0:00today I'm joined by TJ power the UK's

0:02biggest neuroscientist with over 700,000

0:05Instagram followers he's the author of

0:06the book the dose effect and today he's

0:08going to be helping us understand about

0:10all the hormones that are imperative to

0:11making us feel

0:19good excuse the sweating we had to do

0:21the Jiu-Jitsu before the introduction

0:23but TJ power has a what would you call

0:25it the dose slogan acon acronym I could

0:28tell he well educated and that acronym

0:30dose which is dopamine oxy t o c i n

0:34serotonin what was one with the

0:37endorphins dophins now most people

0:40interchange these without really

0:41thinking about what they mean and in

0:43this video we're going to get to the

0:44bottom of exactly what they mean why

0:45they're important so next time you're

0:47with your friends having a conversation

0:48you can use the right one and someone

0:49can go yeah you know what that is

0:51endorphins not dopamine I'm just brought

0:54a neuroscientist to training what do you

0:56do you're a builder here today with TJ

0:58power we're going to go to jiujitsu

1:00first ever Jiu-Jitsu session what

1:02hormone are we trying to get from

1:05Jiu-Jitsu we're going to effectively try

1:06and get dopamine from getting into the

1:08Flow State getting into deep focus when

1:10we're out there then we're also going to

1:12get a bit of endorphins from the hard

1:13physical work have you ever considered

1:16doing Jiu-Jitsu before I have I've seen

1:18some of your content about it I've seen

1:19uh Russell BR talks about Jiu-Jitsu as

1:22well so I've been curious I know a lot

1:23of people say it's pretty good for your

1:24head good for your body as well so I'm

1:26curious to try even he started yeah I

1:29tackled him drunk in Vegas and he put me

1:30in one of the best Guillotines I've ever

1:32been just natural yeah [ __ ] man it

1:35was so annoying it was I I just didn't

1:37expect it I put my head in the wrong

1:39place I haven't lived it down since I've

1:41have a rematch in a couple of months oh

1:43yeah you're [ __ ] mate I'm going to be

1:44natural that's the plan yeah first time

1:47first time yeah first time it looks uh

1:50complicated which is actually so good

1:52for your brain like as soon as you're in

1:54a state where your brain has to hyper

1:56Focus you start building a ton of this

1:57dopamine chemical so this is I can why

2:00it's good for you for sure adrenaline

2:01and dopamine are like cousins in our

2:03brain that's why people get like hooked

2:04on skydiving for example CU they get

2:06dopamine here and adrenaline here and

2:08this is going to be a similar sort of

2:10concept whereby you're getting that F

2:11Spike of energy from adrenaline then

2:13you're also getting the Deep

2:14concentration from the if I try and put

2:16my weight on you so on your back if your

2:18sh's here I put my weight here if I say

2:20push me away now use your hands as well

2:24if I put hold on my body weight it's

2:26actually not too difficult now push me

2:27away now start to set up me away so

2:31you're fine because your legs are twis

2:33so my job was I'm passing is if I can

2:35get fast dra legs I come to this

2:38position now push me around now it's a

2:40lot more difficult CU I can't have your

2:41legs okay so we call this your so then

2:43if we swap position second and you try

2:46to go chest to chest on top of me and

2:47try on back if I can put my leg between

2:51I have a I can bring so try now to the

2:55chest on me and hold me down as I come

2:57up to fors I want you to put the other

2:58leg in on the leg this way that's good

3:02that's good something your

3:04B cool now go like

3:07this and now choke me into the

3:11T

3:13yeah so there yeah pass my G okay

3:17advance to a good

3:19position and it's all about submit

3:22that's and to initiate

3:24slap yeah that means we're going

3:39[Music]

3:44[Music]

