0:00Hey everybody, Danny Maude here. Thanks

0:02for joining us. This week I have got an

0:04incredible exercise for you that can

0:06improve

0:07pretty much any aspect of your golf

0:09swing in a very natural and easy way. If

0:12you've been trying to improve your

0:13takeaway move,

0:15in fact, you know what? Let's just get

0:16cracking with the cracking with the

0:17video cuz you know what? It improves

0:18takeaway move, it improves rotation

0:21through impact, it improves transference

0:22of weight, improves your ability to

0:24square up the club face. It pretty much

0:26improves everything. So, before we get

0:28into the video though, if you're new to

0:30the channel and this is one of your

0:31first

0:32videos with me, consider subscribing. If

0:35you press that little bell button next

0:36to subscribe, you get to see videos like

0:38this every single week from me so I can

0:40come and help you improve your game. So,

0:43what is it? Well,

0:45I've kind of created videos for quite a

0:46while now when I've actually used your

0:49natural action. So, what most people

0:51don't realize is that they have a

0:52natural ability to play this game. I

0:55often show people, film people throwing

0:57golf balls and their bodies and the way

1:00their bodies move are just incredible,

1:02completely different to when they're

1:03swinging a golf club.

1:05And I would My job as a golf coach is to

1:07bring that out of you as much as I

1:08possibly can. And I wanted to develop

1:11the throwing action into something that

1:12was actually hitting golf balls a lot

1:14more seamlessly. So, I came up with

1:16this. So,

1:17what I want you to do, oh, it's very

1:19simply is this.

1:20I want you here

1:23to start hitting some golf balls

1:25one-handed.

1:26Bear with me, okay?

1:28It can My Most people start start

1:31thinking, you know, there's no way I can

1:32do this, but I'm going to show you some

1:33videos of

1:35ladies doing this, senior golfers doing

1:37this, everybody doing this and it is

1:39amazing how they do it. They swing so

1:42much better, they strike it so much

1:44better. It's just incredible, right? But

1:46I'm going to show you just one thing.

1:47So, we'll get ourselves set here

1:49in position and all we're going to do is

1:50start to practice swinging

1:52and hitting the golf ball

1:55one-handed.

1:58Why would I do this? Why would I even

1:59create it? Well, one,

2:01here's the thing. It naturally helps

2:03your body move better. Why is that?

2:06Well, I've taken your strength away.

2:09See, the thing is, when you see a child

2:11playing golf,

2:12they just seem to learn quickly, don't

2:14they, right? They seem to learn and they

2:15always seem to have great good-looking

2:16golf swings very quick early on. But,

2:18they don't start like that. When they

2:20first start, I've got three kids.

2:21They've got twin boys that are four and

2:23Ava's six. And their swings are looking

2:25great already, and I haven't told them a

2:27thing, right? Now, what's happening?

2:30They start off and they're hitting it

2:31along the ground, all over the place,

2:33with awful swings.

2:35The The thing is is they number one

2:37objective is to hit the ball as far as

2:39they can. That's all they're interested

2:40in, right?

2:41Now, as they're doing this, their bodies

2:44are working out naturally how to do

2:46this. They're They're naturally working

2:47out the answer. Now, the difference

2:49between a child and an adult is you have

2:52strength. They don't. So, here's your

2:54problem.

2:56You can make a bad swing work just

2:59purely because of strength. You can

3:01stand like this. You can swing like

3:03this. You can muscle a golf ball and

3:06actually get a result. A child can't.

3:09They don't have your strength.

3:10So, you can get away with poor

3:12mechanics, and because you can, you

3:15develop poor mechanics.

3:18So, I want to under- undevelop and I

3:20want to get you learning like a child

3:21again. So, if I take your strength away

3:24and get you swinging one-handed, you are

3:27I'm forcing you to swing with great

3:29mechanics naturally. Now, when people

3:32start with this, do you think they just

3:33hit the ball great straight away? No.

3:35Just like a child, they'll hit terrible

3:37shots. But, the difference now is you

3:40will naturally develop good mechanics.

3:43So, for those of you who maybe struggle

3:45with the takeaway move, watch this.

3:47If I'm If my number one objective is to

3:49bring that club face back to square, do

3:51you think it makes any sense for me to

3:53do this?

3:55Just feels weird to do that. But, you

3:57know what? When the left hand's in there

3:58and I've got the strength,

3:59I can I feel I can get away with it.

4:02So, get myself set here. The takeaway

4:04move naturally is better here. I'm in a

4:06a much stronger position here and the

4:08what always happens with people in this

4:10situation here is this. If you

4:12traditionally poor ball strikers stay

4:15very static through the impact area.

4:17They don't move their legs.

4:19You do that with one hand and the club

4:21here cuz your body stops, the club's

4:23just going to simply wrap through and

4:25hood the face and hook it miles left for

4:28right-handers. So, let's have a look at

4:29that in action. So, if I don't move my

4:30body, which I kind of won't, it

4:34it's just going to whip straight over

4:36left because I can't control it.

4:38But, the problem is is an adult and

4:39you've got the strength,

4:41well, you can guide that ball now and

4:44start to push it down the fairway and

4:45get away with it.

