0:00Vegeta's Potara earrings snap in half
0:01during a battle, and instead of
0:02splitting back into Goku and Vegeta like
0:04they're supposed to, absolutely nothing
0:06happens. Whis checks his staff expecting
0:07[music] two separate energy signatures
0:09to reappear, but it only reads one
0:10permanently. Beerus goes pale because
0:12Potara fusion has never once failed to
0:14reverse in recorded history, which means
0:15somewhere inside Vegito, Goku's
0:16consciousness and Vegeta's consciousness
0:18aren't coexisting [music] anymore.
0:19They're merging into something that's
0:20neither of them. Vegito doesn't seem
0:22worried at all. He just smiles and says
0:23he finally feels whole. When Whis
0:25presses him, Vegito says something that
0:27stops [music] Beerus cold. He remembers
0:28being born on Planet Vegeta as a prince,
0:30and he remembers being sent on Earth.
0:32Both childhoods [music] at the exact
0:33same time. Then Bulma comes running and
0:35screaming that Trunks is vanishing from
0:36every family photo. Whis realizes the
0:38fusion isn't only combining power, it's
0:40combining [music] history, and it's
0:41choosing which version of the timeline
0:42gets to survive. He tells Beerus that if
0:44Vegito stays fused past 1 hour, the
0:46merge locks permanently, and one entire
0:47family, [music] Goku's or Vegeta's, will
0:49be rewritten as if it never existed.
0:50Beerus orders Whis to force the unfusion
0:52with divine energy, but the second
0:53[music] Whis touches Vegito's shoulder,
0:55he's blasted backward and knocked out
0:56cold. When Whis wakes up seconds later
0:58shaking, he says four [music] words
0:59nobody expected. He asked me not to.
