3:01we're still in Genesis. Uh the next time
3:03we meet, I think we just going to go
3:04ahead and read all the way through
3:06chapter 3 and just start doing the
3:08chapters because I want to get us
3:10through Genesis. But it's so much
3:11important stuff in Genesis,
3:14like the pre-incarnate Jesus that a lot
3:17of people miss. It's so many important
3:19pieces to Genesis. And Genesis is so
3:22vital for even for us to understand sin,
3:26the wages of sin, to understand
3:28sacrifices, to understand all of that.
3:31Thank you to you to I got my water
3:34babies to understand all of it. Uh to
3:36understand the covenants and then when
3:38we get to Exodus and Deuteronomy and
3:40Numbers, Leviticus and all of that,
3:42you'll better understand. I think a lot
3:44of times people skip over Genesis and
3:47they're confused. You know, they're
3:49confused whenever they skip over. So,
3:52this is the reason why we're taking our
3:53time because it is so much in Genesis,

4:03through it too. I am not perfect
4:07by far. And if any of you all have ever
4:10been on assignment, which I believe
4:12every single one of you all probably
4:13have. If you've ever been on assignment
4:15and God has given you an assignment and
4:17commissioned you out, there's going to
4:18be a lot of resistance

4:22that calls for a lot of fasting and
4:24prayer.

4:30trust me, your girl has been going

4:34ministry. I have to steward this well
4:36because God has assigned this to me and
4:38assigned many of you all to me to help
4:40you all teach his word. So, I'm going to

4:49Genesis chapter 2.

4:54chapter 2 verse 15-2. Yes, we're going
4:57back a little bit. Like I said, it's so
5:00much in Genesis. It's going to be a lot
5:02of us covering. You going to look and
5:03say, "Where we read that?" It's okay.

6:07primarily in NLT. Uh there has been a
6:10lot of study with Genesis, of course. of
6:13course in my KJV. But if you have a
6:16Strongs concordance Bible or a keyword
6:19Bible that has Hebrew and Greek because
6:22I'll call out some concordance numbers
6:23today. Uh well, based off the Strong's
6:26concordance Bible, I'll call out a
6:27couple of numbers if y'all have it just
6:30for the people who utilize it. This is
6:32my keyword Hebrew and Greek concordance
6:34that I use is KJV and my keyword. So
6:37whenever I am in scripture and I want to
6:39understand a term, if there's a number
6:41by it, there's a definition.

6:46there's a definition. If it's Old
6:47Testament, it is going to be Hebrew. And
6:49so in this um in this scripture, there
6:52are going to be a couple of terms that
6:53I'm going to call out for y'all to make
6:55sure that y'all fully understand.
6:57Restored to steward. Well, before we
6:59even pray and then go into the word of
7:01God, does everyone understand what
7:03steward means?
7:06Does everyone understand what steward
7:08means? And y'all don't have to go out
7:09and buy new things and stuff and all
7:11that. If you don't, you don't got to do
7:12that. You don't have to do that. Okay?
7:15Just look at stewardship as management.
7:18That's the easiest way for me to just
7:20break that down real simple. Look at
7:23stewardship as management. Steward to
7:26manage. Okay? So, if you ever think of
7:29stewarding something, stewarding
7:31something well, think of managing
7:32something well. Okay? in this text,
7:35managing something, stewarding something
7:37that God entrusted to us. Okay, that's
7:40the reason why we're going over Adam.
7:41That's the easiest way for me to break

9:33then go to conferences and stuff, but I

10:09back. Okay. All right. So, um before I
10:12start, there's a couple of people who
10:14reached out to me and they have been
10:16people who struggle with prayer. Let me
10:17say this really quickly before I even
10:18get into prayer right now to cover the
10:20Bible study. Your prayer does not have
10:22to sound like everybody else's. I don't
10:24expect y'all prayer sound like mine. I
10:27don't expect your prayers to sound like
10:28prayer warriors and intercessors. I
10:30respect your I expect not respect. I
10:32expect your prayer to be personal with
10:34God. Let it be your voice. It doesn't
10:38matter if you're in here. You don't have
10:40to be a person who yells in prayer and
10:43and declares and decrees and all of
10:45that. have a relationship with God.
10:48Okay, that's it.
10:51You are simply communicating with God.
10:54[laughter]
10:54It does not have to sound like everybody
10:57else. God knows your voice and he knows
10:59your heart. As long as you are
11:00expressing what is on your heart and you
11:02are humbly posturing yourself in front
11:04of God, that's all that matters. Okay.
11:07My biggest thing is if you read the word
11:09of God and you continue to read the word
11:10of God, maybe 10 minutes a day, maybe
11:12five minutes a day, as you continue to
11:14read the word of God, find your
11:16scripture that you can continue to read
11:17on one week, that same scripture and go
11:19over it and allow God to download
11:21certain things in your heart. Before you
11:22know it, you'll be praying and saying
11:24certain things in prayer. The more you
11:26read scripture, the more you start
11:28memorizing it as you continue to read
11:29it, the more it starts to show up in
11:31your prayers. Okay? As long as you
11:34realize that in this realm I'm
11:36addressing God as father, as my friend,
11:41as the judge, as long as you realize
11:42that I am addressing God the way he
11:44should be addressed, you are okay. Okay?
11:47So, don't be beating yourself up.

