0:00hey everybody Danny one here thanks for

0:02joining is this week is there a

0:05difference between your iron swing and

0:07your driver swing

0:08you probably think so I wouldn't you

0:10you're out the Gulf Coast you can hit

0:11you driver well sometimes but for some

0:13reason you can't need your irons or vice

0:15versa you're hitting your wines really

0:17well but you can't hit your driver why

0:20is that the case well there's certainly

0:22a difference in the way you should set

0:23up to both of them and there's also a

0:26slight difference in the way you should

0:27approach the golf swing in this week's

0:29training I'm gonna give you exactly how

0:31to sell to both I'm gonna give you some

0:33swing things that you can do for both

0:36your iron and your driver swing and a

0:37couple of drills and a special bonus

0:40that will really really help before we

0:42get into the video look if you're new to

0:44the channel and this is one of your

0:45first videos consider subscribing I

0:47released videos just like this every

0:49week to try and help you improve your

0:51game so what are we trying to do with an

0:54iron and a driver well both are very

0:57similar in what we'll try to do with a

0:59ball flight to get maximum distance and

1:02and flight we want a lovely high

1:05launching trajectory through the sky now

1:09with a driver in theory it should be

1:11easier the ball speed ups a lot easier

1:13to hit it higher with it iron it's like

1:15different because the balls on the

1:16ground so the question is how do you do

1:18both well let's start with in the

1:20initial setup the first thing look I've

1:23got a ten and a half degree driver here

1:24most people use in ten and a half to

1:26twelves some even know how to you do not

1:28need to worry about the ball going too

1:31high we want to get that ball launched

1:34up in the air so that's the number one

1:36objective so the key is is how do we go

1:38about doing it the first thing is in the

1:40setup if you want to get the ball

1:42launching up into the sky here what's

1:45going to help here is we're going to get

1:47the ball position off the heel of the

1:50lead foot here we don't want it back

1:52here we want in a sense our bodies in a

1:54position in a sense to get watch this

1:57good exercise for you here she's just a

1:59tip forward here this gets the body in

2:01an angle position to get that ball

2:03launched up in the air we push the ball

2:06forward that helps so suddenly now what

2:08we have is this we have the club head we

2:12have the hand

2:13they'll behind the club head and we have

2:14the head behind the handle now the other

2:18thing I've done with a driver setup here

2:19is you'll notice that my feet are there

2:22not narrow they're slightly wide by

2:24moving this right foot back here it

2:26helps me to drop the right shoulder and

2:29get behind the golf ball all factors

2:32that are going to help me look

2:33get that ball or hit that ball up here a

2:37lot of fun at times that my weight is

2:40possibly favoring the back foot slightly

2:42but what I'm not doing here some people

2:44mistake this by trying to sit back here

2:46that's not what we're after noticed I've

2:49done this I've simply tipped forward and

2:51now I'm ready to strike the driver here

2:55let's have a look now at the difference

2:57between this and a nine so we then iron

3:01a drive you definitely need to hit the

3:03center of the face and nothing is more

3:05important than that with an iron look

3:07well look at the face this is a 7-iron

3:09and this is where the loft is that is

3:11what gets the ball up in the air the

3:13loft of the golf club not us trying to

3:15get underneath the ball try and lift it

3:17or help it up in the air it's the angle

3:19of this so we have to make sure that the

3:21angle hits the golf ball how do you do

3:24that what's the best way of doing that

3:26well if we were to set up to an iron

3:29like we're driver and try to get

3:30underneath it watch this we ended up

3:33being behind here and we're moving the

3:35angle away from the ball increasing like

3:38that we'll hit the bottom part the club

3:39and get that ball flying along the

3:42ground so what we do is we put the angle

3:44towards the bar increase the likelihood

3:47that it's going to get up in the air

3:48this is how you do that in your setup so

3:51your board becomes much more central as

3:52opposed to forward your handle now is on

3:56inside left thigh you've got a lot more

3:58takács forward shaft lean here this

4:01stance is a little bit narrow this kind

4:03of brings in a sense the weight more

4:05even it brings up this right shoulder so

4:07chef's see the stance is a bit narrower

4:09here and you'll notice that my shoulders

4:11are much much more level at this stage

4:14my sternum is much more over the golf

4:18ball as opposed to behind it where it

4:20was with the driver and all this is in a

4:22sense getting me now to have a very

4:24different

4:25of impact a different type of strike let

4:30me explain so with a driver we were

4:32trying to launch the ball up off the tee

4:35because we can cut it's on a tee with an

4:38iron we can a up so we have to hit

4:40slightly more down I want to imagine

4:43this a driver is like a plane the impact

4:46through impact I say a driver is like a

4:48plane taking off an iron sure is like a

4:52plane coming in and just landing so

4:56let's show you the difference so watch

4:58that a driver is like a plane take it

5:01off

5:01ie the clubface the plane taking off and

