0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.

0:21Welcome in.

0:28That was very short.

0:30Did you think it was Thursday?

0:33No.

0:34No, you thought I was given space?

0:35Yeah.

0:37No, it just was what it was, Mike.

0:40You don't feel welcomed?

0:44Oh!

0:46Dude, the people!

0:48I don't want to say nothing, but the people hated it.

0:50They hated it.

0:50They hated it.

0:52I didn't really think it was that bad.

0:54I'm not going to lie.

0:55I didn't think it was that bad either, but the people.

0:56The people.

0:57Oh, man.

0:58They're fickle.

1:00Wednesday, September 23rd.

1:01Welcome into the Fantasy Footballers Podcast.

1:03Jason Moore, Mike Wright, Andy Holloway.

1:06We just had waivers go through in all of our leagues just before the show started.

1:10It's always fun this time of year.

1:12Oh, it did.

1:13Yeah, in the Chop League, Mr. Derek Henry goes to Mike.

1:18Oh, baby!

1:19You got him.

1:20Mike got Derek Henry, and he bid 4.65.

1:23And that was the next highest was 4.51.

1:27Oh, that feels good.

1:28Swish!

1:30Oh, baby!

1:31Yeah, Jeremiah Love went for 3.34.

1:33Quinshawn Judkins went for 156.

1:37Quinshawn Bumpkins.

1:40Mike is celebrating.

1:41Just keep...

1:41I'm on fire.

1:42Give me another name.

1:43No, it doesn't look like that.

1:44Give him another name.

1:46Mike Evans went for 121.

1:48That's a pretty good pickup.

1:50Dude, you asked for an alley-oop, and then you didn't even jump.

1:54What do the people think of that?

1:56Oh, I'll tell you what the people think of that.

1:58Oh, no!

1:59Yeah, they're fickle.

2:01The people, Mike, are fickle.

2:02You did say they were fickle.

2:03Oh, no.

2:04We have news to catch you up on today.

2:06Thursday night breakdown.

2:07We got unsolved mysteries on the show and some mailbags, so we've...

2:11I gotta get Henry in my lineup.

2:12Hold on.

2:13Okay.

2:13All right, I'm good to go.

2:14Would you rather have Henry for 4.65 or...

2:18Or play Bill Krosky again?

2:19Or Jamar Chase for 6.66?

2:23Well, considering my running back two situation...

2:26You just needed it?

2:27...was Bill Krosky.

2:28Okay.

2:29That was it.

Median Scoring Format

2:30All right.

2:31Quick question of the day.

2:32James in North Carolina writes in, what is your league format in the League of Record?

2:36I was listening to the Tuesday show and heard you say that Andy and Mike are 4-0 through

2:42two weeks.

2:43That's right.

2:44Because we work harder than you.

2:46That's right.

2:48Thanks, Mike.

2:49Our League of Record format is...

2:53A couple years ago, we had a vote to add median scoring.

2:56So you play one matchup per week against your head-to-head opponent, but you're also facing

3:03the median score of the league that week.

3:05So you can get up to two wins a week.

3:08This is something I had resisted for many years.

3:10But we have it in...

3:13Once I experienced a year of it, we added it to our dynasty league.

3:16It's just...

3:17We enjoy the median scoring system.

3:20And now when I'm in leagues that don't have it, I'm kind of disappointed.

3:23When you say, oh, after you finally stopped resisting, we added it to the dynasty league.

3:28If you weren't with us several years ago when we did this, what happened was we got Andy

3:33to vote for it and it went through in our league and we tried it.

3:37And then two weeks in to the season, like where you don't usually make in-season changes,

3:44Andy led the charge to switch our dynasty league over to median scoring, which I completely

3:50agree with you, in the leagues that I am in, where I am 1-0 or 0-1 on a week, it's like,

3:56this is stupid.

3:57Well, let me explain a little bit of...

4:00I think I probably have in my head every argument against it possible.

4:06Everything I will see against median scoring.

4:09My arguments used to be about the consequence of the week, right?

4:12Like if you lose to the second highest...

4:15You know, the highest scoring team and you have the second most points, you know, so what?

4:18You know what I mean?

4:19I mean, that's the way it goes.

4:21Them's the breaks.

4:22Be tough.

4:24Battle through it.

4:25If it doesn't go your way, it doesn't matter.

4:26The reason that I got on board wasn't necessarily some fairness argument that like, well, you

4:32know, if you lose tough luck loss, it's more fair to get an extra win.

4:37No.

4:37The reason I got on board right away was the entertainment of it.

4:42It became very fun.

4:43We have games now on Thursday night football and sometimes matchups are nearly settled

4:49on Thursday night.

4:50Last week who I was playing against, they didn't have a shot after Thursday night football because

4:55of Gibbs and Allen and Amon Ra.

4:58It was over.

4:58But week after week after week, it was entertaining to watch all the way through the end of Monday

5:05night because every point scored for every team changes the median score of the league.

5:10You're competing against that number.

5:12It's more drama.

5:13It's more excitement.

5:14It's more fun.

5:15F-U-N.

5:16More fun.

5:17That is the argument for median scoring.

5:18Does it mitigate a bad feeling if you get lost or if you lose to a higher scoring team

5:25and you scored a bunch?

5:26Not really.

5:28I mean, it doesn't change it that much.

5:29Jason was whining all week about barely, you know, losing in Dynasty to the, you know,

5:34he still whined the same amount in Dynasty.

5:37You're darn right I did.

5:38And so.

5:39I scored the second highest in the league.

5:40It didn't nullify.

5:41The median didn't nullify your pain.

5:42No, it did not.

5:43No, it did not nullify the pain.

5:45That sucked.

5:46That still sucked.

5:47Now, but you're also three and one instead of being one and one.

5:51Yeah.

5:51No, it's definitely better.

5:53But it is far more about the fun, the entertainment.

5:56That's why we're playing fantasy football.

5:58There's more to watch, more to pay attention to, more going on Monday.

6:02I pay so much more attention to the rest of the league outside of my matchup.

6:07Before, it was like, how am I doing?

6:09Or maybe how are you two doing?

6:10Like, oh, you're going to win.

6:12You're going to lose.

6:12Now, I care about how's the sixth best team of the week scoring?

6:18Because I would like to score more than them.

6:20Yep.

6:21And if you want to see more details on our League of Record keeper format, the whole league,

6:25we have that on the website.

6:27You can kind of just, if you want to Google that, fantasy footballers, League of Record

6:30keeper format.

6:31It has all of the details on there.

6:34Let's jump into the news because, well, we have some.

NFL News

6:36News and notes from around the league.

6:44All right.

6:45ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Jackson Dart's knee injury worse than initially thought.

6:51Way worse.

6:51He is expected to have season-ending knee surgery.

6:54Ian Rappaport this morning, ACL intact, damage to the PCL, MCL, and meniscus.

7:01His season is done.

7:02Yeah.

7:03Yeah.

7:03It seems like it went from, hey, he avoided something.

7:07Oh, maybe he tried to get back in the game.

7:09It's going to be, you know, not a very big problem to, oh, there's so much damage in that

7:15knee.

7:16It's a pretty big problem.

7:17So, Jameis Winston, Mike, you picked him up in our Dynasty League.

