Welcome Back and Introduction

0:02[music]

0:05>> Father Rupnik.

0:06>> Sean, it's good to see you again.

0:08>> It's good to be here.

0:09>> Welcome to our place.

0:10>> It's beautiful here. I would love to get

0:13a tour here.

0:14>> Oh, absolutely. After afterwards, we'll

0:16we'll do it.

0:17>> Perfect.

0:18Well,

0:19like I said, it's it's great to see you

0:21again and I've had a great couple of

0:23days here. Got some heavy work done.

0:26And

0:27so,

0:29we've got a lot to talk about. I've been

0:30highlighting a lot of evil the past

0:33couple years and I haven't talked much

0:35about the good side.

0:37>> Right.

0:38>> And so, I fully intend to do that today,

0:40but

0:42before we get started,

0:43>> [clears throat]

0:44>> everybody gets a gift.

0:46>> Oh, oh, that's right. Yeah.

0:54>> So,

0:55>> That's awesome.

0:56>> This is the

0:58Sig MCX Spear

1:00556 model with a Sig Sauer suppressor on

1:04it. It's got Sig optics, Sig magnifier.

1:07And since you're out here in

1:10Colorado out on

1:11some serious acreage, I thought you

1:13know,

1:15it would make a great gift.

1:16>> Thank you very much. We'll have to test

1:18it out later this afternoon.

1:20>> We'll

1:20>> We'll definitely do that.

1:22>> Thank you very much. Your last gift was

1:24well received. Let's just put it that

1:26way.

1:26>> Well, my friend Jason over at Sig is a

1:28huge fan of you as well and uh he wanted

1:30me to give that to you. So,

1:32There you go.

1:33>> Thank you very much.

1:37>> [clears throat]

1:38>> So, before we get started, if you don't

1:39mind, could you please lead us in

1:41prayer?

1:41>> Sure.

1:43In the name of the Father and of the Son

1:44and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Direct, O

1:46Lord, all our actions by thy holy

1:48inspirations and carry them on by thy

1:50gracious assistance. So, that every

1:52prayer and work of ours may begin from

1:53thee and by thee be happily through

1:55Christ our Lord.

1:56>> Amen.

1:57>> Amen. [clears throat]

1:57>> In the name of the Father, Son, Holy

1:58Spirit. Amen.

2:00So, I'm going to be honest. I actually

2:03came here originally, my plan was a

2:05completely different agenda.

2:07And I came here to attempt to

2:13disarray and destroy

2:16two politicians within the current

2:18administration that I think are going to

2:20over exaggerate their

2:22allegiance to the Catholic Church to try

2:24to sway the Catholic

2:25>> vote.

2:25>> Right.

2:26>> And

2:29I'm not going to do that.

2:30>> Mhm.

2:32>> The last couple weeks I've just realized

2:34that

2:36the battle maybe isn't over the country,

2:38not even over the world. It's over our

2:40souls and over our mind.

2:42>> That's right.

2:43>> And I don't think it matters who walks

2:45into that office. It is going to be

2:48somebody under heavy diabolical

2:51influence.

2:52>> That's right.

2:53>> Maybe even straight Satanism.

2:55>> Right.

2:55>> And I think what we're saying today is

2:59human sacrifice.

3:01>> Mhm.

3:01>> I don't think it matters what side gets

3:03in there. They're either going to send

3:06our youth to war to die for another

3:09country or they're going to

3:11psychologically mutilate their brains

3:13and convince them to mutilate their

3:15bodies and dismember themselves. And I

3:17think that it all goes down to human

3:20sacrifice.

3:21>> Yeah.

3:23>> Do you believe that?

3:24>> Uh I do. I think for some time uh this

3:28was about 10 years ago. I made an

3:31observation in a public conference

3:33that this is no longer a battle of

3:35ideas. It's no longer a battle of, you

3:37know, that people have differences of

3:39opinions. This is a battle of good and

3:40evil at this point. And so many of the

3:44patterns which

3:46we see in the psychological

3:48behavior of [clears throat] people who

3:49are diabolically influenced, you see

3:51those same patterns in the people that

3:53are running the government and you know,

3:55in in positions of power. And so for the

3:58longest time I've I've known that this

3:59is ultimately a battle over good and

4:01evil at this point.

4:03>> [sighs]

4:04>> So, regardless of what as you mentioned,

4:06regardless of whichever political party

4:08or whoever gets in there,

4:09um you know, you can shuffle the chairs

4:12on the deck of the Titanic, but it's

4:14still going to go down if people don't

4:15address this in a spiritual manner.

4:18>> I'll tell you one thing I've learned

4:20over the past several weeks is I will

4:22never

4:23put my hope or faith in another man.

4:27>> Yeah.

4:27>> Ever again.

4:28>> Yeah, and it says it right in scripture,

4:30right? It's better to trust in God than

4:31in princes.

4:33Cuz they'll they'll end up selling you

4:35out every time. I actually saw this even

4:37with when the Jews said we wanted a

4:39king, they told God they wanted a king,

4:41which is ironic cuz the Jews were the

4:43only ones who ever had a theocracy, an

4:45authentic theocracy in the entire

4:46history of the world, and they still

4:48said they wanted a king. So he says,

4:50"Well, this is what he's going to do. If

4:51you if I give you the king, this is what

4:53he's going to do to you." And you know,

4:55he's going to send your he's going to

4:56send your children off to war, he's

4:57going to you know, take your best lands,

4:59he's going to do this, that, and the

5:00other thing. And they said, "We still

5:01want a king."

5:03So.

5:05>> We never learn.

5:05>> We don't learn.

5:08>> So before we get to the good stuff, I do

5:10want to cover

5:12the alien topic again.

5:13>> Okay.

5:14>> I think it's a dark topic and I have an

5:17inclination it's already been put out uh

5:20in messaging that the

5:24aliens

5:26wrote the Bible to control humanity.

5:30That's already a narrative that's being

5:31spread.

5:32>> Right.

5:33>> We have a timeline of events here that's

5:35going on. I'll read them real quick.

5:44And the timeline seems to be speeding

5:46up. Here's Here's the last couple of

5:48months. March 2026, Vice President Pence

5:51says publicly he believes UFOs are

5:54demons.

5:55The spiritual read reaches the second

5:57highest office in the country. May of

5:592026, the US government releases UFO

6:02files in splashy headline-grabbing

6:05fashion. Disclosure moves from fringe to

6:08official. Late May, a group of

6:11charismatic pastors claims US officials

6:14met with them and warned them to prepare

6:16their churches for the theological

6:18implications of disclosure.

6:21>> [clears throat]

6:22>> May 29th to June 3rd,

6:25Stephen Rossetti posted video, "Most UFO

6:28sightings are in fact demons."

6:31Cardinal McElroy removes him at

6:33Washington D.C.'s exorcist within days.

6:36>> Right.

6:36>> June 7th,

6:38Spielberg on CBS Morning frames the

6:40faith question for a mass audience, "Is

6:43our God

6:44Is God Our God only on this planet?"

6:47June 12th, Disclosure Day opens

6:49nationwide in a film which the

6:52government releases UFO files mirroring

6:55real events 3 weeks earlier.

6:57>> Right.

6:59>> Why are we seeing this sudden

7:01fascination within our government in a

7:04sped-up timeline in UFO and disclosure

7:06release along

7:08>> Yeah.

7:08>> that coincides with Hollywood?

7:11>> Uh

7:13My only Uh you know, ultimately, I don't

7:16know why they're going to do it other

7:18than it's just another aspect of trying

7:20to control people psychologically or to

7:23manipulate to manipulate people.

7:26>> [snorts]

7:26>> Um and so that's uh

7:29Part of it is too is is that they're

7:31they're playing on the fact that people

7:33generally are pretty ignorant about

7:34history like, you know,

7:37as we were mentioning that

7:38um you know, that the

7:40that the scriptures were actually

7:41written by aliens, that type of thing,

7:43or that the aliens actually

7:46come here to offer us a way to save

7:48humanity. So, they want to supplant

7:50Christianity and that type of thing. And

7:52so, my suspicion is, you know, again,

7:55and how much evidence I would have for

7:56it, I don't really know, but

7:58my suspicion is is that a lot of the

8:00people that are in government are

8:01actually anti-Christian. And so, part of

8:03their way with their goal is is to

8:06supplant Christianity by an alternative

8:08explanation of our origins and things of

8:11that sort.

8:12>> Do you think it is a possibility that

8:14the narrative that they are going to try

8:16to destroy Christianity by by by

8:19by saying that aliens wrote the Bible to

8:21control us? Do you think that is a is an

8:23actual possibility?

8:25>> Yeah, actually, if you look at the

8:26history of like, for example, of

8:29I mean, the the supposed alien

8:32communication with people other than say

8:34abductions, but there's also where

8:36people claim to have some type of

8:39communication with aliens on another

8:40planet through astral projection or some

8:42other form of

8:44communication. It's always to supplant

8:47Christianity as the solution to man's

8:49problems. The demons or not not the

8:51demons so much, but we can get into

8:53that, too, but

8:55the aliens always say, "Well, we, you

8:57know, we're here, we're coming, or this

8:59is what we want to communicate to you to

9:01provide a solution to all of man's

9:03problems. We can help you out with

9:05that." And then sometimes they even

9:08will

9:10propose that, you know, that human

9:11beings originated for that they were

9:13were basically just the the spawn or the

9:15seeds from their having visited our

9:18planet in the past. So, it's basically a

9:21whole supplanting supplanting of the

9:22Genesis narrative about man's origins

9:25and things of that sort. So, the whole

9:27idea is to supplant Christianity as the

9:31as the actual understanding of

9:35reality ultimately.

9:36>> Would God have made another race

9:39somewhere else in the universe?

9:41Uh well, there's two

9:44my

9:45my view of all these things tends to be

9:47very complex because of the fact that

9:50um as an exorcist, I follow what's

9:52called the principle of evidence very

9:54closely. And the principle of evidence

9:57says that the certitude of our

9:59um judgment about something is based

10:02upon the certitude of the evidence. So,

10:05if the evidence doesn't give us

10:06certitude, we can kind of arrive at a

10:08conclusion, but we don't have that same

10:10degree of certitude that you would have

10:11of of, you know, if you actually saw

10:13something or that type of thing. And so,

10:16uh

10:17that being said, the uh

10:20if you actually look at the actual

10:22evidence um for the possibility of them

10:26living in other locations, it has to

10:29then you have to address questions like

10:30is is macroevolution and microevolution

10:33is macroevolution even possible?

10:36scientifically possible, which is very

10:38problematic. Uh theological and philoso-

10:40theologically and philosophically,

10:42there's all sorts of problems with it.

10:44Uh the other and so and then the reason

10:46for that is is because um the theory is

10:48is that if there was evolution here,

10:51then that means there's evolu- there

10:52would be evolution in the other parts of

10:53the uh universe. And so, um

10:57there would be beings that would, you

10:58know, evolve maybe before us and

11:00therefore be more intelligent, etc. And

11:02so, that's kind of the the scientific um

11:05background that they kind of give to it.

11:07But the the the evolution question is

11:09obviously a whole kind of an interview

11:10on its own. But it's uh but that's

11:13that's that's one of the um questions

11:16that has to actually be answered first.

11:18The second thing then is is I've read

11:21top-tier

11:23uh astrophysicists who actually are

11:25really serious about, you know, not just

11:28um because we see something in the sky

11:30that we can't explain and therefore we

11:31conclude that they're they're from

11:32another planet and that's where the the

11:34principle of evidence is actually

11:35violated because in point of fact just

11:38because you see something you can't

11:39explain doesn't mean there's people on

11:41other planets. That's a logical leap

11:42that is a that's problematic. Um and

11:45then if the uh and then so the and then

11:48the abduction questions which are often

11:50linked to those two things

11:52um then also has another possible

11:53explanation etc. So what's happening is

11:57is that people are not following the

11:58principle of evidence closely but when

11:59you read the astrophysicists

12:01um the top tier astrophysicists they're

12:05all very

12:06uh adamant in saying that the energy

12:09requirements to be able to travel even

12:10from like one of our one of our closest

12:13neighbors is so extreme that it's it's

12:16it's not reasonable to presume that

12:19they're it's even possible I mean based

12:21upon the science and the mathematics.

12:23>> I mean why would God why would God

12:25create other beings anyways? I mean we

12:28he loves us

12:30so much. Yeah. I mean we see we I can

12:34feel the battle within me of good and

12:36evil. I can I can I can feel I think a

12:38lot of people can feel it.

12:40>> Yeah in a certain sense

12:42>> And and and and just a caveat to that I

12:44mean we're the only species on the

12:46planet that even is aware of its own

12:49death.

12:49>> That's correct. Yeah that's

12:51>> Why wouldn't he make another super

12:52intelligence here on this planet? Why

12:54would why would it why

12:55why?

The Angelic Hierarchy Explained

12:56>> Well so

12:58and therein actually lies a a a

13:01a specific philosophical question. The

13:04um if you actually look at there's a

13:06principle called the hierarchy of being

13:08which basically means that when God

13:09created the universe he created it in a

13:12hierarchy from the lowest thing like the

13:14lowest elements rocks that type of thing

13:15all the way up through the highest which

13:17is the angels at the very top and

13:19there's every single intermediate stage

13:22has some kind of a being. This is why we

13:23see all sorts of different kind of

13:25animals and that type of thing um up

13:27that goes up through the gradation and

13:29the human beings are, as we read in

13:31scripture, a little less than the

13:33angels. So, we're the ones that bridge

13:34the gap between the angels and animals

13:36cuz we're the rational animal, right?

13:38So, we're animals, but we have

13:40rationality and that's why we we're the

13:41only ones that have knowledge of that

13:43type of thing.

13:44The and so, what

13:46and then to put it in philosophical

13:47terms,

13:48the specific difference that human

13:50beings have from other animals is

13:51precisely the fact that we're rational,

13:53we're intelligent, and we can know these

13:55things.

13:56Um so, that's what makes us specifically

13:58different. If there are if you have

14:01other beings in other planets, then

14:03you'd actually have a problem with the

14:04principle of the hierarchy of being

14:05because you'd have to have two

14:08beings that have the same specific

14:09difference, but they're not in the same

14:11species.

14:13The other part of it is too is and this

14:14is where the the um the real supplanting

14:16of Christianity occurs. I know there's

14:18theologians who have tried to argue

14:19contrary to this, but it never washed,

14:22which is basically if Adam and Eve were

14:25created in a state of perfection, um and

14:27then they there was a a fall as a result

14:30of that, then when Christ came, he came

14:33specifically to redeem Adam's line or

14:36not yeah, Adam's line. His whole In

14:38fact, the um the fathers say that where

14:41the crucifixion took place is directly

14:43over the tomb where Saint where uh Adam

14:46was buried specifically to indicate that

14:49his was the spilling of his blood to

14:51redeem the line of Adam. And so,

14:53original sin, which was committed which

14:55we all get we all we're all messed up as

14:56a result of that, is passed on to human

14:59nature, okay? If that was the case, then

15:01you would actually if that's the case

15:03theologically, which you know, we all

15:05believe, um even Protestants recognize

15:07that there is this sin that they

15:08originally committed and now we're all

15:10kind of affected by it, then what

15:12happens is um you would actually have

15:14beings in the universe, intelligent

15:15beings that were not from the line of

15:17Adam, but were now subject to the

15:20effects cuz Saint Paul says that um and

15:22which we actually see since the whole of

15:24creation groans under the weight of the

15:26of the sin with basically of Adam. In

15:29other words, all of the all of the

15:31universe got affected as a result of

15:34Adam's sin because he was the one that

15:36was placed and in dominion over the

15:38totality of the naturally created order.

15:41And so when he fell, he took the whole

15:44created order with him and that's why we

15:45see

15:46death among animals. This is why we see

15:48starvation even among animals and things

15:51like that. So even they suffer as a

15:52result of that. Well, you'd actually

15:54have a being that didn't actually wasn't

15:56in that line and you would still be

15:58somehow subject to it. And so this is

16:01that creates a theological problem.

16:03There's all sorts of other issues that

16:05actually arise in relationship to the

16:08whole positing of those creatures in

16:10another location.

