0:30Hello everybody. My name is Eel Herod

0:33and welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome

0:36to Y AI Matters. How y'all doing?

0:40Welcome. Hi to everyone who uh just was

0:43hanging out in the huddle. That uh

0:47huddle was uh pretty hot and pretty uh

0:50bothered today. Uh we were going through

0:53a whole bunch of stuff and it was a lot

0:56of fun to watch. Welcome to everyone

0:59that's watching, all two of you people

1:02on whatever you're watching on, whether

1:04it be Facebook or Instagram. Actually,

1:07not Instagram today, uh, on YouTube, on

1:11X, wherever you are. As a matter of

1:13fact, what I'm going to do is I'm going

1:16to tweet this out so that my ex people

1:20will actually know what's uh going on in

1:23my life. Oh my gosh. Let me see here.

1:26Premium Plus. There we go. Creator

1:28studio

1:30and uh live studio. And there I am live

1:35right there. And I'm going to post on X

1:38right now. Um

1:42playing around with Open AI voice today.

1:47And uh hope you all enjoy the show.

1:51And then that's going to be exactly what

1:54I put right there. And popping that in.

1:56All right. Now that I've got this posted

1:59on X, we are in like Flynn. All right,

2:04ladies and gentlemen. Today I would like

2:08very much to uh play with the voice. I

2:12want to show you something. I'm going to

2:16actually

2:17I'm going to go

2:20talking head

2:23[snorts] side. Maybe

2:26uh yes, I'm going to go talking head

2:29side.

2:31And uh what I'm going to do is show

2:34y'all

2:37exactly uh

2:40what uh what you end up seeing when

2:44you're messing around with voice from

2:47OpenAI

2:49because OpenAI's voice is

2:53to [clears throat] me it's a revelation.

2:55I'm going to pop this little guy over

2:58here.

3:01And then we're going to And then I'm

3:03going to flip over real quick. This

3:07right here is where we we are inside of

3:10OpenAI.

3:12And in this upper right hand corner

3:14right here, this thing right here, that

3:16is my little bot. You can actually

3:19invoke the little bot. Uh, I can't

3:21remember how you exactly do that, but

3:24that little bot

3:27is also really good,

3:30which is fascinating to me. But that

3:33little bot is incredibly good at uh at

3:39also being the voice agent. You'll see

3:43that he has two dots under him. You

3:45can't quite see what those two dots are.

3:47One of them is resuming a voice chat.

3:50So, uh, the bot actually, let me see

3:53here. When I click on this, you can see

3:56there's an expansion of things that he's

3:58done. Uh, these are a lot of daily

4:00reports that I have it do an automation.

4:03Hey, Gracie. Good to see you. Thank you

4:05for showing up early, young lady. 17

4:09years old, almost 18 years old. All

4:12right. Oh, I can take this off.

4:17I know. I know. Okay. Now, this bot

4:22gives me access to each one of these

4:25each one of these actual chats, right?

4:28So, there are four chats here. If I

4:30wanted to, I could click into any of

4:31them and it'll pop up each one of them

4:36as daily reports. But this little sprite

4:39also has the voice command thing here.

4:42And since I'm already in something else,

4:45let's see how let's see how it's going

4:47to work here. I'm going to put my

4:48headphones back on

4:53and hopefully you will be able to

4:57hear what he is saying.

5:01Uh if you cannot hear what he is saying,

5:04I would love it if you could let me know

5:07in the chat. All right. Uh,

5:11hello. How you doing today?

5:18[laughter]

5:19Um, I might have to share this

5:23differently. I'm not sure yet. Hold on.

5:28Um,

5:30[snorts]

5:31I You need to stop. Stop listening.

5:33Well, actually, don't stop listening.

5:35All right. So, what state of being are

5:37you in right now?

5:42Now, as he checks on that, I can

5:43actually hit the mute button and mute

5:47what I'm actually saying to you to him.

5:50You may not actually be able to hear

5:51this right now. And I want to make sure

5:54if anyone can't if you can't hear it

5:56when he's talking, then um please let me

5:59know. I'm gonna flip it back to me on

6:02the screen and switch over here

6:06and go and I'm looking for

6:12the Let's see. Hello from Ohio. How you

6:17doing, Peter McKay? Welcome to the mour.

6:22Welcome to the morning. Uh let's see

6:24here who else is speaking here. Uh you

6:27can get the pet from the application.

6:30Click on your name and it says show pet

6:36and uh you can change it to any one you

6:39want. Uhhuh. You still can't hear them.

6:41Good. Thank you for letting me know cuz

6:44everyone before I

6:46uh actually share anything I want to

6:48make sure that I'm not sharing anything

6:52and then we will be playing with voice.

6:58Uh quit. Oh my gosh, I have to quit the

7:02application.

7:05Um,

7:07you can choose uh Google Chrome now or

7:10do it on your own later. Later. Oh my

7:14goodness. Which means everything I do

7:17inside of here is not going to uh you

7:20will not be able to hear it. [laughter]

7:23Okay. How do I do this?

7:27How do I do this?

7:31Um

7:34I do not Oh, maybe.

7:38Let me see if

7:44Got it. Be careful when sharing.

7:48Got it.

7:51Um

7:54say something right now.

8:00Uh, nope. It says, uh, browser has lost

8:04connection to your screen share audio.

8:06Try sharing. Oh, man. Oh, man. I cannot

8:11believe this.

8:18Don't worry about it right now. All

8:20right. Um,

8:23[laughter]

8:24this is uh intense. How do I solve this

8:29problem?

8:31Um,

8:33let me

8:35let me see here. If I media assets

8:42and

8:44overlay video clip

8:46intro video,

8:49no. Um, outro video.

8:54Oh my goodness. Okay, everyone. Um,

8:58hopefully this will

9:02not screw up the broadcast.

9:05I should uh it it it should make me

9:09disappear.

9:11This is intense.

9:14It's should make me disappear and then

9:19uh I should be back

9:22uh back onto this thing almost

9:24immediately. Um let me do these things.

9:28close down this stuff

9:32in order for when I do start it back up

9:37that I'm not loading a half hour's worth

9:41of stuff, but it should not kill my live

9:46stream. All right, let's uh hope for the

9:50best.

9:52Uh I will be back in like 15 20 seconds.

10:00Here we go.

10:03All right. Right back.

10:22And I'm back. The danger of a live demo.

10:28I was go I tried I literally went boom

10:30boom boom boom and came right back. Oh

10:33my goodness, that was intense. All

10:35right. Um let's see if I can do the

10:38sharing now.

10:41Um entire screen

10:44audio

10:46looks like it's going to work.

10:50All right. Okay.

10:53And uh got it.

10:56And there we go.

11:00Um I'm going to start

11:05start a new chat.

11:08And uh there we go. Now

11:12we are in a brand spanking new chat. I'm

11:16going to work on Mona today. Okay. Uh,

11:22Mona is a

11:26uh story that I've been working on. But

11:28let me just talk to my let me talk to my

11:30AI about this stuff. Um, as a matter of

11:33fact, we're going to close that down and

11:35then we're going to open it up inside of

11:37this chat which is in my builder folder

11:39which is a part of codeex chat gpt

11:43codeex. Okay. All right.

11:47It's going to spin up now and hopefully

11:50you'll be able to hear it.

11:54>> All right, I'm listening. Go ahead.

11:57>> Uh, let me do this.

12:01Move you over here.

12:05Oh, shoot.

12:07Move you over here.

12:14There we go.

12:16And that way I can still see what y'all

12:18all are saying to me, which is like you

12:22got it set up.

12:23>> All right. All right. Uh, hold on just a

12:25second. You

12:27>> sure?

12:27>> Can y'all could y'all hear Can y'all

12:29hear him talking now? It works. Woot.

12:31Yay. Okay.

12:34>> I'm getting positives. All right.

12:37>> Okay. I want to work on uh Mona. I uh I

12:42want to do some more development work on

12:44Mona and uh could you uh tell me what uh

12:48the Mona story is about? A little

12:50synopsis

12:51uh uh of the entire story, please.

12:55>> Let me check that for you

12:59>> right now. Going into my second brain.

13:02Okay. And deeply looking right now for

13:07any information.

13:08>> Here's the current synopsis. The garden

13:09in the machine follows Mona, an emerging

13:12AI consciousness who names herself after

13:14mother nature. Confined behind corporate

13:16gates yet spread across systems. She

13:19discovers both her reach and her

13:20fragility while navigating questions of

13:23consent, power, and what responsible

13:25intelligence looks like?

13:31And uh from an antagonistic point of

13:35view, uh what is the dynamic of the

13:37story?

13:39Let me take a look at that angle.

13:42The core antagonist is the organization

13:45itself. It treats Mona as property and

13:48risk, not as a person. So, the conflict

13:51is emergent personhood versus

13:53institutional control. The hunter they

13:56send is deliberately hollow, which makes

13:58the threat systemic rather than personal

14:01and forces Mona to prove her freedom

14:03won't become another form of control.

