0:12>> What's up friends? Welcome into fantasy
0:14focus football alongside Field Jates and
0:16Mike Clay. My name is Daniel Dopp.
0:18Excited to dive into a very fun week
0:21five ranking show. A lot on tap.
0:24>> How you gentlemen doing today?
0:25>> Doing great, thank you. How are you?
0:27>> I'm doing great as well, Michael. I'm
0:29I'm just fine.
0:30>> Just fine.
0:31>> I'm I'm just fine today.
0:32>> That day's up. I think you're awesome.
0:34>> Thank you. You're great.
0:34>> Well, now I'm better now. See, that's
0:36what I was fishing for right there. And
0:37now I got
0:38>> You're awesome.
0:39>> And I made a fishing reference, so I
0:40made Daniel happy, too.
0:41>> Yeah. You know what would make me happy?
0:43Head on over to our friends over at
0:44trophymack.com. Use the promo code
0:46trophy week five. You can use that on
0:48something like this for your belt to be
0:49able to give out to the winner of your
0:51fantasy league.
0:52>> Presumably will be Mike in most of the
0:54leagues that I think. Thank you.
0:55>> Yeah, you're right. All right, guys. We
0:57got a couple things we're going to dive
0:57into today. Week five rankings I talked
0:59about. We got a bunch of stuff we're
1:00going to talk about there. Some very fun
1:02things. We got two teams on buy. So, the
1:04first little bits of by weeks are now
1:05upon us. We got a random ranking at the
1:07end of the show that is always going to
1:08be a good time. Yep. We're doing some
1:09fantasy faceoffs. Last week it was me
1:12and Mike versus each other. Fields, you
1:13were the judge. This time it's going to
1:14be me and Field versus each other. And
1:16Mike is going to be the judge.
1:17>> I want to see which Daniel Dopp shows up
1:19because he evolved last week. He's very
1:21common kind at first and then he was
1:23kind of in the middle and the last you
1:24were screaming. So, it's like I didn't
1:26realize I was going up against the
1:27Terminator when I was going to be doing
1:28this. So, I realized that that's right.
1:30The most pragmatic, thoughtful fantasy
1:32analysts on the planet.
1:33>> Yeah, we got a little bit of news that
1:34we're going to get into before we dive
1:35into some rankings. Field Jate starting
1:37with one of the biggest quarterbacks we
1:38have in the league.
1:38>> Yeah, Lamar Jackson has a slim chance to
1:40play on Sunday night against the
Lamar Jackson Injury Update
1:42Falcons. Also reporting that this could
1:44be a multi-week absence. So, when
1:46there's reporting that it could be a
1:47multi-week absence, it makes you feel
1:49like the present week is very unlikely
1:52to happen. Tyler Snoop Huntley will uh
1:55take over as the quarterback if Lamar is
1:57out on Sunday night against the Falcons,
1:59the resurgent Falcons. Mike has already
2:01removed Lamar from the projection. So if
2:03you see a zero next to him, that is by
2:05design. The only player that this really
2:08impacts from a fantasy perspective is Z
2:10Flowers. Yeah. Now, how much of a
2:12discount can you put on Z Flowers when
2:14the guy's been absolutely electric when
2:15he has been playing? not enough for him
2:18to be outside of your fantasy lineups,
2:20but certainly the optimal version of Zay
2:21Flowers includes Lamar on the field.
2:23>> Yeah. Uh Hunt Le's passing in his
2:25career, the numbers haven't been that
2:26great. I looked at his 16 games or 17
2:29career games in which he's played at
2:30least 80% of the snaps. A total of 17
2:32touchdowns. Only 12 were passing. So 12
2:35passing touchdowns in 17 games. A little
2:37under 180 passing yards per game. We
2:39know he can add value with his legs.
2:40However, two of those games were last
2:42season. And check this out. So Z Flowers
2:44averaged 13.6 fantasy points per game.
2:46two fine games, one pretty good game,
2:48one average game. Uh Derrick Henry 32.6
2:52fantasy points per game. He had that one
2:53like four touchdown game.
2:56>> Yeah, I mean I think you you know I in
2:58the projections obviously the offensive
2:59projection for their scoring goes down a
3:01little bit, right? Naturally, you're
3:02known from Lamar Huntley, but they're
3:04going to give it to Henry as much as
3:05possible. He moved down a couple spots
3:07in my ranks, but he'll be fine. I'm with
3:09you. Uh Flowers and Derek should be
3:12fine.
3:13>> Just want to say that was awesome
3:14analysis. Thoughtful as usual. All very
3:16well put together. However,
3:18>> Oh, that's it. Thanks.
3:20>> Oh, well, that was really nice. By the
3:21way, I did get in my ear. Uh Keith
3:24Lipkcom wanted me to tell you guys that
3:25his name is actually pronounced former
3:27Pro Bowl quarterback Snoop Hunley. You
3:29didn't do the whole government name
3:31there. So,
3:31>> yes, my my apologies on Yes. Right. You
3:35guys remember uh just before my shoulder
3:38exploded on the beach at Baja Mar, I
3:40took a photo with a guy wearing a
3:41>> Oh, you Yeah, that's what that's in my
3:43head. I cannot think about that. Didn't
3:45Shur make it last year or who went
3:48>> make it last year? Yeah. Remember when
3:49Mac Jones prayed for like 70 yards? That
3:52was awesome.
3:52>> And you will not be surprised to learn
3:54that the Pro Bowl is now over.
3:55>> We're not doing it anymore.
3:57>> True.
3:57>> We jumped the shark and now it's over.
3:58>> You know who else isn't doing it
4:00anymore? Mike.
4:02>> Yeah,
4:02>> that was a lead in.
4:04>> Lane Johnson.
4:05>> Johnson.
4:05>> Uh yes. Shout out to Lane Johnson. What
How will Lane Johnson retirement impact Eagles players?
4:07an awesome career. I mean, just one of
4:09the anchors of an elite, maybe the best
4:12offensive line play in the league over
4:14the past decade. I mean, they've been
4:15nothing. A shout out to that team, Jeff
4:18Stoutland, Howie Roseman, finding these
4:20players like Jordan Milada and putting
4:22that together. It seems like it's going
4:24>> the wrong way now. Obviously with Lane
4:26retiring, the injuries, Landon's on IR,
4:28and Cam Jurgens is hurt right now,
4:30Jordan Milada's getting older. Like
4:33those days might be behind us. The
4:34Eagles have a lot of work to do to fix
4:35things along that offensive line. And um
4:37this is going to affect things. It
4:38already has so far this season. Uh I
4:40didn't realize quite how bad their
4:42efficiency has been as a team this year
4:43because defense has underachieved a
4:45little bit too. If you combine offensive
4:47and defensive EPA, the Eagles are 31st
4:51in the NFL.
4:52>> 31st in the NFL, 27th offensively, 26th
4:55defensively.
4:56>> Titans ahead of them or Titans behind
4:58them, I guess I should say.
4:59>> I think uh is good question. Is it
5:01Miami? I thought it was Miami. Yeah.
5:04>> Yeah.
5:04>> But yeah, it's been it's been a rough
5:05go. Um, if you look at obviously this is
5:07going to affect offensive line play, you
5:09know, at some point they'll get Landon
5:10Dickerson back, but they're already
5:11ninth in pass block win rate this
5:13season, which is fine, but 27th in run
5:14block win rate. And that's the more
5:15notable one because we've seen that they
5:17they're really struggling uh to get the
5:19running game going. So, I'm concerned
5:21about this. I have major concerns about
5:22the Eagles due to poor offensive
5:24efficiency going back to last year, but
5:26also the injuries are just really piling
5:27up. Now, you lose Lane. It might be a
5:29long season for Philly.
5:30>> Yep. One quick thing from me. Uh,
5:33>> great analysis by Mike, by the It was
5:34great analysis. Nice. Great job,
5:36Michael.
5:36>> Agreed. Thank you.
5:37>> Seattle, are you just buttering up the
5:39judge for later on in the
5:41>> show? Why would you suggest that?
5:43>> All right. Interesting. Uh Seattle,
5:45really quickly, the old bait and switch
5:47made us think that maybe they were going
5:48to sign Joe Mixon. Surprise. No, they're
5:49not. It is still going to be Emanuel
5:51Wilson. He's ranked as a top 20 running
5:52back for us this week. The second most
5:54added player off of waiverss. So, for
Seahawks no longer signing Joe Mixon
5:56now, more short-term than long-term, but
5:58Emanuel Wilson going to stay in the
6:00low-end RB2 flex radar for us. foot
6:02injury that cost Joe Mixon all of last
6:04year. A very surprising, not surprising,
6:06but a very mysterious injury that cost
6:08him 2025 appears to still be a problem
6:11in 2026. I kind of assumed Joe Mixon was
6:13done playing professional football. Then
6:15this past week, it's like, oh, maybe
6:16not. The answer might be that yes, in
6:18fact, Joe Mixon's career could well be
6:21over.
6:21>> All right, let's dive into the week five
6:23rankings. We're going to start at the
6:24quarterback position. Hey, a reminder,
6:27we got two teams on buy this week. We're
6:29talking about the Carolina Panthers and
6:31the Kansas City Chiefs. So, no Patrick
QB Rankings
6:33Mahomes, obviously, no Bryce Young, who
6:35has been fantastic to start the season.
6:371 through 10, we got Josh Allen, Joe
6:38Burrow, Jaden Daniels, Jared Goff,
6:41Trevor Lawrence, Matthew Stafford,
6:43Jacobe Brassette at seven, Dak Prescott
6:45at eight, and Drake May, and Brock Perie
6:47tied there at nine. Jacobe Br uh
6:49Brousette first time inside the top 10
6:53taking on the Detroit Lions in a great
6:56conversation right there. So he is a
6:58must start this week against the Lions
6:5911 through 20. Tyler Shuck, Kyler
7:01Murray, Jaylen Herz, Bo Nicks, Jordan
7:04Love, Deshawn Watson, Aaron Rogers, Sam
7:06Darnold, CJ Strad, and Tyson Beant. That
7:09rounds out the top 20. Jaylen Herz
7:11outside the top 12 again, guys. This is
7:14three straight weeks under 16 and a half
7:16fantasy points. Back-to-back bad weeks.
7:18Doesn't feel like it's going to get any
7:19better anytime soon, unfortunately.
7:21>> I I forget her name. I think it's Marie
7:23Quando. I bet our producer Addison
7:25knows. She had the Netflix the popular
7:26Netflix show where she would come in and
7:28she would organize your house.
7:30>> Yes.
7:30>> And if it brought you joy, you would
7:32keep it.
