0:00Today I want to talk to you about the

0:01only way to improve your English because

0:04yes, believe it or not, there's actually

0:06only one way to improve your English.

0:08Now, before I get into that, I want to

0:10share something that happened to me

0:12yesterday. Now, I received three

0:14messages from three different students

0:16which honestly frustrated me a little

0:19bit. Normally, I'm a pretty patient

0:20person, but I got a bit frustrated

0:22yesterday. And I'm going to read these

0:24messages to you now. The first student

0:26told me, "I'm busy this week, but I'll

0:28start improving my English in a couple

0:30weeks." The second student told me,

0:32"I'll finally start talking to people in

0:34English as soon as I learn correct

0:37grammar." And the third student told me,

0:40"I'll finally work on my English when I

0:43move to Australia." Now, what do all

0:45these three statements have in common?

0:47They are excuses. They are excuses that

0:51students make to avoid studying, to

0:54avoid putting in the work, to avoid

0:55improving their English. Now, this

0:57brings me to my next point and I thought

0:59a bit about this yesterday. When's the

1:02best time to learn English? Is it at a

1:04specific time of year, a specific

1:06season, maybe in the fall when you go

1:08back to school? Is it at a specific time

1:10of day, in the morning, in the evening,

1:12in the afternoon? Now look to answer

1:13this question I want to tell you a

1:15little story a personal story about

1:18myself. In 2022 I started posting on Tik

1:22Tok. I posted short videos, short

1:24grammar lessons, short vocabulary

1:26lessons on Tik Tok because I had a goal.

1:29My goal was to grow my social media

1:31following and to help more people become

1:33fluent in English. So obviously to do

1:35that I needed to film content. I needed

1:37to post. I needed to come up with video

1:39ideas. I needed to do all that stuff.

1:42And I needed to obviously post on Tik

1:44Tok, show my face to the world, post on

1:46Instagram, post on YouTube. Now, at the

1:49time, I was also working another job

1:51full-time. I was working about 40 hours

1:53a week. And at the end of the day, I

1:55came home, I was tired. I didn't have

1:57any motivation. I wanted to sleep to be

1:59honest. I was very exhausted after work,

2:02but I still had this goal. And this goal

2:04again was to grow my social media

2:06following. Now, the only way that you

2:08are able to watch my videos, the only

2:10way that I'm able to communicate with

2:12you right now is because I ignored my

2:15feelings at the time. I ignored how I

2:17felt. I ignored the fact that I was

2:19tired. I had no motivation. I didn't

2:21want to post, but I still did it. I

2:24still did it. And I still did it every

2:25single day. And here we are today.

2:27You're watching my videos. I have about

2:292 million followers on Tik Tok. I have

2:31about 2 million followers on Instagram.

2:33I have, at the time of recording, about

2:35500,000 on YouTube, which is growing

2:38very quickly. It's only been 3 years

2:40that I've been doing this. And I

2:42attribute this success to the fact that

2:44I post as much as I can. I work every

2:48day. I put in the work. I put in the

2:50effort even if I don't feel like it.

2:52Because to be honest, I wake up in the

2:54morning. I don't always want to work. I

2:55like my bed. My bed is cozy. I like to

2:58stay in bed. But I still get out of bed.

3:00I still open my computer. I still work.

3:02I still film content. I still do it

3:04because that's my goal. And it's the

3:07exact same thing when learning a

3:08language or any other skill in life. The

3:11people who succeed, the people who

3:13achieve their goals are the people who

3:15are able to ignore their feelings to put

3:20in the work to put in effort every

3:23single day to show up and to do what's

3:25needed every single day to achieve their

3:27goals. Those are the people that

3:29succeed. So to answer the question that

3:31we asked earlier, the best time to

3:32improve your English is right now. It's

3:35right now. It's not tomorrow. It's not

3:36next week. It's not next month. It's

3:38right now. There will always be things

3:40you want to do instead of studying.

3:42There will always be excuses. You'll

3:44always be too tired. You'll always want

3:46to put it off to the next day. You'll

3:48always be too busy. You'll always be

3:50unsure of your routine or any of that

3:54stuff. I mean, those are all excuses.