7:22You paid up for him because you needed him.

7:24I ran into a problem of quarterback bye weeks.

7:27Yeah.

7:27So, that's a good add in a Dynasty League.

7:30Mariota as well.

7:31Yeah.

7:31I will say this.

7:32I agree with those that believe this Winston will not be the Winston of old.

7:37I do not think that it is compatible with the philosophy of Harbaugh to turn the ball

7:43over proportional to touchdowns.

7:44That's kind of the Winston experience that we've known to love.

7:47But there's many, and I'm one of them, that does not believe that that will be permitted.

7:53I think the offense will be protective of the football.

7:57I'll say that.

7:58Yeah, I think they're going to try.

7:59Harbaugh's going to try to run the ball, play defense.

8:03Manage the game a little bit.

8:04However, Winston's going to Winston.

8:05I think what we saw this first week was a lot of the Rams' defense.

8:10So, Winston did nothing.

8:11I mean, he really didn't.

8:12He didn't put up any yardage numbers, any points that, you know, you were writing home about.

8:17But a lot of that, I think, was the Rams' defense coming to play.

8:21And they're a very good defense.

8:22They had, you know, they've got shut down corners.

8:25They've got Aaron Donald there.

8:26And then Malik Nabors was a little banged up.

8:29So, I do think it's going to be in between.

8:31It's not going to be 5,000 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions like Jameis of old that we loved.

8:37But I don't think it's going to be some nerfed backup that can't go out there and throw 300 yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions.

8:44They did extend him.

8:46So, like, Harbaugh was a part of this.

8:49He was already there when they gave Jameis Winston the new money.

8:52That's because he hadn't been playing.

8:53So, it's hard.

8:56No one extends Winston after he's been playing.

8:58I agree that John Harbaugh will – he doesn't want the Winston style.

9:04But, I mean, if this team is just going to be like, well, we're going to run and we're going to defense and we're going to stay in the game.

9:11No, you're not.

9:12No, you're not.

9:13You will have to start throwing eventually.

9:16And then we'll see how reckless Jameis can get on Sundays.

9:20I love that it's Winston and Mariota.

9:24Yeah.

9:24The number one and number two pick in whatever year that was.

9:28It's like, hey, it's their time to go again.

9:31Yeah, that's wild.

9:33We did just get word that Michael Penix, not only is he starting on Thursday, but Tua will be the backup on Thursday.

9:39He is good to go against Green Bay.

9:42So, they made the decision not to start Tua.

9:44Right.

9:44They did take Cooper Rush behind the shed.

9:47Okay.

9:48And we will not be seeing him again.

9:50To work on the shed.

9:51Yeah.

9:51Yeah.

9:52No.

9:53Jonathan Brooks on injured reserve.

9:55Out for at least six weeks.

9:57Core muscle repair surgery.

9:59Working out.

10:00Austin Eckler.

10:01I love yesterday's show.

10:03I was like, I'm going to do a study on whether or not people are injury prone.

10:08And then it's like the most injury prone player is like, oh, it turns out this injury is like, eh, it might be okay.

10:14No, you're going to injured reserve.

10:16Six weeks surgery.

10:19Yeah.

10:19Again.

10:19Alec Pierce officially on IR for at least four weeks.

10:23Trying to rehab the heel.

10:24At least.

10:25Before he may need surgery.

10:26Rico Dattel day to day after undergoing tests on his injured toe.

10:32And here we go.

10:34Bears fans.

10:35Tyson Bajant.

10:36He's in the concussion protocol.

10:38If he cannot get through the protocol, which is challenging on one week for anybody.

10:42Well, not only that, he didn't get knocked out of the game.

10:46So like this was after the game.

10:48He clearly went and reported concussion symptoms.

10:51The only good news there, they do play on Monday night.

10:54So it could be Bajant.

10:55It could be Case Keenum.

10:56Dude.

10:57And it's the Eagles.

10:59It.

10:59So that is, I mean, I, I, I would go so far as to say like, I'm, I'm, I'm benching all my Bears receivers.

11:06I.

11:07Pass catchers.

11:07Yeah, I totally get it.

11:08This, the Bears is like, other than injuries.

11:13We come into fantasy football, but there's always debacles where you had something projected one way and it goes completely sideways and you're not even close.

11:21And it's like, it feels like that.

11:24That's what the Bears are right now.

11:26But nothing is, we can't, we can't get a normal Bears game.

11:30Yeah.

11:30The first week was an outlandish, no defense.

11:34The running game took over.

11:35Yeah.

11:35Like Swift and Monunga are just scoring all the time.

11:38Second week was crazy, insane weather.

11:40The end of game losing Caleb Williams, which is usually that last, that last drive or two is where about 50% of his fantasy points comes from.

11:48True.

11:48Um, yeah, I mean, I feel like we're getting bailed out right now of not starting Rome or Luther or Loveland.

11:56It's like, because we're to the backup of the backup, we're like, oh, now we're going to bench him.

12:01You should have been benching him.

12:03The hard part will be Loveland because you're going to have to go into the dumpster and put a name in like Dalton Schultz and be, and put, and do that on a Sunday and, or Monday.

12:16And be like, yep, I, this is, I'm doing this.

12:19I am making this decision to play Dalton Schultz over Colston Loveland.

12:24And how does it feel?

12:26It's, it's probably the right move, but it's going to hurt your heart.

12:32Yeah.

12:32It's not great.

12:33No.

12:34Brandon Cook signed to the practice squad for the 49ers.

12:36You can see him moved up soon with all their injuries.

12:39That makes me a little bit more worried about Mike Evans.

12:43Well, they, they did say, I know they lost, um, they lost Robinson.

12:47It was in the context of losing Robinson that the conversation about adding someone happened.

12:53Um, they said Kirk was too many weeks away.

12:56Christian Kirk, who is on the 49ers in case you're curious, but also injured because he's on the 49ers.

13:02Meowson Taylor week to week with a thumb injury.

13:05We'll miss Sunday's game against the lions.

13:07Most likely a paw injury paw.

13:11Yes.

13:12Yeah.

13:12Yeah.

13:12Yeah.

13:13Okay.

13:13Hey, that's Matt's joke.

13:14Uh, it's all right.

13:16It's okay.

13:17Don't give him credit.

13:18That one was good.

13:19Let's jump into some unsolved mysteries.

Unsolved Mysteries

13:25Unsolved mysteries.

13:31Well, uh, this'll be fun.

13:33We've got two weeks of the NFL season in the books.

13:36Last year on this episode, after two weeks, we were worried about rookie running backs.

13:41We were panicking about Hampton and Trevo.

13:43They were drop candidates in week two.

13:45So that was some of last year.

13:47Uh, we thought the Eagles passing offense was doomed.

13:49Was it?

13:50Uh, kind of Javante Williams had a hot start last year.

13:55We wanted to know if Javante's performances would continue.

13:58And then, uh, apparently Jake London had a slow start.

14:01Yeah.

14:02And we wondered if that, uh, bridge was falling down.

14:06I guess that's how.

14:07I like it.

14:08I guess that's how it was worded.

14:09Yeah.

14:10Uh, right.

14:11So.

14:12London bridge jokes.

14:13Yeah.

14:14Come on.

