0:13>> Welcome to Fantasy Focus Football. It is
0:15Monday, September 21st. Our week 2
0:18wrap-up show is upon us. We have not our
0:21normal crew today as the great the
0:22venerable Liz Loza is sitting in for
0:24Daniel Dopp. It's Daniel's wife's
0:26birthday. So fair.
0:27>> Happy birthday to Rosie Dopp. And big
0:29thanks to Liz for hanging out with us
0:30today.
0:31>> Happy to be here. I've been here since
0:33Saturday.
0:33>> You're burning the midnight oil right
0:35now, too.
0:35>> I've been up for a little bit. And what
0:37a day of football did we have. Wow.
0:39>> It was Why Why are you smiling when you
0:41say that? Cuz I wasn't smiling at all
0:43yesterday. That was
0:43>> I wasn't smiling, but I did get to
0:44experience the war room, which I have
0:46yet to do this season. And that is
0:47always an enlivening experience.
0:49>> We had this very high scoring week one
0:51and relatively clean injury slate. And
0:52then week two was like, "Yeah, not so
0:54fast." My friends, as we are going to do
0:56every single Monday, we will begin our
0:58game by-game recap. One of us will take
1:00the lead on a game. The others will fill
1:03in any potential missing pieces. And of
1:06course, we start with Liz Loza, and
1:08we're going to start with an injury of
1:10note in DC.
1:12>> Yes. Now, there's a buzzer on this, so I
1:14have to be rather concise.
Commanders vs. Cowboys
1:16>> It was a run. We're out of time. Next
1:18game.
1:19>> All right. So, the Commanders Cowboys
1:21matchup. Commanders fell 20-37 at
1:25Dallas. Biggest news obviously is that
1:26Jaden Daniels was carded off the field
1:28with an elbow injury in the last play of
1:31the first half. This is the second elbow
1:34injury for him on that same elbow. Um
1:37this stunk man like the energy
1:39completely deflated from the war room,
1:42from the field. Um he had sadly also
1:45rushed for 69 yards up until that point
1:47was looking a little vintage. We had
1:49seen shades of that in week one. There
1:52seemed to be some momentum going on. He
1:54had also connected with Stfan Diggs on a
1:56four-yard touchdown before exiting.
1:59Let's talk about Diggs for a second. Oh,
2:01Adam Shfter also telling us that today's
2:03X-ray on the elbow showed no fracture.
2:06So, that's good news. I will have to
2:09monitor that situation moving forward,
2:10but obviously it doesn't feel great.
2:12Neither did his O line's reaction. I'll
2:14leave other people to debate that. Um,
2:17Stefan Diggs though, bit of a homecoming
2:19as we discussed at the top of the
2:20season. Then he accounted for both of
2:21the teams touchdowns actually one via
2:24the affforementioned Daniels and the
2:26other in the second half after Marcus
2:28Mariota took over for him proving to be
2:30quite uh a excellent acquisition for the
2:33team. Six tow his six targets however uh
2:36were tied for the second on the team
2:38with Rashad White. It was Terry
2:39Mcccluren who actually led the team in
2:41looks. He managed to draw nine but was
2:44not particularly efficient with his
2:46opportunities. Only converted two of
2:48those for 50 yards. This is my favorite
2:50player in the league. I've decided. I
2:52love Terry McLaren. Favorite player in
2:54the league. Very apprehensive about his
2:56fantasy prospects moving forward though.
2:58>> Who does start the season?
2:59>> Yeah, it's not great. Not great. Should
3:01we move to the Cowboy of all the hype
3:03around him too in the offseason?
3:04>> I know. After getting paid at the end of
3:06uh at the beginning of last season, too.
3:08>> Uh the only thing I'll say before we
3:10move on from the commanders is that not
3:12so fast on giving this job to Jakori
3:14Kroski. Merritt in the back field.
3:15Decided snap for Rashad White. Rashad
3:18White 53.7 to 34.3 for Kroski Merritt
3:22and more importantly six targets six
3:25catches for Rashad White just one target
3:28which is not an atypical number for
3:30Jakori Kroski Merritt but uh wasn't
3:32efficient enough as a runner not going
3:34to see enough volume in the passing game
3:36more than anything this feels like a
3:38stay away back fieldielder
3:39>> yeah I agree he had six catches did
3:40Rashad why JCM ran seven routes it's not
3:43going to cut a big change from week one
3:44so
3:45>> I know you and I were both big on Bill
3:47coming into this week, especially with
3:48the matchup. Um, can we talk about the
3:50Cowboys now? Be loud. Okay. Um,
3:53>> so no question in this contest, who is
3:56the Cowboys wide receiver one? It was
3:58something we debated heading into the
4:00season. It is CD Lamb. He bested his
4:02five catch outing versus the Giants in
4:04week one. He converted eight of a team
4:06high nine for over 150 yards. Two
4:09touchdowns got fantasy managers 35
4:12fantasy points. That's he's going to be
4:14like the wide receiver, too, I believe,
4:15heading into Monday Night Football.
4:16capitalized on a favorable matchup. Dak
4:18Prescott, speaking of dominating, he was
4:22sharp in this effort. He completed 84%
4:25of his passes for 279 and four
4:28touchdowns. Ended up with nearly four
4:30fantasy points. Jake Ferguson also
4:33showed up. He uh was on the receiving
4:35end of two of Dak's touchdowns. Moving
4:37forward, I think this is going to be an
4:40exploitable matchup for tight ends.
4:41Dallas Goddard managed two touchdowns
4:42against the Commanders in week one. So,
4:44just something to keep an eye on moving
4:46forward. Um, and they go to Brazil. I
4:49believe
4:49>> they do. Yeah.
4:50>> Just keep an eye on uh linebacker there
4:53Frankie Luvu has been out. He's so
4:55that's probably going to affect your uh
4:56tight ends a little bit. That's the only
4:58thing I'd say we'll monitor that. But
4:59yeah, you're right. So far, so good for
5:00tight ends.
5:01>> Biggest thing from the Cowboys other
5:03than what you talked about because
5:04they're the maybe one of the chalkiest
5:05teams right now in fantasy football. We
5:06know who to start and they generally pay
5:08off is a slowish start compared to last
5:10year for George Pickins. Yep. So, we'll
5:12discuss Pickins prospects going forward
5:14later on this week. Uh, Liz, we're going
5:16to give you the same the next game as
5:17well. The Vikings at your Bears. How are
5:19you doing emotions wise this morning?
5:22>> I will say that I don't know, there was
5:24a lot going on and I'm still processing.
5:26Um, it was a it was a messy game.
5:28Obviously, the weather had something to
5:30do with it. Vikings obviously won 9 to3.
5:33Um, this was
5:34>> yours duel.
5:34>> You know what I thought honestly? Yeah,
5:35I know I'm not supposed to take time
Bears vs. Vikings
5:36saying this, but like under my breath
5:38watching that game, this stinking Madden
5:40cover curse. It was the only thing I
5:42could think about. Um,
5:44>> but I it wasn't like a convincing effort
5:47before Caleb Williams got hurt. Um, the
5:50Ray notwithstanding very very messy
5:51effort. In fact, here's a a stat I
5:53pulled. The Bears experienced the
5:55largest drop off in points from one week
5:57to the next since the 1920 Rochester
6:01Jefferson.
6:02>> Yeah, I remember that game. I was going
6:03to say, yeah, I I I barely won my
6:05fantasy matchup that second week because
6:07they were so good the week prior.
6:08>> You look so good h for having been born
6:11over. Yes, you look fantastic.
6:13>> That's weird. I You didn't say that to
6:14me.
6:14>> Well, I don't know what his skin routine
6:15is. I already know that you're like a
6:17Neutrogena girl. Anyway, um Brian Flores
6:21really did dial it up. Neither Roma
6:23Dunay Luther Burton or God has helped me
6:25Coloulston Lovelin cleared 45 receiving
6:28yards in this effort. It was DeAndre
6:29Swift who as a reminder is the team's
6:31running back that led in receiving yards
6:33with 54 guys. I'm at a loss. I don't I
6:37don't know. I don't know what to say. I
6:39don't know what to do.
6:39>> Yeah. Well, a new quarterback now at
6:41least for a short amount of time. It
6:42looks like
6:43>> quarterback that through an endzone look
6:46at Coloulston Lovelin's feet in the end
6:48of the fourth quarter.
6:48>> Yeah. And a guy also a quarterback that
6:51hasn't played regularly since in three
6:53years.
6:53>> Yeah. He had that one start against the
6:54Chargers on Sunday Night Football a
6:56couple of years back. Tyson, four
6:58straight games he played. Yeah, but it
6:59wasn't that great. 6.0 yards per
7:01attempt. So that could hurt this offense
7:03in the short term. Luckily though, it
7:04looks like hamstring not something more
7:06severe for Caleb Blame. So this might be
7:08a short-term injury, but we have to
7:10adjust this
7:11>> the drama for just a hamstring injury. I
7:14know it's not my job. I know it's not my
7:16job to say that, but like I am relieved
7:17that it's a hamstring injury and yet
7:20it's a little
7:20>> It did look way worse than it turned out
7:23to be, which is always good news, you
7:24know, relatively speaking. Yeah. the
7:2610:07 Eastern time vibes or that this
7:28might be something that's more in like
7:29the couple to few weeks range as opposed
7:31to maybe the entire season. It looked
7:33bad. Just takeaways from this game
7:35there. There are some reasons to
7:36discount a lot of what Minnesota did.
7:38They went in there and they basically
7:40said, "We're going to find a way to
7:42grind this one out with our defense and
7:44the weather is going to help us." Aaron
7:46Jones played a ton of snaps.
7:48>> Yes.
7:49>> 80 plus% of the snaps. He wasn't that
7:51great. He had zero targets that did
7:53Aaron Jones, but he got 23 rushing
7:55attempts. So,
7:56>> I think he probably creeps into that.
7:58You know, he stays in that low-end RB2
8:00strong flex consideration until Jordan
8:03Mason.
8:03>> This is a four-week deal with Aaron
8:05Jones, I think, where they're just going
8:06to throw it all at him and then he'll
8:08come back and then they'll let him
8:09>> Well, he didn't draw a look though. He
8:10did run 11 routes. DJ Dallas, if people
8:13are just looking at the box score, did
8:14see one target, but he only ran three
8:16routes. So, just an idea of
8:18>> 20 pass attempts for them with them
8:19being ahead. This game did not go game
8:21script-wise how we thought. We thought
8:22Chicago would get some get some points,
8:24score maybe one touchdown. That would
8:26have been nice.