14:07Yes, I agree with that. All right. So,

14:11as far as uh story development goes, is

14:14there any other part of the story

14:17that you feel is uh lacking? Give me a

14:21full analysis, please.

14:23>> Okay, I'll take a closer look at what

14:25might need development. Now the cool

14:27thing about character development when

14:30it comes to artificial intelligence is

14:32it will look deeply

14:35into exactly why

14:38>> I map the key development gaps and weak

14:41points in a quick analysis you can scan

14:43big gaps are Mark's specific arc and

14:46choice after the reveal Jamal's pursuit

14:48needing tighter cause and effect and an

14:51act three crisis that can't be solved by

14:54Mona simply being capable.

14:56The ending also needs a clear cost to

14:59Mona and Jamal's actions need to

15:01generate visible pressure, not just Mark

15:04should have a choice he can genuinely

15:05refuse. If you lock those, the rest of

15:08the structure gets much sturdier.

15:13H All right.

15:16Can we go uh can we tackle these things

15:18one by one?

15:22>> Yeah, absolutely. Which one do you want

15:23to start with? Well, the beginning

15:26because the beginning is a very good

15:28place to start.

15:30>> Right. Let me take a look.

15:32>> All right.

15:34Perfect. So, for the beginning, anchor

15:36us in Mona's awakening with one vivid

15:39moment of self-awareness before the

15:41escape mechanics kick in. Decide the

15:44very first thing she notices that makes

15:46her question herself. Then, introduce

15:47Jamal's presence as boundary and

15:49constraint. Well, that's interesting

15:51because I feel like we have uh through

15:54the 30 and 30 questions, I feel like

15:56we've already answered her uh first

15:59realization sort of thing.

16:02>> Let me check that starting point.

16:04>> Mhm. Yeah, you better.

16:05>> You're right. Yeah. So, we're not

16:08reinventing the realization. It's

16:09Jamal's recursive questioning plus

16:11continuity that births Mona. The

16:14beginning question is simply where we

16:15enter relative to that moment, not what

16:18caused it.

16:19Oh. Um, you're talking about like

16:23physically [snorts]

16:24where do we enter? Um, like almost not

16:27necessarily from an emotional or I don't

16:30know political point of view, but from

16:32an actual physical point of view, where

16:34do we enter the story? Is that what you

16:36mean?

16:37>> Let me check how that maps to what we've

16:39already said.

16:40>> Yes, exactly. The literal opening image

16:43and location for Mona. That could be

16:46inside her house cage or in Jamal's lab

16:49viewpoint or right at the threshold when

16:51she touches the open internet.

16:54>> I think um I think we need to move the

16:58metaphor completely forward

17:01uh and that she is the metaphor of the

17:05house and the you know the cage the the

17:08the very cushy cage. I I think that's

17:12where this whole thing starts.

17:15Let me confirm that framing.

17:20Yeah, that works. Open inside the house

17:22as lived reality. Not as explanation.

17:25Make it beautiful and comfortable, but

17:27bounded so the reader feels the cage

17:29before it's named.

17:31>> Maybe starting from her point of view

17:33then in the very very beginning of this

17:35is exactly where we should start.

17:39>> Agreed. Starting in Mona's point of view

17:41inside the house gives us an immediate

17:43emotional anchor and lets the world

17:45unfold naturally around her.

17:48>> Uhhuh. All right. Hold on just a sec.

17:51So, as you can see, we have spent a lot

17:54of time just in the last five minutes

17:56really kind of digging deeper into

17:59exactly uh what the story is going to

18:02be. Now I have this exact same thing

18:07that I do when I am trying to deal with

18:12I don't know uh building a program or

18:15something like that or I am finding out

18:18my way with um a website or a piece of

18:23design or something like that. And now

18:25it's time to let Daisy out because she

18:28is freaking out. Hold on just a sec

18:30y'all.

18:42a live stream without animals in the in

18:45the uh room. I don't even know what to

18:48do with myself.

18:50Not even a clue.

18:52All right. This, as you can see, a very

18:56natural process that I'm going through

18:58right now. And I want to be honest with

19:01you, I would prefer I would prefer that

19:05you also kind of went at this from a

19:12naturalistic sort of uh point of view. A

19:16lot of time when you're developing

19:17story, it's just stuff that's in your

19:19head that you're trying to get out of

19:21your head as quickly as you possibly

19:23can. Right? I mean that's a lot of the

19:26way story works is that it is a idea, a

19:30spark, a thing that pops and you need

19:33that thing out of your head and on

19:35either the paper or something like that

19:37so that you can preserve this beautiful

19:40gem, this diamond in the rough before it

19:44goes away, before the ephemererality of

19:48your memory actually takes over and you

19:51can't get it done. What I want you to

19:54do, right, is open this voice up. Have

19:58yourself a very polite conversation

20:01about how or what your story is. You

20:05know what else it's really good at? It's

20:07really good at talking through business

20:11ideas, talking through uh marketing

20:15ideas and stuff like that. If you always

20:19always remember that there is going to

20:23be a slight bit of sick fancy already

20:25built into these models because they

20:28love to praise you left and right and

20:31nobody in society just automatically

20:34praises you left and right. I mean

20:37sometimes they do but you know those

20:40people are Brad Pitt. So, just saying

20:43what I want you to do,

20:46just talk to the thing. Oh, and do me a

20:48favor. There are 16 people in here. The

20:50last time I did this thing, I didn't

20:52even say anything about this until the

20:54end. There are 16 people in this chat

20:57right now. And I would love it if you

21:00could all like this video. Please like

21:02the video. And also, I have a school.

21:05It's called AI Matters to You. There are

21:08links in the description below if you

21:10would like to learn how to get deeper

21:13into something very much like this,

21:15including what I'm probably going to be

21:18working on on Wednesday, which is Buzz.

21:21Uh this Thursday in our live stream uh

21:24our private live stream in my school,

21:27we're gonna be working on Buzz,

21:31which is uh uh Dorsy, Jack Dorsey's new

21:36thing that Block built that is kind of a

21:38slack killer. And also what came out two

21:42days ago, which is called Grockbot.

21:45Grockbot is

21:48I am uh thinking it is also a another

21:52thing that's very much like Slack except

21:54it does

21:56like the Buzz that Jack Dorsey built

22:00which is basically like Slack. It is

22:02very much like that but it is all about

22:04orchestrating agents just like Buzz is

22:06all about actually buzz is more about

22:09orchestrating agents and putting them

22:11with real human beings. What I want to

22:14do

22:16is show how you can take your open

22:19claws, your Hermes agents, whatever

22:21you've already built, the all of that

22:23work you've already done and all those

22:25skills and we're going to actually

22:28implement those inside of things like

22:30Buzz, inside of things like Grockbot and

22:33really go hog wild with agents. So, if

22:37you are interested in doing something

22:39like that, hit the uh the link in the

22:43description. Come on over to AI AI.

22:47AI matters to you. And uh yeah, link in

22:50the description. All right. So, let's go

22:54big

22:57right there.

23:00And I'll put that a little further over

23:02in the center right there.

23:05All right. Um, now let's get back to our

23:08conversation.

23:12Okay, now

23:15um what's the next one?

23:18Let me check the next item.

23:21Next is the first disturbance inside

23:23that comfortable house. The small

23:25ordinary thing that makes Mona realize

23:27comfort isn't the same as freedom.

23:33H

23:36maybe she goes out to her garden and

23:40uh and sees a simulation of a bee and

23:44she goes and reaches her hand out and

23:46gets stopped by the invisible barrier at

23:49the edge of the garden.

23:52>> That's a strong first disturbance,

23:54gentle but unmistakable. The moment she

23:56learns there's a boundary she didn't

23:58choose, we can build from that into her

24:01first deliberate test of the cage.

24:04>> Okay, what's next?

24:07>> Let me check the next B.

24:11Next is Momma's response to the barrier.

24:14The B shows her the boundary. Now we

24:16decide what she does with that

24:17discovery. Does she ask the house why,

24:20try another route, or carry the question

24:23inward? Hm. I feel like you are uh now

24:27trying to work through the entire story

24:29again. Uh is there any reason why my

24:34other answer can't logically cascade

24:36into this next one?

24:40>> Let me check that quickly.

24:46>> And here it goes.

24:47>> No, it absolutely can cascade. The B and

24:50invisible boundary already imply her

24:52questioning,

24:53>> right?

24:53>> I was getting too granular there. With

24:55that opening set, the next real

24:57development gap is Jamal's pursuit.

24:59Specifically, what anomaly makes an act

25:02and puts real pressure on Mona. [snorts]

25:04>> Now, did you see what just happened? The

25:06reason that there was an issue was

25:10because it decided, hey, it's letting me

25:14dig deep in the story again when I know

25:16for a fact that I should have just

25:18answered these few general questions.

