0:00Hello everyone, and welcome to this new

0:02series of videos that I'm going to be

0:03doing every week. These should be going

0:05out on Sunday

0:06about just tracking my journey creating

0:09a publishing company. I am in a kind of

0:12unique position with this channel. I

0:13make decent living doing this channel

0:16and my associated Story Hacker group.

0:18And I teach people how to write with AI,

0:20of course, right? Um and [clears throat]

0:23one thing I haven't done a whole lot of

0:25is teach people how to be successful in

0:26publishing because to be frank, I

0:29haven't done that successfully myself.

0:31Now, working at Kindlepreneur and

0:33everything, I learned a lot about the

0:34theory about it and I understand the

0:37basics and I even have people in my

0:39community that are more successful than

0:41I am in their fiction.

0:43Uh but I didn't worry about that too

0:44much cuz I was telling people how to

0:46write with AI. I was not teaching people

0:48how to publish. I am taking steps to

0:51change that though and I want to

0:52document every step of the process. So,

0:55in this video you're getting week one of

0:58my attempts to do a successful

1:00publishing company. Um I did a a video

1:03last week

1:04where I talked about my goals, how I

1:06want to get to 16,000 in monthly

1:08recurring revenue, which is also called

1:10MRR,

1:11uh as well as, you know, just be

1:13successful in other areas. So, in this

1:15video I'm going to show you all my stats

1:17from this past week. Uh I'm filming this

1:20on Monday after the week is over, but

1:22you'll be seeing it the following

1:23Saturday about a week after this week

1:27has the week that I'm showing you the

1:29stats on has ended. And then I'll go

1:31through and answer questions from the

1:32last video I posted and that'll be a

1:34recurring thing. Each week I want to go

1:37through and answer questions to the

1:39previous videos. So, if you have

1:42questions, you can put them in the

1:43comments of this video and I will answer

1:44it in the next one. All right, so here

1:46are my stats for the week. So, let's

1:48zoom in a little bit here.

1:50Um

1:51and just before people get excited, I

1:53I'm just starting out putting out all of

1:55this stuff out there that is needed for

1:57this to work. I have not done a ton yet.

1:59This is Publishing is a little bit of a

2:02flywheel where it can take a lot of time

2:04to really get things going and you will

2:07see that today. Like there's a lot of

2:09expenses and a lot of stuff that I'm

2:11doing with very few results yet.

2:15But I'll get into that. So, this is week

2:16one,

2:17uh the week of October 19th. So, like I

2:20said, by the time you're seeing this, it

2:22will have been a week since this week

2:25ended.

2:26Uh I did not publish any books that

2:28week. I did finish one, however, and I

2:31uh you I may have already put out a

2:33video about that and how I did that.

2:35Uh but it is finished and I sent it to a

2:37line editor, um which factors into some

2:39of the expenses later. As far as ad

2:42spend goes, I spent $152

2:45and 16 cents on ads this week and that

2:48was of over the course of 3 days, after

2:51which I turned off the ads because they

2:53did not result in a single sale. These

2:55were ads that I was sending directly to

2:57my school group. Let me just show you

2:59that real quick.

3:01Um this is the school group where

3:04ideally I want most of my um

3:09uh my revenue to come from.

3:12And you know, you can get all my books

3:15right in here and uh and there's a

3:18community around it. And anytime I get

3:21somebody in here, it contributes to the

3:23monthly recurring revenue.

3:25Um so, I was running ads just directly

3:27to the about page of this group

3:32nada, which is great because that tells

3:34me what doesn't work. Uh I was hoping it

3:37would work. It would have been so much

3:38easier if it did, but uh it did not

3:41appear to do so. And the same goes for

3:43my YouTube videos that I created. I'll

3:45get to that in a second as well. A lot

3:47of that was I was just linking people

3:49directly to this group and it resulted

3:51in zero

3:53uh sign-ups. So, that tells me

3:56something. That tells me well, I'll get

3:57to my conclusions from that at this

3:59point uh later on.

