0:13>> What's up friends? Welcome into fantasy
0:15focus football alongside Mike Clay and
0:17Field Jates. My name is Daniel Dopp. We
0:19are very excited to be here on a Friday.
0:21>> Forgot five. We're getting it. We're
0:23getting it there.
0:24>> Fields taking care of it. While Field's
0:26taking care of it, I'll take care of the
0:27logistics here. Very excited. diving
0:29into Thursday Night Football. That was a
0:31heck of a game. We also got the rest of
0:32our week five preview part two, which
0:35will be a ton of fun. And a quick shout
0:37out to our friends over at Trophy Smack.
0:38Use the promo code trophy week five,
0:41excuse me, over at trophymack.com for
0:4410% off your order over there.
0:46>> I think I've done it,
0:47>> guys. Really quickly,
0:49>> you doing okay?
0:50>> I think I got it. Yeah,
0:51>> we're still, it's week five. We're still
0:52a little rough around the edges. One of
0:53the things that we have figured out is
0:54that Field, not quite 40 yet,
0:57>> is starting to fall trapped to some of
0:58the technological advances of our
1:01society.
1:02>> Um, Mike accused me, actually he he
1:04didn't accuse me of anything. He
1:05declared me technology technological
1:09savant before the show.
1:10>> You were cuz you had reattached the
1:12piece of metal to your bar that you
1:13broke yesterday. So, well done.
1:16>> I broke it yesterday, but Daniel
1:17actually fixed it today. Anything handy
1:19on this show is one I would say 90 95%
1:23likely to be settled by Daniel.
1:24>> You used to work on this stuff though.
1:26>> That's true. That's why that's a little
1:27bit different. A little bit different.
1:28All right, let's dive into a little bit.
1:29It was really quickly before we get into
1:30Thursday night football, guys. Saquon
1:32Barkley has not practiced yet this week.
1:34>> Yeah.
Saquon DID NOT practice
1:35>> How we feeling about this one? We talked
1:36a little bit about the Eagles game
1:37yesterday and one of the things that we
1:39had said was not feeling good about any
1:40of the running backs here. If there's no
1:42Saquin, is there anyone that you would
1:43want to feel comfortable rolling with?
1:45>> Yeah, Mike zeroed out Saquon early in
1:46the week for the projections. I think
1:48early in the week it felt like Will
1:50Shipley was definitely the guy that you
1:51want to roster and potentially play
1:54>> and then
1:55>> that's still the case. However, little
1:56bit of momentum behind Damen Pierce
1:59which I don't think means that Damen
2:01Pierce is usable in fantasy this week
2:04>> and I don't think that Will Shipley is
2:06unusable in fantasy this league this
2:08week especially given the state of the
2:09running back spot. We have two teams and
2:11two notable running backs on a buy this
2:13week. I would just say that Will Shipley
2:15feels very much like a
2:18middle of
2:20I would say medium upside player at best
2:22this week against the Jacksonville Jack.
2:24>> Hoping for some receiving game work in
2:26this one maybe a goal line touch
2:27>> for 40 yards to go along with 15
2:29carries.
2:30>> Right. I got him in a couple leagues on
2:31waivers just throwing claims out for a
2:33bunch of guys. He's the one I got. He's
2:34on my bench in all those leagues. I
2:36ideally I'm not using him but
2:38>> there's going to be some situations
2:39where you're short-handed whether it's
2:41wide receiver. There's still injuries to
2:42come. We're so waiting for some news on
2:44guys like Terry McLaren and DJ Moore and
2:47uh who knows on Carnell Tate, all these
2:48sort of guys. So maybe when Sunday
2:50morning comes along, you might throw him
2:52in your in your flex. Keep in mind they
2:54play at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, so Eastern.
2:56So um make sure you check your lineup
2:58Saturday night this week and make sure
3:00he's in there if you need him.
3:01>> On NFL Network, which is now part of us.
3:03>> That's right. In the families.
3:04>> Very excited to see that.
3:06>> Yeah. Hopefully, you actually will be
3:07able to leave Will Shipley on your bench
3:09because you started Bucky Irving in this
3:11Thursday night football game, guys.
3:14>> Holy smokes, Bucky Irving came alive in
3:16this one.
3:18>> Hey, I mean, it it makes sense though.
Buccaneers at Cowboys
3:20Like,
3:20>> if you think about this game, going into
3:22this game, we knew that the Buccaneers
3:24uh were starting their 50 plus million
3:27dollar per year quarterback and the
3:28Cowboys were at their backup
3:29quarterback. So, like it kind of tracked
3:31that the Buccaneers were winning this
3:32game.
3:32>> It was the opposite of that.
3:34>> Oh,
3:35>> yeah. Look, this game did not go how we
3:37expected, but we did say from a fantasy
3:39perspective for the Bucks, it kind of
3:40did though because we said one lineup
3:42block, it's Bucky Irving. Avoid the
3:43rest. And that's exactly how it went. So
3:45once in a while, you get it right. You
3:47know,
3:47>> Amecha Ibuka was fine, especially
3:49because he got a rushing touchdown.
3:50>> Oh, yeah. Fantasy points. Yeah.
3:53>> I mean, he went six for 38 through the
3:54air. I mean,
3:55>> here's the thing, though. Bucky Irvine
3:56was unbelievable. And if you started
3:58him, I'm just going to throw to this. We
4:00had a fun little thing on Sports Center
4:01last night. Check this out real quick.
4:04Bucky Irving, I got to be one of many
4:06people out there to say thank you for
4:08the fantasy points. What a great night
4:10you had. What a great win. Congrats.
4:14>> Hey. Hey, make sure you tell all them
4:16fantasy people stay on that side. You
4:18feel me?
4:20>> Good about it and still about it.
4:22>> Hey, let them know that. Let them know
4:24that.
4:24>> Appreciate your book. Congrats again,
4:27bro.
4:28>> I appreciate y'all. Thanks for having
4:30me.
4:31>> Love that. Trevor and Meline, they're
4:33hanging out with Bucky.
4:34>> Uh, honestly, Bucky Irving was
4:36fantastic. I don't know how much of this
4:38is going to be Bucky Irving moving
4:39forward, but like being able to see him
4:41be the guy again. Did you know that last
4:42year,
4:45>> Kenny Gainwell helped me win a fantasy
4:46championship?
4:48>> That's not going to happen this year,
4:49guys.
4:49>> Not right now.
4:50>> Yeah,
4:50>> that really is the Bucky show.
4:51>> He was awesome last night. I mean, he
4:53ran the ball extremely effectively. This
4:55Cowboys defense is no better, by the
4:57way. I mean, what a pathetic excuse of a
4:59performance for the Cowboys last night.
5:01Remember this off seasonason they fire
5:02Matt Eberlu that might have actually
5:04been late last year and they hire
5:06Christian Parker and all the optimism we
5:08trade for Rashawn Garry and we draft
5:10Caleb DS Malachi Lawrence and we make
5:13some other reinforcements and Quinnon
5:14Williams gets a new deal before the
5:16season starts and this Cowboys defense
5:18is going to trend towards league average
5:20and league average is plenty good enough
5:22because this offense is Super Bowl
5:24ready. No, no, and no all the way
5:26around. just a disaster performance from
5:28the Cowboys. For our purposes, when
5:30you're playing the Cowboys, continue to
5:32tee off on them. And if you thought,
5:34"Hey, I've got the Cowboys defense
5:36available on waiverss. I can stream them
5:38against this undrafted free agent who's
5:40making his second career start 100 hours
5:43after he didn't look that great in his
5:44first career start." That was a bad idea
5:46as well. Depending on your scoring
5:48format, you got at most one point from
5:51that Cowboys defense last night. Might
5:53have been negative scoring. So, the
5:54Cowboys, they're still awful, but Bucky
5:57was awesome last night.
5:58>> Let's talk about the positive side for
5:59the Dallas Cowboys because even though
6:01CD Lamb was not great, Javante Williams
6:03at least found the end zone. But one
6:05thing was promised to me going into this
6:06game,
6:07>> it was that George Pickins was going to
6:09find the end zone.
6:09>> Yeah, it was.
6:10>> Someone made that happen.
6:11>> Yeah.
6:12>> So, I mean, if there's one positive, and
6:13we can talk about all the negatives.
6:14George Pickkins did look great in this
6:16one. At least the box score fantastic
6:17and finding the end zone.
6:19>> I mean, so a couple things here. Like, I
6:20can't give myself too much credit. Hey,
6:22superstar receiver who makes whatever
6:24$28 million this year finds the end
6:26zone. It just felt like it was
6:27eventually time. I thought the Cowboys
6:29were trying to get George Pickkins into
6:31the end zone early in the game. They had
6:33a first and goal from the one. They
6:35targeted George Pickkins pass break up.
6:38I think it was Zion McCulla and then
6:40later on
6:42>> the Cowboys do end of connecting with
6:43George Pickkins where they're down by 14
6:45points. The game script helped.
6:46>> They seemed like the beginning of that
6:47game uh they just weren't running a
6:49normal offense. It was like, first of
6:50all, we're going to try to force it to
6:52George Pickkins. They just get gave him
6:54everything. Second drive, they kind of
6:56got away from that and just moved the
6:57ball around. But then after the second
6:58drive, they're like, "Whoops, we haven't
6:59thrown it to CD Lamb yet. So now we're
7:00going to throw every pass to CD Lamb."
7:02It's like, can you just run a normal
7:03offense because now you're losing? Yes.
7:05>> You're falling behind. Then the the
7:06Bucks started man protecting the ball
7:08well, keeping the ball out of Dak's
7:10hands, and they lost. They fell behind
7:11and lost. I mean, it's like, what are
7:12you doing?
7:13>> That was really looked really didn't
7:15just didn't look good. Yeah, that that
7:16night could have felt a little different
7:18for Dak like if he had just flipped one
7:20of those touchdowns, one of those
7:21interceptions into a touchdown because
7:22he throws for another 12 yards. But yes,
7:24the accuracy was a problem. And then we
7:26should note that CD Lamb, Mike mentioned
7:28it was a clunker game for CD Lamb. On
7:31top of that for CD Lamb, he did he was
7:33in that of the game uh and left it late.
7:36He was eventually declared questionable
7:38to return. He was on the field for when
7:40they went for two to try to make it a
7:42six-point game. the old down eight, do
7:45you go for two or one test?
