1:08by 1573 or Nobunaga was starting to get

1:12a grip on the situation in central japan

1:15the once-powerful Miyoshi clan were

1:17being ousted from the mainland the

1:20temple fortresses of the eco Ichi were

1:22tied down in a state of constant siege

1:24the as I and a Sakura proved to be

1:27incapable of overcoming the Oda and the

1:30great Takeda Shingen supposedly had died

1:33halting the Takeda clan on their march

1:35west against Nobunaga the fog of turmoil

1:39was finally lifting and things were

1:41finally coming together the kinky region

1:44would soon be fully and Nobunaga's grasp

1:47the main threat to Oda power had been

1:50the Takeda clan when Shingen began his

1:52march west

1:53Nobunaga surely viewed it as dire

1:56circumstances however he had to rely on

1:59Tokugawa Ieyasu being capable of slowing

2:02down the Takeda as Nobunaga could not

2:05move for fear of the SI and Asakura

2:08taking advantage of his absence the best

2:11he could do was send aid and pray the

2:15Takeda had made it far

2:17pushing deep into Tokugawa territory as

2:19far as mikawa and even crossing the

2:22mountain passes between Shinano and

2:24Amino to seize the oda castle of

2:26gomorrah yet the supposed death of

2:30Shingen halted the Takeda onslaught the

2:32new head of the clan Takeda katsuyori

2:35would devote himself to carrying on

2:37shingen's plans yet it would be another

2:40year before he resumed any major action

2:43knowing Nobunaga now faced a plethora of

2:46foes the rebellious shogun ashikaga

2:50yoshimasa wring his position in kyoto in

2:53anticipation for the capitulation of the

2:55oda unfortunately for him shingen's

2:59death meant the oda weren't going

3:01anywhere and soon oda forces surrounded

3:04the Shogun's castle of Nijo yet it was

3:07here that the emperor intervened and

3:08caused both sides to agree to an uneasy

3:11truce a truce that would undoubtedly not

3:14laugh

3:15by August of 1573 Nobunaga alongside

3:19hashiba Hideyoshi once again attempted

3:22another siege of the eco iki stronghold

3:24at Nagashima in issei province yet once

3:28again the oda forces would be repelled

3:30from the castle

3:31this defeat brought Yoshiaki renewed

3:35confidence causing him to openly rally

3:37against Nobunaga for the second time

3:39that year shattering their flimsy truce

3:42this time the Shogun marched an army out

3:45to the famous og bridge hoping to tie

3:47Nobunaga down while the as I a Sakura

3:50and ego iki all launched simultaneous

3:53attacks against him

3:54however Yoshiaki had severely

3:57miscalculated as none of his allies were

3:59able to attack Nobunaga before

4:01Nobunaga's forces fell on the Shogun's

4:04crushing his army and breaking through

4:06into Nijo castle utterly crushed

4:09Yoshiaki surrendered and begged to keep

4:12his life a request

4:13Nobunaga granted yet we can see here he

4:17was finally at his wits end with

4:19Yoshiaki and shogun all politics knowing

4:22that he was now the unquestionable power

4:24in the capital Nobunaga would strip the

4:27Shogun of all authority and send him

4:29into exile the ashy kaga would

4:32officially be no more and with their

4:35fall the Shogunate was ultimately

4:38dismantled the 237 year reign of the

4:42ashikaga shogunate was over and now

4:45Nobunaga assumed full control over the

4:48capital unburdened by the weight of

4:50status or position with Yoshiaki finally

4:54out of his hair and that tacky dot

4:56momentarily quiet

4:57Nobunaga set out at the head of a Grand

5:00Army in aims to obliterate the last

5:02major clan rivals he had near the

5:05capital the SI and a Sakura his initial

5:09target would once again be the SI power

5:11base of o'donneii a site which over the

5:14past three years had seen much fighting

5:17yet with the oda army on the march a

5:20sakura yoshikawa quickly dispatched an

5:22army of 20,000 to aid the besieged as i

5:26this time Nobunaga anticipated Asakura

5:29reinforcements and laid a trap which

5:31coffee a Sakura army before they reached

5:33o'donneii

5:34ambushed and in a state of panic the

5:37Sakura army fled back into a season

5:39pursued by the main bulk of the oda

5:42forces in sight of the approaching oda

5:45army yoshi kaga opted to flee from his

5:47stronghold at Ichigo modani

5:49which was then burned to the ground by

5:51the oda as Nobunaga's armies quickly

5:54enveloped his province Yoshika gay would

5:57eventually commit seppuku on September

5:5916th and with his death the asakura clan

6:03was destroyed in addition the province

6:06of vacasa

6:07also fell to the oda for years the

6:10province had been owned by a minor

6:12branch of the Takeda clan yet due to

6:14infighting the ax Sakura had exerted

6:16their influence over the area yet with

6:19the fall of the ax Sakura both HSN and

6:21Wakasa fell into oda hands with the ax

6:25Sakura wiped out aside Nagamasa was now

6:28surrounded in o'donneii castle as aura

6:31troops poured back over the border into

6:33owe me from a season to firmly continue

6:36the siege of his power base unable to

6:39repel the order forces no matter how

6:41hard he valiantly tried Nagamasa knew he

6:45was beaten Nagamasa

6:47who was married to Nobunaga's sister

6:49luigi made an honourable gesture and

6:51released her and their daughters back

6:53into Nobunaga's care following this he

6:57and his father along with much of the SI

6:59leadership then committed seppuku with

7:03this the SI clan were also destroyed

7:06Nobunaga was victorious in the aftermath

7:11of the conflict the heads of both as i

7:14Nagamasa and a sakura yoshika gay would

7:17be lacquered in gold and presented to

7:19Nobunaga at a great feast in the case of

7:23the conquered territory Nobunaga would

7:25bestow the newly acquired lands to some

7:28of his finest retainers portions of each

7:31season were divided between Maya to see

7:34a few WA Mizu Haru

7:36and Sasha Lori masa while the rich as I

7:40territory in owe me was given to none

7:42other than hashiba Hideyoshi so what can

7:48we learn from this after the death of

7:50Takeda Shingen shogun ashikaga yoshimasa

7:56yet

7:57finally after Nobunaga's failure to

7:59seize Nagashima in 1573 Yoshiaki marched

8:03out with an army to oppose Nobunaga this

8:07ended poorly for him as no one was able

8:09to come to his aid before his forces

8:12were crushed and his stronghold was

8:13besieged at this point Nobunaga finally

8:17cast out the Shogun and dismantled the

8:19Shogunate he was now the ultimate power

8:22Nobunaga then moved on to deal a killing

8:25blow to the Azai and a sakura leading a

8:28massive army against o'donneii castle he

8:30would instead only mask the castle and

8:33take the fight to the sakura who quickly

8:35capitulated with no more allies and

8:37completely surrounded

8:39as i Nagamasa returned Nobunaga's sister

8:42and their daughters and then opted to

8:44commit suicide with this victory

8:46Nobunaga was now the unquestionable

8:49ruler of the entire region in the next

8:52episode we take a step away from central

8:54japan to examine stirrings in the south

8:57as the true Tsukuba clan of Shikoku

8:59begin to gain power and lead Shimazu
