0:03as tears stream down his face. And Goku
0:05looks down at the wound with wide,
0:07confused eyes, [music] blood spilling
0:08from his lips as he whispers his son's
0:10name like a question he doesn't
0:11understand. Piccolo watches from the
0:13[music] shadows, his face hard with
0:14grief because he was the one who told
0:15Gohan the truth that the only way to
0:17kill Akumo is to destroy [music] the
0:18host body before the fusion completes.
0:20And waiting even one more hour means
0:22Goku's soul will be gone forever,
0:23consumed entirely by the ancient Sion.
0:25Gohan pulls his hand free and steps
0:26back, his whole body shaking as Goku
0:28collapses to his [music] knees,
0:29clutching the hole in his chest. And for
0:31a brief moment, his eyes flash back to
0:32normal. The real Goku breaking through
0:34just long enough to smile and say,
0:36"Good. You did it. [music] You saved
0:37me." But then his body convulses
0:38violently, and black energy explodes
0:40outward, throwing Gohan across the
0:41battlefield. And when Goku stands again,
0:43his wound is [music] already healing.
0:44His voice layered with something dark
0:45and furious as he says, "You think
0:47killing the body will kill me? I've
0:48survived worse than death boy. I've
0:50survived being a race." His hair turns
0:51white. His eyes split into four pupils
0:53and the energy radiating from him cracks
0:55the planet beneath their feet. Gohan
0:56powers up to his beast form, knowing he
0:58has no choice but to finish this.