7:47Analytically, it makes a lot of sense to
7:48go for two. Uh CD Lamb has a quad injury
7:52which he has been playing through. They
7:54now have three extra days before they
7:56play next Sunday night. This is the
7:58first of three straight prime time games
8:01for the Cowboys next Sunday versus Green
8:04Bay. The very very early indications are
8:07that CD Lamb's quad injury ar is not
8:10going to impact his availability for
8:11next week. but put it on that long
8:14injury list that we will monitor.
8:15>> Yeah, he was limping a little bit, but
8:16he did come back on the field that last
8:18drive too when they were working their
8:19way down field. So, that's a good sign.
8:21Gives me as someone very invested in CD
8:23Lamb who's off to a slow start this week
8:25when in the league ended up Bucky
8:26Irving. Uh I I feel optimistic will be
8:29back in 10 days, but let's hope. We'll
8:30see.
8:30>> Purely from a what does each team need?
8:34>> I wonder if the Cowboys because you know
8:36they still stink defensively. Yes,
8:39>> I think this there there are a lot of
8:40reasons why I could talk myself out of
8:42this deal, especially from the Raiders
8:44side,
8:45>> but a George Pickins for Max Crosby just
8:48from like one team's needs to the other
8:50team's needs. Kind of an interesting
8:52deal. Now, I think Max probably feels
8:53better about being in Las Vegas. They're
8:55three and one. They're playing legit
8:57good football. Yeah.
8:58>> Um if they win on Sunday against the
9:00Patriots, that would further cement them
9:01as a team to be reckoned with reckoned
9:03with in the AFC. Um, but just an
9:06interesting thought as the Cowboys
9:07continue to stink on defense and the
9:09Raiders this weekend might be trotting
9:11out Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers as
9:12their top two wide receivers.
9:14>> Yes, I'll be surprised if to your point,
9:16I'll be surprised if Matt gets traded at
9:17this point just because unless they just
9:19go on a big losing streak until the
9:20>> schedule gets tougher. I'm with you. I
9:22just I was thinking about like how do
9:23the Cowboys dig their way out of this
9:25hole? And it's they got to sort of
9:26balance the roster more offense for
9:28defense. And the most obvious trade
9:30player on offense is the guy that's in a
9:32contract here in Georgia. their
9:34defensive plan has been I mean really on
9:35both sides of the ball is like we're
9:37just going to trade or acquire as many
9:39former first round picks as possible and
9:41maybe there's a reason those other teams
9:43are trading them because it's not
9:44working. It looks great on paper. It's
9:46flashy but uh they cannot seem to figure
9:48it out. It's wild.
9:49>> All right, let's look ahead to the rest
9:51of week five here, guys. Couple of
9:53storylines. We're going to start with
9:54Bears and Packers. A matchup of these
9:56two NFC North teams. Some lineup locks
Bears at Packers
9:58in this one. Yep. DeAndre Swift and
10:00Luther Burton the third. Christian
10:02Watson and Matthew Golden. It actually
10:04feels like both of these wide receivers
10:05have made their way into the lineup
10:06block with the volume.
10:08>> Fo, let's start with you.
10:10>> Yep.
10:10>> Be there's big three pass catchers. Only
10:12one of them shows up on that list.
10:13That's Luther Burton. I don't see Roman
10:14Dunes. I don't see Coloulson Lovelin.
10:15Doesn't mean you can't start him, but
10:17let's talk about those guys.
10:18>> Didn't even mention Khif Raymond. Rude.
10:20>> Disrespect. Let me give you my ranks
10:22here. I've got Colston Lovelin as tight
10:24end eight this week. Roma is wide
10:26receiver 23 and Luther Burden the third
10:28is wide receiver 24. I think they're
10:30basically a a coin flip and I think
10:32that's where they're going to be most
10:34weeks in the ranks. The most encouraging
10:36thing from last week is we can break
10:38down the individual targets, but the
10:40three of these guys had a combined
10:42target share of 65% last week with Tyson
10:45Page making his first start. I would say
10:48that the number in an ideal world
10:50>> hovers a little closer to 70 or 75 for
10:53these three guys going forward, but 65
10:55is a massive step forward. It was nine
10:57targets for Coloulston Lovelin, seven
10:59for Roma Dunay, six for Luther Bird in
11:01the third. And I think, well, I don't
11:03want to say we should all agree. I
11:04thought Roma Dunay played one of his
11:06best real life football games that we've
11:08seen in quite some time. Running great
11:10routes, creating separation. Really
11:12encouraging to see that from Rome
11:14because you've got three guys who are a
11:15factor, because you've got a backup
11:17quarterback. Harder to rank any of those
11:19guys harder than where we have higher
11:21than where we have them right now. But I
11:23think all three of these guys could find
11:24their way back into lineups this Sunday.
11:26>> Yeah, no doubt about it. Adun certainly
11:29startable, especially with a couple
11:30teams on a buy and all these injuries.
11:31But uh I don't think he's done enough
11:33yet to quite like if you have him,
11:35you're not like auto start like he
11:37hasn't done.
11:37>> Sure, but he's he's a flex option. I
11:39think all of them are in that
11:40conversation.
11:40>> I was going to ask my my question was
11:42going to I raised my hand there for a
11:43moment as you said Dunay certainly
11:45startable.
11:47>> I thought but I had seen he was not a
11:49lineup block on the screen. So you feel
11:51obviously you feel loose
11:52>> difference between usable but not locked
11:54in. Yeah, burden's done enough more body
11:56of work this year. More production.
11:59>> And the next one, Kyle Manungai.
12:00Michael,
12:01>> I wanted you to team me up.
12:02>> I could tell that. I wanted that. I feel
12:04wanted and needed.
12:05>> Yes. Okay, that's good. That's good.
12:06That's good.
12:07>> Let's talk about Kyle with him. Yeah.
12:08What do we do with him after the big
12:10game? It's probably a hard guy to bench
12:11after he has what, three touchdown, two
12:13touchdowns and 146 yards on 30 carries
12:16last week. Couple things here. First of
12:18all, the Bears offense very much
12:20inflated by the way that game went. They
12:22ran 89 offensive snaps. The Jets ran 32.
12:25>> Oh my gosh. 89 to 39 to 32 in that game.
12:29That's insane.
12:30>> Uh so he ended up getting the hot hand.
12:32He out snap Swift 48 to 32 in this game.
12:35>> But keep in mind weeks one through three
12:37he was way behind Swift and he was
12:38basically doubled up in snaps about
12:40doubled up in carries more than doubled
12:42up in targets. It was clearly uh the
12:45swift show the first three games much
12:46like last season. In those games,
12:48Manonga had exactly 10 carries in all
12:50three. He's not that involved in the
12:51passing game. He has just five targets
12:53in four games this season. And he's the
12:55two big games guys with 20 plus fantasy
12:57points, but he's also been under eight
12:59points in the other two games. Uh so
13:01he's running well, good O line, good
13:03match up here against the Packers.
13:04They've allowed eight touchdowns to
13:05running back so far, but I think he's no
13:07more than a boom bus flex. I mean, it
13:10still should be DeAndre Swift. That's
13:12assuming he actually plays, by the way.
13:13Correct. Yes.
13:14>> Yeah. So, Jeremy Fowler reported
13:15yesterday, and I'll read the tweet
13:17verbatim. This is at 5:10 PM. Kyle
13:19Manungai is dealing with a turf toe
13:21injury, placing uncertainty around his
13:24availability over the next one to two
13:26weeks, though he's hoping to play
13:28through and the team and the player are
13:30still managing the situation. Um,
13:33>> even if he does play, which right now
13:35feels
13:36>> uncertain at best, there's no way the
13:38Bears are going to lean too heavily on
13:39Kyle Lungai. They've got two excellent
13:41running backs. DeAndre Swift being the
13:43the starter here. So, Manungai is a fade
13:45for me this week in the unlikely event
13:47that he does play. He's still in the
13:49projections for right now, Mike.
13:50>> Yeah, he's in there for now, but Swift
13:52still projects as the lead back here.
13:53>> Yep, I'm with you on that.
13:54>> Um I I had a few weeks ago, I think it
13:56was maybe maybe week two or three, I
13:58can't remember what it was. Um Oh,
14:00actually week three because the Bears
14:01played Monday Night Football week three,
14:03I believe. Right.
14:04>> Okay.
14:04>> Yes, they did. Uh the Bears play the
14:06Eagles on Monday Night Football week
14:07three. Accurate. And I was in a matchup
14:09where I was blocked by I think 28 points
14:12almost exactly. And I was like and the
14:13only person my opponent had left was
14:15Kyle Manungi.
14:16>> And I was like doing the math and I was
14:18like I don't even have to look at that
14:19box score of my fantasy match because
14:21there's just no world in which Kyle
14:22Manungai gets to 28 fantasy points PPR
14:26league. He would have to score probably
14:27three touchdowns and rush for 100 yards
14:30because he's hardly involved in the pass
14:32in the passing game.
14:33>> What happened?
14:33>> He did not. I mean thankfully he didn't.
14:35This was this was ago. A week later, he
14:37scored 28 points and I was like, you
14:38know what? I am never taking a thing for
14:40granted ever again in fantasy football.
14:42I was able to squeak by. Well, he ended
14:45up scoring like three fantasy points
14:46that night. I was fine that week, but do
14:49like never count chickens before they
14:51hatch in the world of fantasy football.
14:53>> That's right. Can't believe how bad the
14:54Packers have looked this year. Even with
14:56Tyson Beant under center, guys, I'm
14:58going to take the Chicago Bears to win
14:59this one.
15:00>> Taking the Bears as well.
15:01>> I am taking I believe the Bears. The
15:03producers going with the Packers. Shout
15:04out to Q.
15:05>> Yeah,
15:06>> this is a potential statement game for
15:07the Bears, by the way. Ben
15:09>> or both teams, right?
15:10>> Johnson.
15:10>> Yeah, but I think for Ben, well, fair
15:12Ben Johnson and the Bears, it's it's no
15:15mystery how they feel about the Packers.
15:16Matt Laflur, I don't think feels much
15:18better about the Bears, but it seems
15:19like the animosity is more apparent from
15:22the Bears side. Yeah. And they can bury
15:24the the Packers basically this weekend.
15:25>> Yeah.
15:26>> You know, they go to four and one
15:27without Caleb. Improve to 3 and 0
15:29without Caleb Williams. And the Packers
15:32will be two and three. And they are not
15:33a particularly inspiring two and two so
15:36far, right? It's isn't it?