5:03an iron is like the plane coming down

5:06and then landing now it's not coming

5:09down and just crashing it's coming down

5:12and learning so that becomes this

5:13gliding if I've got a couple of great

5:16drills will really help with it's in a

5:17second but that's the image I want you

5:20to look for all right let's now look at

5:22the drills to help you hit both of these

5:24really really well so you've got

5:27yourself set out with Drive here you can

5:29realize now that what we try to do is we

5:31want the driver to be like the club head

5:33to be like a plane taking off we want it

5:36to go up through the ball so that we

5:39want to kind of have some exercise that

5:40make that simple or great visuals well

5:43just stack it stick a tee peg in front

5:44of the golf ball here I've put about six

5:47to eight inches and then all I'm going

5:49to do is make some swings hit that ball

5:50and miss the tee peg on the way through

5:54simple as that

6:08lovely towering launching trajectory

6:11that's going to go a real decent

6:12distance what do you do with the iron

6:14well get the iron take a ball this time

6:18leave the tea pig in the ground push it

6:21down maybe a little bit further now so

6:22we're going to push it a bit lower and

6:24I'm going to move the ball now probably

6:26I say an inch couple inches behind the

6:30tea peg and then what we're going to do

6:33nice and simple is we now need to use

6:35that same tea peg to hit this ball we're

6:39going to take the tea peg out of the

6:41ground

6:57as you can see I've taken a tea pick out

6:59the ground I hit the ball I made it a

7:02turf and I've got this lovely pure

7:05strike simple as that now let's have a

7:08look at a bonus video which will really

7:10really help particularly out the Gulf

7:13across a great cost it such a simple one

7:16for you this one this exercise so every

7:19tea on a golf course generally is a

7:21rating there's always a slope leading up

7:23to it well before you get on the next

7:24tee you want to learn how to fuel that

7:26plane taking off with a driver look at

7:29this I'm on an upslope here and my right

7:32foot is a lot lower than my left I'm

7:33hitting up the slope

7:35I can now feel what it's going to be

7:36like to get that Club taking off up into

7:40the sky I'm swinging up the slope back

7:43swing down here I'm going to hit

7:44straight down into the ground a lovely

7:47feeling of innocence get that feel of

7:50swinging up the Swope nice and nice and

7:52easy and all you do with an iron is

7:54reverse it so so with an iron look have

7:57a look at this the reverse is true I'm

7:59now gonna get sensation I'm the club the

8:02plane is coming into land here and my

8:05weight is favoring my lead foot here my

8:07left foot and I'm swinging down and

8:10through a great way to get the sensation

8:13of innocence swinging and hitting those

8:16are heads it's a super simple one up

8:18slope to feel the driver downslope to

8:21feel the ions works really really well

8:24so before I get into the summary I put a

8:27free driver cost down in the description

8:30below which you can access completely

8:31for free

8:32it goes into a slightly more depth into

8:34into the setup how you can be more

8:36accurate we driver and how you can

8:38generate stacks more club head speed as

8:40well that driver course is free for you

8:42down below so go check it out but in

8:44summary what have we done today well

8:47with a driver you want to imagine the

8:49plane is taking off launch it up into

8:51the sky with an iron you want to imagine

8:54the plane is coming down and landing

8:57through impact how do you do that honey

8:59make sure that I increase our likely

9:01that that's going to happen with your

9:02driver well you push the ball forward so

9:04it's opposite the inside heel of your

9:06lead foot

9:06you put the handle behind the ball your

9:09head behind the handle and you have a

9:11slightly wider stands here so you can

9:13drop that trail shoulder here in a

9:15position to launch that ball up in the

9:18air that's how you start off with the

9:21driver with an iron you've got to

9:25remember that it's the loft that gets

9:27the ball up in the air not you so you've

9:29got an increase a licker that that's

9:31gonna happen you're gonna do that by

9:33moving the ball slightly back in your

9:36stance Critz much more shuffling hands

9:39opposite inside left thigh here you

9:41narrow it up you're down to your

9:42leveling off your shoulders a little bit

9:44here and then the image in your mind is

9:46to be coming up and down here like the

9:50planes landing and don't forget to use

9:53the special simple exercise you can do

9:55it on the side of a tee where basically

9:58you get the feeling just of you if

10:00you're ticking it's a great way to

10:02actually kind of before you actually go

10:03and play hit the tee shot it to get on

10:05that tee get a feel of hearing up and if

10:10you'd be swinging with your eye in play

10:12just before a little bit of practice go

10:14on the down slope of the tee

10:15and just get the sensation of that plane

10:18coming down this way it will really

10:20really help God if you enjoy the

10:23training maybe we give it a thumbs up

10:24and share with some people who may

10:26struggle with either driver or their eye

10:28in play will really really help

10:30and of course look if you're new to

10:32channel this is one of your first videos

10:34press that subscribe button I'd love to

10:36help you out next week but until next

10:37week have a great golfing week