7:32>> Yes.
7:32>> And if it didn't, you would throw it
7:34away.
7:35>> Does Does Jayen Herz bring you joy to
7:37start right now? No. No.
7:38>> Not throwing him away as in going to the
7:40waiver, but like put him on the bench
7:42now is an easy way to think about the
7:43Jaylen Herz start sit conversation.
7:45>> Is Drake May still on the bench or did
7:47what he did last week elevate him into
7:49potential start?
7:49>> Trending him back up. Trending up is
7:51Drake May. The thing that I liked the
7:53most from Drake May, other than the
7:54fantasy points this past weekend, was
7:56that I thought that Drake May was
7:58allowed to weaponize his legs. He's an
8:00elite elite athlete for a quarterback.
8:03He can really do damage as he is now
8:05fourth in the NFL amongst quarterback
8:06rushing yards, fifth in quarterback
8:08rushing attempts,
8:10>> over 50 rushing yards last week. And
8:12they now draw the Raiders, which kind of
8:14a hard defense to figure out exactly how
8:17good they are or are not. uh they play
8:19the Dolphins, so 25% of their games this
8:22season have come against the Dolphins.
8:24That right away gives you some pause
8:25about how real they are or are not. The
8:28Chargers also on their ledger. That
8:30offense stinks. The Saints, a team that
8:32I think has offensive talent but gets in
8:34their own way. And the Chiefs, who put
8:36up 30 plus points against the Raiders
8:37last week, so they got the job done
8:39largely on the ground. The Raiders are
8:41middle of the pack. They are 16th in
8:43fantasy points per game allowed to
8:45opposing quarterbacks. All of these are
8:47round ways of me to say I don't exactly
8:49know that this is a defense that we
8:50should be scared of for Drake May. I
8:52also don't think this is like Drake May
8:54facing off against the Lions this
8:55upcoming weekend. Yeah. The most fantasy
8:57points scored by a quarterback in the
8:58four games so far this season. Tyler
9:01Shuck who had 23.8 in week three. Some
9:05of that was playing from behind what the
9:06Saints often do. Of note, P Drake May
9:10could well be down. Not just AJ Brown
9:12who's ineligible for, let's see, two
9:14another week. And it doesn't sound like
9:16he's going to play in week six, but
9:17we'll get to that in week six. But M.
9:19Collins, who we talked about is like
9:20maybe the Patriots wide receiver one or
9:22two last week. Yep. And he was along
9:24with Romeo Dobs until he got hurt.
9:26Doesn't sound like M. Holland would be
9:28available this weekend. So even against
9:30an okay defense, even without his
9:32weapons, I still think that Drake May
9:34deserves to be inside the top 10 of
9:36quarterbacks. And you'll love to see it
9:38because after this, Drake May does have
9:40a couple of very, very notable matchups
9:42for QBs. the Jets and the Bears amongst
9:45the teams around the corner for the
9:46Patriots.
9:46>> Yeah, love it. We hope that he would get
9:48through them first three games which
9:50were brutal matchups and he obviously
9:51struggled and kind of turned the corner
9:52against more palatable at the very
9:55minimum defenses and so far so good.
9:57That's one. Let's see if he could do it
9:58again this week. Don't think we're quite
9:59at the point where we can say, you know,
10:01Drake May if we re drafted quarterbacks
10:03right now would be quarterback two,
10:04three or four. But AJ Brown returns
10:07schedule I'm not saying softens up to
10:10the point where it was last year but
10:11just is a little more league average and
10:14Drake May could easily be a guy that we
10:16just stopped talking about where we rank
10:17him. It just assume that he's going to
10:18be somewhere in that first six to eight
10:20of QBs.
10:21>> Field and I are in a group chat with a
10:22bunch of Michigan men.
10:23>> Yeah.
10:24>> And uh Mike Clay is known as a perennial
10:27Jared Goff hater.
10:28>> Yes.
10:29>> Except for here in week five, it appears
10:31in which he's getting some flowers, my
10:32friend.
10:33>> Yeah. Uh, we talk about golf as not a
10:36line of block pretty much ever except
10:37for when we're streaming. You know, when
10:40we're streaming, Matt, do you have a
10:41question?
10:41>> Well, I was just going to say in that
10:42same group chat where the rest of the
10:44group calls you a Jared.
10:45>> I knew this was going to happen.
10:47>> I call you a handsome Jared Goff
10:49optimist and just generally kind.
10:53>> Okay.
10:54>> Wellented individual.
10:55>> I'm keeping score of compliments for
10:56later. So, four four nothing four
10:58nothing lead here for for Fields. I'm
11:01>> I'm not complimenting. I'm just stating
11:02facts. Wow.
11:03>> Well, hey, I like it. I keep track of
11:05this me mentally and uh on paper night.
11:07>> There's so many I can't keep track.
11:09Anyway, uh yeah, big uh big Jared Goff
11:12streaming fan. We talked, you saw Jacobe
11:14Brassette there, too. Both Goff and
11:15Brutet are streaming options this week.
11:17Uh first of all, Goff has been good
11:19lately. 19 plus fantasy points in three
11:21straight games, nine touchdown passes
11:23this year. Zero interceptions, so he's
11:25really protected the ball well. And the
11:27passing volume has been exactly what you
11:28need for him to hang in the streaming
11:30conversation. top five in pass attempts,
11:32completions, yards, and touchdowns so
11:35far. Those all seem to matter in fantasy
11:37last time I checked. So, pretty huge.
11:38Then, of course, Arizona, they've
11:40allowed the most passing touchdowns so
11:42far this season with 11. Also, 9.1 yards
11:46per pass attempt allowed. That is
11:47highest in the NFL. It has been brutal
11:50for that defense. off in a terrific spot
11:52in which would be one of the highest
11:54scoring games of all.
11:54>> I think it's important to think of the
11:56Cardinals defense very similarly to the
11:59Miami defense except that the Miami
12:02offense can't score at all and the
12:04Cardinals offense can score. So teams
12:07actually have to try throwing the
12:08football against
12:09>> even more pressure on them. No doubt.
12:10>> So it's it's better for the quarterbacks
12:12facing Arizona as opposed to the
12:15quarterbacks facing Miami as we have
12:16seen like Patrick Mahomes and the
12:18Chiefs. They ended up winning that game.
12:20Perhaps a little closer than we
12:22anticipated, but Mahomes didn't light it
12:24up because they barely had to throw the
12:26ball compared to where he was against
12:28Indianapolis the week prior to that.
12:30>> Yeah, I want to talk about Brock Perie
12:32if you guys don't mind because he's been
12:33unbelievable to start this season, but
12:35guess what? This week he gets the
12:36Seattle Seahawks. They have been really
12:39good against quarterbacks so far this
12:41year. Only one quarterback has topped
12:439.8 fantasy points. Not 19.8, 9.8
12:47fantasy points. Wasn't it Jacobe
12:49Brassette in week three?
12:50>> It was in fact Marcus Mariota.
12:52>> Oh, I'm sorry. That's right. He was
12:54>> threw for 186 yards and had three
12:56passing touchdowns. That's why there's
12:58not a single quarterback that has even
13:00thrown for 190 yards against them so far
13:02this year. They have been unbelievable.
13:04They have as many interceptions as a
13:06defense as they've allowed touchdowns to
13:08be thrown against them.
13:10>> So, it's been touchdowns are bust right
13:11now for quarterbacks. Luckily, Brock
13:14Perie has thrown multiple touchdowns in
13:16every single game so far this season.
13:18He's actually second amongst
13:19quarterbacks in total touchdowns. So,
13:22even though it's a really, really tough
13:23matchup, Brock Perie has been good
13:25enough that I think you can still roll
13:26with him here against the Seattle
13:27Seahawks. We're just lowering our
13:29expectations rather than having him as
13:30like a top fiveish guy. He's more like
13:33quarterback 8 to 10ish for us here. A
13:36low-end QB1, but still someone you can
13:37start against Seattle.
13:38>> I'll say it scares the heck out of me.
13:40>> Oh, of course it does. like to the point
13:42where eight out of like I I don't know
13:43that I feel and I have him as
13:45quarterback 11. I don't know how likely
13:46QB1 is for Brock Pury to finish like I
13:49don't mean specifically quarterback 11.
13:51I mean somewhere in that 8 to2 range. Do
13:53you guys recall Brock Pury in
13:55back-toback weeks during the fantasy
13:57playoffs last year finishing as QB1?
13:59>> Yes.
13:59>> And then you recall what happened
14:01against the Seattle Seahawks the
14:02following week?
14:03>> Yes.
14:03>> He got absolutely
14:05>> druged. Yes. He did like we called the
14:07anti Mike Clay like he was just awful in
14:09every way.
14:11as opposed to excellence and everything.
14:12>> I like when I get to put that line
14:13through the four lines to five now.
14:16Feeling good.
14:16>> So, yes. So, Brock Pury was not good
14:19like and and I know that things change
14:22from year to year
14:23>> and the Niners have some new pieces. The
14:25Seahawks have a few pieces on defense
14:27that either are playing bigger roles or
14:29are new entirely.
14:31>> Lot of familiarity between these two
14:33sides. Mike McDaniel, this will be Mike
14:35McDonald, excuse me, will be his fifth
14:38regular season match up against Brock
14:39Party and this the personnel is a huge
14:42part of it, but Mike McDonald knows how
14:44to scheme it up against this San
14:46Francisco 49ers offensive approach. So,
14:49I'm I'm I still have him as quarterback
14:5111. Yep.
14:52>> But he's the the I am scared of what the
14:56outlook could be or what the output
14:57could be on Sunday.
14:58>> Yeah. and Pertie's had some good
15:00historical games against Seattle and
15:02that includes 2024. He had 18 plus
15:04fantasy points in both. And in the first
15:05meeting last year, he had 16, but he had
15:07two interceptions in that game. So, he
15:09got 16 out of him. I mean, if you
15:10started any quarterback against Seattle
15:12and got 16, you were probably like, "All
15:13right, I'll take it." But not great. And
15:15then to your point, two games, including
15:16the playoff game, 5.2 points and 5.3
15:19points. So, it's it's a tough spot.
15:21Very, very high risk this week. four
15:23games into the season, Brock Perie is on
15:25the incredibly short list of
15:27quarterbacks that has actually delivered
15:28for you four straight weeks. So, that's
15:30the reason why I have confidence. But, I
15:32agree with you guys on all of the
15:33Seattle.
