other two my

10:56other two uh knockout teams are very good. So, I'm uh I'm feeling pretty good. McCaffrey. >> I I think I in one of them. I believe I do own one. >> We'll see how that stands. >> I was going to say with CMC going on because he's a you know you and I feel a certain way. I know I know Mike and

11:09Field feel a certain way about him and I think the industry like you can definitely have one of two thoughts on the way that you look at Christian McAffrey. >> How much would you use of your budget if you know that CMC >> I had all uh CMC I still view him I would say as a mid to backend uh

11:23firstrounder for drafting today. So, I would say >> 40 to 50% sort of in that range. I mean, if you >> cuz he's a set and forget if you if you're getting him off of waiverss for this knockout league. Your plan is that you put him in the running back spot this week and he stays there the rest of

11:38the season and never comes out. >> Yeah. Depends on how much you've left. Of course, you're always adjusting for that what what is left in the league. But, yeah, I mean, I'm I'm uh I'd go pretty aggressive, especially if I'm bidding against you to Yeah. >> Yeah. Because I know your bids will be low. Luckily for that, we uh are not

11:53bidding against Michael because we're still in the league. So >> I'll bid in my other leagues. >> I'll I'll talk with Adam rank about about being mean to you. >> Yeah. Well, >> I'm going see him today. >> I'll bring it up on Wednesday. >> All right. All right. We'll do more there with the Knockout Leagues. Very

12:07excited to see what else we can grab from the Knockout Leagues. I don't think I'm going to go after Kyle Pitts in that one, guys. Probably going to leave him on waiverss. >> I know. He's trending up. >> No, Michael. >> No. >> No. Honestly, you look at the squad, he's got CMC, Chris Olive, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Jefferson. Like, he

12:23got screwed that Lamar Jackson was hurt this week. >> Get Trevon Henderson, too, right? >> Wait, he didn't use Did he not use Jefferson? >> He he he started Mai Lemon this week. >> That was a That was a mistake. >> Maybe. Yeah, I'm not sure. >> Word. Anyway, >> the next thing here in week six, guys.

12:41>> Couple of waiver targets. This is where

Week 6 Waiver Wire

12:42we really make our money, guys. Couple of key players that are on buy here in week six. We got four. No squads, Lions, Bengals, Vikings, Dolphins, which means Jir Gibbs, Jared Goff, Aman RA. You also got Sam Laora and J Mo, Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, Chase Brown, T. Higgins, Justin Jefferson. >> Use Aaron Jones anymore. Ali Gordon.

13:02There's a handful of guys here that we are going to have to make up for. So, we're going to start at the quarterback spot, guys. Let's start with Jordan Love, if you don't mind. I'd love to. I'm just going to bring a couple names to the table. Well, I want you to tell me yes or no if you're interested or not

13:15interested as off of at >> Okay. >> interested in adding them off of waiverss. Okay, there we go. I can speak. >> Jordan Love. Jordan Love's been really good. Three of his five games, 300 plus passing yards. All five games. F uh two or more passing touchdowns, but he only has one top 10 finish. The thing for me

13:33this week is we've seen a lot of volume. The running game isn't great. He goes up against the Dallas Cowboys this week. I feel really good about the matchup. rostered in 47.9% of leagues. I think that if for me I would grab him off of waiverss and I could immediately put him in my starting lineup this week. Do you

13:48guys feel the same? >> Yeah, I agree 100%. This is my favorite Jay Love right now because I'm a little angry with my other love at the moment. Uh but yeah, look at the and I'll give you props for this because you talked a lot about it during the offseason was what's once the Josh Jacobs stuff happened.

14:04>> Would Green Bay just flip to a very pass heavy approach and they are the third pass heaviest offense in the NFL. They have no run game and they have leaned heavily into the pass. So, good call by you and it has worked out for uh Jordan Love in the passing game. Obviously, I will say this, he's doing a very Matthew

14:18Stafford like uh his his production so far. He has negative two rushing yards so far in seven carries. So, he's hurting you there, but he is making up with like like you said, two passing touchdowns in every game this season. Um they've also had a hard schedule. I have them with the league's hardest quarterback schedule so far this season. It is

14:36eighth easiest going forward. Wow. And that starts this week of course against Dallas. They have zero interceptions, only five sacks, the worst EPA against the pass. They've allowed 10 passing touchdowns and their fourth most fantasy points at quarterback. So I think if you're looking at the streamer of the week at quarterback last week, he was Shakobe Brassette. This week, Jordan

14:53Love. >> Agree. He's cleared 15 f I'm sorry, he's cleared 18 fantasy points in three of five weeks. He's coming off his best performance against the Bears. Obviously, uh clearing 25 fantasy points. And just again to contextualize all of the beautiful stats that Mike listed, Dallas Cowboys gave up 14 fantasy points to Jaylen Daniels >> on prime time. Yeah. So it's obviously

15:15getable. I think he's probably the number one quarterback stream at the position. >> And given what you're saying, not just a stream, but if you add him this week and he looks good with the matchups that he has season, I feel like he might be a guy that he just becomes your RB or QB2 just sitting on the back of your bench

15:29for if you ever need him. >> Yeah, don't forget he's not an RBD. He's a negative running back. Yeah, he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He just has been in a system that really protects its defense and has been very conservative. Matt Lafler's offense moves at the slowest pace of anyone in the NFL, but now he's actually throwing

15:44the ball more. So, uh, that could get him to the next level. I do wonder and I know we're going to talk about some of a pair of his pass catchers a little bit later, but I do wonder if and when Josh Jacobs comes back and the run game becomes more efficient >> and maybe once of the once some of the

15:59defensive pieces start to get healthier if that passing production dips. But >> we like to live in the present. It's a head-to-head week toe game. That's right. >> Uh so for week six, yes, >> if you can't grab Jordan Love, the other quarterback I would look at, which I can't believe I'm going to say this, >> is Aaron Rogers pass. Honestly, three

16:16straight games with three passing touchdowns, guys. Three straight games as a top 11 quarterback. He's been throwing the ball quite a bit more than I expected this year. Again, this is probably more of like a oneweek streaming option than maybe I would think of for Jordan Love. But how do you feel about Aaron Rogers as an option in

16:33case you can't grab Love off the waiverss this week? >> I mean, I don't feel great. I >> I I don't love it. I mean, I also think the matchup is more difficult at Tampa Bay. The obviously the Dallas matchup is, but yes, >> um Aaron Rogers is a is available in 80% of leagues. Love only available in

16:51barely over 50% of leagues. So, this might be a situation where you have to where the the choice is made for you. >> A lot of people in our chat right now are saying, you know what, I love Jordan Love, but he is rostered in the league that I'm in already. So, he depends on Yeah, he's available in half of league.

