0:00Beerus suddenly refuses to destroy
0:01[music] Frieza, and everyone thinks he's
0:02gone insane. It begins when Frieza
0:04attacks another planet in Universe 7,
0:06wiping out an entire civilization just
0:07to test a new attack. Furious, [music]
0:09Goku and Vegeta confront him while
0:10Beerus quietly watches from above.
0:12Frieza laughs and mocks Beerus, [music]
0:13expecting the God of Destruction to
0:15erase him on the spot. Instead, Beerus
0:16turns around and starts walking away.
0:18Goku stops him in disbelief. "You're
0:19really going to let him live?" Beerus
0:21doesn't answer. He simply says, [music]
0:22"Nobody touches him." Frieza mistakes
0:23this for fear and launches a blast
0:25directly at Beerus. Without dodging,
0:27Beerus lets the attack hit him. Everyone
0:29is stunned. Beerus [music] could have
0:30ended the fight instantly, yet he
0:31refuses to throw a single punch. Even
0:32Frieza begins to look confused,
0:34believing Beerus has lost his mind.
0:35Vegeta charges at Frieza himself. The
0:37instant Vegeta lands a punch, [music]
0:38every star visible in the sky flickers
0:40out for 1 second. The entire universe
0:42goes dark before the light suddenly
0:43returns. Everyone freezes. Nobody
0:45understands what they [music] just saw.
0:46Goku attacks next. The stars disappear
0:48again. This time, they remain gone for
0:49nearly 3 seconds. Beerus finally shouts
0:51at everyone to stop fighting. He points
0:52toward the sky as another star quietly
0:54[music] vanishes forever. Only then does
0:55everyone realize the terrifying pattern.
0:57Every attack aimed at Frieza causes a
0:58star somewhere in Universe 7 to
1:00disappear. Frieza slowly [music] backs
1:01away. Goku suggests moving Frieza to
1:03another universe to test the theory. The
1:05moment they cross into Universe [music]
1:066, Vegeta throws a small punch. A
1:07distant planet instantly explodes inside
1:09Universe 6. Silence fills the
1:11battlefield. Beerus closes his eyes and
1:13quietly says, "He's become linked."
1:14Before anyone can ask what that means,
1:16Zeno suddenly appears. He looks at
1:17Frieza [music] and says something that
1:18makes every God of Destruction turn
1:20pale.
