0:00I get this question almost every day on
0:01my live stream . Why do I use the Apple
0:03Sheevo instead of the Thunderstorm Rune
0:05? Glom Pillar , which is a place where
0:07Hoy is very resistant . So I did the
0:08math and today I'm going to show why
0:10this happens and when it doesn't . And
0:12I'm going to use this video , logically ,
0:13to promote the live stream , right ?
0:15Then a little while later , the fat
0:16woman grabbed his vodka bottle and
0:17smashed the bottom of the bottle into
0:19my brother's friend's forehead , who was
0:20with him . My brother punched the fat
0:23woman in the eye . Eye ?
0:26The fat woman dropped dead in the
0:28middle of the club . Because the
0:30questions came from there , so if I
0:31wasn't doing a live stream , I most
0:32likely wouldn't be making this video .
0:34And no , frankly , I'm not Asian . Well ,
0:36let's get straight to what matters . And
0:38I made this slide very similar to the
0:41previous video about base damage ,
0:42you'll recognize it in the video , to
0:44explain what's happening there , and why
0:47I use Apple Sheevo in a rant that
0:48resists Hoy . And how much resistance
0:50does it have ? On average , it resists
0:5262-63 % . And compared to the Energy
0:55element , right , of Thunder Storm , which
0:57on average is weak , it's 109 % . The
1:00reading is kind of obvious , we should
1:01be using Thunder . Where did I get these
1:03numbers from ? If you take your Hunt
1:05Analyzer with the number of creatures
1:07killed for each creature in the Hunt ,
1:09you put it into this Tibia Maps tool ,
1:11and it will give you the Hunt's
1:13resistance profile . And we see there
1:16that today it's 62.81 and the Energy is
1:18at 109.07 . The numbers I used are these
1:21, right ? So , in reality , this is just a
1:23weighting because of the number of
1:25creatures , the creature's HP , and in
1:26the end , this is the result . So , we see
1:29that one of the reasons Hole is so
1:31resistant is because Pillar has a lot
1:34of health and 50 % resistance , which is
1:36why Hole is very resistant , and all the
1:38others are above 100 % , averaging 109.
1:41Now , about the damage difference
1:43between the two attacks , the Apple
1:45spell and the Thunderstorm rune . We
1:48already saw in the previous video that
1:50the base damage will be different
1:52because of the base power . The Apple
1:54spell has a base three times greater
1:56than Thunderstorm , right ? So
1:59Thunderstorm has 50 and Apple has 150.
2:01We know that Apple damage will always
2:03be higher . There will be a flat part
2:05that is standard for the character and
2:07there will be a base part that will be
2:08three times greater in Apple . And
2:10before going to the next slide , I just
2:12want to say that I left something in
2:13this slide . And if you noticed that I
2:15left it here , leave a comment on the
2:17video . But now we need to consider the
2:19effect of Hunt's resistance , right ? So ,
2:21we know that Hunt hits harder than
2:23Thunderstorm , okay ? However , now we're
2:26going to do the multiplication , right ?
2:28Applying Hunt's resistance will put the
2:30effect into effect . And when we do that
2:32, what will happen ? These flat and base
2:34blocks here , just so you understand the
2:37concept , we're going to multiply by the
2:39average of 62.1 , and the Thunderstorm
2:41part here , we're going to multiply by
2:44the average of Hunt , 1.0907 . And when
2:47we do that , the apple egg has less
2:50damage than Thunderstorm , right ? In
2:52this example , which is a level 1000 ,
2:54it's ML 45. And now we have a first
2:56concept , and one of the most important
2:59concepts in this video , which is the
3:01following : One point of flat damage is
3:03worth 0.63 for apple egg , and one point
3:05of flat damage is worth 1.09 for
3:07Thunderstorm . So it's very difficult to
3:10keep increasing your Magic Level ( ML )
3:11to increase your base damage . It's much
3:14easier to keep increasing your level ,
3:15thus increasing your flat damage , but
3:17the flat damage is multiplied by your
3:19resistance . So , every time you gain 5 ,
3:216 , or 7 levels , depending on your level
3:23range , and you gain a point of flat
3:25damage , that point of flat damage in
3:27Apple Reeves won't translate into 1
3:29point of damage ; it will become 0.63 on
3:31average , and in Thunder Storm , it will
3:33become 1.09 damage on average . So , this
3:35will always happen . The more levels you
3:38have , the more Thunder Storm will
3:40distance itself from Apple Reeves . At
3:42my level and MR45 , Thunder Storm is
3:44already better , and the higher the
3:45level , the more it will distance itself
3:47. But then there are some things that
3:49change the game , right ? And the main
3:52one , right ? I'll talk about several ,
3:54but I'll focus now on the main one ,
3:56which is the effect of Pierce . Why ?