17:05right now. So, Love might be out there, maybe he's not, but uh I don't think Rogers I think he could probably do a little better for a streaming option. Yes, he has had all these touchdowns over the last few weeks. They've scored a ton of touchdowns through the air this season. 91% that's highest in the NFL. >> Um but he's been in the 22 to 23 fantasy

17:22point range in all three of those games. So, that's what it's taken. It's taken three pass yardage to get there. He has 18 rushing yards on the season. He's not going to help you out there. Remember, we saw what you're usually going to get from Rogers in weeks one and two when he had a combined 16 and a half fantasy

17:36points against Atlanta and New England. Uh the schedule gets harder going forward for them now. And I agree with you. I think this is more of a neutral matchup than an easy matchup. So I I think he could probably do better. >> Also, Kirk Cousins, I know we forgot about him last week because he was on by. He gets the Bills in week six. So if

17:50we're going to stream, I would have him ranked ahead of Rogers. >> Cousins over Rogers. The risk with Cousins right now is if he struggles again like he did last week, he'll get the hook from Meno soon. Could happen anytime now. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. No, good call. Yeah, like the matchup. >> Let's talk about some running backs,

18:04guys. To be honest, we're going to have some guys that are going to start here and I don't really like any of them if we can be on. And just for me, I don't like any of them. David Montgomery doubtful probably not going to play in this one. We're assuming once he went out, Woody Marks took over every single

18:18snap except for the kneel down. So, he was the running back that was back there taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, which is a 9:30 a.m. game. As a reminder, it is the morning game. >> I don't think that I really I mean, I'm going to add Woody Marks because he's more valuable than whoever is at the end

18:33of my bench, but I don't really want to start him this week >> because of the matchup >> because of the matchup against Jacksonville. Do you guys feel the same way where it's if David Montgomery is out, he absolutely needs to be added, but would you be looking at him as someone you want to play this week?

18:45The thing is there's four teams on a buy, a lot of running back injuries. I think that gets him into the flex conversation, but I agree there's there's some risk here. I mean, he's last year he was the lead back for a lot of the season. There's a lot of volume, but he had 220 touches last year. He

18:59averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game. Only had five touchdowns. So, one top 10. He'd won top 10 last the whole last season. So, and now, of course, as you mentioned, you're playing Jacksonville allowing two and a half yards per carry and have they've allowed the fewest yards to running back so far this season. So, he wasn't good in this role

19:14last year, >> correct? >> Yes, he's going to have a big workload in this one. Dario Okamala is on the roster. He'll he'll get some run as well as a change of pace, but I think at at best he's a flex oper. >> I'm going to push back on that because in my mind, and you might think about it

19:30differently, >> with the state of the running back position, >> Mhm. I'm not flexing basically any running back that would be in the flex radar because they're so awful. I would almost always default to a wide receiver given what wide receiver could be in flex because by the time we get to the he might be a flex option for you, I

19:50don't want to start that running back. I got to have a wide receiver that's projected to >> get more points in that more often than not. So, while I understand what you're saying that like you might have to do it, I don't think that like in in a good lineup, you're not playing Woody Marks this week. I don't know. I think that

20:05running backs in Mike's defense have a tendency to have the goal line equity in a way that obviously wide receivers don't. So if you're hedging those bets and how many times yesterday did we say halfway through the show that even uh that every running back we were talking about was touchdown dependent. Yeah. >> Right. So and I think what we're hearing

20:21right now also looking at Marx's last season he didn't he showed that he was not necessarily up to the task of being a primary ball carrier if you will full time. And so if he is now running, if he is touchdown dependent and facing the Jags, a team that's allowed just two rushing scores to the running back

20:38position, that is where I would start to hedge. But I do think it's matchup dependent. And we have to imagine that >> we know this defense, we saw it last week, starting to get a little bit better, right? Demo Ryan has taken over. So there is a lift here. It's maybe not astronomically quick like we would like,

20:52but for streaming purposes, we wouldn't like it at all. But regardless, that should help the efficiency, right? And if Marvin Harrison Jr. has any of the theoretical, to use Fields term, uh, value that we saw, then maybe this offense starts to get a little bit better as well. And what does that mean for Marks, right? I do think he's going

21:11to continue to like have the ball. We don't know how long this groin injury is going to linger for. >> Is theoretical a field term? Is that >> said yesterday, if you would listen to the show, Mike, that um >> I was busy. >> MHJ, >> I had an off day. I was napping. What up, >> MHJ? I subbed in for you. um that MHG

21:29and happily I'm glad you enjoyed your day. Um that MHJ has theoretical value, right? We can actual we don't know yet, but there is theoretical value based on the draft capital, etc., etc. Um so >> he didn't make up the word. >> No, he didn't. >> Oh, okay. I never I'm not used to him using big words, so I didn't

21:45>> That's true. That's true. I didn't know that was a thing. >> Anyway, I think that the Houston Texans offense might be in for a boost in efficiency. And as much as I was on the other side of it, it if you take away the second running back of the potential committee and then it mostly all goes to

21:59Woody Marks, that does give him a little bit more of a bump because of that. >> And by the way, remember four teams on a buy, wide receivers has been kind of a mess in the middle area. So if you look at like the mid30s at receiver this week, we're talking like Stefan Diggs at San Francisco. McConi who's struggling

22:14at the Chiefs who have been terrific. Jaylen Wadd has struggled. He gets Seattle. Downs, Trey Tucker, Xavier Worthy, Kenan Allen, AD Mitchell if he comes back. I mean, Jacobe Myers, like these are >> I think you're looking at the >> tough these are your flex decisions like especially in 12 team leagues could have some value. But anyway, I think we made

22:31our point. Let's move ahead. Let's talk about one more two more running backs here. Damen Pierce going to be the running back for the Philadelphia Eagles after Will Shipley got banged up. Yeah, unfortunately. Um, they said I think I don't know if it was you or if it was Field that said the Eagles wanted to keep it a secret. They didn't want

22:45anyone know that Damen Pierce was on their practice squad because they think they have a real NFL running back. that real NFL running back had 11 carries for 14 yards. Yeah. >> No, that was his highest touch game uh since week 18 of 2024. >> Yeah, it's uh it was not good. He had 16 opportunities in at 12 yards in that

23:04game. Uh they were playing Jacksonville, we just mentioned, very good against running backs. They get the Panthers this week. They're allowing 5.4 yards per carry to running backs. That is highest in the NFL. So, better matchup. Um the Panthers have been better since that. A lot of that was the week one game against Chicago to running backs.

23:18So they've been a little bit better as of late, but this is one of them plays where it's just a matter of if he if Barkley's out, he might get 18 touches in this game. So he's very much like Woody Marks where he's on the flex radar, but remember Saquon Barkley could return in this week. So this might be it

23:34might not matter. >> If you Is Damen Pierce more valuable than the last person on your roster going into waiverss tonight? >> I think it depends on your circumstances. If you feel like your starting lineup's not affected by buys and injuries and it's filled out, I wouldn't even bother with Pierce cuz if you're not going to start him anyway,

23:50like >> there's no long-term value either. >> Exactly. Right. Yeah. Barkley, if he's out one more a week, which again, he could play this week, but if he's not, it's at the most this week and that's it. Okay. I would imagine. Let's >> That's how I feel, too. One more really quickly. Marshon Lloyd at least did some

24:02things this last week, guys. Even though we talked about how it has been the pass catchers, is there anything going up against Dallas this week, coming off of a two touchdown game where you're like, "All right, I might add him this week just to stream him with all the other running backs we talked about?" I I mean

24:14I think he's an endto-bench guy right now. I I don't think I want to start him yet. He's still averaging 2.8 yards per carry and split snaps with Pierre Strong in this one. Uh his usage would have been a little higher if it wasn't a blowout because um everything from Caleb Johnson who had seven carries was to

24:28finish the game. He didn't he was playing zero snaps until late in that game. So right now they're going with Lloyd and Pierre Strong. But again, it was an even split in snaps. They're using multiple backs. He's not playing well. He's never had 50 yards in a game in his career yet for Marshon Lloyd. So even in a theoretical good matchup

24:45against Dallas, uh not not super interested here. >> Dallas is allowing the seventh most fantasy points to opposing running back. So I think if we are in desperation mode, like if you are a manager who picked up Olli Gordon and has just been surviving off of those touchdowns and now you don't have him this week. Yeah, I think you have to work with Marshon

