0:00Hello everyone. My name is Akello

0:01Harrell, and boy, am I happy to be a

0:03Nerdy Novelist. Today, we're going to be

0:05working inside of Story Hacker OS. What

0:08I'm going to do is actually bring a

0:11story that I have been working on for a

0:13very long time. We're going [music] to

0:14bring it into Story Hacker OS, and in

0:17that process of bringing that story in,

0:20we are going to enhance it. We're going

0:23to flesh it out even more. We're going

0:25to do all kinds of really cool things

0:27with it. All right, let's jump right in.

0:29All right, we're inside of Story Hacker

0:32OS.

0:33As you have already signed in, and

0:35you've gone and signed up over at Story

0:37Hacker, you now have access to this. And

0:40as you can also see, I have some

0:42projects that I've been working on.

0:45But what I have not put in here is my

0:48Lucky 7 Universe. And so, I'm going to

0:50start populating that universe now. Now,

0:53how best do I get started with this?

0:55Well, I go up into the upper right-hand

0:58corner over here, and I click on this

1:00create button, and I am given the option

1:03to create either a book, a series, or a

1:07world. So, what I'm going to do is we're

1:09going to start at the world level, and

1:12I'm going to call this the

1:15Lucky

1:187.

1:22And we're going to click create. I'm

1:25going to back out of this so that we can

1:27see what happens. Now, we have the

1:29ability to start working either in a new

1:32series right here, or we could work in a

1:36new document. I am going to actually And

1:39see, and over here, you can even create

1:42within the world you can create the

1:45series or a new document, which would be

1:48a new book inside of the series. But,

1:51the series we're going to work on right

1:53now is uh we're going to work on the

1:56original trilogy, which we will call

1:59Hello Universe.

2:01Because in this series of books, the

2:05main protagonists are trying their best

2:07to break out of the shell that they've

2:10been locked in, which is our solar

2:12system.

2:14Okay, and uh, this is the introduction

2:17to the rest of the greater universe.

2:19Now, we have this series in here.

2:22Uh,

2:23let me see, shared notes every book in

2:26this world can draw on. So, this right

2:28here is a document that is for the

2:31entire world. So, what I'm going to do

2:33now is give it a lot of information and

2:36call this one the, uh, series bible.

2:47And we're going to call this one world

2:50building.

2:54And this one, oh, I don't want to, wow,

2:58let me see here.

2:59Was there a way to import? Oh, I see.

3:03That is okay.

3:05So, what I'll do is, right now I have

3:08this information right here,

3:10and I'm going to title it. Uh, we're

3:12going to say series bible.

3:24And we're going to save it. And then

3:27what I'm going to do is I'm going to

3:28have to go out because I'm sure they

3:30just haven't figured out that they

3:32should probably give you the ability to

3:34import certain documents in, which I'm

3:36sure they will do at a later time. What

3:38I'm going to do is now that I'm in here,

3:41I'm going to go inside of Hello

3:42Universe. We're going to call this one

3:44book one.

3:45And we're going to go, and since we are

3:48trying to make sure we adhere to the

3:50sci-fi tropes and stuff like that. We

3:52are going with not military sci-fi. Ooh.

3:57This is going to be a little bit tricky

3:59because I am doing a crazy epic thing.

4:02So, we're going to go sci-fi genre.

4:06Uh what's the core of my idea? The core

4:08of my idea is the solar system is a

4:10powder keg and there are over 700

4:13habitats with over a billion people

4:15floating around and the only resource

4:17they have is the Earth.

4:19And if they can't break away, something

4:21bad's going to happen. And I'm going to

4:23put adult

4:29create book and book one's in there. And

4:32now I get to import some files. And the

4:36reason I did that book really quick was

4:39because I wanted to import specific

4:41files. Let me see here from my Dropbox

4:45inside of my second brain.