8:27>> I mean, Carson Wentz, you're right,
8:28failed to score, failed to throw a
8:30single touchdown. And Jefferson
8:31Jefferson was like fedish is 40% target
8:36or 30% target here, excuse me. He'll
8:38he'll be fine. He was three for 55 in
8:39the first half. I'm less concerned about
8:41the Minnesota stuff. The Bears
8:43independent of the Caleb Williams stuff,
8:45independent of the weather, like we got
8:47to get these pass catchers going in a
8:48major way. All of them, all of them are
8:51amongst the biggest early season busts.
8:53>> No doubt about it. Like Roma Dunce,
8:54Luther Burden, Coulson Lovelin, none of
8:57them have come anywhere close to paying
8:58off close to value. I mean, I guess if
9:00you're like a Luther Burden manager,
9:02you're like, well, I mean, I could have
9:041.3 total fantasy points from Coulson
9:06Lovelin over two weeks. It's just been
9:08awful. We thought this Bears offense
9:10would be very good. I have optimism it
9:12will be once Caleb Williams returns, but
9:14we need it to be really good and
9:16featuring the guys. So, where does your
9:18optimism come from though?
9:19>> They scored 59 points last week.
9:20>> Yeah, talent. Yeah, they have Ben
9:22Johnson, I think, will get it together.
9:24The problem is Caleb's out this week and
9:26you're playing the Eagles. Really tough
9:27matchup. It's going to be hard to rank
9:28those guys particularly, at least for
9:30week three.
9:30>> Yeah, the Bears also kick themselves in
9:32the shin at the goal line yesterday.
9:34DeAndre Swift fumbles on the 1 inch
9:36line. They also had a missed field goal
9:38early. Let's move forward here. Eagles
9:40and Titans. Mike, it is all yours. This
9:42game was played at volcanic temperatures
9:45in Nashville. Holy cow.
9:46>> Yeah. And uh the Eagles tried to blow
9:48this one a few times just like they did
9:49Washington the week before, but Jaylen
9:50Herz's impressive drive toward the end
9:52there. Dvonte Smith had a huge game, 10
9:54for a buck 17, and a touchdown. The
Eagles vs. Titans
9:56Eagles pull out the win 2420.
9:59Uh big news here is certainly the
10:01injuries on the Eagles side. Uh we'll
10:03start with Saquon Barkley. He went down
10:06early, didn't play the whole rest of the
10:07first half, then came back and just kind
10:08of played spot snaps in the second half.
10:10That at least at least gives me hope
10:12that he they're gonna he's gonna he's
10:13scheduled for an MRI today, but gives me
10:15optimism that'll be okay for next week.
10:17We'll keep an eye on that throughout the
10:18week. If Tank Bixby is on waivers, you
10:20could scoop him up, but
10:21>> I still think it's worth it.
10:22>> Uh waiver it waiver
10:25and you guys will discuss that tomorrow
10:26on the waiver show. But Will Shipley was
10:28heavily involved as well. So Bsby not
10:30going to be I don't think like a lock
10:32and load RB2 by any means, but could be
10:34on the flex radar. Again, BSB is the
10:36priority there, but we're going to keep
10:38an eye on Barkley. It shouldn't be too
10:39long if he misses any time. The one that
10:42could be is Dallas Goddard. He goes down
10:44in this game. Misses doesn't come back
10:45at all. Uh we'll see what happens with
10:48that one. He has a history of missing
10:50multiple games per season. So it's
10:51really unfortunate, especially as Liz
10:53pointed out, he had a good week one. So
10:55monitor that throughout the week. Not a
10:56lot of not a ton of people were drafting
10:58him to be their starter, so this one
10:59might not move the needle too much. But
11:01again, something to monitor. Again,
11:03Devonte Smith locked and loaded as a
11:05borderline wide receiver. One with a
11:07huge game and back here.
11:09>> Your guy Devon uh yeah does it again.
11:12Five for 74. Uh he is flirting with the
11:15flex radar. Uh the reason why he's able
11:17to do that I think is because Mai
11:19Lemon's nothing nothing to be seen
11:21there. He's a a bench guy. You hope at
11:23some point his roll increase is just one
11:25catch so far. Um I think that's it from
11:28the Eagle side, Titan side.
11:31>> Nothing.
11:32>> Nothing. I mean
11:33>> who's starting like
11:34>> the wide receiver? The wide receivers
11:36are a mess. The only wide receiver over
11:3835 yards in this game is Alec Aomo
11:39Manor, who by the way was stealing snaps
11:41from Wandel Robinson in this game.
11:42>> Absurd.
11:43>> I mean, Cardinal Tate can't get going.
11:45Uh, he was the only Titan over three
11:46targets. He had five in this game. So,
11:48Tony Pard ran fine. He's still in a
11:50committee. By the way, Taj Spears,
11:53>> is he the fastest guy in the league? I
11:54mean, what I was about to make, they got
11:57to find a way to get the ball in his
11:58hands more. Every time he touched it as
11:59an Eagles fan, I was nervous because he
12:01was so explosive. They got to get him
12:03the ball more. But right now, this is a
12:05situation to avoid. I don't think we
12:06could trust even Tate or Wando. Right.
12:08>> And Cam Ward accounted for both of the
12:10team scores which came by the ground.
12:11>> Also irritating. Yes. If you're invested
12:14in Titans. Yes. Uh in 10 team leagues,
12:16there's not a single Titan that I think
12:17is worth starting right now.
12:19>> In 12 team leagues, I don't think
12:20there's a single Titan worth starting
12:22right now. We'll see in deeper leagues
12:24where things get really desperate in a
12:25hurry. But Tennessee, my note for them
12:28on my full one page here was just a big
12:31X all the way through the box score.
12:32Nothing. There's no Titan I want to be
12:34starting right now in fantasy. Eagles
12:36just they just a wins machine, Mike. I
12:38don't know how they do it, but they find
12:40a
12:40>> tighter than it needed to be though.
12:42>> Doesn't matter. Yeah, I know. That's
12:43what makes me took them and pick them,
12:44but schedule is very light this year.
12:46So, uh, you know, they might be able to
12:48chip away, but when they have a tough
12:49game, we're going to find out about this
12:50team.
12:51>> Uh, the Texans haven't grinded out any
12:52wins so far this year, Liz. They're 0
12:54and2. The Bengals 2 and0, sort of the
12:56reverse of what they have been too
12:58frequently under Zack Taylor, which is
Bengals vs. Texans
12:59slow starters. 20 to6. Good
13:02business-like win down in Houston.
13:05>> Yeah, it was nice to see Jamar Chase
13:07bounce back for fantasy purpose.
13:08>> How good is that guy?
13:10>> Incredible. I mean, both of Joe Burrow's
13:12touchdown passes went to Jamar Chase on
13:15highlight worthy grabs. Turns out he is
13:19in fact him. Um, T. Higgins also, I
13:21think we need to mention because he led
13:23the team in targets with 10. He caught
13:25half of those for 95 yards. He is
13:27averaging an impressive 19.3 yards per
13:30reception over his first two weeks of
13:322026. So I feel like T. Higgins on any
13:35other NFL squad would be a wide receiver
13:38one and he tends to get buried because
13:39Jamar Chase is just so elite. I was also
13:42really impressed with Chase Brown who
13:45maybe didn't post giant fantasy numbers
13:47but did have a productive outing in real
13:49football in a tough matchup. He touched
13:51the ball 23 times for 82 scrimmage
13:54yards. I think that was worth 15 fantasy
13:56points. uh only in RB2 in fantasy for
13:58this week, but locked in obviously is an
14:00every week start. Joe Burrow also
14:02entered the contest. Mike, I believe you
14:05had questions about Joe Burrow and his
14:07health particularly and whether you were
14:08going to downgrade him when we were
14:09talking about the issue on FFC.
14:12>> Entered it banged up. Still proved to be
14:14serviceable for fantasy.
14:15>> 16 points. Yeah, I think uh he was in a
14:17middle. Yeah,
14:18>> we'll travel to Pittsburgh in week
14:20three. Um any other notes before I move
14:22to Houston's side note.
14:23>> Pretty pretty status. Bengals are like
14:25the the Cowboys.
14:26>> Oh, a typical Mike Cassiki goes from a
14:28huge week one to his zero in week two.
14:31That was perfect. Perfect. Mike Caseiki,
14:33right?
14:33>> Um well, speaking of tight ends, Dalton
14:36Schultz is pretty much the only answer
14:38for the Houston Texans. He stepped up
14:41bigly, if you will, with Nico Collins
14:43out. Drew a monster 14 looks, ended up
14:46with 12 catches, 140 yards. No offense,
14:49Mike, but he crushed his nine-point
14:51projection here, earning managers 26
14:54fantasy points. Um, he's going to be a
14:56top five play at least, you know,
14:57heading into by the end of Monday Night
14:59Football, rather. Other Houston wide
15:01receivers, it doesn't matter. This
15:04receiver room is completely unsettled.
15:06Xavier Hutchinson led the team with nine
15:08looks and former Pittsburgh Panthers
15:11stand out Jared Wayne was second on the
15:14team with uh in targets with seven.
15:16>> I did mention him on FFC for the record.
15:18went to college. I did that for you. And
15:21uh basically this receiver room is just
15:23like a I like to say a Mishagos of meh.
15:25>> Yeah. Nico or bust. Uh yeah, Dalton
15:27Schultz tight ends against Bengals.
15:28Could that be a thing again?
15:29>> Maybe it's back. It wasn't back in week
15:30one,
15:31>> but Bengals Bengals defense is
15:33>> dramatically better. Much better. I know
15:35they gave some points to Tampa Bay last
15:36week, but they made some plays and shut
15:38down Houston. This week, David
15:39Montgomery in this one, six carries, 10
15:41yards. Woody Marks, eight carries, eight
15:43yards. What do we think? Were they the
15:45people that were really mad about the
15:46idea that you agreed with? By the way,
15:48my stance after week one was David
15:49Montgomery is the perfect sell high
15:50candidate. Yeah, a lot of people were
15:52mad. Mike sided with me. I think Daniel
15:53was more on the people's side.