3:57still now this kind of intense to quite

4:03difficult that Hur you about making

4:08you so

4:10now you can sit like St already you're

4:13exerting way too high so let's

4:17say your but for a

4:19sec I can very frantically try and

4:24or CH okay now your knees here pretty

4:29good for you cuz you can push me away

4:31yeah your knee's here yeah not so now

4:34bring my weight yeah I'm also I weigh

4:38the same asserting I weigh the same

4:41Cal oh yeah okay so my weight never

4:44changes they say a tired black belt is a

4:47white belt yeah so a tired white belt is

4:50a go on keep going

4:53F so it's up to me to try and make it

4:56more difficult by working angles using

4:59Lev Bridge so here for instance I have

5:01control of your right hip and your left

5:03shoulder oh yeah so because of this no

5:05matter how strong you are make it very

5:07difficult to advance cool you 3 one I'll

5:11come back to this now this isn't great

5:14for you but there's no immediate thrat

5:16okay so you're actually right so what

5:17you can do now is sit your butt and face

5:20me cool you're now back in your guard oh

5:24good this feels like a vulnerable

5:25position but it's actually good position

5:27best place you can be is on my back best

5:29place I can be is your back so if you go

5:31behind me here if I can get the

5:34opportunity and put my back to the map

5:36I'm now INF safe wa because you're now

5:39not on my back so now this is bad for me

5:42because although my back's on the map

5:44you're in a real advantageous position

5:46yeah so you can try bending my arms and

5:48try so now here's a here's the nice one

5:51put this

5:52hand put your elbows my

5:55ear grab my wrist cool but like clean

5:58your elbows that so now un Stu in this

6:00TR M yeah you're now left hand going to

6:02come under my clet here it go under and

6:05grab your WR now slowly because this is

6:08where you have to protect me as a

6:09training partner yeah you're going to

6:10lift my elbow up now you're going to

6:13paint a semicircle with my fingers

6:15towards your

6:16here this way and you get the top ah cuz

6:19that will [ __ ] out way from here when I

6:22get to this bit here this is where I go

6:24chill I kind of look at my partner and

6:26I'm like hey do you want me to do this

6:28and then very slow an in professional

6:30level you would break would you have the

6:32right to break it yeah cuz the second

6:34you get here you probably tap they would

6:35just not let them get someone gets that

6:38I'm like yep I'm like you can have

6:41it there's some electrolytes in there as

6:43well highest sweating sport in the

6:58world ni right it's like it's not like

7:00you're getting whacked you're not taking

7:02any damage you're getting like a nice

7:04your musle is pretty hard and so much

7:07like a human chess I do something I want

7:10a reaction the reason people get better

7:12is they get better at knowing what

7:14reactions to look for you're actually

7:16quite strong you're quite you're very

7:18ProActive at trying to keep me off like

7:20for I I'm actually relatively impressed

7:22with even just giving you that very

7:25basic guide retention drill yeah it's

7:26good be able to move the legs around

7:28that you shut down quite a lot in my to

7:29pass stay chill stay bre if you finish

7:32the round with energy no one's going to

7:33go over your [ __ ] [ __ ] but if you

7:35gas out with a minute to go they're

7:36going to go look at him pathetic stra

7:39for

7:44that it's got to trle that's not good

7:46that start how endorphins this chemical

7:50evolved in our brain is when we're under

7:52extreme physical danger has hunted

7:54gather as me to run or fight an animal

7:56this chemical pump through our brain and

7:58body in order to take the stress out of