4:01But anyway, uh ad spent about $152

4:04before I turned those off and realized

4:06that if I didn't get a $9 a month sale

4:09from $152, then chances are

4:12I need to increase the quality of my

4:14data and the quality of my salesman uh

4:17sales pitch and all of that. Also,

4:19contractor expenses. So, this is a huge

4:21one. Uh most of my expenses go into

4:23contractor expenses. So, this will be

4:25things like audiobooks, video editors,

4:28line editors,

4:30and uh ghostwriters. And this is going

4:34to look like a lot uh for a lot of you,

4:37uh especially since it's over the course

4:39of 1 week and it is a lot. Uh most of

4:41this good chunk of this is from video

4:43editors for the YouTube videos. I'll

4:45show you the stats on in a second.

4:47And um

4:50uh on the whole, I did have a major line

4:52editor expense and a major ghostwriting

4:55expense this week. So, that's why this

4:56one looks really high. It's not usually

4:59this high every week. It just happened

5:02to be a a pretty big week. So, that's

5:04going to bring our total revenue down

5:07very, very low. All right, but the cool

5:09thing is I have started two YouTube

5:11channels cuz I love YouTube and I think

5:13organic content is especially YouTube

5:15content is an under-tapped

5:18market for authors specifically. And so,

5:21I'm attempting to prove that point by

5:24creating not one, but two YouTube

5:26channels.

5:27And some of you're going to wonder like

5:28how on earth I'm doing this, but I'm

5:30actually producing one video on each

5:32channel every day. So, that's two videos

5:34a day.

5:35Uh every day, 7 days a week.

5:37So, that's 14 videos in a week and I did

5:40successfully produce 14 videos in a week

5:42plus the videos I make for this channel.

5:45So, that comes out to

5:47between like 16 and 20 or so videos that

5:53I produce in a week. Uh but I did get

5:55the 14 for these two YouTube channels.

5:57One is centered around fantasy lore. I'm

5:59not going to give you the exact name cuz

6:01I don't want to like tarnish the data a

6:04little bit because if you guys aren't

6:07the people that would naturally want to

6:08watch these YouTube channels, then

6:11um then if you went over there and

6:13started watching them, that could

6:14confuse the algorithm a little bit.

6:17So, uh but I will tell you this one's

6:19about fantasy lore and it's done the

6:21best so far. I got in 1 week, the very

6:23first week that these videos were

6:25launching,

6:27I got 104 subscribers,

6:30which I think is really solid for the

6:32first week of any channel,

6:36right? And I got 5,700 views, also

6:38really solid. Uh obviously there's no

6:40revenue yet because you have to get up

6:42to 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of

6:45watch time before you can get uh

6:48monetized on YouTube. So, until I get

6:50monetized, this will continue to be

6:52zero, but hopefully it won't take It'll

6:54probably take, you know, at the current

6:55rate, obviously with 104, I can probably

6:58get there

6:59in 10 weeks,

7:01probably sooner cuz I imagine that these

7:03numbers will

7:04go up exponentially.

7:06Um but anyway, these are very solid

7:08numbers. I'm very happy with this. Uh

7:10although it didn't translate to a whole

7:12lot of people, in fact, it didn't

7:14translate to anybody signing up for my

7:16school group. So, once again, that tells

7:17me that there's uh I'm selling the wrong

7:20thing in these situations and I'll get

7:23into some theories about that. So, the

7:25second YouTube channel

7:27is based around mythology since my

7:30YouTube since my

7:32uh my books are very like

7:34mythology-based. Like here I have uh

7:36this is the Arthur Tales, for instance.

7:38It's one of the books that people get.

7:40It's a King Arthur-related

7:42series of short stories.

7:44Um this one did not do quite as well,

7:46but if it weren't for the fact that this

7:47lore YouTube channel

7:50um

7:50is doing exceptionally well, I would

7:53still be very happy with these numbers

7:54for a first week. So, I got 56 new

7:57subscribers in that week and uh 1,560

8:02new uh new views and obviously zero

8:05revenue since this channel isn't

8:07monetized yet.

8:08Uh so, that's pretty

8:10like I'm pretty happy with that, too. Um

8:12I think this is pretty good.