15:56>> Yeah.
15:56>> 4.4 fantasy points.
15:58>> Yeah. Not great.
15:58>> Not great, Bob.
15:59>> Cincinnati Bengals defense. Just going
16:01to say really quickly. Kh coach Edwards
16:03in the war room was came up to me and
16:04was like, "How does a team go from the
16:0631st ranked defense to this?" So, I do
16:09think we got to give the Bengals
16:11hard cash, right? Much different team.
16:13Yes. Sometimes you pour a lot of money
16:14into a defense or an offense and it
16:16doesn't necessarily convert. So just not
16:18we cannot keep the same narrative from
16:20last year about the Bengals defense
16:21unless it pertains to
16:22>> Absolutely not. Yeah, maybe maybe tight
16:23ends though after what Colts did in this
16:25one, but we'll see.
16:26>> Carolina went to Atlanta and absolutely
16:28wiped the floor with the pathetic
16:29Falcons. They dominated them and Bryce
16:31Young was awesome for the second
16:33straight week. He had three passing
16:35touchdowns and 24.1 fantasy points. I'll
16:38make this quick on Bryce because we've
16:39seen Bryce have good moments and then
Panthers vs. Falcons
16:41he'd have sort of come back down to
16:43earth moments does Bryce Young. I like
16:45four of his five next matchups. So, for
16:48some reason you're sputtering at
16:49quarterback. Maybe you drafted Justin
16:51Herbert. Maybe if Matthew Stafford duds
16:53again tonight and you're like, "What the
16:54heck?" Drake May, he's been awful for
16:56two straight weeks and you want to
16:57consider a change up. Bryce Young will
16:59have our attention until further notice.
17:02Going to continue to reiterate it's the
17:03Chuba Hubard show in the Carolina
17:05Panthers backfield. He ends up with
17:0714.4. 4 fantasy points. Jonathan Brooks
17:09just 2.1. The snap share was a little
17:12tighter this week, but that's because
17:14this game was a blowout. Chuba was
17:16playing the consequential snaps again
17:18until further notice. I'm not saying
17:19this is all year, but I think I thought
17:21this coming into the season, and I feel
17:22the same way now. It's the Chuba show as
17:25a he's the new James Conor, the the
17:27unsexy RB2 that you don't really feel
17:30great about drafting, and he ends up
17:32being pretty solid. By the way, Brooks,
17:33really quick, Brook Brooks did leave
17:34this game hurt too later on, but it was
17:36still a
17:37>> He also had a groin injury. I just want
17:38to make sure people know it's not a knee
17:40issue. So,
17:41>> um, the Panthers might have two
17:42receivers that are in our rankings in
17:44the top 30. Tedo McMillan, you know him,
17:47and he was good yesterday. He had 10
17:49targets, highest on the team, five for
17:50101 was the final line there with some
17:52sweet grabs as well. Not too far behind
17:55is Jaylen Coker from
17:58>> You got this one.
17:59>> Holy Cross.
18:00>> Thank you.
18:00>> OH, I GOT ONE. OH, that one.
18:02>> Mike nailed it. Eight catches for 66
18:05yards. So, the yards per catch just over
18:07eight yards, but he is awesome. Eight
18:09catches on nine targets backtoback.
18:11Really solid weeks here for Jaylen
18:13Coker. Guy got a legit extension this
18:15off seasonason. Three years, $35
18:17million. This kid can play. This offense
18:19is playing with a ton of confidence
18:21right now. If I like Bryce Young's
18:23matchup, four out of the next five
18:24weeks. I like the matchup for the wide
18:26receivers as well. Coker would be inside
18:28my top 30 in my very preliminary week
18:31three ranks.
18:32>> Oh, wait. He only caught eight of nine
18:33targets. Darn. He was 14 of 14 against
18:35Atlanta in his career before yesterday.
18:37>> Damn it. You didn't mention that stat
18:39coming into the week. Uh
18:41>> yeah, I'm with you. Just keep in mind
18:42Bryce Young owns the Falcons. I mean,
18:44his two best games ever against Atlanta.
18:45Had another big one yesterday. Uh so I'm
18:48curious to see if he can keep this
18:49going. He's not known, as I talked about
18:50in FFC uh yesterday, has never had two
18:53back-to-back good fantasy games. This is
18:55the first time in his career.
18:56>> Yeah, he's a backto-back good fantasy
18:57game. So, we'll see if he keeps that
18:59going.
18:59>> Uh, the Falcons,
19:01>> hug a Falcons fan if you know one.
19:03>> Yeah,
19:03>> they need therapy. What a pathetic
19:04existence this offense is right now.
19:06>> Good news is Thursday night they play
19:07again. Maybe we get Michael Pennock
19:09back.
19:09>> Okay, that's we need that. They did get
19:11their Jack Strand moment. It didn't go
19:14well from jump.
19:16>> Cooper Rush had negative.6 fantasy
19:17points. I I'm trying to find a silver
19:19line here. There is none because there
19:21are three guys that we are not just
19:22invested in but heavily invested in in
19:25fantasy, right? Be John obviously was
19:27RB2. He had a monster game last week. He
19:30had 11.1 fantasy points this week. They
19:32kind of yanked him early. He played just
19:3451% of the snaps. He was efficient as a
19:36runner, 16 for 72. The problem is
19:38there's there's there's no touchdown
19:40equity in this offense whatsoever. They
19:43have one in two weeks. It was a long
19:45chew uh excuse me, Brian Robin Pan
19:46Robinson screen pass that went the
19:48distance. Uh Kyle Pittz is on the
19:50Colston Lovelin plant. He improved from
19:52zero points in week one to one catch for
19:5515 yards in week two. And then Drake
19:58London who was a little better. Sure, a
20:00little better. But I mentioned this last
20:01week during our preview show. Can you
20:03really really trust any Falcons pass
20:05catcher with Cooper Rush once again? If
20:08you're like, "Well, it got better for
20:09Drake London. I got a whole 8.9 fantasy
20:11points." You didn't take Drake London as
20:13potentially wide receiver 789 or 10 to
20:16feel good about 8.9 fantasy points. We
20:18need a new quarterback stat. Mike
20:21mentioned it. They play Thursday night.
20:22There is some indication that it could
20:24be Michael Penn Jr. on the field. And I
20:27like Pennix. I think he's a very
20:28talented thrower. And I can promise you
20:30it can't get worse than what they have
20:32thrown out there the past two Sundays.
20:34>> Mhm. Yeah. Nothing more to add.
20:35>> Uh let's go move ahead now to Did I skip
20:38a page? Okay. Broncos and That's right.
20:40We have the Oh, no. Browns. Browns
20:41Buccaneers. My bad, Mike. That's me.
20:43>> Yes. This game was ended this morning
20:45after several weather delays.
20:46>> I know that was wild. Uh, Browns with
20:48the upset 2019. You know, do you ever
20:50have a thought in your head about
20:51football and you're too afraid to say it
20:53publicly, so you just seem really text?
Browns vs. Bucs
20:56Yeah,
20:56>> I watched the film of Deshun Watson
20:58after week one and I texted those guys
20:59and said, "I'm not going to lie, he
21:01didn't play that bad. I mean, he was
21:02pressured over half the time. It was
21:04rough, but he made some good throws. He
21:06didn't make a He made a couple
21:07mistakes."
21:08>> And then he goes into week two and plays
21:10like that. It was much It was really
21:11good. Incredible. He was He played
21:13really well. 24 of 30, 238 yards, two
21:15touchdowns in this game. also led the
21:17team with 22 rushing yards as well. So,
21:20not saying he's back or anything, but I
21:21think he at least saved his job for
21:23>> He's not getting pulled.
21:24>> Not right now. Not Not right now. Not
21:26after you played like that. I think he's
21:27off to a much better start than uh the
21:29the public might want you to think. So,
21:31um we'll see how that goes moving
21:32forward. They're back home uh this week,
21:34but I point you in the right direction.
21:35Not not making a waiver claim unless
21:37it's super flex, but you know, we'll
21:38monitor this one. Um the other part of
21:41this is the guy he was throwing to
21:43Denzel Boston is clearly established as
21:45a number one wide receiver in this
21:47offense. Uh seven target of the snaps.
21:50>> Yeah. Yeah. He's the only one he's the
21:52only one that was over 70%. They're
21:53rotating the other guys. Uh five
21:55catches, 95 yards, and a touchdown. Also
21:57scored in week one. That was garbage
21:58time. This one was certainly more legit
22:00in a competitive game. He is the one
22:01there. He should be rostered. Bless you.
22:03Field in all uh fantasy leagues right
22:06now for sure. Uh, on the other hand, we
22:09have the guys that are disappointing
22:11here. Quinn Sean Judkins, 12 carries, 21
22:13yards. They can't they can't block. They
22:14can't block for watch.
22:15>> My concern, right?
22:16>> They can't run block.
22:16>> I will say silver lining and it's a very
22:18very thin silver lining. He at least saw
22:21five targets, right? There was some
22:22action in the in the passing game for
22:24him. Something we did not necessarily
22:26anticipate heading into.
22:27>> Yeah, no doubt. Uh, certainly helps that
22:29know Dylan Samson will be out for a
22:30little while longer, but Judkins to play
22:3269% of the snaps. Nothing on the ground
22:34but to your point 7.7 points in the
22:36passing game. Conpsion Harold Fannon
22:39fine usage in this one. Conpsion six for
22:4128 and Fannon five for 54. It's a point
22:44in the right direction for Fannon. He's
22:46flirting with the top 12 but you don't
22:48have to start.
22:49>> Six points better than his four fantasy
22:51point debut. And we
22:52>> ugly Jerry Judy could drop him.
22:54Hopefully he gets traded at some point.
22:55>> Can I just give you a quick Harold
22:57Phantom Jr. thought is sometimes when we
22:59think about like future years and when
23:00you're trying to categorize bus it feels
23:02like the way to sort of lean towards is
23:04like who had like top one percentile
23:06outcomes the prior season and in some
23:08ways Harold Fannon Jr. had like
23:09basically top one percentile outcome,
23:11right? The offense was so bad and the
23:13offensive line was so bad that there was
23:15nothing to do besides get the ball out
23:16quick. They were constantly playing from
23:18behind.
23:19>> Harold Fanner Jr. got a million designed
23:21targets late in the season.