8:00our thoughts so that we're in that

8:01situation like [ __ ] I'm going to die we

8:03just got locked in the harder you

8:05physically push yourself the more

8:06endorphins release so on those days

8:08where work or family is super stressful

8:10it's hard physical work that is

8:12scientifically the best way to d-stress

8:14your thoughts dopamine what is dopamine

8:17dopamine basically evolved in our brain

8:19to give us drive to do hard things

8:22anytime as we're evolving as humans we

8:24had to do a lot of hard [ __ ] making

8:26fires hunting building shelter and it's

8:28this chemical that made doing hard

8:30things feel good so Jiu-Jitsu that first

8:33thing we did on the white board dopamin

8:35would you say that was dopamin yeah

8:37Jiu-Jitsu is an interesting one cuz

8:39anytime you're in deep states of

8:40concentration for prolonged periods of

8:42time you're building a ton of dopy so

8:44that can be in work it could also be in

8:46something like Jiu-Jitsu like your brain

8:48has to get so hyper focused on one thing

8:51in that pursuit of deep focus your brain

8:53is generating dopamine so is dopamine

8:55like considered a good or a bad hormone

8:59because some people can get like bad

9:01habits or

9:02dopamine uh they do things just for hits

9:04to dopamine like scrolling on their

9:06phone right dopamine is both creating

9:08the most amazing world in the world most

9:10amazing world we've ever seen but it's

9:13also causing all of our difficulty at

9:15the same time because we have two

9:17elements of dopamine we have quick and

9:19slow dopamine when we're doing that

9:20Jiu-Jitsu when you start you don't

9:22immediately feel amazing but gradually

9:25as you're getting into it you start to

9:26get more and more pleasure from The

9:27Experience so doing is generating slowly

9:30in your brain when I take out my phone

9:32if I took it out hour went on Tik Tok

9:34dopamine would rapidly generate in my

9:35brain then it would crash out causing

9:37like this L it makes you demotivated it

9:39makes you procrastinate all and now the

9:42sound of this car when I rev

9:47it what hormone are we feeling then that

9:50is going to be dope me that's like an

9:51exciting pleasure experience anything

9:53that's like novel like anything new is

9:55like oh wow dope for me dope for me and

9:57like especially when you first got the

9:59car you'd never done it before you would

10:01have got this massive doam in there yeah

10:03it's like when you first buy a car

10:04you're driving it home you're like oh my

10:06God that's just dop me and then that

10:09wears off over time that does wear off

10:11over time but in that situation if you

10:13had won the lottery and bought the car

10:15with the money you wouldn't have

10:16necessarily earned that dopamine because

10:18so it wouldn't have felt as satisfying

10:20but because you've worked extremely hard

10:21for like a decade in order to attain the

10:23car you have actually earned the

10:25experience of purchasing it so that's

10:26going to actually last that feeling of

10:28satisfaction that is very interesting I

10:30like that suddenly you made me feel

10:32better about it I thought I was just

10:34doing something for dopamine but you're

10:36right yeah and of course you want to be

10:37careful material stuff you you can get

10:40over hooked on that cuz then you can

10:41keep wanting more and more and more but

10:43there's an element of like if you feel

10:44like you've earned something like when I

10:46first signed the book deal I felt like

10:48wow I can take myself on a cool holiday

10:50and stuff like that cuz I'd earned that

10:51experience and getting there and

10:53there'll be a link for the book in the

10:54description

10:59[Music]