25:03Lloyd. >> Yeah, I think Lloyd and uh Markx and if Barkley's out Pierce, they're all in the same vicinity. They're like all early to mid20s in a running back ranking. So, ideally, you're not starting them, but you could probably do worse uh in your flex. >> And what you're hoping for Marshon Lloyd is exactly what you got last week. Like,

25:20you're kind of chasing touchdowns if we're being honest. Like, that's that's how he's going to make his hey for you is just following >> be a lot of points in this game. The overunder is 52 and a half. So, I mean, there's >> Let's talk about some wide receivers. >> Oh, this is more fun. At least the first

25:32name. >> Um Oh, who do you have as your first name on your list? >> Uh the Steelers. >> Got All right. I just want to make sure that your first name is not the same as my first name. Michael Pitman Jr. on IR. Roman Wilson out this week. It feels like Jeremy Bernard has been the one

25:44that has stepped up. Eight plus targets in two of his last four games. The other two games we won't talk about. He just wasn't utilized very much. But six for 80 and nine targets this last one for 14.4 fantasy points taken on Tampa. At least worth an ad here on waiverss this week given the way that Aaron Rogers is

26:01out there slinging it. >> Yeah, I don't think it's or I should let me reword that. I think it's possible Bernard could find his way into the flex conversation moving forward this season. Is it possible that he just takes the number two job going forward and you know that DK Metaf's target ceiling is kind of limited. He's never going to be

26:19a 30% target share guy. He's generally going to be closer to 20 or 22% and be utilized a lot near the goal line. But Michael Pitman hasn't shown much yet. He doesn't have much trust from Aaron Rogers. Bernard does. He is Bernard has barely played this season. He has two games already with eight or more targets. I know

26:33>> Roman Wilson has flashed a little bit, but he had exactly six targets in every game. Jeremy Bernard was his second round pick. You you draft a guy in the second round >> Alabama. >> Yeah, exact >> by way of Washington. But yes, >> sure. Sure. But you you draft a guy there to be a long-term starter to be a

26:47number two at worst in your offense. So, um I'm optimistic here. He led led the wide receiver room in routes and targets last week. And I mentioned this earlier, but the Steelers offense, and this has been an Aaron Rogers staple for a long time, especially during his Packers heyday, they've scored a league high 91% of their touchdowns through the air this

27:03season. So, uh, that presents opportunities near the goal line for Bernard, Metaf, Frier, Muth, uh, and they're playing Tampa Bay right now, uh, midpack against wide receivers so far this season. But a real opportunity for a rookie who has earned Rogers trust to play a big role. He'll be a priority of mine. and came out of college being

27:20hailed as quite polished as a route runner and also a really good tackle breaker. So, this isn't a developmental um high ceiling RA score type of player. Yeah. >> In fact, quite the opposite. >> Excuse me. >> And with Michael Pitman being on IR, you know, it's going to be a number of weeks until he comes back. So, that role

27:35should probably be available for him to be >> Yeah. This is his opportunity to to not be able to put the cat back in the bag. He is a few weeks here and maybe he just takes this job and runs away with it. >> Uh sort of like we saw Kendrick Bourne do. Obviously, the Cardinals couldn't wait to unlock this guy. All right, now

27:48the Marvin Harrison Jr. is gone. By the way, if Marvin Harrison Jr. for some reason was on waiverss >> because someone cut him loose and they were over it. Yeah, >> he he would obviously be the first wide receiver waiver target I would add this week. >> Um >> would you take him over Bernard? >> Bernard. Yeah, I don't know. I I don't

28:05think that especially with Nico Collins there and the defense playing better. Like if you think look if you think Houston's defense is just going to be they're going to regress to early season and they're going to be atrocious and they're going to have to throw the ball a ton. Maybe there's something there for Harrison if he wins that two job, but I

28:20I I'm pessimistic about that. I think the defense is going to be good. They're going to remain balanced. They're going to be more competitive. They're going to be able to run the ball. You still have Nico Collins handling a huge share of the targets. We don't even know if Harrison's going to be good. How long's it going to take to learn the playbook?

28:33I think he's worth an end to bench. >> Takes time. >> But I'm more I'm more interested in Bernard at least for the short. >> I think what Mike said too about this being the opportunity for Bernard is massive, right? And Harrison's situation is different because there's so much more to learn and he doesn't necessarily I think the thing that everybody is

28:50excited about is the CJ Strad um MHJ connection from college, right? And that just automatically picking up where it left off, but that's not a realistic expectation. >> Yeah. You don't just like slide right. It's not Madden. You don't just pick up a controller and get like right back into the groove. It takes some time to be able to get there. Yeah. So then with

29:06Kendrick Bourne obviously being unlocked in this one, five catches for eight or 70 yards on eight targets against my Detroit Lions. Is it worth an ad or was this a hey, they played the Detroit Lions and they were trailing the entire game and someone else had to catch >> although they might do that a lot. That's that's what you're hoping for a

29:20pass on Bourne. He had the big week one, he disappeared for three weeks. Uh even in this game, what I noticed was he was playing fewer snaps than Jaylen Brooks. Uh and actually Elijah Higgins as well. They won more 12 personnel, your guy. >> That's why I took him. Uh, so they went a little different direction, a wide

29:36receiver. And honestly, I I don't know what they're going to do at receiver. Like, I don't think you want to run Borne and Brooks out there all season. Maybe Jaylen Virgil, a rookie, gets a run at some point, but I don't know if they actually do. I don't know. They're they're not super competitive. So, it's be weird to trade for like

29:52>> Jerry Judy or something. Like, I don't think they're going to do that. But, I I don't know. I I just don't think Borne's going to be near consistent enough to be a flex option. I like him this week. So I and and I >> I like Borne this week. Yes. Against the Rams. Um mostly because well we saw um

30:08obviously the Rams gave up more on the ground than they did through the air, but that's was the way the game went, right? But um there are so many points available and we know that Arizona is going to be chasing them and we know that Borne is one of these um vetted, experienced players. Now if M. Jones was

30:25under center, I'd start him in a heartbeat. But I think that there is some play here. I do think there's some flex appeal and I I like his sleeper potential in this particular week. I love your point about the snaps um and how they are being, you know, given throughout the team, but I I I think that there's more here than a simple

30:42like shy away. Okay. >> I'm a little more intrigued. >> Well, he's available in 98 and a half% of leagues. So there you go. >> You can grab him. You know, >> not for me though. >> Probably also available in 98% of leagues. Unfortunately with Debo Samuel expected to miss a number of weeks with a hamstring injury. Brandon Cooks

30:57stepped up, got in the end zone. Guys, knowing that it's just been a battle of attrition there for 49ers as pass catchers, do you think that Brandon Cooks is worth the look? >> Uh, maybe. Only three targets so far since joining the team, but there's a real opportunity to maybe be their number two or three receiver for a few

31:13weeks. Did score a touchdown last week. Uh, and this week they're playing Washington. So, I'm not going to start Brandon Cooks, but maybe a DFS punt. Although, I don't. My DFS punts last week were Casey Conpion and Roman Wilson. So, that was rough. That was a rough one. So, maybe don't listen to me there, but uh obviously six. Would you

31:30rather roll out Bourne or Brandon Cooks? If you were in an emergency sit uh I have them actually, it's funny. Uh I have my rankings 66th and 68th. >> Okay. No, neither. >> Who's 66th? >> Brandon Cooks. >> Uh yeah, I mean, look, Washington's allowed the second most catches to receiver. So yeah, if you think he could