16:11The second part about it is is that um

16:15if if you if the fathers of the church

16:17So the fathers of the church are those

16:18that were writing from right at the

16:21death of the last apostles up until

16:22about 800 to 1,000. And the reason why

16:26in the church we tend to pay a quite a

16:27bit of attention to them is because they

16:29were so close to the time of the

16:31apostles that they actually had the

16:33tradition in certain things from the

16:35apostles that was still intact. So they

16:36actually understood um you know, when

16:39this apostles wrote certain things in

16:41scripture, what those things meant

16:42because they had this proximity of

16:44people who were still alive and say,

16:45"Yeah, this is what he said and this is

16:46what we understood by it." So that's why

16:48the fathers of the church are so key,

16:50okay? But the fathers of the church um

16:54uh

16:55you know, basically um uh make it very

16:58clear that we are basically human beings

17:02are the center of the moral universe in

17:04the sense that

17:05um

17:06even the angels that were created, their

17:09entire battle, which we can talk about

17:11later, their entire creation and their

17:13entire battle all revolved around us

17:16ultimately in the end. And so, you would

17:19actually have a situation where there's

17:21beings on other planets where the whole

17:23totality of the angelic order had

17:25nothing to do with them. So, there's a

17:27lot of theological problems. And so, in

17:29the end,

17:31um

17:31this the idea that there's beings on

17:33other planets, which by the way is not

17:35new. This has been around for millennia.

17:37This idea was a whole-heartedly rejected

17:40by philosophers, theologians, and um

17:44you know, even scientists in large part

17:46now.

17:50Let me tell you guys a story real quick.

17:53Once upon a time,

17:55there was a guy who joined the SEAL

17:56Teams.

17:58And then he went to CIA. And he did some

18:00contracting over there.

18:02And one thing he learned is that when it

18:04comes to devices, cell phones, tablets,

18:08computers, pretty much anything,

18:11there is no privacy.

18:13When he got to Central Intelligence

18:14Agency, he had to be issued all these

18:17special devices like black phones

18:21to help protect

18:22sensitive information, so it wouldn't

18:24get out.

18:26And then this guy got out of that, and

18:29he started a podcast.

18:31When the podcast started, he was just

18:33kind of talking to former colleagues,

18:37people over at Central Intelligence

18:38Agency, former SOF guys, DEVGRU guys,

18:42Delta guys. And then it kind of

18:44developed. And it turned into

18:47interviewing politicians. And then it

18:49turned into interviewing presidents and

18:51vice presidents.

18:53And then it turned into heads of state.

18:56And this guy,

18:58through the arc of the podcast, started

19:01really becoming concerned not only for

19:03his own privacy, but also for the

19:05privacy of his team.

19:07They're traveling all over the world.

19:10And so, they went on a venture

19:13and they were looking for

19:15a black phone, a black device that

19:17cannot be tracked. They found it.

19:20And when they found it, they realized

19:21how expensive that is.

19:24It's

19:26almost unaffordable.

19:30So that guy in the story is me.

19:33And so what I've done now

19:36is I wanted to develop an app

19:38that's affordable

19:40for everybody

19:42to protect you and your data.

19:45You see, you don't realize how much

19:48information is being exploited out of

19:51your device

19:53to track you,

19:54to sell your information,

19:57and destroy your privacy. And so I

20:00partnered with a couple of former

20:02intelligence guys, NSA types.

20:07And we developed an app called the

20:09Glacier app.

20:11What the Glacier app is is the first

20:13thing

20:14that I wanted was burner numbers. I

20:16wanted numbers because I'm connected to

20:18all these different people all over the

20:20all over the world, state actors,

20:22politicians,

20:24people I don't trust.

20:26And my number gets leaked.

20:28And then I start getting phone calls

20:29from people that I don't want phone

20:30calls from.

20:32Maybe for regular people,

20:35you're ordering a pizza, you're staying

20:36at a hotel, you're donating to a

20:38political campaign, and then you start

20:40getting all the spam calls, right? Well,

20:43>> [clears throat]

20:44>> now you don't have to do that. You can

20:46get a burner number through this

20:48application that we developed. The

20:50application's called the Glacier app.

20:52>> [gasps]

20:53>> And when the relationship's done,

20:56you just delete the number, you pick a

20:57new one. You can pick any area code you

21:00want.

21:02That way, when you burn the number,

21:04there's absolutely zero way for them to

21:06get back in contact with you. On top of

21:08that, we built a secure DNS. So,

21:12basically what secure DNS is is it

21:14allows you to surf the web without being

21:16tracked.

21:18You know what I'm talking about. You

21:19talk about something with your family,

21:21maybe a product, maybe you want to buy

21:23some new

21:25piece of gear, and then the next thing

21:27you know, you're getting advertisements

21:28all over your phone for it.

21:30Because they're listening, they're

21:31exploiting your data, and they're

21:33selling it. They're tracking you. So,

21:35that's what DNS kind of helps with. Then

21:37we put

21:39an American-owned

21:40us VPN company. So, you see a lot of

21:44these other VPN companies that you think

21:45are American are owned by China, they're

21:48owned by Russia, they're owned by

21:50Israel.

21:52And a lot of these companies own

21:55several VPN, maybe 20, 30, maybe 50,

21:58maybe 100 VPN companies, but it's all

22:01one company that owns it.

22:03And so, we are an data. All the data

22:07stays on your device.

22:14It took a long time to develop this. We

22:16put a lot into it. It's been about a

22:18year, and it's finally here. You've

22:20heard about me talking about it on the

22:22show.

22:23Once again, it's called the Glacier app.

22:25It's available at the glacierapp.com

22:28or on the Apple Store. Right now, it's

22:31only available for [snorts] iOS devices,

22:34but

22:35soon it will be for Android as well, and

22:38we'll send email updates on that. So,

22:42I want you to remember one thing.

22:44Privacy

22:45is not paranoia. It's protection.

22:49Once again,

22:50the glacierapp.com.

22:52Thank you.

22:55I think a lot of people are tracking the

22:57wrong things when it comes to health.

22:59They track steps, workouts, body weight,

23:03all that kind of stuff.

23:05And that stuff can be useful, but if you

23:07don't know what's happening inside your

23:09body, you're still missing the bigger

23:11picture.

23:12That's why I use Superpower. Superpower

23:15gives you a real look under the hood.

23:17One simple lab test gives you

23:20information on over a 100 biomarkers.

23:23I'm talking about things like

23:24cholesterol, testosterone, cortisol, and

23:28that's just the start. And the value is

23:30not just the lab test, it's what

23:32Superpower helps you do with the

23:34information. You can track your results

23:36over time, understand long-term trends,

23:39see your biological age, and get a

23:41personalized protocol based on your

23:43results. That's what makes it useful. If

23:46you're serious about training, recovery,

23:48energy, longevity, or just staying ahead

23:50of your health, you need more than

23:52surface-level data. You need to know

23:53what's actually going on. Superpower is

23:56the most affordable 100-plus biomarker

23:59lab test, starting at $199,

24:02and it's HSA/FSA

24:05eligible. Make this the year you stop

24:07guessing about your health with

24:09Superpower. For a limited time, our

24:11listeners get $20 off to unlock their

24:13new health intelligence. Head over to

Why God Loves Humanity

24:33Why are we so important to God?

24:36I mean,

24:37everything he created is for us, to

24:40protect us, right?

24:43Ultimately, because we live off of I

24:45mean, everything. We we we It seems that

24:48human beings

24:50I mean, we

24:51we're everything to him. Yeah, but I

24:53mean, why? Why us? Why are we so

24:56important? Why does he love us so much?

24:58>> Uh I think there's two reasons. One is

25:00because we're made in his image and that

25:03image the theological tradition is very

25:05clear is because we have

25:08intelligence and free will. So, he made

25:10us that way to be like him in that

25:13regard because his choice to create us

25:15was purely free. He didn't have to, but

25:17he made it. So, he want when he created

25:19us um in fact, St. Augustine makes the

25:22observation that one of the greatest

25:24signs of God's omnipotence is the

25:27ability to create something

25:29and sustain it in being and even sustain

25:31its acts in being that has the ability

25:34to choose between different goods and

25:35isn't determined to one thing. That's a

25:37sign of omnipotence.

25:39And so, in us is the manner is his image

25:43and the manifestation of his glory.

25:46So, if you read um the theologians,

25:48especially like Thomas Aquinas

25:50he makes the observation that

25:53because God is goodness itself, the

25:55proper object of God's love and will is

25:58himself because he's goodness itself.

26:01The difference is is we aren't goodness

26:03itself and so for us to be make

26:04ourselves our own objects of of our own

26:06love basically is disorder because our

26:09good we're only good because we are

26:11somehow participate in his good, okay?

26:14But when he creates us, it's called the

26:17principle of redundance. The good

26:18redounds to us and so we are good um in

26:22many ways and they by virtue of the fact

26:24that we manifest intelligence and will,

26:26we can make choices, we can become

26:28virtuous and so as a result of that, we

26:31he sees the good in us and then that's

26:34why he loves us because we're like him.

26:37>> [clears throat]

26:37>> And so, his love for us and even when he

26:40shows his love for us is directly to

26:42proportion it to how much we're like

26:44him.

26:57>> What was before

27:00everything?

27:01What was before angels? What was before

27:04us? What was

27:07What was before Was Was there always

27:09good and evil?

27:11Or was there just good?

27:12>> There was just good.

27:14Because there was just God.

27:16The difficulty with saying what was

27:18before us is is the fact that we're

27:20transposing time on God.

27:23So, there's actually three states that

27:26beings exist in. There's what's called

27:28eternity, which has neither a beginning

27:30or an end, and there's no sequence of

27:32events. It's just the eternal now.

27:35That's what God is in. And so, God

27:37actually sees what you're doing now,

27:39what you did in the past, what you're

27:40going to do in the future. He sees

27:41whether you make it to heaven. He sees

27:43all of that at the same instant cuz

27:45there's no beginning or end with him.

27:47And so,

27:48in a certain sense, there's no before or

27:50after with God. So, God, who was in

27:53eternity,

27:54um if we want to put it from our

27:56perspective, before he created us, um

27:58even though even that's not entirely

28:01accurate, but God always existed. So,

28:04and God, who's goodness itself, there

28:05was only good.

28:07Then, he creates the angels um into

28:10what's called the aevum, which has a

28:13beginning, but it has no end. And so,

28:15the the angels will always exist.

28:18Um when we die and go to heaven, we

28:20enter into the aevum because it will

28:21never end. So, we'll either be in heaven

28:24or we'll be in hell for all eternity.

28:25So, there's that. In this life, um when

28:29he created us, we he created us in time,

28:32which is kind of a law or a structure

28:33which

28:34uh regulates the passage of matter

28:36through motion. It's basically the way

28:38the philosophers talk about it, but it

28:40has a beginning, and it will have an end

28:41at the final judgment. Okay. So, before

28:45um God created the angels and us, he

28:47always was and so there he would that

28:49would there was only good.

28:51When he created the angels, he created

28:53them in a state of innocence, in a state

28:55of perfection, and also what's called

28:57the state of grace. That there was in

28:59their uh their natures or substance

29:02a qualitative reflection of him, a

29:04participation in his divine nature is

29:06how St. Paul describes it. But he

29:09created them in that state of

29:10perfection. And then some of them

29:12through their free choice chose to

29:14reject that and that's when evil first

29:16entered.

29:18>> How many angels are there?

29:20Do we know?

29:21>> Well, uh

29:22we don't know the exact number,

29:23obviously, but we know they're in the in

29:25the order of billions.

29:27And the reason we know that is just

29:29because um

29:31it is what they call if the

29:33in theology, we have various degrees of

29:35certainty certainty about theological

29:38propositions. So, for example, that

29:40Christ is God, we know is part of divine

29:43revelation, so it's which is absolutely

29:45certain. But then there's some other

29:47things like um like this particular

29:49question of whether each person has

29:51their own guardian angel is called

29:53theologically certain. It's not divinely

29:55revealed, but there's in there's

29:56indicators in scripture for it. So, um

29:59and then also just to the church's

30:01tradition and experience of the church,

30:03we know that each person was created for

30:05their own guardian angel. So, if that's

30:07the case then that being the case,

30:10the number of human beings that's

30:11generally speculated to have lived is in

30:13the about 20 billion. So, we know

30:16just in and there's nine hierarchies,

30:19there's um sorry, nine um choirs of

30:22angels. Of the lowest rank is the angels

30:26and each one of us got a guardian angel.

30:29So, that means just in that lowest rank,

30:31just one subset is 20 billion.

30:35But there's more angels that also were

30:36given other jobs. And so, it's literally

30:39in the billions. As you go up the

30:40hierarchy, it becomes less and less

30:42number of angels in each one of the

30:44choirs.

30:45But we know that there are literally

30:46billions. The fascinating thing is

30:49um according to St. Thomas Aquinas but

30:52then also to which he bases it off um

30:55Pseudo-Dionysius' writings in the early

30:57church, very early church, within the

30:59first

31:00uh one or two centuries of the church,

31:02that that entire hierarchy of angels was

31:05created instantaneously, all at once.

31:07>> Instantaneously?

31:08>> Instantaneously, all at once.

31:10>> So

31:11>> So unlike human beings, which God, you

31:12know, creates our souls and we there's

31:14more of us that are created over the

31:15time, the whole nine choirs were all all

31:20of them created instantaneously at once.

31:22>> Were our souls all created at once?

31:24>> No. They're created at the time of your

31:26conception.

31:29So their souls created and infused

31:31at at you at the time of your

31:32conception.

31:35So human beings, there's an ongoing

31:37creation in relationship to their souls,

31:39but angels, the totality of them were

31:41created all at once.

31:42>> How long before humans were there

31:44angels? Do we know that?

31:45>> Uh the fathers of the church say that um

31:49when he created this totality of the

31:51angels, then he immediately after that

31:53began the creation of in the in the

31:56creation account in Genesis, he began

31:58the creation. So the first, you know,

32:01uh

32:01creates the light and things like that.

32:02So you have that first day is it's

32:04follows immediately upon that. And then

32:07human beings follow after that.

32:13>> Can we talk about the hierarchy?

32:14>> Sure.

32:17>> What is the hierarchy?

32:19>> So the angels were created in a

32:22hierarchic structure, and there's nine

32:25choirs broken into what they call ranks.

32:28So there's three ranks. So it's kind of

32:30like almost like a military in that

32:31sense.

32:32The very top rank is uh made of the the

32:36seraphim, which is the very top. And

32:39each angel is its own species. And as an

32:44exorcist dealing with fallen angels,

32:46their personalities are so distinct,

32:48much more distinct than human

32:49personalities. And so you do get a sense

32:52of that they're each specifically

32:53different. Um part of that has to do

32:56with that if with human beings and also

32:59with other animals, a species is

33:01different because of the fact that you

33:03you there's something about called the

33:05specific difference that makes the

33:06species different from another one.

33:08That's called the specific difference.

33:10With human beings, we don't have a

33:12difference you and I don't we're not

33:14specifically different. We're both and

33:16what in fact in human beings the

33:17specific difference is rationality. You

33:19and I are both rationals, we know we

33:20have we're of the same species. What

33:22makes us difference is what we call

33:24accidental qualities. So the fact that

33:26you're you know, a bit taller than I am,

33:28a bit build bigger build, etc. You have

33:30different facial structure, etc. Your

33:32race is a little bit different than

33:33mine, etc. So there's those different

33:35qualities make us different as human

33:38beings.

33:39Angels don't have that. They don't have

33:42So it's matter specifically bodies. It's

33:45It's the fact that I have this body and

33:47you have that body, which makes us

33:48different as human beings. Even though

33:52by different in the sense of you're one

33:54human being and I'm one human being, but

33:56we're both of the same species. Okay.

33:58Because angels don't have bodies, as a

34:01result of that their specific difference

34:03is in their nature, which we can talk

34:05about that cuz that itself is

34:06fascinating. In fact, we can get to that

34:08in relationship to their fall because

34:09that plays a key role in their fall

34:12of of some of them. But that basically

34:14means that every single angel is

34:16specifically different. They're They're

34:18as different as say uh uh a grasshopper

34:22is from a cow. That's how different they

34:23are. And their their difference so

34:26they're each is is different. So

34:28those differences are then grouped into

34:30nine separate kind of categories, and

34:33that's the choir.