23:23>> Not the same this year. A much more
23:25aggressive and not
23:27>> electric, but more competent offense in
23:29the first two weeks of the season.
23:30>> Yeah, if you I mean, if you get a 20%
23:32target share and get carries too,
23:34including at the goal line, that's going
23:35to be mean a lot at the tight end
23:36position. So, I'm still confident he
23:38could get back back into that
23:39conversation. A lot's going to have to
23:41do with how well Deshun Watson plays
23:42moving forward.
23:43>> Just saying like there was a point last
23:44year where it was like, wow, was like
23:45Harold Fannon Jr. the next man up behind
23:47Brock Bowers and Trey McBride.
23:49>> Not so fast. Use your expression from
23:52earlier. Uh, all right. Buccaneers side,
23:54not a lot to report here, uh, except
23:56that Bucky Irving has reestablished
23:58himself as the clear number one. There's
24:00a lot of offseason chatter that, hey,
24:02they paid Kenny Gainwell a lot of money.
24:03He's the one. No, he's not. Uh, it's
24:05Bucky Irving. 48 snaps in this game. Can
24:07he gain well? 23. Shawn Tucker back from
24:09injury. Zero. So, he's not a factor in
24:11the offense at this point. That's huge
24:13for Irving uh to generate some goal line
24:15work. 90 yards and 21 touches for Bucky
24:17Irving. He's a lineup block right now as
24:20an RB2. Uh and then uh as for the
24:23passing game, again, very disappointing
24:25at home against this Cleveland defense.
24:27It isn't isn't quite as good as it was
24:28in years past, but no Bucks over 49
24:31receiving yards. Fortunately, if you
24:32have a Mecha Ibuka bailed out by that
24:34touchdown, uh just three catches for 16
24:37yards on five targets in this game. Ted
24:40Hurst, Kate, they all had more targets
24:42than Ibuka in this game. Still confident
24:44in his talent moving forward and in
24:46Baker Mayfield, but that was a
24:47disappointing effort from this offense.
24:49>> He's one of the early season bust as
24:50well as Amecha Ibuka. He has not been
24:52good through two weeks. Not nearly as
24:53good as we had hoped for. Anything you
24:55want to add on that game, Liz?
24:56>> I don't think so. I think Mike covered
24:58it all. uh three sacks for Baker
25:00Mayfield which was a little bit
25:01concerning as well.
25:02>> Uh they have a lot of questions to
25:04answer right now down in Tampa Bay.
25:06Let's move to a game that I think has
25:07one of the more important revelations
25:09from the weekend. It's Saints at
25:11Baltimore or the Saints get a huge win
25:1324-17. A crazy end of game sequence
25:16there where Tyler Shuck eventually does
25:18score on a 6inch touchdown run. Uh
25:22Baltimore gonna keep let's start there
25:23just because like Derrick Henry I know
Saints vs. Ravens
25:25the stats been going around four second
25:27half rushing attempts or something like
25:29that for Derrick Henry
25:31>> the game all of a sudden became more
25:32competitive they were playing either
25:34with a lead or a big lead. It should
25:37have he should have been playing more
25:38period. End of story. But it's not the
25:40first time we've seen this from Derrick
25:41Henry. He actually had three catches
25:43yesterday which is a huge number from
25:44him. He's fine. Lamar Jackson ends up
25:47with under 15 fantasy points. Lamar came
25:49out hot yesterday. Hey, this offense
25:51came out hot yesterday. This is going to
25:53be one of those games that I think
25:54lights a fire under the booty of the
25:56Ravens. They're way too good to be this
25:58this bad on offense as they were in the
26:00second half and really second quarter
26:02on. Uh the question was who could step
26:04up for Zay Flowers? The answer is Rod
26:06Bait. We have our answer until Z Flowers
26:08is back and they're traveling to Brazil
26:10for a game. I don't know when they're
26:12leaving. I'm gonna guess this is not
26:15like the ners who left a week in advance
26:17of their game in Australia, but they're
26:19probably also not going to go the Rams
26:20route where they show up like an hour
26:22before kickoff. Um, we'll see whether
26:24Zay Flowers makes the trip down there.
26:26He did practice on Friday. Rashad
26:27Baitman, 91% of the snaps, nine of Lamar
26:32Jackson's 31 passing attempts were
26:34targets for Rashad Baitman. Seven for 88
26:37and a touchdown. I understand he's been
26:39very disappointment. Very disappointing.
26:42Yeah,
26:42>> he's also a former first round pick who
26:44has been extended
26:44>> under 30 pick like an early Yes. And I I
26:48agree with you.
26:49>> Two extensions from Baltimore in his
26:50career, right? None of one of them were
26:52big bank breakers, but still like this
26:54team has shown a level of commitment to
26:56Rashad B.
26:56>> Yeah. And we've talked about how they
26:58can't really support multiple wide
27:00receivers in this offense and Z Flowers
27:02hasn't missed games in a while. So now,
27:05you know, it what we learned here, I
27:06think, is that one guy
27:08>> can establish himself as the top guy.
27:10And in this case, it's, you know, used
27:11to be Hollywood Brown and, you know,
27:13obviously it's been Z Flowers. Maybe
27:14it's Baitman until Flowers.
27:16>> I left him on my bench and didn't like
27:17it.
27:17>> Let's talk Saints. Uh, moment of
27:19appreciation for Tyler Shuck first
27:21backto-back games with over 22 fantasy
27:24points. Got in the end zone as a runner,
27:26as I mentioned, to win the game. 37% of
27:29his fantasy points from the weekend came
27:31as a runner for Tyler Shuck. Enough
27:33mobility to be very frisky and
27:35dangerous. They play the Raiders next
27:37weekend. I'm sure we'll be talking about
27:38Chuck. Chris Olive, what an amazing
27:40player he is. A joy to watch him week in
27:42and week out. 22.6 fantasy points, but I
27:45am going to serve up what I think might
27:48be the most confusing deployment of
27:50backs in the league, right?
27:50>> I know. I don't get it.
27:51>> I I have a hard time figuring this one
27:53out. It felt It's going to It felt to
27:55me, now I'm sure there are Saints fans
27:57that can correct me if this is wrong. It
27:59felt to me like all off season the
28:01Saints were trying to navigate the exit
28:04ramp for Alvin Chimera. They wanted to
28:06do so in a way that was, I think,
28:07cordial to a franchise legend. Instead,
28:10they eventually get a deal done with
28:12Alvin Camra to keep him around after
28:14signing Travis Achan to a 4-year 48
28:17million dollar contract. Travis Achan,
28:20after playing 58% of the snaps in week
28:22one, dropped down to 43.8 snaps in week
28:25two. He had just two targets. Remember,
28:27last week he had seven catches. He had
28:29eight rushes to Alvin Chimera's nine.
28:32Chimera averaged a mere 1.6 six yards
28:35per carry yesterday and is still playing
28:3725% of the snaps with CJ Donaldson
28:40playing 23.4% of the snaps. I would say
28:43that Achan and Chimera are amongst the
28:45most established and prolific receiving
28:48backs the league has seen over the past
28:49decade, especially of course Chimera.
28:52Donaldson's playing where they're
28:53playing hurry up snaps.
28:54>> Yeah, I I have no idea. But this
28:57backfield, which I thought that HN had
28:58the chance to be one of those boring
29:00RB2s that by the end of the year has
29:02graduated to backend RB1s. This
29:05backfield going into week three feels to
29:07me like a stayaway. A dead zone. Yeah,
29:09>> it is a dead zone. And also, I think we
29:11have to mention that Kamar was not
29:12particularly effective with his targets.
29:14He managed one more receiving yard than
29:17he did looks. Yeah, that's not great.
29:19>> Five receptions for seven receiving
29:20yards was the final number here for
29:22Alvin Chimera. So, I thought this was
29:24going to be the Travis Achan show. I was
29:26following the money. Like if the Saints
29:28felt this confident, Alvin Chimera and
29:30TJ Donaldson, who is an undrafted free
29:32agent, but like Kendrick Miller, who
29:34they liked enough to play him last week,
29:35was a healthy SC. I just um I don't get
29:38it.
29:38>> I haven't figured it out. It's basically
29:39my take. Like I just don't understand
29:41the logic behind it. By the way,
29:43Donaldson played 14 special team snaps
29:45as well. I mean, in the 20 offensive
29:47snaps, I mean, they're featuring this
29:48guy as a team. They love him. I don't
29:51I'm It's shocking.
29:52>> I get like I It's It's a very cool
29:54development story. It's a great find by
29:56them as a college apartment.
29:58>> Great on that part. Yeah.
29:59>> But man, like it's some what why four
30:02for 48 million? Four for 48 million for
30:05Travis Achan. Like the the message
30:07you're sending with that is we feel like
30:10we have a gigantic need to add a feature
30:12back and we think this guy is the truth.
30:14>> And then now they're saying actually
30:16he's not that good.
30:17>> Like what what are the strengths we like
30:18that of him? Like he's not the lead
30:20runner in terms of attempts. He's
30:22certainly not going to play all of the
30:23passing down snaps because Alvin Chimera
30:25has got six targets to HN's two
30:27>> without carried and out targeted.
30:28>> Like what's the value? Like in his day
30:30could have been slightly salvaged. There
30:31was at the end of the game there was a a
30:34penalty on a one-yard touchdown run that
30:35HN had called back. But still like this
30:38one went from potentially promising in
30:41the preseason to potentially completely
30:44useless all the way around.
30:46>> I think what's more frustrating than
30:47that is that they just pulled off this
30:48big upset. So there's no actionable
30:51reason to change anything.
30:53>> They won't change.
30:53>> Not at the moment.
30:54>> Yeah. Um I have a question. How good is
30:56Tyler Chuck?
30:57>> Where do you think he's going to settle
30:58in? He's a top 15 quarterback. Top 10
31:01top.
31:01>> Real life or fantasy?
31:02>> Yeah.
31:02>> Real life. Like how good how how legit
31:04is this football player?
31:06>> Yeah.
31:06>> Is he the Mendoza line?
31:08>> He He might be pushing into the Mendoza
31:10line. I mean Yeah.
31:11>> Good. He has his moments. They They have
31:13to They have to figure it out early in
31:14games.
31:15>> Who was the Mendoza line? Kyler Murray.