3:59Because Pierce works differently
4:01depending on the resistance . When the
4:04resistance there is below 100 , the
4:05Pierce effect is applied at 100 % . And
4:08when the resistance is above 100 , it's
4:10applied at half . So when we take a
4:12Pierce effect , for example , the Pierce
4:14effect coming from the Master
4:15Sorcerer's attack debuff , which is 8 % ,
4:17and apply it here to the hold , those 62
4:19will increase by eight , because 62 is
4:21below 100. And in Thunderstorm , since
4:23it's above 100 , it won't be applied at
4:25eight , it will be applied at four . So
4:27when we apply the Expose Weakness
4:29effect here , we see that 62 became 70
4:31and 109 became 113. And when we do the
4:33relative damage increase here , going
4:35from 63 to 70 , that's a relative
4:37increase of almost 13 % . And going from
4:40109 to 113 , that's an increase of
4:42almost 4 % , a relative increase of
4:44almost 4 % . So , Estevo Maçã ( Apple )
4:46deals significantly more damage than
4:48Thunderstorm because the effect of the
4:50elemental resistance is different . And
4:51now we're going to the lab , which is
4:53something you all really liked in the
4:54previous video , and it'll be in this
4:56one too . So , first of all , we're
4:58already here with the elemental
5:00resistance effect applied . How do I
5:02know this ? Because a level 1200 doesn't
5:04have 134 flat resistance . Actually ,
5:06it's quite easy to see this . If I take
5:08a level 1100 , it should have 200 , right
5:10? Because the first 500 levels will
5:13give you 100 flat resistance , and the
5:14next 600 levels , totaling that 100 ,
5:16will give you another 100 flat
5:18resistance . So you should have 200.
5:20This 200 applied with the resistance of
5:23the 62 Apple becomes 126. And this 200
5:25applied with 109 from Thunderstorm ,
5:27right ? The elemental resistance of
5:29Energy becomes 218. And in this example
5:31here , which is a level 1100 magic level
5:3445 , Thunder is hitting harder . So let's
5:36adjust the sliders . The first one is
5:38the level . And I already talked about
5:39the effect of the level in a previous
5:40slide , right ? So the higher the level ,
5:42the more Thunderstorm will distance
5:44itself from the damage of the Apple
5:46Doev . And that won't change with
5:48anything . More level , more damage from
5:50Thunder Store . And now the effect of
5:51the magic level . Magic level will have
5:53the opposite effect . If the base power
5:55of the Apple Doev is higher than
5:57Thunderstorm , increasing the magic
5:59level brings more damage to the Apple
6:01Doev . So if we increase the magic level
6:04here , both will increase , but the Apple
6:05Doev will increase more than
6:07Thunderstorm . So there will be a point
6:10where the Apple Doev surpasses
6:11Thunderstorm at this level . But magic
6:13level 60 is already somewhat absurd ,
6:15right ? So you need a lot of magic level
6:17, a lot of RLE magic level to have
6:18magic level 60. That's why I even put
6:20this here as a limit . And so this guy
6:23here with ML60 at level 1000 and 1300 -
6:25something here , he already has the
6:26damage from Thunder Storm becoming
6:28greater than the Apple Key . And then
6:30the more levels he has , the distance
6:32will only increase . But now I'll go
6:34back , for example , here to level 1100
6:36at level 45 where Thunderstorm is
6:37winning . And now I'm going to apply
6:39Expose Weakness . Remember I explained
6:40in the last slide that Expose Weakness
6:42will make a much bigger difference with
6:43Apple Key ? So when I apply Expose
6:45Weakness here , what will happen ? Apple
6:48Key will take more damage than Thunder
6:49Storm , and that's what happens . So ,
6:52without Expose Weakness , Thunder Storm
6:54is stronger , with Apple Key it becomes
6:56stronger . And now we're going to see
6:59the same thing , right , the same
7:00functioning in a different graph so I
7:02can answer your specific question ,
7:03right ? Why me , on my character , and I'm
7:07using Apple Key . So , this graph here is
7:09very important because it will show the
7:10breakpoint . We know that at low levels ,
7:13the flat portion is smaller than the
7:15base , and the base of the Apple Egg is
7:17higher than the base of the
7:19Thunderstorm . So yes , it's expected
7:22that we'll have better Apple Egg damage
7:25at lower levels , but as we gain more
7:26levels , the effect of the Hunch
7:28elemental existence gains strength . So
7:31Apple Egg damage will always get
7:33stronger , but its increase is very slow
7:35, and Thunderstorm will get stronger .