8:14Uh obviously a lot less than what I get

8:17over here for the for the lore channel.

8:20And they're both topically relevant to

8:22what I write cuz my cuz I write

8:24mythological fantasy. So, basically this

8:26lore channel is all about the fantasy

8:28and this one's all about the mythology.

8:30Uh I don't know which one will translate

8:32into potential clients more, but

8:35overall, very happy with these results.

8:37All right, now we come to Book Report.

8:40Uh so, Book Report is the tracking

8:42software that I use to track revenue uh

8:45for my fiction across Amazon and

8:49uh Draft2Digital, which I primarily use

8:51for my ebooks and print

8:53um

8:54wide. And so, uh from that, I can deduce

8:58and once again, I haven't really been

9:00selling anything. Have uh I've been

9:01trying to get people into my school

9:03group, but I am trying to track all of

9:04my revenue here. So, that gave me

9:07$23.29.

9:09So, not a whole lot there. Uh this is

9:11not counting my books for authors, my

9:13nonfiction books because I want to keep

9:15this strictly to the fiction.

9:17Um and then for direct sales, I have not

9:20set up any Shopify store or anything to

9:22set up direct sales. That is going to be

9:24changing here in the next week

9:26or so. Uh

9:27the next 1 to 2 weeks I will be changing

9:29that and having some more direct sales,

9:31but since I didn't have that set up this

9:33past week, obviously there's zero

9:35dollars earned there.

9:37And then school payout. So, this is the

9:39pay like what I actually what actually

9:42dropped in my bank account last week

9:44from school from the specific school

9:46group was $22.09.

9:49And my total school monthly recurring

9:52revenue is $175

9:54a month.

9:56So, that's what I'm up to. Obviously,

9:58that's quite short of $16,000

10:01a month, which is what I would like to

10:03see here.

10:05Um but better than it was, you know,

10:07that's that's groceries for a week,

10:09right? Uh

10:11little more.

10:12So, um decent start, but obviously huge

10:15expenses, right? So, the total revenue,

10:17which is income minus expenses, was

10:19negative 3,400, essentially. Um so,

10:23obviously, like I said, a lot of that

10:25has to do with some big bills that hit

10:27me last last week.

10:29And the fact that we're just getting

10:31started on this, and there is investment

10:33that happens. And if you want to be

10:36successful as a publishing business,

10:38even if you're doing a publishing

10:39business of one, which I am at the

10:42moment, uh not you know, unless you

10:44count ghostwriters.

10:46Um

10:47but like cuz it's all in my universe,

10:49essentially. So, I'm publishing myself.

10:52And

10:54um

10:54you if you want to have a business, you

10:56need to be prepared to invest

10:58in your business. And that's what I'm

11:00doing here. And thankfully, because of

11:02Story Hacker Gold and the this Nerdy

11:05Novelist channel, I have the money to be

11:07able to support a loss

11:09for potentially a long time.

11:11Um

11:14and um and I you know, I can manage cash

11:16flow and all of that.

11:18But uh but overall, like even though

11:21this seems like a huge this would be

11:23hugely discouraging for a lot of people,

11:25I see this as nothing short of exciting

11:28cuz it just uh now we're able to track

11:30this and just we're going to watch that

11:32deficit shrink as we go along. Some days

11:35I'm going to have higher expenses than

11:36others.

11:38Uh some some weeks I'm going to have

11:39higher income than others, but I think

11:42we're going to see over time we're going

11:44to be able to watch that trend

11:46go up, so we have less of an expense,

11:48less of an expense, less of an expense,

11:51and then suddenly getting into profit.

11:54Um Amazon, famously, was

11:57uh operating at a loss for 6 years, but

12:00people still invested in it because the

12:02amount of that loss shrunk each year.

12:05So, I think that's what we're going to

12:06be seeing overall here. And my goal with

12:09this is to make all of the mistakes, so

12:10you don't have to, so that once I kind

12:12of figure out how to make this model

12:14work,

12:15uh and try a whole bunch of things,

12:18uh and learn what doesn't work, I can

12:20safely be able to teach other people how

12:22to do this, and you won't have to spend

12:24as much money as I

12:26as I do to make it work for you.