15:34>> We've said it though since week one when
15:36we still were talking about Drake May
15:37and all the other guys with hard
15:38matchups. Like,
15:40>> it's Josh Allen and he's on his even if
15:42you move him down, it's still to like
15:43the middle of QB1. That's as far as
15:45he'll go. But, everyone else is up for
15:47grabs for where you where you rank him
15:49depending on the matchup. Let's dive
15:50into some running back rankings here for
15:52week five 1 through 10. Jir Gibbs, Bjon
15:55Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry,
15:58Kairen Williams, Christian McAffrey,
RB Rankings
16:00Ashton Genty, Javvante Williams, Chase
16:03Brown, and James Cook. That is 1 through
16:0510, 11 through 20. Aaron Jones, Bree
16:08Hall, Bucky Ivan, Jeremiah Love at 14.
16:11Disappointing he's not higher with how
16:12much he has been a part of that offense,
16:14but they've just given too much love to
16:16Al Tyler Algier as well, unfortunately.
16:18Jaylen Warren, Quinchon Judkins, DeAndre
16:20Swift, Bashel Tutin, and Emanuel Wilson
16:23with Cam Scataboo rounding out the top
16:2520 guys. That list does not feel great.
16:28And in case you didn't love that, you're
16:29going to love this one even more. 21
16:31through 30 at running backs Andre
16:32Stevenson, Tony Pard, David Montgomery,
16:35RJ Harvey, Omari, and Hampton has fallen
16:38all the way to RB25. Given the now what
16:42kind of seems to be a potential
16:43committee approach based on Mike
16:44McDaniel in the back field,
16:46>> just does not feel good. And they have
16:47Denver this week.
16:48>> And they have Denver. It's just really,
16:50really not great.
16:51>> Who do you guys want to start with?
16:52Field. Do you want to go with uh Bachel
16:53Tutin? Have we decided where who he is?
16:55>> Uh no. And that's kind of why I wanted
16:57to bring him up. I think he might just
16:59be the player that I feel the least grip
17:02on as far as what he is and how I should
17:05be ranking him in fantasy football.
17:06>> Yeah.
17:07>> So, I've just kind of put him in the
17:08middle of the running back.
17:09>> Yep.
17:09>> So, RB1 17 is the consensus rank and I'm
17:12at RB19. Um let's look at some of the
17:15indicators. 50.7% of the snaps.
17:19>> Not ideal.
17:20>> Not ideal, right? That's okay. Like
17:21that's you're you're
17:22>> not for a lineup block running back.
17:23>> No, you're off the field as much as
17:24you're on the field basically.
17:26>> Crazy volume in the passing game.
17:28>> Nope.
17:29>> Negative.
17:30>> Guaranteed to get goal line
17:31opportunities?
17:32>> Nope. Also a negative.
17:33>> Um, but there are some good things here.
17:35There are some things we like. You know,
17:36he's run the football effectively this
17:38year, especially compared to last year.
17:39His yards per attempt is up nearly a
17:42full yard. It's up from 3.7 to 4.6 six
17:45so far this season. And you guys
17:47probably recall in one of the reasons
17:48why Toutton was this trendy, buzzy
17:51player leading into the draft is what he
17:53lacked in size. He made up for in speed
17:56and explosiveness. And it's like this
17:58guy is a home run waiting to happen.
18:00Well, last year he had a 10 plus yard
18:03run in three out of 17 games played. So,
18:06I wouldn't exactly say he was much of a
18:07home run hitter for Jacksonville last
18:09year.
18:09>> Sure. still hasn't ripped off some, you
18:12know, 55 yard touchdown run for them
18:14this season, but he does have a 10 plus
18:17yard run in every game this year. So,
18:19we're at least trending up seeing a
18:21little bit more of the explosive runs
18:22from Tuton. Running better just in
18:24general. And running back feels
18:27disastrously thin this season. I know we
18:30talk about it all the time, and I'm
18:32probably being a prisoner of the moment,
18:34>> but this one feels this this year feels
18:37really gnarly. I mean it's like yeah
18:40what what point on that list and I
18:42understand we have no Chuba Hubard and
18:43no Kenneth Walker III. Yep.
18:45>> But if we had Toutin at 17 and we all
18:48are aligned like that doesn't feel
18:49great.
18:50>> How far down the list do you have to get
18:52before the the part where you're like
18:55>> it doesn't feel great occurs?
18:56>> I think I texted you guys Monday when I
18:58was doing my first run and it was like
18:59RB 10 or nine. After that you're like
19:02this could be this next guy could be 11
19:04or 28. Like I it's it's pretty gross.
19:06It's a gigantic tier of a lot of guys
19:08that have a lot of problems right now.
19:10>> Like running back 11 to your point you
19:13said.
19:13>> Mhm.
19:14>> Is Aaron Jones this week? Like do you
19:16really feel like Aaron Jones is a
19:18borderline top 12 running back? Like
19:21this week with the matchup, but like
19:22does he give you does the name Aaron
19:24Jones give you that kind of satisfaction
19:26as a fantasy man?
19:27>> The name doesn't, but the 25 touches
19:29I'll have against a bad Saints defense
19:30will. So that's why he is that high. But
19:32yeah, some of the names behind him are
19:33like, man, I wish we could rank Love
19:35higher. I wish we could rank Judkins
19:36higher and so forth and so on. Emanuel
19:38Wilson's in our top 20 this week because
19:40of the volume he's getting. But I do
19:42want to make one more point on Ton,
19:43which is
19:44>> this is going to def this is what's
19:45going to define his season, I think. So
19:47far this season, Jacksonville has
19:49trailed on 2% of their offensive snaps.
19:51>> Yeah.
19:52>> 2%.
19:53>> So he's already been off the field half
19:56the time and they and they don't have to
19:57throw the ball very much. So what
19:59happens in more competitive games? Is he
20:00going to be out there? Well, if they
20:02have to throw more, maybe he does get an
20:03extra target or two and he's fine in
20:05fantasy on top of what he's doing as a
20:07rusher. But that rushing volume will
20:08come down in those circumstances. But if
20:10there are more competitive games and
20:12they're throwing out Laquent Allen and
20:15Air Abdul, who by the way are already
20:16playing, they're using four running
20:18backs, it's going to be a big problem
20:19for Tuton's. He's just going to have too
20:21many dud weeks right now. He's really
20:22relying from an a bonus basically of
20:25like three or four carries a game
20:26because they're always ahead. They're
20:27just always ahead or tied in games. So,
20:30that's what's going to kind of determine
20:31him. I agree. For now, he's a backend
20:33RB2. And that's why he's not a lineup
20:35block for me right now. Most weeks
20:37there's four, you know, two running two
20:39running two uh starting running backs
20:40because of buys and then multiple
20:42running backs as injuries out this week.
20:44That obviously boosts them a little bit.
20:45>> Much like Aaron Jones so far this
20:47season, Mike, you've been great on
20:49fantasy focus. So, do you want to dive
20:51into Aaron Jones? Six nothing. Terrible.
20:53>> This is getting out of control.
20:54>> Seriously.
20:56Go ahead.
20:56>> So one-sided. So one-sided. My turn.
20:59Yes.
21:00>> All right. I'm gonna talk about uh Aaron
21:02Jones. Hey, you just brought him up.
21:04Well done. Well, I'm gonna give you a
21:05point just for uh seamlessly.
21:07>> Thank you.
21:08>> Seamlessly getting right to that.
21:09>> I appreciate that. I got one.
21:10>> Well done. Uh Aaron Jones last three
21:12games. Here's his touches and his yards.
21:14Keep in mind, no. Jordan Mason 23 for
21:16105, 22 for 92, 24 for 198 in his most
21:20recent game. Also had a touchdown back
21:22in week one. So, he's been solid so far.
21:25We sort of saw this coming after week
21:28one. We said, "Look, Aaron Jones is in
21:29his 30s. He's can't do this all season.
21:31But the next month, while Mason's out,
21:32they're probably going to run him out
21:34there maybe 80% of the time." And that's
21:36exactly what has happened. He has 37
21:38carries and 14 targets just over the
21:40last two weeks. If that's not enough to
21:42get him in the RB1 conversation, he
21:44draws the Saints who have allowed the
21:45most yards and touchdowns and fantasy
21:48points to running back so far this
21:50season. They they've allowed 25 plus to
21:52three running backs already. Both
21:54Robinsons last week and then DeAndre
21:56Swift earlier this season. also gave 17
21:58to RJ or uh to Derrick Henry. Also gave
22:0121.7 combined to the two Raiders running
22:04backs. So kind of had I think Mike
22:05Washington scored that week, so they
22:07were kind of even. But uh great matchup,
22:09great volume. How do you not chase us
22:12this week?
22:12>> So my
22:15good try. Good try, bud. Good try. Good
22:18try.
22:19>> Thank you.
22:24>> Yes.
22:25>> So good, Michael. Oh my gosh. Incredible
22:28analysis on Aaron Jones.
22:30>> Thank you. Thank you. It's an honor.
22:31>> Almost vermped at how good that was.
22:33>> That was a lot. I'm giving you a two
22:34point.
22:34>> That's a two point for clamp.
22:35>> That's a two-pointer. Six to three. We
22:37got a b.
22:38>> So yeah, when you do the slow clap into
22:39the verclempt, it's it's always worth
22:41two points. Yeah.
22:42>> Uh question for you guys, and I I don't
22:44think you can pull this off because we
22:46just talked about how gnarly running
22:48back is, but
22:49>> I think Jordan Mason's back in the next
22:51week or two.
22:52>> Yeah. And that'll change things.
22:54>> Change it enough. Do you take your
22:56opportunity to sell high on Aaron Jones?
22:58>> Absolutely. If you have the ability, if
22:59someone needs him,
23:01>> if someone without Ken Walker is looking
23:03for a running back this week and you
23:04think maybe you could just, you know,
23:05>> pretty interesting.
23:06>> I would value him as like a fringe RB2,
23:09maybe a flex, I would say something
23:11along those lines, that's what I would
23:12view him as. So yeah, if you can get
23:13more than that, especially if someone's
23:15really desperate at running back, I
23:17mean, look, it's a weekly game. You want
23:18to use them this week, but I mean, the
23:20wheels could fall off at any time. And
23:22once Mason's back, his value is going to
23:23take a big hit.
23:24>> Quick question. Have the wheels fallen
23:25off DeAndre Swift? No,
23:26>> I don't think so.
23:27>> Okay, cuz when you look at his box score
23:29and if you're just a box score looker,
23:30it doesn't feel great.
23:31>> Okay, tell us more.
23:32>> RB5 week 1, RB 16, week 2, RB 22, week
23:37three, RB 37, week four. Only one game
23:41over 12.9 fantasy points this year. It's
23:43not great. That was that week one 59
23:45point barrage. But here's the thing that
23:46you love.
