0:01stabilizes. His body hitting the ground
0:03like a meteor, and Whis rushes to his
0:04side screaming his name because a god of
0:06destruction is not supposed to be able
0:08to fall, but Beerus's energy is
0:09completely gone, drained to nothing, and
0:11his eyes are barely open. Whis checks
0:12his vitality, and his hand starts
0:14shaking. Beerus did not just give
0:15energy, he gave centuries of his
0:16lifespan, burning through his divine
0:18essence to save a mortal woman he barely
0:19knows, and now his body is shutting
0:21down. Goku drops beside them, his voice
0:23breaking as he begs Beerus to stay
0:24awake, asking why he would do this. And
0:26Beerus's response is barely a whisper,
0:27"Because you are my friend. I am tired
0:29of watching friends destroy themselves."
0:30Whis cannot stop the tears now. His
0:32composure completely shattered. He has
0:33never seen him make a choice like this,
0:35sacrifice without hesitation. Chi-Chi
0:37sits up slowly, her body no longer
0:38glowing, no longer tearing apart, and
0:40she sees Beerus dying on the ground, and
0:41the realization of what he did for her
0:43breaks something inside her. Her voice
0:44shaking, asking why. "Goku cares about
0:46you, so I guess that makes you worth
0:47saving." Vegeta stands frozen because he
0:49understands what just happened. Beerus
0:50did not save Chi-Chi, he saved Goku from
0:52becoming the monster that would have
0:53destroyed everything to bring her back
0:54again, and the cost was his own
0:55existence. The Grand Priest appears
0:57above them, his face and his voice cuts
0:58through the grief like a blade.
