0:01without warning, and Beerus immediately
0:02joins him. Goku has no idea what's
0:04happening as Whis traps him inside an
0:05angel barrier while Beerus charges a
0:07full Hakai. Furious, [music] Vegeta
0:08rushes in to protect Goku, but Beerus
0:10knocks him away and shouts that if Goku
0:12leaves the barrier, Universe 7 will be
0:13destroyed. Goku demands an explanation,
0:15but Whis only [music] says, "You're
0:16counting down." Confused, Goku looks at
0:18his hands and notices glowing symbols
0:19slowly appearing across his body. Every
0:21second, another symbol lights [music]
0:22up. Whis checks his staff and finally
0:23reveals the truth. During his last
0:25battle, Goku unknowingly absorbed a tiny
0:26fragment of energy from every
0:28transformation [music] he has ever
0:29achieved. Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan
0:31God, Ultra Instinct, all of them are now
0:32trying to exist [music] at the same
0:34time. Whis explains that no mortal body
0:35was ever meant to contain every form
0:37simultaneously, and once [music] the
0:38symbols cover Goku's body, all that
0:40power will erupt at once. Beerus refuses
0:42to take the risk and prepares Hakai, but
0:44before he can attack, the symbols
0:45suddenly stop spreading. Everyone thinks
0:46the danger is over until Goku's shadow
0:48begins moving on its own. [music] It
0:49slowly stands up behind him while Goku
0:51remains frozen in place. The shadow
0:52smiles. Without touching Goku, it
0:54transforms into Super Saiyan, then Super
0:55Saiyan Blue, then Ultra Instinct. Within
0:57seconds, Goku drops [music] back to his
0:58base form while the shadow continues
1:00growing stronger. Whis realizes the
1:01impossible has happened. [music] Goku's
1:03transformations have separated from him
1:04and become their own living being.
1:05Beerus immediately attacks, but Hakai
1:07passes straight through the shadow as if
1:08it doesn't exist. The shadow [music]
1:10calmly looks toward the sky and says its
1:11first words. "I've spent years trapped
1:13inside his power. Now I'm taking back
1:14every form." At that exact moment, Goku
1:16tries [music] to transform into Super
1:17Saiyan. Nothing happens.