14:15I'm here for it.

14:16We're better than that.

14:17We're not.

14:18Uh, did Bryce Young level up?

14:20Number one unsolved mystery for the season.

14:24Bryce Young is the quarterback two in fantasy football.

Bryce Young

14:27It wasn't, I mean, we say, okay, he played Atlanta.

14:31That's true.

14:33It wasn't his highest scoring fantasy week.

14:35His highest scoring fantasy week was week one against Chicago where he scored 31 fantasy

14:40points.

14:40It's also where he had 361 passing yards.

14:43So the bigger thing, three touchdowns in each of the last two weeks, only one interception.

14:50So here's is Bryce Young.

14:53Did he level up?

14:54I will say that he, I was purely like from a passing perspective, he was the most impressive

15:01morning quarterback on Sunday.

15:03I will say he looks different.

15:06He looks like he's having fun.

15:08He's, you know, he's, he's doing what he wants out there.

15:11I think the canal system is working.

15:14We, we have been, you know, uh, supporters of canalis and hopeful that Bryce Young can figure

15:21it out through two weeks.

15:23We were losing faith.

15:24He has, yeah, we were through two weeks.

15:26He has looked good.

15:27He has played well, the wide receivers.

15:30He's got a good core.

15:31I mean, you add Darren Waller who obviously is not the Darren Waller of old, but around

15:35the, you know, in the red zone, having that as someone three touchdowns, you know, in two

15:40back-to-back weeks for Bryce Young is great.

15:43Ted Aroa, Coker, and Darren Waller.

15:46That's a really nice trifecta of receivers.

15:49However, I do think like the matchups are pretty darn easy so far.

15:57The Chicago Bears, we left that game going.

15:59Their defense was terrible.

16:01They had some injuries in preseason.

16:03It looked like they were not prepared for it.

16:05Atlanta.

16:06I want to remind you guys.

16:07It wasn't terrible in week.

16:08I mean, Chicago's defense was better in week two.

16:11Sure.

16:11The rain was the 12th man, but last year in Atlanta, Bryce Young was 448 yards and three

16:25touchdowns.

16:27I mean, you would have said he figured it out.

16:30He was unbelievable.

16:31Then he threw 169, 206, 163, 191, 54.

16:38So I am more skeptical that he figured it out.

16:41I'm very hopeful.

16:43I will say he has looked good two games in a row.

16:47He is young enough where we saw this from Trevor Lawrence last year.

16:50Trevor Lawrence was a player who was a disappointment for what he was supposed to be.

16:55A couple years into his career while he's still young, with a good offensive coordinator,

16:59figured it out.

17:00And I think we all would say Trevor Lawrence figured it out.

17:04He's a very good quarterback.

17:06I'm hopeful that's Bryce Young.

17:08But I mean, really, what's their matchup this week?

17:10I don't know Bryce Young's current matchup for this coming week, but that's like...

17:14Cleveland.

17:15Should be fine.

17:16That's a perfect test for him because that is a decent defense.

17:19Should be fine.

17:20Here's what is different, though, is when you think of what the Carolina Panthers have

17:25been the last couple years, it's the Chuba Hubbard year.

17:28It's last year's combo of Chuba and Rico.

17:31This was a run team.

17:34The Carolina Panthers are currently playing the fastest of any team in the NFL.

17:41Their play is at 23 seconds per play.

17:46And they're just like...

17:47So they're getting a whole bunch of extra plays in.

17:49And the Carolina Panthers are number one in neutral pass rate right now.

17:53This is a...

17:54They've turned it over.

17:56They said...

17:58We have Tett McMillan and Jalen Coker, two premier wide receivers.

18:02They're like, let's stop doing this.

18:05Stop doing the run.

18:06And then having Bryce Young have to figure it out.

18:09What if we let Bryce Young be the engine of the team?

18:12And so far through two weeks, not only is it...

18:15We're passing all the time.

18:16They're playing super fast.

18:18So this...

18:18This looks like a...

18:21Looks like something that I would buy into.

18:248.9 yards per attempt, which is blowing away all of his career averages.

18:27That's fantastic.

18:2810.5 yards averaged at the target.

18:30I think the unlock, the health of Jalen Coker has been crucial to this offense for sure.

18:36And to have a red zone threat like Waller, where now your option one down around the goal line might be...

18:42You know, Jason brought him up to involve Waller.

18:45It is something to watch.

18:47It's two weeks, but it is something to watch.

18:49Where do you think from week three through 17, Bryce Young is the quarterback what?

18:5610.

18:57I think 20.

18:58I'm more on Andy's side of like, if this is the new...

19:03If this is the new way that the Carolina Panthers are going to run it, then there will be yards.

19:09Either they go out there and they pass and they succeed, and we're like, fantastic for Bryce Young.

19:14Or he goes out and he fails, and he has to keep passing more.

19:17So I think I'm in.

19:19I think I'm in.

19:20Ugh!

19:21Yeah, I mean...

19:22That's terrifying.

19:23It looks different philosophically.

19:26Yes.

19:26I think that was a good point.

19:27We'll take a break and we'll come back with another Unsolved Mystery.

19:35Today's show is brought to you by our friends at Old Spice with the Old Spice NFL Collection.

20:01Old Spice, they have you covered.

20:03Are you feeling clutch?

20:04Matthew Stafford brings the Cedarwood.

20:06Or channel CeeDee Lamb scoring a winning touchdown with Deep Sea and Dimes.

20:11Look, we have a bunch of this stuff at my house.

20:14I'm not joking.

20:15All of this Old Spice NFL Collection.

20:18I, look, I'm an MVP guy.

20:20I guess I like smelling like Matthew Stafford.

20:22That's Cedarwood.

20:23I put it on.

20:24I put on the deodorant.

20:25And this is true.

20:27Gave the wife a hug goodbye.

20:29And she's like, what's going on?

20:31You smell great.

20:32I was like, that's because I smell like an MVP.

20:34I smell like Matthew Stafford.

20:36Looking for the greatest smell in the NFL?

20:39Go get the entire Old Spice NFL Collection exclusively at Walmart.

20:46All right.

20:47Unsolved mystery number two.

20:48Ironic because last year through two weeks we were bringing up the hot start.

20:51Now it's a slow start.

20:52Javante Williams.

Javonte Williams

20:53Will the slow start continue for Cowboys running back Javante through two weeks?

20:58He's averaging 2.96 yards per carry.

21:02Whoa, he's all the way there?

21:03Yeah.

21:03Yeah.

21:0550% of his yards have gone for two or fewer yards.

21:08Yeah.

21:08That's the ones I've been seeing.

21:10Did I say 50% of his yards?

21:12I did say that.

21:1250% of his runs.

21:1350% of his runs.

21:15He is 42nd out of 43 running backs in terms of first downs.

21:21Two of them on 24 carries.

21:23He has not been the engine, right?

21:25And one might point to an offensive line that is dead last in yards before contact in terms of how they're performing.

21:31That's not good for Javante.

21:32No, because Javante gets what's blocked.

21:35Correct.

21:36And he does it consistently.

21:37Or held.

21:38He had a really nice run last week on a holding penalty that came back.

21:42That's true.

21:43That's true.

21:43A hold or a block.