11:02all within the speed limit as well can

11:04you believe it that's going to move us

11:05on to the next hormone down which is

11:08oxytocin yeah oxytocin is fascinating

11:10oxytocin basically involved to connect

11:12humans together in the moment we're born

11:15oxytocin surges through our brain and

11:17our mom's brain you've experienced this

11:18recently with your partner and your son

11:20being born and as we go through life we

11:23start building friendships relationships

11:25romantic relationships and it's driving

11:27that desire to connect with humans wow

11:30okay so now we're going to try and

11:32maximize our oxytocin the best we bloody

11:35can we'll move us on to the next part of

11:37the video oxytocin talk to me about

11:40oxytocin always the whole chemical is

11:42designed to faecally connect humans

11:44anytime you having good conversations

11:46with humans socializing physically

11:49connecting hanging out with dogs like

11:51this anything that's bonding you with

11:53species is creating

11:55oxytocin this for example as soon as you

11:57make contact is oxytocin in our modern

11:59world we are super dopamine driven we're

12:02obsessed with either either success or

12:04pleasuring our brains and progressively

12:06we've started to fall back on how much

12:08oxytocin is generated in our brain the

12:10more every day you're thinking about how

12:12you connect with humans the more you

12:13generate second you start filming

12:15alarm's going off that is a breathing

12:17sensor so baby in bed at night few weeks

12:21ago started sleeping face down as babies

12:23like to sleep so in the middle of your

12:25night I'm like why is my baby trying to

12:26kill itself going face down so I'm

12:27Googling it I'm like should sleep face

12:29down apparent it's normal he loves it

12:31now so every time he's in bed boom face

12:34plants the mat so we to get a sensor

12:35that has an alarm so t n just pick the

12:37baby up do you know without oxytocin

12:40being in your brain you would have no

12:42interest in even figuring out why that

12:43was a problem for your baby like the

12:45neurobiological reason you actually care

12:47about that baby is because his chemical

12:49is driving you to think oh that's my

12:51being I got to keep that safe that would

12:52mean that till before having kids I

12:54wouldn't say that I had much of that

12:55hormone I I don't even care about other

12:57people's kids that much I for it out

12:58there kid falls over I found it funny

13:01now I've had kids and a kid falls over I

13:03feel bad throughout that period where

13:04your partner was pregnant and then that

13:06whole period of actually raising the

13:07baby from when it was born your brain

13:09would have been generating tons of it as

13:11that creating that desire to contribute

13:13hey

13:17man oh look at your teary eyes look at

13:20you you're ready for camera aren't you

13:23Happ good morning good morning sir did

13:27you have a good he loves his dad D look

13:29at that did you have a good

13:31sleep and then in his brain oxytocin is

13:34being created like right in these

13:35moments and anytime a baby can either

13:38see their parent or they can hear their

13:40voice they're generating oxytocin hello

13:43I am your

13:44father so yeah this is Ken he's going to

13:47take over all the social

13:48channels in 20 years isn't you hey yeah

13:53there we go where else is oxytocin

13:56prevalent do you know something that's

13:58crazy is as he's growing up anytime as I

14:01say he can hear your voice in another

14:02room it's creating oxytocin in him and

14:04calming his stress hormones cuz he knows

14:06oh my mom and dad are nearby what theyve

14:08basically discovered is that when two

14:10humans are texting one another whether

14:11you're like starting to date someone or

14:13you're calling your family when you text

14:15no oxytocin releases because there's no

14:16sound of voice and as soon as you call

14:18someone and hear their voice oxytocin

