0:06we're going to start with appendicitis
0:08and going back to itis remember itis is
0:11inflammation so this would be
0:13inflammation of the appendix
0:15remember the appendix has uh it stores
0:19beneficial bacteria good bacteria your
0:22body needs that healthy bacteria to
0:24fight off bad bacteria so the appendix
0:27sometimes becomes inflamed with that
0:30bacteria or becomes infected with that
0:32bacteria causes its own share of
0:34problems and needs to be removed
0:36cirrhosis cirrhosis is categorized as
0:39chronic liver disease the term chronic
0:43means that this is something that has
0:44been going on over a period of time so
0:47it can be caused by medication alcohol
0:49use or Hepatitis B or C last term there
0:54choli lithiasis is in reference to
0:57gallstones you have your gallbladder
1:00which your gallbladder also just like
1:02the appendix can become overwhelmed uh
1:06the the gallbladder has the ability to
1:09create stones and when it does those are
1:13called polyithiasis they tend to either
1:16need to be broken up or surgically
1:18removed constipation the second term
1:21down difficult defecation very very
1:24common Chief complaint among our Elder
1:27Community as we age unfortunately our
1:30metabolism our digestive system starts
1:33to slow down that can create its own
1:35share of Havoc for our elderly community
1:38and make it tougher for them to have a
1:40bowel movement which could lead to the
1:42constipation Crohn's disease something
1:44that we're seeing a little bit more of
1:46inflammatory bowel disease typically
1:48affecting the small intestines and then
1:51the last term there you have is
1:53gastritis
1:55gastro is stomach itis inflammation this
1:58would be inflammation of the stomach
