0:05It happens after Vegeta wakes from
0:06training and notices a faint purple mark
0:08beneath his armor. At first, he assumes
0:10it's leftover [music] energy from Ultra
0:11Ego, but when he tries to erase it, the
0:12mark burns brighter. Whis arrives and
0:14freezes the moment he sees it. He tells
0:16Vegeta that the symbol isn't part of
0:17Ultra Ego. It belongs to Beerus. Vegeta
0:19demands an explanation, but Whis says
0:21the mark shouldn't exist unless Beerus
0:22deliberately transferred a portion of
0:24his destroyer power to him. Beerus is
0:25summoned and immediately denies doing
0:27anything. Then the mark suddenly
0:28activates. Beerus feels the same pain
0:30[music] to one knee. Vegeta realizes
0:31they're connected. Before anyone can
0:33investigate further, Beerus's destroyer
0:34energy suddenly begins draining into
0:36Vegeta. Whis tries to stop [music] it,
0:37but the transfer won't break. Vegeta's
0:39eyes turn purple as Beerus becomes
0:40weaker. Then Whis notices something
0:42hidden inside the symbol, [music] a
0:43second, much older marking beneath
0:45Beerus's insignia. He recognizes it from
0:46an ancient angel record. The mark
0:48belongs to Lord Rhymus. Whis reveals
0:50that long before Beerus [music] became
0:51Universe 7's destroyer, Rhymus placed a
0:53seal on the position itself. Every God
0:55of Destruction inherits the seal when
0:56they take the title, but nobody has ever
0:58[music] awakened it. Vegeta asks why
1:00now. Whis looks at Beerus, because Lord
1:02Rhymus has chosen his replacement.
1:03Beerus immediately stands. I'm not dead.
1:05[music] Whis shakes his head. He isn't
1:06replacing you because you're dying.