7:38However , Thunderstorm's damage increase
7:39is greater than Apple Egg damage
7:40increase . And there will be a point
7:43where Thunderstorm , in this example ,
7:45surpasses Apple Egg damage at level
7:47962. But this is a neutral character ,
7:49right ? It's not my character . So now I
7:51have to change a few things in order to
7:53set up the build of my character
7:54exactly as it should be . So first of
7:56all , I'm going to put flat damage here
7:58because this wheel is at zero , and I
7:59don't play with a zero wheel . Before I
8:01put this here , think about it : what
8:03will be the effect of increasing the
8:04flat damage ? Because I'm adding wheel
8:06damage . We already learned in the
8:07previous video about base damage that
8:08wheel damage increases with flat damage
8:10. Which attack will benefit most from
8:12this increase ? We already know , right ?
8:14Flat damage becomes , on average , 1.09
8:17for Thunder and 0.63 for Apple Proc . So
8:20increasing this damage here will make
8:23Thunder better . And what will happen to
8:25the Break Point ? If Thunder gets better
8:27, the Break Point will move to the left
8:29, meaning we'll see that Thunder
8:31becomes better sooner . But I'll add 44
8:35and you'll see that the break point
8:37went from 962 to 698. Okay , I'll add
8:39Transcendence here , which is the tier
8:41for legs . Why am I adding this ? Because
8:44this is important . Transcendence gives
8:46us some avatar procs during the hunt .
8:49Avatar procs give us 100 % critical hit
8:51chance . And the attacks have different
8:53extra critical damage , so that's why I
8:56need to consider the avatar here , right
8:58, the legs tier . I'll put my distance
9:00fighting here too . I'll explain why
9:02later , right ? And putting these two
9:03things in hasn't changed anything on
9:05the graph yet . Okay , let's continue .
9:07Critical damage , I'm using a Sanguin
9:09Bow , so it's 12 % on both . Well , nothing
9:11has changed here yet , because the extra
9:13critical damage is still zero . And now
9:15we're going to add the extra critical
9:17damage . First of all , I'm going to put
9:19the critical damage of the Thunderstorm
9:21, which is the standard for the second
9:22Bow , 72. When I put this 72 , right , now
9:24with critical chance and damage set ,
9:26we'll see that the Thunder's damage
9:28will increase because of the average
9:30damage increase caused by the critical
9:32damage . Again , if the Thunder's damage
9:34increased , the BK point will shift to
9:35the left , because the Thunder gets
9:37better earlier . So I'm going to put 72
9:39now , the BK point is at 400. But when
9:41it comes to putting the extra critical
9:43damage on the Apple , we don't put 72 ,
9:44because the Apple has more critical
9:46damage than the Thunder . We have 72 ,
9:48which is the standard damage from the
9:51Sanguin Graves , and we have another 20
9:53from the Sanguin Bow proficiency . So
9:55the extra critical damage of the Apple
9:58is 100. And now we've moved the
10:00breakpoint to the right because the
10:02Apple improved . But then we're missing
10:04one thing , the magic level , right ? And
10:06I just realized that the magic level is
10:0845 , and that's actually my real magic
10:10level . So I'm going to do this and put
10:1348. And we see , as the previous slide
10:15showed , increasing the magic level
10:17makes the Apple better because it has a
10:19higher base . But besides the standard
10:22magic level , I also pair it with some
10:24things that give holes , like the Quiver
10:25and the Ring Beast . So I'm going to add
10:28two more holes . And this magic level
10:30CER today , it will only help the Apple
10:33Key . Apple Key will be better ,
10:34breakpoint to the right . One more thing
10:37, base damage Apple Key , in this case ,
10:39because in my wheel I have the Apple
10:41Key with a 10 % base increase . When I put
10:44this 10 increase in base damage because
10:46of the wheel , we'll make the breakpoint
10:48and go to the right . Okay ? But still ,
10:52right , I still take 1800 damage , I'm
10:54still in the range where Thunderstorm
10:55hits the most . And the last thing I'm
10:58going to change in my build is the
11:00distance damage bonus for spells , right
11:01? It's that perk from the Sony Bow . And
11:04in the case of the Sony Bow it's 10.