31:50catch three or four balls and score a touchdown in the in one of the best offenses in the NFL, sure. I mean, he's not the worst yard throw, but uh I I this is more for maybe 12 plus team leagues at at best. You know who I like as a pass catcher more than any of those guys. Brenton Strange the last two weeks

32:05at the tight end spot. Eight targets back-to-back weeks, seven catches back-to-back weeks. Seven for 95 for 16 and a half fantasy points against the Bengals in week four. 7 for 68 for 13.8 and eight fantasy points against the Eagles in week five. Now they take on the Houston Texans. Has Houston up until last week against the Titans. Not been

32:25very vulnerable against pass catchers this year. They have, my friend. So I like Brentton Strange as a streaming tight end this week. How about you guys? >> Interesting. Uh I do not really. I'm at 13. I'm not I'm not over the top. I think the question is we view him as a tight end one yet 15. >> Four teams on a buy. I mean, yeah, he's

32:43I don't >> this week, this week he's a streaming option. >> I guess the the question is, is he back like is he now a back-end tight end one or is he still maybe an occasional streaming option? I think it's I think it's the latter uh right now. Houston, by the way, has not allowed a touchdown to a tight end so far this season. Yeah.

32:59I And look, Strange does lead the Jags in targets over the last three weeks with 21, which is impressive to be leading that group, but it's still a very crowded group. Um he started slow earlier this season and last year uh he was in a very similarly crowded but high-scoring offense similar to this year. He averaged five targets and 9.8

33:16fantasy points per game. So I think you're he's going to be one of them tight ends that goes like this throughout the season. But it feels more Dalton Schultz than it is Sam Laaporta. You know that's how it feels to me. So I'm not going out of my way to spend fab in the top. We're going to rank him

33:30between tight end 12 and 15 every single week and then you're just going to throw a dart and hope that that's the week that hits. Okay. So, exactly what I said. He's a streaming tight end for you. Gotcha. Thank you guys. I appreciate that. >> You said this week. I said, "No, I'm at 13, so I'm not going to use him against

33:44Houston, who hasn't allowed a touchdown yet." >> I would disagree with that. If you say 13, and you often talk about 12 team leagues, and you say the tight end that's 13 is in a streaming option in 12. >> I don't want to use him this week, though. >> I It was >> I don't want to spend fab on the

33:57>> Okay, guys, guys, guys. These are semantics. >> I Okay, I mean, we're talking waiverwire. I don't want to spend money on them. >> That's fair. You don't have to spend money on them. I get my money. hard earned cash. >> Okay. How about the tight end that just catches touchdowns from one of your favorite quarterbacks, Pat Friouth.

34:10Would you rather go with Pat Frymouth this week at the tight end as a streamer? >> One of my favorite quarterbacks. Wouldn't go that far. >> Well, yeah. I mean, he's thrown three plus touchdowns in three straight games. You do love >> He scored how many percentage of their touchdowns through the year? >> Most 90. >> 91.

34:23>> Yeah. All right. >> Over 90. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Look, uh, he's been he's been solid. Actually, even ranked ahead of Brand Britain stream. >> Are you serious? >> So, we have a streaming option now on our hands. >> Okay. We got a book. Tell us why you like. Yeah. No. Michael Pitman. know Roman Wilson. He has four touchdowns in

34:37five games. He has three end zone targets which doesn't seem like a lot, but in five games it is relative to the other tight ends. He's also 11th in targets and his three carries as well. He's doing his best Tyler Warren impression so far this season. By the way, his seven targets last week, his most since week 18 of the 2024 season.

34:54So, it's a little bit of a change this year for Fryman. So, I'm optimistic on this one. >> I am, too. He's going to be a Facts versus feelings player this week. Full disclosure, he's managed double digit fantasy points in three of his last five. If I'm getting that sort of consistency out of the tight end position, then I'm taking it. And like

35:08we talked about earlier, he is an established player. We are hoping Jeremy Bernard steps up to this opportunity. But we know that there is a safety valve available to Aaron Rogers who needs one in Frier move. >> I will say as well, if you do grab Brenton Strange, I would only grab him for this week because they have a buy

35:23the following week. It is a oneweek streaming. >> Sounds like a waste of fab to me, but what do I know? Are we board betting? >> That's a great question. Yes, let's do it, my friend. I say Pat Frier outscores Brenton Strange in week six. >> Go ahead. You can do it with him. >> Okay. I say Brett

35:37Frier. Yes. >> Yes. Outscores Brenton Strange. >> Are we going to put the thing? We got to do the thing. >> I say Brenton Strange outscores Pratt Friermouth in week six. Put it on the board. >> Put it on the board. >> You did great. You did great. Everyone crushed it. That was as smooth as it's ever been. Let's talk about defenses

35:53really quickly and then we can move on. A couple of streaming options. Would you take the Bears? No. Going up against the Atlanta. It was Tua. It's Tua. Tua's had one. >> Maybe we'll see. Pennock's on the fence to play. If Tua goes, it's more palatable. I'm still not I'm still not gonna >> still not there yet. All right. What

36:08about the Chiefs taking on the Chargers? Right now, we're looking at defenses rostered under 50% of the league. >> What team is most generous to opposing defenses so far this season? >> The Chargers. Chargers. Oh, okay. The Chargers. Okay. Got it. Got it. Got >> I'm still mad at Tua. Okay. >> You know that last So, that last play

36:24where Tua threw it or so second to last play, he hits Drake London. >> Yes. He gets me a point and a half or whatever it was. And I'm playing uh who was I facing? Joe. Yeah. In the FFC

Mailbag

36:34league. Need one more catch. I need a three- yard catch from Drake London to win that matchup. The next throw he throws to Drake London. It gets picked off and ends it. >> Brutal. >> Another It's two weeks in a row that happened to me. >> Wait, there's a vendetta. >> So, I'm still mad. So, you lost?

36:48>> I lost >> to Joe Forbraw. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Joe Forenbra. >> Okay. I love that. All right. Mailbag guys. Let's dive into the mailbag with you. Thanks for hanging out with us doing this show as well. And to our buddy Eric Moody, >> Eric and Moody on social media. Dude answers all your questions. We love him.

37:05Daniel wants to know, Olly Gordon or Woody Marks for the rest of the season. Daniel, I'm going to ask you to hold this conversation >> for about one more second. That's what I mean. Hold this question for about one more second. We're going to dive into it in the next segment, >> but boy is that a great question.

37:17>> Dove into it right now. >> Jayla wants to know, >> drop who's the strongest bench stash. >> Oh, >> what? >> Naji Harris or EMTT Johnson. You want to drop the strongest bench stash. >> Why don't you tell us why? >> You want to hold on to the strongest bench stash and that is Emtt Johnson. >> Yeah.

37:32>> Do maybe it's Dopp. >> Oh, so then you can answer it. Tell them why it's Emtt Johnson. >> Thank you, Liz. I think it's Emtt Johnson. >> Emma Johnson. I don't think Naja Harris in that. I mean, we're not seeing anybody in that uh back field. >> Yeah, this is one of them rankings versus projections sort of or stash

37:48verse projections because Harris will consistently project higher because week to week he's going to get six or seven touches. Johnson won't, but if the starter gets hurt, Harris goes up a little because they'll use multiple backs. >> No, Harris a little. But if Walker goes out, Johnson way up there. So that's why Johnson's the better stash. >> What does he do?

38:08>> Is that what he does? >> That's how it goes. Sweet. >> That's a sound that happens. >> It's one It's one of them sound effects. >> Yes. When you do when you hit save in the rankings, they go, >> by the way, I find it so charming when you say one of them. >> One of them.