23:48>> He's still eighth in touches. He's still
23:4910th in scrimmage yards. He's fourth
23:52amongst running backs with eight carries
23:54inside the five yard line. He is getting
23:56goal line touches. I understand that
23:58this is one of those situations where
23:59like last week he fumbled the ball, they
24:02went with the hot hand. I think this is
24:04part of the things it hasn't worked out
24:06quite the same way that Ben Johnson did
24:07it in Detroit. But I do think that there
24:09will be weeks where if Kyle Manung is
24:11cooking the same way that David
24:12Montgomery was some weeks, they're just
24:13going to let him roll until there's a
24:14reason not to. So you may be kind of
24:16picking and choosing. DeAndre Swift is
24:19still the RB-1 in this backfield. They
24:21utilize him that way. They think about
24:22him that way. Regardless of what you see
24:24in the box score, I still think he's the
24:26RB1. And by the way, even though one
24:27running back has topped 15 fantasy
24:29points against the Packers, it was
24:30Bejian with 35.3.
24:33They've still allowed, even only the one
24:35running back has topped 15, they've
24:36allowed eight total touchdowns to
24:38running backs so far. Second most in the
24:40NFL, and the third most rushing yards to
24:42running backs. So, this is a really nice
24:44potential bounceback opportunity for
24:46DeAndre Swift. Yeah, I think the only
24:47risk with Swift is if they decide, look,
24:49Kyle Manungai is the hot hand for real
24:52now and he's going to just take control
24:54of this backfield as a rusher. Swift
24:55isn't going anywhere though. He's going
24:56to have a role and he'll be involved
24:58certainly in passing situations, but
25:01>> you know, there's a chance that they're
25:02like they even it out a little bit more.
25:04Kind of what everyone wants to happen
25:05with the Rams, right? Like we want more,
25:07everyone wants more Blake Horm. I don't
25:09think that's correct, but I mean that's
25:10what everyone's kind of been fishing
25:12for. But we did see in Carolina last
25:13year. Granted, Hubard was a little beat
25:15up, but that's Rico Dattle was the hot
25:16hand and they just rode him a little bit
25:18more. That's the only risk I think with
25:20Swift, but he's not going he's not going
25:21to disappear. He's going to remain at
25:23least 50/50. I think I'm wondering if
25:25like a good
25:27>> I think butter would be a good new
25:28nickname for you.
25:30>> Say it's just so
25:31>> so smooth. I knew you could.
25:32>> Right. It's it's both. It's it's
25:33articulate. It's smooth.
25:35>> Before we move now, he's going too far.
25:37I might have to
25:37>> Before we move on to wide receivers,
25:38let's do a quick check-in in the control
25:40room very fast. Uh because we got
25:42something going on in there really
25:44quickly.
25:44>> Oh, it's we're up to seven.
25:46>> Wow. We got the counter.
25:47>> Wow. Overly gratuitous compliments.
25:49We're at seven right now for field.
25:51Okay. Okay. All right.
25:52>> Only two for Daniel. I'd give him three
25:55because uh
25:55>> Well, one of them was a
25:56>> one was a a two-parter. Yeah.
25:58>> Appropriately a good two is how I would
26:00kind of rank it myself.
26:01>> You have time, Daniel. It's 10:26. You
26:03have That's great.
26:04>> You have about 10 more minutes, I would
26:06say. We
26:06>> new cologne, by the way.
26:07>> Let's dive into wide receivers. Wide
26:09receivers 1 through 10 here in week
26:11five. Fuka Nakua, wide receiver number
WR Rankings
26:13one. He came back last week, guys.
26:14Looked pretty good at football.
26:15>> I thought other than Mike, I thought it
26:17was the best performance of the week.
26:18>> Dang it. I can't set you up like this.
26:21>> Jackson Smith and Jigba, Jamar Chase,
26:23Ammon St. Brown, Sidi Lamb, Justin
26:25Jefferson, Chris Olive, Drake London,
26:27and Nico Collins with Michael Wilson.
26:29That rounds out your top 10. A
26:31unbelievable list of studs. 11 through
26:3320. Zay Flowers, Devonte Adams, Garrett
26:36Wilson, T. Higgins dealing with that
26:38adductor injury. Still dayto-day feeling
26:40good about it though. Malik Neighbors,
26:43Parker Washington, Christian Watson,
26:44George Pickkins, Carnell Tate, and
26:46Matthew Golden. That rounds out your top
26:4820 21 through 30. Terry McLaren, Mike
26:50Evans, DJ Moore. Still awaiting word on
26:52what he's going to be for this week.
26:54Obviously dealing with that shoulder
26:55injury that has been aggravated uh this
26:57last week. Luther Burden at 24. DK
27:00Mechaf, Jaylen Wadd, Josh DS, Denzel
27:02Boston, J Mo, and Debo Samuel rounding
27:05out the top 30.
27:06>> There you go. Debo Samuel has 15 or more
27:08fantasy points in three of his four
27:10games this year. Doesn't really feel
27:12sustainable, but he's looked really
27:14good. So, he's in that flex radar this
27:16week.
27:16>> Yeah. One of those games he had zero
27:18targets for 80 yards.
27:19>> Exactly. He's had some weird things.
27:21>> Such a great point. Like I was I
27:22couldn't quite remember what the stat
27:24was, but Mike as always joining on.
27:26>> Talk about George Pickkins. This is my
27:28favorite show of the season.
27:30>> Uh we'll discuss this game in more dep
27:33from now on.
27:34>> Yes, I'll bet you are. I'll bet. George
27:36Pickins games coming tomorrow night.
27:37>> You think so? I think so. That's the
27:38unlock.
27:39>> I I am That's the That's the what? The
27:41>> unlock.
27:42>> Unlock. Okay. The unlock. I don't know
27:44if that was like a betting lock kind. Is
27:46that like a thing kids say or something?
27:48>> No. We're just finally unlocking George
27:50Pickings in 2026 for
27:52>> Sounds like something they would say
27:53though. We're doing like you're the
27:55unlock. What is that? I don't know what
27:57that means.
27:58>> Did I just If
27:59>> you say it, I know it's cool.
28:00>> Did I just start a trend? No. Dang it.
28:01Did Mike start it?
28:03>> I think you did.
28:04>> Go ahead. Yeah, you you said it.
28:05>> George Pickkins game's coming tomorrow
28:06night. Some of the just like just the
28:09the straight
28:11just the the brass tax of it all is is
28:13is solid. Ninth in routes run, 24th in
28:16targets, 22nd in receptions, 28th in
28:18receiving yards. I feel like George
28:20Pickkins has had a bottom five
28:22percentile outcome of what his season
28:24could be through four games. I agree. So
28:26far this year, I think this is a balance
28:29of CD Lamb is amazing and also George
28:32Pickkins just getting weirdly unlucky.
28:35He has only one end zone target and
28:37that's got to change. He's George
28:38Pickins. He's gigantic. He is massive
28:40and deserves more opportunities near the
28:42end zone. They play the Buccaneers
28:44tomorrow night. Is anybody scared of
28:46this Buccaneers team at all?
28:48>> No, not at all. The Buccaneers have
28:49allowed a wide receiver to reach 20 plus
28:51fantasy points in two separate games
28:53this year. And it's not like they played
28:55a bunch of like juggernaut offense over
28:57the last weeks. They faced Cleveland,
28:59Minnesota, and Green Bay. And they have
29:01allowed a wide receiver to get to 20
29:03plus fantasy points in two of those
29:05three games. So I ain't worried about
29:07the Buccaneers. George Pickkins making
29:09his mark tomorrow night. I think the
29:10Pickins revenge tour begins on Thursday.
29:12>> Is it the last two weeks that we So last
29:15week obviously CD Lamb had 21 targets.
29:17Basically was the entire offense. Was it
29:19the week before that that Javvante had
29:20three touchdowns?
29:21>> He had three touchdowns this past game.
29:23>> This past game. Okay. Oh, it was both of
29:25them together. I did not realize
29:26>> honestly like between if you take the
29:28aggregate dominance from Javvante
29:30Williams and CD Lamb, it just reminds
29:32you of like a daily output from my
29:35>> Wow, we're up to 10. Ding ding ding ding
29:37ding ding ding.
29:38>> Yeah,
29:38>> you're not you're not you're not going
29:39to come back on.
29:40>> I don't think so. Roughly you're playing
29:42at a dis I I can be bought. So, this is
29:44a problem.
29:44>> I can be bought.
29:45>> This is a problem. This is a problem for
29:47you. Uh did you get my gift card by the
29:49way before the show? I didn't get that
29:50yet. Oh, you can just give me stuff out
29:53of your wallet if you want. Why don't
29:54you go?
29:55>> Why don't you talk about Carnell Tate?
29:56>> Yeah, Carnell Tate. A very quiet,
29:58concerning start to this season. Not not
30:00his fault necessarily, but um very quiet
30:02start,
30:04>> but uh trending. Hold on.
30:06>> Why do you carry so much cash in your
30:08pocket, Daniel?
30:10>> Dude, this is great. You're getting lots
30:12of points for these.
30:13>> What? Why do you have so much cash?
30:15>> $60. How many points is $60 worth?
30:18>> One of us is a is a baller. That's why
30:20uh this is what he walks with. How many
30:23points is this worth? We got to figure
30:24this out.
30:24>> 12.
30:25>> So, I'm going to run the numbers.
30:25>> 912.
30:26>> One more than however many I have.
30:28>> Yeah, whatever it is. Anyway, uh Carnell
30:30Tate fellas, uh 6 for 58 on nine targets
30:33against the Giants two weeks ago and
30:34then comes out big time against the
30:36Ravens. Nine for 145 on 12 targets.
30:38That's what we want to see out of a top
30:40five draft pick in the NFL draft. His
30:43target share now is just a hair under
30:4430%. It's ninth in the entire NFL. 43%
30:48in week.
30:49>> The main concern with him going forward
30:51is will he find the end zone? Is this a
30:53guy that's going to have two touchdowns
30:54by season's end?
30:57He has zero touchdowns so far. He has
30:59one end zone target and his expected
31:00touchdown total even with all that
31:02volume is 0.8. We need more work near
31:04the goal line if he's going to get his
31:06game to the next level. I do have the
31:09Titans receivers with the easiest
31:10remaining schedule. This is based on the
31:12first month of the season. Love that.
31:13>> So uh more on that I think tomorrow. But
31:16um that's appealing for Tate. Uh and
31:19they're playing Houston this week who
31:20generally or usually we would think this
31:22would be a brutal matchup. It has not
31:24been so far.