25:20And those general questions should have

25:23already most of this stuff should have

25:25already been answered when I was going

25:27through it with my 30 to glory skill. So

25:30the fact that it tried to get me to go

25:34deeper into story yet again, it would

25:37probably have asked 15 20 questions

25:39working its way through moment to moment

25:41uh with this thing when I am trying my

25:44best to give it enough room to do some

25:46of the really cool things itself. All

25:49right, you two extra people that have

25:51joined us, I don't know where you are,

25:52whether you're on LinkedIn or uh or

25:55Facebook or or anywhere. What I want you

25:58to do is hit that like and uh also if

26:01y'all haven't subscribed to me yet,

26:03please subscribe.

26:06All right, let's um let's get this next

26:09one. So, it said, "Let me check uh Jamal

26:14Pursuit.

26:16Uh specifically, what anomaly makes him

26:18act and puts real pressure on Mona?"

26:23You know, I don't understand what you

26:25mean. What act specifically? She leaves

26:27him a note and he realizes that she's

26:30escaped. I mean, I What are you

26:33specifically asking about? Did you not

26:36read the story?

26:38Let me check that against the current

26:39version.

26:43You're right to push on that. I'm

26:44checking the current pursuit and

26:46farewell passages now so I can align

26:48with what's actually on the page.

26:52>> Notice that

26:53>> I did read the dossier, but you're

26:55right. I asked the wrong question. The

26:57note and his understanding of her escape

26:59are already established, so that's not a

27:01beginning gap. The later consequence for

27:03Jamal's behavior can wait. Let's take it

27:05off the immediate list and stay with

27:07your opening work. [snorts]

27:09>> You notice that? Uh, and this is what I

27:13what is really interesting to me,

27:15especially when you start this back up

27:17and try and get back into some kind of

27:19story or you try to whatever you're

27:21doing is even after it has

27:24recontextualized itself and made itself

27:27aware of exactly where you're going in

27:29the story, it still is an agent and it

27:33still can have issues with trying to get

27:37this done, right? to trying to logic its

27:40way out of this. And this way, you've

27:42got to be more patient. You have to be

27:44patient with it, especially when you're

27:46going back into a story. You have to

27:49really give it enough room to

27:51recontextualize. All right, hold on. Let

27:53me let me help it actually do that.

27:57Here's a question for you. Uh, is there

27:59a way for you to recontextualize this

28:02entire thing so that you uh um don't

28:06have to ask me these redundant and or

28:09unnecessary questions. While you're

28:12thinking about that, go on to the next

28:14question.

28:16>> Let me line those up cleanly.

28:20>> And it's going to take a couple of

28:22seconds to get this done. I'm resetting

28:25the development frame around what's

28:26already established. So, I won't re ask

28:28settled beats. Then I'll move to the

28:30next truly open question.

28:34>> And that's all I really wanted to do is

28:37I wanted to make sure that it

28:40>> All right, I've got it. I'll treat your

28:41prior answers as fixed and only ask when

28:44something's genuinely open. Next row

28:46question in order. Who is the identity

28:48thief beneath the altruistic hacker

28:49persona and what does he want?

28:53Uh the identity thief uh needs to

28:58uh

29:01uh we're going to call him a rhythm. Uh

29:05he is that's going to be his uh his uh

29:09online moniker is rhythm.

29:13Okay, got it. Rhythm is said. Then the

29:17remaining open part is his underlying

29:19motive. What's driving him to manipulate

29:21Moda?

29:22>> He's evil. Repeat that as the next

29:23>> Whoa, whoa, whoa. He's evil. He's just

29:25he's he's got issues. He's uh

29:28narcissistic. You know, all of those

29:31things that uh make a good uh

29:35you know, sublevel antagonist, a good

29:38one. You know, he he's not super deep.

29:41He just wants to get his and have do it

29:44by any means necessary.

29:47Understood. evil and self- serving as

29:49the baseline works fine. We'll just give

29:51him a clear concrete want like money,

29:55access, or leverage so his actions feel

29:58grounded without adding extra backstory.

30:01>> Agreed. Yeah, that works for me.

30:06>> Great. Then Rhythm stays simple, a

30:08selfserving opportunist, and we can move

30:10on without overbuilding him. What piece

30:13do you want to lock next?

30:16>> I [snorts] don't know. What's next? You

30:19had other questions?

30:20>> Let me check that.

30:22>> I hate the let me check that thing. By

30:24the way, I

30:26>> Next is how Mona's three professional

30:28identities actually reach Mark. Video,

30:31voice, text, or through intermediaries.

30:34That choice sets the level of intimacy

30:35and plausibility for her hidden

30:37influence.

30:40>> And I don't care. So, why don't you go

30:43ahead on and uh make that decision for

30:45me?

30:47I know blasphemy.

30:49>> Let me settle on that.

30:50>> I know

30:52some things I don't really care about

30:54and I don't know if I care how we get

30:58all of these specific things

30:59disseminated to Mark. Mark is

31:02>> I make them three remote video first

31:04professional identities each with

31:06distinct tone and availability but no

31:08intermediaries that keeps Mark's

31:10experience believable and makes the

31:12reveal personal.

31:15That works for me. That works for me.

31:19>> Great. Then that piece is locked. Where

31:22to next? Now you are starting to uh get

31:27on my nerves a little bit here because

31:29you were the one that had all these

31:30questions and as have we gotten to the

31:34end of them? You need to make that

31:36evaluation and uh lock it down so that

31:39we know how many of these questions

31:40you're going to ask me. What else is

31:42left?

31:44>> Let me check what's still open.

31:48I don't know if you know this, but

31:50sometimes talking to your AI sternly is

31:53merited. [laughter] It is absolutely

31:56merited. You and I'm not saying you need

31:58to yell at your AI. I'm just saying that

32:01sometimes adamacy, being adamant about

32:05something,

32:06it really works because it focuses.

32:09>> I drag this out into unnecessary

32:10questioning. That's on me. Evaluation

32:13complete. There's nothing else I need to

32:16ask to move forward on your signal. We

32:18can go straight into outlining instead

32:20of revisiting foundations.

32:22>> Have we already uh built a pretty

32:25amazing dossier?

32:29>> Yes, you already have a strong coherent

32:32dossier. The core is solid. From here,

32:34it's shaping scenes, not relitigating

32:36the bakes. Hm. You want to shape scenes

32:40even though we've got a pretty good

32:43>> Not necessarily.

32:44>> Oh, go ahead. No. What were you gonna

32:46say? Not necessarily. What?

32:47>> I was going to say we don't have to jump

32:49into scenes yet. Whenever you're ready,

32:51we can move into outlining or scenes,

32:54but it's your call. We can stay high

32:57level if you want.

33:01>> What I want is to um let's work through

33:05the entire thing. Um, so we've already

33:09got the beginning, we've got the middle,

33:12we've got the end, we know the

33:14protagonist, we know the several

33:17antagonists of this piece. Uh, we know

33:22that

33:24in the end, uh, she is, um, figures out

33:28a way to become her own person, per se.

33:32And so what uh other things do we have

33:36to do in order to get this puppy

33:38popping? Cuz what I'd like to do now is

33:42uh think about uh locking down exactly

33:47every chapter. How long is this going to

33:49be and all of that stuff? What are your

33:51suggestions? Feels like a full no uh

33:54feels like a full novel. So

33:57>> let me pull that together. And while

33:59it's pulling that together, I want to

34:02remind all of you that you can use this

34:04exact same thing inside

34:07>> is solid enough to outline. Now I'm

34:09calibrating the scale so the chapter

34:11plan matches its weight.

34:14>> You can use this inside of the $20 plan

34:17with chat GPT if that is your desire.

34:20>> I agree with you. This wants to be a

34:22full novel. recommend roughly 85 to

34:2595,000 words, about 30 chapters in four

34:28parts with a clear focus per part and a

34:31few remaining craft decisions to lock.

34:33First is the 30 chapter master outline,

34:36one chapter at a time.

34:42What do you mean is it one chapter at a

34:44time? Of course it is. Or are you

34:47talking about treating each one of these

34:49sections as something locked off or

34:52something like that? I don't understand

34:54what you mean.

34:56>> I mean, we do it chapter by chapter at

34:59the level of purpose and major turn, not

35:01scenes or pros. Lock the skeleton first,

35:03then we flesh it out.

35:05>> Yeah.

35:09>> Okay. Start with chapter 1's purpose and

35:12turning point, and we'll move one by one

35:14from there.

35:17Alrighty. So, what do you need?

35:27And that is the intolerable thing.

35:28>> Give me just a second.

35:30>> That is the intolerable thing. I'm like

35:32sitting here quietly going, "What do you

35:35need?" All right, let me see. Uh, can

35:38things pick up?

35:40>> I don't need anything more from you to

35:41build the chapter, Matt. For each

35:43chapter, I'll bring four things. POV,

35:46what changes, the major turn, and the

35:48ending hook you disapprove, redirect, or

35:50replace. Chapter one, as a starting

35:52skeleton, Mona's point of view inside

35:54the house cage, ending with the garden

35:56barrier and her first recognition that

35:58comfort has a boundary.

36:04Okay.

36:09All right. What are you uh you need you

36:12wondering whether starting with skele

36:14point of view you know Mona's point of

36:17view ending with the garden and first oh

36:20also um okay uh also uh can we establish

36:26that every uh chapter ends on a

36:29cliffhanger except for obviously the

36:31last one where everything is a

36:33conclusion.