38:18>> I love it. It's so charming and focus. Yeah. Red Alert 206 wants to know Jordan Love over Tyler Shuck. >> Yes, >> I think this week right now. Yes, >> I'm with you on that one. >> This weekend it's probably a conversation going forward. Although I don't want to punish Shuck too much for last week because anyone that runs into

38:36Minnesota, it's a >> 91% blit rate. Blitz rate. That's unbelievable. >> Yeah. >> All right, guys. Let's >> have one more. That's it. >> No, I think that was it. >> Okay. Okay. >> I guess let's answer that uh that question that was just on the board, right? Is that what we're doing now? >> Which question was on the board? Sorry.

38:50Thank you. Uh, we're not going to start there, but we will get there. Ali Gordon or Woody Marks for the rest of the season. You know what? Why not? Let's just start with that one. >> Answer the man. >> All right, we'll start with that one. Um, I wanted to throw a couple things at you guys. >> Sure.

39:03>> I've been looking at a couple of running backs. First off, I want to give a big shout out to our guy Eric Moody. I have been out and I have been notably out on

Can these players sustain their production?

39:12Ali Gordon and we talked about it here. I said I would not add him. I do not like it. He was in chat when I was saying all those things when we were all kind of like no I don't really like Ali Gordon outside of Devon Chan and he was like I adamantly disagree with them and I would add him don't listen to Daniel

39:25>> he was yes respectfully and Eric was absolutely right right shout out to Eric for being able for standing on business and being able to make that call because he has been good but that's kind of who I want to compare to some of these other dudes you look at where we've drafted some of these guys Hampton was a second

39:39round pick he's RB 25 in fantasy points Jeremiah Love was a third round pick he's RB22 two in fantasy points. Cam Scataboo was a fifth round pick, RB21 in fantasy points. And now Ali Gordon, who was undrafted, >> is RB26. And by the way, he's RB26 because the first two games in which he barely touched the ball count towards

40:01his points. >> If you just look at what he did, the three games that he was a starter, he's clearly scoring more points per game than all three of these dudes. So Mike, I kind of want to ask you with the strength of schedule moving forward as a big part of how we look at this I want you to help us and Liz, I want

40:17you to do this with me, too. I want to rank these running backs rest of season and it's going to hurt me, but I want to start with Amarian Hampton. When you look at everything Amarian Hampton has done, when you look at this Chargers offense, when you look at all of these things that he has with Keaton Mitchell

40:30in the back field and with the way way that they've utilized him, I still think he's the one with the most touchdown equity. >> I still think the one if the Chargers offense does get rolling, who do I think is the back that has the most upside? I still think it's Omari and Hampton. Mhm. >> What does the strength of schedule look

40:45like for the rest of the season? >> For Hampton, it does get a little tougher. It's not anything that's impossible. I know there for the passing game, it may be harder than this, but based on what we've seen so far, it's more of a tough schedule, not an impossible schedule. That being said, what is impossible is the offense for

41:00the Chargers right now. It's it's brutal right now. I mean, he has three touchdowns in five games, but just one game over 15 touches, 9.9 fantasy points per game. Just having six targets in five games is unacceptable. 3.7 yards per carry. I can go on and on. I mean, it's just been it's been a head scratcher. I mean, if there was I was

41:19down I was not nearly as high as most on the Chargers offense. But Marian Hampton, I thought could overcome that and still have a breakout season. It is not happening and he's not playing enough right now. They're using three running backs. >> So, you mentioned the targets, right? He only has five catches on the season as opposed to Katon Mitchell who is being

41:34used in that capacity and has 12 catches. Right now, Katon Mitchell is the RB17 in receptions and Hampton is the RB45 and he's not making up with any sort of efficiency on the ground. He's averaging 3.7 yards per carry. So, under four, that's never a great stat. I think honestly what we have to wonder about here is if

41:54Mike McDaniels does not >> if he loses his job and this offense changes, then I think there might be hope for Hampton. Of course, there's an adjustment period that would have to go into place, but running back tends to be the least affected in terms of time for that evolution to occur. So, there is a good chance I think McDaniel could get

42:12fired, in which case maybe Hampton has something saved. >> Yeah, I will I will say this >> last on my list. I think he certainly in that conversation is a close call for me. Um there was a play where Hampton got the ball. I can't remember if it was a run or a dump off, but it was a long

42:25run to the left, cut through, looked really fast, got in the end zone for a touchdown, and I said, "All right, there we And then I realized it was Kaman Evidall on Sunday. So, uh, not good. I mean, these other Mitchell's playing well as as well as well. >> He can do things that Hampton can't do. >> Yeah. I mean, the pro that's the

42:40problem. The other guys aren't struggling necessarily. So, I don't think they're going away. They might use more of it all. They've been using more of them the last couple of weeks. He had that long touchdown run. So, uh, this could be a three-headed attack for a while. I'm very concerned for him. >> Incredibly vexing. Unfortunately, only one game inside the top 20 at the

42:56running back position through the first five games of the season. So, we'll talk about that quickly though. We're going to do a little bit of an update. We got some news here. We're going to throw it on the screen. We do. Adam Shaft reporting that Trevan Henderson suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's win. Is now expected to be sidelined for

43:11multiple weeks per league. Sources he will not need surgery and he is regarded as a quick healer. Not sure where that information comes from. So, the Patriots are hoping that his return will be sooner rather than later. >> Yeah. So, we go back to uh week one, right? I'm trying. That's what I'm pulling up right now. over Mandre

43:27Stevenson because they have Cory Ker and he'll be involved a little bit but it should be their Mandre Stevenson show. So week one they had 67 offensive snaps. Stevenson played 57 at 18 carries and six targets. Expect that for a couple of weeks. So Stevenson >> probably a fringe RB1. I stole this the other day when we were talking about it

43:45with Liz, but you had said that the Pittsburgh Steelers running back room was the easiest if then conversation. If there's no Rico Dott, then you start Jaylen Warren. Well, not even start. It's just like he maybe makes him a lineup block, but he becomes like RB1 in fantasy. Yeah. >> And we're kind of in that same thing

44:02without Trey Van Henderson. We know that Ramadan Stevenson is just going to fall right into that role. >> He will be busy. >> We will talk about that more tomorrow probably on the show when we look at our rankings with that update. Let's talk about Jeremiah Love, Mike. Another guy. Do you want to know how many top 20

44:15finishes Jeremiah Love has to start the season? >> I don't want to, but I know that it's one. >> He has one so far and he's in a spot again where this offense is down. We talked about this yesterday. you weren't here. But with them being down, I expected them to throw the ball a lot more to the running back that I thought

44:31would be the pass catcher. Instead, Tyler Algier was out there a heck of a lot more. Looking again, strength of schedule, Jeremiah Love. He started a little slow, came into the season banged up, right? Got hurt in the preseason, so maybe that was a little bit of they want to make sure he's fully healthy. How are you feeling about Jeremiah Love when you

44:45look at his strength schedule moving forward? >> I I mean, the schedule's the schedule's midpack. It's been midpack so far. It's mid-pack going forward. >> More difficult though. Uh it overall though it's kind of average and the main reason that it works at average is because the fantasy playoffs is second easiest. So that's what I've been kind

45:01of harping on since the preseason which is if he just slowly ramps his way up and gets more productive as the year goes on he could be a league winner. The problem is he's not nearly as efficient or flashy as I thought. I mean I you could see it on the tape like you could see he has ability. Problem is it's not

45:15turning into anything. He's averaging 3.7 yards per carry and 2.6 yards per target. He only needs two targets over the last two games as well. So he had three plus the first three games that's gone away. Uh it has been a problem. I'm hoping that one of these weeks he's just going to rip off a big play and then the

45:30it's going to the momentum is going to be there and he's going to get rolling and keep the big work. >> Believe in momentum. >> Oh, it's uh it's descript descriptive, not predictive. Uh so >> theoretical momentum. I feel like if I have him, I'm hopeful that there's more there like we could get there, but right now it's just not happening.