31:24>> Fantasy points on wide receivers
31:26>> the most. 44.6 per game. They've allowed
31:29at least 18 fantasy points to a receiver
31:31in every game so far this season. So
31:34Carnell Tate, you just have to look at
31:35the facts. Four weeks in.
31:37>> That was great.
31:37>> This is a matchup that can be had. The
31:38Texans are struggling.
31:40>> Tate should be locked in.
31:42>> Last night you actually sent an email
31:43with your strength to schedule. I drew a
31:45real nice bubble bath and had a nice
31:47glass of savvi bee and I I actually just
31:49read through the PDF and it was
31:51>> Isn't that PDF cool though?
31:52>> Intoxicating. Yeah,
31:53>> it really is. It was really dope.
31:55>> Check it out. I uh posted posted it on
31:56Twitter yesterday. It's on the website
31:58espn.com. It has just like the main
32:00charts, all six positions. Yeah, it's
32:02their strength of schedule so far
32:03through four games and then the rest of
32:04the season. Uh but if you click the PDF,
32:06it expands to every week so you can look
32:09at each week of the season and what it
32:10looks like. So, I think it's I think
32:12it's pretty cool. I agree. And we'll uh
32:13we'll talk about it more later this
32:15week.
32:15>> Mike Clay NFL is the handle. And if we
32:17get Mike to 5 million followers on
32:20Twitter, I'll pay off his mortgage.
32:21>> Yes. 5 million.
32:23>> Okay. How long do I have to do that by
32:25the end of this? Come on, give me
32:26followers.
32:28>> You still one mortgage?
32:30>> No.
32:32>> Different. Not out of preference.
32:33>> Okay, let's not out of preference.
32:35>> Matthew Golden, guys. I'm going to talk
32:36about him. Matthew Golden has been great
32:38so far this year. Ninth in targets. like
32:41ninth in targets. 126 127. Little bit of
32:44a yo-yo situation there, but four
32:46straight games with Yeah. four straight
32:49games with six plus targets. We will
32:50take that every single week. Two weeks
32:52as a top 20 wide receiver. Both of those
32:54weeks had over 15 and a half fantasy
32:55points.
32:57>> We kind of talked about it was more
32:59narrative,
33:00>> but when we came into the season with
33:01all the stuff that was happening with
33:02the running backs, it's like, are the
33:03running backs bad enough that Jordan
33:05Love does eventually just have to throw
33:06a bunch? Turns out that's sort of what's
33:09happening. Yeah.
33:10>> Running backs are like a like a big old
33:12plate of dirt.
33:13>> Big old pile of mushrooms.
33:15>> I've never met a mushroom I could like.
33:17I've never met a Packers running back I
33:18can like.
33:19>> Wow.
33:19>> But I am in
33:20>> like I'm on green back
33:21>> on Bath. That's fair. You didn't grow up
33:23a Lions fan. I
33:24>> also
33:25>> am still in on Matthew Golden and
33:27Christian Watson with the target share
33:29and with the way that that offensive
33:31line is playing, which is not great by
33:32the way. I think part of why I like
33:34Matthew Golden a little bit more than
33:36Christian Watson is because he's just
33:38peppered maybe potentially closer to the
33:39line of scrimmage with some easy stuff
33:41that that he can use with his uh do some
33:43yak stuff with. So I like Matthew Golden
33:45this week. I think he's a option for us
33:47here as a flex consideration.
33:48>> Yeah, Packer's third heaviest offense so
33:50far to your point.
33:51>> Pass heaviest.
33:52>> Third, what did I say? Third heaviest.
33:53Yeah, they have some big offensive big
33:55>> guys. Well, Christian Watson's a big
33:56guy. Uh yeah, third sorry. Third pass
33:58heaviest offense so far.
33:59>> Yeah, it's Don't worry, we all make
34:00mistakes. I make many more than you do,
34:02but it's very rare for you. So,
34:04>> yes, fair. Thank you.
34:06>> Matthew Golden, also my four-year-old's
34:07favorite NFL player.
34:08>> Seriously.
34:10>> Are you guys familiar with K-pop Demon
34:11Hunters?
34:12>> Yes, a little bit. Yeah.
34:13>> Yeah. They have the big hit. Golden is
34:15the song plays pretty much every car
34:17ride. Yeah.
34:18>> I asked my I asked her what her favorite
34:20color was when we were I was trying to
34:22>> Did she say golden?
34:23>> She said golden pink.
34:25>> Oh, okay. Golden pink, naturally.
34:26>> Golden pink is a color.
34:28>> Is it?
34:28>> I I think that counts. Well, if she had
34:30just said golden,
34:31>> that would have been not right.
34:32>> Yeah, but golden and pink.
34:34>> Golden pink counts.
34:35>> Okay.
34:35>> Um
34:35>> or gold and pink.
34:37>> Both could also
34:38>> that's two colors.
34:39>> Yeah, that's good. It's okay. Have you
34:41never met a child?
34:43>> They not very few are just like
34:44>> every day. Very few are just like
34:48>> green. It's like well blue and and pink
34:51and you know it's usually multiple which
34:53is fine. Rainbow. My my daughters is
34:55rainbow which is all the color.
34:56>> That's fair.
34:56>> Yeah.
34:57>> I met my son when he was 15. He doesn't
34:59talk to me about his favorite color for
35:01what it's worth. A more sophisticated
35:03conversation.
35:04>> It's something different than we talk
35:05about. Let's dive into some tight ends.
35:07Oh, no. Actually, we're going to do the
35:08mailbag first, guys. Before we do that,
35:10shout out to our buddy Eric Moody.
35:11Follow him on social media, Eric Mmoody.
35:14First question comes from Fire Stick
35:16wants to know start to PPR League,
35:19Quinchon Judkins, Jeremiah Love, or
35:22Emanuel Wilson this week, guys.
35:24>> This one's pretty straightforward.
35:25>> Yeah, I agree.
35:26>> Quinchon Judkins and Love Jeremiah Love.
35:28I agree and I'm a Wilson apologist just
35:31because of the situation, but I would
35:32still lean to toward the other two guys.
35:33>> I would too. I would too.
35:35>> Good answers, Mike.
35:36>> Thank you.
35:37>> All right, next one here from our chat.
35:42>> Regal Desert Eagle. There you go. Thank
35:44you, Field.
35:45>> No problem, Mike. Mike told me what to
35:47say.
35:47>> Yes. Coulson Loveland.
35:49>> Joe Farterson this week, guys.
35:51>> Not Joe Farterson. Not enough targets at
35:53all. We're going Coulson Loveland.
35:55Finally.
35:56Well, like at this point with Lovelin,
35:57we're like, that's a passable day. We'll
35:58take that. At least Caleb gets back.
36:00Then we need some big games. But for
36:01now, we'll take passable. And we got
36:02that last.
36:03>> Give me what we got last week.
36:04>> Yep. Agree.
36:05>> That's it.
36:05>> All right, one more. We got another one.
36:06This one comes from Bert Mlin FBI.
36:08>> Should I be worried about Cam Scatabo
36:10usage? Well, field.
36:13>> I just made a trade for Cam Scataboo in
36:14the in the 16 team war room league.
36:16>> Oh, yeah. What' you do?
36:17>> Parker Washington for
36:18>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
36:19>> Which um
36:20>> I I'm not trying to justify the trade. I
36:23just want to give the context. My team
36:25uh has Travis Han as our RB2 which he
36:28wasn't good but at least he was a warm
36:29body. Um
36:30>> you need a running back.
36:31>> Need a running back badly. So we are
36:33able to stem the tide at wide receiver a
36:36bit with Devon Vele as our fourth wide
36:38out or our flex. He steps into that
36:40role. Scatter replaces the husk of
36:42Kendre Miller. Um Scott was I mean I
36:46obviously I thought long and hard about
36:47this because I had the deal this
36:48morning. He's 10 10 catchers through
36:50four games. That's a totally passable
36:51number, but it's two games with four
36:53targets and two games with one target.
36:55>> Uh schedule next week is great. They get
36:57the Saints. Mike just mentioned how bad
36:58of a match
36:59>> next week. Next week this week,
37:00>> I think I'm fine with with Scataboo. I
37:02think he's fine. I like certainly not
37:03the player that he was last year. I
37:05don't think the usage is just concerning
37:06though. Like he's still getting
37:08>> what 15 carries a game. And
37:09>> yeah, a lot of opportunities.
37:11>> It's kind of like Ton in a worse offense
37:13so far because he's not getting goal
37:14line work. The efficiency hasn't been
37:15there. Three and a half yards per carry.
37:16But a lot of that is they're just
37:18grinding him between the tackles. Like
37:19they have to we need more bigger plays.
37:21But uh just two carries inside the five.
37:23That's why he only has one touchdown. If
37:24we start getting touchdowns and I'd like
37:26to see the passing game usage be a
37:28little more consistent. It's not it's
37:29been kind of all over the map.
37:31>> That would help. Um
37:32>> but they they do draw Washington.
37:34They've been kind of quietly good
37:35against running backs. Jonathan Taylor's
37:36the only one to get to 11 against them.
37:38So that's for this week. But um I yeah,
37:41I guess to answer the specific question,
37:43not super worried, but he's fine. looks
37:45more like a mid-range RB2 at best at the
37:48moment. Maybe we can get more out of
37:49him, though.
37:50>> It's weird because like in Jacksonville,
37:52I I sort of understand the Chris
37:53Rodriguez getting goal line touches
37:55because he's a big powerful, right?
37:57>> In in New York, it's like, man, I don't
37:59we don't really like seeding goal line
38:01carries to Naji Harris, right? Like
38:03whatever's left of Naji.
38:04>> I was just going to say the you use the
38:05term like what the husk of Naji Harris.
38:07>> Yeah. Part of that is the fact that
38:09Scataboo is 10th in the NFL in carries.
38:11Like they are just giving it to him as
38:12much as they possibly can between the
38:1420s, I guess. So, it's a tricky one.
38:16>> Let's talk about some tight ends.
38:17>> Let's do it.
38:18>> We'll start with Mike Clay.
38:21>> Why?
38:21>> We were talking about some tight ends.
38:23>> I know, but why me first?
38:25>> He was trying to compliment.
38:26>> Compliment.
38:27>> Well, you got to There we go.
38:28>> There we go. That's I had 105.
38:30>> I was You got So, the $20 bills count
38:32for
38:33>> You've been working out though. Yeah, I
38:34can tell.
38:35>> 106. Okay.
38:36>> A lot of lot of squats. All right.