11:05Since it's extra damage from spells ,
11:07this damage will only increase for the
11:09Apple Key , it won't increase for
11:10Thunderstorm . That's also why I put
11:12distance damage here , otherwise it
11:13wouldn't work . So I put 10 here , to the
11:16right . Okay , this is my build , there's
11:19nothing more to do , alright ? So , within
11:21my level range , which is level 1800 , I
11:23should be using the Tunter item . We've
11:25already applied some variables , but we
11:27forgot to apply the most important one ,
11:28which is the piercing , specifically ,
11:30the piercing from Expose Weakness , the
11:32sorcerer's attack debuff . And now this
11:33graph will have a little animation ,
11:34right ? So , pay close attention so you
11:36don't get lost . I'm going to move this
11:38slider here from left to right . At
11:40first , something will happen : the
11:42piercing effect will only be applied to
11:44Thunder . So , we'll see the Thunder
11:46curve going up . When it reaches the
11:49middle , the Thunder effect has been
11:50applied , it won't go up anymore . And
11:52then I'll start applying the apple
11:54piercing effect . And when it reaches
11:56the end , the piercing effect has been
11:58applied 100 % . So , pay close attention .
12:01I'm going to start moving the slider .
12:02Focus here first , which is Thunder
12:04gaining damage , right ? So I'm going to
12:06move it and you'll see that Thunder is
12:07increasing , the curve is going up ,
12:09right ? The damage is increasing . Also ,
12:12notice that the curve will only go up
12:14for Thunder and the breakpoint will
12:16move to the left . And here in the
12:19middle I applied the piercing only to
12:21Thunder . From here on I'm going to
12:23apply the piercing to the apple egg .
12:26The apple egg will gain damage , it will
12:27gain much more damage than Thunder
12:29because of the behavior already
12:30discussed in the video on how piercing
12:32works . So , again , notice here first the
12:36apple egg gaining damage . So , I'm going
12:38to start increasing here and you can
12:39see that the apple egg gains much more
12:41than Thunder , right ? So , at the very
12:44end here for this build , Thunder moved
12:46from here and only went up this much ,
12:47while apple moved from here and went up
12:49all this much . Yes , it goes up much
12:52more . And the second effect , right , is
12:54that if I increased the damage of the
12:56apple egg , I made the breakpoint move
12:58to the right . Again , remember , this is
13:01my build , this is my character , I'm at
13:03level 1800 , and I'm within the range
13:04where the Apple skill is best . So , to
13:07recap , we saw several parameters that
13:09make the Apple skill better . But
13:11remember , I put all the things in the
13:13build and I was still in the range at
13:14level 1800 where Thunder Storm was
13:16better . It was applying the Expos
13:17Weekness effect that finally allowed me
13:19to get within the range where I can hit
13:21harder . And this range will last for my
13:24build until level 2300. So I'm
13:26comfortable for many levels now , being
13:28able to hit this Apple skill at will .
13:31And that's the summary of the video ,
13:32right ? It's the Gon Piller . On average ,
13:35Hole has a resistance of 63 and Energy
13:37has a resistance of 109. The Egg Apple
13:39skill has a base power three times
13:40greater than Thunder Storm , right ? So
13:43increasing magic level favors the Egg
13:46Apple skill more . The elemental
13:48weakness multiplies the entire hit . So ,
13:50the higher your level , the more damage
13:52Thunderstorm will gain against Apple .
13:55And the parameter that makes the
13:56biggest difference in choosing the best
13:58attack is the expose weakness . Because
14:02of the Pierce effect , which hits at 100
14:05% when the weakness is less than 100 % and
14:07only half when the weakness is above
14:09100 % , Apple gains eight , and Energy ,
14:11right ? Thunderstorm will only gain 4 %
14:15from Piercing . And lastly , level always
14:18favors Energy , it will always favor
14:20Thunderstorm . All these things we've
14:23mentioned , like magic level , Py ,
14:25proficiency perks , Wheel perks , all of
14:27that will only delay the change , but
14:29the change will happen at some point .
14:32For me , that change will happen at
14:33level 2300. So , let's leave the
14:35information until then . So , that's it
14:36for today's video . I hope you enjoyed
14:38it . Thanks .