14:20starts to generate you think in our

14:21world now where so many of our

14:23relationships are maintained through

14:24like WhatsApp and I message or like you

14:26start dating on a dating app you're not

14:29generating the chemical that bonds you

14:30together so hearing voices is actually

14:32vital that's so interesting cuz I refuse

14:33to have phone calls my phone's been on

14:35do not disturb for about 6 years now it

14:37sounds really bad but like for me if

14:40can't let me hand over the baby Alfie's

14:42brought you a door stop down there show

14:44that Declan Alfie's been kind enough to

14:45bring him a door stop what's up

14:48man dogs are then also so good and as we

14:52said cortisol is the stress hormone

14:54comes into your gut and anytime you're

14:58super stressed out if you you can

14:59physically connect with a dog it's

15:00another thing that oxytocin is going to

15:01calm your system down have a dog in the

15:04house yeah for me when people call me up

15:06I'm like for me efficiency is a very

15:09important part of life so you're a

15:11dopamine junkie yeah I'm a dopamine guy

15:13so I'm like what do you want they're

15:14like is everything okay I'm like why are

15:15you asking me a question on top of the

15:17question I just asked you efficiency is

15:20key what do you want let's get it over

15:22with so these are the 20 most

15:23scientifically backed actions to boost

15:25these brain chemicals if we have a

15:27little look at this for for example we

15:29both had our cold showers after

15:31Jiu-Jitsu currently we're getting off

15:32our phones when you're taking a break

15:34from your phone it's awesome discipline

15:36is good flow state is when we got into

15:38deep focus these are the kind of things

15:40that are great oxytocin this chemical

15:42we're on now social connection you and I

15:44bonding up physical touch babies humans

15:47dogs anything so these are the kind of

15:49actions that are causing these chemicals

15:51to rise we have serotonin these are big

15:54deep breathing patterns we call this

15:55underthinking it slows your brain Down

15:58nutrition obviously a big element of

15:59what you talk about we're about to be

16:01outdoors in the sunlight for our next

16:03activity we're going to be in the nature

16:06so this is like the mood chemical 90% of

16:08Serotonin is generated in your gut which

16:10is crazy and it evolved as a chemical to

16:13effectively make us take care of our

16:14body and then we have endorphins we were

16:16talking about this in Jiu-Jitsu anytime

16:18we're putting our body under extreme

16:20physical load we're experiencing this

16:22rise in endorphin from the exercise the

16:24stretching of the body when your body

16:25gets extremely hot and then also if we

16:28have some fun today and some laughter

16:29we're going to get the endorphins up and

16:31if people wanted to learn more about

16:33this stuff imagine if you had a book oh

16:36wait we'll put a link in the

16:39description so you're like a a better

16:42version of Andrew hubman the next one

16:44maybe oh fantastic serotonin from the

16:47sea the sand the heat the sunlight and

16:50the sunlight let's go whilst we're doing

16:52a a full video about the brain and

16:55Neuroscience wouldn't it be

16:59amazing if they were now Stay classy we

17:01don't need to promote it on the video

17:03come

17:04on towels Beach Swim serotonin you bring

17:10the oxy don't you so now serotonin

17:13something like we're out in sunlight

17:16anytime you're in good natural

17:17environments you're getting the sasone

17:19in if that water's cold it's going to be

17:21dopamine as well for our fortunately not

17:23is it not cold we were this morning it's

17:25not too hot not too cold one of the

17:29rules that we try and get people to live

17:30by is the idea of sunlight before social

17:33media every day the sunlight being

17:35ridiculously good for your serotonin and

17:37not going on social media first thing is