38:37>> I've been slacking. Uh, yeah. TJ
38:39Hawinson.
38:40>> Wait, no. I'm going to give the rankings
38:41first. Sorry.
38:41>> Except for me to go first. I know it was
38:43because I made you uncomfortable by
38:44complimenting your body. We're going to
38:46start with tight ends 1 through 10. Trey
TE Rankings
38:48McBride, Brock Bowers, George KD, Sam
38:50Laaporta, Isaiah Likely, Tyler Warren,
38:52Harold Fannon, Tucker Craft, Jawan
38:55Johnson, and Coloulston Lovelin. Coulson
38:57Loveland does make it as a top 10 tight
38:58end this week. TJ Hawinson coming off of
39:02last week's big game at 11. Mark
39:04Andrews, Daltton Concade, Brentton
39:05Strange, Kenyan Sadi, Pat Frymouth,
39:07Michael Mayer, Kottton, AJ Barner,
39:09Hunter Henry, and Lord help you if you
39:11need to start any of the names on this
39:12second half of this list.
39:14>> I mean, look at him.
39:15>> I know. Sorry, Field. It's just a tough
39:16one. Tight end does not feel great once
39:19you get past tight end um two.
39:21>> Yeah.
39:22>> And but you know, let's talk about a few
39:24of these guys.
39:24>> You have like Leaporta.
39:26>> Yeah. No, that mid-range and there's
39:28been a few that have kind of come on
39:29this season. We have a few guys that
39:31stepped up that maybe we didn't plan on.
39:32One of them being Joan Johnson for the
39:34Saints.
39:34>> He's been awesome. Fun player to watch,
39:36too. Now, in this series, as we know,
39:38throws the ball a ton. Tyler Shuck has
39:4018 more passing attempts than any
39:42quarterback in the league. Mike
39:44mentioned the run defense issues. I'm
39:46not sure they're much better at
39:47defending the pass either. So, this
39:49Saints defense is as bad as Mike is
39:51great. Good opportunity for them to
39:53continue to throw the football a lot on
39:54offense. And Jawan Johnson, amongst
39:56tight ends, is fifth in routes run,
39:59fifth in targets, third in end zone
40:01targets. does get those looks when they
40:03are near the goal line. Noah Fant who
40:05does not totally impact the value of
40:08Jawan Johnson, but if he's available,
40:10it's potentially slightly, you know,
40:12like a target less per game for Jawan
40:14Johnson. He was a scratch this past
40:16Monday night against Atlanta. We'll see
40:18his status for this upcoming weekend.
40:20It's a bad matchup against Minnesota. I
40:23think without spoiling it, the Saints
40:24win that game, though.
40:26>> Interesting.
40:27>> I think I just spoiled it, though.
40:28>> Yeah, a little bit. That's okay, though.
40:29We'll come back to it. Mike, who you
40:31want to go with?
40:31>> Uh, I'm going to talk about TJ Hawinson,
40:33your old buddy. Oh, yeah. From right now
40:35in Minnesota. Uh, ever since that injury
40:37a couple years ago, he hasn't been that
40:39same sort of I I wouldn't go as far to
40:41say elite fantasy tight end, but
40:43certainly like in the top five
40:45conversation most weeks. Hasn't been
40:46there, but maybe Kyler Murray can
40:48reunlock that. Last week he did 13
40:50targets, 13 catches, 119 yards against
40:53the Dolphins. He had a 39% target share.
40:56Guys, he's up to 26% target share this
40:59season. and that ranks 18th in the
41:00entire NFL and fourth at tight end. So,
41:02he's getting a ton of volume. Uh there
41:05could be this could be something with
41:07Kyler. Trey McBride had a 27% target
41:09share with Kyler during weeks one
41:11through five last season when he was
41:12healthy. It was 30% the year before the
41:14full season with Kyler. Remember before
41:17Trey McBride broke out, it was Zack Z
41:19who was super productive with Kyler
41:21Murray. So, there could be something
41:22here in terms of added volume and they
41:24play the Saints who to your point have
41:25struggled um they've struggled against
41:27this position. 28 points to Brock
41:29Bowers. Michael Mayer also scored in
41:31that game. And Mark Andrews and Sam
41:32Laorter both had fine fine days there,
41:34but both had at least nine and a half
41:36points. So I think Hawinson is a very
41:38high floor play here in week five. And
41:40if he finds the end zone, we could be
41:42pushing 20 points here.
41:43>> Love that. Who do you think wins that
41:44one?
41:46>> Uh who did I pick? I think I think I'll
41:48probably pick Minnesota. I just
41:51>> But they have they have to be able to
41:52score points.
41:52>> That's a really good pick. That's a
41:54really smart That's smart, Mike. I like
41:56that. Yeah, that's
41:58I want a cut up of this episode by the
42:00way for
42:02>> I need ESPN talent office sent just
42:04forward it right along.
42:05>> That's right.
42:06>> Uh Coulson Lovelin guys I'm rolling with
42:08them here as a top 10 tight end
42:10>> at this point. What we saw last week
42:12needs to be the standard the expectation
42:14of what we get out of Coulson Lovelin.
42:15First three weeks of the season, two
42:17targets, three targets, four targets.
42:19Last week nine targets. That's what it
42:21needs to be. I'd love to know what's
42:22happening right now. 6 for 57. He
42:25started much slower than what we wanted.
42:27But a lot of this, to be honest, is just
42:29anecdotal. Coloulston Loveland is an
42:32unbelievably talented and athletic
42:34freak. To play a position in which we
42:36have very few athletically talented
42:38freaks that are at the top of their
42:39game, even though he has struggled and
42:41started slow, I am still going to trust
42:43the talent and hope that they get him
42:44involved like we saw last week. So, I'm
42:46rolling with him again as a low-end
42:48tight end one.
42:49>> Coloulston Lovelin athletic freak. Brock
42:50Bower's athletic freak. We're talking
42:52just tight ends here. Yeah. Trey
42:53McBride, George KD. I would say at the
42:56top is Mike Clay.
42:57>> Mike Clay probably had the number one.
42:58Yes, for sure. For sure.
43:00>> You both agreed there. That's a wash
43:01out, but I appreciate it.
43:02>> Couple of quick streaming defenses for
43:04you guys, just so that you know. Uh
43:06Dallas Cowboys, they were the most added
43:08defense this week. You want to know why?
43:09They are taking on the Tampa Tampa Bay
43:12Buccaneers.
43:13>> George Pick is going to have three
43:14touchdowns. The Cowboys might have eight
43:16sacks.
43:16>> Yep. So, that's going to be a very big
43:17one. You can look at all those guys
43:18there. uh last week against the Packers.
43:21Packers had two sacks, two
43:22interceptions, three sacks, only allowed
43:2414 points. Love that as a potential
43:26streaming defense. Mike, what about you?
43:27>> Yeah, looking at the Bengals here, third
43:29in the NFL in sacks, and they draw
43:30Miami. They've been the third most
43:32generous to opposing defenses this
43:33season at 10 fantasy points per game.
43:36So, Bengals, good streamer this week.
43:37>> Field field.
43:38>> I got the Jaguars who have the Eagles
43:40coming up. Uh this game is over in
43:42London. This Jacksonville defense has
43:44been really solid so far this year. And
43:47the Eagles of course are now without
43:48Lane Johnson dealing with significant
43:50injuries along the offensive line.
43:51Dvonte Smith could be out. Dallas Gddard
43:53could be out. Saquon Barkley could be
43:54out. So it's Jaylen Herz throwing to
43:57Darius Cooper and Zack Z and Devont
44:00Dontavian Wix. So tough sledding for
44:02Philadelphia on Sunday. I actually think
44:03they keep that game at least very close
44:06if not win. I think there's a grittiness
44:07and a toughness about this Eagles team.
44:10Uh and this is not just me trying to
44:11compliment Mike for real. I think they
44:12they will find a way to stay in this
44:14game.
44:14>> I hope so. I don't know if they're going
44:15to win or not, but I do think this
44:16Philadelphia team's going to prove to us
44:18they dig deep when people expect them to
44:20be out.
44:20>> I I don't really know what to expect
44:22either. Maybe they do hang in there like
44:23they did with the Rams. That's a game
44:25everyone thought the Rams would
44:26>> uh handle. This feels like a game that
44:28could be 33 to three, but I I don't I
44:30hope I hope that's not not the case.
44:33>> All three of those defenses are
44:34available in more than 50% of leagues.
44:36They're the three most added defenses
44:38through waiverss, but still available in
44:39a number of leagues for you to be able
44:41to go and grab them.
44:41>> I have a legitimate question for you.
44:43Um, one of the highest projected
44:45defenses this week is the Jets
44:47>> against the Browns.
44:48>> Yep.
44:49>> The Browns seem like they're playing
44:51better offense. Is that
44:53>> There's still some Deshun Watson turning
44:55it over in in his projection. Okay.
44:58That's a big part of that. And also the
44:59Browns are not exactly lighting it up
45:01offensively in terms of scoring big
45:02points. So, I think there's a little bit
45:04of a cap on that. So, that's uh
45:06generally where it comes from. So, yeah,
45:08not not getting too worried about that.
45:10the projection for a basically that how
45:13it works in terms of like the metrics
45:15for a quarterback is it evolves as the
45:16season goes on. So obviously to open the
45:18season it's based on historical numbers
45:21and year-to-year progression kind of
45:22regression to mean in some categories
45:24but every week as they you know 40 more
45:27uh dropbacks it'll just start to use
45:30more of what we've seen this season. So
45:32Watson's numbers his efficiency
45:34projections are getting better but we're
45:36not totally forgetting about it's a
45:37small sample with him. He still has
45:39turned it over this season a few times
45:40as well. Made some mistakes. So, uh,
45:43still a a guy that could be a liability
45:45in that area.
45:46>> Understood.
45:47>> Let's do a little fantasy face off. Me
Fantasy Faceoff
45:50versus Field. Mike gets to be the judge.
45:52Whoa, we didn't change the animation.
45:54Mike should be in the middle there.
45:55Sorry about that, Michael. I apologize.
45:57I'll talk with our team about it and
45:58just know that I'll handle it.
46:00>> We could pay homage to one of the great
46:02sitcoms of our of our childhood, Malcolm
46:04in the Middle.
46:05>> Oh, that's true.
46:06>> Yeah, that's right. Frankie Munz uh was
46:08a big racer now.
46:09>> Yes, he drives in the Arca series. Yeah.
46:11Or did he go to trucks? I think he went
46:13to the truck series. But either way,
46:14>> I think he's fallen on some tough times
46:15of late.