45:49RB19 in fantasy points, PPR, fantasy points per reception. That's not what we expected. >> No, I expected more more out of him from that one. I probably have him though as my number two in this list. We'll talk about where we have them all ranking. He's number one. >> Okay, we'll get number one for me, but yeah, we could rank at the end. Is that

46:06what we're doing? >> Yeah, let's rank at the end. We'll kind of go through Cam Scataboo. Liz, I want to ask you about Cam Scataboo. Cam's at least had a couple of finishes inside the top 20 weeks one and week three. Both. >> I'm sorry. Jeremiah Love is the RB24 in fantasy points per reception. I did because Cam Scataboo is the RB19 in

46:22fantasy points per reception. >> There we go. Yes. >> But you've seen Naji Harris. We just talked about this with one of these other questions like he isn't the guy. Do you feel like when you're looking at Naji Har, excuse me, when you're looking at Cam Scataboo >> and the touches and the volume that he's getting, but not able to get that volume

46:37in the passing game, also not really getting any touchdown equity at the goal line. How are you feeling about Cam Scaboo moving forward? Cam Scataboo has one fewer reception, one less reception than Jeremiah Love. He has 10 and Love has 11. So I think that's more than we were necessarily expecting. And the fact that we keep getting confused because

46:55there are so many names as part of the discussion and the and the equation is evidence of how >> Tracy was back out there for a couple right like he I thought he was going to get >> Columbus. Um so Scataboo RB10 in carries only averaging 3.6 yards per carry though. Mhm. >> Uh the schedule I believe does get a

47:13little does get a touch more difficult for Scataboo. If it stays neutral for Love, it does get more difficult for Scataboo. I think >> for me ultimately is which offense do I want to be a part of here? And right now, at least based on last week's performance, I feel like the Giants have more lift than the Cardinals.

47:31>> Fair. Yeah. I feel like not much has changed for me with Scataboo from what I talked about on FFC on do we is it FFC or FFCD? >> FFC. Countdown. >> Countdown is one word. >> CD countdown. I know I've seen it FFCD. I'm like in the jar for that. >> Maybe that might be. >> No. No. I didn't call it FF now. I

47:49called it F. So, I think that's okay. Uh, look, the the overall volume has been fine. He's ninth in carries. He's 16th in scrimmage yards, 15 plus touches in every game. That's going to be keep you in the RB2 conversation every week. But to your point, a lot like Love, the efficiency is not there. 3.6 yards per

48:03carry. You said that only the 10 catches, he only has one touchdown, only two carries inside the five. Um, so I'm just kind of repeating what you guys just said basically. Yeah, there's not much else to say. I do like the matchup this week. They play the Saints. They've had the most fans points at running back. So he would have been my highest

48:18ranked this week, but going forward the ceiling has just not been there. He's just a floor. He's like Tony Pard basically. He's like a fringe RB2 and the upside's not there right now. >> I think we're also thinking both of these two players are dealing with potential health issues, right? like is Love's ankle fully healthy and has

48:33Scataboo while he's returned to sport, has he returned to prior level of performance after the pretty catastrophic uh injury from last season? >> Absolutely. Very catastrophic. All right, I got one more I want to throw at you guys obviously, and that's the Ali Gordon conversation. This one's triggering for me. I'm going to try and keep it in control.

48:50>> Week three, 17 carries, 41 yards, plus three catches for 14 yards. So that's 20 touches. Got in the end zone, 14.5 fantasy points. Week four against Minnesota, really tough defense. Had a big breakout. Nine carries for 100 yards and a touchdown. Two catches, no yards, 18 fantasy points, though. And then last week against Cincy, 18 carries for 88

49:11yards, 4.9 yards per carry, another touchdown, 14.8 fantasy points. He's had three straight weeks where he's been inside the top 17. These other guys have had two weeks combined where they've been top 17 running backs. I know they have a buy, but looking at Ali Gordon, looking at strength of schedule, I was more out than in. And I think that I

49:31need to change the way that I've looked at Ali Gordon. Unfortunately, even though I thought, boy, if Devon Han couldn't do this, there's no way Ali Gordon can do it. >> I've changed my narrative on the way I'm looking at Ali Gordon. Do you guys >> feel the same way? >> I'm glad you said that because I I think

49:45we start there, which is I'm seeing more and more victory lapping on Devon Achan as him being a bad pick. Do we think he would have done worse than this? No. Had he been out there, he probably would be doing better than this. He'd be doing the rushing and he would have certainly more involvement in the passing game.

50:00Gordon only has five targets and 14 yards. >> Zero against Cincinnati of all. >> Yeah. I mean, that's that's what that's my hesitation on Gordon, I will say, is the lack of receiving work right now. The rushing's been good, but I don't know if that's necessarily sustainable. The rushing efficiency was poor the first game. It was fine last week. The

50:17week before he only had nine carries, did have 100 yards. You mentioned this, you teased it. The Dolphins running backs who have the easiest remaining schedule this season. So that could be enough to keep him in the >> and it went from middle of the pack, right? Like from 15 the pack to easiest going forward. So >> I think there's a good chance he'll be

50:35startable. Uh but I'm more you said you were like triggered about the Gordon stuff. I'm more annoyed about the Devon Han victory last. The guy got hurt in like the running back situordan wasn't doing it. He wasn't doing it. He he didn't come in and score a touchdown and then a sixth round pick comes in and performs at least statistically well

50:54better than the coveted player. >> I hear you. But the criticism wasn't H on Han, right? It was the situation because >> Well, I do. We do you disagree that Han's one of the best running backs in the NFL? I mean, I made a talent bet on him ahead of the season and now I'm allowed to be frustrated that the the uh

51:12talent that was completely underlooked that wasn't even on any sort of name is the one that like we're having a conversation about Ali Gordon. I don't think just because Devon Han get got hurt, but because he underperformed and then also got >> and then his backup overperformed based on what I and >> I think you as a human if I drafted

51:31Devon Chan. >> Yes. and he didn't play well the first two games of the season and then he's still on a it's still a bad team and then his backup actually outperforms him after he gets hurt >> in shocking fashion against a Vikings >> allowed to just be frustrated that the running back that I thought was going to

51:46do this didn't and instead it was the guy that I don't think is as good as him >> I'm frustrated that he got hurt I think Devonte Chan would be putting up some nice numbers the last three weeks >> we would that's just what I think but we'll never know >> I mean basically Olly Gordon is is Peter

51:58Parker is what we're saying >> that's is that what it is so let's order these guys so we got These four, one of these guys was completely undrafted. The other one we I mean all the other three we used very big draft picks on. Order them for me because I would go Jeremiah Love, Ali Gordon, Omari Hampton, Cam

52:15Scataboo. >> Wow. >> And my order is very different. I'm going Love Scataboo. And the the last one was hard. Gordon and Hampton was close. I'm gonna give it to Hampton. Um, and the bet there is on talent that he'll get more more as the season goes on and I'll outperform Gordon who I don't know if he's really I don't know