17:39so good for restoring your dopamine

17:40system so would you say you come out

17:43here before you go on social media this

17:45morning I came out here before I brushed

17:46my teeth go came here with the dog but

17:50most days I walk the dog I have a

17:53harness that goes around my waist he's

17:54on a bungee and I just go on my phone

17:56while I'm walking so I'm mixing the both

17:58at the same same time but um we might

18:00have to change that up for the start of

18:02the day being no could you do no phone

18:04first thing do you think no cuz when the

18:05UK are awake and they've been awake all

18:07day ah so you need that time get away

18:09from the CV yeah so um it's my my time

18:12to like catch up on stuff ah interesting

18:15and then so your evening you can

18:17potentially have as like a bit Tech UK

18:19wake up so when's your Tech detox taking

18:23place uh when we sell new

18:26tonic 5 years time when we exit

18:29uh now like uh I wake up I usually get

18:33coffee in bed and the baby put on my lap

18:35yeah so you got obiously toing at the

18:37beginning Tay showers yeah then she gets

18:40baby I take dog out I go out with the

18:42dog for like 45 minutes to an hour on my

18:44phone go get another coffee come back uh

18:47feed the dog get on the laptop 3 hours 2

18:49hours 3 Hours hard work are you good at

18:51getting quite into deep focus oh yeah

18:53clear all my inboxes clear the Discord

18:55do everything on need to first thing

18:57then let go gym train go to Jitsu train

19:00come home eat if I have the luxury have

19:02a little sleep yeah okay what sort of

19:04time is the Sleep 1 2:00 yeah napping is

19:08actually pretty good for your serotonin

19:10uh then if you can take the Naps if you

19:12have the time to take them if they're

19:13not too long they're quite good for you

19:15then wake up try and do as much baby

19:17stuff as I can CU T's done the morning

19:19shift Tay will go train me and Kean will

19:22Chill on the sofa if I ever watch or do

19:24brain dead shits on the sofa then and

19:26what is your brain dead [ __ ] uh watching

19:28fail compilations what YouTube or Tik

19:31Tok yeah car video get YouTube cuz then

19:33I can sit with the baby yeah then uh

19:36maybe do a couple more hours work 4: to

19:38600 yeah if I have it then we watch TV

19:42uh 7 to 8:30 go to bed now here's

19:45something that could be quite

19:47controversial I love a good hour of just

19:50Doom scrolling before bed right okay but

19:53it doesn't hinder my sleep it doesn't

19:55stop me falling asleep it's my 1 hour

19:57why I don't think about about anything

19:59important so when Tay says to me oh by

20:01the way we've got this I'm like nah this

20:03is my time to not think about anything

20:05that's important and then like after

20:07that I do exactly what everyone says I

20:09get the blue light in my eyes I Doom

20:11scrub whatever yeah then I sleep and I

20:13sleep for as long until the baby wakes

20:15me up and what does your doom scull

20:17involve cuz it's actually not just phone

20:19equals bad it depends on the app you're

20:22on and stuff like that for you page Tik

20:24Tok hit me and I'm like is there

20:27something funny enough the t's getting

20:29her toe touched under the covers have a

20:31look at this but we both just sit there

20:33in bed with our feet touching we do it

20:35for like half an hour an hour at the

20:37same time and then you hear each other's

20:38TI and then I can hear her giggling at

20:40stuff and then I'm like oh what have you

20:42got over there and then we go to bed and

20:44do you also do SC in the morning no no I

20:48couldn't get caught in a Vortex on the

20:49dog walk but mostly it's wor okay

20:52putting out fires how many times do you

20:54reckon you open Tik Tok a day uh Tik Tok

20:57not not a huge deal mostly Instagram my

21:00bad habit is I will open Instagram and

21:02go to my inbox without even thinking

21:04about it okay so I do move the apps

21:06around yeah to then realize how [ __ ]

