0:01Hey,
0:02I noticed you were moving around a lot.
0:06I don't know if you're nervous or
0:07something cuz it's our first time
0:10sharing a bed together, you know,
0:14since we
0:18made things official.
0:20I'm kind of nervous, too, but the way
0:24you were moving around,
0:27it kind of seemed like you were having a
0:28nightmare.
0:31Well, I hope that's not the case. If it
0:34is, I'd like to be there for you
0:38if you let me.
0:42Yeah, don't worry about it. I don't
0:45really care if your moving around woke
0:47me up.
0:49What I do care about is
0:53offering my company and, you know, an
0:57ear if you need to talk.
0:59What's been keeping you up?
1:03I see. So, a nightmare then.
1:08Come here.
1:14It's okay. Well, you don't need to talk
1:17about it. All you need to do is breathe
1:21and remember that you're safe.
1:25No nightmares, night terrors, or
1:28monsters are going to get you when
1:30you're here with me.
1:33Trust me, I assure you. I'm much too
1:37scary for anything to want to come after
1:39me.
1:43Just rest while I bet your head, okay?
1:46Everything's going to be all right.
1:49There's nothing in the world you need to
1:51worry about.
1:55Just think of me right here next to you.
2:00Think of the softness of the pillows,
2:04the comfort of the blanket,
2:06the warmth.
2:09Everything's going to be all right.
2:12You don't need to think about anything
2:15harmful or scary.
2:19Just think of the nice,
2:21warm, calm serenity of being here with
2:25your partner.
2:27It's going to be all right.
2:34I know I may not be the best at
2:36comforting people, which might just be
2:40my fault, but
2:43I want you to know that I want to try
2:46for you.
2:48I don't want this to be a one-sided
2:51effort thing, and I never want to give
2:53up on you quickly.
2:55I don't want to give up on you at all.
2:59But, you know,
3:01with work and everything,
3:06I know that can cause some nightmares.
3:09I know anything with co-workers or
3:12just random stuff that you're afraid of,
3:15it can creep up on you in dreams,
3:21right? The cruel fate we have that our
3:26fears can haunt us while we're not even
3:29awake.
3:31But in that sense too,
3:35some things that
3:37maybe could never happen or maybe that
3:39you think could never happen can easily
3:42be dreamt of and lived through in
3:44dreams.
3:46That's the more calming aspect of it,
3:48though.
3:51Let's focus on that, huh?
3:53What's the best dream that you had ever?
4:05Are you just saying that cuz I'm with
4:06you now?
4:08Don't tell me you actually had a bunch
4:10of dreams about me.
4:16Well, here's hoping they were all sweet,
4:19huh?
4:24I guess you're right. Upon first
4:27dreaming of me, I guess you could make
4:29me out to be a little more mean than I
4:31actually am.
4:34I don't intend to be rude. It's just how
4:37my voice comes off.
4:42I'm glad you understand that.
4:46But hey, I'm working on it. You know, I
4:51want to be nice to you and I want you to
4:53feel comfortable.
4:55Even if that means I have to go out of
4:58my way sometimes to prove that I'm not
5:01mad at you and that there's nothing
5:03wrong.
5:07So, you want to tell me what it was
5:08about?
5:10Okay.
5:12Take as much time as you need.
5:15You don't need to tell me every detail.
5:17And if it starts upsetting you,
5:21please don't hesitate to stop.
5:25Just cuddle up in my arms and tell me
5:28everything you need to.
5:37Mhm.
5:46Right.
5:54I'm sorry.
5:56It sounds really rough.
6:00I never want you to think that way.
6:02Okay.
6:05I don't want you to be scared that I'm
6:07going to leave you or that anything
6:09bad's going to happen.
6:12I know life is well not set in stone as
6:17they say, but
6:20I hope that the one thing I can promise
6:23you is that I'll do my best to be right
6:27here
6:28every moment I can.
6:34Sh, don't worry.
6:37I know. I know it's hard to believe.
6:41I know sometimes it's much easier to
6:44just convince yourself that everyone's
6:47going to leave eventually
6:49and that these nightmares that keep you
6:52up, they don't matter that much because
6:56they always come back around and you
6:59can't really do much to fix them.
7:02But I think
7:04what I find that helps me the most is
7:07affirming that those fears aren't
7:10controlling,
7:12that they can't beat me, and they don't
7:15need to control me.
7:19When I feel particularly bad about
7:22something at work,
7:24I just
7:26collapse on my bed and I think about it
7:29for a little. But I've learned to let
7:31things go. I'm not really one to hold
7:34grudges.