21:45I mean, who's the same?

21:45I will say this.

21:47Mike and I, over the first two weeks, over and over and over while watching are like, woof.

21:53Yes.

21:53He looks like him.

21:56Sometimes you watch a player and you go, man.

21:57He's been squeezed.

21:58Nothing is happening for this guy.

22:00He can't get any blocking.

22:02He can't get protection.

22:03But whenever we see Javante doing anything, he looks slow.

22:08You know, it's like you say, will this slow start continue?

22:11That is very well worded because it feels like he is carrying extra pounds or something.

22:17He's got a flak jacket on.

22:18I don't know what's going on.

22:20He does not look good.

22:21So I'm all for one, 12 for 41, 12 for 30.

22:24He got saved a little bit in week one because he got into the end zone.

22:27That is what you are hoping to touchdowns week one.

22:30Oh, that's right.

22:30He got a receiving touchdown.

22:31Yeah.

22:32Yeah.

22:32I'm I'm I am very worried from what I have seen.

22:35I love the fact that this is a player playing 71 percent, 80 percent of the snaps for a good

22:41offense.

22:41So I'm not like bailing on a workhorse back for a good offense.

22:46But I am worried about his actual, you know, physical ability.

22:52His, you know, opportunity is greater sign than ability for the running back position

22:56in fantasy football.

22:57And his opportunity is great.

22:59But man, he does not look good.

23:01I might make him a buy low candidate in a week or two when we start to get closer to the

23:07return of Tyler Smith on the offensive line because he's on IR.

23:13He's a pro bowler.

23:15They need him.

23:17But, you know, the thing about Dallas is if the running game is not working, we know

23:21what's going to happen.

23:22They're going to throw the ball.

23:23They're going to chuck it.

23:24And they're going to have success doing that.

23:25Yeah, they're going to do OK.

23:26The next two weeks are very difficult.

23:28They're playing against the Baltimore Ravens and then the Houston Texans.

23:32Oh, that's why you said two weeks?

23:33Yes.

23:33Yeah.

23:33No, it's fair.

23:34I mean, I tend to find myself kind of in in the middle on him, like not quite ready

23:41to like I saw enough over a long period of time last year to where I'm willing to

23:45wait another week or two.

23:46But the Baltimore Houston matchup is a little bit concerning in terms of like, I guess you

23:51just keep starting him.

23:52I think the offensive line injury is a legitimate thought process because this is a player who

24:00gets what is given to him.

24:01He's not going to create on his own at this stage.

24:06But he you know, if if he has holes, if he has places to run and right now he just doesn't.

24:11So do you know the timeline on that injury?

24:14Week five is the earliest he can return.

24:16So that's the that's the targeted return week five.

24:21The and the upside case is just the offense because even even the passing game hasn't

24:25been fully clicking like CeeDee Lamb monster game.

24:29But we need both CeeDee and George to get cooking because that'll turn into a bunch of

24:34touchdown opportunities.

24:35It really does feel like Javante Williams is as good as the amount of pass interference

24:43in the end zone on George Pickens, which is awesome at that.

24:48So good at drawing P.I.

24:51Yeah.

24:51I think George Pickens is near the top of the list of reasons why you want to give like

24:56a point to a receiver.

24:58Yes.

24:59That causes a P.I.

25:01All right, guys, this one's even harder.

Mike McDaniel / Chargers offense

25:03The Mike McDaniel mystery is Mike McDaniel, a good offensive coordinator.

25:08There are two teams.

25:10There are two teams in the history of the world, and you're going to love it, that have

25:13lost back to back home games by double digits against team teams with a sub 200 win percentage

25:19the previous year.

25:20It is the 2026 Los Angeles Chargers in the 1926 racing tornadoes 100 years ago.

25:27And the tornadoes dissolved the very next game.

25:30And they're like, we're out of here.

25:33I think some fans of the Chargers may hope for a dissolving soon.

25:37It has been an utter embarrassment for the Chargers.

25:4226 to 14 both weeks at home against two bad teams.

25:46And then the gauntlet of the schedule coming up.

25:49I mean, how do you evaluate Mike McDaniel at this juncture?

25:53They have another offensive line injury.

25:57You have your best wide receiver by a lot, apparently by a lot injured.

26:03Yes.

26:04Wearing a flak jacket.

26:05And because everybody else that they asked to step up last week either got hurt or dropped

26:10the ball or both.

26:12I remember years ago.

26:13Which is not on Mike McDaniel or Herbert, by the way.

26:15When this guy, Mike McDaniel, was hired kind of surprisingly to be the head coach of the

26:21Miami Dolphins.

26:23We kind of reached out to Juice.

26:26Shout out, Juice.

26:27You're awesome.

26:28Kyle Juszczyk.

26:29Kyle Juszczyk.

26:30And asked, like, is this guy the real deal?

26:33And he said some really good things about Mike McDaniel.

26:36That he's very good, very creative, very smart.

26:41And he was.

26:42He had a lot of success.

26:43I will say that.

26:44The Dolphins, just a reminder.

26:46The Dolphins, which are now going to be the worst team in the NFL, they were 7-10 in the

26:52AFC East last year.

26:56It's weird, man.

26:57When we watched the first quarter and a half of week one, the Chargers offense seemed fine.

27:03Lad McConkie gets injured and they couldn't do anything.

27:09The plays where Lad was in last week looked okay.

27:13I just don't know if Lad is gone.

27:15I don't know if they have the weapons to move.

27:19I was going to say, is it a personnel issue?

27:21The thing that I would push back on is that Kyle Shanahan has been dealt impossible hands

27:28with impossible depth problems and injuries.

27:31Quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, everybody.

27:33Countless years.

27:34And then you go out there and the offense looks the same the next week.

27:37It's Juwan Jennings.

27:39Sometimes.

27:39Or it's Kendrick Bourne.

27:40Or it's Tonson basketball.

27:41The 49ers have down years.

27:43Yeah, the 49ers.

27:44Not many.

27:45No, but when they're down, they're like the.

27:47I know.

27:47We talked about it, but we thought it'd be worse this year.

27:52And they look like a machine, even with the injuries.

27:54I'm just saying, like, I think that the personnel, they've put together enough players in Los Angeles

28:01for the offense to be.

28:03Like, you already blamed Greg Roman once.

28:05And you supposedly came back and fixed all these issues.

28:09I hear what you're saying.

28:11It's Harbaugh's fault.

28:13Perfect.

28:13Perfect.

28:14I think it's a combination of factors.

28:18I think they have had very poor performances from their players that are independent of Mike McDaniel and Herbert.

28:24Drops.

28:25They've been nasty.

28:26Drops that turn into interceptions, like where you hit a wide receiver in the hand and he's like,

28:32oh, let me give it to the defense.

28:34But I mean, 30th in EPA per play.

28:3630th in percentage of drives resulting in a score.

28:3831st in turnover differential.

28:39Are they pressing easy buttons?

28:43I don't know.

28:44I haven't seen it yet.

28:46There's no way we can have an unsolved mystery here and come in here and say something positive

28:50about what the offense has done yet.

28:52Correct.

28:53It's just, can you go out and perform?

28:55And when you look at the schedule, it's a really tough, like, I am not afraid to play defenses

29:00against the Chargers right now.