12:28Uh so, those are my stats. And now let's

12:30get into some of

12:32uh well, uh let me let me talk briefly

12:34about um my plans for this coming week

12:37and the week after. So, I learned that

12:39running ads

12:41and uh providing links in my YouTube

12:43accounts uh going directly to my school

12:46group is not really working. I wasn't

12:48seeing any noticeable uptake uptick of

12:51new people joining my school group.

12:53And I've kind of determined that the

12:56reason for that is because they don't

12:58know me,

12:59right?

13:00It's a hard ask to be like, "Join this

13:03subscription

13:04and get like 30 books" when they don't

13:07even know if they'll like one book,

13:09right? They haven't tried one book yet.

13:11And so, what I determined from this

13:13whole thing is that I really need to

13:15work on getting people in the door,

13:17getting them to read at least one thing

13:19of mine, and make them a fan of my of me

13:22and my work, and then upsell them on the

13:26school group. So, I am thinking a little

13:28bit more of a funnel here. Um

13:31And and you know, I wanted to do it

13:34you know, just do ads directly to the

13:36school group. It would have been so much

13:37easier if I could have made that

13:38profitable.

13:40Um but we're going to have to add an

13:41extra step in there. And so, in the

13:44coming days, weeks,

13:46I'm going to be building up some landing

13:48pages on my website,

13:51and those landing pages will

13:54uh have a variety of author offers on

13:56them. Um so, I'm going to experiment

13:58with like a a larger complete series

14:01offer that'll be like maybe 27 to 37,

14:03maybe 47 dollars,

14:05um where they get an entire series and

14:07all of the audiobooks. But I'm also

14:09going to experiment with some really

14:10smaller ones where I'm just selling like

14:12one book plus maybe a couple of bonuses

14:14to make it look enticing.

14:16And from that one book, I'll sell that

14:19for like maybe five bucks, just

14:20something easy. Um

14:22I I'm

14:23I really want to experiment with that. I

14:25don't know if I'll be able to make ads

14:26profitable if I do that,

14:28but uh on YouTube, I I should be able to

14:32make that profitable, I think. Most

14:34people, I think, would be much more

14:36willing to spend five bucks

14:37rather than the nine bucks a month

14:40that it costs to join my school group.

14:43Uh even though I'll the amount that you

14:44get with the school group is worth more

14:48than those five bucks, right? Because

14:51you like we're constantly putting out

14:52new stuff, you get the entire backlog

14:54and everything.

14:56Um but they don't like I said, they

14:58don't even know if they trust me yet, if

15:00they want those things. So, I got to

15:03sell them on one, pick my best offers,

15:05see which ones are selling the best,

15:08um and then expand those and see see

15:10what I can do with those. So, that is

15:11the main goal for this next week. I'm

15:13going to continue to put out a lot of

15:15new YouTube content. I am going to

15:17experiment because in my YouTube

15:19content, I have a a moment when I pause

15:22and sell, you know, do a brief pitch on

15:25on the school group. I'm going to try

15:27something a little bit different there.

15:29Um I'm not going to sell them on the

15:31landing pages yet because those aren't

15:33built, but I am going to like take one

15:35of my books and just be like

15:37uh and just sell them on the one book.

15:39Just be like, "This book is about XYZ

15:41and so forth, and you might like it if

15:43you like this and that." And

15:46um see if that results in more people

15:48signing up. I don't know. I think with

15:50in the case of YouTube, also like 99.9%

15:53of the new people coming in, because

15:55this is a brand new channel,

15:57they're all people that don't know me at

15:59all. And so, it's going to take some

16:01time for them to become familiar with me

16:04and to see my face and recognize me and

16:06to feel like I'm a friend, you know? Um

16:08I feel like I need to get people to have

16:10watched

16:12at least seven seven to 10 videos before

16:16they start to really trust me and start

16:18thinking about actually investing in my

16:20program. So, I I I imagine that a lot

16:25of those those things will get bigger

16:28and better

16:30um as as I just put out more videos. You

16:33know, it's a slow it's a it's a

16:34flywheel. It's slowly rolling out, okay?