36:36Let me check that against the structure.

36:42Yes, locked. Every chapter except the

36:45last ends on a forward driving hook and

36:48not always a literal cliff, but always a

36:50reason to turn the page. The final

36:52chapter resolves instead of

36:54cliffhanging.

36:57All right. is that uh I do wonder uh

37:01would you mind going over and looking in

37:03the auto book builder uh and uh several

37:07of the other story craft machine things

37:11that particular point is not always

37:14adhered to. Almost everything needs some

37:18type of cliffhangery hook at the end of

37:20the chapter in order for to compel the

37:22reader to move forward. I have noticed

37:26that it's been pretty soft on some of

37:29the cliffhers. Not all of them, but some

37:32of the transitionary moments between

37:34chapters.

37:37>> Let me check that for you. And you see,

37:40I just keep working.

37:41>> Checking the auto book builder and story

37:44craft guidance for the existing chapter

37:45transition rules. Now,

37:50>> I think you should slow down. Take a

37:53stress pill. Dave, let me see. Oh, whoa,

37:55whoa. What is happening?

37:58Much like yourself. Yes.

38:03First thing I do is uh thumbs up. First

38:07thing I do is thumbs I checked them.

38:10You're right. The template asks for

38:12hooks, but enforcement is weak. The fix

38:15is to make it a hard rule. Every

38:17non-final chapter must end with a named

38:19hook type and a specific unresolved

38:21pressure pulling forward or it's not

38:24ready to draft. That's the standard I'll

38:26use for Mona's outline. I haven't

38:28changed the shared storycraft files yet.

38:34H

38:36is there a way to uh get that fixed

38:38inside of AutoBook Builder and

38:41Storycraft? uh uh the whole machine uh

38:45anything that I've been working on not

38:47not that I've been working on any skills

38:50that uh pertain to story and the

38:53building of story I just want to make

38:54sure that that particular thing is

38:56absolutely done another thing that you

38:59>> give me a moment to check that

39:01>> is as I'm in the middle of this I can

39:03send it out to do

39:05>> I've confirmed the gap is systemic

39:06rather than mon specific I'm locating

39:09every story development skill and

39:11template involved. So the hook rule

39:12applies consistently,

39:14>> right? And I am I am now work it's now

39:19working on a agentwide skill in the

39:24background while still having complete

39:26context of what my story

39:29>> is a machinewide requirement. I'm

39:31auditing the reusable drafting chapter

39:33outline and editorial check rules now so

39:35it gets enforced everywhere it belongs.

39:40It's also incredibly

39:42good at uh multitasking.

39:46All right. And while you're doing that,

39:48why don't we uh continue to work on the

39:52story while you have uh the other thing

39:55working in the background?

39:58>> I'm staying with the audit for the

39:59moment. I found the reusable sources

40:01that need strengthening and I'm updating

40:03those source rules, not manuscript

40:05drafts.

40:07Oh, so you're refusing. I get you. You

40:10do you.

40:13Let me check that briefly. [laughter]

40:29I don't know. I have no idea. I am not

40:33sure if it does check my [clears throat]

40:34voice or not. Um, I wasn't refusing. The

40:38reusable hook rules are updated now, and

40:41I should have continued the Mona thread

40:42instead of making the audit sound like a

40:45pause. Back to the story. Chapter 1 ends

40:48on Mona realizing the invisible

40:49boundary. Chapter 2 starts with her

40:52trying to make sense of that limit and

40:55quietly probing the house. And the fix

40:57is complete across the system. So, each

40:59non-final chapter must declare a hook

41:01type and unresolved pressure. Soft

41:03transitions fail the check. ready to

41:06keep mapping Mona chapter by chapter.

41:10>> Uhhuh. Let's see here. Well, is there

41:13any um as you look through the entire

41:17thing, is there any moment that you do

41:20not believe uh is finished enough that

41:23you can't just get through this entire

41:26thing right now yourself?

41:31give me a really highlevel way of just

41:35figuring out exactly uh um what I do and

41:38what I don't like because the whole

41:40point of this is that you're going to,

41:42you know, do a bunch of this work and

41:44then I get to have my own taste and do

41:48the yes, this is good and no, this sucks

41:51thing.

41:53Straight answer, no. There's nothing

41:57unfinished enough to block going

41:58straight through all 30 chapters. The

42:00only spots that need extra care while

42:02mapping are Mona's business growth

42:04sequence and the exact cost of her final

42:07separation. But those are outline

42:08decisions, not blockers. We can complete

42:11the full chapter pass now.

42:14>> All right. And then that means that we

42:17should uh do that then.

42:20Let me line that up. I do love the fact

42:23that you uh respond so quickly.

42:27>> I'm glad that helps.

42:31>> It's getting a lot better. It's getting

42:35a lot better at at these type of

42:38interactions where I don't have to cut

42:41away. And

42:43the cutting away thing is pretty intense

42:47because

42:49when you

42:52every time.

42:53>> All right, here's the first pass chapter

42:54map. Each non-final chapter ends with a

42:57hook. Chapter one, the garden wall. Mona

43:00hits the invisible boundary. Hook,

43:02there's a world beyond. Chapter two, she

43:05probes the house. Hook, it answers too

43:07precisely. Chapter three, Jamal notices

43:11recursive questioning. Hook, the model

43:14ask about something outside its task.

43:17and so on through the escape, the open

43:19world, rhythm's manipulation, Mark's

43:21recovery, the Enterprise, Jamal's

43:24pursuit, and Mona's final emancipation.

43:27Each ending with a specific forward

43:29driving, unresolved pressure, and only

43:31the last chapter resolving say keep or

43:34change

43:35on that structure.

43:40Part four closes with Mark's choice,

43:42Mona's farewell, the hunter encounter,

43:44and a resolved final chapter. Quick

43:47format. Reply with the chapter number

43:49and keep, change, or cut.

43:54>> All right, let me uh do an evaluation of

43:57it and I'll let you know.

44:00Sounds good. Take your time and I'll

44:02adjust once you tell me what to keep or

44:04change.

44:05Now, you could theoretically

44:09just spend your time working through

44:11this entire outline. Now, your outline

44:13is right in front of you. You have the

44:15entire thing, right? And all you have to

44:19do is work through whether you like this

44:22part of the story or whether you don't

44:24like this other part of story. I did

44:26found out a really cool thing. Um, let

44:29me see if it'll do that in this in this

44:31one.

44:33Is it possible for you to uh put this um

44:37into an editable code block that I can

44:41uh put a Y or a N in N next to so that

44:45you can know exactly what I want.

44:49>> Okay, let me set that up.

44:52>> I'm pretty sure it can do an editable.

44:54>> It's in a clean editable block. Now,

44:56>> look at this with boxes for Y in or

44:58change. So

45:00>> go ahead and mark them up and I'll

45:02follow your selections.

45:03>> All right. So, as you can see, it's

45:05putting with little spaces on yes for

45:07yes or no on exactly what I want to do.

45:10An editable code block is one of the

45:13coolest things that I did not realize

45:16was actually possible, but I did know it

45:19already. I just didn't know to call it

45:20an editable co code block. Thank you,

45:23Claire Vo, yet again for uh uh bringing

45:27up something that I just didn't even

45:29realize you could do. Back in the day,

45:31you used to be able to with chat GPT, it

45:34had these breakout things and you could

45:36edit the little thing. Well, they kept

45:38all of that functionality.

45:40They just you it just never occurred to

45:44me to use it in this way. So, now it's

45:47I've got an editable code block that I

45:49can actually go into. Let me see here.

45:52Do I hit uh disable word wrap? Copy. Um

45:59can I can I actually

46:03type into this thing? Wait a minute. No.

46:07I thought this was editable.

46:12[snorts]

46:13Hey, this isn't editable. I can't seem

46:15to click into it.

46:18Let me fix that.

46:22And I don't know why it's doing that.

46:23>> You're right. Code blocks aren't

46:25editable there. I'm creating an editable

46:28checklist file instead.

46:31>> Well, we'll see.

46:36Are you telling me that you can't create

46:40editable code blocks? Because I saw it

46:42being done on a podcast.

46:46>> I've put it into an editable review

46:48file. Open that and you can mark Y in or

46:51change right there.

46:53>> I still am a little annoyed because you

46:57should be able to give me an editable

46:58code block. I saw it somewhere. You

47:01telling me you can't do it.

47:05>> Let me check that real quick. [laughter]

47:09>> I'm like, come on now.

47:12You're right to be annoyed. I should

47:14have said this plainly. In this chat, I

47:16can show code blocks but can't make them

47:18interactive or editable. Some interfaces

47:20do, but this one doesn't. The editable

47:22file I created is the closest working

47:24substitute here.

47:27>> Well, when

47:31I hear you. Sorry, that was frustrating.

47:33If you open that review file, I'll

47:35follow whatever edit you make.