4:47So, here's what happens. Because that

4:49just feels weird and awkward one-handed,

4:51you've got to try this to kind of kind

4:52of feel it. Cuz it feels weird, watch

4:55this. Suddenly, my body

4:57works so much better. But, don't just

5:00take my word for it. Have a look at some

5:03of these images here of people that have

5:05gone from

5:07awkward motions to incredible impact

5:09positions

5:10using one hand.

5:29So, it's amazing, isn't it? The

5:30difference is that this is such an

5:32amazing exercise. You need patience,

5:34though.

5:35The reason why I'm still going to be in

5:36a job because most of peop- most people

5:38or most golfers, they just won't like

5:40hitting bad shots. So, they won't have

5:41the patience to do this. But, if you do,

5:44you will naturally develop some

5:45incredible mechanics. It And you'll

5:48learn the sensation of the golf swing.

5:51So, let's hit a few shots and I'll show

5:53you how you can break this down and then

5:54practice it.

6:07Absolutely dead straight. And this

6:08here's the other thing. Here's the

6:10feelings I get from this.

6:13I'm turning here. My body turns. I'm

6:16keeping naturally, by the way. This

6:17feels like a more angle in my wrist

6:19here. Cuz that's the only way I can keep

6:21the club face square. If I just let this

6:23go,

6:24I'm going to hook it all the way to the

6:25left.

6:26Do you know what? Nobody slices with

6:28this. Nobody comes over the top.

6:31Everyone gets the right sequence. Cuz

6:32you know what? This just feels strange.

6:35You just wouldn't do it, right? So,

6:38how does it work and can it work with

6:40things like driver?

6:43It can indeed.

6:45Have a look at this.

7:04Can it work with a short game?

7:08So, here's Stefan.

7:10Where are you from, Stefan?

7:11Switzerland.

7:12Swiss has come from Switzerland. He's

7:14trying to learn to play bunker. There he

7:15is with one hand in the pocket.

7:18Ah, look at that. Pops it out

7:20beautifully.

7:21Easy.

7:23It works with everything. It's just

7:27brilliant. It will give you so much feel

7:31for the golf swing, it is just untrue.

7:34Yes, you're going to struggle with it

7:35sometimes at the start, but I've had

7:37guys who have literally come up and

7:39almost started hit it it straight away.

7:42Let me grab driver for you and show you

7:44how it works your driver.

7:47So, you grab driver, people think my

7:48god, driver's going to be like super

7:49difficult with this. Do you know what?

7:51It's just the same. Swing back.

7:55Swing through. And all I'm going to do

7:57here is nice and smooth.

7:58Hand beyond the back.

8:00Back here.

8:02Through to here.

8:07And what's fascinating about I actually

8:09hit that one to the right. Brilliant.

8:11Why? I got incredible feedback from that

8:13what I did. Why did I go go to the right

8:15there?

8:16I could feel my hips slide into this

8:19position here and hit it out to the

8:21right. Do you know what? With two hands,

8:23I may have recovered that. I don't want

8:25to have a swing that is recovering uh

8:27this. These swings like that are

8:28inconsistent. This will train you to

8:31swing fantastically well. Once you've

8:34got the sensation of stuff like this,

8:36all you got to do then

8:38is build up the practice

8:42with this. So, if you kind of in a

8:43sense, you can make some swings here.

8:46Just feel like you're finishing nice and

8:48short first.

8:51Feel that motion here. Don't be trying

8:52to swing all the way through. That just

8:54gets the arm being very, very active.

8:57This is all about helping you feel and

8:59control this motion. So, you get

9:02yourself set.

9:04Feel that motion here. Maybe stopping

9:05almost there.

9:07Putting then the lead hand in and maybe

9:08just hitting a few shots now.

9:27Kind of getting that sensation. So,

9:30what you're doing with this is the

9:31one-handed exercise simply helps you

9:34develop a swing without your

9:36manipulation because

9:39it just takes your strength away. So, be

9:41a child again. Get that one-handed out.

9:43Start to hit some golf balls one-handed.

9:45Gradually build it up. Let's summarize

9:48briefly.

9:49What is it?

9:51Nothing complicated. You're simply

9:52playing golf one-handed. It works for

9:54every shot. You can chip with this. You

9:56can putt with this. You can play bunkers

9:58with this. You can do everything with

9:59this.

10:00Once you got the feel of this,

10:02when you swing back, you can actually

10:04feel, well, where would I put my

10:05takeaway if it was one-handed?

10:07Well, I'd put it there. I won't put it

10:08around here. Then you can put this hand

10:10on and go, "Wow, that is a very

10:11different position."

10:13Where am I swinging through to? Work on

10:14the halfway position here. Well, that's

10:17very different cuz normally

10:19I'm here or

10:20here. So, straight away, all these

10:22feelings become different. Let the

10:25one-handed swing be your coach. So, so

10:29important. Hope you enjoyed the

10:31training. If you did, and do you know

10:33what? Please recommend this to as many

10:34people as you can. It's such a simple

10:36way of getting people to play really,

10:39really good golf.

10:41I I haven't released it today. I kind of

10:43kept it to myself, but I just want to

10:44share this with the world. It's It's so

10:46It works so, so well. It really, really

10:48does.

10:49So, if you're new to the channel, press

10:51that subscribe button so I can send you

10:52more videos like this every single week.

10:54But until next week, have a great

10:56golfing week.