21:09autopilot that [ __ ] is there's a

21:11ridiculously good software I've put on

21:13that makes it take 20 seconds for

21:15Instagram to open so you click the app

21:17and you have to sit there for 20 seconds

21:19considering whether you're going to

21:20actually need to go on it that that sort

21:22of thing can help a lot what's the app

21:23called it's called one set it is very

21:26good I don't necessarily provide it but

21:27it's very good yeah I'm so hooked on

21:30social media that I've had to create

21:31this rule whereby I can only go on it at

21:3310 a.m. 300 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and I

21:37have to earn those moments I have to

21:38earn it in the morning earn it in the

21:40afternoon earn it in the evening and the

21:42evening one I have to make sure I've had

21:43my dinner and washed up my dinner before

21:45I can have that that chill moment on

21:47social media oh look serotonin in the

21:49wild serotonin the Wild and because

21:51they're bonding because they don't know

21:52each other so they're now building a

21:54friendship they're getting

21:56oxytocin if they're finding it cold it's

21:59both me did you look at that so i' be

22:02guilty I've been guilty of just throwing

22:04around terminologies I don't really know

22:06which one's which but after today Dean

22:09it's going to be difficult to make that

22:10mistake again I'm not going to comment

22:12about a swimwear attire that's good

22:14swimwear Tire I reckon do you know what

22:16the hardest part of wearing swim shorts

22:18they get those nice shorts they don't

22:19look like this like J do you know what

22:21the hardest hardest thing of swim shorts

22:23is telling your parents yeah

22:28come

22:42on yeah I went to a phase of my life

22:44where definitely used to love MDMA the

22:47crazy thing is when you get a social

22:48media following you can't enjoy MDMA

22:50anymore because you'll be at a festival

22:52You' be coming up on MD listening to a

22:54song someone's like oh M I'll follow you

22:56on Facebook you're like oh you're right

22:58mate oh yeah my man loves your [ __ ] oh

23:00cheers mate cheers right you just want

23:02to be there right yeah and then kman

23:05gets a bad RP but sometimes a little bit

23:08of C in dance FL with your mates have a

23:11little bit of a boogie no come down you

23:13find it addictive no not really I don't

23:15even find the idea of going out and

23:17having fun addi like how you Reon you go

23:20out and buy now every 6 months oh really

23:24what every 6 months used to be every 6

23:26days you know what I can't I don't even

23:28enjoy alcohol anymore I'm saying today I

23:31can't have one beer and enjoy it yeah

23:33cuz you start getting that voice in your

23:34head of I want more I want more and then

23:36you have to battle the resistance not

23:38even that like I know that one beer

23:41really negates my quality of sleep yeah

23:43so I'm like okay you're in that shallow

23:45you're like away am I am I going to uh

23:48reduce my sleep by 30% also here it is

23:51my blood alcohol can only ever go off

23:53the second it starts coming down I'm

23:55hating life yeah so the idea of having

23:57two beers at 2: p.m. in the afternoon

23:58and going about your day basic me

24:00depressed no cuz when it wears off the

24:02dopamine crash it's so be yeah so I'd

24:04rather just not have it probably while

24:06like Australia I could never even put my

24:07finger on it here there's so much more

24:09of a natural dose of those things

24:11whereas where you don't have them you

24:13need to get them from other means like

24:14if you said to me now all James you've

24:16got a condition you're never going to be

24:17able to drink alcohol again I probably

24:19wouldn't be that disappoint oh oh no and

24:23if I said you can never come out here

24:24again I'll kill

24:26myself so with this day we've been

24:28having we've now hit all four chemicals

24:31remember dope means the chemical that

24:33gets boosted when we do hard things that

24:35focus our brain when we were in that

24:36Jiu-Jitsu and we were deep focused that

24:38was generating it the other part of DOP

24:40mean is we're always thinking about how

24:42can we reduce the quick dop me into our

24:45brain from the social media the sugar

24:47the booze and so on this whole time for

24:49these hours we've been together neither

24:50of us have been on WhatsApp we haven't

24:52been on our email we haven't been on

24:53social media I call that phone fasting

24:56like fasting from the tech so that's

24:57been awesome for the dop mean oxytocin

24:59we've been connecting up with one

25:01another connecting with the baby

25:02connecting with the dog building our

25:04friendship and relationship which is

25:05generating that never met before never

25:07met before this is true oxy comeing to

25:10my house you stranger I just turned off

25:12and I was like right mate dose day do

25:14day today serotonin we've been out in

25:16the nature the sunlight and then

25:18endorphins that hard physical work from

25:20the Jiu-Jitsu the're swimming so we are

25:22fully dosed and every day you want to be

25:24thinking I'm doing something hard for

25:26dopamine I'm doing something that

25:27connects me with humans I'm doing

25:28something outdoors in nature and I'm

25:30physically pushing my body for the

25:32Endorphin and if someone isn't getting

25:34those things they got to start

25:36prioritizing them right for sure it

25:38makes a ridiculous difference to your

25:40life if in your life you hadn't just

25:43gone through a serious life event like a

25:45a breakup or you're going through grief

25:47but you feel like you're struggling with

25:48your mental health you're feeling low

25:50mood low motivation if you're not going

25:53through a big life event it's very

25:54likely that your lifestyle is causing an

25:56imbalance in these brain chemicals and

25:58that is then sending a message to your

25:59brain creating that difficulty in your

26:02thoughts so beginning to think each day

26:04how can I boost one of these up you

26:06don't have to do loads of stuff just one

26:07or two actions it's going to start

26:09transforming how you feel in your head

26:11cuz I think modern day life people seem

26:13to think that your Baseline is happiness

26:16and anything below that but really you

26:18have to support feeling good you have to

26:20promote you have to pay into the bank CU

26:23if you don't your Baseline then starts

26:25to fall below zero like some people

26:27think oh I should just be unless someone

26:29dies when the truth is go way the truth

26:31is your mental health is like a table

26:33that needs to be propped up it doesn't

26:35even cost much it's just with all these

26:37brain chemicals it is so important to

26:39understand that we spent 300,000 years

26:42in Sim similar physical forms to this as

26:44Homo sapiens and we were running around

26:46in groups in tribes making fires hunting

26:48connecting with one another and these

26:50brain chemicals were evolving in that

26:52period of time they didn't just appear

26:53in the last 20 years they were evolving

26:55for a lifestyle of Hard Work Connection

26:58and natural living and in our modern

27:00world we have just moved to the complete

27:01opposite so they're dropping and every

27:03day if you're thinking something like

27:04jiujitsu that's really bringing you back

27:07to how we originally were designed to be

27:09we would have been in those like

27:10physical fights all the time well I hope

27:12you enjoyed the video uh socials TJ

27:15power TJ power Instagram is the best one

27:18bloody lovely thanks for watching