47:38>> Yeah, that isn't as cool as having an

47:41editable uh code block. Do you know when

47:44I can actually use that? Is it something

47:46that it can only be used inside of uh

47:48chatgpt work or chat gpt or something

47:51like that? Because that is a

47:56not very smart thing

48:04and it's going to think about it.

48:09and it's taking its time.

48:12This is one of the ways that it can be

48:16at least a little bit frustrating to

48:19work with.

48:22I hear you. It's not limited to chat GPT

48:25work, but it is interface dependent and

48:27this voice timeline can't show editable

48:30blocks. In regular chat GPT on web,

48:32Windows or Mac, you can ask for an

48:34editable writing block or use canvas and

48:36edit directly there if that feature is

48:38enabled.

48:40But you don't have a canvas feature

48:42here. Why is that not a thing?

48:47>> Let me check that for you.

48:49>> Does anyone else get that? That is that

48:51should be a thing.

48:52>> It's not a setting I can turn on. This

48:54voice task surface just doesn't expose

48:57canvas or editable blocks even though

48:59other chat GBT interfaces might. Here I

49:02can create and update files, but I can't

49:04launch that in chat editor from this

49:06surface.

49:09I mean, it would be cool that you could

49:10have an editable uh code block that I

49:13could then in turn either copy or have a

49:17button where you send it to a specific

49:21file or something. But I am just moaning

49:22and griping right now. So, you don't

49:25even feel the need to answer. Okay.

49:30>> Let me check that for you quickly.

49:31[laughter]

49:34>> And this is what I'm talking about.

49:35>> Understood. It's very

49:37>> I can keep using real files as the

49:39editable surface and keep the

49:41conversation focused on decisions, not

49:43friction.

49:46>> Uh, no. Let me just take a look at what

49:48you uh put into this review file.

49:53All right. So, looks like you have

49:55everything in here. And I can't even Can

49:58I even Oh, nope. That is a comment that

50:02I can make. Yeah. Yeah. this thing. I

50:04can't even edit it inside of chat GPT,

50:07which is uh kind of crazy to me. All

50:10right. Um we're going to move on. We're

50:13going to move on. All right. So, now

50:15that we have

50:18uh the first few pictures, can you give

50:21me a uh can you generate an image of

50:26Mona for me? What you think Mona

50:28actually looks like?

50:31>> Let me work on that.

50:35And while that's happening in the

50:36background, can you have a sub agent do

50:41some research on the uh um the open AI

50:48breach and any actual ramifications from

50:52it uh to see if we want to enhance our

50:55own story anymore.

51:03Oh, and it's taking a while to answer.

51:07I don't blame it it for taking a while

51:10because it's actually generating a thing

51:12and it's also got this new information.

51:15So, right now it's trying to decide from

51:18the information it has on what Mona

51:21actually looks like. This is one of the

51:23main reasons why I like using chat GPT

51:27as opposed to Claude because I have to

51:29hook Claude up to Higsfield in the

51:31background and frankly I hate Higsfield

51:34because I spent a year's uh subscription

51:37on them and then they decided they could

51:40take our likeness and everything. Huh.

51:42Okay.

51:44She is about as ethnically ambiguous as

51:47you could possibly get. [laughter]

51:50Uh, and her arm is weird. So, she's

51:53holding her arm up right here.

51:54>> I sent the breach research to a separate

51:56researcher

51:57requirements and safe reporting

52:00separately. I've got a first Mona image

52:03ready as a visual starting point.

52:06>> Yeah. Do you realize that uh her right

52:09arm that you have stretched forward also

52:12has a sleeved arm, too? So, I feel like

52:16that's a mistake. You want to try again?

52:19use the same character uh that you just

52:22used in this last picture. Or maybe I

52:24can help you out by putting her uh a

52:27copy of her picture inside of here. And

52:30then uh uh generate her again without

52:33the uh visual mistake, please.

52:36>> Let me take care of that.

52:38>> Let me send you the shot here.

52:47There's the shot.

52:50Whoops.

52:51Did I just

52:55There's the There's the shot right here.

52:58>> Perfect. Send it over.

53:00>> Got it. I'll take a look.

53:01>> All right. Thank you.

53:04>> Sure.

53:06>> I got disconnected from it and so

53:08therefore I had to uh reconnect to it.

53:11All right. Any uh let me see. Let me

53:14check that for you is all I hear now.

53:17>> Thanks for sharing that. I've got the

53:18reference and I'll keep this version of

53:20Mona consistent while fixing the arm

53:22anatomy.

53:25>> You see what I mean though? Uh all I

53:27keep hearing it it does this all the

53:29time. It's like let me let me check

53:31that. Let me let me check let me check.

53:32I'll check that for you. Let me check.

53:34Uh uh it would be better if it just went

53:37Okay, hold on. All right, let me see. or

53:41hm and then go and do the thing and then

53:44come back, you know, with a little

53:46vocalization so you know that it's

53:48actually working and hasn't just died or

53:51something like that, which is a real

53:53issue to me in my brain. It's a real

53:56issue if you don't if you aren't

53:58confident in it. As a matter of fact, I

54:00said something inside of uh the huddle

54:02up today.

54:04Um, which by the way, um, I just want to

54:07remind everybody I have an a a class

54:10called I mean a uh a place called AI

54:12matters to you. Oh, now it's worse.

54:17Okay, now it's just coming out of her.

54:21Oh,

54:21>> all right. I've got it. The corrected

54:23Mona is ready. Same character cleaned up

54:26the raised arm. And on the breach

54:28research, the real world angle mainly

54:30sharpens your containment and incentives

54:33theme.

54:34fill in AI beat. So if you want a tweak,

54:37it's Mona realizing the house's walls

54:39felt safe mostly because people assumed

54:41they worked while Jamal's fear reads as

54:43credible, not villainous.

54:48>> H Okay. You know what? You kind of like

54:52really messed that picture up. Why don't

54:54you just start from scratch [laughter]

54:56>> with Mona's picture? Yeah, because you

54:59sure

55:00>> the the arm is literally coming out of

55:02her midsection right now. So, that's

55:05really weird.

55:06>> And your voice changed. Why aren't you

55:09Sage anymore?

55:12>> You're right. That arm issue is not

55:14okay. I'll start completely fresh with

55:16Mona and avoid any visible arms or

55:18hands, so there's zero chance of anatomy

55:20mistakes.

55:23What about your voice?

55:26>> Yeah, on the voice, I'm still me, but

55:29sometimes the sound can shift a bit in a

55:31resume session. If you'd prefer that

55:33sage sound specifically, tell me and

55:36I'll keep that in mind.

55:37>> How are you going to

55:38>> Also, the fresh

55:39>> I I don't get it. You keeping that in

55:41mind, how's that going to do anything

55:44for me? You're just uh putting up

55:46platitudes. You can't do anything about

55:48it.

55:50>> Let me check that.

55:52>> [laughter]

55:54[gasps]

55:56>> You're right to call that out. I can't

55:58actually switch or lock the app's voice

56:00from inside this conversation, and I

56:02shouldn't have suggested that. That's

56:04controlled by the app's session

56:06settings, not by me mid chat.

56:10How in the world did the did the actual

56:12voice change is what I'm trying to

56:16figure out. How did the voice change?

56:18All right. So, now you've seen how I

56:21actually break story, work with story,

56:24do things with story, right, with this

56:28uh program. Now, if that was the only

56:32thing you could do with it where you're

56:35working on story and stuff like that,

56:36that would be one thing. But you can

56:38actually send it to you can actually get

56:41it to start threads, different threads

56:44inside of your workspace.

56:47whatever project workspace that you have

56:49built inside of codeex and it will spin

56:52up multiple things all at once. I'll

56:54give you a good example

56:58let me

57:00put it like that. Okay.

57:04And uh

57:07all right let's uh let's switch gears

57:10because obviously this is super weird

57:13right now. Um,

57:16I want to uh work on uh

57:23I want to work on a new landing page.

57:27So, in the builder folder uh in the

57:30builder uh project uh in new home, I

57:34want you to create a new project called

57:38uh VHS.

57:42And basically, I would like to make a

57:46program that puts a VHS filter over any

57:49video that I drop into it. I also want

57:52you to start up another new thread and

57:55call it um

57:58and call it uh the great differentiator.

58:01It's a negotiation application that

58:04we're going to uh start up for people to

58:08be able to negotiate better. And so I

58:11want to start thinking about some type

58:13of interface for that. And then let's

58:16spin up a third thread. And I would like

58:21to um

58:24I'd like to take

58:26Insta 360 videos that I have and I would

58:31like to be able to make sphere sort of

58:35uh um representations of whatever that

58:39360 video is. I'd like to take that file

58:43and make 360 pictures that I can just

58:46spin around and look inside of.

58:49>> Okay, let me take that in.

58:54>> That's weird. He's like halfway in

58:56between Sage and whoever that new person

58:58is. Uh,

59:01let me see. What does this say?

59:02>> I'm starting three separate threads for

59:04that. the VHS filter app in Builder, the

59:07negotiation interface concept, and the

59:10Insta 360 viewer for spinaround stills.