11:50Exactly. Talk to God like he's sitting
11:52next to you. Exactly. Okay. And then if
11:55y'all struggle with that, say the Lord's
11:58Prayer, then keep saying the Lord's
12:00Prayer because the Lord's Prayer is
12:01powerful. Lead with the Lord's prayer.
12:04Acknowledge God as your father.
12:06Understand the relationship that you
12:07have with God. And just talk. Who cares
12:10who's around? It's between you and God.
12:11Okay. Okay. All right, y'all. Let's get
12:14into prayer. Father God, in the mighty
12:17and matchless name of Jesus Christ,
12:20we come we come to you humbly, Father
12:22God,
12:24knowing you as righteous, as holy, as
12:28sovereign,
12:29as worthy. We position our hearts,
12:32Father God, in this space to be able to
12:34receive the word of God.
12:37God, we ask that wherever there are ears
12:38to hear, let them hear you. Let them
12:40hear the spirit. If there are eyes to
12:43see, Father God, that they will see on a
12:46spiritual level. Let our hearts be
12:48fertile ground to the word, Father God.
12:54Father God, I'm coming to you right now
12:55asking that you cease all distractions,
12:57Father God. quiet the distractions, any
13:00burdens, any weights that people are
13:02going through right now. Silence those,
13:04Father God, and open our hearts to be
13:06able to receive the word of God. Father
13:09God, we realize that the spirit is our
13:11teacher. And we sit in this space right
13:14now, Father God, not taking it lightly,
13:16but loving and understanding that we are
13:18in the presence of you receiving the
13:21living word of God. Father God, I ask
13:23that you illuminate the scriptures, God,
13:26and breathe on every verse, Father God,
13:29and let it come to life in our own
13:32lives, Father God. Let this study be
13:34fruitful, God. Let our walk with you be
13:36fruitful. Let our behaviors be fruitful.
13:39Let our thoughts be fruitful. Let our
13:41relationships be fruitful.
13:44Father God, in this space right now,
13:46there is someone who may be wounded.
13:48Father God, let this be a place of
13:50healing. Father God, there is someone
13:51who may be doubtful and they are looking
13:53for a confirmation, Father God, and I
13:55ask that you give them a confirmation.
13:57If there is a conviction that is needed,
13:59Father God, we ask that you humbly
14:01convict the hearts of those who need to
14:03receive it in this place right now,
14:05Father God. As we come together in your
14:07presence, gathering in this place, we
14:09want to thank you for allowing us to
14:11come together one more time. Father God,
14:14we know that it has been a lot of trials
14:16that have been happening in this world
14:17right now, Father God. But we have seen
14:19you as our fortress. For we know that
14:21the enemy has tried to create lies and
14:24biases and used our trauma against us to
14:26create strongholds and fortresses to
14:28keep us in. But we know that the truth,
14:30we know that the word of God is the
14:32truth and the truth is weighty. And we
14:34know that the truth of you, God fights
14:36all demonic forces, Father God. And so
14:38we take the time to see you as our
14:40safety, Father God. And we want to take
14:42the time to express our love and our
14:44reverence for you, Father God. Let our
14:46hearts be in a posture of obedience,
14:48Father God. Be in a position to obey you
14:50because we love you, Father God, and we
14:53respect you, Father God. We see you as
14:54the creator. We see you as our king.
15:00We see you as the one and only true God,
15:03the alpha, and the omega, Father God.
15:06And we take this time right now, Father
15:08God, to thank you in advance for all of
15:10the things that you are going to do and
15:12all of the things that you have done.
15:13Father God, let us be a heart to be a
15:15friend to those who are in need right
15:17now. Father God, let us extend our hands
15:19to be able to help carry the burdens of
15:21our friends, Father God, to love in
15:23action as you have commanded us to do
15:25so. I seal this prayer in the name of
15:28Jesus. and I honor you and I respect you
15:31and I thank you God for this opportunity
15:33to be able to spread the word of God to
15:35those on assignment. We love you in a

16:06in Genesis 2 15- 25.

16:152 15 through 25.
16:20All right. The Lord God placed a man in
16:23the garden of Eden to tend and watch
16:25over it. But the Lord God warned him,
16:27"You may freely eat the fruit of every
16:28tree in the garden except the tree of
16:30the knowledge of good and evil. If you
16:32eat its fruit, you are sure to die."
16:35Then the Lord God said, "It is not good
16:36for the man to be alone. I will make a
16:39helper, a helper who is just right for
16:41you." Just right for him, y'all. Sorry,
16:42my country is about to come out. So the
16:45Lord God formed from the g the ground
16:46the gown. [snorts] All the wild animals
16:48and all the birds of the sky. He brought
16:50them to the man to see what he would
16:52call them. And the man chose a name for
16:54each one. He gave names to all the
16:56livestock, all the birds of the sky, and
16:58all the wild animals. But still, there
17:01was no helper just right for him. But
17:03still,
17:04there was no helper just right for him.
17:07Clock that. Okay. So, the Lord God
17:09caused the man to fall into a deep
17:10sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God
17:13took out one of the man's ribs and
17:15closed up the opening. Then the Lord God
17:17made a woman from the ri and he brought
17:19her. He brought her to the man. At last,
17:24the man exclaimed, "This one is bone
17:27from my bone and flesh from my flesh.
17:29She will be called woman because she was
17:32taken from man."
17:34This explains why a man leaves his
17:36father and mother and is joined to his
17:37wife. And the two are united into one.
17:40Now the man and his wife were both
17:42naked, but they felt no shame. Amen.

18:47Verse 15. The Lord God placed the man in
18:51the garden of Eden to tend and watch
18:54over it.

19:00[gasps] The Lord God placed Newok.
19:03Newok is the Hebrew word for placed. In
19:07the concordance it is 5117.

19:12in the concordance. Newok n u a c huok
19:18it means to rest to settle down
19:21position. Okay. What we see in Genesis
19:25is God placed Adam in Eden.
19:29Okay. He was settled there. God placed
19:33him God positioned Adam
19:37in Eden.
19:39Can I ask y'all a question? Uh, usually
19:41when someone is positioned,
19:44is it just for the fun of things or do
19:45they usually have an assignment or some
19:47type of instruction? Do they have a
19:49role? Usually.