34:34And the what makes one angel um

34:38different from another is how

34:39intelligent they are. So, the very top

34:42angel is far more intelligent, and so he

34:44can understand things much more

34:46universally, much more broadly, um and

34:49also to much greater depth than the than

34:51one that's all the way at the bottom.

34:52Even though the lowest angel is far more

34:54intelligent than us, nevertheless,

34:56there's this hierarchy, and it's based

34:58on intelligence.

35:00An important point of that also means

35:02that their will is proportionate to how

35:04intelligent they are. So, they have a

35:05stronger will based upon how intelligent

35:07they are. This is why in hell there's

35:09still a hierarchy based upon how strong

35:11of a will that they actually have. So,

35:13Satan has the strongest will because he

35:15was from the cherubim, which is the

35:16second. So, the top rank

35:18is the seraphim. And St. Thomas Aquinas

35:20says that their primary function and

35:22role was to simply love God. Their whole

35:26reason for being was to love him.

Seraphim, Angels & Spiritual Rank

35:28>> What exactly do I do What does that look

35:30like? What What is that? If you If you

35:33were a seraphim, what what is

35:35>> It means

35:35>> What is your daily?

35:36>> Yeah, so your whole your holy cuz

35:39because he he creates each angel with

35:41its own natural law, its own natural set

35:43of inclinations. So, just as uh So, for

35:46example, when a human being gets

35:47married, we have a natural inclination

35:48around when they get married, there's a

35:49joy that they have in the marriage,

35:51right? From in being married, if it's a

35:53good marriage, of course. Um or we have

35:55a natural inclination to eat. So, when

35:56we eat, we we feel satisfied, etc. So,

35:58they get a fulfillment in just

36:00fulfilling the role uh or their tasks

36:03for which they were created, which is

36:04their their nature. So, for them, for

36:08the seraphim, it literally means just

36:10sitting around and contemplating God for

36:12all eternity, just contemplate and then

36:14loving him um

36:16at the various facets of his goodness.

36:19Because God is infinite,

36:21and uh even the angelic um

36:23and the angelic uh

36:26uh

36:26intellects are limited. It means that

36:29for all eternity they can be looking at

36:31a variety of different facets in God and

36:33deriving joy and love and loving God for

36:36seeing that goodness in him for all

36:38eternity and it's never exhausted. And

36:41that's what it is for us when we get to

36:42heaven once we get to see God

36:43face-to-face. For all eternity we'll be

36:46learning something new about him and the

36:47delight that we'll get out of that will

36:49bring. So for them when they see those

36:51good things in God, they're naturally

36:53inclined to love him from that

36:55perspective. Would a human being ever

36:56have interaction with a seraphim?

36:59Uh, yes, they can at times. Uh, not

37:02necessarily in this life. And St. Thomas

37:04says that their their interaction with

37:06us is, um, is fairly limited and has to

37:09do with the scope. So the top rank deals

37:12with God. So the seraphim, their job is

37:14to love God. The cherubim, their

37:17perfections that God gave them was to

37:19know God, to know the various aspects of

37:22God. That's why if you look at the

37:24patterns of the psychology of Satan, um,

37:27formerly Lucifer, uh, or Lucifer too,

37:30which we can talk about. His

37:31psychological patterns are that of a

37:33cherubim, which is what St. Thomas talks

37:35about. And the reason being is is

37:36because for him everything it revolves

37:38around knowledge of beauty ultimately,

37:40which is what he was created for. But

37:43then, uh, and seeing and contemplating

37:45that beauty in God. Um, and then the

37:48next one is the thrones. So the thrones,

37:50their job is to take that knowledge

37:52about God and what his will is and then

37:55propagate that knowledge down through

37:56the middle rank. And so the middle rank

38:00is actually, um, their job is

38:02administrative. So as an exorcist, even

38:05when you get demons that have fallen,

38:07they're from that middle rank, you

38:09rarely see them because their job, their

38:12that middle rank is, um, really about

38:15governance of the those below them and

38:18making sure everything is done right. So

38:20it's basically middle management type of

38:22thing. And God created um three

38:24different choirs for that. So, you have

38:26the thrones, principalities, powers, and

38:29dominations or to turn the middle. And

38:31then below that then is the lowest choir

38:35of rank and then and their jobs are the

38:37foot soldiers. So, the top the middle

38:39rank, the top rank contemplates God, the

38:42thrones tell them this is what God's

38:43will is. That governance process, the

38:46commands and stuff are propagated down

38:47to the middle ranks. And then you have

38:50the lowest rank that actually executes

38:52them. And so,

38:54uh those that lower ranks, which also

38:55includes um archangels and angels, that

38:58lower ranks, their job is to actually

38:59execute. So, that's

39:01those angels are the ones that we will

39:03actually have interaction with more than

39:05likely.

39:07>> God's special forces.

39:08>> Yes, exactly.

39:10>> Can angels [clears throat]

39:11advance in rank? No.

39:13>> Because what their their rank in the

39:16hierarchy is fixed.

39:19Um well, let me back up just a bit.

39:23How high you are in heaven in that

39:25hierarchy is directly proportionate to

39:27how holy you are.

39:30Human beings can actually take the place

39:32of fallen angels up through that rank by

39:34becoming holy, very holy, and then they

39:37can get a position that would be higher

39:39in the ranks in in relationship to that.

39:41So, for example,

39:43it is the uh tradition of the Catholic

39:45Church to believe that Our Lady

39:47underneath Christ that underneath

39:49Christ, the first one is Our Lady. Then

39:51underneath them are the apostles. And

39:53then also and then St. Joseph, St. um

39:56John the Baptist. There's going to be a

39:57debate of who's on the top of that. Then

39:59the apostles and then the seraphim. So,

40:01they're even above the apostles are even

40:02above the seraphim.

40:04>> Oh, wow.

40:04>> And then other and there's saints

40:07because become holy take the place of

40:09different locations. I've actually have

40:10a I have a case I'm working on right now

40:13that part of the reason this woman's

40:14case is dragging out is cuz she has to

40:16reach a level of holiness, which she's

40:17getting there. She has to reach a level

40:19of holiness to take the place of one of

40:21the possessors

40:22that had fallen. So, um we could human

40:25beings can actually take that. Okay, so

40:26what does that mean? Human beings,

40:28because in this life we can perform

40:30actions that merit and therefore

40:33increase and raise our place in heaven,

40:36we can actually get a higher place in

40:37heaven than some of the angels.

40:39But the angels, their holiness is

40:41directly proportionate to their nature.

40:43It's fixed. They can't merit anything.

40:46And so that's why they have one choice,

40:49and then if they make that choice, their

40:50break in heaven becomes fixed based upon

40:53that amount of holiness that they have.

40:55So a human can can become an angel or

40:58they can they can

40:59>> They don't become an angel to the top.

41:01>> Yeah, they'll become an angel. They they

41:03get into the ranks. They go up through

41:04the ranks or through the choirs in the

41:07sense of they become holier than an

41:09angel and therefore they get their

41:11amount of holiness that they have would

41:13exceed those angels that are below them

41:15and so they're above them in the command

41:18structure in heaven, the authority

41:19structure in heaven.

41:21>> I've heard and I might have this wrong.

41:23Is there is there

41:24will God pick 300 humans

41:27for the end times

41:29to bat to do his battle

41:31against the evil?

41:32>> Um I've heard that theory but I have not

41:34seen the evidence to back it up.

41:36>> Okay.

41:37>> So it could be we'll we'll we'll find

41:39out. There's certain things we know

41:40about the end like John the that

41:42Saint Elijah and Saint Enoch are going

41:44to return.

41:45>> That type of thing.

41:45>> So.

41:47>> Let's talk about the fall.

41:49>> Okay.

41:50>> What happened?

41:52>> So when the angels were created, there

41:55it's the whole hierarchy of angels is

41:57created at once.

41:59Now the way angels know things is the

42:02the exact opposite of the way we know

42:04things. The way we know something is we

42:06have to come in contact with a thing, we

42:08have to work with it a little while,

42:09then eventually kind of gain a more

42:10abstract knowledge of it, and eventually

42:12we can kind of have a universal

42:13knowledge of the thing. So, it takes us

42:15a while to actually get to the point

42:17where we fully understand something. And

42:19so, and we even see this even when we

42:21wake up. You know, we wake up, it takes

42:22us a while to get fully functioning. And

42:24even when we're going to make a choice,

42:25a lot of times we have to go through a

42:27series of steps to kind of consider

42:28various things before we make the

42:30choice. Okay, that's because our

42:32knowledge comes to the senses. We have

42:34to be in contact with something, and

42:35then from that we can actually know

42:36something about it. Um and draw And we

42:38can also infer knowledge based upon that

42:41um about other things that we don't

42:42necessarily see, etc. Okay.

42:45With angels, their their knowledge is

42:47infused. So, at the time by God, that's

42:49their mode of knowing, St. Thomas says.

42:51So, what at the first instance of their

42:53creation,

42:55God did two things. The first is he, in

42:58addition to creating them and creating

42:59them in this this state of grace and

43:01state of perfection,

43:03he also infused in them the knowledge of

43:05all of the essences of created things.

43:07And basically, what that means is they

43:09know exactly what a human being is, they

43:11know what dogs are, cats are. They know

43:12They know the natures of these things.

43:15Whereas human beings take a while to

43:16finally fully understand those things,

43:17they immediately exhaust everything

43:19there is to know about those just by

43:21thinking about them, to the degree of

43:23their intelligence.

43:24>> An infinite knowledge.

43:25>> It's not infinite, cuz it's still

43:27limited because they're limited. But,

43:29it's they instantaneously understand

43:31everything that could be known about

43:33that thing to the degree of their

43:34intelligence.

43:36Instantaneously, they don't have to

43:37think things through. Okay, so that's

43:39when it comes to the natures of things.

43:42But But, that's distinct. That kind of

43:45knowledge of things is distinct from

43:46knowing this thing is going to happen at

43:48this point in time. Those are called

43:50particulars. So, the ones are kind of

43:52called universal knowledge of things.

43:54The particulars are infused in them as

43:56they actually occur so by God. So, for

43:59example, the angels and the and the

44:01demons know what we are talking about as

44:03we talk about it, cuz it's infused in

44:05their minds. So, for example, if they

44:07want to know what's going on in another

44:09room, they just have to think about that

44:10room and then boom, they can see

44:12immediately what's actually there. Okay?

44:16When they were created,

44:18um they were created into an act of

44:21knowing because they instantaneously

44:23exhaust what there is to know. And in

44:24that that act of knowing,

44:27they learned a few things. One, who they

44:29are. They instantaneously saw their own

44:32nature and their specific difference.

44:34They actually understood by that fact

44:36that God had given them an assigned

44:37task. And that assigned task that he had

44:41given to them is who they are. Their

44:43It's their very nature of who they are.

44:47Then, um which we'll talk about what

44:48that means in the fall.

44:50Plus, they were given knowledge of all

44:52the other angels cuz it's all infused.

44:54They give the knowledge of all the other

44:55angels and their assigned tasks.

44:58They were also given knowledge that God

45:00was eventually going to become incarnate

45:02through Jesus Christ and that there were

45:04going to be certain

45:06Those who are created guardian angels

45:07were given knowledge of the the person

45:09that they were going to have to guard

45:11and to protect and certain aspects of

45:13that person's life

45:15because they would actually be told,

45:16"This is the person you're going to

45:18be protecting and this is his that that

45:21this is God's will for him in certain

45:22respects." They didn't know all of it,

45:23but they knew a lot of it. Okay?

45:26They understood So, they understood who

45:28they are, who the other angels are, what

45:30their assigned task was, what their

45:33these other particular things.

45:35And then they also knew who God was. And

45:38they also, St. Thomas says, were infused

45:40with faith, hope, and charity. So, they

45:41actually knew that that God, the second

45:44person of Trinity, was going to become

45:45incarnate. And we we actually know that

45:47from scripture

45:48that they were given that knowledge in

45:49the very beginning because when Christ

45:51first first shows up on the scene,

45:53they're like, "Is this the guy? Is this

45:55the guy? Is this guy?" And then once

45:56they see he's doing miracles and he's

45:58doing all this other stuff and the

45:59nature of his teaching, they realize,

46:01"This is the guy. He's the only only

46:03Christ could explain that who this guy,

46:06you know, cuz we were told that he was

46:07going to be coming incarnate, okay.

46:09So, they knew that Christ was going to

46:10be coming incarnate.

46:12And then um

46:14uh and they also knew that God was going

46:16to create human beings etc. So, but they

46:19they also knew God, they had a perfect

46:20knowledge of God, they had knowledge

46:22that he was triune because of their

46:24faith that God would showed them that he

46:26was triune, there's God the son, God the

46:28Holy Spirit, God the Father that he was

46:30triune. All of that they saw in an

46:33instant.

46:35>> Wow.

46:36>> So, they saw all of that and

46:38the resulting factor that that they saw

46:40that intellectually

46:42the natural response of the will St.

46:44Thomas says when they saw that was

46:46delight.

46:47The beauty of it, the magnificent, the

46:49grandeur of it was just so magnificent

46:52that they just they were taken by it in

46:54their first instance.

46:56And so, their first experience in their

46:59will wasn't their first choice cuz it

47:01was something which the will just

47:02naturally gravitated for towards cuz it

47:05was so beautiful.

47:06Um that was the that's in their first

47:08instance of their creation cuz remember

47:10they're in the A room which has a

47:11sequence of events. So, they have they

47:13have um that's the first instance.

47:17Because they saw that, they also were in

47:20that same thing they also saw if they

47:22were faithful, they would get to see God

47:24face-to-face and be happy for all

47:25eternity. But if they rejected God, they

47:27would be in they would be damned in hell

47:29and miserable for all eternity. So, they

47:30knew what the punishment was going to be

47:32like then. They have absolute clarity

47:34about that. There's not It's not like

47:35human beings where sometimes it's a

47:36little hazy for us. It was absolutely

The Fall of the Angels

47:39clear.

47:40The second instance is then in the

47:43second instance, St. Thomas says

47:46they looked at intellectually, they

47:48could see the temptations what all the

47:51other angels were going through.

47:54Every single intelligent being in order

47:55to be in the presence of God has to go

47:57through a test.

47:58And the test that the angels had is they

48:00had they were created with a set of

48:02perfections,

48:04but they could see higher perfections

48:06above them.

48:07And they could see that having those

48:10perfections would be actually a really

48:12good thing, but in order to have that

48:13perfection,

48:15they would have to reject their assigned

48:16task because it's not part of their

48:19nature, it's part of something else.

48:21And so when they saw that perfection, um

48:24that at that point they had to perform

48:27an act of sacrifice.

48:29They either had to sacrifice the desire

48:31for that perfection that they saw that

48:34they would like to have

48:35in order to remain faithful to the task

48:37that God had had told them that they had

48:40to do.

48:41And so but if they were faithful to that

48:43task, what they would get is the

48:45beatific vision, which is above any

48:47perfection that they could possibly

48:48have. And so that was their actual test.

48:51So that's what created jealousy.

48:54>> Uh

48:55>> In a sense, not in the sense that they

48:57had they didn't have those kinds of

48:59emotions that we have, but they saw that

49:01perfection and what would be like to

49:03have it would be a wonderful thing.

49:05But they had to be willing to sacrifice

49:07that lesser created good to ultimately

49:10end up seeing God face-to-face, which is

49:12the greatest of the highest good, the

49:14greater good. And we can kind of return

49:16to it because that's the same problem we

49:17have with human beings, the same thing

49:19we live out every single day. But that

49:21we have to sacrifice every single day in

49:23order to achieve the greater good. But

49:25they have that they saw that greater

49:26good. So that's what they saw

49:27intellectually. So they even saw Satan's

49:29temptation.

49:31And they knew or Lucifer's temptation

49:34and they knew that if they chose to

49:36reject their assigned task and have a

49:39and choose to just desire this thing,

49:40they were never going to get it, but

49:42just to desire it, um then they knew

49:45they would be under Satan. So they saw

49:47that whole complexity and then they made

49:49their choice.

49:51And so with them, they're very different

49:54from us than human beings are.

49:57The reason God has mercy on human beings

49:59is cuz we're stupid.

50:01No, it's true.