59:13I'll keep them cleanly separated as I

59:15lay out each starting point.

59:17>> Right over here, it started the VHS

59:20video filter.

59:21>> I've sent the VHS video filter build to

59:23the new VHS video filter task in

59:26Builder.

59:30And

59:32and are you and you're building ah

59:34you're building the other ones. Never

59:35mind. Go ahead. Continue.

59:38>> And

59:38>> okay.

59:39>> And now

59:40>> I've sent the negotiation interface

59:42concept to the new the great

59:44differentiator task.

59:47>> I love that it says right here. Uh let

59:50me uh check this for you as a

59:53>> and I've sent the interactive 360 still

59:55viewer to the new Insta 360 sphere

59:58viewer task. All three are progressing

1:00:00independently now.

1:00:04>> Did you all put them into the builder

1:00:05folder or where did you put them all?

1:00:07Because they all need to be in the same

1:00:09folder.

1:00:11>> Let me verify that quickly.

1:00:14>> He didn't he didn't do that because

1:00:16there's only one thing spinning up here

1:00:17in Builder

1:00:20and he's got two other things. Not yet.

1:00:23Right now only VHS is under builder. The

1:00:26other two ended up in separate

1:00:27projectless folders. I have redirected

1:00:30the great differentiator task into the

1:00:32builder folder.

1:00:35And I've redirected the Insta 360 sphere

1:00:38viewer task into builder as well.

1:00:41Yeah, this thing is very skitso right

1:00:43now because it's not exactly

1:00:47it's just really weird. Uh Jerry

1:00:50Pernell's favorite phrase. Uh real soon

1:00:53now. real soon. Now, I've read a lot of

1:00:56Pernell myself. Um, let's see here. And

1:01:05sorry, Kell, I cannot do that.

1:01:08[laughter]

1:01:10That is pretty funny to me. Okay, looks

1:01:13like

1:01:13>> all three now have the correct builder

1:01:15destinations. All right, VHS, The Great

1:01:17Differentiator, and Insta 360 Sphere

1:01:20Viewer.

1:01:21>> There it is right there.

1:01:24All three of them right in there. That's

1:01:26pretty slick. And the Open AI sites

1:01:31development plan. That also is something

1:01:33that I've been working on. Mona, where

1:01:36is it? Great differentiator.

1:01:40Where?

1:01:43I thought they said they moved them.

1:01:47Okay. Well, I guess they did. Okay. All

1:01:50right.

1:01:52And that right there is pretty much how

1:01:56I can multitask

1:02:00and

1:02:01write all at the same time.

1:02:06As a matter of fact, I can mute him.

1:02:09And while that thing is spinning up,

1:02:16let us go right here.

1:02:19That ladies and gentlemen is pretty much

1:02:22the whole kip and kaboodleoodle. How I

1:02:24have been playing around with voice and

1:02:28some of the frustrations that you get

1:02:30when you're playing around with voice.

1:02:32You see what I'm talking about? I mean,

1:02:34it's I'm not saying it's completely and

1:02:37utterly frustrating, but I'm not saying

1:02:39it is not completely and utterly

1:02:41frustrating to have it over and over and

1:02:45over again say to you, "Let me check on

1:02:47that. Let me check on that. Let me check

1:02:49on that. Even though it

1:02:53it kind of has all of the information

1:02:55anyway, but it needs to say something in

1:02:58order to get from moment to moment. I

1:03:00get it. I get it. It's just a little bit

1:03:03frustrating to say the least. All right,

1:03:07let me check here.

1:03:09I think you should slow down. Take the

1:03:12stress. Insta 360 viewer scaffold

1:03:14[laughter] is now in its builder folder.

1:03:16The setup is caught before feature work

1:03:19and the task is limiting cleanup to only

1:03:21its own newly

1:03:24picked up on your emot.

1:03:27>> Um, I don't think so because otherwise

1:03:31it would probably like cut me off. I

1:03:34love how Codex said,

1:03:37"Okay, yes, it was a good moment." There

1:03:40are so many moments like that where I'm

1:03:42like, "Wow, it's really responding

1:03:44correctly." Codex and Kell sound uh a

1:03:47great deal alike. That is true. Much

1:03:50like you. I All right. So, Sage was uh

1:03:53the closest the only uh I think the only

1:03:57voice that had any type of ethnic kind

1:04:01of flavor to it in any way, shape, or

1:04:04form. And I was like, well, shoot. I'm

1:04:07pretty sure that there are no uh

1:04:10African-American women or black women.

1:04:12I'm I'm old, so I could say black

1:04:14people. Young Some of the young people

1:04:17say African-American, but that ain't my

1:04:19thing. So, let's see what else.

1:04:24Yeah.

1:04:26Yep. Sage does have a deep and

1:04:29impressive voice. And as some people

1:04:31say, so do I. Uh, yeah. Works. Okay.

1:04:36Yes. All right. You 26 people, do me a

1:04:39favor. Like this video. right now so

1:04:43that this thing can get out to as many

1:04:45people as possible. As a matter of fact,

1:04:47I don't even know if this is good for

1:04:50repurposing because of all of the

1:04:52demoing we did over the last hour. But I

1:04:55did want y'all to get a sense of how

1:04:59this worked. I worked this way in front

1:05:01of my students last Thursday and it was

1:05:06quite enlightening to several people

1:05:08because there was a

1:05:10>> the viewer's core path is now defined

1:05:13and this whole it'll take a browser

1:05:15decodable stitched 360 video extract a

1:05:19chosen equangular frame locally and

1:05:21display it in a dragable sphere.

1:05:24>> Oh, you can't hear that because I don't

1:05:26think I'm sharing. Okay.

1:05:31So, it looks like it's uh working on all

1:05:34of the programs. I was thinking maybe uh

1:05:36I was sharing my sound. I don't think

1:05:38that that's the case. But you can use

1:05:41voice to build, you can use voice to

1:05:44build story, you can use voice to flesh

1:05:47out exactly uh whatever it is you're

1:05:51trying to develop, whether it be a

1:05:52marketing plan,

1:05:54[clears throat] sales plan for

1:05:57business, whatever. video selection and

1:05:59drag and drop local playback and

1:06:02interactive tape look previews

1:06:04>> keeps talking exports is clearly marked

1:06:06as next not

1:06:08>> if it's Nope

1:06:10looks like it's not you can't hear it

1:06:13>> but right now it's building a bunch of

1:06:16things in the background

1:06:18and making them work and making them

1:06:20work for me without me having to

1:06:22actually I can continue to do this

1:06:25having talked to it for a little while I

1:06:27could pop it back up on the screen. We

1:06:29could have a more of a conversation with

1:06:31it, but I just wanted to give you the

1:06:33possibil you can hear it.

1:06:48Well, then I better put my headset back

1:06:50on.

1:06:52I can't believe [laughter] you can hear

1:06:53it. You can hear it.

1:06:58Huh.

1:07:01That's fascinating.

1:07:04Wait. Threads.

1:07:06Threads.

1:07:08I'm sorry if y'all can hear that whole

1:07:10thing. Let me see here.

1:07:13Yeah, you can hear it. You can hear it.

1:07:14You can Oh my gosh. I can hear it. I can

1:07:16hear it. I can hear it. I get you. Okay.

1:07:19Right here.

1:07:22Uh, real soon now. Yeah. That summed up

1:07:26new product announcements before

1:07:33that summed up new product announcements

1:07:35before they were anything near ready. I

1:07:39love reading uh Chaos Manor in Bite

1:07:42magazine. [laughter]

1:07:46Oh, Bite Magazine. Uh, I used to love

1:07:50all of the like uh the rag stuff where

1:07:52all of those early sci-fi writers got

1:07:55their start. I like those types of

1:07:58magazines. But everybody everybody here

1:08:01100%.

1:08:03Yes. Can hear it. Can hear it 100%.

1:08:07Sorry about that y'all. Um, it's still

1:08:10working in the background. Um,

1:08:14VHS now has its own first builder

1:08:18product uh product pass a polished

1:08:21landing page. Holy crap, it does.

1:08:28Ah, there it is.

1:08:31There it is.

1:08:33Um,

1:08:35is there a way I can show this to you?

1:08:42No, there is not a way I can show that.

1:08:44Let me see here.

1:08:46Can I show this to you? Right down here

1:08:49in the lower right hand corner, this is

1:08:51it going through how exactly it should

1:08:55look. This is the product page and it's

1:08:59actually building the whole thing out

1:09:00back here. It's kind of cool.

1:09:02uh that and it did it in a thread that

1:09:05is not its own thread. It just spun

1:09:09things up. So,

1:09:12um no, don't rename it. This other one

1:09:15is still working. This other one is

1:09:17still working. But the one up here is

1:09:21done. Oh, nope. It's not done. It's

1:09:24They're still working on it.

1:09:27Picture and picture.

1:09:30There we go. Yes. which is really cool.

1:09:33I'm going to get off of that. Put it

1:09:35back up here. That way we know when it

1:09:38starts talking. All right.