31:16For a long time it was
31:17>> Andy. I think Andy Dalton.
31:20>> Yeah, that was one. Yeah. Yeah, he I
31:22don't He might be better than the
31:22Mendoza line. The way he's playing so
31:24far this year.
31:24>> Yeah, he is playing well. All right,
31:25Mike, I'm gonna pass it uh No, to Liz
31:28for the uh the battle of the green
31:30uniforms. Jets and the Packers. Nearly a
31:32tie. A win for the Packers.
31:35>> Another NFC North matchup here.
31:39>> Packers ultimately win this one. Let's
31:42start with Jordan Love. He tossed two
31:43touchdowns obviously as you can see in
31:45this one. one to Marshon Lloyd with
31:48about 10 minutes left in the half and
31:50then his second not until about seven
Packers vs. Jets
31:54minutes left in the fourth quarter to
31:55Christian Watson. I actually breathed
31:58quite a sigh of relief seeing Christian
31:59Watson have his day saved with that
32:02touchdown. Uh Jordan Love only completed
32:0452% of his passes. There was rain in
32:08this game as well. So we can attribute
32:10some of that
32:10>> and an underrated defense I would say.
32:12>> And an underrated defense is an
32:13excellent point. Um, I think for me the
32:16bigger story is Green Bay's backfield
32:18from a fantasy perspective because we've
32:20got Caleb Johnson, Marshon Lloyd, Chris
32:22Brooks accounting for 63 total rushing
32:26yards on 18 combined carries,
32:29>> guys. That's less than inspiring.
32:30>> No, this is a stayaway. Like I I'm not
32:33trying to be redundant, but I think
32:35after two weeks, we have already
32:37stockpiled
32:38close to a half a dozen stayaway
32:40backfields.
32:41>> It's not Halloween, though. I don't want
32:42dead zones. I want live zones. is it's
32:44pumpkin spice season almost.
32:46>> We'll make sure. Listen, we they started
32:47pumping out Halloween candy in August
32:49here. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.
32:51Don't get me started.
32:51>> I think the only thing we learned is
32:52that when Josh Jacobs returns at some
32:54point, which we expect he will be the
32:56clear feature back again. No one is
32:57stealing like a buoy this entire
33:00offense.
33:01>> He will be a very very busy back will
33:03Josh Jacobs once he gets back. Um stay
33:05away from the running backs. I'm I'm
33:07gonna reserve the right to change this
33:10stance because they play Atlanta on
33:12Thursday night at home.
33:14very disheartened by the first two weeks
33:15of the Green Bay Packers offense. Yeah,
33:18Christian Watson aside, you guys know
33:19that's my guy. But besides that, it's
33:22been disappointing. I thought this could
33:23be an offense that went nuclear. It has
33:26not been the case through two years.
33:27>> I think there was also the assumption
33:28that with the backfield affected so
33:30terribly by Jacob's absence that there
33:32would be more funneled through the air
33:34and we'd have obviously with also the
33:36number of looks vacated, some more
33:38clarity. I do think we have the clarity
33:40in that Matthew Golden is going to get
33:42fed. He may not be effective, but he's
33:44going to get fed. And Christian Watson
33:46remains the highest ceiling option for
33:49two weeks in a row now.
33:49>> Yeah, we should mention too, Jaden Reed
33:51serious injury in this one. Probably
33:52going to be out for a little while.
33:53We'll keep an eye on that. Hopefully
33:54he's able to return.
33:55>> A neck injury. He does, I think it's
33:56worth saying, also did have um feeling
33:58in his extremities and movement in the
34:00>> Hope he'll be back soon. By the way,
34:01turns out recovering from a knee injury.
34:03Might take a little time. Tucker Craft
34:04slow out of the gates here. Had a couple
34:06splash plays in week one, not enough to
34:08be super fantasy relevant. and then just
34:09two for 15 in this one despite playing
34:12he ran 25 routes so it was right up
34:13there% of the snaps.
34:14>> Yeah, he played a lot but it wasn't
34:16happening yet. So it might take a little
34:17time for him to get rolling, but uh at
34:18some point he
34:19>> Here's the thing about people that argue
34:20with Mike on the internet.
34:21>> Some are right. Some are
34:23>> sometimes I go off like vibes, right?
34:25Like some I'm I'm not afraid to to admit
34:27that like sometimes it's just a gut call
34:29that leads me down a path to fantasy
34:30football.
34:31>> Mike will make an argument. Well, I know
34:33but but Mike when you argue with Mike,
34:35it's literally arguing against like a
34:37formula. It's like arguing against
34:38science. It's like arguing against the
34:40computer. Like everything that Mike says
34:41is incredibly well thought out and
34:44reasoned and pragmatic. People get so
34:46got so mad about Mike's stance on Tucker
34:48Craft. And it's like two weeks in it's
34:50like, hey, he's an awesome player. He
34:52might I think he's the highest paid
34:53tight end ever now. It's great, but Mike
34:56was not doing so because he has a
34:57personal issue with Tucker.
34:58>> Exactly. It was just here's why
35:00>> lead you down the path. Here's why he
35:02could bust and we're seeing it so far,
35:03but a long way to go. Um, the good news
35:06on the Jets, we can be extremely quick
35:07here, Liz, is that
35:08>> I feel like you just know what you're
35:10going to get. It's two guys.
35:11>> Well, it is two guys though because over
35:13the summer, right, right?
35:16>> Here at Wilson remains the team's alpha,
35:18right? He is the number one, but there
35:20is room for AD Mitchell and over the
35:21summer there was a drum beat on Mitchell
35:23and I think all of us were like, I don't
35:25know, is Gino going to be able to
35:26support two wide receivers? Gino has, by
35:28the way, proved to be fairly stable. We
35:31don't really we didn't really like his
35:32effort this time. Oh, there's a The
35:34reason we're all angry is because the
35:36Jets should win a game against really.
35:38Okay, that's amazing process. Should I
35:39>> I don't I think you could Can you say
35:41that word? Because Tom Brady said it on
35:42TV yesterday. Dismissal.
35:44>> That was hilarious.
35:46>> We'll get to that. We'll get to Well, we
35:48already talked about that game. Um, but
35:49yes, uh, Wilson had the most productive
35:52outing of a most productive fantasy day.
35:54He was out targeted by AD Mitchell.
35:56Mitchell drew 12 looks. He earned a
35:58target share of nearly 30%. His longest
36:01gain though, only 15 yards. Obviously,
36:02these numbers are a little bit inflated
36:04because the game went into overtime, but
36:06I am happy that the offseason drum beat
36:09is in fact finding a rhythm and is
36:11legitimate. I think both of these uh
36:13both of these receivers could see hefty
36:15volume again as the uh Jets are
36:18seven-point road dogs against Detroit in
36:20week three.
36:21>> Oh, good good secondary for Garrett
36:23Wilson to pick on. That's that's one of
36:24my most invested players this year. So,
36:26>> we talk about
36:28he he is what he is, right? Right. He's
36:30just a solid RB2 that's an excellent
36:31pass catcher. He had some explosive
36:33plays. Let's get to the Patriots playing
36:34host to the Steelers. The Patriots win
36:3620 to3. Wasn't because of the offense.
36:39Let's do the Steelers though quickly. Uh
36:41Jaylen Warren plays 72% of the snaps as
36:43Rico D gets banged up. Do you guys know
Steelers vs. Patriots
36:45what it was?
36:47>> Uh what was it? I I don't but I
36:48apologize for it was he came back in and
36:50then they ruled him out. So I this does
36:52not seem major.
36:53>> Doesn't seem major, but Jaylen Warren
36:55had a massively inflated snapshare as a
36:57result of it. They were also getting
36:58toasted in this game. I think DK Medaf,
37:01like the rapport between he and Aaron
37:02Rogers wasn't great last year. It's
37:04still not great this year. I also think
37:06that DK got Gonzalez yesterday.
37:09Christian Gonzalez obviously one of the
37:10best corners in the NFL. Had plenty of
37:12snaps lined up opposite of DK Medaf.
37:15Jeremy Bernard had eight targets for the
37:17Steelers. I would file that under the
37:19monitoring for super deep league
37:21category more than anything else. But I
37:23don't really want any part of the
37:25Steelers offense right now. They're
37:26dreadful. Aaron Rogers has some
37:28interesting comments after the game.
37:30Aaron Rogers got absolutely jacked up
37:32yesterday on a a sack. Like the Patriots
37:35defense was probably the best unit on
37:37the field. So, I'm not going to say much
37:38more on the Steelers unless you guys
37:40have something you really want to add.
37:42You know you got jacked up when it's
37:43like you're in field goal range and it's
37:45third and whatever, third and five,
37:47third and 10, whatever it was, and then
37:48the next play it's fourth and 45 because
37:50you got hit that hard. The ball went all
37:51the way back down the other side of the
37:53field. So, let's get to the Patriots
37:55because there are a few interesting
37:56things there. Let's let's begin with the
37:59nonAJ Brown wide receivers yesterday.
38:02The wide receiver that played the most
38:04snaps was M. Collins, nearly 70%. He
38:06also ran the most most routes, 21 to
38:08Romeo Dobs, 20. Romeo Dobs had the most
38:12targets out of all of the wide receivers
38:14with four. He turned that into three
38:15catches for 96 yards. Much of that
38:18coming on one big play. Patriots have
38:20had a difficult schedule against
38:22defenses out of the gates. They play
38:23Jacksonville and Buffalo over the next
38:25two weeks. I'm not sure it gets a whole
38:26lot easier this upcoming Sunday. Drake
38:29May has been bad. Eight fantasy points.
38:31Like Drake May, we'll talk about him
38:32more throughout the week. You can't tell
38:34me that guy is an absolute lock to be
38:36inside your top 10 for quarterbacks for
38:38week three.
38:39>> But I don't So the
38:41>> Drake not playing as well, the targets
38:43not being that significant, and a lot of
38:45Romeo Dobs production coming on one
38:47play. I'm not convinced that just
38:48because he led the team in fantasy
38:50points this past weekend amongst pass
38:51catchers that Romeo Dobs has now
38:53convinced me he deserves to be a flex.
38:55It's a possible it's a possibility that
38:56we're back to where we were
38:58>> a couple years ago where there's no
39:00Patriots wide receiver that you want to
39:02have inside your lineup. Anybody have
39:04any stronger opinion on the Patriots
39:05wide receivers before?