50:02We We as human beings, we make decisions

50:05and then, you know, afterwards we're

50:06like, "Oh, that was a

50:07mistake. I shouldn't have done that."

50:08And that's why God has mercy on us. So,

50:10if we're sorry for it, God will

50:12actually, um, you know, have mercy for

50:13us. But with the angels, they're not

50:15stupid. They know exactly what they're

50:18doing, and they know the full

50:20ramifications. So, So, when they make

50:22their choice, their choice is all in,

50:25and their will becomes completely fixed

50:27on that choice, whether it's good or

50:29bad.

50:30And this is why, even in session, demons

50:32will say, "Yeah, it was a bad choice,

50:34but I'd still do it again." Cuz their

50:36wills become fixed in that.

50:38So, they make their choice, and then the

50:40third instance, St. Thomas says, is

50:43because, unlike human beings, get me,

50:45um, we can make stupid choices, but then

50:47we can kind of start getting our act

50:49together later. God gives us time to

50:51work through that process, and then at a

50:53certain point, when we die, it becomes

50:54fixed, and then then he either condemns

50:56us or he brings us into heaven.

50:58Um, so for us, it takes us time to work

51:00out our salvation, as St. Paul says, you

51:02know, in fear and trembling work out

51:04your salvation. So, it takes us time.

51:06Whereas the angels, it's a one-shot

51:07deal. And so, once they make that

51:09choice, their will becomes completely

51:11fixed. And so, St. Thomas says, in the

51:12third instance, then God levies

51:16judgment. Just like all human beings

51:18have to go before Christ and the

51:20And, uh, he judges us. All of them were

51:22judged by the second person of the

51:24Trinity as to what their condemnation

51:26would actually be or their reward in

51:27heaven. And so, they're immediately

51:30damned or they're immediately, um, taken

51:32into heaven and see God immediately.

51:34>> How How How do we know this? I mean,

51:36some of this is not in the Bible,

51:38correct?

51:39>> Uh,

51:40>> Where does this come

51:40>> So, yeah, some of it parts of it are

51:42not, but parts of it actually have to do

51:45with two two forms of knowledge of the

51:47church has.

51:49The first is

51:51saints who have had mystical experiences

51:52and also just the general working out

51:55theologically of how these things

51:56actually work.

51:58The second component has to do with the

52:00collective experience of exorcists for

52:032,000 years. Because my experience as an

52:06exorcist is not any different from the

52:08exorcist in the first century AD.

52:10And so how demons talk and what their

52:13psychology is and what they end up

52:14revealing is consistent throughout those

52:162,000 years. So it's all of that kind of

52:19taken together. So it's theological

52:20reasoning.

52:21So if you read St. Thomas, it's all

52:23based on theological reasoning, but it's

52:24also based on a lot of scripture, but

52:27then also the mystical experiences, but

52:29then also just the church's collective

52:30experience in actually dealing with

52:33them.

52:34>> It's recorded information through time.

52:35>> Exactly.

52:40>> Let's go back into the fall.

52:41>> Okay.

52:42>> Did they all fall at one time?

52:44>> Yeah, it's all done at the instant they

52:45all

52:46fall in that second instance.

52:48>> What did that look like?

52:49>> Um

52:51>> Do we know?

52:52>> Uh well, scripture the description in

52:55the book of Revelation is, you know, I

52:57saw um

52:58um Satan fall like lightning. So

53:00[clears throat] it was just boom,

53:02everything had shifted and changed

53:04instantaneously in the in the

53:06in the experiences in the lives of the

53:08angels. So either the you know, the the

53:10angels that did the good they will they

53:12chose to do their assigned task. Their

53:15will became fixed in the good. And then

53:17of course they got to see God right

53:18away, but then the angels they fell and

53:21according to the fathers of the church

53:22and it's actually true. By the way, in

53:24session, I've told demons, you know, I

53:26command you to consider to weaken them.

53:28I command you to consider the the the

53:31your first instance of delight that you

53:33had.

53:34Because that when they first that joy

53:36that that that delight that they had

53:38crushes them now because it's so painful

53:41for them to consider how joyful it was

53:42in that moment.

53:43Um so you actually see these things kind

53:45of playing out and um

53:48but they also will some of them will

53:50actually under certain circumstances God

53:52will compel them to reveal

53:54what their their judgment that they were

53:56under went by God. And so you find out

53:59what those actual things actually are in

54:01relationship to it. So it's this massive

54:04shift and like lightning falling.

54:10>> Did angels from every rank structure

54:12fall?

54:13>> Uh

54:14>> [gasps]

54:15>> we know from the lowest eight ranks that

54:18there were ones that fell from those.

54:21There is some debate about whether one

54:23fell from the the seraphim or not.

54:26Thomas Aquinas says they didn't. Uh a

54:28majority of the theologians said they

54:30that from that top rank they didn't

54:32fall. It was just the ones from cherubim

54:34on down because there was nothing to

54:36look up to other than God, basically.

54:41And say for St. Thomas, it was um that

54:45they saw God and their in their first

54:47inclination was to love him that they

54:51couldn't it that it was because of the

54:53strength of their charity or love for

54:55God that they just did what he asked.

55:00>> Are there still angels falling today?

55:03>> Uh no. So that all the angels, since

55:05there's no more creation of any angels,

55:07and since they all went through that

55:08first three instances together, um none

55:11of them are falling now. So they don't

55:13It's not like you have an angel that

55:14ends up later falling.

55:16>> Do we have numbers on each side?

55:18>> Uh according to the interpretation of

55:21the fathers based upon what's in the

55:23Book of Revelation, um there's a

55:25reference where the dragon sweeps a

55:27third of the stars down by his tail.

55:30That has been interpreted universally by

55:33the patristics, that is the fathers of

55:35the church, and also the throughout time

55:37as referring to a third of the angels

55:39fell. Can angels or demons themselves?

55:41>> No.

55:42>> Demons, I mean.

55:43>> Yeah, demons.

55:44>> Once their will becomes fixed in evil,

55:46it's irreparable. It can never change.

55:48Do you think they regret it?

55:52You know, it reminds me of a politician,

55:55you'll remember who this is, when he

55:56said, "I did not have sex with that

55:59woman so-and-so."

56:01He regretted getting caught.

56:04He didn't regret the action.

56:06And it's the same thing with them.

56:09They have remorse in the sense of it

56:11bothers them and they hate themselves

56:13for it and they're sad about the fact

56:16that they committed the sin and that

56:18they um

56:20and that they uh you know, that they're

56:22going to be damned for all eternity and

56:23suffer for all eternity, but they would

56:25still do it again.

56:26In fact, I had a demon actually say

56:28that. So, I said, "Command him." cuz I

56:29was trying to weaken this guy. I said,

56:31"So, let me get this straight." By the

56:32way, when I put it colloquially, you

56:34know, in the interview, it's very

56:36structured. I'm saying, "I command you

56:38to tell me X, Y, and Z."

56:40But uh I just said, "So, let me get this

56:42straight. You were created to have the

56:44beatific vision?" Yes. "And you were

56:46created with this phenomenal perfections

56:48and the the ability to see this?" Yes.

56:50"And you saw that beauty in the first

56:52instance?" Yes. "And you knew that if

56:53you were faithful, you would enjoy these

56:55things?" Yes. "And you knew if you

56:56weren't faithful that you would suffer

56:58this and you and this Yeah, and you

57:00you're suffering this now?" Yes. "And

57:01you'd do it again?" Yes.

57:05>> Most gear looks good until you actually

57:07start using it. Then you find out pretty

57:10quickly what holds up and what doesn't.

57:13That's why I keep coming back

57:16to Roka. These aren't just lifestyle

57:18sunglasses pretending to be performance

57:32lightweight, the optics are razor sharp

57:35with zero glare. And you honestly forget

57:40you're even wearing them. But they still

57:43look clean enough to wear anywhere. Not

57:45overly tactical, just modern

57:47functional design that works every day.

58:39>> Did God know that was going to happen?

58:41Did God know the fall would happen?

58:43>> Yes.

58:44Because he's outside of time.

58:46>> Why did he allow the fall? Is the fall

58:49ultimately the test of the human being?

58:53>> Uh

58:53well, we we are all tested

58:55>> the ones that influence our mind,

58:56correct?

58:57>> It's Let me ask you this.

58:59Would you want to be around someone who

59:01you forced to love you?

59:03>> No.

59:04>> No. You want someone who wants to love

59:06you and chooses it on their own. It's

59:08the same with God.

59:09God created us with free will. And in

59:13order to have that free will, he allows

59:15us that certain percentage of people to

59:17fall uh both human beings and angels to

59:20fall and reject with him

59:23for the greater good, which is those who

59:25are faithful, who voluntarily chose to

59:28love him.

59:33>> How did they gain access to our mind?

59:36>> Um okay, so the basic way it works is

59:40their very nature is designed where

59:42their wills are structured in such a way

59:43that they can move matter by its na- by

59:46their nature.

59:47And so that means that they can move

59:48things within uh us um

59:51uh it because our part of our brain our

59:54intellect is is material. Not all of it,

59:56but part of it is actually material.

59:58Um the brain basically. And so they can

Sacrifice, Demons & Spiritual Warfare

1:00:00actually act upon it.

1:00:05>> Let's go back to human sacrifice a

1:00:06little bit.

1:00:08I mean

1:00:10spent a couple days there. We talked

1:00:12about my past experiences.

1:00:14I've done some serious work here and

1:00:16I've realized that the battle is in is

1:00:18in your mind for your soul.

1:00:19>> That's right.

1:00:20>> And

1:00:22I mean Christ himself was human

1:00:24sacrifice.

1:00:25>> That's right.

1:00:26>> And so

1:00:28if the battle is within your mind and

1:00:30demons have access to your mind and

1:00:31angels have access to your mind and

1:00:33suicide is a human sacrifice, abortions

1:00:36a human sacrifice.

1:00:38>> Going to war is human sacrifice. All

1:00:41these I mean all these everything seems

1:00:44to come down to

1:00:46human sacrifice.

1:00:47>> That's right.

1:00:50>> Why is the human sacrifice so important?

1:00:53What do what what what does it

1:00:54represent? What what

1:00:56why is it happening?

1:00:58>> Thomas Aquinas makes an observation

1:01:00which is right along what you were

1:01:01saying. He said the ultimate thing that

1:01:04God wants from every intelligent

1:01:06creatures, this would include angels and

1:01:07and man. He said the ultimate thing he

1:01:09wants from every intelligent creature is

1:01:11the sacrifice of his will that is ours

1:01:15to his will, to God's will.

1:01:17And the reason being has to do with

1:01:19this.

1:01:20So I'll explain the theological

1:01:23structure of it and then I'm going to

1:01:24talk about a case I had that

1:01:27that that all revolved specifically

1:01:29around sacrifice.

1:01:31So,

1:01:33the

1:01:34in every sacrifice there's three

1:01:36components. We learned God taught us

1:01:38what sacrifice was in the Old Testament.

1:01:40So, in the with the Jews, he said this

1:01:42is exactly how you're supposed to do it.

1:01:45So, it in relationship to God sacrifice

1:01:48which we offered him has to follow a

1:01:49very distinct structure because if any

1:01:51one of these elements are missing, it's

1:01:53not a true sacrifice. And so, he said

1:01:55this is exactly how you're supposed to

1:01:57do it. Christ himself also said you when

1:02:00he uh did the the holy sacra- first

1:02:03mass, the holy sacrifice of the mass on

1:02:05on

1:02:06on good on Monday Thursday, he said do

1:02:09this in commemoration of me. So, he's

1:02:12being very specific about how they're

1:02:13supposed to do it, okay? And that's

1:02:15because if we don't, human beings are

1:02:17stupid, you know, and we're going to

1:02:18mess it up. So, the first component is

1:02:21of a sacrifice is offertory.

1:02:24>> [cough]

1:02:24>> Basically, what [clears throat] the

1:02:24offertory is is a setting apart of what

1:02:27I'm offering to God apart from me and

1:02:29apart from profane or sacred

1:02:32profane use. And that has two

1:02:34components. The first is there has to be

1:02:37some good that I have that I'm willing

1:02:39to be separated from. This was the line

1:02:42of demarcation between the sacrifice of

1:02:45Abel and the sacrifice of Cain.

1:02:47Cain Abel gave the best that he had. And

1:02:51so, he he retained nothing for himself

1:02:53in that process.

1:02:55Whereas Cain kept the best for himself

1:02:57and gave God a sacrifice of something

1:02:59that was good but not his best.

1:03:02And as a result of that, the second the

1:03:04second part of it is so you you have to

1:03:06be willing to be separated from the

1:03:08particular good. And you have to be

1:03:10willing to give it to God. In that very

1:03:12process,

1:03:14you are actually achieving the greater

1:03:16good. Okay, that's is a key element of

1:03:19sacrifice that in us being willing to be

1:03:21separated from the lesser good and

1:03:23giving it to God, a greater good is

1:03:25accomplished. And in just in that

1:03:28process itself, we become better as

1:03:31human beings just in the offering of the

1:03:33just in that offering of it to him.

1:03:35And so but if there has to be that

1:03:36perfect willing to detach from that

1:03:39lesser good in order to for the greater

1:03:42good. So, let me give you an example.

1:03:45The guy who goes off to war,

1:03:46the lesser good, ironically, is his own

1:03:49life.

1:03:50The greater he's willing to offer his

1:03:52life for what? For our good, the common

1:03:55good of the country. And in that

1:03:57process, the greater good that he

1:03:58achieves in that, the excellence that he

1:04:00achieves in that, is perfection in

1:04:03justice. And as a result of that, he

1:04:06gets honor. So, that honor is one of the

1:04:09greatest things that human beings can

1:04:11achieve. It's better to die in honor

1:04:13than to die in dishonor, for example.

1:04:16And so, he has to be willing to give up

1:04:17his own life for the sake of achieving

1:04:19the greater good. So, that

1:04:21offertory component is really key. So,

1:04:23you have to be willing up to give the

1:04:24lesser good in order to achieve the

1:04:26greater good. That's the first element.

1:04:29The second thing is there is the slaying

1:04:31of the victim. So, if you look at

1:04:33Christ, let's back up in Christ, his

1:04:35offertory was not my will but thine be

1:04:38done. So, he did it at the Mount of

1:04:39Olives. He was willing to offer up his

1:04:41own life for the sake of the greater

1:04:43good was our salvation.

1:04:45And so, he was willing to offer that up.

1:04:47And so, that's why he told God, "Not my

1:04:48will but thine be done." Okay, so that's

1:04:50the offertory.

1:04:52Then there's the slaying of the victim.

1:04:54So, in Christ's case, that's the the

1:04:55passion and death of our Lord.

1:04:57And then the last part of it is the

1:04:59consummation. You actually the the

1:05:02victim has to be completely consumed in

1:05:05the process. Because if it's not, then

1:05:07there's still something we're retaining

1:05:08for ourselves. So, the person has to be

1:05:10willing to completely die to themselves

1:05:12entirely. And how do we know that Christ

1:05:14did that? Well, he himself even said it

1:05:16right before he died. Consummatum

1:05:18est. It is It is consummated. What did

1:05:20that actually mean?

1:05:22It meant that

1:05:24and the saint

1:05:26Isaiah talks about this. Saint Paul also

1:05:28talks about it. That the Messiah had to

1:05:31go through a series of sufferings in

1:05:34order to merit for us the

1:05:38what was necessary for the perfection in

1:05:40all aspects of our lives. And so he was

1:05:44he was for example the reason he wore

1:05:45the crown of thorns is in order to undo

1:05:48Adam's sin in relationship to eating the

1:05:50fruit when he should not have and then

1:05:52God gave him the punishment of you have

1:05:53to work in thorns and in pain. So Christ

1:05:56Christ's suffering was to undo all of

1:05:59that. Okay. So the sacrifice then

1:06:02basically means that in the end the

1:06:05reason God wants sacrifice from all of

1:06:07us is because he wants for us to achieve

1:06:10the greater good and not be satisfied

1:06:13with the lesser good. He wants That's

1:06:15it's it's a call to the greater good.

1:06:17Okay.

1:06:19That being said

1:06:20So I I had this case

1:06:22where

1:06:23the

1:06:25we kept revolving around our lady under

1:06:27the title of mirror of justice.