19:54So, we see that it says God placed Newok
19:56means that he positioned
19:58he settled Adam in Eden.
20:02Okay. Okay. The Lord God placed the man
20:06in the garden of Eden to tend and watch
20:08over. Tend is avad. It's spelled A B as
20:13in boy. A D, but it sounds like avad.
20:16It sounds like a V instead of a B. Avad.
20:20It means to work, to serve, to tell.
20:26So what we see is the Lord God
20:28positioned Adam in the Garden of Eden to
20:32serve
20:33to work. You see where I'm going to we
20:36already there. We on the same page,
20:37baby. I love you. [laughter]
20:39To work, to serve, to tell.
20:43So we already see humanity's vocation in
20:46Eden already is to serve.
20:50We can we can just end the study right
20:52then and there. You know, God positioned
20:55Adam
20:57to serve.
21:01God didn't say, "I position you to be
21:04lazy."
21:05He didn't say, "I position you to have
21:07people come to you." He said, "I
21:10positioned Adam to serve and watch
21:12over." To watch over is Shamar, just
21:15like you said, S H A M A R. And the
21:17concordance is 8104. I'm sorry, y'all.
21:20Abad 10 was concordance 5647.
21:245647. Watch over is shamar. Watch over
21:27means to guard, to protect,
21:31to attend to, to keep.
21:36When I think of [laughter]
21:39when I think of Lord, I got my elbow on
21:41the Bible. I'm sorry, father. When I
21:43think of
21:45serving,
21:47I think of something different, right?
21:50Because what we see right here when he
21:51said the Lord placed God, when the Bible
21:53said the Lord placed the Lord placed
21:55God, the Lord God placed man in the
21:57Garden of Eden to tend to and watch over
22:00it. The Lord God
22:02positioned Adam
22:07to tell and to serve, to guard, to
22:11protect, to attend to, to keep. I'm
22:15still stuck on serve.
22:18The first act of worship that we see in
22:20Genesis
22:22is by doing the work that God has
22:24instructed us to do.
22:27The first act of worship. A lot of times
22:29people see worship and they think well
22:31worship is just singing and dancing. It
22:33is not. You are serving. You are
22:36surrendering.
22:37So the first act of worship that we see
22:40is by stewarding the assignment,
22:43stewarding the responsibility, managing
22:46what God has entrusted to us. Okay? I
22:50want to make sure y'all are following
22:51me.
22:53I want to make sure y'all are following
22:54me because I'm always convicted on this
22:57because I have a tendency I have a
23:00tendency of falling off with things that
23:02God has entrusted to me. Uh for Shamara
23:05it is 8104. That's the concordance
23:07number 8104. I have fallen off many of
23:10times with the things that God has
23:12entrusted to me. My money, my children,
23:17my marriage, me as a daughter, my Bible
23:20study, my work. I have fallen off. It's
23:24not that I do it on purpose, but it
23:26happens. But we're going to talk about
23:28how we were restored back to it. So, the
23:30first definition of worship that we see
23:31in scripture right here is when he says
23:35that he placed Adam in the Garden of
23:37Eden to tend to and watch over
23:40to watch over Eden.
23:42But the Lord God warned him, "You may
23:44freely eat the fruit of every tree in
23:47the garden except the tree of knowledge
23:48of good and evil." When we get to the
23:51next Bible study, we're gonna talk
23:52deeper about that now. Okay? If you eat
23:55his fruit, you are sure to die.
24:00You are sure to die. This does not just
24:03mean physically. You are sure to die in
24:07spirit.
24:09Death here in this text means separation
24:11from the source of life. Remember, Eden
24:14is a presence of God.
24:16So, it is a separation from the source
24:18of life.
24:21So what we see already, God has already
24:23made it very clear. He set death as the
24:26sanction or penalty for rebellion.
24:28Sanction means penalty. So right here,
24:31God set death as the sanction
24:35or penalty for rebellion. He didn't say
24:39if you eat from this tree, I'mma put you
24:41in jail. He didn't say if you eat from
24:43this tree, I'mma put you on punishment.
24:45He said, "If you eat from this tree, you
24:47are sure to be separated from me in
24:49spirit."
24:52And what did Adam do? We going to get to
24:54that in a little while. But he said,
24:56"This is the sanction for if you choose
24:58to be rebellious, cuz I gave you a
25:00choice.
25:01I gave you everything that you needed."
25:03Remember, we've been talking about this
25:05abundance. We talked about the rivers in
25:06the last Bible study. Abundance,
25:08overflow,
25:10empowerment, blessings, all of that. had
25:13everything. I gave you everything. You
25:15don't lack nothing. You good. But if you
25:19touch this, if you choose to rebel
25:20against me, there's a price to pay.
25:23That's the reason why in Romans 6:23 it
25:25says, "The wages for the wages of sin is
25:28death."
25:30Okay. Then the Lord God said, "It is not
25:34good for the man to be alone.
25:39Nothing in scripture is wasted.
25:42nothing.
25:43It is not good for the man to be alone.
25:48The word of God says two are better than
25:49one. Y'all know that one when it talks
25:50about the three-fold core. Y'all know
25:52that scripture, right? Says two are
25:54better than one. I will make you a
25:57helper. A helper.
26:00And Ezar Ezer, I will make you a helper.
26:04In concordance, it is number 5828.
26:08I will make you a helper. I will give
26:10you help.
26:14I will make you a helper who is just
26:18right for you. God said, I will make a
26:23helper who is just right for him. Who is
26:26just right? I will make a suitable
26:29helper.