16:37All right. So, with that in mind,

16:39let me go and answer some of my

16:41questions from the last video that I put

16:43out about this,

16:44um

16:45where I talked about my goals for this.

16:48Um all right. So, we've got a couple of

16:50comments here, and I'm just going to go

16:51up through these comments and try to

16:52find the the good questions and answer

16:54answer them here.

16:56So, wow, this is amazing. The fact that

16:57you're showing us in real time is

16:58awesome. Your hard work will be

16:59rewarded. Thank you so much.

17:02That is the idea. I'm trying to document

17:03it in real time, so

17:05you uh so, you guys don't have to make

17:07the mistakes that I will obviously be

17:08making.

17:09This sounds great. I'm very interested

17:11to see how this goal goes. I'm in a few

17:13groups on School, and it's a solid

17:14platform. Do you think this would work

17:16for someone who's not a YouTuber? Um

17:18yes, I I think it can. I obviously, you

17:21got to you got to wait till I make it

17:22work, right? And then I can tell you

17:24what makes it work. Um but uh I do think

17:28that this could be possible

17:30uh just with any size audience. But I I

17:32am starting to think that you kind of

17:33have to build the audience first,

17:36uh and then sell them on an offer like

17:38this.

17:39Um but we'll see how that goes. All

17:42right. I love School. It's definitely a

17:43game changer. Yeah, you guys don't

17:45understand. Like School is is an amazing

17:47platform. It's so much better than

17:48Patreon or Discord or any other

17:51community-based platform,

17:53uh or membership-based platform. Like

17:55it's just head and shoulders above all

17:56of those things in so many ways that I

17:58couldn't even like get into them all

17:59here.

18:01Uh all right. Uh how do you edit your

18:03book drafts so quickly?

18:04Um I probably should edit them more.

18:07Um

18:09uh I don't know if this video's gone out

18:10yet, but I will have a video about my

18:13last book that I wrote with AI, and it

18:15took me four days to edit the whole

18:16thing.

18:17And

18:18uh it certainly could have used more

18:20like a second or third pass, and if I

18:22had time to do that, I would have done

18:24that myself. But instead, I am hiring

18:26line editors to do that for me.

18:28Just to give it that extra polish, so I

18:30know it's better uh than it was. And so,

18:34yeah, um

18:35that that's uh that's just me. Like most

18:38of what I do in my edits are focused on

18:40continuity and just making it sound like

18:43if making it fit my vision, essentially.

18:45That's what I'm

18:46looking at. So, all right. I love this

18:48so much. It allows for branding,

18:49presence, and proliferation. Great job.

18:51You really should consider adding

18:52branding lessons to the gold group.

18:54Funny you should say that. I want to use

18:56my marketing knowledge for building my

18:57writing brand, so it would be awesome to

18:58discuss this further. So, we just had

19:02this exact thing. I don't I like I I

19:03don't know

19:05um

19:06if this person was like clued into that

19:08or something, but like we just had Ella

19:10Bernard, who is an experienced and very

19:12successful self-publisher, come in and

19:14did uh four classes

19:17on branding, and they were phenomenal.

19:19And uh those are accessible inside the

19:21Story Hacker Gold group. Uh so, yeah.

19:25All right, cool. It's like a Patreon and

19:26a community site. Yep, essentially, but

19:28way better. All right, this person says,

19:30"Cool idea, but it might need a lot of

19:31marketing." Yes, it will. Every approach

19:34does, though.

19:35Uh but my concern is as a platform for

19:36self-published authors, School seems

19:38untested, which could be good. However,

19:40I feel like Patreon would be a better

19:41fit for writers looking to grow their

19:42readers, but I wish you the best of

19:43luck. I I get where this is coming from.

19:46Uh you're not actually the first person

19:47to say this.

19:48Um but I found Patreon Patreon is an

19:51awful platform. Like they take a massive

19:53amount of the cut of what you're

19:56earning.