1:06:30Now the reason that the mirror of

1:06:33justice the reason that was so key and

1:06:35the reason had a correlation to

1:06:37sacrifice is because of the fact that

1:06:41under the virtue of justice is the

1:06:43virtue of religion. So

1:06:44justice is where I render someone their

1:06:46due. So if you if I say hey go mow my

1:06:48lawn and I'll pay you 50 bucks if you

1:06:49mow the lawn. I in justice I have to

1:06:51give you 50 bucks. Okay.

1:06:53Underneath that is the virtue of

1:06:54religion where we render God his due.

1:06:56Okay, what did God do for us? He creates

1:06:58us he keeps us in being everything that

1:07:00we do can do all of that he caused. And

1:07:03so literally there is nothing in us to

1:07:06which we don't owe back to him. So,

1:07:08ultimately, we have to render ourselves

1:07:09in perfection before him. That's our

1:07:11goal. Okay. So,

1:07:14uh

1:07:15um okay. So, that being the case, then,

1:07:19in relationship to justice, underneath

1:07:21um justice is the virtue of religion,

1:07:22underneath the virtue of religion are

1:07:24four acts, but one of those acts is to

1:07:26offer sacrifice to God because that

1:07:28sacrifice is doing what? Giving the best

1:07:31that we have. So, as I mentioned, we

1:07:33have to render back to him everything,

1:07:35what is perfect. Well, what do we do in

1:07:38order to show that as a sign? We render

1:07:40back to him the best in us, the thing

1:07:42that we love the most. We have to give

1:07:44back to him. Okay. And so, that's what

1:07:46he's ultimately looking for. Now, by the

1:07:48way, it doesn't mean that in that

1:07:49process, when we give it to him, that he

1:07:51doesn't reward us or that he doesn't

1:07:53take care of the thing that we offer to

1:07:54him, etc. It just means that that's what

1:07:57he wants us to give it to him. Okay.

1:08:00In this case, so

1:08:03the anytime this demon would manifest

1:08:06when I was saying mass, cuz that we'd

1:08:07start the sessions with a mass. Anytime

1:08:10the demon would manifest, it's because

1:08:12God had told him he had to tell me

1:08:14something. So, during this mass,

1:08:16Beelzebub is the entire, which is

1:08:18another name for Satan. He manifests

1:08:20during mass. I finish mass and I okay.

1:08:23So, then we start the sessions. As soon

1:08:25as the as Beelzebub manifested, I said

1:08:27to him, "He told me he told you you had

1:08:29to tell me something, didn't he?"

1:08:32He was so angry

1:08:35that he could not even look at me. He

1:08:36was so angry.

1:08:38So, then I said to him, "Shut up. You

1:08:41are not permitted to talk." Now, there's

1:08:43a reason I did that. One is is because I

1:08:45don't want him telling me based upon

1:08:47when he thinks it's time. He has to

1:08:49realize I'm the guy in charge. But, then

1:08:50a lot of that is just to maintain the

1:08:51authority structure because they're

1:08:53constantly trying to get into the

1:08:54driver's seat. The second thing is is

1:08:57it's normal spiritual warfare. This is a

1:08:59stout adversary. And so, just as we

1:09:02would in normal warfare, you would just

1:09:04bomb them for a while first to soften up

1:09:06the situation, then you'd send in the

1:09:08ground troops. He's the same way. If you

1:09:10try and ask him the question right off

1:09:12the bat, he's going to hold tight and

1:09:13you're not going to get anywhere. So,

1:09:14you don't want to send the troops in

1:09:15first, you want to bomb him first. So,

1:09:17what I did is I

1:09:18basically punished him for 45 minutes.

1:09:21And at the end of that 45 minutes, I

1:09:22said to him,

1:09:24I said, "Do you have something you have

1:09:25to tell me?" And he said, he told me, "I

1:09:28have to tell you my nature."

1:09:31Now, what that means is his assigned We

1:09:33already knew what his assigned task was.

1:09:36It was to enlighten both Our Lady and

1:09:38our minds. Lucifer's original assigned

1:09:41task, the reason he was called Lucifer

1:09:43is because that mean comes from the

1:09:44Latin words lux ferre, which means to

1:09:46bear light.

1:09:48His job was to enlighten our minds, to

1:09:50to get us to see the necessity and the

1:09:54good in offering sacrifice. That was his

1:09:56original assigned task.

1:09:58And so,

1:09:59um when he told he said, he told me, "I

1:10:01have to tell you my nature." I said,

1:10:03"Let's hear it." Now, when they chose to

1:10:06to reject their assigned task, you have

1:10:08to remember, that's who they are.

1:10:10And that meant that in their choice, it

1:10:12was a perfect act of self-hatred.

1:10:15And they refused to do that function

1:10:18that God had told them to. So, what they

1:10:20chose then is the opposite of that

1:10:22assigned task. And so, what he does is

1:10:25to thwart sacrifice. But, this is where

1:10:27it becomes key.

1:10:28>> [snorts]

1:10:29>> He just looks at me deadpan, which is

1:10:31gives an indicator he's probably telling

1:10:32the truth. And then as we started

1:10:33unpacking it later theologically,

1:10:35realized this is probably true.

1:10:37Um because some people will say, "Well,

1:10:38demons lie all the time." But, not

1:10:40always. Sometimes they're compelled to

1:10:42tell the truth.

1:10:43And he said,

1:10:45"I convince people." So, this is part of

1:10:49the cherubim. He's part of the cherubim,

1:10:50which is an intellectual function.

1:10:53He says, "I convince people." So, in us,

1:10:55it's an intellectual conviction that he

1:10:58can puts in our minds. I convince people

1:11:01that they cannot be separated

1:11:04from the particular good.

1:11:07Okay.

1:11:08That's ex- And so, I I I stood back and

1:11:11I said, "That's a whopper." Cuz he knew

1:11:14I knew the structure of sacrifice.

1:11:16The remember, in offertory, you have to

1:11:18be willing to be separated from the

1:11:20particular good in order to give it to

1:11:21God.

1:11:22And that means when he convinces people

1:11:25can't be separated from this thing.

1:11:27That's how he subverts the remainder

1:11:28part of the sacrifice where we're

1:11:30willing to die to ourself all the way to

1:11:32the end.

1:11:33And so, he knew that's So, I realized

1:11:35that's how he ended sacrifice.

1:11:38And then he just looks at me and says,

1:11:39"It's how I took out of an evil."

1:11:41It's how I'm taking your church out.

1:11:43It's how I took your government out.

1:11:45He said, "It's at the root of every sin

1:11:47and every defect that every human being

1:11:49has."

1:11:50And later he said, "It's the cause of

1:11:51mediocrity in every single human being."

1:11:54Which is absolutely true.

1:11:56Because in virtue, when we're striving

1:11:59for virtue, which is the greater good to

1:12:01perfect ourselves in some particular

1:12:02aspect, which is the greater good,

1:12:04we have to be willing to be separated

1:12:06from certain things. Just just take

1:12:08temperance. If I want to gain

1:12:10temperance, to do to master the virtue

1:12:12of fasting, for example, I have to be

1:12:15willing to put up aside the lesser good

1:12:17of the pleasure I get out of food in

1:12:19order to achieve this greater good.

1:12:21Makes sense.

Exorcism, Miracles & Demonic Influence

1:12:23>> When do they gain access to our minds?

1:12:26>> Uh we talk about the innocence of

1:12:29children and and and the pure love that

1:12:31they can give us.

1:12:33>> Yeah.

1:12:33>> And then

1:12:34at some point in time,

1:12:36everybody loses it.

1:12:37>> That's right.

1:12:39It's ultimately

1:12:41um

1:12:42when God allows it. So, in the spiritual

1:12:45warfare, there's kind of a

1:12:47misunderstanding. People have this idea

1:12:48that demons get you just to maraud and

1:12:50do whatever they want. When St.

1:12:52um Peter said, be

1:12:54be watch sober and watchful for the lion

1:12:58goes around seeking someone to devour.

1:13:00It doesn't mean he gets to hammer

1:13:02anybody he wants. It means he's

1:13:03constantly watching us. That's the going

1:13:05around. He's constantly watching to see

1:13:07where the weaknesses are and where he

1:13:09can take us out. And then he might test

1:13:11or probe. And if God lets him go in,

1:13:13then he goes in. But it's But it means

1:13:15that the spiritual warfare the entire

1:13:20battlefield is completely controlled by

1:13:22Christ. So even the demons can't do

1:13:25anything in relationship to us unless

1:13:26Christ gives them his permission. So

1:13:28Christ is the one who allows them access

1:13:31at certain points. And the reason he

1:13:32allows us access to us is to test us.

1:13:36Will you sacrifice for me?

1:13:37>> Is it through flaws in the world like

1:13:41pornography?

1:13:42>> Yeah, I mean kids are seeing pornography

1:13:43at eight. Age eight. Yeah, probably

1:13:46earlier.

1:13:47Yeah, that's it. And then he'll use

1:13:49those as means

1:13:49>> And that creates a

1:13:52a some type of a desire.

1:13:55>> That's right.

1:13:56A disordered desire for it.

1:13:58Yeah.

1:13:59Uh part of it also has to do with the

1:14:01fact that um

1:14:03demons can actually use that to inspire

1:14:05other people to expose other people or

1:14:07kids or something like that

1:14:08to to to to to to things that are evil.

1:14:10I've actually had a case where um the

1:14:13demons would drive people around this

1:14:14woman in order to victimize her. So they

1:14:17can actually That type of thing can

1:14:18happen. Um but it's not that common.

1:14:21Usually what they'll do is is they'll

1:14:22use other people to introduce bad things

1:14:25into the person's life. And then the

1:14:26person, because of fallen human nature,

1:14:29we have a proclivity towards like let's

1:14:31just take pornography. We have a

1:14:32proclivity towards what we call

1:14:34concupiscence, which is

1:14:36a desire for pleasure that's immoderate

1:14:38and disordered.

1:14:40And so um if we don't do things, and

1:14:42this is where parent parental formation

1:14:44in virtue um and getting them the

1:14:46sacraments and things like that aids the

1:14:48children in being faithful to that so

1:14:51that they can actually combat that

1:14:52particular aspect of our of our fall or

1:14:54original sin that we have kind of

1:14:56inherited as a result of that, um,

1:14:59then what the demons do is they can play

1:15:00on that disordered inclination that we

1:15:02have and then start just driving it.

1:15:05>> Do you think that successful exorcisms

1:15:08could be miracles? I mean, and the

1:15:12reason I ask is we we we talked about

1:15:14the last several weeks of my life and

1:15:16and some of the things that I've

1:15:17experienced here that I don't want to go

1:15:18into. Yeah, maybe maybe at another time,

1:15:20but you know, with with with with what I

1:15:23did experience

1:15:25and how real it was in the end,

1:15:29no matter how terrifying it was,

1:15:33it only strengthened

1:15:35>> Yes.

1:15:35>> my

1:15:36faith in Christ and God and the Holy

1:15:38Spirit immensely.

1:15:40>> Yeah.

1:15:40>> immensely.

1:15:42>> One of the things that you learn as an

1:15:44exorcist is what Christ said, you, you

1:15:46know, he said count he's going to say to

1:15:48the apostles, count yourself as useless

1:15:50instruments.

1:15:51When you're as an exorcist, you can pray

1:15:53and pray and pray until the cows come

1:15:54home, but if Christ doesn't do step in

1:15:56and actually cause liberation, nothing

1:15:58happens.

1:15:59Demons I have actually said to me, he

1:16:00says, you can't make me do anything,

1:16:02which is actually true. As a human

1:16:03being, I can't make any demon do

1:16:04anything.

1:16:05But then I have my retort to them is,

1:16:07but he can.

1:16:08And so he uses us as instruments

1:16:11to basically afflict the demon, to

1:16:13punish him to a certain point, and then

1:16:14it's at that point that Christ steps in

1:16:16and Christ causes the liberation. So one

1:16:18time I was asked in a public venue, it

1:16:20was, how many people have you liberated?

1:16:22And I said, none.

1:16:23But I've been in the presence

1:16:25of liberations where Christ and I've,

1:16:27you know, done my work as an exorcist,

1:16:29and then Christ is the one who

1:16:30liberates.

1:16:32And so, um, that liberation is both an

1:16:35act of mercy,

1:16:36but also one of the things that people

1:16:39very often don't quite understand about

1:16:41this thing, you know, possession is the

1:16:42worst thing. Actually, possession is not

1:16:44the worst thing.

1:16:45The worst thing is sin, mortal sin

1:16:48specifically, where you've committed

1:16:49such a grave sin that you're under the

1:16:50power of the demons from your from from

1:16:52[snorts] a legal point of view. Whereas,

1:16:54possession is not necessarily the worst

1:16:56thing. In fact, possession, especially

1:16:58when it when the if it kind of protracts

1:17:00for any length of time,

1:17:01it actually the people become holier

1:17:03through the battle, through the

1:17:04struggle. You know, it's like a guy who

1:17:06goes off to You know, there's a big

1:17:08difference between a soldier who's never

1:17:09seen combat and one who has. And so,

1:17:11this is the and the and the whereas the

1:17:13guy who's seen the combat, he's much

1:17:15more fashioned, much more honed than the

1:17:17guy that maybe went through a lot of

1:17:18good training and could be could be a

1:17:20good good soldier, but he just didn't

1:17:21have that opportunity. Well, it's the

1:17:23same thing here. When people go through

1:17:25just a brutal battle and that type of

1:17:27thing, the amount of sacrifice and

1:17:29self-denial and everything that they

1:17:30have to go through and the virtue that

1:17:33they have to achieve in order to conquer

1:17:34this thing is uh quite admirable.

1:17:40>> Do angels have access to our mind? They

1:17:43do. God permitting.

1:17:45What does that look like?

1:17:47>> So, the angels can do actually two

1:17:51things in relationship to us.

1:17:53The first is um they can put an image in

1:17:57our imagination and even put a

1:17:58perspective on that image, just as the

1:18:01demons can do the same thing. So, the

1:18:03demons can not only just put an image in

1:18:05your imagination cuz we get these get

1:18:06thoughts, where did this come from,

1:18:08right? But, they can even put a

1:18:09perspective on like this would be really

1:18:11good, right? And this is why sometimes

1:18:13people will come to me like normal men,

1:18:15normal heterosexual men, will come to me

1:18:18and they'll say, "I had this

1:18:20bizarre experience where I was in this

1:18:22situation and I had this thought of

1:18:24pedophilia." And I had this kind of

1:18:26inclination to do this. And I'll say,

1:18:27"That's not your That's not your That's

1:18:29not your junk." Right? That's not you.

1:18:31Demons can make anything look appealing.

1:18:35One exorcist contacted me recently cuz

1:18:37he had kind of gone through that type of

1:18:39thing. He was working with this one

1:18:40woman who by any stretch of the

1:18:42imagination was not good looking

1:18:43whatsoever.

1:18:44But when she walked in the door during

1:18:46one of the sessions, the demon skewed

1:18:48his perceptions and his

1:18:51relationship to it. And he said he

1:18:53looked at her and he

1:18:54felt this inclination that she's just

1:18:56beautiful.

1:18:57And then he realized intellectually he

1:18:59was like, "That ain't true." And so he

1:19:01just stopped, did some prayers, broke

1:19:02it, and then when he looked at her

1:19:04again, he says, "Ugly as sin." Right?

1:19:06So, the point being is is they can get

1:19:08that perception

1:19:10perspective. The angels can also do the

1:19:12same thing because perceptions

1:19:16uh are either in congruity with reality

1:19:19or they're not. For example, let's just

1:19:21take transgenderism.

1:19:23People's perceptions about who they are

1:19:25may or may not be if you're, you know,

1:19:27if you're normal heterosexual male, I

1:19:28say, "Hey, I'm a male and this is the my

1:19:30Well, then my perceptions are in

1:19:31congruity with reality." But if I'm some

1:19:33dude who thinks he's a woman, your

1:19:35perceptions are in congruity with

1:19:36reality. And so demons are constantly

1:19:38trying to put perspectives on it that

1:19:40either exaggerate or skew or falsify

1:19:43your perception of reality, whereas the

1:19:45good angels can actually do the

1:19:47opposite. They can put perspectives on

1:19:49the imagination and then in and so that

1:19:52you get greater perception of this is

1:19:54the truth of the matter. This is the

1:19:55reality of it.

