0:00Vegeta finds Beerus's name written
0:01inside the Demon Realm's forbidden
0:03records, [music] even though Beerus has
0:04never been there. It begins when Vegeta
0:06and Whis arrive in the Demon Realm after
0:08Whis detects a strange pulse of
0:10destroyer energy. They enter an
0:11abandoned fortress and find a stone
0:12chamber filled with ancient records.
0:14Vegeta notices one name carved deeper
0:16than the others, Beerus. Whis
0:17immediately becomes serious. The record
0:19says Beerus once entered the Demon Realm
0:20and made a deal with its ruler, but
0:22Beerus has no memory of ever being
0:23there. Before they can investigate, the
0:24fortress doors slam shut. A voice from
0:26the darkness says he wasn't supposed to
0:28remember. Vegeta prepares to attack, but
0:29Whis stops him. The voice belongs to an
0:31old Demon Realm guardian [music] who
0:32reveals that Beerus once came there
0:33before becoming a God of Destruction. He
0:35wasn't searching for power, he was
0:36searching [music] for something that
0:37could erase a memory. Vegeta asks whose
0:39memory? The guardian points to another
0:40inscription. It describes a battle
0:42between Beerus and an unknown [music]
0:43enemy that happened before Beerus ever
0:44met Whis. Beerus apparently won, but
0:46couldn't destroy the enemy completely.
0:48Instead, he asked the Demon Realm to
0:49seal the enemy's existence [music] and
0:50remove the memory of the battle from
0:52him. Suddenly, Beerus's voice echoes
0:54through Whis's staff. He has sensed the
0:55disturbance. Leave that place. Vegeta
0:57asks why. Beerus answers only one thing,
0:59because if you found my name, then the
1:00seal is already [music] broken. The
1:02chamber shakes. The ancient records
1:03begin burning from the inside. The
1:05guardian looks terrified and says the
1:06seal [music] wasn't hiding the enemy, it
1:07was hiding Beerus from the enemy.