29:02Right.

29:02Like, the matchups that are coming up, like, I used to be scared of them.

29:05And I feel like there's going to be a stress and a strain that just increases with every

29:11loss.

29:12Like, are they going to win in Buffalo this week?

29:13No.

29:14I mean, that would be Chargers-like for that game to be close.

29:17That would be the most Chargers thing ever.

29:19I mean, the line's only seven.

29:21That's a pretty big line.

29:22Yeah, that's a pretty big line.

29:24I mean, when you're in Buffalo and they're 2-0, I just think that's a low line.

29:29I think I'm taking Buffalo.

29:30I'm taking Buffalo for sure.

29:31What, to win?

29:32To cover the spread.

29:33Yeah, I mean, I think that that is, I think that I would definitely take Buffalo to cover

29:39the spread based on what I've seen of the Chargers.

29:41I'm just saying that I'm surprised a little bit that that's not 10-1.

29:44Yeah, I do think Mike McDaniel is good.

29:48He couldn't have done what he did with the Dolphins with Tua, who was not a good quarterback.

29:55Don't things wear off, though?

29:56Yeah, I mean, certainly.

29:57Don't you do cool stuff?

29:58I mean, that would happen in Miami.

29:59In Miami, they'd be the leading team.

30:03Like, Tua would lead the league in passing yards through four weeks, and then the offense

30:08would start to get into a funk and decline.

30:10That happened multiple years.

30:11Yeah, I mean, he did lead the league in yardage for an entire season.

30:17Tua did.

30:18That was the Tyreek debut year.

30:20Yeah, I mean, it's very nice to have Tyreek and Jalen Waddell out there, which is why

30:25I think they need Ladd McConkie.

30:27They need their number one wide receiver.

30:29If he's gone, it's really tough.

30:31We haven't really, I mean, was Mike McDaniel, was he the OC for the 49ers when he was, you

30:38know, before the Dolphins?

30:40Because obviously, as a head coach, he was in charge of all of the offense for the Dolphins.

30:45He was the OC in 2021 before he became the head coach of the Dolphins.

30:48I think Mike McDaniel is still a good offensive mind.

30:55Man, it feels so hard to be supportive to the Chargers.

31:00Do they bounce back?

31:01I mean, you have to say, if you believe that, you have to believe they'll bounce back.

31:04I think the offense bounces forward, certainly.

31:07Like, I just don't know if it's enough.

31:10Bounces forward?

31:11Is that the opposite of bouncing back?

31:14Don't start this.

31:16Bounce back means that you return.

31:18But what are they returning to?

31:20They were never really great.

31:23Not under McDaniel.

31:25But I don't know if you're bouncing forward, Jay.

31:27I think they will get better, is what I'm saying.

31:29That's fine.

31:31I don't know if it happens.

31:33Because I don't think they have enough of the pieces in place.

31:38He may not have the one particular guy he needs.

31:42You lost two big tight ends.

31:44Tyreek Hill.

31:44Yeah, Tyreek Hill.

31:45Yeah, I mean, Tyreek Hill was a cheat code that year.

31:48Yes, for two years.

31:51Yeah.

31:52All right, let's talk Thursday night.

TNF Breakdown: Falcons at Packers

31:58Thursday night breakdown.

31:59The only way you can upgrade a, you know, Buffalo-Detroit Thursday night is to get yourself some Atlanta Green Bay.

32:09Nice.

32:11Atlanta 0-2 taking on the Green Bay Packers, who are 1-1.

32:15Vegas line, Green Bay minus 5.5 over under 43.5.

32:19It's at Lambeau Field, and we have not seen many quarters of impressive offensive football from these two franchises.

32:28Zero for the Falcons.

32:30At least one good one for the Packers.

32:33Quarter?

32:34Yeah.

32:34In two games?

32:35Yeah.

32:35Yeah.

32:36They had a good first half against Minnesota.

32:38I said at least one.

32:39It could be two.

32:41I'll give them two.

32:41The Falcons are the fourth team since 1978 to go their first two games without a play in the red zone.

32:47So, when you look at the fantasy output of B. Sean Robinson and recognize that they have run zero plays in the red zone, like, it's pretty much as bad as it could be on offense, and he's still going to catch a lot of checkdowns and things of that nature.

33:03Green Bay, they've been pass heavy so far.

33:05The running game has been a mixture of Marshawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks and Caleb Johnson, and that mixture has resulted in inefficiencies, I think, on the offensive side of the football.

33:17Yeah.

33:18Yeah.

33:20What do we think happens with the running backs?

33:22I think you're going to see Caleb Johnson get more looks.

33:25Get more run.

33:26Because he had, he fumbled, right?

33:29Am I remembering that?

33:29Yeah, so did Marshawn Lloyd.

33:31Yeah, but.

33:32Caleb got it back.

33:33They got it back, and then I think Marshawn, they lost it.

33:35And Lloyd had the nice receiving touchdown.

33:37I mean, Chris Brooks has been on the season.

33:44He has the snaps.

33:45Yeah, he's four for 11 last game.

33:47Yeah, he has not been good.

33:48I mean, honestly.

33:49He takes the most snaps because they trust him, I think, in some passing blocking situations.

33:54When watching, and I know it's difficult for me to be the one to say it, but genuinely when watching the game, Caleb Johnson looks like an explosive athlete.

34:03The other two do not.

34:05We were watching, the three of us together in the studio, and I didn't even know who it was.

34:11Some back just got the ball and looked good for the first time in forever for the Packers.

34:16I was like, oh, dude, there you go.

34:18There's some juice.

34:18And then it was like, that was Caleb Johnson's first touch.

34:21It was like, give him the ball.

34:22I hope he is more involved.

34:24I still do believe very much that what has been proven is that this team needs Josh Jacobs.

34:30Well, they also need a healthy Tucker Craft, and his snap count jumping up from 50-something percent to 98 percent is a big deal.

34:40I think the Tucker Craft breakout will be coming.

34:43They paid him the top-tier tight end money, but last week the weather was rough, right?

34:51I mean, wasn't that another one of the weather games?

34:53Yes, it was.

34:53Against New York, and you did not get the performance.

34:56But I do think that unlocking, you know, they lost Jaden Reed.

35:00He's going to be out.

35:01Golden and Watson, I don't feel like they have a possession receiver right now.

35:08Yeah.

35:08Like, that's not how it feels.

35:09No, because that's not Watson and Golden.

35:11Yeah, Watson's not going to go give you 11 catches.

35:13Like, you need Tucker Craft to get the offense going, and they need to start drawing up plays for him.

35:18Did you see the report?

35:20This is from Graziano.

35:22It said the Packers talked about using Tucker Craft at one of the offensive line positions at one point during week two after four offensive linemen left Sunday's game due to injury.

35:31So, yeah, that's been a massive issue.

35:33They lost what?

35:35They put one of them on their offensive tackle on IR.

35:39Zach Bacobiele?

35:42Oh, gosh.

35:44I shouldn't have tried that.

35:45Should have stuck with offensive linemen.

35:47You should have gone ZBB.

35:49I'm sure that, let me throw it over to the deucers because the Packer fan over there knows his name.

35:53What's his name again?

35:54Zach Bacobiele.