1:19:57So, one of the ways that you'll notice

1:19:58that is you'll get a bit of clarity in a

1:20:00situation. All of a sudden you'll see a

1:20:01perspective and you're like, "Okay,

1:20:02that's the that's how this is actually

1:20:05done."

1:20:06The one thing that angels can do which

1:20:08demons never do

1:20:10is the angels can vent. So, there's

1:20:12three parts of our intellect. We're not

1:20:13going to go into all three, but there's

1:20:14two parts that I want to talk about. The

1:20:15first is the brain. That's the image

1:20:17part.

1:20:18And they can put a perspective, they can

1:20:19affect that. But then there's a part of

1:20:21our intellect that's entirely

1:20:23immaterial. And the reason we know that,

1:20:25for example, is when we die,

1:20:28then people in heaven, And know, you

1:20:30hear about these with people who

1:20:31actually die and they they actually go

1:20:33through a judgment and they might see

1:20:34Christ and that type of thing. Their

1:20:36intellect is functioning independently

1:20:38of their body. So, we know there's a

1:20:40part of the intellect that's in part of

1:20:41that. There's also certain operations

1:20:43that we perform like the ability to

1:20:45self-reflect upon ourselves.

1:20:47That we know that there's a part of our

1:20:48intellect that's in purely immaterial

1:20:50that can function independently of

1:20:52matter. This is why animals, even apes,

1:20:54don't have that same kind of

1:20:56self-reflection. Even when they see

1:20:57themselves in the mirror, it's kind of a

1:20:59fascination to them because but that's

1:21:01all at the level of the material.

1:21:03But we're human beings, we have this.

1:21:04But but the angels can actually that

1:21:07immaterial part of us is has the ability

1:21:09to make judgments about things that

1:21:11something's right or true or that type

1:21:13of thing.

1:21:14How do we know that?

1:21:16We can have I'll give you an example.

1:21:19A guy, his wife, when he first gets

1:21:21married, his perspective on her is she's

1:21:24wonderful, she's lovely, I love her,

1:21:26she's just such a great wife, she's

1:21:27beautiful, etc. And his intellectual

1:21:30judgment is the same as that.

1:21:33But then, what can happen is is that

1:21:35over the course of the marriage bad

1:21:37things happen and so his perspective on

1:21:39her begins to change and then also does

1:21:41his judgment changes.

1:21:43But he can make a choice to change his

1:21:45judgment about that. Like if he starts

1:21:47thinking his wife is really bad and

1:21:49nasty,

1:21:50she may or may not be. He can start

1:21:52making a choice if you know what, I'm

1:21:53going to start I'm not going to judge

1:21:55her that she's that bad. I think she's

1:21:56ultimately a woman of goodwill. It's

1:21:58just that I'm suffering in relationship

1:22:00to it. That means I got to shore up

1:22:01stuff on my part so I can make a

1:22:02judgment or I can make a choice to start

1:22:05looking at her, judging her differently.

1:22:08So,

1:22:09that's one of the things. Okay, why is

1:22:10that important?

1:22:12Because angels can strengthen, it's

1:22:15called illumination, they can illuminate

1:22:17the mind, that immaterial part, so that

1:22:20when we make that act of judgment, we

1:22:22see it with much greater clarity and

1:22:24strength and depth. And so they can

1:22:26enlighten our minds and so you can ask

1:22:28them, you know, give me good images, and

1:22:30then help me to see, help me to

1:22:32enlighten my mind in relationship to

1:22:33that.

1:22:35The fathers of the church actually say

1:22:37it was the angels who taught the Greeks

1:22:39philosophy, people like Aristotle and

1:22:41Plato, and that's why there's such a

1:22:42radical shift in their philosophy from

1:22:44the materialists to Plato and then to

1:22:46Aristotle.

1:22:49>> What rank structure of the angels

1:22:53is putting images and and clarity into

1:22:55our mind?

1:22:56>> Uh primarily those of the rank of angel,

1:22:59the various lowest.

1:23:00>> The guardian angel?

1:23:01>> The guardian angels.

1:23:02>> Archangels?

1:23:04>> Uh the archangels can at time. Uh they

1:23:06can also do it as well. It depends. Uh

1:23:09there are certain people,

1:23:11according to the fathers of the church,

1:23:12that their stature in life is so

1:23:14important that God intends for their

1:23:16particular life that he actually not

1:23:18only that he actually will assign um

1:23:20angels that are higher in the hierarchy

1:23:22uh cuz what rank or what how high in the

1:23:26hierarchy of angels your angel is is

1:23:27depend is directly proportional how

1:23:28important you're supposed to be in human

1:23:30history, they say.

1:23:32And so but there are certain people um

1:23:35that God will actually assign um a an

1:23:37archangel to to guard them at least

1:23:40while they're fulfilling that role. So

1:23:41like people in positions of political

1:23:43power are generally considered that.

1:23:45Priests, bishops, that's everything are

1:23:46given an uh guardian angel uh an

1:23:49archangel in order for relationship to

1:23:51that.

1:23:51If they put if they if there's a

1:23:53particular function that they're going

1:23:54to play in relationship to us as human

1:23:56beings that's extremely important, they

1:23:57come from the rank of archangel. So

1:23:59Gabriel, Michael, um Raphael were

1:24:02considered part of the archangel.

1:24:07>> Let's take a quick break.

1:24:11I'm excited to introduce to you the

1:24:13newest member of my family.

1:24:15We call him Stanley. We got Stanley this

1:24:18past Christmas, and pretty quickly my

1:24:20focus became making sure he was safe

1:24:23while still giving him the freedom to

1:24:24actually be a dog. I went looking for

1:24:27the top-rated GPS fence, the number one,

1:24:31and that's how I found SpotOn. Stanley

1:24:35wears their Nova collar. With SpotOn, I

1:24:38set up a GPS fence for Stanley right on

1:24:41my phone. No physical fence, no leash, I

1:24:44just walk my property line or draw it on

1:24:47the map, and that's the boundary the

1:24:49collar recognizes.

1:24:50I can create multiple fences, save them,

1:24:53and adjust them whenever I need to. So,

1:24:56whether we're at home or traveling,

1:24:58Stanley always knows where his

1:25:00boundaries are. Another thing that stood

1:25:02out to me is these collars are designed

1:25:04right here in the USA and assembled in

1:25:07New Hampshire by a team that's been

1:25:09working with high-precision GPS

1:25:11technology for years. And you can tell a

1:25:14lot of attention went into making this

1:25:16thing reliable. The Nova collar uses a

1:25:18dual-band GPS system connected to more

1:25:21than 150 satellites, along with an

1:25:24antenna that's over five times larger

1:25:26than typical GPS fence collars. That

1:25:29keeps the boundary accurate even around

1:25:32trees, terrain, and changing conditions.

1:25:35SpotOn's true location technology has

1:25:38been independently tested and delivers

1:25:4099.3%

1:25:42containment, which matters when you're

1:25:45trusting something with your dog's

1:25:47safety. It's incredibly durable, and on

1:25:49top of that, I can check his location in

1:25:52real time, send voice commands directly

1:25:54to the collar, and track his activity

1:25:58through the day. I use SpotOn so Stanley

1:26:01gets the freedom to run and explore, and

1:26:03I get the peace of mind knowing he's

1:26:06safe. Let your dog roam with SpotOn. Go

1:26:10to spotonfence.com/srs

1:26:13and use code srs for $50 off the Nova

1:26:16collar.

1:26:17That's spotonfence.com/srs

1:26:21and use code SRS for $50 off.

Why Christianity Is Under Attack

1:26:27>> All right, Father Rupnik, we got a we

1:26:28got a hot question for you.

1:26:30>> Okay.

1:26:31>> So,

1:26:33I want to understand

1:26:35why is Christianity the only religion in

1:26:38the world

1:26:40that is acceptable to disparage?

1:26:44>> [snorts]

1:26:44>> Well,

1:26:45Satan is the prince of this world, and

1:26:47it's pretty clear, at least at least it

1:26:49seems to me, but it's pretty clear, I

1:26:50think, to a lot of people that um Satan

1:26:53and the demons are gaining much greater

1:26:55ascendancy over the world, and as they

1:26:57influence the world more and more,

1:26:59they will use people, and they will

1:27:02um use the things of this world in order

1:27:04to go after the one religion that they

1:27:07know is true.

1:27:09I often tell people that um you know, in

1:27:12heaven,

1:27:13the the demons actually, because the

1:27:16fact that Christ was going to be coming

1:27:18incarnate, and they actually watched

1:27:20Christ preach revelation. They know it

1:27:23perfectly. And so, as a result of that,

1:27:25and they know that he that he was the

1:27:26Messiah that was about to come, that he

1:27:28was going to be the one that was

1:27:29incarnate. So, they know, not from faith

1:27:31anymore, cuz they lost their faith, but

1:27:32they know just by deductive reason that

1:27:35this is the true religion.

1:27:38All other religions do have human beings

1:27:41who started them. Whereas Christ, who's

1:27:44God, is the only one who started this

1:27:45religion, and they saw it. And so, they

1:27:47know the rest of the other religions

1:27:48don't uh don't wash. And so,

1:27:52you can, you know, they'll be as they

1:27:54gain as the demons gain greater and

1:27:56greater control of the world, and as

1:27:57evil becomes more and more in place,

1:27:59there's two di- two uh factors that come

1:28:03into play. The first is the demons move

1:28:05people to punish the Christians, which

1:28:07we saw in administrations even in this

1:28:09country, where they were going after the

1:28:11Christians. And then you'd look at these

1:28:12people and you can tell these people

1:28:13were not living good lives that were

1:28:14persecuting the Christians. So, the

1:28:16demons will inspire the people to go

1:28:18after the Christians. We also see this

1:28:20in relationship to

1:28:22uh you know, certain religions that are

1:28:24attacking the Christians in different

1:28:25countries and that type of thing. So,

1:28:26you see that.

1:28:28The other part of the dynamic has to do

1:28:30with

1:28:31the fact that St. Thomas talks about it

1:28:34in in a question in the Summa, but

1:28:36there's a structure to how human beings

1:28:38go from

1:28:39pursuing and seeing the good to actually

1:28:41pursuing things that are evil. And it it

1:28:44basically go it's a process in which we

1:28:47have natural inclinations to things that

1:28:48are good. And so, for example, he says

1:28:50he gives the example, a guy recognizes

1:28:52that fornication is immoral, right? So,

1:28:54he recognizes that. But then Bessie Sue

1:28:56walks in and she's just gorgeous. And

1:28:59so, he ends up falling with Bessie Sue

1:29:00and he St. Thomas says he thinks that

1:29:02it's, you know, he kind of gives in like

1:29:04it's okay in this one instance.

1:29:06And then

1:29:07but that he keeps hanging around Bessie

1:29:09Sue, so he keeps falling with her and

1:29:10eventually he starts thinking that well,

1:29:12fornication isn't wrong.

1:29:14You know? And then as he keeps

1:29:16fornicating, then what he actually

1:29:18thinks is that well, no, fornication's

1:29:19actually a good thing.

1:29:21And then what happens next?

1:29:23Well, people who tell me fornication's a

1:29:25bad, they're evil people because I know

1:29:27fornication's good. That is the exact

1:29:29progression we actually saw in this

1:29:30country.

1:29:31The greatest generation knew that

1:29:33fornication was immoral, but they

1:29:34started fornicating behind the scenes

1:29:36and that's where fornication really

1:29:37started. And how do we know? Because

1:29:39when the hippie generation started the

1:29:40fornication openly, they didn't stop

1:29:42them because hey, well, can't tell me

1:29:44did that because we did it, right?

1:29:47So, it goes from no, they can't do it,

1:29:49but they fell from time to time to okay,

1:29:50now they were openly doing it. Then by

1:29:52the time you get to the '80s and '90s,

1:29:54you should live with your girlfriend

1:29:55before you get married. And which is a

1:29:57good thing, right? Cuz you should

1:29:58fornicate find out if it's going to

1:29:59work. And then what's the last thing?

1:30:01Now you have people who when you say,

1:30:02"Hey, you need to be chased. Guys need

1:30:04to stop doing this." They said, "They

1:30:06get attacked."

1:30:08And so, in addition to the demons

1:30:10driving this, now you have people whose

1:30:12lives are so disordered that what they

1:30:15see as good is bad, and what is actually

1:30:17they see as bad is actually good. And

1:30:19so, they see, and this is why we

1:30:21actually see Christ mentioned as He

1:30:24says, "There will come a time when they

1:30:25will actually believe that by

1:30:28eradicating the people who follow him,

1:30:30eradicating they're actually doing the

1:30:32will of God."

1:30:34>> I mean, it's it's it's it's it's

1:30:36interesting, you know, I mean, I think

1:30:38all religions have been persecuted at

1:30:40one point or another through time.

1:30:42>> Yeah.

1:30:42>> If you if you if you talk bad about

1:30:45Islam, you're a bigot.

1:30:47>> Right.

1:30:48>> I mean,

1:30:49that's the same with multiple religions.

1:30:51If you talk about Judaism, you'll be

1:30:52ostracized from

1:30:54it

1:30:55everything.

1:30:56>> That's right.

1:30:56>> it it is the it is it is the ultimate

1:30:59no-no. Correct.

1:31:01And I don't I I don't understand I mean,

1:31:05why are Christians

1:31:09accepting this?

1:31:12You know, in all the other religions you

1:31:14know, you you see you see this righteous

1:31:16anger.

1:31:17>> That's right.

1:31:18>> You know, if if if if their religion or

1:31:21their people are disparaged.

1:31:23>> Right.

1:31:23>> With Christianity,

1:31:25and I'm guilty of it, too. We we we we

1:31:28let it

1:31:29we let it slide.

1:31:31Why is that?

1:31:32>> I think we let it slide because we're

1:31:34conditioned. Yes, I think that's it.

1:31:37We're conditioned to actually believe

1:31:39that when Christ said, "Turn the other

1:31:40cheek," that we just let people get away

1:31:42with whatever they want.

1:31:44And that's not actually the case.

1:31:46You Basically, when he said return the

1:31:48other cheek, um or you know, you have to

1:31:50forgive even those who do the bad things

1:31:51and give you Yeah, you have to forgive

1:31:53them.

1:31:54But that doesn't mean that you extend

1:31:55the effects of that forgiveness to them.

1:31:58Because that might be bad for them, St.

1:32:00Thomas says.

1:32:02And so, for example, he says, you know,

1:32:04um you know, you should have charity,

1:32:05you should have love of God and love of

1:32:07neighbor for the sake of God for

1:32:08everybody. But that doesn't mean that

1:32:11I'm going to necessarily show the

1:32:12effects of that love to somebody because

1:32:14then it would confirm them in their sin

1:32:15and it's actually going to be bad for

1:32:17them. And so, what's happened is is

1:32:19Christians have gone to excess and just

1:32:20thinking, oh, you know, we just have to

1:32:22let people walk all over us, and that's

1:32:23not what Christ was saying.

1:32:25In fact, we have an obligation to

1:32:28uh to fight for and to protect the glory

1:32:31of Christ himself, Christ the King. We

1:32:33have an obligation to fight for him. And

1:32:35the fact that we actually don't do that

1:32:36is based upon this kind of this

1:32:37effeminate unwillingness to battle

1:32:40because we think it's it's it's, you

1:32:41know, we're just being charitable or

1:32:43we're just being we're trying to be

1:32:44Christian and be merciful. Look, it's

1:32:46sometimes being merciful to somebody is

1:32:48actually bad for them.

1:32:50And so, we have to we have God is going

1:32:53to be merciful when we meet those

1:32:55conditions, always.

1:32:56But in relationship to us as human

1:32:58beings, we can't extend the

1:32:59mercy to people if they're doing evil

1:33:02and harm and offending God.

1:33:04I mean, we

1:33:07>> Do you think this is just going to

1:33:08continue to get worse?

1:33:10>> I do.

1:33:13>> What can people do? I mean,

1:33:15in in your in your mind or your idea,

1:33:18what what how do Christians, you know,

1:33:20defend their faith? I mean, it's been

1:33:22it's been it's being ripped out of

1:33:24government. It's this country was

1:33:26founded on Christianity. It's it's it's

1:33:27being ripped out of schools. Many people

1:33:30are offended if you even bring it up in

1:33:32school. However, you know, all these

1:33:34other ideologies, you know, we we we're

1:33:36we're forced to comply with LGBTQ,

1:33:40>> Right.