19:57They also like there's like nobody hangs

20:00out on Patreon. Nobody's like it's it's

20:03just it's it's awful.

20:05Um

20:06It's just not the only advantage that

20:08Patreon has is that people know what it

20:10is and school is quickly becoming a lot

20:13more prominent. It's growing insanely

20:15fast.

20:16And I do intend to be the first

20:18self-published author that makes it work

20:21for their readership.

20:22Um but you're right because it is

20:24untested that makes it a little bit

20:26difficult and that's why I'm spending

20:28all this money to try and figure out

20:29what the best approach is

20:31uh to get people on there.

20:33Um

20:34but in terms of the quality of the

20:36platform, it is so much better than

20:38Patreon that I'm sure like the more

20:39people I get on school the more that

20:42will be recognized.

20:44Uh so yeah, hopefully we'll see what

20:46that looks like. All right, this person

20:48says why the emphasis on ads there's

20:50free marketing. Are you worried you'll

20:51upset readers with the subscription

20:52model? I know it works for Amazon but

20:54that's because tons of books are new

20:56books are published every month so you'd

20:57be pumping out books frequently.

20:59Yeah, so emphasis on ads

21:03even

21:05platforms that seem like they are free

21:07marketing

21:09are actually not free. They are running

21:11on ads like this one, YouTube. Now I'm

21:14not running the ads

21:16but someone's running the ads and

21:18YouTube is only able to function because

21:20of ads.

21:21Um

21:23and

21:25so even though it's it's essentially

21:26free marketing for me because I just put

21:28out the content and organic algorithms

21:31help it work.

21:33Business runs on ads. Doesn't matter the

21:35platform. Ads are an essential part of

21:37the economy to just make it work. So

21:40that's why I said what I did about ads.

21:42I am running ads myself on Facebook

21:45because I'm trying to explore multiple

21:47avenues to to make this work

21:50because one might work better than

21:51another.

21:52Um

21:54and upsetting readers with the

21:55subscription model there will certainly

21:57be readers that are upset with the

21:59subscription model. And for them

22:02you know, the books are available on

22:03Amazon, too.

22:04Um but I do feel like like this isn't

22:07going to be an exclusive subscription

22:09model thing. They don't have to join the

22:10subscription model. There are plenty of

22:12people out there that don't mind the

22:13subscription model as much and are

22:15perfectly willing to pay it if the value

22:17they get out of it is sufficient enough.

22:20Nobody will ever pay money for something

22:22that they don't feel is good enough

22:23value. So that's just

22:26some yeah.

22:28Comment. And the same for this comment

22:30here. One problem with the subscription

22:31model nowadays that everyone has many

22:33subscriptions. Yeah, that's just a

22:34reality of today's economy. That's just

22:36how it works.

22:38Um and it is harder to get to sell

22:41people on a subscription.

22:42But the nice thing about subscriptions

22:45is that they are far more stable and for

22:47someone looking to be an entrepreneur

22:50looking to have their own business,

22:51stable income is absolutely

22:54something that you want to have.

22:56[laughter] So

22:57Um all right.

22:59Sometimes I'm worried that this is a

23:00very short-lived like opportunity as I

23:03feel AI will write books efficiently in

23:05a couple of months and that's going to

23:05crowd a lot more than what's already out

23:07there. Yeah, so

23:09if AI is writing a lot of books

23:11efficiently well, first of all, most of

23:14them are not going to be great even if

23:16AI gets better because anything

23:20that is AI plus a human will always

23:23especially AI plus a skilled human will

23:25always be better than AI by itself,

23:27always.

23:29Um and so where really it comes down to

23:32is you just have to make good stuff. If

23:35you make good stuff, you can instantly

23:37rise above 99% of the fluff out there.

23:41Most of the stuff that goes on Amazon

23:44doesn't get seen by anybody because it's

23:45not good and Amazon's algorithms have

23:48very good ways of figuring out what is

23:51good and increasing one's personal brand

23:54and working on advertising, having a

23:56budget for advertising, things like that

23:58can instantly

24:00move you above the competition. So

24:02that's just something to keep in mind

24:04there. I am I do I am not worried about

24:06the market at all

24:07for this

24:09because I have no competition because I

24:11am the only person that is me.