35:55Okay.

35:55You got the thing.

35:56I look dumb right there.

35:57Okay.

35:58I don't think so.

35:59Block by James.

36:00I think Owl looked good.

36:02Okay.

36:03That was really impressive.

36:04Thank you.

36:04I have no idea if it was right.

36:05Oh, you dirty dog.

36:07You said it was such confidence.

36:09You can't reveal that.

36:10That was so confident.

36:11No one would have ever known other than his mom.

36:14Wow.

36:14No, you're probably right.

36:16Honestly, he hears that.

36:18He's like, that is how it's said.

36:20Okay.

36:21So.

36:21It's Bacalava.

36:23We start Christian Watson.

36:24Delicious.

36:24We start Matthew Golden.

36:25You starting Tucker Craft?

36:27Yes.

36:27With 98% of snaps?

36:28Yes.

36:29Are you starting any of the running backs?

36:31No.

36:31In this Thursday night game?

36:31I don't think you can.

36:33And Jordan Love?

36:34Would you start Jordan Love or like Jared Goff this week?

36:38Jared Goff.

36:39How about Tyler Shuck?

36:42Or Jordan Love?

36:43Shuck.

36:44What about Drake May?

36:45Oh, no.

36:46I think you might have found it.

36:47Yeah.

36:49Yoinks.

36:50Drake London, first week with a non-Cooper Rush quarterback.

36:54Are you just starting him?

36:55100%.

36:56Kyle Pitts?

36:58Not quite as much.

36:59What were we going to say about London?

37:00So with London, if you look at the games where he played with Michael Penix last year,

37:05we have proof of this.

37:07He was on pace for 180 targets.

37:09That's a lot.

37:09He was the wide receiver five.

37:11He was the wide receiver one.

37:12He was the wide receiver one on a week.

37:14Like he had massive performance with Michael Penix.

37:18You also had Bijan on pace for over 100 targets.

37:21So the consolidation there, the ability to get these two stars the ball, not necessarily

37:27in great conditions.

37:29They're not going to be just destroying the field for yards after the catch because they're

37:34getting it from Michael Penix.

37:36But he can get the ball to them.

37:39You have seen, we have enough evidence of great fantasy output from both Drake London

37:45and Bijan with Michael Penix in there.

37:46So I believe that like London should be a start of the week because people might be very afraid

37:53to play London and you should not be.

37:57He should be in every single lineup.

38:00Play Bijan, play London, log out.

38:03Are you moving away from Pitts?

38:05I'm not necessarily moving away from him.

38:07He's, I mean, at the tight end position.

38:10Kyle Pitts or Colston Loveland with.

38:13Oh, Pitts.

38:14Oh, oh.

38:17I don't know how you start Loveland right now.

38:19He's got one catch and he's got the third string quarterback.

38:22Pitts, I think, is somebody that we just haven't been able.

38:24It's like London.

38:25You just haven't been able to see what the offense can do.

38:27Now, going to Lambeau on Thursday Night Football for the first start since an injury,

38:31I wouldn't be dialing up a big game from these guys personally.

38:35We'll see.

38:37We'll see what happens.

38:38Yeah.

38:38And we'll also see what happens in pre-game warmups.

38:43We'll see which quarterback decides that they don't want to play.

38:46Oh, that decides that they're hurt.

38:48We'll take a break.

38:49We'll jump into some mailbag.

38:50This episode is brought to you by our friends at PrizePix.

40:49Okay.

40:49Yeah.

40:50The people hate it.

40:51People hate what you do there.

40:54No flourish?

40:56No flourish?

41:01Yeah, you could have.

41:04See?

41:04Proved it.

41:05If you have a question, go to the website, thefantasyfootballers.com.

Is Patrick Mahomes back?

41:08Click that Submit a Question button or dial our voicemail hotline 302464-TFFB.

41:12We'll start off with a voicemail.

41:15Hey, this is Brian in Minneapolis, St. Paul.

41:18And I just have a quick one.

41:20Is Patrick Mahomes back?

41:22What are your thoughts?

41:25It looks like it.

41:27And you want to know the difference?

41:30Matt freaking nagging.

41:32He's gone.

41:32Like, I mean, you know, this was like we talked about this with Rushy Rice and the fact that

41:39he's not being utilized the way he was the last couple of years, which the way he was utilized

41:44was really good for him for fantasy football.

41:46It was not good for the Chiefs.

41:47It was not like a very good, you know, EPA play.

41:52And now all of a sudden, the Chiefs' offense looks much better.

41:55They've got Biennemi back.

41:57It's, eh.

41:59I mean, Indy's defense is not that great.

42:02We all know what happened to the Chiefs, Jason.

42:05Hit the button.

42:05Oh, yeah.

42:06Oh, do I got it?

42:07They entered the bone zone.

42:09Ken Bone Walker.

42:10Yeah.

42:10Oh, just that one, huh?

42:11No, like, Ken Walker on the Chiefs.

42:14It's not inside the 20.

42:17That is the bone zone.

42:18It is the field.

42:20Yeah.

42:20Well, listen.

42:21Once he's on, he's in the zone.

42:22Here's what makes Patrick Mahomes dangerous.

42:24And if you want to argue for him being back, he's only going to get stronger as the year

42:28goes on in terms of being able to pick his spots when running the football and being

42:32confident on the leg.

42:33Him running is, like, shocking.

42:35But the thing that makes Patrick Mahomes exceptionally dangerous and this team dangerous offensively

42:41is Ken Walker.

42:42Not because of Walker's production, but because of the fact that now you have play action and

42:47you have a defense that has to account for, you know, one of the best backs in the game,

42:52a tackle breaking.

42:53You know, you have to gang tackle this guy.

42:55You have to keep people down on the line of scrimmage.

42:58And, like, it's not like we're hyper impressed with any of the targets that Mahomes has.

43:04Kelsey's look pretty good.

43:05Yeah, well, Kelsey's look good, but I'm saying, like, we don't have, there's not the big name

43:08out there, right?

43:08This is Tyquan Thornton.

43:10This is, you know, not players that you're individually starting.

43:15Rashi Rice has not been wildly productive, but it's because of the fact he can spread

43:19the ball around and they can play action pass and pick the spots and take deep shots

43:23because they have accountability.

43:24Around the goal line, what I've seen through two weeks is what we, like, if we think about,

43:31like, the last decade and what we think of Chiefs and Mahomes and the fantasy outpouring,

43:36it's like, it's back.

43:37It's creative.

43:38There was a play where it was like, you know, they rolled out on play action, which you have

43:43to play the play action on Kenneth Walker.

43:45He rolls out to the right and he can run it in or there's Rashi Rice or Xavier Worthy

43:51or Travis Kelsey and two defenders.

43:54And it's like, they did a great job covering some of the options, but the designs were so good.

43:59It was just easy, so easy for Mahomes to, he could have just picked whatever he wanted,

44:05whoever was open, throw the touchdown to him.

44:07I mean, he's got three touchdowns through two weeks.

44:08And I think, I think Mahomes for fantasy purposes, when he's around the goal line,

44:13it's kind of like how Jalen Hurts has the tush push.

44:17He gets kind of free touchdowns.