1:33:41>> Islam, Judaism, all of them all of them.

1:33:44They're all accepted except

1:33:46Christianity.

1:33:48>> I think there's two things. The first

1:33:49thing is is that a lot of Christians

1:33:50don't know their faith well.

1:33:52And so, a lot of times they get mocked

1:33:53up and a lot of times they don't they

1:33:55don't fight. Or if they do fight, they

1:33:57fight badly cuz they don't know what

1:33:58they're doing. They don't They don't

1:33:59know how to disarm these people. I'm

1:34:01thinking of a particular bishop in his

1:34:03interview with Ben Shapiro. I'm like,

1:34:04man, that was a missed opportunity cuz

1:34:06he really could have set the record

1:34:08straight on a few things. So, in

1:34:10addition to they have to know what

1:34:12they're talking about and have to know

1:34:13this stuff.

1:34:14Um they also have to know the other

1:34:15religions to know where they're wrong

1:34:17but then and then to be able to see

1:34:18this. And also these other ideologies,

1:34:20have to know why these things are

1:34:21actually bad.

1:34:23But then the second part of this is they

1:34:24just have to man up. You know, they just

1:34:26basically have to say, "Okay, look it,

1:34:28you know, there's two things that I

1:34:30think that people have to do in

1:34:31relationship to that is they have to be

1:34:32willing to suffer other people's, you

1:34:34know, chaffing at them and etc." It

1:34:36reminds me of the allegory of the cave

1:34:38in Plato where the people in in the cave

1:34:41see these projections and think that's

1:34:43reality and that's not even reality.

1:34:44Reality is outside. So, the guy tried to

1:34:46drag him outside and they're chaffing

1:34:47with him the whole way they're dragging

1:34:48him outside. And even if they get

1:34:50outside and they see the truth, they

1:34:51want to go back to this, right? It's the

1:34:53same kind of a thing that you see here.

1:34:54They're going to chaff you. So, you just

1:34:56have to stay the course and be willing

1:34:57to tell the truth.

1:34:59The second thing is is we have to be

1:35:00willing to wield the axe. And by that I

1:35:03mean we have to be willing to clear the

1:35:04deck.

1:35:05We have to start telling people, "Oh,

1:35:06I'm offended by that. I I don't care."

1:35:09I'm more concerned that you know the

1:35:11truth than your emotions are hurt. We

1:35:13have to stop allowing people to follow

1:35:15their emotions. We have to stop

1:35:16following our own emotions in

1:35:18relationship. We have to be follow be

1:35:19willing to follow reason. Now, it

1:35:21doesn't mean you go around just being

1:35:22obnoxious.

1:35:23But it means that we have to be willing

1:35:25to fight with people. And if they just

1:35:26say, "Well, I'm offended." Well, uh you

1:35:28know,

1:35:30tough. That's just life. That's just

1:35:32reality. If you want to know the truth

1:35:34and you're willing to follow the truth.

1:35:35And the other side of it is is that that

1:35:37is is the hypocrisy of it all. We have

1:35:39to recognize that when we give in to

1:35:40these people, we're giving in to their

1:35:42hypocrisy. Because these people say,

1:35:44"Well, you're offensive to me. What you

1:35:46believe is offensive to me." Well, so is

1:35:48what you believe is offensive to me and

1:35:50I think it's offensive to God. So, the

1:35:52the we just have to say, "Okay, well

1:35:54then what we have to do is we have to be

1:35:55willing to fight the truth, fight for

1:35:57the truth, be willing to take the take

1:35:59the beating for it in order to actually

1:36:01achieve what's um

1:36:03to in order to clear the deck. Now,

1:36:04there's one reason why I tell people

1:36:06they have to be willing to do this.

1:36:08Have you ever noticed that nobody will

1:36:11talk about something, nobody will say

1:36:12anything until one guy

1:36:15gets up there and says, "This is a bunch

1:36:17of bunk and here's why."

1:36:19>> He makes it safe for everybody else.

1:36:21>> Yes, he he breaks the ice. I know a

1:36:23couple guys like that.

1:36:24>> Yeah, yeah.

1:36:26>> [laughter]

1:36:26>> But it breaks the ice and then from

1:36:29there

1:36:30it becomes a legitimate topic of

1:36:32discussion and people can actually start

1:36:33talking about it. But that's what we

1:36:35have to be willing to do. We have to be

1:36:36willing to break the ice or we'll do

1:36:38action relationship to this because it's

1:36:40once the truth gets out there, then it

1:36:43starts dispelling the darkness and

1:36:44people start seeing and people of that

1:36:46are normally of goodwill will start

1:36:48signing off to it and say, "Yeah, I

1:36:49actually believe that." I mean, we

1:36:51actually see this even, you know, just

1:36:52recently, even just politically. You

1:36:53were never allowed to talk or mention

1:36:55Christianity or whatsoever, but now once

1:36:57it's start to talk about it, now a lot

1:36:58of people are talking about it. So, it's

1:36:59that one guy's got to break the ice and

1:37:02so people have to be willing to be that

1:37:03one guy. But

1:37:05I tell guys, you may or may not be that

1:37:07guy. You have to make sure, A, that you

1:37:09have the virtue to do it to sustain the

1:37:11beating and you also have to be the guy

1:37:13that knows what he's talking about and

1:37:15don't presume you know, you got to

1:37:16really know.

1:37:18>> I appreciate that.

1:37:19>> Yeah. So,

1:37:20>> you're willing to find the truth and

1:37:22follow the truth and you should be

1:37:23willing to defend the truth.

1:37:25>> That's right.

1:37:25>> Break the ice no matter what the

1:37:27consequences.

1:37:28>> That's right.

1:37:28>> Personal cost. To go back to one of the

1:37:32points is you know, you have to be

1:37:32willing to be separated from the lesser

1:37:34good in order to pursue the greater

1:37:36good.

1:37:37Guys have to be willing to be to take

1:37:39the beating, to be separated from the

1:37:41the comfort and the adulation of other

1:37:43people. They have to be willing to be

1:37:44separated from that in order to pursue

1:37:47the good regardless of the personal

1:37:48cost, which is the greater good.

How Angels Communicate

1:37:51>> Can we communicate with angels?

1:37:53>> Yes, we can.

1:37:55>> How would we do that?

1:37:57>> So,

1:37:59I think before I answer that, let me

1:38:00answer how actual angels communicate

1:38:03with amongst themselves. So, the

1:38:05basically the way it works is because

1:38:07they don't have bodies. So, we

1:38:08communicate because I think it's

1:38:10something I make a set of sounds and

1:38:11then you hear the sounds and then you

1:38:12interpret it based upon that. So, it's

1:38:14it's a kind of communication.

1:38:17But because they don't have bodies, that

1:38:19means that their communication is purely

1:38:22intellectual. So, it's a kind of a

1:38:24telepathy. And so, the way that that

1:38:26works is one angel thinks of the other

1:38:28angel and thinks to self, I want to

1:38:30communicate with that

1:38:31with that particular angel. Now, if you

1:38:33remember what I was saying earlier,

1:38:35God infuses the particular things as

1:38:37they're happening in the minds of the

1:38:39angels as they're happening. And so, the

1:38:42angel that's infused in the names of the

1:38:44other angel's mind,

1:38:45angel so-and-so wants to communicate

1:38:47with you.

1:38:48Then if his just like with us, we can

1:38:50either listen to somebody or not, he can

1:38:52if he moves he uses his will to turn

1:38:54towards that angel in his mind, then

1:38:58then they then all that angel has to do

1:38:59is start then he can start communicating

1:39:01what he wants to directly with them.

1:39:04Okay. So, that basically means that they

1:39:06can use their mind to communicate with

1:39:07them.

1:39:09That's not any different from the very

1:39:10nature of prayer. In fact, with the

1:39:12definition of prayer is lifting the mind

1:39:14and heart to God. So, we're actually

1:39:15we're directing our mind to him. And

1:39:18then when we do that and then through

1:39:19our prayer that we we communicate with

1:39:21him what we want, then when we do that,

1:39:23so obviously God knows all our thoughts

1:39:25anyway, but that's how we actually

1:39:27communicate with with God is just by

1:39:30directing our thoughts to him directly

1:39:32and and communicating him with our

1:39:34thoughts. We can do it verbally as well.

1:39:37>> Is verbally stronger than

1:39:39thought?

1:39:40>> Uh yeah, it it is in the sense that it's

1:39:42it's better for us and so as tends to

1:39:45it doesn't mean that God doesn't listen

1:39:46to the mental prayers or even if you're

1:39:48talking to the um,

1:39:50to the angels.

1:39:52>> I mean, did you I'm sorry, did you just

1:39:53say God does not listen to mental

1:39:55prayers?

1:39:55>> No, he does.

1:39:56>> He does.

1:39:57>> He listens to them. But a lot of times

1:39:59the the vote when we vocalize it, it

1:40:02helps our faculties become more focused

1:40:03and it's a stronger prayer as a result.

1:40:05And so that's why a lot of times there's

1:40:07also certain kinds of prayers he just

1:40:09what wants done vocally anyway. So,

1:40:12and because he made us as human beings

1:40:14and made us with the ability to

1:40:15communicate in that fashion, he also

1:40:17wants us to do that from time to time.

1:40:19On the other hand, there's also certain

1:40:20kinds of prayer that you want to be

1:40:21entirely mental. Okay.

1:40:24With the angels,

1:40:26then what we do is we it's the same kind

1:40:28of a mechanism that they have. It's just

1:40:31that we they

1:40:32under certain circumstances they're all

1:40:34permitted to communicate directly to us

1:40:36so that we hear their thoughts, but

1:40:37that's extremely rare.

1:40:39But if we direct our thoughts to them,

1:40:42the same mechanism occurs.

1:40:44So, what if I direct my thoughts say to

1:40:46my guardian angel and ask him to do

1:40:49something. In fact, I can tell a story

1:40:50behind that. Um, but there if I tell my

1:40:53guardian or if I

1:40:55mentally think of my guardian angel and

1:40:57and tell him how I want you to do X, Y,

1:40:58or Z,

1:41:00then it's the same mechanism it was with

1:41:02the angels. That's infused in his mind

1:41:03that I want to talk to him and then if

1:41:05you when he turns his mind to me, he

1:41:06hears my thoughts.

1:41:09Otherwise, he get he can't get access to

1:41:10my thoughts. He can cause things in me,

1:41:13but he can't read them. He can't know

1:41:15what I'm thinking unless

1:41:17um, either he's causing it or uh, he can

1:41:20kind of decipher it and he's probably

1:41:21thinking about X like you can with your

1:41:23wife, you know, you can figure out what

1:41:24she's thinking just by what how she's

1:41:26reacting.

1:41:27Um, but the but they they actually they

1:41:30can hear our thoughts in that actual

1:41:32process.

1:41:33So, to give give example, uh, I had a

1:41:36case where the woman was possessed. I

1:41:38was in a airport. I was just about just

1:41:41about to get onto the plane. I was in

1:41:43line to

1:41:44at the gate and the

1:41:46the woman I was working with calls me

1:41:48and she was possessed and she calls me

1:41:51and she says, "Hey, I'm pinned and I

1:41:53can't move." And so which they had done

1:41:56to her before.

1:41:58And then she hands the phone to the

1:41:59assistants cuz anytime I do a

1:42:01session there's always lay assistants

1:42:03that are present. And they said, "Yeah."

1:42:05They took the phone. They said, "Yeah,

1:42:06we can't budge her. We can't move her."

1:42:07And I'm like, "Well, I'm I'm standing

1:42:08I'm I'm literally handing the

1:42:10the stewardess or whatever the gate

1:42:12woman my

1:42:13boarding pass. So I just said, "Well, I

1:42:15can't do it now. My flight's only about

1:42:17an hour. I'll call you in about an

1:42:18hour." And so then I hung up. And then I

1:42:22just mentally said to the guardian angel

1:42:24of my priesthood, "Go and take Go and

1:42:27help her."

1:42:28And then I just got onto the plane. An

1:42:30hour flight later, I get off the plane

1:42:32and then

1:42:33um

1:42:34I call her back and I said, "Are you

1:42:36know, you're still pinned?" She says,

1:42:37"Yes, I'm still pinned." So then I just

1:42:38said a couple of binding prayers. Boom,

1:42:40the demon let loose for her right away

1:42:41and then she just hangs up on me.

1:42:44And she says, "I got to go." She hangs

1:42:45up.

1:42:46About 5 minutes later, she calls back

1:42:48and she says, "Well, the reason I hung

1:42:50up is cuz I hadn't been in the bathroom

1:42:51in 5 hours."

1:42:53I'm like, "Okay, that's fair enough."

1:42:55And then she said, "And by the way, did

1:42:57you send the guardian angel of your

1:42:58priesthood to me?" And I said, "Yeah,

1:43:00how did you know?" He said, "He appeared

1:43:01to me and held my hand during this whole

1:43:03episode."

1:43:05So the fact that I was able to mentally

1:43:07communicate that with my guardian angel

1:43:09is an indicator that they can hear our

1:43:11thoughts.

1:43:12And so we can start we can ask them.

1:43:14The way that our guardian angels work is

1:43:16their involvement in our life is based

1:43:18on two things.

1:43:20One,

1:43:21um what God tells them to do. Hey, you

1:43:23need to do this, this, this, or this. Or

1:43:25I don't want you to protect them under

1:43:27this circumstance cuz I want them to go

1:43:28through this test or I want them to

1:43:30suffer this for the sake of their soul

1:43:32or whatever the case is. So, that he God

1:43:34communicates that to them.

1:43:36But, the primary way that they get

1:43:37involved in our lives is by our asking

1:43:39them.

1:43:40So, the more we ask them

1:43:42and the more we

1:43:44invoke their

1:43:46intercession and working in our lives,

1:43:48the more they become involved. And so,

1:43:50sometimes people will say, "Well, my

1:43:51guardian angel doesn't do anything." I'm

1:43:53like, "Well, how much do you communicate

1:43:54with the guy?" So, if you communicate

1:43:55with him every single day, then you'll

1:43:57find that they'll be actually more

1:43:59involved in your life.

1:44:00Now, sometimes people will say, "Well,

1:44:02how do I know my guardian angel is even

1:44:04involved in my life?" And it's very

1:44:06simple.

1:44:08Because they love [clears throat] God

1:44:09and they seek his divine plan and

1:44:11relationship to us as human beings, they

1:44:13know that God's will is for us to live a

1:44:16normal life where we get to make free

1:44:18choices. That's what God wants for us.

1:44:21And that means that the guard when we

1:44:24our guardian angel is active, it means

1:44:27he's protecting us so that there's

1:44:28nothing trying to skew us or block us or

1:44:32do those things would cause our bad

1:44:34choices and so or causing problems or

1:44:37difficulties in our lives. That's how

1:44:38you actually know. So, in other words,

1:44:40it's the more natural our life seems,

1:44:43that's actually an indicator the more

1:44:44that the angels are actually involved.

1:44:47Sometimes we'll get we'll get indication

1:44:49like oh no, no, that was that was, you

1:44:50know, pretty my guardian angel had to be

1:44:51protecting me in that particular set of

1:44:53situations.

1:44:54But, that's not too common.

1:44:56But, whereas in the way we know that

1:44:58that that's how they work is the demons

1:45:00are the opposite.

1:45:01Everything they do is contrary to our

1:45:03nature. It tries to darken our

1:45:05intellect, make it harder for us to make

1:45:07good choices. They mess with everything

1:45:09in our lives. They try and mess

1:45:10everything up rather than just letting

1:45:12us live a normal life.

1:45:16>> Aging is inevitable. And if you're

1:45:18anything like me, you feel it a little

1:45:20more every year. Sore knees, tight

1:45:23joints, recovery takes longer than it

1:45:25used to.

1:45:27We can't stop the clock, but we can take

1:45:29care of ourselves. That's why I take

1:45:31Bub's Naturals collagen peptides. I mix

1:45:34it into my tea every morning. It blends

1:45:37right in. No taste, no gritty texture.