26:35neged. However y'all want to pronounce
26:36it. It's it's two words for that. Uh it
26:38is concordance uh number 5048.
26:42I will make you a counterpart.
26:45I will make you a mate.
26:48I will make you someone who is in front
26:50of you who stands in front of you. So he
26:52introduces what we're going to see later
26:54Eve as a helper suitable for him. He
26:56said, "I will make you a helper that is
26:59just right for you." Once again, I will
27:03make you a helper that is just right for
27:05you. In the word of God, he said, "I
27:08will make you a helper that's suitable
27:09for you." This means that I will make
27:11you someone who is corresponding to you,
27:15corresponding to your needs rather than
27:18someone in opposition.
27:20I will give you someone who is crafted
27:23to stand face to face with you, who is
27:26equal in worth. They may be distinct in
27:28role, but they are equal in worth.

35:34So, anybody guilty of complaining about

35:39about an assignment that God gave them?

35:53have.
35:55All that stuff. There are things that

36:02it well. Right? There was no leisure
36:05without responsibility. God put Adam
36:07into the Garden of Eden to dress it and
36:08keep it. That's what the word of God
36:10says. So, here is a picture of how God
36:12intended for humans to function. We are
36:15intended to steward what God entrusts to
36:18us. Well,
36:21this is the model.
36:25This is the model right here. And this
36:28is the reason why we had to be restored.

36:33because we had to get back to where we
36:35came from.
36:37Humans in the word of God in Genesis
36:39were empowered to rule God's world and
36:41subdue it. We talked about subdue the
36:43last time. Adam's starting point was to
36:46work in and care for the garden God
36:48created.

36:55practical. When we stored our
36:57assignments,
37:00when we stored our assignments, what God
37:02has entrusted to us, it is once again us

37:49So, we are put in a place to partner
37:51with God because he's given us an

37:57And in my assignment, I am working to
37:59accomplish his purpose.
38:02The words tend and watch over me. To
38:04guard, to protect, to maintain what
38:06belongs to someone else. To maintain
38:09what belongs to God.
38:12To maintain what belongs to God.
38:20Adam didn't own Eden. He was entrusted
38:23with it.
38:26So when we steward things well, we
38:28cooperate with God's intentions
38:31and we extend his order into the world.
38:33Remember, we're image bearsers. Y'all

38:38That means that stewardship is not just
38:40some practical thing. This is a
38:41spiritual thing
38:44because we are extending
38:46God's order into the world. So when you
38:49look at stewardship and you just think
38:52that God gave me this assignment just to
38:54do remember that this is spiritual that
38:56means that this is weighty. You don't
38:58understand that in the spiritual realm
39:00this holds a lot of weight in the
39:01heavens.
39:03We're image bearsers right? Made in the
39:05likeness in an image of God. That means
39:08that when we are working with our
39:09creator,
39:12the Holy Spirit, we are walking and
39:14following instruction and being guided
39:16by, we have been entrusted with things,
39:19then that means we should steward it
39:20well because it is spiritual.
39:24What we read the last time we read
39:25Genesis 1, we saw that humanity was
39:28given dominion.
39:31What we see now in Genesis 2
39:37is that we were meant to look after
39:40the dominion that God gave us. Whatever
39:42he gave us dominion over, we were made,
39:43we were made to look after it. Can I ask
39:45y'all a question? Is there one thing
39:47y'all know for a fact God has instructed
39:50you to look after?

