0:00Gohan and Chi-Chi attack Goku. Gohan
0:01wraps his fingers around Chi-Chi's and
0:03steps forward. And the moment their
0:04hands connect, a pulse of black and gold
0:06energy explodes outward, knocking Goku
0:08off his feet and scorching the rubble
0:09around them. Goku scrambles upright,
0:11screaming his son's name, but Chi-Chi
0:12raises her free hand and a wall of
0:13demonic energy slams into him, pinning
0:15him against the ruins of a collapsed
0:16building while Gohan stares at his
0:18father with an expression that isn't
0:19hatred, but something quieter and more
0:21final: disappointment that hardened into
0:22a decision. Vegeta recovers from the
0:24mountain and appears beside Goku,
0:25pulling him free. And he tells Chakra
0:27that they need to let Gohan go because
0:28fighting Chi-Chi right now with Piccolo
0:30dead and both of them half broken will
0:31only get them killed. Goku refuses,
0:33shouting that he's not leaving his son.
0:34But Chi-Chi speaks over him and tells
0:36her husband that Gohan made this choice
0:37before she even arrived. At the moment
0:39he held Goku down while the city burned,
0:40he crossed a line that can't be
0:42uncrossed. She activates the portal and
0:43steps through with Gohan at her side.
0:45And just before it closes, Gohan turns
0:47back [music] and looks at Goku one final
0:48time, his voice steady as he says that
0:50he loves him. But love isn't the same as
0:51agreement. The portal seals shut and the
0:53demon army retreats with it, leaving
0:54Goku and [music] Vegeta standing in the
0:55burning wreckage of West City surrounded
0:57by silence. Vegeta watches Goku drop to
0:59his knees and subscribe for next
0:59episode.
