0:00All right, let's shift our focus now to
0:01India. A disturbing incident has come to
0:03light from Bihar's Jamui where two
0:05teenagers returning from their coaching
0:08classes were stopped, assaulted, and
0:10harassed by a group of men. This
0:12incident took place on the 19th of
0:14September between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.
0:21Videos of this incident, which went
0:23viral on social media, have triggered
0:25nationwide outrage as they revealed a
0:28group of jeering men holding on to the
0:30young boy as he kept pleading to be let
0:33go. While one of the masked men in the
0:36group kept groping the young girl and
0:39even attempted to carry her away.
0:54In another video, the boy is seen riding
0:55a scooter with the girl seated behind
0:57him as several men surround them. The
0:59two teenagers are seen pleading with the
1:01group to let them go. The Jamoi police
1:04have formed a special investigation team
1:06and three people have been arrested so
1:08far. The police say six to seven people
1:10were involved in this incident and
1:12efforts are underway to trace the other
1:14suspects. An FIR has been registered
1:17under sections of criminal and sexual
1:19assault along with the stringent
1:21protection of children from sexual
1:23offenses or the POXO act.
1:32The incident has drawn political
1:34reactions as well with leader of
1:35opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi
1:37calling it deeply disturbing and calling
1:39for action against those who've been
1:41involved.