15:38>> They've beaten the Dolphins and the
15:40Bucks last week with Jaylen Daniels.
15:41Have
15:42>> I'm not mistaken. So,
15:44>> yes.
15:44>> Does that really inspire a lot of
15:45confidence if you're Green Bay and you
15:47go to two and three with your only two
15:48wins being against teams that have one
15:51win combined? Answer is no.
15:52>> Doesn't feel great. All right, let's
15:54talk Browns and Jets. Next one up here,
15:56lineup locks in this one. There's a
Browns at Jets
15:59handful of them. And by handful, I mean
16:00two. Quinchon Judkins worked his way
16:02back into the lineup lock conversation.
16:04Garrett Wilson also definitely a lineup
16:06lock.
16:07>> This is a not a two for team, it's a two
16:09for game.
16:09>> It's a two for two for game. Are we
16:11laughing at Judkins?
16:12>> Uh cuz I said there's a couple of I I
16:14led into this as though there might be
16:15more than just two.
16:16>> Yeah, he did. Okay.
16:17>> Um there is no Kenyan Sadique as a
16:19lineup block in this one. There is no
16:20other pass catcher. Ad Mitchell going to
16:21be out in this one as well.
16:23>> Bree Hall pulled from the projections,
16:26Mike.
16:27>> Yeah, he's was said to be doubtful or
16:29week to week. Still week to week
16:30according to Aaron Glenn. Yeah.
16:31>> All right. All right. So then you want
16:33some water?
16:34>> I have some right here. I'm going to
16:35wait till I'm off camera. All right. I'm
16:36gonna How about I start with the Browns?
16:37>> Yeah. Daniel, can you please tell me
16:39about whether you should uh start a
16:41Browns wide receiver in your flex spot?
16:43>> I think that they're both at least in
16:45the conversation.
16:46>> Okay.
16:47>> I think Denzel Boston is more of a 10
16:49team flex conversation. Casey Conpsion
16:52probably a little bit deeper even though
16:53Casey Conpsion is getting a ton of
16:54targets. Here's the thing. Denzel Boston
16:56leads the Browns in receiving yards and
16:58touchdowns. Casey Conpion reads the team
17:01in targets and receptions. Um Boston has
17:05three end zone targets. He's the one
17:06that looks the best right now with
17:07Deshun Watson. Even though Casey
17:09Conpsion is wide receiver, 17 this year
17:11in targets, he's actually getting a good
17:14amount of volume, he just hasn't gotten
17:16the same kind of production that we have
17:17seen from Denzel Boston. So if I had to
17:19pick one, even though I've seen the
17:20volume, and usually volume is what we
17:22default to, I'm going to go with the one
17:23that's just looked better on the field
17:25right now and that would be Denzel
17:26Boston. I don't have a Denzel Boston
17:28comparison on the Tampa Bay roster, but
17:29for those that watched the game last
17:31night, the way in which a Mecha Ibuka
17:33was utilized is kind of what you're
17:34seeing from Casey Conpsion. It's like
17:36three yard speedouts where a Mecha Ibuka
17:38catches the football and they get six
17:40yards and it basically just makes second
17:43down more manageable. It's not like a
17:45ton of deep work down the field for
17:47Ibuka.
17:48>> Meanwhile, Denzel Boston has the fourth
17:50highest AOT amongst wide receivers in
17:51the NFL.
17:52>> Really happy for him. I continue to
17:53think that that guy has already proved a
17:55lot of the critics wrong that uh
17:57followed him during the pre-draft.
17:58>> Conception is an interesting one because
18:00a lot of the problems, the reason he
18:02hasn't turned all that volume into
18:03production is the connection with Deshun
18:05Watson's just not there yet. Inaccurate
18:07passes galore with those two. So if they
18:10could figure that out and complete an
18:12extra two a game, it's going to make a
18:13huge difference for his fantasy output.
18:14>> Okay, so the good news is he doesn't
18:16only have to throw the football to Casey
18:18Conpsion. So, is Deshun Watson accurate
18:20enough elsewhere, Mike, that you would
18:22consider him a streaming option?
18:23>> I I wouldn't feel cheat.
18:25>> I would say a borderline streaming
18:27option, maybe. I probably wouldn't go
18:28that far just yet, but this is the
18:30highest we've had him ranked this season
18:31by far. Uh, believe it or not, he is
18:3313th at quarterback in fantasy points
18:36this season. The problem is he doesn't
18:38have a ceiling. He has zero top 10. So,
18:40he's 13th without a single top 10 so far
18:42this season.
18:42>> If there is no ceiling, that means the
18:44ceiling is huge.
18:47>> The ceiling is the roof. It's an old
18:48Michael Jordan saying.
18:50>> Wow.
18:50>> Do you know him?
18:51>> You know what? I never thought through
18:52that expression.
18:53>> NASCAR legend.
18:54>> Yes.
18:54>> Michael Jordan.
18:55>> Yeah. Yeah. Legendary owner context.
18:57>> Yes. You know Oh, he used to play
18:59basketball.
19:00>> No.
19:01>> Okay.
19:02>> I know him as a NASCAR owner. I didn't
19:03know that. Um, someone told me recently
19:05Joe Gibbs was involved with football,
19:06too. I don't
19:07>> I've never heard of that guy.
19:08>> Another owner in NASCAR.
19:10>> Yes.
19:10>> See, all the all the smart people, all
19:12the all the legends, they go from these
19:13other sports, they they dominate and
19:14they're like, they pick the best sport.
19:15They go to NASCAR. Can't wait for the
19:17atmlay NFL NASCAR car in 10 years.
19:21>> Mike Clay NASCAR. We have a uh like a
19:23NASCAR digital show here at ESPN.
19:25>> No, we don't have uh NASCAR used to be
19:28prominent on ESPN. It's not on right
19:30now. So,
19:30>> is producer Christina a big NASCAR?
19:32>> Christina is a big NASCAR fan. Yeah,
19:33absolutely. Comes from a NASCAR.
19:35>> I didn't know that either. All right,
19:35we'll have to chat. We'll do a We'll do
19:36a pod or something. Yes,
19:37>> we'll do a pod, Christina. All right.
19:39Already see this.
19:40>> Anyway, more on Watson here. He has yet
19:41to clear 268 passing yards in a game.
19:43just a total of six touchdowns in four
19:45games, but he's been delivering with his
19:47legs, that's been the difference maker
19:48this year. 31 carries, 127 uh rushing
19:51yards. Both of those are top three at
19:53quarterback. So, if they can unlock more
19:55of the passing, there's a chance he
19:56could get into streaming territory. I'm
19:58not going to use him this week against
20:00the Jets. They've quietly been okay
20:01defensively. Fifth fewest fantasy points
20:03allowed to quarterback so far. Like
20:05competition, yes, but uh none have
20:07gotten to 20 fantasy points. And again,
20:09I don't think we're putting Watson on a
20:10list of like
20:11>> hard competition. this Mahomes or Lamar
20:13or Josh Allen. So, uh, not yet, guys.
20:16But he is trending the right way. It's a
20:17guy to keep an eye on certainly in super
20:19certainly in Superflex for
20:20>> Tell you what, guys. Both of these teams
20:21have been feisty this year. The Browns
20:23and the Jets.
20:24>> Not so much last week.
20:25>> Not so much last week. Yes. But they
20:26have been more than I thought they would
20:27be. Who are you going to take in this
20:28one field?
20:29>> I'm taking the Browns.
20:30>> Uh, I am taking the Jets at home in this
20:34one.
20:34>> And I'm going to take the Browns as
20:35well.
20:36>> An even split.
20:37>> Yeah, look at that. Producers taking the
20:38Jets as well.
20:39>> The Browns 4 and one. That would be
20:40something if they win this.
20:42>> Oh my god. Be the most amazing story of
20:45the season to start.
20:45>> Almost as amazing as almost as amazing
20:47as the Bucks winning that game last
20:49year,
20:49>> which I'm still scratching my head over.
20:51>> Football's the best sport ever.
20:53>> Bengals and the Dolphins here, guys. I
Bengals at Dolphins
20:56wonder how many lineup blocks we're
20:57going to have on the Dolphin side of
20:58this one. None. Joe Burrow, Chase Brown,
21:01Jamar Chase, and T. Higgins, though. We
21:03got to have a couple of conversations
21:04here. Field um if Chase plays because
21:07obviously he's still going through the
21:08concussion protocol. Um, if Chase plays,
21:10you're playing him. If Chase plays and T
21:12Higgins plays, is there anyone else
21:13you're gonna start other than T?
21:15>> Uh, if Chase and T Higgins both play,
21:17then both good to go. Obviously there.
21:19Jamar Chase was limited yesterday. He
21:21has made it to at least step three of
21:24the fivestep concussion recovery
21:26protocol. Uh hopefully he's available on
21:29Sunday. Seems like he's got a real shot.
21:31Tiggins is the bigger question mark
21:33right now. Mike has temporarily removed
21:35him from the
21:36>> Maybe temporarily.
21:37>> Maybe not temporarily. Yes, he has for
21:39now removed him from the projection to
21:40see as a DNP in back-to back days. It's
21:43an adductor and a neck issue for T.
21:45Higgins. He's been out there rehabbing
21:47and I don't know this. I just my gut
21:50tells me that T has played in the past
21:52with just one practice under his belt.
21:54So, we'll see whether he's back on the
21:56field at practice today. But, let's talk
21:58through a world in which T. Higgins does
22:00not play on Sunday because it feels like
22:02as of this moment, if one of them isn't
22:04going to play, it's more likely to be T.
22:06Higgins than Jamar Chase. Can anybody
22:08else be started? Well, maybe. Dante
22:10Meyers might get a bump here. He has
22:12creeped up the rankings. Not inside the
22:14top 30 yet, but worth noting that
22:16Meyers, who had seven catches last week,
22:19played a ton amidst a chaotic game for
22:22Cincinnati. Jamar Chase got hurt early
22:24and Dante Meyers ran 42 routes. That was
22:27the second most on the team, just one
22:29fewer than T. Higgins. Now, there are
22:32some that are wondering, all right, if
22:33Jamar Chase is in, but T. Higgins is
22:35out. Will Dante Meyer still play as many
22:39snaps with no T. Higgins? But yes, Jamar
22:42Chase, I think probably. I mean, I I
22:46don't think he's going to be maybe Maybe
22:47he doesn't play the same number of snaps
22:49as Jamar Chase, but I don't think he
22:51drops from wide receiver two to wide
22:52receiver four. I think Dante Meyer still
22:55has a real role here. So, uh, not a big
22:58enough role that he should be a 10 team
22:59consideration, but interesting DFS play
23:02and definitely a deeper league target
23:04for this week.