3:55And they're excuses that I have made,

3:57too. They're excuses that everybody has

3:59made. I'm not perfect. Some days I give

4:01it 120%, some days I give it 50%. I'm

4:04not saying you always have to be

4:06perfect. You always have to work at

4:08120%. But you do need to realize that

4:12the sooner you start, the sooner you put

4:13in the effort, the sooner you actually

4:15get a move on, the sooner you will see

4:17results. You are in control of your

4:19future. The only person in control of

4:22your future is you. If you want to

4:24become fluent in English, you have the

4:26power to make that happen. If you want

4:28to learn a skill or you want to become

4:31very good at something, you have the

4:33power to make that happen. You are in

4:35control. You can decide when that

4:37happens. Now, I can also tell you how

4:39not to become fluent in English. Do

4:42nothing. If you don't do anything,

4:43you're never going to become fluent.

4:44That's a guaranteed way to never become

4:47fluent in English. You have to always be

4:48doing something every single day.

4:50Something is better than nothing. Now,

4:52what can you do to improve your English?

4:54I've talked about this a lot on this

4:56channel, and it's honestly quite simple.

4:59There's a three-step formula that I like

5:00to use. Learn, speak, and get feedback.

5:04It's very, very simple. Learning is

5:06easy. You can do that anywhere. There's

5:07literally no excuse. You're learning by

5:09watching my videos. Whenever you learn

5:11new vocabulary, you hear new vocabulary,

5:13write it down. Create a notebook. Open

5:16your phone. Have a list of vocabulary in

5:19your notes app. Watch movies. Watch TV.

5:21Watch podcasts. Set your phone to

5:23English. All this stuff. It's super

5:24super basic. But you'd be surprised how

5:26many students aren't doing this. Even if

5:29you're watching my videos for 15 minutes

5:30a day, that's a very good start. It's

5:32better than nothing. Write down any

5:35vocabulary that's new. Keep a list, as I

5:37mentioned. Now, that's phase one. Phase

5:39two is to speak. It's like you go to the

5:42gym and you watch people work out.

5:43You're not going to build any muscle if

5:45you just watch people work out. You

5:46actually have to go work out yourself.

5:48And when you learn a language, you have

5:50to speak. If you don't speak, you won't

5:52improve. I know for some of you, this

5:53might be a bit difficult because you

5:55aren't in an English-speaking country.

5:57Maybe you don't have anybody to speak

5:58with. Again, I have made videos on this

6:00topic on my channel. So, you can watch

6:02them on the channel. But at the end of

6:04the day, you have to speak. If you're

6:06not speaking, you're not improving.

6:07That's phase two. And when you speak,

6:09you have to try to use that vocabulary

6:11you learn on your own in conversation

6:14because that's how you remember it. If

6:16you don't use the vocabulary, you will

6:18forget it. It's very very simple. Now,

6:20phase three is somewhat optional, but

6:23it's a very good idea to do this to get

6:25feedback. When you make mistake, you

6:28need somebody to correct you. Otherwise,

6:29you might form bad habits. Now, you can

6:32use AI for this. I know a lot of

6:34students who do use AI for this.

6:36Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of

6:37AI because sometimes it makes mistakes.

6:39It tends to agree with you a lot. But

6:41you can do this if you don't have

6:42anybody else. Of course, if you want to

6:45improve your English with us, we would

6:47be more than happy to look at your

6:49application. We've helped thousands of

6:51students over the last few years improve

6:53their English online. We don't work with

6:55everybody. We only work with students

6:57who are more at the intermediate and

6:59advanced levels. We only work with

7:01students who have two to three hours a

7:03week at least to improve their English

7:06and we only work with students who are

7:08very very motivated. But if you are

7:10interested in applying and submitting an

7:13application, you can click the link in

7:14the description below to learn more. And

7:16if we can help you, we will be in touch.

7:19So what do I want you to take away from

7:20this video? If there's anything you take

7:22away from this video, I just want you to

7:24do something. Anytime you feel like you

7:27don't have any motivation to learn

7:28English, anytime you feel lazy, anytime

7:30you procrastinate, you put things off

7:32into the future, the only person you are

7:35harming is yourself. You're harming your

7:38future self. Because I know, and I know

7:40this from experience working with

7:42thousands of students in our programs

7:44and hearing from hundreds of thousands

7:46and millions of students online, if you

7:48put in the effort, if you follow that

7:50three-step formula, if you learn, if you

7:52speak, if you get feedback, you will

7:54improve your English. It's not rocket

7:56science. It's just a language. And it

7:58just takes practice. It just takes time.

8:00I know it's not glamorous. I know it's

8:02not super exciting, but that's the

8:05reality. Learn, speak, get feedback.

8:08Combine that with practice and time,

8:10that is your recipe for fluency. Now,

8:13it's my goal to make you fluent in

8:14English. So, if you would like to
