0:02little bit about presentation slides

0:03what makes a good presentation slide

0:05versus what makes a bad presentation

0:07slide and it's not going to be what

0:09people have typically been talking about

0:11so you want to stick around for this one

0:22related to my business Quan multimedia

0:24it's a video marketing agency so you'll

0:26see some of those videos here as well

0:28but for the most part you're gonna get

0:30presentations tips tricks and how to's

0:32to give better presentations so make

0:34sure you like and subscribe and hit that

0:35Bell icon as well when we're talking

0:38about good presentation slides what I'm

0:40referring to our slides that are first

0:42of all they're clear that means that

0:44people know exactly what you're talking

0:45about when they look at your slide that

0:47also means that the text on your slide

0:49shouldn't be so small that people the

0:51back of the room cannot read them you

0:53want to make sure that everything is

0:54large enough you want a plan for people

0:56not being able to see your slides well

0:58so make sure everything is large and

1:01clear images that you use also are not

1:03fuzzy make sure you get the highest

1:04resolution images you can the second tip

1:07he is related to the text that you're

1:09actually going to have on the slide now

1:11most people will tell you put a minimum

1:14amount of text on the slide because you

1:15want to make sure that they're not

1:16reading everything and that you just

1:18want people to look at the image and

1:20just a little bit of text and figure

1:21things out now this is okay and it's a

1:23good strategy however one thing you have

1:26to keep in mind is your audience if your

1:28audience happens to be people that may

1:31have a little bit of difficulty

1:32understanding everything you're saying

1:34simply by just listening to you so maybe

1:36they speak a different language than you

1:38maybe for example they're not native

1:40English speakers or maybe they are

1:42people that they are older or in some

1:45way they need a little bit of help with

1:47points on the slide to keep track of

1:50what's going on so in that case I highly

1:52recommend putting some text on the

1:54slides and that leads to point number

1:56three that I'm going to make here and

1:57that is don't write sentences down when

2:01I say don't write sentences and putting

2:02slides in text onto the slides and

2:04you're like what do you mean should I

2:06put text but don't put sentences what do

2:07I do what you want to do in this case is

2:09you want to put phrases or

2:11keywords onto the slide that at least

2:14tell people what you're talking about

2:16if they need a little bit more detail

2:18that's fine but judge you know use your

2:20own best judgment think about the

2:22audience they need to see everything so

2:24on those slides if you're gonna have

2:26good slides you're gonna make sure that

2:27the text you have comes out one at a

2:30time as you're speaking about that

2:32particular point the reason why this is

2:34important is because if you put

2:36everything on there the audits will read

2:38a lot faster than you can talk now what

2:40makes a bad presentation slide these are

2:42slides that have a ton of really small

2:44text and it looks like you took a Word

2:47document and copied and pasted it on to

2:50your slides come on I know you've all

2:52done it before

2:53everyone does it I know let's stop doing

2:55that all right stop copying and pasting

2:57your Word documents into your PowerPoint

2:59slides that is terrible that's lazy in

3:02fact so it doesn't give a good

3:04impression that's also another reason

3:06why these are so bad you're not giving a

3:08report you're giving a presentation when

3:10you do that as well right people are

3:11gonna read everything and you know the

3:14biggest mistake that a lot of presenters

3:15make is that they'll also read together

3:17they'll look over they'll read

3:19everything and the audience is already

3:20finished reading so don't do that that

3:23makes a bad presentation slide so what

3:26you want to do as I said before is make

3:28sure that your presentation slides are

3:30clear make sure the text is nice and

3:32large and you're not putting your whole

3:34report or whatever onto there just make

3:36sure you're putting some phrases or

3:37keywords that will guide people along in

3:40your presentation I hope you've gotten

3:42some good tips here about what makes a

3:44good presentation slide versus a bad

3:46presentation slide so take a little bit

3:48time to figure those things out and your

3:50presentation will stand out not because

3:51it looks bad not because the slides look

3:54bad but because you actually did a great

3:55job with it anyway let me know if you've

3:57any questions or comments about that

3:58thank you for watching and we'll see in

3:59the next video