23:04>> Yeah, I like that.
23:05>> Agreed. Well said.
23:06>> Do you know where your adductors are? I
23:07just looked it up in the internet.
23:08>> Uh, I believe your adductor is somewhere
23:11in your
23:12>> midsection. Oh, never mind. It's
23:14basically your groin.
23:15>> Yeah,
23:15>> your groin area. Okay,
23:16>> that's not good.
23:17>> I did not know that.
23:17>> I didn't either. If that's what T.
23:19Higgins is dealing with, then I'm a
23:20little bit more nervous than I thought I
23:21was.
23:21>> And the neck, too.
23:22>> Yeah. Between those two things like
23:24you've got it all over the place, man.
23:26Yeah, that doesn't feel good if you're
23:27you're on both sides there. How about on
23:28the other side of this one, Mike? Are
23:30you starting or streaming Ali Gordon
23:32this week?
23:32>> Uh, I mean, I guess you have to feel I
23:36guess you have to feel a little more
23:37optimistic after what we saw last week.
23:38It was a very low volume game for this
23:40Miami offense, much like the Jets last
23:42week. But Gordon doubled up Jaylen
23:44Wright and snaps 22 to 11. About doubled
23:46up him up in carries. Crushed him in the
23:49passing game workload. Nine routes to
23:50just two had two targets. Jaylen Wright
23:52was not targeted in this game. Um, and
23:54look, he ran he only had nine carries,
23:55turned it into a 100 yards and a
23:57touchdown in that game. Remember, he
23:59also was productive in week three with
24:0255 yards and a touchdown and 20 touches.
24:04There was no Jaylen Wright, of course,
24:05in that game. Jaylen Wright also started
24:08last week, played the first three snaps
24:09of the game. Then it was kind of a hot
24:11hand approaching Ollie Gordon. The
24:13comments from the coach this week are
24:14that Jaylen Wright will have more and
24:15more of a role. So, that get that makes
24:17this a little bit risky if you're
24:19investing in Olly Gordon. Um, they're
24:21playing Cincinnati this week. could
24:22consider that basically a neutral
24:24matchup. They haven't faced a lot of
24:25running back volume so far uh this
24:27season. So, um again, this is much like
24:29uh Will Shipley, who we talked about
24:31earlier. If you're in a tough spot in
24:32the flex, you can take a shot and hope
24:34Gordon has a big play or two and finds
24:35the end zone, but uh there's a lot of
24:37risk here, especially because we don't
24:38know for sure who's going to lead this
24:40backfield. If Jaylen Wright starts again
24:42and get is hot early, he might be the
24:44guy that plays double the snap. So, we
24:46just don't know. So, definitely a risky
24:48play.
24:48>> Who you guys taking in this one?
24:50>> I have the Bengals.
24:51>> Bengals. or my eliminator pick for the
24:53weekend. I think I've decided I'm just
24:54going to ride the Miami Dolphins
24:56opponent. The wheels fall off.
24:58>> I'm with you on that one.
24:59>> Or maybe if they start to play more
25:00competitive and they, you know, if they
25:01play, I don't know if they play
25:03Tennessee or somebody up coming up. Uh
25:05coming up, uh they had a a very tough
25:07for that offense anyway because we were
25:09talking about this with fantasy. Very
25:10tough schedule to start. Lightens up a
25:12lot going forward. So maybe that'll help
25:13Malik Willis get going a little bit
25:15>> hopefully. All right, Colts and
25:16Steelers. Guys, lineup locks in this
Colts at Steelers
25:19one. Feeling a little tough.
25:22>> Oh, look at this. There's so many more
25:23on this one than I
25:24>> saw. A handful. Now we're cooking.
25:26>> All right. Jonathan Taylor. I agree with
25:28Josh DS. We can have a conversation
25:30about Tyler Warren. I agree with
25:32>> Jaylen Warren and DK Metaf on the other
25:34side of this one. There is no Michael
25:35Pitman Jr. He is officially out to be
25:37honest. He's hardly been a factor in the
25:38for the team since he has been here.
25:41>> Let's talk about the Steelers field.
25:43Rico Dael back at practice.
25:46>> Back at practice, back-to-back days.
25:47He's been a limited participant. sounds
25:49like he's got a real shot to play on
25:51Sunday. So, I just wanted to bring up
25:53the value in Jaylen Warren and what we
25:55have seen with and without Rico and
25:58whether Rico plays whether or not should
26:00you be playing Jaylen Warren. So,
26:02there's been two games with Jaylen
26:04Warren and Rico Dael, two games without
26:06Rico Dattle on the field. Uh in the two
26:08games that Rico was available, Jaylen
26:11Warren had 21 total carries. So, 10 in
26:14one, 11 in the other, and then he had 10
26:16targets in those two games. I think it
26:18was six in one and four in the other.
26:20The big change when Rico Dattle has been
26:22out is that Jaylen Warren went from 10.5
26:25carries per game to exactly 17 in
26:28back-to back games without Rico D. He
26:31actually had exactly 10 targets as well.
26:33So, the passing game role has not been
26:34influenced at all by Rico Dat's presence
26:37or lack thereof, but the rushing volume
26:39certainly goes way up. But here's the
26:41other dynamic that's in play right now
26:42is yes, Rico Dattle is back and yes,
26:45it's a long season. The Steelers offense
26:48has been a little better of late,
26:50>> but not great, right? They weren't good
26:51enough against the Browns last Thursday
26:53night. So, I think Jaylen Warren has
26:56earned the opportunity to be more
26:58decidedly RB-1 for Pittsburgh than he
27:01was when Rico was on the field in weeks
27:03one and two. So, along those lines,
27:05Jaylen Warren still inside our top 15
27:08for running backs. Mike had him as a
27:10lineup block and I agree with that even
27:12if Rico returns.
27:13>> Agreed. Well articulate well articulated
27:16unlike what I just talked about.
27:17>> Yes. No, I agree.
27:18>> It was good.
27:18>> I can I ask you a question and this
27:20isn't a conversation that we have on
27:21here, but you have Josh DS as a lineup
27:23block. I do.
27:23>> What is it that you've seen from Josh
27:25Downs in this Colts offense that makes
27:26you feel like he should started?
27:28>> A heavy volume obviously uh dud last
27:31week, but remember the two weeks before
27:33he had 20 total targets in those games
27:35and was productive from a fantasy
27:36standpoint, 70 plus yards in both. Not a
27:39guy that's going to put up big touchdown
27:41numbers, but he should have more. He
27:43should have a score or two based on his
27:44usage so far this season. He's generally
27:46going to score four or five a year. So,
27:48uh, that'll that'll come. And obviously,
27:50if you think about the dynamic of this
27:52Colts offense, they have to use him. I
27:54mean, what what are you going to do? You
27:55going to feature Laquan Treadwell? Like
27:58Tyler Warren.
27:59>> Well, there's room for Tyler Warren and
28:01Josh DS in this offense, some Keenan
28:02Allen. And of course, you're going to
28:03run the the running game through
28:04Jonathan Taylor, but there's plenty here
28:06for Josh Downs to push for seven or
28:08eight or nine, maybe even 10 targets
28:09spending on game script in this one. So
28:11that's enough for me to to fire up Josh.
28:13I think he should certainly be in
28:15lineups.
28:16>> Before we pick this game, I got to tell
28:17you, I was looking ahead in a league in
28:19where I've got kind of a quarterback
28:21quandry. It's a league deep league 16
28:23teams and I lost Jackson Dart. So I've
28:25been really impacted and limited at
28:27quarterback as a result of that. And I
28:29was looking ahead and some match ups for
28:32next week and you're like, "Oh, that's
28:33exploitable." And Daniel Jones has some
28:35opportunities coming up where you're
28:36like, "Wow, he draws the, you know,
28:39whatever. He draws the Cowboys. That
28:40seems awesome. What a disappointing
28:43start for Daniel Jones. He is. And I
28:46know that Mike has reminded us time and
28:47again that while he was getting some
28:49good opportunistic goal line rushing
28:51attempts last year, Daniel Jones was
28:54thriving as a top 12 fantasy
28:56quarterback,
28:57>> in part because he was throwing the
28:58football all over the yard and doing so
29:00really effectively. That has not been
29:02the case so far this season. And while I
29:04get it, Alec Pierce has been out and I
29:06know they traded away Michael Pitman
29:08Jr., I don't think we felt like Daniel
29:10Jones last year was throwing to, you
29:12know, Randy Moss and Chris Carter back
29:14in the day, right? This was a
29:17>> okay an okay wide receiver room last
29:19year and he was cooking. This year it's
29:22probably less than okay, but still up,
29:24you know, whatever. Not dramatically
29:26worse than where they were last year and
29:28he is just a non-factor in fantasy right
29:30now.
29:30>> Yeah, it's just a reminder sometimes
29:31that teams will everything will come
29:32together for a half a season. They'll
29:34just be lighting it up and then you're
29:36just like, I don't know if they could
29:37sustain this. They don't necessarily
29:38have the roster talent and we're seeing
29:40that. Uh it's rare that teams can can
29:42just keep it up for several seasons in a
29:44row. Actually, your Lions are a good
29:45example of a team that has. They
29:47continually average over three
29:48touchdowns a game. The Bills, even the
29:50Chiefs fell off. I mean, it's just so
29:51hard to do in this league. But you
29:53always have these these batches where
29:54teams just continue to light it up and
29:56the Colts are an example of that last
29:57year and now back to earth here in 2026.
30:00>> Yep. Doesn't feel great though if you're
30:02a I feel like I want to be able to see
30:04the Daniel Jones that was QB7 last year
30:07out there running and slinging it with
30:08this offense. That Colts team was so
30:10much fun to be able to see for a while.
30:11That Alec Pierce contract feels so weird
30:14to me now. Right.
30:15>> Well, we'll see when he comes back
30:16healthy. That could be a different
30:17>> Fingers crossed. Let's hope so. Who you
30:18guys going to take in this one? Mike,
30:19where are you going?
30:20>> Uh, I'm going Steelers.
30:22>> Game is in Pittsburgh. I don't like that
30:23all of us are on the Steelers.
30:25>> Yeah.