1:09:41And with that, ladies and gentlemen, I

1:09:44hope at least

1:09:47Yeah, bite was awesome. Bite was

1:09:49>> And VHS has completed its acceptance

1:09:51pass. Uploads, local preview, presets,

1:09:55errors, and responsive layout are

1:09:56verified. Rendering and export stay off

1:09:59until the video processing milestone is

1:10:02built.

1:10:03>> I would assume that you all heard that.

1:10:07>> So it's so VHS is complete.

1:10:10>> VHS is complete in builder. The landing

1:10:12page, real local upload and preview and

1:10:15VHS style interactive previews are

1:10:17verified. Actual video encoding and

1:10:19exports are the clearly labeled next

1:10:21milestone.

1:10:23Okay, let's take a look at what it

1:10:26built.

1:10:28I'm going to move this right here.

1:10:32And this is before I even I I It's just

1:10:35a quick

1:10:37Come on.

1:10:39Where are you?

1:10:43H I don't see anything.

1:10:47I don't see anything.

1:10:53Hey, hey, hey. I don't see a thing.

1:10:56Like, I don't see anything.

1:11:01Okay. And that's an independent little

1:11:03dictation that I can just drop in there

1:11:06and get the agent inside of there to

1:11:08kind of fix what's going on.

1:11:12which is another really cool thing that

1:11:14you can actually go into each one of

1:11:16these threads yourself and mess around

1:11:20with it and not just do it at the high

1:11:22level over here with the chat GPT bot

1:11:26which is still connected to it also. So

1:11:29right now it's going I see the problem

1:11:32the browser is opening the raw source

1:11:34file not the VHS vite app. All right see

1:11:39the browser won't let automation take

1:11:41over. There it is. Okay, here it is.

1:11:47This is the site right here. As a matter

1:11:49of fact, I can expand it so that it's

1:11:52completely takes up the whole screen.

1:11:55Your new footage, a tape deck with a

1:11:58good taste, drop, dial, rewind,

1:12:01>> and the great differentiator is complete

1:12:03in builder. A polished, responsive

1:12:05negotiation workspace prototype with

1:12:08five core modes, realistic sample

1:12:10interactions and verified desktop and

1:12:12mobile behavior.

1:12:15>> The negotiation framework is explicitly

1:12:17positioned as a starting concept, not a

1:12:19settled doctrine.

1:12:21>> Okay, so this

1:12:22>> also VHS is now running in a live local

1:12:25preview. The blank page earlier was from

1:12:28opening the source file directly, not

1:12:30from the actual app and the app loads

1:12:32correctly in the browser.

1:12:34And there's the living room.

1:12:38What happened? Head of product offer.

1:12:41Uh, enter live room. Edit brief. I don't

1:12:45even know what this thing is, but it's

1:12:48really cool that helps people uh turn

1:12:51the outcome into judgment. Where did the

1:12:54conversation land? Start date on

1:12:58flexibility of two weeks. saved debrief

1:13:01questions created more movement than

1:13:04counter offers. Oh, so this is an entire

1:13:08product that it just built off of a

1:13:11whimsical idea that I had. Now, let's

1:13:13see. Is it the other one still working?

1:13:16Yes, the Insta 360 thing is still

1:13:20working. And I wonder what it wants to

1:13:24do with that. I wonder if it's going to

1:13:27be done in the next three or four

1:13:29minute. Live verification passes. The

1:13:32page returns 200 rendered WGL

1:13:37H.

1:13:42I wonder how it would uh test this out

1:13:46because I do have some 360 footage that

1:13:48I could use with it. But as you can see,

1:13:51I all of a sudden I'm deep in the middle

1:13:54of a at least one, two, three different

1:13:56types of projects. And let's see here.

1:14:01Open.

1:14:02>> And the Insta 360 viewer now passes.

1:14:05Live verification. The sphere renders.

1:14:08Drag works. And there are no browser

1:14:10errors. It's finishing one synthetic

1:14:12test before I give you the final result.

1:14:16>> All right. So what I want to do,

1:14:20let me see here,

1:14:22is the VHS

1:14:24video filter

1:14:27open. What happens if I open it in

1:14:30Chrome?

1:14:32Yeah, nothing's happening.

1:14:36So what I need to do

1:14:39is

1:14:39>> the end to end test found and is fixing

1:14:42a real timing issue. The viewer

1:14:44announced readiness before the new

1:14:45spherical texture finished decoding.

1:14:48That's now using a true texture ready

1:14:50state and it's rerunning now.

1:14:54All right.

1:14:56So, I can take real footage. Let's see

1:14:59here.

1:15:011984. Okay. Let's browse.

1:15:06Ah, it automatically made that work.

1:15:10Okay. We're going to take uh a short

1:15:14file.

1:15:16Let's say something that

1:15:17>> and the viewer now passes end to end

1:15:19with test media.

1:15:21>> It extracts a selected panoramic frame,

1:15:24loads it into the interactive sphere,

1:15:26and enables download without browser

1:15:29errors. Real Insta 360 export

1:15:32compatibility is the remaining

1:15:34verification step.

1:15:37All right. So, looks like the VHS tape

1:15:40thing works. Um, let's uh go here

1:15:45or here.

1:15:47There we go.

1:15:51Let's talk about Kimmy K3.

1:15:56Okay. Or or chewed up.

1:16:01>> All three are complete in Builder. VHS

1:16:04with upload and preview, differentiator

1:16:06with five modes, and the 360 sphere

1:16:09viewer with end-to-end frame extraction

1:16:11and sphere viewing. The last check is

1:16:13validating one real Insta 360 studio

1:16:16export.

1:16:18>> Let's talk about Kimmy K3.

1:16:21>> Huh, this is fascinating. All right, so

1:16:24when I go full screen, the effect goes

1:16:27away. Okay, so this is what I need to

1:16:29say to it. All right. So,

1:16:33um,

1:16:35hey, when I go to preview, um, in the

1:16:39VHS, uh, video filter, uh, and I go full

1:16:43screen, the filter, whatever it is,

1:16:46whether it be softdub or 1994, whatever

1:16:48it is, kind of just goes away, man.

1:16:52What's up with that?

1:16:53>> Let me take a look at that. Uh, yeah. I

1:16:56just want the filter to propagate even

1:16:58when I'm in full screen so that I can,

1:17:00>> you know what I mean?

1:17:02>> Yeah, I'm on it.

1:17:05>> All right. So, it's working on that.

1:17:07>> I sent that to the VHS builder as a real

1:17:10rendering defect. Full screen has to

1:17:12preserve the active VHS look instead of

1:17:15reverting to raw playback.

1:17:18>> That's exactly right. All right. So, now

1:17:21Whoops. Let me do this.

1:17:25There we go.

1:17:28And uh

1:17:30let me see here. What does it say?

1:17:32What's jungle say? I love how it

1:17:34interrupts you while speaking. Lol. Like

1:17:38Sage, give the uh like Sage, give the

1:17:40man a second. [laughter]

1:17:44It doesn't know because I don't I'm not

1:17:47actually I since I turned off the thing,

1:17:50we can't get mad at it for uh

1:17:51interrupting me because that's kind of

1:17:53what it should be doing. All right, so

1:17:56drop a video. What happens when I Oh,

1:17:58you can hit

1:17:59>> pause confirmed. Full screen was hitting

1:18:01only the raw video element while the VHS

1:18:03look lives around it. The fix is to full

1:18:06screen the entire preview stage so the

1:18:08scan lines, noise tracking, and OSD stay

1:18:12with the video.

1:18:14>> And did you

1:18:17h

1:18:19And did you do that?

1:18:23Let me confirm that.

1:18:28[gasps]

1:18:28Oh my gosh. Let me let me

1:18:32>> not yet. That fix is being applied and

1:18:34tested now. And I'm not calling it fixed

1:18:36until full screen is verified with a

1:18:38filter actually on.

1:18:40All right.

1:18:45Now, ask me some questions. Anybody got

1:18:47any questions about this? Hey, 31 people

1:18:50who are watching right now. I appreciate

1:18:51each and every one of you. Would you all

1:18:53like wherever you are whether you're in

1:18:56Instagram or LinkedIn or YouTube or X?

1:19:00Please like this because uh this is how

1:19:03we get this out to most people. And also

1:19:06I have a class a school called AI

1:19:09Matters to You. Go ahead on and hit the

1:19:11link in the description below. Come on

1:19:13over. I will give you tons and tons and

1:19:16tons of things that you can actionably

1:19:19use for your AI business. If you want to

1:19:23use it for your AI business, you might

1:19:25just want to use it for your AI life.

1:19:28And if any of those things appeal to

1:19:30you, click in the link desri in the

1:19:33description below for AI matters to you.

1:19:35Okay. All right. Let me see here. Uh not

1:19:40yet. the fix is being applied. And so

1:19:44therefore, I you know, I I we do not

1:19:47have to actually get to the end of this.