39:06>> No, I agree. I think Dobs is the closest
39:08to a flex. Um and the thing I'd say on
39:10May though is we had him as a bench
39:12weeks one and two. So this isn't
39:13shocking. This was a tough schedule.
39:15He's now played what? Seven straight
39:16games. six straight games against really
39:18good defenses and hasn't performed well.
39:20So, this is something we're have to
39:21>> failed to throw a touchdown.
39:22>> Yeah,
39:23>> a single touchdown.
39:24>> I think he had one in week one.
39:25>> Did he ever win
39:26>> against Eli Raren for the first
39:28touchdown of the season, but yes, I mean
39:29it has not been good for the Patriots
39:31offense.
39:31>> We'll see when the matchups lighten up
39:32if it's a moderate.
39:34>> Seems like a lot of excusing, Mike.
39:36>> I'm just saying it's
39:37>> I mean, he was ranked as a top six
39:39quarterback for fantasy purposes heading
39:41into this season. We're going to bench
39:42that guy for two weeks. We maybe I back
39:46him back weeks.
39:47>> I didn't draft him. I don't have any
39:48shares of him, but like
39:48>> I don't in season long either.
39:50>> I have I've benched him in in both of
39:51the leagues that I have him. Or sorry, I
39:53have I have him one league. I've benched
39:54him back toback weeks. I'll have a
39:56conversation this upcoming week.
39:57Although the other quarterback is
39:58Patrick Mahomes. Who is it?
40:00>> Uh Jacksonville.
40:01>> Jacksonville.
40:01>> In Jacksonville. But let's talk about
40:02the most interesting thing for the
40:03Patriots in fantasy this weekend. Except
40:05for if you roster Randre Stevenson. He
40:08played 36% of the snaps to 60.4 to
40:10Trayvon Henderson. Why? Well, Raandre
40:12Stevenson put the ball on the ground. He
40:14has been the most fumbleprone running
40:16back in the NFL. And here's the
40:18fundamental question we have to ask. He
40:20fumbles early. He does not get totally
40:22sent to the bench, but his role
40:24dramatically decreased. Is this going to
40:26be what we see pretty often and actually
40:29pretty often for RA Stevenson where he
40:31kind of gets put in timeout for the rest
40:33of the game, but the next week he's back
40:35on the field when the Patriots take the
40:37field.
40:37>> I feel like I'm a lot.
40:39>> That's my guess. No, I think Ramand I
40:41believe that based off everything the
40:43Patriots have talked about all off
40:44season and some of the areas that
40:46despite the brilliance of Trayvon
40:48Henderson as an explosive runner, still
40:50not going to be the guy they want pass
40:52protecting, there's going to be so many
40:54small things that Raandre Stevenson
40:55does. I do think that Randre Stevenson
40:58will be on the field when the Patriots
41:00begin the game next Sunday. What I don't
41:03think is going to happen though is that
41:04Raandre Stevenson is going to play the
41:0670 to 75% snap share that we saw at
41:08times in the playoffs last year. Tayvon
41:11looked great on that one long run. Super
41:13explosive player that
41:15>> nothing in the passing game. He did have
41:1616 carries for 76 yards, but again, most
41:18of that came on one play. So, buyer
41:20beware on that one, especially if
41:22Stevenson does start again next year.
41:23>> I just want to say I agree with Field on
41:24the Pass Pro and that's why I've had
41:26Reandre Stevenson aggressively ranked
41:28much more than the consensus. But we
41:30also saw Drake May take three sacks.
41:32>> Uh 15 for 35 carries on that. Uh 15
41:35carries for 35 yards for Tayvon in the
41:38non-touchdown run. Uh Mike, let's get to
41:40the Seahawks and the Cardinals. The
41:42Seahawks,
41:43>> what what a professional outfit they
41:45are. 31-7.
41:47They wax the Arizona Cardinals and oh my
Seahawks vs. Cardinals
41:50god, Jackson Smith and Jigba.
41:52>> Yeah, seriously. Uh Sam Darnold must
41:54have played well, right, if they
41:55dominate. No, they just go to their
41:56backup quarterback and still crush
41:58Arizona, who I guess this actually makes
42:00the Chargers look worse after, oh man,
42:03the Cardinals just beat them pretty
42:04handily. Uh, yeah, Lock was solid. Uh,
42:07three touchdowns in this game, but to
42:09your point, JSN uh did work in this one.
42:11Nine for 11, 155 yards, and three
42:14touchdowns. He does it again. The guy is
42:16just an absolute superstar on another
42:18level. now leads the NFL in target share
42:21through two weeks with a 44% target
42:24share, which is an obscene number. Do
42:26you have a second in that, by the way?
42:27Did we get to this team yet?
42:28>> We haven't gotten there yet. We'll save
42:29it when we do a couple moment for a
42:31little bit. Um,
42:32>> yeah. So, uh, JSN, good. Uh, on the
42:35Seattle side as well. Jarian Price left
42:37this game with a chest injury. Uh, 13
42:40carries for 52 yards, one catch for
42:42eight yards, wasn't doing much damage.
42:44We saw a lot more Emanuel Wilson. He was
42:47the one that was rotating with Jarian
42:48Price throughout this game. Once Price
42:50left, then we started to see some George
42:52Hani, but he was phased out. It was
42:53Emanuel Wilson. If Price is going to
42:55miss a game, we'll keep an eye on this
42:57one. Wilson would be the ad in fantasy
43:00and should see a ton of rushing volume.
43:02He had 21 carries for 92 yards in this
43:03game.
43:04>> I just want to add one thing about
43:05Emanuel Wilson and Jadarian Price. This
43:07is a red flag for Jadarian Price. Before
43:09he got hurt, the Seahawks had three
43:12straight carries from the four yardd
43:14line and in. They went from the four to
43:16the two to the one. All of them went to
43:19Emanuel Wilson. He is their goal line
43:20back right now. That is very concerning
43:22for Jadarian Price's upside. Uh agreed.
43:25No doubt about it. Uh Arizona side of
43:27this one. Uh I we thought coming into
43:29the season.
43:30>> Yeah, we thought it come Well, hold on.
43:32First of all, I'm going to start with
43:32the running backs. Coming into the
43:33season, I thought
43:35>> I I you know me. I mean, yes, Marvin
43:38Harrison would be the story line, but
43:39for me it's Jeremiah Love. Um I thought
43:41he would get off to a slow start. A
43:42little slower than I would have hoped.
43:4360 64% of the snaps for Tyler Algier,
43:4640% for Jeremiah Love. I wish they would
43:49feed this guy more. He did lead them in
43:51carries with nine only at 29 yards, had
43:53three targets, only 16 yards. So, we
43:55haven't seen that big explosive play
43:56from him yet. I'm hoping it's coming,
43:58but for now, he's fallen down to the
44:00fringe RB2. More of a flex play at this
44:02point. Tyler Algier, obviously not
44:04startable. Um, kind of hoham for Trey
44:06McBride. Eight for 41 and a touchdown.
44:09>> That's it.
44:09>> That's hoham for him. Yeah,
44:10>> that's over for It's over for
44:12>> Yeah. Marvin Iris. It's You're exactly
44:14right.
44:15>> Traded, right?
44:16>> I don't know. At some point, maybe not
44:17this year. I don't know. Uh 26 routes in
44:19this game, one target, zero catches. He
44:22has that 33 yard catch this season.
44:23That's it. That's all he got. He's going
44:25to have a game at some point. Maybe
44:26soon, maybe week three. We'll see. Or
44:28he's going to have, you know, seven for
44:3062 and a touchdown. And we're going to
44:31say, "Yeah, that's the guy that they
44:32drafted and we believe it's it's not
44:34that's not it." All right. Like there's
44:36too much of a sample size. 31 games
44:38where he's got four of his 31 games. 13%
44:41of the time, zero catches.
44:43>> Yeah, I will say this. No Cardinal other
44:46than McBride got to 20 yards in this
44:48game. So, it was a disaster against
44:49Seattle. Uh but their schedule's tough,
44:52so I'm not sure it's going to be
44:52substantially better going forward. Uh
44:54it's not as tough as the Chargers who
44:55are now 0 and2 and staring down the
44:57barrel of a gauntlet. What a pathetic
44:59effort this was. I'm so impressed by the
Raiders vs. Chargers
45:01Raiders. 26 to4ers
45:04does matter. Clint Kubak goes out there
45:06and helps out in a major way. Uh for the
45:09Raiders, not a lot of takeaways, right?
45:11Because there's only two guys that we
45:12really care about for fantasy. Ashton
45:14Genty, who was fine yesterday. Really
45:17good snap percentage, 82% inefficient as
45:20a runner, 21 for 48. He dropped three
45:23passes, but he had seven targets. That's
45:25good. I actually thought that Genty made
45:26the case for those that like a little
45:28bit skeptical on Genty coming into the
45:30season was he's an amazing player. He's
45:33going to play a good amount of snaps,
45:34maybe a very good amount of snaps, but I
45:37am a little concerned that this
45:38offensive line is better, but not that
45:39much better. Right. Yesterday maybe
45:41helped make that case. They've got to
45:43like
45:44>> week one was not the right matchup to
45:45decide whether this offense is all the
45:47way back, but one game is not enough to
45:49decide whether this offense is all the
45:50way back to where it was prior to week
45:52one. Uh but we'll have a better snapshot
45:55of them in future weeks by the Saints
45:56this upcoming week. But let's talk about
45:58the Chargers, guys.
45:58>> Wait, real quick. Can we just for
46:00anomaly sake point out that Kirk Cousins
46:02has scored three touchdowns, has thrown
46:04three touchdowns in back-to-back weeks.
46:06He has six touchdowns on the season.
46:07>> Yeah, the that's good for the Raiders,
46:09but not good for us wanting to see
46:10Fernando Mendoza because that's been
46:12bumped down the road a little.
46:13>> Say if you want to see more piss
46:14missiles thrown on Sunday, you want
46:16Fernando Mendoza on the field. Let's
46:18talk about the Chargers, though. And uh
46:20it's a great term. I'm so mad. It's so
46:22pathetic. I I like
46:24>> one of the questions we'll be discussing
46:25on first draft later today is what's
46:26wrong with the Chargers offense? My
46:28response is what's right? What is right
46:29right now? Are you kidding me? Like what
46:31are they doing well? Like this is just
46:32an awful effort. Every player that you
46:34could count on, you're saying to
46:35yourself like, oh yeah, like maybe Joe
46:38Alt will be back to being all pro Joe
46:39Alt. Three full starts yesterday, a hold
46:41in the end zone. Justin Herbert, hello.
