0:11platelets are responsible for the
0:13clotting process in your blood they are
0:16necessary and we do have two terms that
0:18are in reference to platelets and their
0:21clotting ability so you have a high
0:24platelet level count that would be
0:26thrombocytosis and someone who has a low
0:29platelet count would be thrombocytopenia
0:33so someone with a low platelet count
0:35might require additional assistance in
0:38venipuncture if they were to experience
0:41some sort of injury that broke into the
0:43skin that caused bleeding we would
0:46expect to see their body take a little
0:48bit longer than the average in order for
0:50the platelets to rise up to the site and
0:53clot start the climb process