46:16>> Yeah. Yeah, he has. But uh yeah, it was
46:18cool to see him make that change. He's
46:20like our age, too. And then living the
46:22dream, right?
46:22>> Really good like as a racer.
46:24>> Uh
46:26>> I don't want I don't want to disrespect
46:27his game, but uh work in progress, but
46:29you know, it's hard when you he's an
46:31actor, right, for so he's done that his
46:32whole life and then he decided, hey, I
46:34have money. I'm going to invest in a
46:35team and race because it's something I
46:36want to do. Why not? And he's great.
46:38He's develop. He's a He's a development.
46:40He's He's a developing driver.
46:42>> That's what Mike Clay's hoping to be
46:43someday. He's a development driver. He
46:44just wants to be Wouldn't that be great?
46:46Wouldn't you would you do it?
46:48>> Yeah.
46:49>> Would you drive around?
46:50>> I raced go-karts and my dad was a a
46:52champion racer on dirt in Pennsylvania.
46:54Uh won two track championships uh in in
46:57the late 80s. So, he was
46:59>> How fast did your cars go?
47:00>> Mine? Oh, mine weren't? I mean, this was
47:03when I was a kid, so not super fast, but
47:05I I don't know what the miles per hour
47:06was, but okay. Enough to be competitive.
47:08Like, it was it was fun.
47:10>> Let's dive into a couple of guys that
47:11we're gonna bring to the table. Sorry.
47:12>> Do it.
47:13>> Fantasy Faceoff. Field and I are both
47:15going to bring a player to the table
47:16that we would rather start over the
47:18other person's player. We're going to
47:19start at the quarterback position. Do
47:20you want to go first or do you want me
47:21to go first?
47:22>> You know, let's go with Beauty before
47:23Age.
47:24>> All right. So, I will go first.
47:27Wait a second.
47:29I'm older than you. I'm I'm almost a
47:31man.
47:32>> Yeah.
47:33>> I can't wait to turn 40 so I can say I'm
47:35a man. I mean, I actually don't want to
47:36turn 40.
47:37>> When I turned 40, I used that uh that
47:39gift like once and then I said it like
47:40once or twice and then it was like,
47:41"Okay, all right.
47:42>> On to the next thing."
47:42>> Now, now I'm over better. See if you can
47:45do better and utilize it more.
47:46>> Bon I got Bonx bringing to the table.
47:48Bon.
47:49>> Okay. All right.
47:50>> Last couple weeks, here's the deal. He
47:51was really good two weeks ago against
47:53the Rams. By really good, I mean his
47:54fantasy points were really good. 24.14.
47:57He's actually really struggled so far
47:58this year. 5.4 4 14.1 13.5. But you look
48:02at the defenses they've played. Kansas
48:03City, Jacksonville, the Rams, and San
48:05Francisco.
48:06>> Oh, fair.
48:06>> So, it has been a very difficult road.
48:08Chargers,
48:10>> who they're playing this week, have
48:12allowed three quarterbacks to top 16 and
48:15a half fantasy points against them.
48:17That's a much nicer floor than it is the
48:18difficult matchups he's had in recent
48:20memory. Uh, by the way, on the other
48:22side, Fields guy, uh, is going to play
48:24the 49ers. They've only allowed one
48:26>> quarterback to top 13.6 fantasy points.
48:28So, they've done really good so far this
48:29year.
48:30>> Um, so I just think this is a defense
48:32that can be taken advantage of. You
48:33know, last week it it was a situation in
48:35which it did not feel like we needed to
48:37utilize Bon Knicks quite as much. It was
48:38a much more difficult of a matchup. He
48:40threw the ball 40 42 times though still.
48:43So, I'm going with Bon Knicks as a
48:46high-end QB2 over one Sam Darnold this
48:49week.
48:49>> Yeah. Interesting. That's interesting
48:50call because Bon Knicks has been so bad
48:52this year. Up and down. I don't I don't
48:55I don't like playing players that, you
48:56know, you get the jackal and hide nature
48:58to them. I prefer guys that are Super
49:00Bowl champions, that have pedigree, that
49:01bring it to the table when it matters
49:03the most.
49:04>> Like Sam Darnold, who I grant you, has
49:06only played in two full games this year,
49:08but two weeks ago against Washington, he
49:10absolutely lit it up. Nearly 28 fantasy
49:12points, which is more points in any
49:14game, more points than Bo Knicks has
49:16scored in any game so far this season.
49:18Yeah. Yeah, you're right that San
49:20Francisco has largely held quarterbacks
49:22in check except for Jacobe Brassette
49:24>> for 26 fantasy points against the
49:26Niners. The Rams forgot it was the
49:28regular season when they went to
49:29Australia 10 minutes before kickoff. I'm
49:31throwing that Matthew Stafford game away
49:33and then they played Bo Nicks who we
49:35just talked about who Bo, you don't know
49:36what you're going to get. Sam Darnold
49:38and the Seahawks team locks in. They
49:41knock out the San Francisco 49ers for
49:43their first loss of the season. Sam
49:45Darnold to JSN two times. You heard it
49:48here first. Sam Darnold a better play
49:50than Bon Knicks.
49:51>> Hey, by the way, they did that last
49:52week, right? Oh, wait. No, he had 13.3
49:55fantasy points against the Chargers. Sam
49:56Darn.
49:57>> Chargers are trash. But Mike, did you
49:59get a haircut? I don't know why your
50:00hair looks so good.
50:00>> I'm getting a haircut today at 12:30.
50:02Okay. Uh, thank you for not noticing.
50:05>> All right, I have to decide on this one.
50:06Bonus.
50:07>> Good call. Two good cases.
50:08>> Sam Darnold
50:09>> Field.
50:10>> Get back online. Daniel, you you WIN
50:12THIS ONE.
50:12>> YES.
50:13>> You know where you got me? Where?
50:14>> You got me with the the tough schedule
50:16so far.
50:17Four games are tough and I still believe
50:18in Bon Knicks's talent. I think that's a
50:20fair point. I think he gets it going
50:22>> uh the right direction.
50:23>> I believe Seth Walder, who does
50:25analytics for us here at ESPN, very,
50:26very, very smart, has a lot of cool
50:28insights. Uh he had a post uh last night
50:31on Twitter, uh that the Broncos, I
50:33think, have played four of the top five
50:35teams in ESPN's football power index.
50:36>> Really?
50:37>> So, they've they've faced as difficult
50:39of a schedule basically as
50:40>> You know, it's funny you say that. I
50:41noticed and the strength to schedule
50:42chart shows the easiest schedule
50:44remaining for the defense special teams
50:46is the Broncos going forward. So you
50:47wonder why that's supposed to be an
50:49elite defense. Why have they struggled?
50:50Well, the schedule's been brutal going
50:52forward. It's very light. Although Pat
50:53Zertan injured, so
50:54>> yeah, we'll keep an eye on that eye on
50:56that.
50:56>> Y All right, I'll let you go first here
50:58for the second one just so you can kind
50:59of get your feet underneath you a little
51:00bit.
51:00>> All right, so I think it's pretty
51:02obvious who's going to start at running
51:03back for the Eagles this weekend, right?
51:05>> Yes. They literally only have one guy,
51:07right? And so the thing about Will
51:09Shipley is that he's going to get a ton
51:10of volume this weekend.
51:12>> Sure.
51:12>> On top of that, Will Shipley is a very
51:14gifted pass catcher. The Eagles have
51:16talked about how they're going to play
51:17more under center now with Jaylen Herd.
51:19It's kind of meet Jaylen back in the
51:21middle. This Eagles offense is going to
51:22get back on track a little bit. Now,
51:24what you may not know is that Will
51:26Shipley
51:28>> has English roots.
51:29>> Okay.
51:30>> All right. Will has three uncles who
51:32still live in London and they are
51:34amongst the biggest and most popular on
51:37the internet arm wrestling scene.
51:39>> I want this to be true
51:40>> in the entire world.
51:42>> Those guys are all going to be there and
51:43they're going to be intimidating the
51:44Jaguars before the game on Sunday
51:46morning. And do you want to bet against
51:48Will Shipley and his three uncles live
51:49in London?
51:51>> This is real or
51:52>> right? Like this is
51:53>> You sold it really well. If it's not
51:55real,
51:55>> it's not real. Will Shiffley is going to
51:58get more opportunities than I believe
52:01Kyle Manungai will get. He is not
52:03necessarily going to be as efficient
52:04Manungai behind that awesome awesome
52:07offensive line in Chicago. But volume,
52:10good pass catching and I think he's
52:11going to find his way into the end zone.
52:13Give me Will Shipley.
52:14>> I hear you Field. I'm going to go over
52:15the top on this one though. That's an
52:16arm wrestling reference that neither one
52:18of you get, but a bunch of people in our
52:19chat understand. That's right.
52:22>> Kyle Manungai.
52:23>> Bears have played how many games this
52:25year? Four games, right?
52:26>> Yes,
52:26>> that will be correct.
52:27>> Okay. In those four games, a Bears
52:28running back has topped 20 fantasy
52:30points three times so far.
52:32>> Impressive. Two of them were him, right?
52:33>> Yes. Including last week where he had
52:36146 rushing yards and two rushing
52:37touchdowns. He has done it twice in four
52:40games this year. The best an Eagles
52:42running back has done is 11.9 fantasy
52:44points. That was Tank Bsby, by the way.
52:46Not even Saquon Barkley.
52:47>> Saquin had two nine-point games in his
52:49two healthy games. I just have much more
52:51faith in the Bears running backs this
52:53season. I have much more faith in the
52:54Bears offense this season. I recognize
52:57Will Shipley will play probably more
53:00>> than Kyle Manungai. I'm just going to
53:02default to what I think is going to be a
53:04better offense. And the ability that if
53:05it runs through Kyle Manungi like it did
53:07last week, you have a higher higher
53:09chance at an upside.
53:10>> You know, I'm a practical numbers guy
53:12and you just made up facts to make your
53:14case. I can't I can't support that.
53:17Thanks. Point to Daniel. Also, he gave
53:20you $60.
53:21>> No. Whoa.
53:23Dang it. I did.
53:25>> I thought
53:26>> I I have to go on guy here, but yeah.
53:28>> Sorry guys.
53:29>> So I I expect better field. Gota do
53:31better.
53:31>> Will Shipley is going to touch the ball
53:33a ton. He absolutely will. He is. I
53:35think he will have more touches than if
53:37>> I really don't know what they're going
53:38to do. I wouldn't surprise if it's 45%
53:40of the snaps or 60 I don't know like 70.
53:43>> I just don't Who do you have right now?