4:47Now, here's an interesting thing. When

4:49you're importing something, you can

4:51import it inside of the plot, the

4:54characters. It could be part of the

4:56manuscript and if it is part of the

4:57manuscript, you can import it as a

5:00manuscript and split it into chapters if

5:02you haven't split everything into

5:04chapters before. Just a little

5:06behind-the-scenes tidbit. Remember, I'm

5:08just importing this because I'm sure at

5:10some point they're going to have a way

5:12for you to import

5:13>> [laughter]

5:13>> things straight into uh the overall

5:17thing. Now, I'm going to take this and

5:19copy all of it. Okay. And now I'm going

5:22to go all the way back up to the Lucky 7

5:25universe. I'm going to go back into the

5:27series Bible. And actually, what we're

5:30probably going to do is we probably

5:31should rename it something else.

5:34But I'm going to paste in all of this

5:36information right here and back out.

5:40Sci-fi book one. And now you have all of

5:44your information and it is completely in

5:47there and ready to be used

5:50as part of the overall way that a

5:55chatbot that is actually sitting inside

5:57of Storyhackers can use it. So, we're

5:58going to go into Hello World again.

6:00We're going to go into book one,

6:03right? And I'm actually going to take

6:06this, and I'm going to delete this

6:08because there is a chatbot over here,

6:11and I want to add context. And what

6:14we're going to do is we're going to add

6:15the series Bible, which is at the top,

6:18right? Inside of It's one of the main

6:21documents that you can draw from. Now, I

6:23can have a conversation with it. All

6:24right, let's talk about the story that

6:27we're going to do in this first book.

6:30And we are off to the races. It's having

6:32a conversation with me now, and now I

6:34can develop this into something even

6:37more. All right, says absolutely, there

6:39let's develop the story before drafting

6:42the prose. For the first book, Assembly,

6:44the central spine appears to be John

6:47survives an assassination attempt, and

6:51let's see. Ending with Michael's death

6:53and John inheriting the mission. This

6:55gives us several strong story engines.

6:58External plot, political, personal,

7:02relationship, moral tension,

7:04a hard sci-fi heist thriller, a family

7:07crime drama, a political conspiracy, a

7:10character-driven survival story, a blend

7:14with one of those serving as the

7:16dominant mode. Which one do we want to

7:18do? So, hard sci-fi heist thriller.

7:22Salvage missions, illegal components,

7:24betrayal, and escalating sabotage, or

7:28are we talking about John succession

7:31into the One Syndicate, or are we

7:33talking about the political conspiracy

7:35thriller where the Union, the Servants,

7:37and hidden control of the Habitats? I

7:40have to say I'm more into the idea of

7:43this being a bit of a thriller and a

7:45heist thing. So, we're going to go with

7:47the heist thing. We're going to do this

7:49and copy. Now, remember I've set up this

7:52agent that I'm working with over in the

7:54corner and that's what this is is it's

7:56an it is an agent that has access to

7:58specific files so that it can

8:00intelligently figure out what you want

8:03to do with your story. It's really a

8:05really great way to do this. I was

8:07really happy when he included agents in

8:09this and it really is really cool. All

8:12right. What I want to do is paste this

8:15in and this is all from the story that I

8:17already have built and the Bible and the

8:20whole nine yards. So, I'm really excited

8:22about that part of it. Let's see here

8:24and now one of the biggest things that

8:27you can do at this point is validate

8:29what the agent is going to give you.

8:32Once you have validated that this agent

8:35is kind of writing the story the way

8:37that you intended it from your documents

8:39that you built in the first place,

8:41that's when things start getting really

8:43exciting. As you can see right over

8:45here, it spent a lot of time kind of

8:48writing out everything about the story

8:50now that we made a nice exciting sort of

8:54idea of it being a heist story with

8:56sabotage and people who do you trust and

8:59all of that stuff. Now, we're going to

9:00take this idea after you have validated

9:03it and we are going to add it. At the

9:06bottom it says right here insert into

9:08document or copy. Right? So, you could

9:11either copy this and take it up a level

9:14or you could insert it into a document.

9:17So, I'm going to click on insert. Oh, I

9:21have to create a new document here

9:24and this new document is going to be the

9:26plot and we're going to call this plot

9:30and

9:31then we're going to insert this into

9:33this document and now we have this

9:35entire thing with the plot and all of

9:38the escalating this that and the other.

9:40Okay, now what I want to do is ask it

9:43some specific questions over here. Is it

9:45possible for us to flesh out all of the

9:49characters and stuff like that from the

9:51information you now have so that we can

9:54put it in here for reference in this

9:57book and maybe

9:59other references for as high as the

10:01series and everything goes and for the

10:03series and everything else that goes on.