44:20The tap pass for Mahomes and the designs around the goal line, I think he's going to have a ton

44:25of touchdowns.

44:26I believe he's back for fantasy.

44:28Well, let me ask you the same question.

44:30What, six touchdowns?

44:32Yes.

44:32You said three.

44:33Well, I meant three each week.

44:34Oh, okay.

44:34Yeah, three week one, one rushing, two passing, and three passing touchdowns week two.

44:40Same question as Bryce Young.

44:41From week three on, Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback what?

44:45Five.

44:46Oh, gosh.

44:47That is hyper bullish for a guy that's been way outside of that for the past few years.

44:52I would put him.

44:53He was the quarterback 11 the last two years.

44:55Would you rather have Bryce Young every week or Patrick Mahomes every week?

44:58Mahomes.

44:58Easy Mahomes for me.

44:59I think maybe eight or nine is where I would put him.

45:02Look, not every game is going to be 47 pass attempts, and that's what we got in week two

45:06because Indianapolis kept up.

45:08Right?

45:08Yeah.

45:08I mean, Miami this week, you better get it early because if they're out ahead of this

45:13thing, you're not going to need to throw the ball 47 times.

45:15Well, he only threw the ball 27 times in week one, but he's still around the goal line,

45:20got the touchdowns.

45:21Yeah, 184 yards passing.

45:23But over 20 fantasy points was a great week.

45:26I would feel far more confident with Mahomes returning.

45:30I mean, we've kind of just waited years of like, what is going on?

45:35Why?

45:36What happened?

45:37Like, Mahomes, it still looks like he's a great player.

45:42I'm Matt Nagy, and I mean, maybe we're oversimplifying things, but the Kenneth Walker addition is

45:50just so outrageous.

45:51So if you have to say yes or no, what is your answer?

45:53Jason said yes.

45:55What's my question?

45:57Is Patrick Mahomes back?

45:58Oh, I would say yes.

45:59All right.

46:00I would say no.

Javonte Williams or Jeremiyah Love?

46:01Lane in Idaho.

46:02Hey, guys, I've got a tough one for you.

46:04Would you rather have Javante Williams or Jeremiah Love for the rest of the season?

46:08Oh.

46:09I would probably take my shot on Jeremiah Love in that situation.

46:12Interesting.

46:14So this is literally, this is talent versus opportunity.

46:19Javante, like the contract of Javante, the fact that Malik Davis, who was being prepped

46:25to be the RB2, got hurt right before the season started.

46:28It's Javante's backfield.

46:32So you, then how do we feel about, does Jeremiah Love actually take over for the Cardinals?

46:38He'll get more and more work as the season goes along.

46:40That is just for sure.

46:43I mean, that happens for all of these rookie running backs.

46:45So dumb.

46:46Especially for...

46:47It happens for rookie running backs.

46:48Not for the, what, number three overall pick?

46:50Yeah.

46:50Well, he could be coming back from the ankle still.

46:52Yeah.

46:53Absolutely.

46:53Okay.

46:53That's a fair point.

46:55This is an easy Jeremiah Love for me.

46:58If I could trade Javante, if I have him in any league, I would go and offer him for Love

47:02right now.

47:02And I would expect you're going to get that turned down.

47:05Yep.

47:05But it's definitely Love.

47:08I was just looking at, I was so curious about the Matt Nagy years.

47:12Here's Mahomes fantasy finish.

47:15I know there's a lot more.

47:16There's Tyreek in here.

47:18But Mahomes is like, the quarterback won four, four, one.

47:23Gets Matt Nagy.

47:24Eight, 11, 11.

47:26Matt Nagy's gone.

47:27How many Super Bowls did they win in those years?

47:29Oh, that's fine.

47:30I mean, I don't give a crap about that.

47:33Yeah, we're not the Super Bowl lures.

47:35Well, yeah, I mean, it's.

47:38No, I get it.

47:39For fantasy purposes, I understand it.

47:41But winning, like, Matt Nagy should get credit for that part of the equation.

47:45Right.

47:45But now they'll probably win with a lot of points.

Bench Burrow for Shough?

47:49Yeah, they were winning before Matt Nagy.

47:51With a lot of points.

47:53It's awesome.

47:54All right.

47:54Another voicemail question.

47:56Hi, this is Courtney from Wisconsin.

47:59I was calling to see if you think I should bench Burrow for Shucks,

48:04considering he has now outperformed and scored him two weeks in a row.

48:09Thanks.

48:10Oh, man.

48:11Shuck versus Burrow this week.

48:13So, Shuck gets the Las Vegas Raiders.

48:15Joe Burrow plays the Pittsburgh Steelers.

48:17Pittsburgh's been one of the best defenses so far in the league.

48:20And, I mean, those AFC North matchups.

48:23They can get dirty.

48:24I have.

48:25But I think the Raiders defense is outstanding.

48:29They're the number one defense, by the way, fantasy-wise.

48:32The Raiders?

48:33Yeah.

48:34So, I mean, they're two weeks.

48:36So, I don't think either one is a cupcake.

48:38I like the fact that Shuck's at home.

48:40I think in Pittsburgh is a challenge.

48:43I lean the Shuck side.

48:45Man, that's so crazy.

48:47But I think if you didn't give me the matchups,

48:48I'd say just stick with Burrow for more time.

48:52But I lean Shuck this week.

48:53I agree exactly what you're saying.

48:58Obviously, Burrow is better than Shuck.

49:00The rest of the season, I would much rather have Burrow.

49:02If you're playing matchups this week,

49:04I think you stay in the flames with Shuck,

49:06leading the league in passing volume.

49:08The last time I think we saw Joe Burrow in Pittsburgh,

49:12he was the quarterback 18 through a touchdown.

49:16Tyler Shuck is dominating every single start-sit question on our website.

49:20For a good reason.

49:21The start-sit tool, Tyler Shuck or Bryce Young?

49:23Tyler Shuck or Jared Goff?

49:24Tyler Shuck or Joe Burrow?

49:25Tyler Shuck or Drake May?

49:26Tyler Shuck or Jordan Love?

49:28Because you want to know whether you should stay in the flames or not.

49:31And, you know, it's been good for Tyler Shuck.

49:39The Baltimore game wasn't some, like, wild –

49:42I guess he had the rushing touchdown.

49:43Yes.

49:44Which was –

49:44He had the rushing touchdown.

49:45At the very end.

49:46Yeah, I mean, I was going to say, it's been 23, 22 points.

49:51Would you play Tyler Shuck or Bryce Young right now?

49:55I mean, Bryce Young has scored more in both weeks.

50:01It's Cleveland.

50:02Man.

50:03I probably would play Bryce Young this week.

50:06I told you I'm worried about Calvin Banks being out,

50:09combined with Max Crosby this week.

50:11No, I don't blame you.

50:12So, I –

50:12It's –

50:13I mean, it's –

50:15If Tyler Shuck went out there and it wasn't quite as strong this week,

50:18I would not be shocked.

50:18Okay.

50:19So, based on what you're saying, what we just said,

50:22and I don't know if we're going to scrub the tape after this ever makes the podcast.

50:25We can do that.

50:26We have the ability.

50:27Yeah, we can –

50:28Who knows if we're even recording?

50:29What was just said was the order of starts should go –

50:34Oh, gosh.