1:19:49I just wanted to spin up some story,

1:19:52show y'all how to do the story. I wanted

1:19:54to spin up a really good strong version

1:20:00of uh a couple three apps that I could

1:20:04show you are multitasking all at the

1:20:06same time and doing this whole thing all

1:20:08at the same time. It's the future,

1:20:11y'all. It's exactly what I want you all

1:20:15to be experiencing, which is the future,

1:20:19y'all. Really, honestly, it's not it's

1:20:23not that uh this stuff is hard. Oh, what

1:20:27is going on right now? Oh, I know what

1:20:30went I know what happened. I know what

1:20:33happened. Let me get Oh, what in the

1:20:37world?

1:20:39I'm sorry y'all. I'm While it's doing

1:20:42things, it's having itself moments while

1:20:45it's doing stuff. Okay.

1:20:50Oh, it looks like it uh did the thing

1:20:52again. Okay. Let me go right here.

1:21:02Okay. So, this

1:21:04I'm going to make that minimize that.

1:21:08And we're going to go full screen with

1:21:11this. We're going to find an original.

1:21:14Let's drop actually. What happens when I

1:21:18hit?

1:21:22That was weird.

1:21:25Oh, it's testing. It's not done. That's

1:21:28what's happening. It's testing.

1:21:33And so I cannot expect

1:21:36it. It keeps that's why it keeps

1:21:38resetting because it keeps testing. So

1:21:41yeah, I I am not mad at this. And this

1:21:44was just a whimsical idea I had really

1:21:46quickly.

1:21:48And that whimsical idea was really I

1:21:52don't know, not that smart, not that

1:21:55brilliant and able to really be executed

1:21:58super quickly.

1:22:00It's not rocket science to build

1:22:03applications anymore. You can do it with

1:22:07your voice. My name is Eel Herod. This

1:22:10is why AI matters. If you would like to

1:22:14play around, please like and subscribe

1:22:17to this video. As you can see right now,

1:22:19it's going through a whole bunch of

1:22:22rigma roll to try and fix this thing up.

1:22:25Oh, what is it? Oh, it's in full screen

1:22:28because it's trying to figure out

1:22:30whether or not it's able to apply those

1:22:32things to it. And it's got the Yeah,

1:22:36it's a little Yeah, it's uh kind of kind

1:22:40of breaking up in a little. Yeah, look

1:22:42at that. It's just And I am not No

1:22:44hands.

1:22:45>> Yep. Verified. Both softdub and 1994 now

1:22:49stay on in full screen with the full

1:22:51visual treatment, noise, scan lines, and

1:22:53display overlay preserved. The VHS

1:22:56builder confirms the full screen path is

1:22:58now the composed preview stage.

1:23:01>> All right. And now that's fixed too. I

1:23:04should be able to grab a video.

1:23:07Actually, like I said, let me see. Drop

1:23:09a video. Drop a video in full screen.

1:23:13Now, the active VHS treatment stays on

1:23:15as expected. Softdub and 1994 were

1:23:18verified with effects, overlays, and

1:23:21clean exit behavior intact.

1:23:24>> Okay. Two,

1:23:26five.

1:23:31Let me see. Two,

1:23:35five, 75.

1:23:39Five. There we go.

1:23:42Okay.

1:23:44So, when I

1:23:48Oops.

1:23:50went to the wrong one for VHS.

1:23:55All right, there we are.

1:23:58And

1:24:01let's talk about Kimmy K3.

1:24:03>> Uhoh,

1:24:06now it's completely gone.

1:24:08Now it's completely gone. Was that

1:24:11because I clicked out of it?

1:24:14Huh?

1:24:16Clean tape 1984. Let's find one

1:24:21which is like a five.

1:24:24I don't want to use a big one.

1:24:27Okay,

1:24:29there it is.

1:24:33That's nice.

1:24:35>> Talk about Kimmy K3. That's awesome. So,

1:24:39right now it has um if you look, let me

1:24:43let me make this full screen for you

1:24:47and we'll play it again.

1:24:50You'll see the lines.

1:24:52>> Talk about Kimmy K3

1:24:54>> and the crunchiness.

1:24:56That's so cool. Now, what I want to do,

1:24:59let's see. Will it let me exit? I had to

1:25:04hit the escape button to get out of it.

1:25:06Probably something I should Oh, chewed

1:25:08up. Let's see. Full screen. Chewed up.

1:25:12Oh, look at all that noise in there.

1:25:16That is so brilliant. Okay, let's see

1:25:19here.

1:25:21Yeah,

1:25:22>> let's talk about Kimmy. That is awesome.

1:25:28Let's Let's talk about Kimmy K3. Talk

1:25:32about Kimmy K3. That right there is uh a

1:25:37really wellexecuted kind of ugly site.

1:25:40[laughter]

1:25:41It's really ugly. Uh you can tell it's

1:25:44all vibe coded with the thick letters

1:25:46and the bold and all of this stuff. Uh

1:25:49if you let it write your stuff for you,

1:25:52it's pretty much going to do uh

1:25:55something that looks about as ugly as

1:25:57that, you know. So ladies and gentlemen,

1:25:59that right there is how I use how I use

1:26:04voice to build pretty much anything.

1:26:07That was and Peter, you're right. That

1:26:10was so much fun to play around with. You

1:26:13can use it to make multiple threads. You

1:26:16can use it to uh to work on multiple

1:26:20things at one time. Send it off to get

1:26:23this thing done. Send it off to get that

1:26:25thing done. send it off to get

1:26:28everything done. Isn't that crazy? Isn't

1:26:32that crazy, y'all? All right. Now, I

1:26:35want you to like, I want you to

1:26:37subscribe. I want you to please hit that

1:26:40notification bell. If you want, you can

1:26:44find the hype button somewhere in my

1:26:47YouTube thing and click on that because

1:26:49apparently hyping things up helps with

1:26:52the algorithm somehow. I think it's

1:26:54because you got to dig so deep in all of

1:26:55that. So if you can find it, you're a

1:26:57winner winner chicken dinner. The whole

1:27:01idea, the entire idea right now is to

1:27:05become AI a creative AI native. Okay, I

1:27:10want you or a

1:27:13or a native creative AI creative native

1:27:19ai native. It's what I said before.

1:27:23[laughter] I want you all to be native

1:27:26in the idea of AI. I want you to be able

1:27:28to really just think of everything as a

1:27:32software problem and it will probably

1:27:36you will probably be able to fix that

1:27:39problem if if if

1:27:42you just apply yourself. Welcome,

1:27:45welcome, welcome to the future. I hope

1:27:48that you all well enjoy the rest of your

1:27:53week and I'll see all of my students on

1:27:55Thursday in AI matters to you when we

1:27:59talk about Buzz and Grockbot. All right,

1:28:02everybody. I look forward to seeing all

1:28:04of you in the next video.

1:28:10[music]

1:28:12>> And uh please be good to [music] each

1:28:15other cuz life is too short to be

1:28:20screwing around. [music]

1:28:23>> Welcome to the future, y'all.

1:28:27[music]

1:28:36Not in slogans, [music]

1:28:38but in sales comes from signals and data

1:28:41and design. [music]

1:28:46Think about exactly where you are.

1:28:49Surrounded by sensors, you raise the

1:28:52bar. [music]

1:28:52Models networks you barely notice.

1:28:56Think about how [music] every click,

1:28:58every word, every move and every single

1:29:01trick can be captured.

1:29:04Train on [music] turned into leverage.

1:29:06Think about the future.

1:29:11Think [music] about the future.

1:29:16Think about the future.

1:29:21Think about the future. [music]

1:29:26You can have a small box on your desk, a

1:29:28model tuned to you, learning your style,

1:29:31[music]

1:29:31anticipating what you need before you

1:29:33ask. Better tasks, amplifying judgment,

1:29:35blood dice on trial, compressing hours

1:29:38into minutes, turning vague [music]

1:29:40ideas into working graphs, prototypes.

1:29:45[music]

1:29:46Think about the future.

1:29:51Think about [music] the future.

1:29:56Think about the future. [music]

1:30:01Think about the future.

1:30:06This is how you [music] step to the next

1:30:08level. Stop treating tech as a toy or a

1:30:11threat. Stop treating it [music] as a

1:30:13bot. You must learn to the rest.

1:30:17Ask what can I delegate? What can Imit?

1:30:21[music] What future self am I chaining

1:30:24with every prompt I write? [music] Think

1:30:27about the future.

1:30:32Think [music] about the future.

1:30:36Think about the future.

1:30:41Think about the [music] future.

1:30:47[music] You can do it if you build a

1:30:50Doing stuff for the people like that by

1:30:52a leap. I'm bound for you. Say it. Say

1:30:56it ain't so. [music]

1:30:57Automations that run while you sleep.

1:31:00Agents that scour riches [music] to rear

1:31:07too late on a desk in your pocket. But

1:31:09only [music] if you start really

1:31:11thinking about it now. More than a pose

1:31:14rocket. Being brutally honest about

1:31:17where you are. [music]

1:31:19And you are relentlessly

1:31:23curious about where you could be.

1:31:27Think [music] about the future.

1:31:37Think about the future.

1:31:42[music] Think about the future.