39:58Dominion as we see in Genesis 1, that
40:00was responsibility, protection, to care
40:02for these things. That's that's
40:03dominion.
40:05To make it plain, what we see first from
40:07Adam is he ruled by serving. He ruled by
40:11serving. He didn't rule by trying to be
40:13in in control, by abusing it in power.
40:15He ruled by serving. Serving is a form
40:19of worship. Serving is a form of
40:22worship. Serving
40:25is a form of worship.
40:28Adam ruled by serving, not just
40:30consuming. Sometimes we look at the
40:32assignments that God gives and we expect
40:34the blessings. We want to consume the
40:36things that God has entrusted to us. But
40:38he called us to serve. So you may have
40:41seen that you had an increase, that you
40:43got a bonus, that now God has put
40:46something else on you. You got a house,
40:48you done had a child, you in a
40:50relationship, you got a friendship, and
40:51you think that you supposed to just sit
40:53there and consume. That is not what was
40:55built into creation. Serving was built
40:58into creation. So if you are married and
41:01you are sitting here frustrated and
41:02complaining, my I ask you, do you have a
41:04deficit when it comes to serving? If
41:06your friendship is failing, do you have
41:08a deficit when it comes to serving? When
41:10it comes to your job and your work, do
41:12you have a deficit because you are out
41:14of order? Because you don't know how to
41:16re you don't know how to serve. You only
41:17know how to receive. Can we talk for a
41:18minute of y'all? Can we make it plain?
41:23Authority in the word of God always
41:24carries a responsibility
41:26and sometimes we forget that. Uh can we
41:30can we talk y'all? Are we here? We
41:32family, right?
41:35The work that Adam performed was an act
41:37of worship. Is there anything that you
41:39can call out right now that is work that
41:41you can say is an act of worship? Some
41:44of you don't want to believe that it is
41:47what Adam how he responded. It was a
41:49holistic response of his entire being,
41:52his heart, his mind, his body, his soul,
41:56his strength to acknowledge,
42:00to honor, to show reverence for God.
42:06That's the act of worship that we have.
42:09We honor with our whole heart, our soul,
42:12our mind, our strength, our body. We
42:14acknowledge, we honor, and we show
42:17reverence for God.
42:20So, Adam originally encompassed
42:22originally a life of obedience.
42:26When we encompass a life of obedience,
42:30we demonstrate the value that we see in
42:32God and how valuable God is to us.
42:38He recognized God as holy.
42:41He recognized God as the creator. He
42:44recognized God as the king.
42:47He lived his life aligned with God's
42:51will cuz it was commanded, right?
42:55What we didn't see, cuz a lot of people
42:57get worship twisted. We didn't see Adam
43:01dancing and clapping and shouting and
43:03praising like David. We didn't see that.
43:06We We didn't see that.
43:08He wasn't over there dancing like David.
43:10He weren't cutting up.
43:14We didn't even see him offering a blood
43:16sacrifice or anything like that. We
43:18ain't see none of that.
43:21We saw his work as an act of worship.
43:24And a lot of people don't like to hear
43:25that. Trust me, I'm convicted about that
43:27a lot. I'm convicted about it a lot
43:31because I have my day job. I fall short.
43:35But we saw Adam's work as an act of
43:38worship.
43:40So the lesson that we need to see here
43:42for one is that worship is not primarily
43:44what we say to God. Y'all know where I'm
43:47about to go with this. Worship from us
43:49is not primarily what we say to God. I
43:52can say, "God, I love you. I worship. I
43:54give you praise. I honor you. I uplift
43:57your name. Lord, I lift your name on
43:59high." We can say those things over and
44:01over and over again. It's not primarily
44:03what we say to God, but it's how we
44:05treat what belongs to him. Oh, okay. I'm
44:08sorry. I don't think y'all woke. I just
44:11don't think y'all woke right now. I'm
44:12think I'm a little too woke. How
44:16we worship is not primarily by what we
44:19say to God.
44:22Some of us can say, "God, I love you all
44:24day. Lord, I lift your name on high. You
44:28are the living word. You are the King of
44:29Kings. You are awesome ruler. You are
44:32the He can do all of that stuff,
44:35but how do we treat what belongs to God?
44:38That's our act, right? Right. That lip
44:41service. I'm I'm guilty of it. I am not
44:43perfect. I'm not I can be honest. When I
44:47felt offended by God allowing something
44:49to happen cuz I was in a spirit of
44:52offense.
44:54Everything that belonged to God, I
44:56wasn't treating well, but I was
44:57worshiping by my mouth. But my heart
45:00wouldn't allow me to treat things well.
45:02So, I didn't value it the same because I
45:04was offended by God.
45:06We can be honest, right? good family.
45:09But when you show up consistently
45:12and you act responsibly
45:15and you care deeply and you protect what
45:19is entrusted to you, you are honoring
45:21God.
45:24Adam partnered with God by m by
45:27maintaining what God planted. He
45:30protected the very things that God
45:32valued and he continued God's creative
45:35order because this is God's creation,
45:37right? He partnered with God. This shows
45:41us, this shows me, this shows you. This
45:44shows all of us, right?
45:47Our daily obedience is simply meant to
45:50be an extension of God's
45:53God's doing in the earth. It's meant to
45:55be an extension of God in the earth, his
45:57image in the earth.
45:59Now, let's make this practical. Let's
46:01let's let's bring it in, y'all. Got any
46:03parents in here?

46:11managers, supervisors?
46:13I got any men in here?
46:16I got any head of the household, leaders
46:19of the household? I got anybody in
46:20ministry?
46:22All of that is stewardship.
46:26All of those things are assignments.
46:31So when we start what God assigns us,
46:35we're now aligning with heaven's order.
46:37It all starts with heaven.

46:44I want to be a participant in God's
46:46ongoing work. I want to participate in
46:47that. Surely do. That's my form of
46:51worship.
46:52So I'm a parent. As a parent, I'm not
46:54just raising kids.
46:57Last time, the last time we met was
46:58probably two or three Bible studies ago,
47:00I don't know. We talked about being
47:02imagebearers. We're kingdom agents.
47:06Ain't that what we are? So, we're not
47:08just raising kids.
47:10We're creating image bearsers, right?
47:13Kingdom agents, right? That's what we're
47:16shaping, right? It's in that blood. It's
47:19in that bloodline. That's what we are
47:21shaping. This is the reason why we pray
47:23against the altars that were built

47:30Instead of praying to your ancestors,
47:32you don't know the altars that they
47:33built.
47:35So we pray against those altars. We pray
47:37against the things that are working
47:38against our bloodlines because we have
47:40things that we need to break down idols
47:42and everything else so we can create
47:43image bears. So instead of us looking at
47:46parenting as just raising kids to keep
47:48them out of jail and off the street, we
47:50have to remember that we have to make
47:52sure that the word of God are in these
47:53children as well.
47:56cuz they're the ones who are going to be
47:57bearing the image of God when we're
47:59gone. We not just earning money at work.

48:12of provision. Yeah.

48:17God didn't gave you the job that you've

48:23There's order in every work, every
48:25assignment that we have at work. There's
48:27still order.
48:30So, we're not just earning money at
48:32work. We're bringing order into
48:34creation. That is what we are doing
48:35whether you like it or not. Cuz trust

48:45leaders think that cuz they have this
48:46position of power that all they have to
48:48do is control. No, you're responsible
48:50for what grows. That's the reason why

48:54someone's church and you can look at the
48:56church and the members and say, "hm,
48:57who's the leader of this house?
49:00That's the reason why
49:03it's not just about controlling as a

50:12You can be doing what God told you to
50:13do. You can be fixing up your house. You
50:15can be praying over your house. You can
50:16be praying over your friends. You can be
50:19doing something with the time that you
50:20have, but we waste it cuz the enemy has
50:24created devices
50:27and we get stuck trying to watch the
50:29latest gossip
50:31and the latest news.
50:35And then we complain that we don't have
50:37enough time, but God has gifted us a
50:39resource and he has trusted time to us
50:42and we waste it. I'm sorry y'all.