30:25>> Wow. And obviously our producer
30:27Christina is a big Steelers fan, so
30:29that's great. All right,
30:30>> Christina, our producer, is a big fan of
30:31NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
30:33>> Yes.
30:33>> All right.
30:34>> Accurate. Steel City.
30:35>> And she's a Kentucky grad, so she go
30:37Wildcats.
30:38>> That's right.
30:38>> Wildcats playing some good ball these
Mailbag Questions
30:40days.
30:40>> Let's dive into our mailbag here. Shout
30:42out to our friend Eric Moody. Follow him
30:44on social media. Eric Nmoody. Dude is
30:46always hanging out, helping everybody
30:48get their lineups figured out. We have a
30:50question here from Michael Smith.
30:52>> Numbers never lie. Christian Watson,
30:54Devonte Adams, or Luther Burden? I'd
30:57have a hard time not playing Devonte
30:59Adams. Agreed. About you two.
31:00>> I think so.
31:00>> Yeah, it goes Adams then Watson then
31:02Burton Burden. Y but really really good
31:04options. If those are either your wide
31:05receiver two or flex options, that's a
31:07very very good team. Uh Dvonte obviously
31:09has been cooking throughout much of this
31:11year. And this is a great matchup on
31:14Monday night
31:14>> at home against all time good matchup.
31:16Yeah,
31:16>> I don't know about all time good match
31:18up, but this is a really good match up
31:19for Dvonte. I'm really hoping that that
31:21person has both of those other two
31:22people on the bench cuz it just feels
31:24great when you have like two legitimate
31:25options on your bench behind your
31:27>> option. Unless your guy busts and that
31:29those two go off. You're staring at 40
31:31points on your bench.
31:32>> That's fair. Okay. All right, Michael.
31:33Well,
31:34>> no, but good problem to have for sure.
31:35>> Negative Michael over here. Ja Jackson
31:37wants to know, "Need help, guys."
31:39>> That was an exclamation points.
31:40>> Yeah, that was
31:41>> Who should I play in my flex? J Mo,
31:43Romeo Dobs, or Malik Washington? I would
31:46roll JO.
31:46>> We got JO as well.
31:47>> J Mo and Dos. Back to back here.
31:49Interesting one. JMO gets Arizona. Dobs
31:51gets Vegas. So that's probably enough to
31:53break that tie. I do JMO higher. So I'm
31:54going to go JO against Arizona.
31:56>> I think JMO is a big game on Sunday.
31:57>> Yeah. Remember Dobs was busy last week.
31:59Had two touchdowns. No M Collins. May
32:02playing better at home. Raiders should
32:05be exploitable. I know they've been good
32:07so far, but I mean there's plenty to
32:09like there in terms of him being a
32:10starting or a wide receiver three or a
32:12flex option this week, but I agree with
32:14the matchup. Got to go Williams.
32:15>> Mike's really Oh, okay. Never mind. I
32:17was going to say Mike's really endearing
32:18himself to our Michigan men chat saying
32:20all these nice things about why Romeo
32:21Dobs is a great play this week over.
32:23>> I still picked I felt like you guys were
32:26just like
32:27>> you were you were kind of shocked do
32:30optimism but after last week
32:32>> one more question here from our chat.
32:34Daniel wants to know is this a fair
32:36trade. Tyler Shuck and Ashton Genty for
32:40Oh, sorry Monty.
32:42>> Tyler Shuck, Ashton Genty and Monty for
32:44Brock Perie and Bjon.
32:46>> Perie and Bejian side for sure if you
32:49ask me. I think you're getting the
32:50better quarterback. Oh, definitely with
32:52Pertie over Shuck. I mean, they both
32:54been good, but I'd picky. You're getting
32:55the better running back going from Genty
32:57to Bjon. Monty I could have question for
33:00you guys cuz I know about if Monty that
33:03third position doesn't have enough value
33:06to overcome what you're losing at the
33:08other two spots.
33:08>> Yeah, he's replaceable. It's not like if
33:11it was more of a trying to think of a
33:13really good comp for this uh like love
33:16or one of those guys and sort of running
33:19back running back's so gross. I'm like I
33:21don't even know what I'm Yeah.
33:22>> Yeah. Like Yeah. Exactly. Chase Brown
33:24then it's more then it's probably leans
33:26back the other direction but it's just
33:27not Montgomery you can replace like
33:29probably with a receiver even in your
33:31flex.
33:31>> I think this is important to note when
33:32you see a trade proposal like this which
33:34we you agree with Mike and I.
33:36>> Yes I do.
33:37>> Okay. So we all would say that this is
33:40an imbalanced trade that people the
33:42person who's getting Bejian and Brock
33:43Party win pretty decidedly is that there
33:46there's of course a world in which that
33:48trade from a result standpoint flips the
33:51other way. Bjan could get banged up.
33:54Ashton Genty could really take off and
33:57th those we acknowledge those outcomes
33:59or that outcome is possible. But I would
34:02say from a process standpoint like just
34:04make this you know this you have a $100
34:06bill in your hand that is Bejian
34:09Robinson and Brock Pury you are getting
34:11back $70 in this trade somewhere in that
34:15range
34:15>> probably. So, but even if but if the
34:18person who has the $100 bill walks down
34:20the street loses the $100 bill, the
34:22person who has 70 bucks is richer. This
34:24is kind of a weird way of describing it,
34:26but the point is that that trade could
34:28work out in the favor of the Ashen Genty
34:30side, but you could extract more right
34:32now. So, I wouldn't be making that deal
34:34under those terms.
34:35>> Are you me? Like, what's happening here?
34:37Like
34:38>> use some uh stats or some advanced stats
34:40earlier and now you're like process over
34:42results and like well said.
34:45>> Wow. Um,
34:45>> well, well done. Yeah, that's exactly
34:47right. That's But you always you're
34:48always criticizing. Well, not
34:49criticizing, but giving me a hard time
34:51because I'm so
34:52>> As long as as long as you're, you know,
34:54blinders like process is fine. Like,
34:56don't think about all the other stuff
34:57that could happen. It's like, is this
34:58the right move or not? Like, that's more
35:01what you're saying though would be more
35:02of an emotional response of like, oh,
35:04your guy gets hurt. I shouldn't have
35:05done that trade. Like, no, the process
35:06was correct. You should have the fear.
35:08We're like in the opposite shoes here.
35:09>> One thing I'll say is I don't feel like
35:10I criticize nor give you a hard time. I
35:12always say I'm like I'm just amazed at
35:14how
35:15>> incredibly compartmentalized your brain
35:17is.
35:17>> But that's a take I would have is my
35:19point. So yeah, I agree. I mean that's
35:20you're 100% right.
35:22>> Thank you.
35:23>> This is why we're worried about the
35:24guard rails surrounding Clay Eye because
35:26it's clearly spreading and we have no
35:27way to be able to keep it.
35:28>> I know it's in control right now. All
35:30right, let's dive into the next one,
Broncos at Chargers
35:32guys. Broncos and Chargers here.
35:35Lineup blocks for this game. An entire
35:38slate of nothing.
35:38>> Yeah. Hold on before are we live?
35:40because we tell producers we forgot to
35:42update the graphic
35:44nothing on this one
35:46>> which is you know what's funny about
35:47this I texted you guys on what Monday I
35:49think about this and I was like guys
35:50>> Broncos Chargers next week I don't think
35:53there's a single lineup block and that's
35:55>> if I told you that before week one you'd
35:56be like you're fired like there's no way
35:59there's no there's no way there's got to
36:00be at least a couple of these guys w
36:03think about it waddle Sutton the running
36:05backs in one of the running backs in
36:06Denver maybe JK Dobbins is on that list
36:09Bo Nicks Justin Herbert, Omaran Hampton,
36:11Lad McConi. Uh, that's probably it. But
36:14it may be one of the tight ends for the
36:16Charger. I mean, there's so many
36:17possibilities. For there to be zero at
36:19this point is is shocking.
36:21>> It's unbelievable. So, kind of went
36:23through it, but Justin Herbert, we're
36:24not going to start him.
36:25>> Omarian Hampton has become a committee
36:28running back in kind of a dead zone now
36:30with the way that they've been talking
36:31and utilizing Katon Mitchell in the
36:32backfield and Kamani Vidal. To be
36:34honest, doesn't feel great. I still
36:35think he's the one with the most talent,
36:36but I don't think he's a lineup block
36:38either. at the wide receiver spot. Lad
36:40Man McCunki back-to-back DMPS. There's a
36:42serious chance he doesn't even play. You
36:43might not even have to make the
36:44decision, which might make it easier for
36:46your life because you don't have to
36:47worry about that. There is nobody from
36:50this Chargers squad right now that I
36:52feel comfortable starting. If there was
36:54someone that either of you were going to
36:55throw a dart at, I would probably throw
36:57it at Trey Harris if I had to in like
36:58the deepest of deep leagues. Is there
37:00anyone that you would want to throw a
37:02dart at?
37:03>> This is the classic Quinton Johnson
37:04spot, isn't it?
37:05>> Of course.
37:06>> Could be. Although it seems like it
37:07should be, so it won't be. But then next
37:09week when Lad comes back, he'll go for
37:11like six for 120 and two touchdowns.
37:13>> It be interesting to see uh the Broncos
37:15are going to almost assuredly be without
37:17both Pat Certan the second and Riley
37:19Moss, their top two corners.
37:21>> Can the Chargers or the Seahawks next
37:23week, assuming those guys are both out
37:25next week as well, move the football at
37:27all through the air? The Broncos
37:28obviously very talented secondary. Uh
37:30we'll see here. Um, you know, one of the
37:33things about call it Tuesday through
37:35Friday of the week is that I sort of get
37:38to like level set with my emotions
37:40Sunday and Monday, you know, you're
37:42agonizing over decisions you wish you
37:45had done differently and whether you're
37:48going to win or lose these high stakes
37:49matchups and then you kind of wake up on
37:51Tuesday and you're like, there's nothing
37:53I can do. It's behind me. Yep. Let's get
37:55excited about the upcoming week ahead.
37:57And Sunday, the Chargers especially, can
37:58be very frustrating. When Mike McDaniel
38:01addresses the media on Thursday, which
38:03is his weekly time to address local
38:05reporters in Los Angeles, and this is
38:08nothing personal towards Mike, it's just
38:09when they ask him questions, and Mike
38:11has a very unique sort of roundabout way
38:13of discussing topics, and the running
38:15backs come up every week, and it's just
38:17like triggering every single Thursday
38:19where it's like, here we go again,
38:20thinking about how these running backs
38:22are being completely oddly utilized. And
38:24uh yeah, why did I draft any Chargers
38:26this year?