24:13Right?

24:14I'm the only kind of person that can

24:15create the kind of books that I'm

24:17writing.

24:18Even with AI.

24:20And so

24:21I'm only in competition with myself.

24:25See how that works?

24:26Um here's a good question. So nice. So

24:28ghostwritten books are better than AI

24:30books then? Has the tide shifted? No, so

24:32I use ghostwritten books. I use AI

24:34books. I have done collaboration on

24:36books

24:37and I have written my own books without

24:39AI or anything like that. And I should

24:41probably do a whole video on this. But

24:44there are pros and cons to each.

24:46I found that for AI

24:48or for ghostwritten books

24:50it's much easier assuming you find a

24:52decent enough ghostwriter who

24:55is affordable to you

24:57ghostwritten books are substantially

25:00more hands-off. Like I can just give

25:03them a story

25:04and not worry about it too much after

25:07that. I can I can reasonably assume that

25:10the product that I get back from that

25:13will be a decent product. Okay?

25:16So that's that's just something there

25:18that's that's a

25:21important to keep in mind. AI books are

25:23closer

25:24to

25:26me writing the book myself.

25:28It's a little bit like working with a

25:29ghostwriter but with an insanely

25:32increased level of

25:35micromanagement.

25:37You have to really be involved in there.

25:39And so I find it's closer to actually

25:41writing the book than it is to hiring a

25:43ghostwriter. And um and so I do a mix. I

25:47do a mix of all things because it all

25:49helps. Um

25:51and it all contributes um

25:54yeah, so

25:55uh this person says so you talked to

25:56Goose? Yes, I talked to Goose.

25:59Goose is awesome.

26:01Uh this person says I've been on a

26:03school group and I love the community

26:04aspect. Yeah, please can you do more

26:06automation videos as I'm trying to learn

26:07it and make one that's decent. I like

26:08your previous one click to write a book

26:10video, too.

26:11Yes, I am doing a lot of automation

26:13videos in the future. Um

26:15no worries there.

26:18What are the fees or do you keep all

26:19your profits? So this is for school.

26:21School has the lowest fees

26:23of any other membership platform like it

26:26or course platform.

26:28Um they charge only what they are

26:30charged by

26:32Stripe which they use as their payment

26:34processing and that's 3%

26:37I believe.

26:38Every other platform it's way more than

26:40that. I think Patreon it comes to like

26:4110 or 15. Like it's it's really absurd.

26:44Um and the only [clears throat] reason

26:46that they're able to do it that low is

26:48because

26:49they are they have sort of an enterprise

26:52deal with Stripe

26:54on all the transactions.

26:57Whereas most other platforms it's the

26:59individual creator that has

27:02um

27:03the deal with Stripe and so even Stripe

27:05fees are more on other platforms because

27:08it's direct from the creator to Stripe.

27:10Whereas here it's between school and

27:12Stripe and they because of the volume of

27:14people on school they're able to get

27:16like lower fees.

27:17So that's pretty cool. All right, this

27:19person asked

27:21just said that there was inconsistencies

27:23in my earlier statement. I said 16,000

27:26as 1,600 a month. Yeah, so I meant

27:2816,000 a month. That's that is my target

27:31to win the school games. I am kind of

27:33coming to the conclusion that I might

27:35not hit that this quarter.

27:37This quarter might all be about learning

27:39what works.

27:40And next quarter would be all about

27:42scaling what works and really making it

27:45to that 16k a month goal. That's fine.

27:48If if it takes an extra quarter or two

27:51um then that's fine. The the

27:54all we're trying to do is just figure

27:55out what works and more importantly what

27:57doesn't work

27:59to make this work. So that is pretty

28:01much everything I got for you this week.

28:02Be sure to leave any comments with any

28:03questions you have down below on this

28:05video and I will answer those in the

28:07next next week's version of this video

28:11and I will see you then.