46:4315 for 27. Yeah. And you can point out a
46:46couple plays where guys drop passes.
46:47Like at some point there are certain
46:49quarterbacks that we just continue to
46:50make excuses for and there are others
46:52that we don't. Right. Yeah. Justin
46:54Herbert, no more excuses. flat out not
46:57good enough. Gigantic bust. It's driving
46:59me up a wall right now. All the pass
47:01catchers are are Lad Mcconi was hurt
47:04yesterday. He played only 45% of the
47:06snaps, but he was under 50% in week one
47:08as well. Lad's a top 20-ish wide
47:11receiver. I thought Amarian Hampton was
47:14fine yesterday. Not great. 17 and a half
47:16fantasy points.
47:17>> He's it though.
47:18>> Under four yard, maybe just over four
47:19yards for carry. But even Hampton feels
47:21like one of those guys that's
47:22underwhelmed through two weeks. Like
47:24just this entire offense is bothering
47:26me. They have an absolutely ridiculous
47:28schedule coming up. All the Chargers are
47:30disappointing. Hampton's still going to
47:32be started. Lad McConny will still be on
47:34the fringes.
47:36>> Justin Herbert though, man. Oh my god.
47:37Could not have been more wrong. Wrong
47:39wrong.
47:40>> Can you tell who from Vibes in this room
47:42who was invested in the Chargers
47:43offense?
47:44>> I think a lot of us were excited though,
47:45but he's not mentioning Mike McDaniel.
47:47And I think that that's a giant part of
47:49this problem. And McDaniel's not
47:51scheming for the offensive line talent
47:53that he has. And I will just go off for
47:55a second out of pure frustration as well
47:57and say that
47:58>> we all thought McDaniel sat there and
48:00said, "Oh, I had all these job offers. I
48:02had all these opportunities. I chose Los
48:04Angeles because of Justin Herbert. I
48:06wanted that. I wanted that talent. I
48:08wanted to unlock it. I wanted to get my
48:10hands on it." Well, girl, get your hands
48:11on it.
48:12>> It's awful right now. Well said, Liz,
48:14because it is just incredibly
48:15frustrating. I mean, look at that
48:17schedule. We flashed it on the graphic.
48:18Next seven weeks. Good luck finding a
48:20way to get to even like four and five
48:22for the Los Angeles Chargers.
48:24>> It's been a while since Herbert
48:25Herbert's been like an established QB1
48:27and it looked like he was going to be a
48:28superstar early in his career and it's
48:29been years now.
48:30>> Okay. So, I mean unbelievable.
48:32>> Independent of the fantasy side, Mike,
48:33he doesn't look like QB1 in real life.
48:35>> Oh, no. I agree.
48:36>> But he's not even playing like a top 10
48:38QB. He's playing like a bottom 10 QB
48:39right now.
48:40>> That's shocking.
48:40>> Jaguars go to Denver. Had a big lead and
48:42they coughed it up. Mike, gritty win for
48:44Denver. What did you take away from
48:45that?
Jaguars vs. Broncos
48:46>> Yeah, it was uh pretty impressive. My m
48:48main takeaway is we have a budding
48:50superstar, maybe now an established
48:51superstar, a wide receiver for the
48:53Jacksonville Jaguars here. Parker
48:55Washington is for real. Another huge
48:56game, 12 targets, seven catches, 98
49:00yards. I earlier I teased us this second
49:02in the NFL in target share.
49:04>> Go ahead and guess.
49:05>> Parker Washington. 37% for Washington.
49:09He's a borderline wide receiver one and
49:10he'll be ranked as such going forward by
49:12me at least. Yep. You guys do what you
49:14think is best
49:15>> if you don't want to. I mean, it's
49:17dangerous, but yeah, how can you not? I
49:18agree. He's awesome.
49:20>> Um, running game for this team. Another
49:23good game, another good day day for Bay
49:25Shaw Tuton on the ground. 13 carries, 65
49:28yards, and a touchdown, but still not
49:30much in the passing game, which is
49:31really really limiting him uh in terms
49:33of a breakout potential, three yards,
49:34and two targets. They're using four
49:36running backs still. They're still
49:37working Amir Abdullah into this back
49:39field as well. So, um I'm hesitant to
49:43get too far ahead on Bashal Tuon. still
49:45more of a flex option, I would say. Uh,
49:48and you know what? I'm keeping an eye on
49:49Brian Thomas. Eight targets in this
49:50game. He was busy early in week one
49:52before he got hurt as well. They're
49:54trying to make him the number two here.
49:56>> Uh, but Myers kind of phased out. So,
49:58>> but Jacobe played 89% of the stats.
50:00>> Yeah, but they're just not Yeah, they're
50:02not using him.
50:02>> Brian Thomas Jr., dude, the drops are so
50:05bad. They're trying.
50:06>> Oh my god.
50:08>> Thomas for Harrison trade. Change of
50:10scenes. Honestly, like
50:11>> Oh,
50:11>> we saw um this is super nerdy, but we
50:13saw that Mason Smith trade this off
50:16season where like two teams just swap
50:17second round defensive tackles. I forget
50:19who it was for.
50:20>> Who was that? Oh, man. Atlanta and
50:21Jacksonville, right? Uh
50:23>> Mason Smith went to Atlanta and then
50:25>> who was it? Uh not worth wasting our
50:27time.
50:28>> Yeah, we'll get there.
50:28>> There's a buzzer, guys. That's going to
50:29happen.
50:30>> Yeah, Roorith. There you go.
50:31>> Was it? Anyways, the bottom line is that
50:34so the Jaguars uh Brian Thomas Jr. they
50:37try they're trying to make it happen but
50:38the the drops are just
50:39>> Parker Washington also though a 30 yard
50:4132 yard grab something like that. We
50:43would thought we would have thought that
50:44BTJ would have been the field stretcher
50:47or the more vertical option of the two
50:49of them and so Parker Washington is
50:50doing all of the things.
50:51>> They are trying right now to give Thomas
Dolphins vs. 49ers
50:53a shot.
50:54>> Yes, they are. And and it's not going
50:55great yet but we'll see. Uh Bronco side
50:57Jaylen Wadd is back. No, we we said last
51:00week zero concern about this one and we
51:02are right on that. Eight for 138 on 10
51:04targets. Uh but Courtland Sutton and
51:05another Dud three for 25. They're really
51:07trying to get the ball in the Jaylen W's
51:09hands right now. Dun will have some
51:10games. I'm a little worried about him
51:11being a consistent top 20 option. Maybe
51:14more of a flex for the moment and we're
51:16keeping an eye on a big injury here to
51:18JK Dobbins. Injured his hamstring. We're
51:20going to monitor this throughout the
51:21week. But again, as you'll discuss on
51:23waiverss tomorrow, Jonah Coleman
51:25priority ad. uh had his ups and downs in
51:28this game, but did find the end zone. Uh
51:30so if he's out, it will be Jonah Coleman
51:32and maybe just Tyler Beday because we
51:34don't know if RJ Harvey, who was out for
51:36this game, will be back from injury next
51:38week. So we'll keep an eye on this one.
51:40>> I just want to say some vintage Shawn
51:41Payeyton here with 10 different pass
51:43catchers targeted throughout the effort.
51:44>> No, we don't like that. No, we don't
51:46like that. But at least we got a ton of
51:47Jaylen Wadd. That was great to see.
51:49Let's go to the Dolphins at the 49ers.
51:52We can probably keep it pretty quick on
51:54the Miami side before I tell you where
51:56Mike was wrong. The answer is not
51:58really. Um, for Miami, there's kind of
52:00only one player that we care about for
52:02fantasy week in and week out. It's Devon
52:04Han. Daniel, I think, might be on to
52:06something from last week, right? He was
52:08really frustrated by Devon Achan after
52:10week one. Um, he had six targets, so
52:12he's now got back-to-back games with
52:14five or more targets, does Devon Achan.
52:16That's a serviceable number. And his
52:18rushing efficiency was okay. Not great.
52:21Not not great, but okay. Right. Nearly
52:23four yards per carry. That seems There's
52:26two problems here for Devon A. The elite
52:28rushing efficiency in backto-back games
52:30has not been there. Two, the touchdown
52:32equity is just going to be a whole lot
52:33harder to come by. This team is doing it
52:36the right way. They're taking it all on
52:37the chin this year, but this is easily a
52:39bottom five team in the NFL. Maybe a
52:42bottom two team in the NFL is Miami. I
52:44think Achan has graduated downwards
52:46right from like an RB1 to like probably
52:49RB2c closer to flex territory. That's at
52:51least in my assessment of him at the
52:53moment. For the Niners, I don't know
52:56what Mike was thinking when he was
52:57saying that Brock Purie is in for a
52:58monster day because Brock Pury did have
53:00two incompletions yesterday.
53:01>> Wow, that's embarrassing.
53:02>> Yeah, two uh 20 for 22, 287 yards, two
53:06passing touchdowns, plus three rushes
53:08for 30 yards and a touchdown. 28.5
53:11fantasy points for Brock Pury. The
53:13Dolphins play host to the Chiefs next
53:15week. Crank up on Patrick Mahomes.
53:18>> George KD back too.
53:20>> Yes, George KD had a a big game
53:23yesterday. KD had a long 40-yard catch
53:25and then a touchdown later on. So KD
53:27played 51% of the snaps, turned it into
53:3018 fantasy points. Great to see
53:32Christian McCaffrey played a bigger role
53:34in week two based off snap percentages
53:36in week one. And Kalin Black played less
53:38than Christian McCaffrey, sorry, than he
53:40did in week one as well. Kaylin Black
53:42was down to 29% of the snaps yesterday.
53:44McAffrey finished with nearly 23 fantasy
53:47points. Honestly,
53:49wasn't a perfect day from Christian
53:50McCaffrey. He found the end zone twice.
53:52This is a hard game to read too much
53:54into other because of the fact they
53:55played Miami.
53:56>> I know, but goal line gremlin Christian
53:58McAffrey.
53:59>> We'll take it, right?