10:06Now, we're having another conversation

10:08with it in order for it to give us a lot

10:12of information that we now need for each

10:14one of the characters and everything.

10:16And remember, this whole thing is being

10:17powered by Open Router. So, if you have

10:20an Open Router key and you put some

10:22money in there, you can have yourself a

10:24nice conversation with whatever agent

10:25you set up in the corner. So, this agent

10:27can be set up as any under any sort of

10:31intelligence. You can use Codex, you can

10:33use Gemini, you can use whatever you

10:35want. Don't have to use the defaults,

10:37but I tell you, there are a lot of

10:39defaults that really work well. Now, all

10:41of this information here is all of the

10:45characters and all of the stuff. All

10:47right, so let's take a quick peek

10:49at what this says. Yes, we can build a

10:52living story Bible for assembly on the

10:54entire Lucky Seven series using the

10:56existing documents as canon and clearly

10:59marking anything we add as either

11:01confirmed, provisional, or still

11:03undecided. So, a bunch of characters,

11:06Lucky Seven character series references.

11:09Now, as you can see as we continue to go

11:11through this process, this is all stuff

11:13that can be moved into documents as you

11:16move through this story and I'm just

11:19expanding on it now. Remember, you're

11:21validating every moment that you can.

11:23You're validating. And this is how you

11:27start to really, really get a lot of

11:30information. So, we've got the plot,

11:32right here. This level, we have the

11:35plot. What I'd like to do, let's see,

11:38look at the bottom here and see what it

11:41says. The next useful step would be to

11:43turn these into a formal canon document

11:46beginning with the five principal

11:48characters and then adding the

11:50supporting cast factions and book by

11:53book arcs. We should treat every

11:55resolved item as a deliberate decision

11:57rather than allowing continuity to

12:00emerge accidentally during drafting.

12:03Okay. So, what we'll do,

12:06we've got the plot here, we've got the

12:08series Bible, and I'm going to say to

12:10it, let's do that. Let's go ahead on and

12:14start doing this one by one. Let's do

12:17the first one. And then you are working

12:19your way through your plot, your book,

12:23and all of this information is yours.

12:26Every single part of this information is

12:28yours. And right here, we are now

12:30working on John. John's entire character

12:33is being fleshed out right in front of

12:35me. And what I want to do is I'm going

12:38to copy this, take it into 11 Labs, and

12:41as I'm going to a thing this afternoon

12:44with some friends, I'm going to listen

12:46to this in the car on the way there. And

12:49I will get a better idea of who John is,

12:52at least what the artificial

12:54intelligence thinks John is, and see if

12:56that is the same thing as what I think

12:59John is. So, like I said to you, this is

13:02a very exciting and easy and interesting

13:06way to use an agent to actually help you

13:09build your story in an in an even better

13:12way. And the thing that makes it an

13:13agent is that it builds this thing for

13:16you over in the corner. And then you can

13:18take that information and put it

13:20straight into all of your documents and

13:23everything is organized and you start

13:25really building your story out. That is

13:28how you bring your own story right there

13:31the big series and start breaking it

13:33down and bringing it into Story Hacker

13:36OS. All right, next time we are going to

13:39go and do this thing from scratch. We're

13:42going to ideate straight from scratch

13:45and we're going to build it out. Now

13:47that you've seen how this thing

13:48initially starts with a story that you

13:50have, how about we see how you do with a

13:54story that you don't have, which is

13:56really where it starts doing crazy

13:57things. Where you would be able to use

13:59things like the book builder skill, the

14:02book builder where you can create a

14:05dossier from just a idea in your head

14:08and really start working against all of

14:11the creativity that you have. I want you

14:13to have this adversary and this

14:16companion working with you all at one

14:18time. That would be the artificial

14:20intelligence giving you a real chance to

14:23flesh out your story. And that is the

14:25best thing that I can tell you about

14:27Story Hacker OS is that it really gives

14:29you an opportunity to flesh everything

14:32out. All right, I will see you all in

14:34the next video when we are going to be

14:36making a story from scratch.