7:36It just takes too much energy.
7:39But,
7:41you know, a lot of people hold grudges
7:45even when they don't mean to.
7:48They'd prefer to hold on to something,
7:51to let it fester,
7:53or they do it because they don't know
7:56how to let go.
8:05It's okay.
8:08You don't need to know how to do
8:09everything.
8:12Everyone goes through different
8:13experiences,
8:15so it's okay.
8:18Some people are a lot better at just
8:20letting things go.
8:23And while it might seem, I don't know,
8:27emotionally mature of me to let things
8:29go, it's mostly just because I'm too
8:33tired to continue a conflict.
8:36I'd rather just take a friend out to
8:39Boba and paint our nails and hope that
8:44makes everyone feel better.
8:52I know my solutions aren't the best
8:53either.
8:57We all have different ways of dealing
8:59with things.
9:01But no one's solution needs to be the
9:03end all be all. It's just
9:08we need to keep working on ourselves.
9:11that growth doesn't really stop.
9:14Even if we wanted to and even if we feel
9:18super accomplished,
9:20it just doesn't end.
9:22Not in a bad way, though.
9:27Yeah.
9:29I want to keep growing with you, too.
9:32I'm glad we feel mutual about that.
9:39Your hair is really soft.
9:46The shampoo always smells so nice. Can
9:49almost put me to sleep.
9:54You wish it could do the same for you.
9:56Yeah, I wish so, too. But you know, not
10:01everything works for everyone.
10:04Hopefully just sitting here having me
10:07pet your head and laying on my stomach
10:11is helping you.
10:16I know it's a bit of an awkward position
10:18because I can't really fully sit on my
10:22back because of my tail,
10:24but here that's
10:30there.
10:32I'm fully sitting up now. It's a little
10:35less stress on my tail.
10:38Not that weird half side position. Yeah,
10:42just stretch your head on my thighs.
10:44Okay.
10:48It's okay.
10:50It doesn't need to be weird.
10:52I just want to comfort you. You need to
10:56sleep. I know you haven't been getting
10:58very good sleep these past few days. I
11:01just want to help.
11:07Okay, I'm glad you understand.
11:11So, come on, get comfortable, please.
11:20There you go. See? Isn't that much
11:24better?
11:26Now, I'm going to use my Ellen Shark
11:30hypnosis on you.
11:32Mhm. Oh, trust me, it's a completely
11:36real thing. It's worked before. I don't
11:40doubt it would work this time.
11:44So,
11:46I want you to think of us.
11:50We are taking a nice long walk and we go
11:55into the city
11:57and in the city we get ice cream
12:02and then we walk more because well
12:05exercise is great and then we feel it
12:10getting a little hot. So we go sit under
12:13a tree together. We put down a nice
12:17comfortable picnic blanket
12:20and we lay down.
12:24It's soft.
12:26It's warm outside, but there's a cool
12:28breeze.
12:30It's nice and comfortable. Enough to
12:33fall asleep, too. Preferably with not
12:35ice cream in your mouth, but with an
12:39empty mouth full of air.
12:44So, we finished the ice cream
12:48and it's both our favorite flavors with
12:51cherries on top and everything, the
12:54whole shebang.
12:56And then we nap.
13:00We fall asleep under the sky
13:04and we wake up to the sunset
13:07and
13:09dream of that. Or
13:13my more preferable dream,
13:16one day I wake up and the rain is just
13:20candy and you can put the rest together.
13:28Yeah.
13:29Something something cloudy with a chance
13:32of meatballs.
13:34More like cloudy with a chance of candy.
13:37100% chance. Actually, that's what I
13:39dream about. You don't have to, though.
13:42Oh, and the rivers and the ocean would
13:44be full of boba.
13:46Milk tea and boba.
13:50Maybe the fishes
13:53and the sharks,
13:56the coral,
13:58everything is made of tapioca.
14:05Then wouldn't I eat the sea?
14:07I guess I would I would eat the whole
14:11thing
14:13and then the world would have a bunch of
14:15issues, but I'd be happy and I would be
14:19full, so I wouldn't care.
14:29Just keep resting.
14:31It's going to be okay.
14:34Sweet dreams. All right.
14:37I'm getting pretty tired, too.
14:41I'm not mad at you for keeping me up.
14:43Don't apologize.
14:46This was good. I'm glad we got to talk.
14:50Please
14:51just sleep, okay?
14:55Don't worry about me.
14:57I love you.