52:34if Ollie Gordon as a talent moves the needle for me, you know. I I I >> Ollie Gordon would be four then for you on that list. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. Close call. Have different >> Yeah. What do you have? >> Scataboo. Love uh Gordon. Hampton >> and then Hampton. Hampton's last. >> Oh, it's gross that we're having this

52:51conversation to be honest. I think Gordon is probably better than at least Hampton, but I think long term it might work out where Hampton's better. I just have a hard time Yeah, I have a hard time believing that Hampton's just going to be treated this way the whole season, but short term I'm very concerned, but um long term I'm hoping they

53:07>> It was your strength of schedule rankings that actually made me rank him not dead last. That gave me the most optimism. >> That' been great. That's a part why I wanted to do this because looking at these was like it's a big part of it is looking at the strength of schedule moving forward. I want to ask you one

53:18last question on these guys really quickly. Is there anything that would that you would do if you had any of these running backs on your roster? Or if you didn't, is there any of them that you would say, "Hey, I want to do I want to find a way to acquire them, buy low, do anything like that, or is this just a

53:31if you have them, you now have more information as to how we feel about their role moving forward?" >> I'm holding love. Not I don't know if you're going to get much for Scataboo. Hampton, the only way I if I have Hampton, the only way I'm trading him is if someone still views him like, "Oh, still I'm Marian Hampton. Second round

53:46value. I think there's more there. >> I can get a wide receiver, too, or something." You're just not going to get that right now. But if you can somehow someone wants to buy low, go for it. But >> I would try to drum up the buy low narrative on Hampton as someone who has roster >> who has them. Okay.

54:00>> What about Olli Gordon? Would you, if you had Ali Gordon, similar to the David Montgomery conversation that a lot of people had at the beginning of the season, okay, you now have a guy that maybe turned into an RB2 that you didn't expect. Do you try to hold on to this for as long as you can potentially get

54:12this volume, or do you say, "Now's the time for me to sell high because I've got three straight weeks where he's done pretty well." Yeah, I I the the bad offense and the shaky or the limited receiving makes me think this is not necessarily sustainable even with a good schedule. So, I would probably try to trade him. The problem is it's a

54:28terrible time. They're going to a by week into a buy. >> They're No one wants to trade for anyone going into a by-week. Good luck trading Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase this week. Like, yep. >> People just don't want to do it. >> All right, we're going to have a couple quarterbacks and maybe we'll try to keep

54:40this as quick as we possibly can here. But, oh, >> potential segment. >> Is sustainability the best ability? Guys, can we keep this up? We're going to do quarterbacks here. Two quarterbacks, one coming out of a buy, one heading into a buy. Bryce Young and Jared Goff. Let's start with Bryce Young because he's coming back playing this

54:57week. QB7 total of 90 fantasy points. He's been unbelievable so far this year. Nine total touchdowns, 1,200 passing yards. When you look at everything that Bryce Young has done, when you look at the fact that they've got a great running back in Chuba Hubert also catching passes out of the back field and everything that he's got with

55:15Tedo McMillan, do you guys believe that Bryce Young is a top 10 quarterback moving forward for the short term? >> I think he can be. Yeah, he uh ranking him there is I would say I'm probably ranking him as if depending on the match more of a streamer. Okay. >> I think he is a shot at it. The problem

55:30is they go from the fourth easiest now to the hardest remaining schedule for quarterbacks and he's not adding much with his legs. six or 19 rushing yards so far this season. >> So if the question is about sustainability going from where he has been for the first five weeks of the season to this hardest schedule, you would say sustainability is probably not

55:46what you would think Bryce Young would be. >> I think it'll come back to earth. I it's a QB13 not QB10 situation for me based on the difficulty and because we've seen him performing at such uh with such an easy strength of schedule with such a favorable strength of schedule and now it's going to become much more difficult

56:01and in comparison to Jared Goff we're going to talk about like the surrounding talent like yes Ted McMillan we've seen things out of Jaylen Coker the backfield has question marks maybe Jonathan Brooks comes back maybe he's healthy um but I just don't think the surrounding talent is elite enough for him to make up for or the lack of rushing.

56:18>> All right, next one. Jared Goff, guys. Jared Goff has been unbelievable so far to start the season. Safe to say that Jared Goff is what Matthew Stafford was in 2025 right now to start the season in the first five weeks, right? >> Do you think that's sustainable again giving what his offense is and knowing what he can be?

56:36>> Yeah. So, do you want to give the stat? >> No, you can do it. >> The strength to schedule stat. >> Well, he went. >> Yeah. You know, you do it. You Shang Young we says has the hardest remaining schedule for quarterbacks. Jared Goff second hardest remaining schedule for quarterback. So I think he'll come back to earth a little bit but Goff I'm

56:52probably a hair more optimistic than I am about Bryce Young just given the offense. Yeah, they're going to they're just they're so good. They're so good. Yeah, he's been so good this season as well. Not going to run for anything. He does have a rushing touchdown though, so he's given you a little bit there. But uh yeah, look, I I I'll give you one

57:08more quick stat. He leads the NFL in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns this season. He's finished top six in both of those each of the last four seasons. his finishes and points per game. 13th, 15th, 7th, and 12th. So, probably going to come back to Earth a little bit, but there's enough here to be a fringe QB1.

57:24>> A fringe QB one, especially with by weeks and having to have a streaming option. Not this week. >> Ahead of Young. >> Um, >> yeah. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> All right. Really quickly, let's talk two wide receivers. And we can do this from the same squad and then we'll wrap it up. >> The Packers wide receivers have been

57:35unbelievable because we talked about Jordan Love earlier. He's been slinging it to basically just Christian Watson and Matthew Golden. Christian Watson, four of his five games, he's had eight or more targets. At least 14 fantasy points in every single one of those games that he had at least eight or more targets. 22 plus in three of five. Wide

57:52receiver three in fantasy points. Wide receiver five in receiving yards. Wide receiver two in touchdowns. It's amazing what properly lengthened hamstrings can do for a guy. >> I mean, Liz, I mean, with him alone, we'll talk about Matthew Gold in a second. Do you think that this is I mean with him being healthy is this what we

58:09should expect from Matthew from Christian Watson? >> Yes, I think that well also the schedule eases up a little bit. So I like that. My biggest worry like I touched on earlier was that this defense gets healthier and the run game finds um more stability and becomes more established if you will and so then the volume decreases.

58:27>> Yeah. >> So we want the defense to be bad and we want the run game to be inefficient and un and not utilized so that everything can remain through the air. And that's my biggest fear in terms of regression, but the schedule does ease up a little bit. So, >> Michael Parson should take as long as

58:40possible to get fully healthy and come back. Yeah. >> Yeah. I'm worried about uh touchdown regression in the mean for Watson. Expected touchdowns, 2.7. He has six touchdowns already. That's going to be hard to sustain going forward. Uh but he does lead the NFL with seven endzone targets. Funny enough, Matthew Golden is tied for second with five this season.

58:58>> I love doing a show with Mike because I have the exact same stats. You hold the exact No, we didn't. I didn't copy from you. What are you talking about? >> No, we're just No. Uh makes me feel good about my analysis though because I think my >> Yeah, me too. Me too. By the way, Matthew Golden 8.8 targets per game

59:15because he's been so busy. So I think it's >> I think they come back to earth a little bit but sustainable. I mean the schedule they they have the fourth hardest schedule so far for receivers and they're still both wide receiver ones and fantasy. So >> you would agree Golden has more sustainability than Watson because of the touchdown

59:30>> flakiness. Exactly. Yeah, we talked about that last week. I think his floor is probably a little higher based on how they're being used. >> Holding at least 11 and a half fantasy points in every single game this season, which you know, I would love more than 11 and a half fantasy points sometimes, but if you said the guy that basically

59:44was a disappointment in week in year one as a rookie gave us that through the first five weeks, I'd feel great about it. >> Turns out you need the ball thrown your way to produce. >> That's what it is. Didn't do that very much. Target. >> All right. All right.