50:51down one moment and up the next down one
50:53moment because I'm like Lord I have not
50:55y'all I got on Tik Tok last week. I'm

51:01immediately my mind went to doom

51:05and I was like I could be spending time
51:07reading the word of God. So I ordered me
51:09seven books. I'm halfway through one.
51:11I'm actually halfway through two. No,
51:13the other one I'm like at page 35. I
51:15just started that one. But the other one
51:16I'm halfway through and I said, I'm just
51:18going to read these books. I'm just
51:20going to read these books and read the
51:22word of God. And it's got me back into
51:23reading because I started falling off.
51:25So, I'm guilty to y'all. I'm not
51:27condemning y'all. We on the same page.

51:30you're on assignment, I want to ask you
51:31all, how often do you complain?
51:35How often do you all complain when

54:08Manage a prayer life with God. Jesus

54:22pray. It's stewardship. We got to manage
54:24what God has entrusted in us. And
54:26communicating with God is another thing
54:27we've been trusting with. Time is God.

54:35of not spending enough time with God?
54:38And it's okay cuz I struggled with it. I

55:24time with God cuz I was trying to run
55:26away from what I was hearing.
55:28Instead of running to God, I was running
55:29away, getting angry. That was recent.
55:32Okay. So, before sin entered, I'm not
55:36I'm just like y'all. Before sin entered
55:37the world, we see that we were we
55:40function as stewards. So, I need us to
55:42get back to being stewards. Okay?
55:45Everything that you do, steward it well.
55:47Even if you are a stranger to somebody
55:49and all you have to do is love in some
55:51form of action, do it well.
55:54Adam's life had structure. Our life
55:56needs structure. His life had purpose.
55:58Our life has purpose. His life had
56:01responsibility. Our life has
56:02responsibility. And he was in
56:03partnership with God. We are in
56:04partnership with God. He has entrusted
56:06something to us. Now, after sin entered
56:09into the world, then man was separated
56:11from God's presence.
56:14And that's where the toll that
56:15exhaustive labor that we're going to see
56:17later on when we read. That's when that
56:19came in and and it replaced that joyful
56:21stewardship. Sometimes we need to enter
56:23into these places joyfully.
56:26Adam did have it made. It's a lot harder
56:28for us now. But if we change our mind
56:31because it it all starts with our heart.
56:33When the Bible talks about your heart,
56:35it emphasizes that thoughts come from
56:37your heart. It doesn't say the thoughts
56:38of your mind. It says the thoughts of
56:40your heart. It emphasizes the values
56:43that come from your heart. If you all
56:45read the word of God, you'll see over
56:46700 scripture where it it leads to your
56:49heart. So whatever is in your heart, a
56:52lot of times it's the posture of your
56:54heart, which is the reason why we say,
56:55"Creat in me a clean heart, oh God."
56:57That's the reason why God said, "I will
56:59give you a new heart." Because when we
57:01have a new heart and we're transformed
57:03internally with a new spirit, it leads
57:04us to obey God because we love him.
57:08We have reverence for God. So if we can
57:10just replace the bitterness and the
57:13resentment and the frustration with joy,
57:16we can probably steward the things that
57:17God has entrusted with us joyfully.
57:20Once sin entered into the world, that's
57:21when we seen toiled and it was that
57:23labor that is exhaustive. But we can
57:25change the way we see things, change our
57:27perspective when it comes to this. Okay,
57:29we can do so. Okay, we definitely can
57:34as we go through more of Genesis, I'm
57:35going to get to the other part that I
57:36want to and then we're almost done yet.
57:37But as we get through more of Genesis,
57:40especially in the next one, we're going
57:41to talk about the reason why we had to
57:44have salvation, the understanding of
57:46sacrifices and stuff like that. Because
57:48we're also going to understand why did
57:49Jesus why do we need salvation? Why did
57:52Jesus have to come? Because this is one
57:53of the reasons.
57:56Humanity couldn't restore.
57:59It couldn't restore order on its own. It
58:02had to be saved cuz sin had entered in.
58:05And we said, of course, if there was
58:06sin, then there was death, right? Man
58:09was separated from the presence of God.
58:12And we had to be laborsome.
58:14And because when sin entered, we're
58:16going to read that in chapter 3. But
58:17when sin entered into the world, God's
58:19order collapsed and then it became
58:20disordered.
58:22Mhm. And so we had to come in and we
58:25needed salvation. We needed to be
58:27restored. Which is the reason why we see
58:29temporary sacrifices and stuff, blood
58:31sacrifice and stuff like that. We'll see
58:32that when we talk about Cain and Abel as
58:34well and we talk about the altar as
58:36well. So we'll we'll talk more about
58:37that. But I [snorts] want to get to the
58:38last part. Verse 20B uh is where I want
58:42to get to. Verse 20B is where I want to
58:44get to. I want to talk that and then
58:46we're going to close this out. Dominion
58:48alone was not enough for Adam.
58:51It wasn't. Adam had all the things.
58:56He had all the things, but relationally
58:58he was incomplete. He had all the
59:00things. Now, this is not me telling
59:01y'all to go get into a relationship, go
59:03get married. I'm not telling y'all that.
59:04Some people were called to be single,
59:06but it doesn't mean that you don't have
59:08friendships and you don't have a
59:09community and you can't fellowship with
59:10other people and you'll have a church
59:11home. doesn't mean that cuz it's the
59:13same thing. Okay? But in this text, what
59:16we see in the scripture right here is
59:18there was a relational design that was
59:20created by God into creation. It was
59:22built, not created, but it was built
59:23into creation.
59:25The relational design was built into
59:27creation. Okay? We see Adam goes into
59:30this supernatural heavy deep sleep that
59:33was induced by God.
59:37Mhm. that was induced by God. And we see
59:41that this shows up when God is either
59:43establishing a covenant
59:45or doing something that man cannot do
59:47himself.
59:49And we're reminded throughout the word
59:50of God, the covenant, the covenant is
59:52God's work. So it says he brought her to
59:55man. I have a question for y'all.
59:59He brought her to man. It didn't say he
1:00:03took Adam to to Eve.
1:00:06It says he brought her
1:00:10to the man.
1:00:13Who gives the bride away
1:00:16at a wedding?
1:00:19COME ON, MICHELLE, AND SAY IT.
1:00:24Come on, Michelle, and call it out. I
1:00:26said, y'all, y'all better say something
1:00:29today.
1:00:33Last time I checked,
1:00:36they hold hand in hand.
1:00:39and he walks her
1:00:42to her husband.
1:00:45He brought her to the man.
1:00:48The first recorded wedding is in
1:00:50Genesis.
1:00:52Boom. We all can just close out right
1:00:54there.