38:27>> What was the point of this? If Lad
38:29Makanki does for some reason play, I'm
38:31still not going to start him. I think I
38:33have better options right now. Even I'm
38:35not dropping him. I wouldn't cut Lad
38:37Mankey. I still think he's talented
38:38enough to be on my bench.
38:39>> Yeah, I agree. I think a healthy Lad
38:41Manki will be a serviceable fantasy
38:43starter even if it's less than what we
38:45expected. Maybe a flex. Yep.
38:48>> Uh but he just hasn't been healthy. I
38:50think that's the main issue with him
38:51right now. So c just add another
38:54disappointment to this uh this offense.
38:56And again, not necessarily his fault. He
38:58just can't stay healthy. It's
38:59unfortunate. Yeah,
38:59>> I'm sure uh there's probably other
39:01Broncos fans or maybe the Broncos
39:03coaching staff would feel differently
39:04about this.
39:06>> The Broncos have too many useful players
39:08on offense.
39:09>> Yeah, that's been a staple of uh
39:12>> is just like too many of them that you
39:14know like I was thinking about this
39:16yesterday because you know they made the
39:17change to Shawn Payeyton as their new
39:19play caller. Why? And it's like well
39:20they haven't gotten enough out of
39:22>> oh every player on the
39:24>> in the back field. like RJ Harvey, he
39:26does his thing which is sort of like the
39:28change of pace runner and the pass
39:29catcher. Tyler Bedet who's like the pass
39:31protector when they go into speed it up
39:33or two-minute mode. JK Dobbins on early
39:36obvious running situations trying to
39:38pound between the tackles. Pat Bryant
39:40who's hurt but still Pat Bryant, he has
39:42his role. Lil Jordan Humphrey is going
39:44to come in and play 15% of the snaps for
39:46some reason.
39:46>> Marvin Nims and Troy Franklin both.
39:48>> Yeah. Right. They're going to get their
39:49like random four targets y combined in a
39:51game and then it's like, oh, Courtland
39:53Sutton who now makes $23 million a year
39:55and Jaylen Waten who makes $27 million a
39:57year are just being misutilized by this
40:00team.
40:00>> Crazy. Crazy.
40:02>> They could be an awesome team. They they
40:04hosted the AFC Championship game last
40:05year. I'm just I think for our purposes,
40:08they have too many useful players.
40:09>> Yeah, I think if you want some help
40:10here, maybe maybe Shawn Payeyton taking
40:12over the play calling will move the
40:14needle a little bit. Maybe like so
40:15Krillin Sutton waved on a lot of fantasy
40:18leagues.
40:18>> Throw him on the end of a couple
40:19benches. Just we'll see. Maybe Shawn
40:21Payeyton's first first job here is I'm
40:23going to get seven targets this week.
40:25>> The ball.
40:26>> Yeah, might be. So, uh, by the way, on
40:28RJ Harvey, obviously coming off a game
40:30last week with 10 targets
40:32>> and running back being in a tough spot,
40:34you might be wondering if you should
40:35utilize him in fantasy. I'm not going to
40:37go that far. His receiving workload has
40:39been pretty good. He's actually missed a
40:40game so far. He missed week two and he's
40:42still six or better in targets, catches,
40:44and receiving yards among running backs
40:45this season. So, he's been busy in that
40:47department. The problem, guys, is
40:49usually when you're involved that much
40:50of his as a pass catcher, you'll get
40:52decent production as a rusher. That's
40:54not the case for R.J. Harvey. He's just
40:56not a factor. He's 12 carries for 49
40:57yards across his three games so far this
41:00season. To your point, they use uh three
41:02running backs every single game. Uh it's
41:04I'd consider this a neutral matchup. I
41:06mean, uh, the Chargers did give up 27
41:09points to Emanuel Wilson last week, but
41:11otherwise, they've been fine. So, not
41:12getting carried away on this one. I
41:13think Harvey just doesn't have enough of
41:15a ceiling to make him an appealing
41:16start. Dothmine eyes deceive me, Field.
41:20>> No, they don't.
41:21>> Let's throw up. Who are Pixar for this
41:24game? I'm taking the Broncos. Mike
41:26Clay's taking the Broncos.
41:27>> Come on. Now,
41:29>> Field Yates and the producers are going
41:30with the Chargers.
41:32>> Take this this this whatever this is.
41:34This needle. It's actually just a pen.
41:36>> Yeah, it's a ballpoint pen.
41:37>> But it's it's a ballpoint pen.
41:39>> Yeah.
41:39>> That is made up of the will and the guts
41:42and the fortitude of the Los Angeles
41:44Chargers.
41:45>> INJECT IT RIGHT INTO MY VEINS, BABY. THE
41:47CHARGERS GET THE FIRST WIN OF THE
41:49SEASON.
41:49>> WOW.
41:50>> The uh field has not been deterred by
41:52the Chargers slow start. This was this
41:54was your Chargers energy before the
41:56season.
41:56>> That's right. Yes.
41:57>> And then you went down. You went like
41:58this and now you're coming back. He's on
42:00the way back up.
42:00>> This is on the way back. This is the
42:02panicked the the panic love is you're
42:04like it has to work out right. It has to
42:06work out. This is the week. They can't
42:08go 0 and five, right?
42:09>> You gotta like you gotta make some
42:10>> you got to make
42:11>> you got to zig. You got to zig when you
42:13guys were zagging.
42:14>> What's odd what's odd about this game
42:15though too is you're like the Chargers
42:16can't go 0 and five, right? They're
42:18going to they have to get a win at some
42:19point. But also like the Broncos have to
42:20get going too. It's like they're both in
42:22the same boat. Even though they're two
42:23and two, the Broncos have been
42:25uninspiring so far. a press conference
42:27where they someone asked if it was a
42:29rebuilding season was
42:31>> made me chuckle.
42:32>> Jim Harbaugh.
42:33>> Yeah,
42:33>> I don't think he knows what the word
42:34rebuilding me.
42:35>> Well, and he didn't chuckle. I chuckled.
42:37He did not think it was funny at all.
42:39Um, but I thought it was it was a funny
42:41moment.
42:41>> All right,
42:41>> 49ers and Seahawks, guys.
49ers at Seahawks
42:45>> This is one feels a little bit better
42:46here.
42:47>> Lineup blocks in this one. JSN, you
42:48always feel great about that. Christian
42:50McAffrey continues to roll. Mike Evans
42:52and George KD. Wait,
42:55>> where's Brock Pury? Where's Brock Py?
42:57>> Where is Brock Pury? Interesting. Who
42:58are they playing this week, guys?
43:00>> Brock Pury, the Seattle Seahawks.
43:02>> Yeah.
43:02>> All right. So, this is my topic. So, I
43:05want to throw some trivia to you guys.
43:07>> Oh, interesting. I'm really bad at
43:08trivia, but I love it.
43:09>> You are. I watch Jeopardy every day and
43:11get one right.
43:11>> Since the start of Well, at least you
43:13are consistent.
43:14>> Uhhuh. You're right.
43:15>> Since the start of last season, they're
43:16like, "This is" And he's like, "Juppy?"
43:18And that's the one that he gets right.
43:19>> That's all I get. I'll give you guys a
43:21hint.
43:21>> That's wrong cuz it's What is Jeopardy?
43:22Since the start of last season, Brock
43:24Party has just two games under 150
43:27passing yards.
43:28>> Okay. Playoffs included. One of them was
43:31against the Seahawks.
43:33>> Mhm.
43:33>> Can you guess the other opponent for the
43:35under 150 passing?
43:36>> I'm going to say the Seahawks.
43:37>> No, it was the Miami Dolphins this year.
43:39>> No, the Seahawks as well. Good call by
43:40Mike.
43:41>> What?
43:41>> Yep. So,
43:42>> got a trivia right.
43:44>> Twice under 150 passing yards. Uh he
43:47also since the start of last season has
43:49just two games with zero touchdown
43:52passes. Not one.
43:53>> Okay.
43:54>> Once again, one of them was against
43:55Seattle. The other was against and
43:57here's the curveball.
43:57>> Miami Dolphins.
43:59>> Nope.
44:00>> Uh the um Cardinals,
44:03>> the Seahawks again.
44:04>> Ah, you said it was a curveball. You
44:06lied. Trying to get you off you out with
44:08the curveball.
44:09>> The curveball was the curveball.
44:10>> Yeah, exactly. So, so just noting that
44:11like Brock Pury is incredibly unlikely
44:14to throw a fantasy dud
44:16>> many times during the course of a
44:18fantasy season.
44:19>> Yep.
44:19>> But if ever there was a game in which
44:21you say to yourself, could it be
44:22happening? This might be it.
44:24>> Yep.
44:25>> I don't have the stones to bench Brock
44:27Puri. Me either. I just don't. And
44:29>> even Jacobe Brassette, who I think is in
44:31an awesome spot, I'd have a hard time
44:34>> pushing the button. Jacobe Brassette,
44:36starter Brock Pury, bench. So what am I
44:39tell from an action standpoint? I'm not
44:41telling you to do a thing. I just want
44:43us to all hold steady in our confidence
44:46in Brock Party and hope that he can
44:47deliver on Sunday. But if he gets you
44:509.7 fantasy points, we all collectively
44:53agree in advance that we have been
44:56mentally prepared for this. So we're not
44:58going to be frustrated.
44:58>> If he gets you 9.7 fantasy points, he
45:01will be right in line with the other
45:03three quarterbacks that have scored
45:04under 10 fantasy points against this
45:06team. with only one quarterback has that
45:07scored more than 10 fantasy points. So
45:09>> maybe this is the emotional versus clay
45:11eye debate we have all the time. But I
45:13I'm I mean I don't think I would be
45:16>> I would not be upset at all about
45:18starting Goff or Brassette over Brock
45:20Hardy. I would do that in a heartbeat.
45:21Like I just the matches substantially
45:23better
45:24>> and I'm nervous about this one. So I
45:25don't even know what a heartbeat is.
45:26>> I mean I'm at nine I'm at nine on him so
45:29I'm not you know I'm not crushing him in
45:31the rankings but like I I would
45:33definitely stream over him if I had a
45:34good option. I don't mind screaming over
45:36him, but I also don't mind starting him.
45:37>> Should we just do a three-way board bet
45:39for kicks here? Yes.