Gas Station FAAB game

59:56>> I like that. Let's do a quick fab budget game before we get out of here, my friends. The best road trip pit stop food. This is going to be fun. If you don't know how to road trip properly, we're going to find out because I think there is a proper way to do this. >> I don't think you're going to be

1:00:11thrilled with me. I'll say that. >> Michael, really? Do you >> Okay, who wants to go first? Liz, do you want to go first? You want me to go first? >> Will you explain everything? >> Sure. We have a Thank you for that. You're welcome. >> We have a grid here. We have $4 uh that you get to spend. You have 10 total

1:00:25budget. Then we have rows. $4, a $3 row, a $2 row, and a $1. That $4 row contains just for you to be able to choose from, beef jerky, a hot dog off of the roller grill, Monster or Red Bull energy drink, and then a pre-made deli sandwich. Those are your $4 options. $3 options, bag, a big bag of any chips, any iced coffee

1:00:45drink, a slushie or icy or trail mix. Oh, no. Not interested. $2 options. King-sized candy bar or a bag of candy or gummies, you only get one of them. 20 oz soda, you only get one of them. Sunflower seeds or a pickle in a pouch. >> And then also $1 options, single slim gym, a bottle of water, a small bag of

1:01:07pretzels, and a banana by the register. Guys, I've got >> This is like I'll keep my $10. >> I was like, I'm not going to eat on this road trip. Also, I love that I kind of pitched this idea like we should draft favorite gas station foods. Clearly haven't eaten in a gas station. >> That hasn't happened. It doesn't seem

1:01:23like. All right. >> All right. So, the $4 options. I'm not interest I'm. I'm not eating beef jerky. I'm definitely not eating a hot dog off of a roller grill. I haven't. And I haven't had Red Bull or a Monster Energy drink since the as I did, I don't remember it because it was mixed into something else, right? So, to me,

1:01:39>> this is probably, you know, I need a Diet Coke. So, that's number that's $2. I would love a bag of s probably Sour Patch Kids. I love how my accent is completely coming out right. Um, sour patch kids, a diet coke, sunflower seeds cuz your girl needs some protein to stay. And then I was going to

1:01:57give that's $6. I was going to give my $4 to Mike and watch you eat one of them. One of them hot dogs on a stick or whatever. The hot dogs. I want to watch you eat a hot dog. >> I I don't like hot dogs. I'm not a hot dog guy. >> No, they don't have any of our yogurt

1:02:10and granola. >> I know cuz it's a gas station, guys. >> I want one of my smoothies I make for lunch. All right. So, you want me to go first cuz mine's mine's embarrassing, so boring. But I I tried to do it realistic. What would I actually get if I was going on a road trip? So, I did

1:02:24get a deli sandwich cuz I feel like I need like lunch or something, right? I need to eat something. So, turkey sandwich. >> Been in there a minute. >> I didn't want to do it, but I figured that's the only thing there that's like I'm not going to feel gross if I eat it. Uh $3. Look, we all have we all have

1:02:38vices, right? I'll have a bag of Doritos, bag of chips, >> full ranch or or nacho cheese. >> Nacho cheese. The nacho cheese guy. I like I'll do sea salt chip stew. Something like that. Um >> I'll get a candy bar. I'm thinking like a Reese peanut butter cup. >> Something like that. Does that count? >> It does.

1:02:54>> That counts. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um and then I'm I'm a water guy. Like a bottle of water. I That's mostly what I drink is water. I'm I do not like soda. Big water guy. Team water. Um see I thought about if I had I'll use Can I use your extra money to buy four hot dog

1:03:09or four um bananas? >> Four banana. I Somebody kind of wanted a banana. >> Me too. I wanted a banana, too. >> Yeah. >> Okay. First off, big banana guy, too. See, mine's more mine cannot be more boring. >> No, that was I and I didn't realize you were a hydro homie, but now that we know that, I am I understand you're a big

1:03:22water guy. Um I'd like to be honest about this. >> I'm not buying beef jerky or a hot dog >> or an energy drink. And um the pre-made deli sandwiches. Listen, my guy Mushir at the 7-Eleven down the road from me, >> great King's Hawaiian roll with some turkey and cheese, they have them out there. So, like that's the only pre-made

1:03:40deli sandwich. But I'm not doing that. M >> I'm doing the big bag of chips. It's either the nacho cheese Doritos. It is baked barbecue Lays or it's the all dressed cuz those Canadians know what they're doing, my friend. If you've not had the all dressed, you've not had the all dressed. >> Oh my gosh, it's so good. It's like sour

1:03:57cream and onion barbecue and vinegar. Yeah, they do all of the the the things on top of each other. It's delicious. It's something like that. >> Y'all better buy some wipes while you're at the gas station. I need the bathroom. >> Obviously, I need a banana because if you're road tripping properly, you need that potassium to from all the fun

1:04:13you're having. >> I was mad I couldn't get the bananas. >> So, I got a banana. I also got a 20 oz soda. Probably a little bit of caffeine in me. >> What about an icy? Icies do still hit. >> You know what hits the best though? I can't believe you guys slept on this. My king-size candy bar is a Twix. You want

1:04:28to know why? Cuz you get four of them. I get to eat one when I'm in the car. I get to put it away. I get to go out at the next gas stop. I pull it out. I got a second Twix. We get to the destination. I have a Twix to eat as I'm snacking, unpacking everything. And

1:04:43that's guess what? I'm laying in bed 11:30 at night. We're in the hotel room and I'm like, "G, >> there's another Twix in my glove box. I can sneak out of the hotel. Rosie doesn't even know about it. You do not have this level of discipline. You're eating those four Twix ONE IN. WE DON'T EVEN GET WE DON'T EVEN GET FIVE miles up

1:05:01the road and they are >> You can't do a single candy bar. You've got to get one that has four pieces because then it feels like it's so much bigger than it. >> You're more animated about this than you were for any of your takes this whole show, this whole season. That's Well, that's >> maybe since a Nico Collins debate. I did

1:05:14I did >> my birthday's coming up. I'm going to get you a kingsized Twix and some all dressed potato chips. >> We got a couple of them from Jack, guys. 10 bananas. Take it or leave it from KMC. I mean, honestly, it's not a bad choice. >> That's the main thing I would buy if I was at the grocery store.

1:05:27>> Gas hot dogs. Never the move from Benny Breeze. No, >> Benny Breezy, I think you're right. High quality H2O Aller with you on that. Team water there. >> And then Dan S. You want that jerky? Your budget is toast. Yeah, if you Here's the thing, man. >> It gets stuck in my teeth. I don't like it.

1:05:44>> I agree. And then I got to pick it out at the end. >> Tastes good. >> No, I don't like it. >> No. Anything from Bies. That's from our guy Eric and Moody. We should put Eric in the Bucky suit and have to answer questions like that. We should >> He should have to spin the punishment

1:05:58wheel every once in a while. >> How do we figure that out? >> Yeah, we'll have to figure something out. Next time I have to spin, he could do it for me. I'll I'll uh I'll pass it on. >> Sure. That's so generous. Yeah. Hey, thanks to Liz Loza for hanging out with us again. Liz, you're going to be here.