50:35Bryce Young.

50:35Oh, gosh.

50:36Bryce Young.

50:37Oh, man.

50:38Yeah.

50:38Tyler Shuck, Joe Burrow.

50:42Disgusting.

50:43Yeah.

50:43I think we –

50:44Do you have the intestinal fortitude for that?

50:46Make a note right now of this moment.

50:49Clip it.

50:50And I want to come back next week and see if we were right or wrong with the final results.

50:55But, yes, that is my final answer.

50:57Also, if we're wrong, please do not bring it up.

50:58Yeah.

50:59Well, I don't know about this we stuff.

51:01Yeah.

51:01Okay.

51:02Bryce Young over Joe Burrow.

51:03Oh, gosh.

51:04I said that.

51:04You did.

51:05And you know what?

51:06If you're right,

51:06all the glory goes to you and you alone.

51:11Yeah.

51:11You're doing a high dot.

51:12I'm happy to do it for you.

51:13I want to say one more thing about Bryce Young.

51:16There is a chance that we have the magical equation in place with Carolina's defense not

51:24being good enough on a regular basis.

51:26Like, part of what we want to see –

51:28I might have said places, right?

51:29No, you just went southern for a little bit there.

51:31But places.

51:32I do declare that.

51:35I do declare that.

51:36Bryce Young's defense is not very good.

51:39But the Panthers' offense, it's magical.

51:44Like, you play fast, you throw more than you're supposed to, and your defense is not that great.

51:49Cincinnati's defense has looked vastly improved.

51:51Yes.

51:52The Saints have a good defense as well.

51:54Their defense is much better than Carolina's.

51:57Because through two weeks, like, do we think that Deshaun Watson can get some stuff done

52:02against Carolina this week?

52:03Probably.

52:04They can probably move the football against Carolina.

52:08So, from a game script perspective, the way that Cincinnati's defense has been playing

52:11and Pittsburgh's defense, what's the over-under of that game?

52:14I mean, that game's got to be like 40 points.

52:16That is –

52:1740 and a half points, I bet.

52:19That's my guess.

52:19I don't know.

52:20Which game –

52:20Cincinnati, Pittsburgh.

52:22In Pittsburgh.

52:23We got –

52:25And that's the –

52:2542 and a half, I'm seeing.

52:27Yeah, I mean, that's – and what's the over-under in the Carolina game?

52:3042 and a half.

52:31Son of a gun.

52:32But here, here's what I'll say.

52:34Son of a gun.

52:36Carolina, it's harder to buy in because we have – the track record is –

52:42Oh, when I tried to persuade anybody to believe in Bryce Young for this year, it was like zero chance.

52:48Yes, the track record –

52:50Which I think might still be the position.

52:51The track record is not just –

52:52Why is he called the Sandman in our –

52:54Because he puts you to sleep because he's so boring.

52:56You can –

52:57The Sandman?

52:58That was a throwaway from years ago.

52:59Oh, I don't remember anything about that.

53:00Who is?

53:01Bryce Young.

53:02On our site, it says he's the Sandman.

53:03Wow.

53:04I don't remember that.

53:05Delete it, Jason.

53:06I will delete that.

53:07You can take that out.

53:07So long as I can add Meowvin Harrison.

53:10Yes, please make that happen.

53:12Deal?

53:12One moment, please.

53:14Can I get the –

53:15The computer?

53:17Computer.

53:17That's the fire!

53:18No.

53:19What are you –

53:20What did you just do?

53:20What in God's name are you doing?

53:22I just tried to switch the page and hit the wrong one.

53:24Oh, okay.

53:24Okay.

53:24That wasn't like you thinking you were making an editorial change?

53:27Not at all.

53:27A decision?

53:28Okay.

53:28Well, the computer confirmed it.

53:29So Meowson Harrison Jr. is there and there is no more Mr. Sandman.

53:35Let me get through this.

53:37Because the track record is not just non-existence where you're like –

53:41Like with Tyler Shuck, you're like, he could be great.

53:43We just don't – he could be a boat.

53:45We don't know yet.

53:47Bryce Young's track record, awful.

53:48Awful.

53:49Awful.

53:50So this would be even more surprising.

53:52But this was the storm that made the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys the best for fantasy football last year.

54:02High-powered, potent offense that has to throw all the time because their defense stinks.

54:07And if they really are going to trust Bryce Young –

54:10We all believe in Ted Arroa and McMillan.

54:12I didn't like him in the draft because I –

54:14I'm like, if Bryce Young's only going to throw for 200 yards a game –

54:17Yep, that was your argument.

54:18Then you're drafting him at his ceiling.

54:19I did not see this as a potential outcome for the Panthers.

54:24But maybe you want to, like, at least take some –

54:27Put a couple chips into this and see what happens.

54:29I mean, right now, Atlanta's not winning this division.

54:32Correct.

54:32No way.

54:33The Saints are going to win the division.

54:35Tampa doesn't look like it.

54:36Tampa sucks right now.

54:37I would still take the Saints to win.

54:39But those are the two teams.

54:39But fantasy purposes, we might have –

54:43That's what I'm saying.

54:45We might have some George Clooney, Marky Mark happening right now.

54:47This could be a perfect storm.

54:49Yeah.

54:49Could be.

54:50Yeah, the movie's okay.

54:51So, what does this mean for Hubbard?

54:54Is Hubbard someone that you should be trading for?

54:57Well, especially with – well, I don't know that you can now with Brooks out.

54:59He's going to catch the football.

55:01You can trade for Hubbard.

55:03I promise it's not untouchable.

55:05Yeah.

55:05No, but –

55:06Would you trade Javante Williams for Trubba Hubbard?

55:08Yes.

55:09Oh, my gosh.

55:11Yeah, I think I would.

55:12Would I trade Javante?

55:13I don't know if I'd do that.

55:15I don't know if I'd have the guts.

55:17That's – I mean, that one is like – I don't think I would do it,

55:20but I can easily see the path for Hubbard being better.

55:23Maybe you could get –

55:24He who dares wins, man.

55:25Hubbard plus.

55:25Isn't this guy back behind him right now?

55:28Yes.

55:31Yeah, and –

55:33Would you rather have Chuba rest of season or Travion rest of season, Jason?

55:36Travion.

55:38He said that very definitively.

55:40I still think Travion's going to be very good.

55:42He can whiff on a bunch of pass plays.

55:44He can run for two yards a carry on 80% of his carries,

55:48and I think he has a fine fantasy season because he's going to break long.

55:51How is he at the podium?

55:53Not there.

55:55He wasn't really paying attention.

55:57I don't know if he wasn't paying attention or he just didn't understand.

56:00I don't think he understood the question.

56:03Yeah.

56:04If you don't know what we're talking about, he had a moment –

56:06Travion Henderson had a moment at a press conference where he was asked about like –

56:11it doesn't matter what he was asked about.

56:12He had no idea what was happening.

56:14He asked the guy like four times and was basically like, I don't know what you're saying.

56:20It was a dumb question.

56:21It was a dumb question.

56:23It was a dumber answer.

56:24I think, yeah, those will be some interesting guys over the back half of the season.

56:29So, A.J. Dillon, to answer your question, negative rushing yards last week.