1:01:00right there. But Kitty, marriage is just
1:01:03a piece of paper. Don't play with my
1:01:04God. I was called to marriage ministry.

1:01:10He said, I brought her to the man.
1:01:14The father,
1:01:17the creator
1:01:19brought her
1:01:21to the man. Put some respect on his
1:01:22name. That's all I'm saying. Don't Don't
1:01:24play with my covenantal God. Play with
1:01:26somebody else. This is the first
1:01:28recorded wedding that we see in the word
1:01:30of God. Whenever someone's doing a
1:01:33wedding and they try to talk against
1:01:34God, but you mocking what was in
1:01:36Genesis,
1:01:38play with somebody else.
1:01:40I don't believe in God. So why your
1:01:42father give you away to your husband?
1:01:45You you doing the very relational design
1:01:46that God created for marriage.
1:01:49Anyh who, so Eve was
1:01:52I played too much. I'm sorry, Lord.
1:01:54Okay. [laughter]
1:01:55So Eve was carefully constructed.
1:01:58God put him in a deep sleep. He said,
1:02:00"I'm going to take her from your rib.
1:02:03I'mma take her from your side. Take her
1:02:06from your rib." And he constructed her
1:02:09and he did it carefully. And she had a
1:02:12purpose.
1:02:13She had a purpose that fit with who God
1:02:17had waiting
1:02:19for Adam. She already had that purpose.
1:02:23So God didn't say, "I brought Eve to
1:02:27Adam and then I saw that Eve couldn't
1:02:29fit." So then I brought Rebecca to Adam
1:02:31and then I saw Rebecca couldn't fit. And
1:02:34then Adam got tired of Rebecca. So then
1:02:35Rebecca went and got Janelle
1:02:39and then Adam got tired of Janelle. So
1:02:41then he went and found Bianca.
1:02:44He said Adam, Eve was brought to Adam,
1:02:47which meant that she was not
1:02:49interchangeable.
1:02:51All I'm saying is
1:02:55admit that she was not interchangeable
1:02:58because you don't like the color of her
1:02:59hair. Okay, let's keep going. The first
1:03:01time Adam's speech was recorded, like we
1:03:03said, was at last.
1:03:06He recognized one of himself. [laughter]
1:03:11He saw his other self. He recognized
1:03:15that
1:03:17he received her from God's hands. He
1:03:20received her from God's hands. He
1:03:23received her from God's hands. He was
1:03:25entrusted with Eve. Now, let me go ahead
1:03:28and say what I need to see. When God has
1:03:30placed something from his own hands that
1:03:33he has put together strategically,
1:03:36meticulously, and he gave it to you,
1:03:37entrusted it to you, you are supposed to
1:03:40steward it. Well,
1:03:42I am. I love talking about God, y'all.
1:03:44[laughter]
1:03:46He saw his other self.
1:03:49He saw his other self. He received her
1:03:52from God's hand. We see the order when
1:03:54it comes to marriage is leave. Cleave
1:03:58and and become one flesh. Not you become
1:04:00one flesh and then you desire to leave
1:04:02and cleave. Leave
1:04:05from that allegiance that you have with
1:04:06your mom and dad in them. Cleave.
1:04:10It's now you and your spouse. And then
1:04:13you become one. We're working after we
1:04:16leave from this allegiance with other
1:04:18folk. And then we cleave
1:04:22together.
1:04:24Then spiritually, so we all got the
1:04:26culmination, but spiritually,
1:04:29emotionally, and on a soul level, we're
1:04:32working to become one.
1:04:34So some people say you become one
1:04:37spiritually automatically, emotionally.
1:04:40Well, there's some work that has to be
1:04:41done.
1:04:44leave and cleave and then there's some
1:04:45work that has to be done. It's some work
1:04:46to get to that oneness on the soul
1:04:49level. Okay? So, marriage was there
1:04:52before sin.
1:04:55In other words, marriage was built into
1:04:58creation. Don't let someone tell y'all
1:05:02that marriage is just a piece of paper.
1:05:05Marriage was before sin. Before the
1:05:07brokenness, before the fall, it was
1:05:10before sin. That means that it was if it
1:05:12was before sin and it was before the
1:05:13brokenness. When things are not broken,
1:05:15they're what? Y'all want to make sure
1:05:17y'all listen. When things are not
1:05:19broken, they're what? They're whole.
1:05:21Thank you, Brianna. Thank you, baby.
1:05:23When things are not broken, they're
1:05:24whole. So, that means that if marriage
1:05:26was before sin, it was designed for
1:05:29wholeness.
1:05:32It was designed for wholeness.
1:05:35In other words, for people who choose to
1:05:37marry because they're broken, that was
1:05:39never the design for marriage. Which is
1:05:41the reason why God has to take you
1:05:43through all of that stuff that broke you
1:05:45to make you complete again and to make
1:05:47you whole.
1:05:49That's what marriage was before sin is.
1:05:52It was designed for wholeness. It's not
1:05:55a remedy for brokenness.
1:05:58Okay, we got that. Are we there?
1:06:04Y'all with me? So, I just want y'all to
1:06:07take the time because even in their
1:06:08marriage, they had to steward it well.
1:06:09And it wasn't until after sin that they
1:06:12start facing that contentious back and
1:06:15forth stuff that they was dealing with.
1:06:17So, if you are on assignment,
1:06:20I want you to remember that.
1:06:23If your own assignment,
1:06:26whatever your assignment is, whatever
1:06:28your hand finds to do according to the
1:06:31word of God as scripture, do it well. So
1:06:34if there is any complaining and stuff,
1:06:36maybe it's time for you to go to the
1:06:37closet and repent to God for the
1:06:38complaining and the frustration. It's
1:06:40fair for you to have emotions,
1:06:42but it's not for you to poorly manage
1:06:46what God has entrusted you with.
1:06:49So, if you've been dropping the ball in
1:06:51your marriage, if you've been dropping
1:06:52the ball in your friendship, if you've
1:06:53been dropping the ball with your
1:06:54children, if you've been dropping the
1:06:56ball at work, if you've been dropping
1:06:57the ball with finances, this study was
1:06:59for you. And if there was a conviction,
1:07:01I hope that it gives you the
1:07:02confirmation that you need and it helps
1:07:03you now navigate the things that you
1:07:05should be navigating because I'm a
1:07:06person who had to go through it as well.
1:07:09God was whooping my blood. [laughter]
1:07:13Remember, our obedience to God is a lot
1:07:14more important than anything else.
1:07:17Okay.
1:07:19And we are empowered to partner with God
1:07:22and his purposes through our faithful
1:07:24stewardship. So remember, even in our
1:07:26stewardship, it will show if we're truly
1:07:28faithful to God. Okay?
1:07:32Your stewardship is going to show just
1:07:34how faithful to God you are.
1:07:38And then of course y'all, as we finish
1:07:39getting through Genesis,
1:07:42I'm gonna be showing y'all exactly where
1:07:44Jesus was.
1:07:47I'm going to be showing because it's the
1:07:48word of God, right? So, I just want
1:07:50y'all to know Jesus was there.
1:07:54Maybe not the way you saw him in the New