45:40>> Which is you get Jared Goff,
45:42>> you get Brock Toby Brousette and I get
45:44Brock.
45:45>> I'll do it for fun. I do have Goff ahead
45:46of Brassette, but I think it's a tossup,
45:48so let's do it.
45:49>> Okay. Well, is it whoever loses or do
45:52you get is it like two wins or is it
45:53more important like points above
45:55projection?
45:56>> I can just make it simple.
45:57>> The projections are perfect. So,
45:59>> uh All right, here we go. I say Brock
46:02Pery, and this is a really weird thing
46:03to say given that I just made the
46:05anti-rock case. For the purposes of
46:07entertainment, I say Brock Party
46:09outscores both Jared Goff and Jacobe
46:11Brassette in week five. I say Jacobe
46:13Brassette will outscore Brock Perie in
46:15your guy on your jersey right there,
46:17Jared Goff, here in week five. And I say
46:19my guy Jared Goff will outscore Jacobe
46:22Brassette and Brock Party here in week
46:24five.
46:25>> Put it on the board.
46:28>> Nice job, guys.
46:29>> There's no I mean, whatever.
46:31I don't have to spin the wheel if I
46:32lose, do I?
46:33>> I think we're all I think they all
46:34finish as top 10 quarterbacks this week.
46:36Oh, wow. I think we all win to be
46:37honest. I hope that happens.
46:39>> Maybe. I don't think Py Well, I think
46:40Pertie will be close.
46:41>> Well, you've got him at nine, Michael.
46:42>> I know, but we already took out Dak and
46:44and I had Jaylen Daniels really high.
46:49>> Uh, we might have to rank him higher.
46:51>> Let's talk. Oh, who are you taking in
46:53this one? See how hold
46:55>> Oh, sorry. I didn't realize. I forgot.
46:57We had so much fun having host of the
46:59pod. Uh yeah, we we talk about Emanuel
47:01Wilson because this is this is one of
47:03the the risers in fantasy uh over the
47:05last couple of weeks.
47:06>> 21 carries last week, 81 yards and a
47:09touchdown. Also had three for 39 a
47:11touchdown on four targets. He was
47:13productive. 25 opportunities, especially
47:15with the state of the RB2 situation
47:17right now. Puts this guy squarely on the
47:19fantasy radar. Uh Prices or Wilson, this
47:23hasn't been just a oneweek thing. He's
47:24handled over half of their carries in
47:26three straight games. Remember he had 92
47:28yards and 21 carries back in week two as
47:30well. Um at some point he's going to
47:32lose his job presumably with Charbanet
47:34back and and eventually Jadarian Price
47:36but for now he is their lead back and
47:38the Niners allowed the eighth most
47:39fantasy points to running back so far
47:41this season. A running back has at least
47:4219 points and two straight against them.
47:44Jeremiah Love and RJ Harvey. So Emanuel
47:47Wilson very much in the mid RB2
47:49territory this week against the 49ers.
47:51>> Like that. Who you taking in this one,
47:53Michael?
47:53>> Uh Seahawks. They're at home. They get
47:55this done. I'm taking the Seahawks as
47:57well because they're at home and I think
47:57they get this done.
47:58>> I'm taking the Niners.
48:00>> Whoa.
48:00>> I don't know why
48:01>> they'd go five. They'd be five and0.
48:02Seahawks would drop to three and two in
48:04that case. That was
48:05>> and the Rams at best would be three.
48:06>> Producers go with the 49ers as well. All
48:08right.
48:09>> Producers.
48:10>> Next one. Lions and Cardinals.
Lions at Cardinals
48:11>> We can rip through these last.
48:13>> This has got to be a huge lineup lock
48:14game.
48:15>> Jared Goff, Jamir Gibbs, Aman Ross, St.
48:17Brown, Sam Leaporta. All on the Lion
48:19side. On the other side, Jacobe
48:20Brassette, Jeremiah Love, Michael
48:22Wilson, and Trey McBride. I would even
48:24put JO in the lineup, the flex lock
48:27conversation for me. Maybe not a lineup
48:29lock, but a flex lock. Darn
48:30>> close. Had one good game. So, I mean,
48:31it's hard to really say you're cementing
48:33this guy in right now, but in this
48:34matchup, and you'd be hardressed to
48:35bench him.
48:36>> Be tough. Yeah, I think I just want to
48:38say this. Sam Leaporta has looked
48:39awesome to start this season.
48:41Unbelievable. And now just going up
48:42against the fun of like his his
48:45offensive coordinator going up against
48:46his former team. Is there any way that
48:48we just see Sam Leaporta go off and have
48:49a great time in this one? I don't have a
48:51lot to talk about because you're just
48:52starting everyone as far as I'm
48:54concerned. Even I think both of the
48:56quarterbacks.
48:57>> Yeah, it's funny. We just talked about
48:58these guys so this is seamless. But uh
49:00and we've been talking about them all
49:01week. Yes.
49:02>> You never want to start Jared Goff
49:03>> if you're wondering. I know I don't. But
49:05this week I do because they're playing
49:06Arizona. And by the way, he's playing
49:07well. 19 plus fantasy points in three
49:09straight games. And Arizona's allowed
49:11the most passing touchdowns with 11 so
49:13far this season. And Goff, we know he
49:15has to he's not going to do anything
49:16with his legs. And it's going to have to
49:18be elite passing production. and we're
49:20getting that so far. He also has zero
49:21interceptions, so you're not even losing
49:22points for that so far this year. So,
49:24he's a great play. Jacobe Petta have two
49:26spots after him. Um, but this guy now
49:28has 31 total touchdowns in 16 games
49:31since taking over for Kyler Murray last
49:33season. And similar to Arizona, Detroit
49:36has allowed the most yards, touchdowns,
49:37and fantasy points to quarterbacks. So,
49:40both of these are excellent plays here
49:41in week five.
49:42>> Yep. Love them both. I'm going to go
49:43with the Lions in this one.
49:44>> Same
49:45>> Lions. All right, we got one more game
49:47we're going to talk We got two more
49:48games we're going to talk about.
49:49>> Just want to make sure. Across the
49:50board.
49:51>> Across the board. Yeah. Yes. Across the
49:52board. Ravens and Falcons here, my
49:54friends.
Ravens at Falcons
49:55>> This one we don't have much to talk
49:56about.
49:56>> No, there really isn't. Derek Henry
49:58Flowers on one side. On the other side,
50:01Bejan Robinson and Drake London. Seems
50:03like no. Lamar Jackson.
50:04>> We'll see. Yes. Lamar, I would say let's
50:06not totally rule Lamar Jackson out for
50:09Sunday night, but he has not yet
50:10practiced. Obviously, if he is out,
50:12that's as big of a fantasy injury as we
50:14have this week. Lamar, one of the great
50:16players in this league.
50:18>> If Lamar Jackson, he's one of the guys
50:20that even if he doesn't play all week
50:21and then they are like, "All right,
50:22yeah, he's going to roll this week." I
50:23would put him out there and start him
50:25almost over anybody.
50:26>> Well, also, if there's ambiguity and
50:28Sunday night football, which is when
50:30this game is being played, is still
50:31hours away and you have to make a choice
50:33on like a Jacobe Brassette or a Jared
50:35Goff, that's a totally reasonable enough
50:37stream option in favor of Lamar Jackson.
50:39But definitely have Tyler Huntley
50:40available as a pivot.
50:41>> Yeah, absolutely. And just keep in mind
50:43if you're in a tough spot, maybe Mahomes
50:45is on a buy in a deep league and you're
50:46thinking, "All right, I'm just going to
50:47fire up Tyler Huntley because he he'll
50:49run the ball." What you don't want to
50:51have happen is you get to whatever 6:50
50:54p.m. Eastern and Lamar's active and
50:56you're like, I don't have a quarterback
50:57now. So, make sure you have another
50:58option or just don't use Huntley because
51:00there's definitely a chance that Jackson
51:03will play in this one. So, I went back
51:04and looked at some of the numbers with
51:06Tyler Huntley, Under Z Flowers, and in
51:10some ways they mean something to me. In
51:11other ways, they don't because we've
51:12seen this new version of Zay Flowers
51:14this year. We would all agree this is
51:15the best version we have ever seen.
51:16Absolutely. Of Z. But averaging about
51:18four plus, actually averaging over four
51:20catches, just about 60 yards, and he has
51:23four touchdowns in nine games with Tyler
51:25Huntley. Bottom line, period, is this.
51:28Whether Zay Flowers has Tyler Huntley or
51:31Lamar Jackson under center, he's played
51:33well enough that the discount doesn't
51:35move him from top, I don't know, eight
51:38wide receiver to wide receiver 32.
51:40You're still playing Z.
51:41>> He doesn't. It doesn't move him from
51:43your starting lineup to your bench.
51:44>> He's staying in my starting lineup no
51:45matter what. I think he's graduated that
51:47territory of being good enough. This is
51:49not like what Drake London dealt with
51:50when he went to a completely inoperable
51:52offense. This offense will be fine. We
51:54just certainly prefer Lamar Jackson out
51:56there under center.
51:57>> Yep. kind of like you had just said with
51:59uh Brock Purie, maybe just lowering
52:00expectations a little bit.
52:01>> Yep.
52:02>> All right. Who you going to take in this
52:03one, guys?
52:04>> Who would have thought this three weeks
52:05ago?
52:06>> Yeah. Falcons.
52:07>> Falcons. Wow. A clean sweep.
52:09>> I reserve the right to change to
52:11Baltimore if Lamar plays.
52:13>> No.
52:13>> No.
52:14>> You have to choose now.
52:15>> No. All right. Well, then I picked the
52:16Falcons.
52:17>> Okay. All right. Sounds good.
52:18>> Game in Atlanta.
52:19>> Bills and the Rams, guys.
Bills at Rams
52:22>> Here we go. Last one.
52:23>> This is going to be a great Monday night
52:24football game. Great Monday Night
52:25Football game. On the Bills side, Josh
52:27Allen, James Cook, DJ Moore. On the Rams
52:30side, Kairen Williams, Huganakua, and
52:32Devonte Adams.