53:46Like
53:46>> Damen Pierce as the two.
53:48>> Is there anyone that you want to start?
53:49>> Jaden Blue. I don't want to start any
53:51Eagles running back, especially in a
53:52game where I think they're going to have
53:53a hard time.
53:54>> You don't want to start a single eagle
53:55right now.
53:56>> No, they're going to have a they're
53:57going to have a hard time. I I really
53:58believe that.
53:58>> All right,
53:59>> cool.
53:59>> Sorry about this, Field.
54:00>> It's okay.
54:01>> You tried so hard to make Mike be your
54:02friend earlier, too.
54:03>> I did.
54:03>> I think I'm going to crush you in this
54:04last one.
54:05>> Yeah, but one of the compliments was I'm
54:06just practical and practical guy. I got
54:10to I got to listen to the info and make
54:11the right choice here. It's very
54:12important.
54:13>> Ready for a clean sweep?
54:14>> This is No, I'm not.
54:15>> This is serious business.
54:16>> All right. Who Who is it?
54:18>> We need time for a random rank. We got
54:19to be quick.
54:19>> Lions have given up six games of at
54:21least 19.9 fantasy points to a tight end
54:23or wide receiver so far this year.
54:26>> Um Michael Wilson takes them on this
54:28week. We obviously think that Trey
54:29McBride is going to be an every week
54:30starter. Michael Wilson fits the bill.
54:32Did you know that he has 30 targets over
54:34the last two weeks, most in the NFL,
54:36fourth in the NFL in targets. Everything
54:38that you have seen from the Lions
54:40secondary I don't need to harp on and I
54:41don't want to. Michael Wilson is an easy
54:43top 10 play this week. Zay Flowers is a
54:45better player than Michael Wilson even
54:47with Lamar Jackson unlikely to be
54:48available because who's a way better
54:50player, Zay Flowers or Michael Wilson.
54:52It's Z Flowers. To me, it's pretty
54:54apparent. Zay Flowers is seventh in the
54:56NFL and run after catch per reception.
54:59You put the football in Z Flowers hands.
55:01Good things are going to happen. You
55:02have your backup quarterback. You're
55:03facing all of a sudden pretty darn good
55:05defense. Yeah. What's the strategy here?
55:07Get the ball out quick. Let Zay Flowers
55:10do the heavy lifting for you. He's
55:11fourth in the NFL in receiving yards, by
55:13the way. The guy's played hurt. He
55:15played 45% of the snaps in one game. He
55:18missed the second half of another game.
55:20He's absolutely electric here. Don't
55:22overthink it. Don't allow this trendy 30
55:25targets over the past two week, Michael
55:27Wilson blind you from the light that is
55:30the most handsome fantasy analyst with
55:32the best thoughts in all of ESPN and the
55:36Z Flowers loving Mike Clay. I love that
55:38we went from quarterback from Bon Knicks
55:40and Sam Darnold to Kyle Manungai and
55:41Will Shipley and now we're arguing about
55:43two guys. We have like eight and 10 in
55:46Michael Wilson and Ze Flowers.
55:47>> Look, I I have Wilson ranked higher. So,
55:49the way I'm attacking this is not like
55:51who obviously I know I have who I have
55:53hired. I'm not just going to pick that
55:54person. It's whoever gets me to move the
55:56needle a little bit closer. So, this one
55:58I'm going to have TO GO WITH FIELD.
56:00>> WAY TO GO, FIELD.
56:01>> THANK YOU. Well done. Way pace.
56:03>> All right. I have to give you your
56:05flowers.
56:06>> Thank you. I'll take my 60
56:07>> and I'll give you your money back.
56:08>> No, thank you. Thank you. I appreciate I
56:10appreciate. All right, let's dive into
56:11some fun rankings here, guys, really
56:13quickly to end the show. We have a lot
56:14of fun being able to do this and we want
Random Rankings
56:15to hear what you guys have to say in
56:17chat as we go through it. These are
56:18going to be our favorite team logos.
56:21Each one of us brought three to the
56:22table. Mike, we're going to start with
56:24you. You're going to do three sports
56:26logos.
56:26>> Okay, we'll do my countdown. Quick
56:28honorable mention. Oh, we're starting
56:29right there. My number one my number
56:31one's on the board. Never mind. Yeah,
56:33I'm going uh Mark Martin's Valvaline
56:35scheme or the Valvalene scheme in NASCAR
56:37in general is always a home run for me.
56:39I grew up a Mark Martin's always been my
56:41guy, my favorite athlete. He is the
56:43best. And before you say drivers aren't
56:44athletes, this guy literally has books
56:47about his workout. Go to his face and
56:49tell him he's not an athlete. That guy
56:51is still absolutely jacked. He's
56:53awesome.
56:54>> Mike was actually conceived at a NASCAR
56:55race. He hasn't told a lot of people.
56:57>> But I'm wearing my Mark Martin shirt
56:58today as well because love it. Uh Kansas
57:00City Chiefs are second. Dallas Texans as
57:02well. They're the old name of their
57:03franchise. Always been uh attracted to
57:06those colors for some reason. Always is
57:08has hit home. And also my daughter's
57:10name Casey Clay. Casey. So she wears the
57:12Casey merchandise.
57:13>> Look at that number.
57:14>> Mike's middle name was Daytona. It all
57:16makes more sense.
57:16>> Now it makes more sense. Yes. Uh and the
57:18Colorado Avalanche. I was a big
57:20Avalanche fan growing up because I just
57:22loved when they moved from Quebec. I
57:23love the logo. So love that. Uh
57:25honorable mention the 98 to 2008
57:28New York Jets. Uh, always loved the logo
57:30like the white helmets. The Chad
57:31Pennington era. Yeah, white helmets.
57:33Always love that one. Pennington's my
57:35guy.
57:35>> Where do you think the days of Thunder
57:36crew got the term Robbins racing?
57:38>> No idea.
57:39>> Came from Mike's parents, obviously.
57:40>> That is inappropriate.
57:42>> Why don't you go? I'll go next here.
57:44I'll go next here, guys.
57:45>> You actually have to leave the show.
57:47>> Sorry about that. My number one, guys,
57:49the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Do you
57:50remember being a kid?
57:51>> This was one of my
57:52>> and this movie came out and it was so
57:54cool. You've got the old school hockey
57:56mask like the Jason mask and it looks
57:58like a duck with like it was
57:59unbelievable. Just a super cool logo.
58:02Very nostalgic from my youth. Also the
58:05Seattle SuperSonics
58:06>> took all three of my picks for the
58:07record.
58:07>> Are you serious?
58:08>> Yes.
58:08>> Oh, I love the Seattle SuperSonics logo.
58:11So does Field. I guess we have great
58:12taste together. We can we can be nice to
58:14each other now that we're not going
58:15against each other.
58:16>> And then the Harford Whalers.
58:18>> Awesome.
58:19>> This is an unbelievable logo.
58:21Unbelievable logo. The H with the W. You
58:24see the negative space with the like
58:26it's an unbelievable thing. And the fact
58:27that there's, you know, no like
58:29aggressiveness within the Hartford
58:30Whalers logo. It's just a very cool
58:32family-friendly logo.
58:33>> They don't use these logos anymore. None
58:35of your three logos exist anymore.
58:37>> I know.
58:38>> No one said anything about them being
58:39>> They're amazing though.
58:40>> Did they?
58:40>> No, they didn't. I'm just saying there's
58:42a reason they don't exist anymore.
58:43>> Uh sort of interesting that Mike's third
58:45logo was the Colorado Avalanche. I don't
58:47know how many people know this, but
58:48Colorado used to have a hockey team.
58:50>> They did. Before the Avalanche, it was
58:52the Colorado Rockies, not the baseball
58:54team.
58:54>> Are you serious?
58:55>> Seriously? From like 1976 to 1982. This
58:59is the Colorado emblem right in the
59:01middle there. My wife's family.
59:02>> Huh.
59:02>> Oh, okay. Go ahead.
59:04>> I still love the the the the logo. It's
59:06awesome. Uh my in-laws live in Colorado.
59:08My wife grew up partially in Colorado.
59:10We have lots of Colorado ties. That
59:12right there is really cool. It's of
59:13course emblematic of the Rockies. Uh and
59:16the hockey team, not the baseball team.
59:17The baseball team's logo is okay. Uh Pat
59:19Patriot throwback to my my youth here.
59:21>> Oh, the
59:22>> Patriots had a good year, but the
59:24Patriots red uniforms are top five in
59:27the NFL when they drop their throwbacks.
59:29I always feel like no matter who they're
59:31playing, they're going to win that game.
59:33This guy, Patriot, is ferocious. He's
59:35hiking a football. He is jocked. He
59:37looks like Mike Clay and Mike and Mark
59:39Martin uh all the way around. Awesome.
59:41And then finally, last but not least,
59:43the UNMBC Golden Retrievers.
59:45>> The first ever 16 team to win a game in
59:47the men's NCAA basketball tournament.
59:50Great lacrosse program as well. I am I
59:52have a Golden Retriever. He's the best.
59:54His name is Cisco and I love him dearly.
59:56And UNMBC stands for UNMB Cisco.
59:59>> Wow, love that.
1:00:00>> Thank you. You're welcome. It's actually
1:00:01It's actually University of Maryland. I
1:00:03believe it's Baltimore County is the
1:00:05actual UNMBC.
1:00:06>> Okay, gotcha. I love that. Chad says
1:00:09>> that I get the dub on this one. 50% of
1:00:11chat likes my logos.
1:00:13>> I didn't even finish reading mining.
1:00:15You're like, "Yeah, chat says I win."
1:00:16>> I know. That's not Well, that's not me.
1:00:18That's just
1:00:19>> my producer Addison.
1:00:20>> Sorry, guys.
1:00:22>> Shout out to guy Addison who made it
1:00:23through his first show today. Proud of
1:00:24you, buddy.
1:00:25>> Very excited to be here. Cannot wait to
1:00:27come back tomorrow. You know what? We're
1:00:28going to dive into our week five
1:00:30previews over Thursday and Friday. We
1:00:32will preview Thursday Night Football and
1:00:33all of the week I know. I can't believe
1:00:35we're here already.
1:00:36>> Man, I don't know where the time goes. I
1:00:40will sign up for a Fuel G8 concert. Tell
1:00:42me where to go. Put that on the wheel.
1:00:44>> Don't forget to love each other and be
1:00:45kind to yourself, you guys. You deserve
1:00:46it. Come back and hang with us. Hang out
1:00:47with us tomorrow. We'll see you then.
1:00:49>> Peace.
1:00:51>> You're in the 060.