54:00>> Well, we will take it, but it is a
54:02little bit weird. I mean, he converted
54:04for all four of his looks for 43
54:05receiving yards, but that is the
54:07Christian McAffrey. is also averaging,
54:08and I know that obviously they were
54:10short runs, so this is a bit skewed, but
54:12under two yards per carry after coming
54:14off of a really inefficient in terms of
54:15rushing season last year, just
54:17>> a little over two yards. Yeah. Uh, by
54:18the way, they played like 55 snaps
54:21yesterday.
54:21>> Yeah, they did. Only 22 pass attempts.
54:23Yeah. Mike Evans left injured, but it
54:25seems like he could have probably came
54:26back in. The game is out of hand.
54:27Demarcus Robinson looks like a high
54:29ankle sprain. He'll be out probably, I
54:31would guess, a month or so. So, uh, but
54:33not a high impact.
54:33>> That Ner's wide receiver room is
54:35thinning out by the moment. Let's get to
54:37the finale of Sunday night, Mike. The
54:39Chiefs overtime. They win uh lastminute
54:42field goal from Harrison Buter to get a
Colts vs. Chiefs
54:4433-30 win. And the word vintage comes to
54:48mind when watching this game last night.
54:50>> Yeah, no doubt about it. Mahomes is back
54:52at least as a passer. Actually, he's
54:53running the ball a little bit as well at
54:5417 yards, but 382 through the air, 32
54:56for 47, three touchdowns, and a great
54:59connection with, to your point, Travis
55:00Kelce. Uh caught nine of 11 targets, 101
55:03yards, and a touchdown. Right. Back in
55:05the tight end one conversation goes
55:06Travis Kelce. Whatever.
55:07>> When you say that, do you mean like
55:08tight end one overall or just
55:11day? I know. I'm just I'm just saying
55:13after last night, he looks freaking
55:14awesome.
55:14>> He looked like the tight end. Yeah, he
55:15looked like the tight end went overall.
55:17>> He looks way faster than he did last
55:19year.
55:19>> Yeah, he does. He said he said he
55:21changed his regimen during the offseason
55:22and he looks
55:23>> He got married, dude. He had to get into
55:24wedding shape.
55:24>> Yeah, he sure did.
55:25>> Wedding shape is different than marriage
55:27shape.
55:28>> But he's in both.
55:29>> I just said that out loud.
55:30>> He's in both shapes. Whatever shape he's
55:32in is good for
55:34>> newly married shape.
55:35>> Yes, he absolutely is.
55:36>> Before you move on, Mike. Yeah.
55:37>> Travis Kelce, not just in whatever shape
55:40we think he's in, but also a man of the
55:42fantasy football people. Take it.
55:44>> Oh, yeah. Okay.
55:45>> On the way out, man. No one cares about
55:47anyone's fantasy football team, but I do
55:49want to tell you that last grab when you
55:50turned it up and got 11 yards on the
55:52catch, you might have helped your boy
55:53win a game by like 0.1. So, I'm
55:56grateful. I owe you. Thank you for that.
55:57Good looking out. All right.
56:01I've been I've been uh I've been a ghost
56:03in the uh in the fantasy football world
56:05for a while. So hopefully I got a few
56:06few people uh some victories tonight.
56:08>> I'm I'm a ball knower. I selected you
56:10with good reason. Hey, do me a favor.
56:11Tell your lovely bride I said hello. Uh
56:13until next time. Stay well. All right.
56:15I'll see you soon.
56:17>> Look at that. That's how you acknowledge
56:18it right there. Travis Kelce, by the
56:20way, hasn't been a ghost. All right.
56:21Like this.
56:22>> But we love a self-aware king.
56:23>> Yes. No doubt.
56:24>> Definitely not. He hasn't been at the
56:25level he used to be for sure. But he was
56:27last night, so that's good. Uh he had 11
56:30targets in second place on the team with
56:3210. Ken Walker III. This guy doing his
56:35best. Christian Mccaffrey impression
56:37here. 24 carries, 117 yards. Also six
56:40catches on for 61 yards in this game.
56:43Their game so far the first couple weeks
56:45of the season has just been Mahomes
56:46drops back short area throws just
56:48setting up. Uh Xavier Worthy uh for him
56:50to make plays with his legs and the same
56:52thing with Ken Walker. So Walker uh very
56:54much in the top five conversation at
56:57running back. Rasheed Rice 83 yards in
56:59this one on six targets. We need a
57:00little bit more from him.
57:02>> He's he's graduated down.
57:03>> Yeah, he's he's gone the wrong way.
57:04Xavier Worthy going the right way. We
57:06thought he might be post hype if he's
57:08healthy and he saw seven targets and
57:09scored a touchdown in this game. Not a
57:11lineup block by any means, but he's
57:12going the right direction. So, Chief's
57:14offense looking awesome right now.
57:17Indianapolis side, you know, Jonathan
57:19Taylor, I mean, what more do you need to
57:20say? 24
57:22and two touchdowns. Also caught four
57:24passes for 40 yards. He's terrific. uh
57:26injury to Alec Pearson in this one. Heel
57:28injury. We'll keep an eye on this one.
57:29He was carded off. Don't love that. Not
57:32much to say on that yet. We'll monitor,
57:34but if he does miss time, Josh Downs,
57:35seven for 72 on nine targets in this
57:38game, was clearly their passing game
57:39along with Tyler Warren who had went six
57:41for 21 and scored another touchdown. He
57:43had a he scored him week one as well for
57:46good start for Tyler Warren. Very
57:47quietly, but the guys just getting the
57:49job done.
57:49>> Yeah. Not a lot of yards per catch there
57:51for Tyler Warren, but if you're going to
57:52see seven targets a game and score in
57:54back-to-back weeks, you're going to find
57:55a way.
57:55>> We got goal line carries, too. This
57:56guy's uh
57:57>> also doing better than Coloulston
57:59Lovelin, who was drafted at the same
58:00point heading into No. Definitely.
58:02They're neither neither one of them is
58:03Dalton Concade, but uh perhaps both of
58:05them can find their way to stick around
58:07that top five tight end range. Um, let's
58:10get to the Monday Night Football game
58:11because we're not going to have a
58:13massive storyline every week for Monday
Giants vs. Rams preview
58:15Night Football, but we got a gigantic
58:17one. And that is the status of Puka
58:19Nakua, who is iffy at best, I would say,
58:21going into this game Monday night. If
58:24it's possible the ship has already
58:25sailed, I've seen a lot of leagues where
58:26Puka is in someone's lineup and there's
58:29nobody left on the bench and the IR spot
58:31is already accounted for by someone
58:33else. If you still have flexibility,
58:35Mike, can you rank the let's call it I'm
58:38trying to think the flex options that
58:40probably are not lineup locks already.
58:43>> Yeah. So, if it's a wide receiver slot,
58:45you're going to go to Darno Mooney or
58:47Malachi Fields, one of the wide
58:48receivers. Uh, if it's a flex, I think I
58:51would lean more towards the Rams tight
58:52ends. Kobe Parkinson, priority one.
58:54Terrence Ferguson, priority two.
58:55Parkinson was the clear number one tight
58:58end for them in week one. I don't know
58:59why that would change this week. Uh he
59:01was good down the stretch last week as
59:02well or last year as well. Sneaky bet
59:04for a touchdown or two in this one for
59:06sure. So that would be my order. If you
59:09have to go deeper than that, it's Devin
59:11Singleary maybe. But again, I'm nervous
59:13about him because what if Naji Harris is
59:14active in this game and takes that role?
59:16So he was the passing down back last
59:18week. That's what I'm looking at. I
59:19don't think you have many other options.
59:21>> How excited are you to watch Isaiah
59:22Leley tonight, Liz?
59:24>> I am moderately excited.
59:25>> Oh, really?
59:26>> I am moderately excited. I am mostly
59:29intrigued because the overunder on this
59:32game is still 47 and a half.
59:34>> Well, the overunder that I kept
59:35remarking on during fantasy focus
59:37countdown yesterday as being low were
59:39too high as it turned out yesterday
59:40because it was a done of a weekend.
59:42Yeah,
59:42>> but that seems I mean the Rams are
59:44favored by six and a half even with
59:47question marks around Pukat. I'm just
59:48surprised that nothing there. There's
59:50not been more movement. Um
59:53>> I think uh Giants are gonna make this a
59:54game. But I also feel like there it
59:57could be a decently high-scoring game
59:58when we and we talked about this on FFC
1:00:00when we look at all of the injuries to
1:00:01the quarterback room in New York.
1:00:03>> So I am just feeling I don't know how
1:00:06it's going to shake out obviously if
1:00:08Puka is not available.
1:00:10>> But I do feel like Shawn McVey coming
1:00:12off of that horrific week one showing
1:00:14and at home is going to have to summon
1:00:17the firepower from somewhere to make
1:00:19this a ball game. And because the
1:00:21matchup is so favorable,
1:00:23>> he's going to find a way to do it. And
1:00:25all that talk about 17 and0 and the best
1:00:27team in the NFL and the Avengers
1:00:30team, he might be back. Yeah. No, no
1:00:32Miles Garrett probably limited Aaron
1:00:34Donald in this one. Uh shapes up for the
1:00:36Giants offense to keep up their momentum
1:00:37from last week. And as you guys know, I
1:00:39was very invested in them. So, I'm I'm
1:00:41excited for this one.
1:00:42>> New regime has a moment to prove that
1:00:44they are real here.
1:00:45>> Yeah, this is a big one. John Harbaugh
1:00:47might get a win in SoFi Stadium before
1:00:49Jim Harbaugh this season.
1:00:50>> Uh the three of us are all picking the
1:00:53Rams to win. The producers though are on
1:00:55the Giants. We'll see if their pivot
1:00:57pays off. That'll do it for our show
1:01:00today. But do not forget tomorrow Liz,
1:01:02me and Daniel are coming back. We are
1:01:04talking week three waiverwire names that
1:01:06you need to know. We'll recap Monday
1:01:08Night Football and anything else that
1:01:10may come up. We are hoping for good news
1:01:11on Caleb Williams today. We will see.
1:01:14Until then, for Mike and Liz, I'm field
1:01:17Monday.
1:01:2161.
1:01:23Focus.
1:01:24Fantasy.
1:01:27Fantasy. Focus.
1:01:46Hey,