52:34>> Quick update on DJ Moore did not
52:35practice on Wednesday. We will see what,
52:38excuse me, on Thursday. That was their
52:39first practice of the week with it being
52:40a Monday Night Football game. We'll see
52:42what his practice is like today. If he
52:43goes back to back DMPS, I'll feel a
52:45little bit more worried, but just
52:46something you want to monitor with DJ
52:47Moore. Obviously though, if he is
52:48healthy, you'll have him in your
52:50starting lineup. I thought Joe Brady
52:51said something yesterday that made it
52:53seem like he was unlikely to play. I'll
52:54be honest with you. If I was reading
52:55between the lines, it was like DJ's
52:57gonna do everything he can to give
52:58himself a chance to play.
53:00>> That stopped short of
53:02>> we expect to have him out.
53:03>> Yeah. Well, hopefully we'll get some
53:04news on that. I be it'd be nice
53:06considering it's Monday Night Football
53:07if he's ruled out today or tomorrow.
53:08Well, they have till tomorrow uh to do
53:10that. But then Keon Coleman becomes
53:12interested.
53:12>> I was going to say as a flex option,
53:15he's been he's been good. He's had two
53:16bad games, two good games. The two good
53:18games are when DJ Moore has left the
53:20game hurt. So definitely have him on a
53:22couple benches kind of waiting to see
53:23what happens with Moore.
53:24>> Yep.
53:25>> If he does roll, we'll start DJ Moore.
53:27How you feeling though about Dalton
53:29Concaden this?
53:30>> I don't feel great. He's got trending
53:32the wrong direction. Had five for 130 in
53:34week one, then seven for 95 and a
53:36touchdown against your Lions in week
53:38two. So you're feeling great, but weeks
53:40three and four just three catches for 45
53:42yards total, not average on five
53:44targets. Snap share and route
53:46participation have progressively gone
53:47down like perfectly down. It hasn't been
53:50like this. It's been straight down all
53:53four games. Uh so that's not great
53:55obviously. And by the way, they're
53:56playing the Rams who have allowed the
53:58fewest yards with just 85 and the second
54:00fewest fantasy points to tight ends this
54:02season. No tight end has reached nine
54:03fantasy points.
54:04>> 85 yards per game.
54:06>> Nope.
54:06>> 85 total yards have 85 total yards
54:09against the Rams in four games so far
54:11this season. Uh so it's it's concerning
54:13for me. I don't feel great starting him.
54:15I won't be starting him where I can
54:17avoid it this week. I The only question
54:19I have is if you added Doulson Concade
54:21off of waiverss in weeks one or two.
54:23There are certainly people that have
54:24Brock Bowers. And Brock Bowers, if you
54:26have him, it's like it's not even a
54:27conversation for milliseconds.
54:29>> Um, but there might be a few tight ends
54:31that we drafted as like, hey, these
54:33guys, they're not sexy, but like
54:34potentially usable tight end.
54:36>> I have a good example. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I
54:38was going to say like Warren and
54:39Loveland. Like those are I think that
54:41becomes a conversation here. That's what
54:42I'm dealing with. Warren versus Concade
54:44in a couple less.
54:44>> I lean towards Warren and both Warren
54:46and Lovelin there is where I would go
54:48personally. I'm trying to think of guys
54:49that thread that need a little bit
54:50better.
54:51>> You know what's tough? Okay, so let's
54:53walk through that just the draft list
54:55really quickly. Warren and Lovel
54:56>> and then you had
54:57>> Leaporta
54:58>> Sam Laorta Kyle Pitts who's not even on
55:01rosters anymore.
55:02>> Concaid KD.
55:04>> You if you had Kyle Pits, you would play
55:05Daltton.
55:05>> Oh yes. Yep.
55:07>> Yeah,
55:07>> Kyle Pitts is droppable.
55:08>> Yeah. By the way, if more is out that's
55:10going to move concade up a little bit
55:11more. You would imagine they'll try to
55:13feature him a little bit. Gets him more
55:14into the makes him a little more
55:16palatable.
55:16>> Yeah, fingers crossed.
55:17>> But uh man, it's just this is one of the
55:19biggest head scratchers in fantasy right
55:21now because this guy could be the way he
55:22was playing weeks one and two. He could
55:24lead the position in fantasy points, but
55:25it's just going the wrong direction
55:27again with inexplicably
55:28>> a Tuesday headline on Friday is like
55:30Dalton Concade much to our surprise
55:32balls out for Buffalo in on Monday Night
55:35Football. And I think at that point we
55:36say, "All right, Dalton Concincaid is
55:38what Jameson Williams is, what Mike
55:40Williams was back in the day, what any
55:42of these kind of fur infuriating players
55:45are. You're either in and you're out and
55:46you just deal with it."
55:47>> He might be the player we chase the most
55:49in fantasy football this year where it's
55:50like, "Nope, I'm out. I'm out. I'm out."
55:52And then he does well and then it's like
55:53I'm back in and then I play him and then
55:54he does sucks again and then I bench him
55:56and then he plays well again in two
55:58weeks and
55:58>> yeah, it's like how what we do with Kyle
56:00Pitts over not this year. Not in the
56:01past.
56:02>> This year we're just out.
56:02>> It's like tight ends, man. tight ends.
56:04>> Who are you guys taking in this one? I'm
56:06going to go with the Rams.
56:06>> Yeah, Rams.
56:07>> Wait, Mike, I have the Bills. I have the
56:09Bills. You and the Deuces on the uh
56:11>> on the Bills. I I I will not have all my
56:14fantasy matchups concluded by Monday
56:16night. But I hope that they are
56:17concluded enough where it's like I'm up
56:19by 50 and my opponent only has one
56:22player left or whatever. I'm down by
56:25actually I don't want to be down by
56:26anything. Um I want this game to be one
56:28that I can enjoy just through a real
56:29life football lens. And by the way, I'll
56:31be doing the Monday Night Football
56:32Playbook on Monday. All right.
56:34>> So, if you guys want to watch over on
56:35NFL Network, me, Lewis Riddick, and
56:37Chase Daniel will be calling the game,
56:38which would be fun.
56:39>> That'll be fun.
56:41>> Only dance. Chase Daniel.
56:42>> Yes.
56:43>> It was one of his favorite things he's
56:44ever done.
56:44>> He just became a man this week. He
56:45turned 40.
56:46>> He did. Good for him. Good for him.
56:48>> All right, let's dive into starts of the
56:49week, my friend.
56:52>> In case you guys were wondering, Mike's
Starts of the Week
56:53paying off his punishment by doing
56:54absolutely
56:56>> nothing.
56:58>> He had a horrible lineup, and the only
56:59thing that he gets is public shame for
57:01setting a bad lineup. And that's it.
57:03Hey, I'm uh I'm not complaining.
57:05Literally.
57:06>> I know you're not complaining.
57:07Obviously, you're not complaining.
57:08>> That was the again, that was the fantasy
57:09gods rewarding me for doing a good job
57:11setting a lineup. And you know, things
57:13didn't go my way. That's all.
57:14>> I've committed to every bit and the
57:16fantasy gods don't like it any more than
57:18they used to.
57:18>> They're saying
57:20is is sandpaper right now.
57:22>> Come on.
57:23>> You know what the you know what the
57:24football guys are saying in Field's
57:25words from earlier? Just good process,
57:26Mike. So,
57:28>> okay. Why don't you give your lineup
57:29first then? I'm going to let you go
57:30first.
57:31>> All right. My lineup's gonna get back on
57:32track. Although again, the matchups are
57:35outstanding again and it did not work
57:36for me last week. We're gonna see if we
57:38do a better job here. Uh Jacobe
57:39Brassette is my quarterback against
57:41Alliance.
57:41>> Your number one overall pick this week.
57:43>> Uh was he my first pick? I think he was.
57:45I think he was my first pick this week.
57:46Most fantasy points allowed to
57:47quarterbacks for Detroit. Uh I'm going
57:49to stick in that game with my tight end
57:50Sam Leapora on the other side. Arizona's
57:52allowed the third most fantasy points to
57:54tight ends. My running back is Aaron
57:56Jones. I'm just chasing that massive
57:58volume from the last couple of weeks.
57:59and the Saints have a lot the most
58:01fantasy points to running backs and then
58:02my wide receiver is playing on that
58:04Monday night game. So this this could
58:05come down to Monday night as I have
58:06Devonte Adams against the Bills who had
58:09the third most fantasy points to
58:10receiver. So two weeks in a row it's all
58:12about the matchups.
58:13>> All right here my quarterback is Jordan
58:16Love. You know the Bears over the past
58:17three weeks have really tightened the
58:19screws on defense. I think some of that
58:21is schedule related. They have not
58:22exactly played an onslaught of offensive
58:25talent. The Packers cannot run the ball
58:27whatsoever. for a big game at home
58:30against the Bears at Lambeau Field. He
58:31is my quarterback. My running back,
58:33Bucky Irving, got me 31 a half last
58:35night. So, that's a good start there
58:36obviously for Bucky.
58:38>> And my wide receiver, George Pickkins.
58:40So, I've already got 59 and a half.
58:42>> That's amazing. Good for you. Oh, weird.
58:44That's not what it says here on the
58:45screen. That's tough.
58:46>> Is that a clerical error?
58:48>> It must be. Must be.
58:49>> Jordan Love is actually my quarterback.
58:51Quinn Chan Judkins is my running back. I
58:53think the Browns can control the game
58:54script against the Jets. Michael Wilson
58:56is my wide receiver. He plays Daniel's
58:58Lions.
58:58>> I wanted him.
58:59>> Yeah, he was almost my first pick.
59:00>> Yeah, Jawan Johnson is my tight end. The
59:02Vikings a good defense, but Jawan
59:04Johnson just continually getting the
59:06football in that New Orleans passing
59:08game.
59:08>> Yes, he is. My lineup here, I took Jared
59:11Goff. Our first three picks in this
59:12draft for this week were Jacobe
59:14Brassette, Michael Wilson, and Jared
59:15Goff. In case you're wondering how we
59:16feel about that game, I got Jared Goff
59:19at running back. I went with DeAndre
59:20Swift, which is helping. Yep. Helping
59:22with the Kyle Manungai situation right
59:24now. Malik Neighbors,
59:25>> future line.
59:26>> And a great in a great spot. And then
59:28Micasiki, I decided if there was a week
59:29for me to start someone potentially, we
59:31have a couple of wide receivers out.
59:34>> That's field minister Yates. My gosh.
59:36>> Now we'd have to make them a league
59:38neighbors trade happen.
59:39>> Yes. And then
59:39>> not going to happen. All come together.
59:41>> It's going to be fun. All right. Hey,
59:42come hang out with us on Sunday. Fantasy
59:44focus countdown. We're going to be in