1:10:50word of God, making it plain for us and
1:10:52making it practical so we may be able to
1:10:53carry this throughout our lives and
1:10:55throughout our day. Father God, we thank
1:10:56you for being our creator and helping us
1:10:58understand how we are to function as
1:11:00image bearsers to your name. Father God,
1:11:02we ask that you continue to be with us
1:11:04and guide us and comfort us in walking
1:11:07this walk, Father God, knowing that you
1:11:08are walking this with us so that way we
1:11:10can spread the order and we can spread
1:11:12the word of God and we can show people
1:11:14who you are as kingdom agents. We do not
1:11:17take this job lightly. And we thank you
1:11:19for this, Father God. We thank you for
1:11:20the love that you have poured on us. We
1:11:23thank you for the sacrifice of Christ
1:11:26Jesus that we may be restored to you and
1:11:28redeemed. Father God, this is such a
1:11:30blessing to be able to share this space
1:11:32with all of the students of the word of
1:11:34God, including myself, Father God. And I
1:11:36thank you for the vessels. I thank you
1:11:37for the instruments that are in this
1:11:39study right now who are out speaking and
1:11:41evangelizing and teaching boldly in the
1:11:44authority of Christ Jesus. And so God,
1:11:46as we carry throughout our days, Father
1:11:48God, we ask that you continue to stay in
1:11:49our heads, Father God. That whatever the
1:11:51enemy is trying to do that is working
1:11:52against us, that you silence the enemy,
1:11:54Father God. And we thank you for the
1:11:56angels that are ministering to us,
1:11:58Father God. When we have moments of
1:11:59doubt, they give us clarity. When
1:12:01[snorts] we have moments where we need a
1:12:02word from you, Father God, they send the
1:12:03message, Father God. And we thank you
1:12:05for the angels that are fighting the
1:12:07dark forces right now. The kings of
1:12:09Persia who are trying to stop us from
1:12:11receiving the promises from you, who are
1:12:13trying to stop the answered prayers that
1:12:15we have sent up into the heavens, Father
1:12:16God. And we thank you for the courts
1:12:18right now, Father God. We thank you for
1:12:19the heavens, the courts of the heavens,
1:12:21Father God, because the accuser has
1:12:23constantly tried to accuse us, but you
1:12:25always shout it down, Father God,
1:12:27because of the blood, Father God. So, we
1:12:29thank you for Christ Jesus. We thank you
1:12:31for the time that you have invested in
1:12:33us. We thank you for the word of God
1:12:35that you have left with us. We thank you
1:12:36for our advocate. We thank you for our
1:12:38counsel. We thank you for the Holy
1:12:40Spirit. And we thank you for Christ
1:12:41Jesus. So, as we move throughout this
1:12:43study, Father God, let this word of God
1:12:45continue to move with us throughout the
1:12:47rest of our days, Father God, that we
1:12:49may be able to teach someone who was not
1:12:51able to make it to the study. And so, I
1:12:53pray a covering over those who are
1:12:54traveling. I pray a covering over those
1:12:55who are getting ready for sleep. I pray
1:12:57a covering over all the parents, over
1:12:59all who are married, over all of the
1:13:00singles. Father God, I pray a covering
1:13:02over everyone that they would be blessed
1:13:04in the mighty and matchless name. So, in
1:13:05the mighty and matches name of Christ
1:13:07Jesus, we pray. Amen.
