0:00This video will explain the concept of Having Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and
0:04Abilities, one of the Five CATME Teamwork
0:07Dimensions. Having relevant knowledge, skills, and
0:10abilities, or KSAs, is defined as possessing necessary
0:15competencies to help the team achieve their goals.
0:18KSAs are having and understanding information,
0:21knowing how to perform your tasks, and possessing the capabilities you need to
0:25complete the team's work. This dimension is measured by the
0:29quality of KSAs used in a project, the new skills or knowledge the team
0:33member is willing to learn, and their ability to perform the tasks of
0:37other team members. To excel in this dimension, a team member
0:41must demonstrate the KSAs to do excellent work, acquire new knowledge or
0:45skills to improve the team's performance, and be able to perform the role of any
0:49team member, if necessary. This can be accomplished by studying and
0:52practicing the relevant material, doing further research to help complete
0:56tasks, learning from experts in related fields, and challenging
1:01yourself to improve and learn more. Thank you for watching! Please fill out