1:45:40It's simple. I've been using Bub's

1:45:42collagen for a long time and I genuinely

1:45:45notice the difference. My knees feel

1:45:47better, my skin looks better, I recover

1:45:49faster after workouts. I stick with

1:45:52Bub's because I trust the company. Their

1:45:54collagen is NSF certified for sport and

1:45:57sourced from grass-fed cattle. So, it's

1:46:00clean, tested, and exactly what they say

1:46:03it is. And there's a bigger mission

1:46:05here. Bub's was founded in honor of Navy

1:46:07SEAL Glenn Bub Doherty. And 10% of all

1:46:11profits go towards helping veterans

1:46:13transition back to civilian life. So,

1:46:15you're not just supporting your joints

1:46:17and recovery, you're supporting people

1:46:19who served this country. If you're ready

1:46:22to upgrade your daily routine with Bub's

1:46:34bubsnaturals.com/srs

1:46:36and use code Shawn for 20% off your

1:46:39order.

1:46:40Take care of your body. It's the only

1:46:42one you've got.

1:46:46Do you think most human beings can

1:46:47differentiate the the difference between

1:46:50between

1:46:52a communication [clears throat] from an

1:46:53angel and a demon?

1:46:55>> Um no.

1:46:58And the reason I say that is

1:47:00I think there's some things are pretty

1:47:01over and sometimes people know, okay,

1:47:02yeah, I think that was my guardian

1:47:04angel. I mean, I think that there's some

1:47:05on the more

1:47:06kind of extreme kind of levels.

1:47:09But I think that most people's even

1:47:10understanding of what is good and bad

1:47:12and how and how they angels even

1:47:15communicate with and how the demons are

1:47:16involved in our lives. There's so much

1:47:18confusion out there and so little

1:47:20understanding of this thing that

1:47:22people actually believe

1:47:25that, you know, oh, I have these amorous

1:47:26feelings for this person. It must be my

1:47:28guardian angel. No, demons can give you

1:47:30amorous feelings for people.

1:47:32So, you have to be careful about that.

1:47:34Whereas, the demons are never going to

1:47:36give you inclinations to want to love

1:47:38God more, to be more virtuous, and

1:47:40things like that. So, there are

1:47:41principles of discernment about how you

1:47:43can kind of sort these things out, but I

1:47:45don't think most people know them.

1:47:47>> I had a

1:47:50I think I had a encounter with an angel

1:47:53several years ago, and I think that's

1:47:55what honestly led me to Christ.

1:47:57>> Yeah.

1:47:57>> And it uh

1:48:00it is the

1:48:02only other time

1:48:04in my life where I really felt that

1:48:06there was a true battle for my soul

1:48:08happening in real time.

1:48:10>> Right.

1:48:10>> And

1:48:11uh

1:48:12it was in a very dark part of my life.

1:48:15>> Yeah.

1:48:15>> And I had basically come to the I I just

1:48:18I had this intuitive feeling in my heart

1:48:21that that

1:48:22I was I was uh transgenderism was really

1:48:25bothering me at the time, and

1:48:27a lot of other things that were going on

1:48:28in the world, and I felt like maybe I

1:48:29was

1:48:30one of the only people speaking out

1:48:32about it, and

1:48:33>> Right.

1:48:34>> [sighs]

1:48:34>> it was just running rampant through the

1:48:36country. And so, I had this internal

1:48:39battle in my in my in my head happening,

1:48:42and

1:48:44basically, it was me convincing myself

1:48:47that

1:48:49maybe I'm wrong here. You know, maybe

1:48:51maybe

1:48:52I I feel like I'm the only one speaking

1:48:54out against it. I I feel like

1:48:58maybe I should just surrender. What's

1:49:00the point? Why Why fight this? Why speak

1:49:03out against it? Why do any of that?

1:49:05Because because

1:49:08everybody appears to be for this. The

1:49:10celebrities that I that I

1:49:13>> Mhm.

1:49:15>> respected

1:49:16um

1:49:18started speaking out for it. People I

1:49:20never would have expected

1:49:22speaking out about uh

1:49:24drag shows in front of

1:49:27toddlers.

1:49:28>> Right.

1:49:29>> You know, and all these things. And

1:49:30these are people that I never would have

1:49:31expected to this. And then and then

1:49:33one week later after they announce that

1:49:36they're they're they're all for this,

1:49:37they get a massive TV show deal.

1:49:40>> Right.

1:49:41>> You know, and so I think I know what

1:49:43that is. But it it at the time

1:49:46I didn't see that deal. And so I I was I

1:49:48felt like I was surrendering my soul to

1:49:51evil. And and I was just like why even

1:49:55Who cares? Just give up.

1:49:57And

1:49:59I gotten to that point where I was

1:50:00almost there. We had walked into this

1:50:03Um my wife and I had walked into this

1:50:07place we were vacationing in Sedona,

1:50:09Arizona.

1:50:10And

1:50:12there was a We walked through the gate

1:50:13guards, you know, the There was armed

1:50:15guards or they were arming the property

1:50:17or they're guarding the property.

1:50:19And I'd seen I've been there for a week.

1:50:20I'd seen all these guys, a lot of them

1:50:22watch the show. They'd say hi, you know.

1:50:26And this was the last night I was there

1:50:28and I walked through the gate and

1:50:30there's this old older gentleman in

1:50:32there. I think he said he was a Air

1:50:34Force Vietnam vet or something.

1:50:37And he was started trying to talk to me.

1:50:39I didn't want to talk to him. I was Like

1:50:41I just told you, I was in a pretty dark

1:50:42place.

1:50:44And my wife stopped to talk to him.

1:50:46I had never seen this guy. Been there

1:50:48for a week. I know I pay attention to

1:50:50security

1:50:51cuz of my background. I'd never seen

1:50:53this guy at all, ever.

1:50:58And so I'm I'm I'm kind of posturing

1:51:01like I don't want to talk to him.

1:51:02Looking at him over my shoulder.

1:51:04>> Right now.

1:51:05>> My wife stops. I turn and I square up to

1:51:08him.

1:51:11He immediately read my mind from front

1:51:13to back.

1:51:15And he said,

1:51:17I only really remember the first thing

1:51:18that he said because

1:51:20it

1:51:21it scared me that he was inside my head.

1:51:24And he said, "You don't need to worry

1:51:27about all this trans transgenderism

1:51:30going on with the kids and and and and

1:51:32just humans in general. That's not your

1:51:35battle."

1:51:36And then he went on and he started

1:51:37talking about he said something about

1:51:40China cuz China was really in my head

1:51:42cuz that was when the spy balloons

1:51:43traversed the United States.

1:51:44>> Right.

1:51:45>> From Washington to Florida or South

1:51:47Carolina, wherever. And and and he

1:51:49started going into that. And and I just

1:51:51looked at this guy in the eyes and I was

1:51:53like,

1:51:56"Yeah, how are you inside of my head?"

1:52:00And then a whole series of of other

1:52:01events happened within minutes right

1:52:03after that. And that's that's basically

1:52:05what what saved my soul and brought me

1:52:08brought me to Christ.

1:52:09>> Right.

1:52:09>> And

1:52:11>> [clears throat]

1:52:13>> so what I want to ask you, is there a

1:52:14possibility that that was

1:52:16that was my guardian angel or maybe an

1:52:18archangel?

1:52:20>> Yes, it can be, actually. Usually when

1:52:22you see those kinds of experiences which

1:52:24are not normally explained,

1:52:25one of the other things that you'll

1:52:26notice is you'll never be able to find

1:52:28that guy again.

1:52:29>> Nope.

1:52:29>> Nope. Yep. So, that's one of that That's

1:52:31actually one of the indicators. It's a

1:52:33It's very similar story

1:52:35um to a priest who the first pastor I

1:52:38was under,

1:52:39he had to go to uh anoint somebody in a

1:52:41building. And when he got there, this

1:52:436-ft big, burly police officer was there

1:52:46and said, "You can't go in there,

1:52:48Father."

1:52:49And he just says, "Why? How's I've got

1:52:51to anoint this?" No, you can't go in.

1:52:52Leave.

1:52:53And so, the priest walks around the

1:52:55corner

1:52:57and then says, "Now I got to go do it."

1:52:58So, he turns back around. That police

1:53:00officer was nowhere to be found.

1:53:03He asked the police department, they'd

1:53:04never had any of that guy on there. But

1:53:06while he had walked around the corner

1:53:08and came back, two people were shot in

1:53:10the building.

1:53:11So, that it's the same kind of a thing.

1:53:14They'll They sometimes intervene in such

1:53:16dramatic ways in order to correct our

1:53:18path so that we don't end up going down

1:53:20the wrong path.

1:53:22>> Why don't they do this more often? Why

1:53:24didn't they do this to the celebrity

1:53:27that I don't know?

1:53:29>> Well, part of it has to do with

1:53:31>> Or maybe they did.

1:53:32>> And maybe they did, yeah. I think some

1:53:34of it is also

1:53:36It's how much involvement

1:53:39do we want to get them in our lives? I

1:53:41mean, do they do they

1:53:43If the guardian angels appeared to them,

1:53:44would they even listen to them?

1:53:46>> [snorts]

1:53:47>> So, it's it's largely a matter of

1:53:49uh as I mentioned, there's certain

1:53:51things that God tells them they should

1:53:52do that the guardian angels what they

1:53:53need to do, but God's will for us is for

1:53:56us to get them involved in our lives.

1:54:03>> [snorts]

1:54:03>> You know, I've also heard that

1:54:07if you're in the presence of an angel,

1:54:09it's it's it's that terrifying would be

1:54:11the wrong word, but it is just over

1:54:14overpowering sensation that

1:54:17that no human being could fathom.

1:54:20Is there any truth to that?

1:54:22>> Yeah, there might be certain experiences

1:54:25of people historically that would

1:54:28account for those kinds of things.

1:54:31But, generally speaking, angels aren't

1:54:33that overt. And they tend to be um

1:54:37uh they tend to be much more subtle in

1:54:39their in our presence. I mean, your

1:54:40guardian angel is watching you all the

1:54:42time and just to keep watch over you and

1:54:45from time to time putting those thoughts

1:54:47in your mind and that type of thing to

1:54:48help guide you and that type of thing.

Stories of Angelic Intervention

1:54:49So, they have a lot of presence to us

1:54:51that's not going to be that dramatic.

1:54:54>> Do you have any other examples of

1:54:57human beings encountering angels? I

1:54:59mean, we we hear

1:55:01you know, miraculous things with with

1:55:02with with car wrecks and the cars been

1:55:04lifted off a body or that saved them or

1:55:08>> Yeah, I mean I've heard those kinds of

1:55:09stories too. Another story that priest

1:55:12friend of mine had a parishioner

1:55:14who

1:55:15she was very elderly and so there was a

1:55:19there was a woman who was like 17 who

1:55:21would take her to mass every day.

1:55:25But the 17-year-old didn't have her

1:55:26driver's license and then

1:55:2880-year-old woman did. But she was very

1:55:31elderly so they went to mass and when

1:55:32they came back out the elderly woman

1:55:34says I can't I just can't hardly move my

1:55:37arms. We're going to have to pray to

1:55:38Saint Raphael to to come and and to

1:55:41drive the car for us. So the older woman

1:55:44literally said a prayer to Saint

1:55:46Raphael. The next thing you know the car

1:55:48starts up turns and then goes all the

1:55:51way to

1:55:52to their house shuts off.

1:55:55There was

1:55:57I'll admit that when I was younger I was

1:55:59not the best kind of individual. So one

1:56:02time I got I got pretty schnockered.

1:56:05Right so

1:56:06>> see that.

1:56:07>> [laughter]

1:56:08>> So

1:56:09this was long before I got my act

1:56:11together but

1:56:12I got pretty schnockered [clears throat]

1:56:13and

1:56:14I was at this friend of mine's house

1:56:15which lived about 20 miles from where my

1:56:17parents lived.

1:56:19And

1:56:21I mean I was on the verge of blacking

1:56:23out got in my truck started driving

1:56:25home.

1:56:27Then I mean all I remember is getting in

1:56:30the truck and telling him that I'm going

1:56:31to be all right. I I start driving away.

1:56:34The next thing I remember is pulling

1:56:36into my house my parents house.

1:56:39I'm convinced that was my guardian angel

1:56:40cuz I I there's no way I mean I

1:56:43literally blacked out for that whole

1:56:45distance.

1:56:46>> Wow.

1:56:47>> Yeah, so they do I mean that tells you

1:56:51you know

1:56:52those of us who try to be good have had

1:56:54bad past sometimes too but you just have

1:56:56to make sure that you're you're trying

1:56:58to do everything you can to get the

1:56:59angels, your guardian angels especially,

1:57:02but all the angels too, involved in your

1:57:03life. And there's not just our own

1:57:05personal guardian angels, there's

1:57:07guardian angels of families, towns,

1:57:10countries,

1:57:12churches, those types of thing. And so

1:57:14um

1:57:14corporations of a certain size, there's

1:57:16just God created that a number of

1:57:18angels. And so you can also pray to the

1:57:20to the guardian angels of your children.

1:57:22Hey, make sure that Johnny and you know,

1:57:24tell Johnny not to do this, that, and

1:57:26the other thing. And that empowers them

1:57:27to actually be able to go and do that

1:57:28more more frequently.

1:57:30I mean I actually I have another example

1:57:32that just popped in my head. I've been

1:57:33several several years ago, over a decade

1:57:36ago, I had a suicide attempt.

1:57:39And uh same thing. I was hammered,

1:57:42blacked out, yeah, don't remember how I

1:57:44got home.

1:57:46And recline my seat I don't remember

1:57:48doing this. I recline my seat

1:57:50>> Mhm.

1:57:51>> in my garage with the car running.

1:57:54>> Mhm.

1:57:54>> Yeah.

1:57:58And when I woke up in the morning, I

1:58:00woke up in my room. My entire I lived in

1:58:02a in a town home.

1:58:04And my entire town home smelled like

1:58:07gasoline or some type of fuel.

1:58:12Woke up,

1:58:13ran downstairs,

1:58:15saw my pistol on the couch, a pistol

1:58:17that I never I don't carry every day.

1:58:20Uh so I think maybe there

1:58:23maybe there was two attempts. Or or or I

1:58:26was thinking about doing it twice.

1:58:27>> Right.

1:58:28>> Because I would have never accessed that

1:58:29pistol.

1:58:31Um especially at

1:58:333:00 or 4:00 in the morning when I've

1:58:35just tied on on.

1:58:36>> Right.

1:58:37>> I go out to my garage

1:58:39and

1:58:40the door handle was like

1:58:43a little bit like the door was a little

1:58:45hot to the touch and

1:58:48I thought, holy [ __ ] there's a fire in

1:58:49there or something. And I I w-

1:58:52opened the door, but before I opened the

1:58:55door

1:58:56I

1:58:59made the decision that if I open the

1:59:00door, I'm probably going to get blown to

1:59:02smithereens because all the fresh

1:59:04oxygen's going to rush in and

1:59:05>> Oh, yeah.

1:59:06>> blow me away. So, I made that I I

1:59:08uh three times.

1:59:10I think I made the decision uh to die,

1:59:13to kill myself.

1:59:15>> [clears throat]

1:59:15>> I went in the garage and I saw my Audi

1:59:18with the receipt with the seat reclined

1:59:20back.

1:59:22And

1:59:23the car was still running.

1:59:26And it was

1:59:27so hot in there that the gas tank

1:59:29melted.

1:59:31And the gas tank

1:59:33was leaking was It was a slow drip, but

1:59:35it was dripping

1:59:37fire out of the gas tank onto the

1:59:40exhaust muffler.

1:59:42>> Woah.

1:59:45Yeah, I shouldn't be here.

1:59:47>> Yeah.

1:59:48>> And that's just one example. Do you

1:59:49think

1:59:50that was a guardian angel? Was that God

1:59:52that intervened?

1:59:53>> Yeah. A lot of times they'll actually do

1:59:55that.

1:59:56So,

1:59:57um yeah, they'll do it.

2:00:00Uh speaking of cars, I had an experience

2:00:02once where I was driving uh I was

2:00:05driving my truck to go out to the

2:00:06seminary to teach a course. And there

2:00:09was a car here and one here and then I

2:00:12was behind it.

2:00:14And um

2:00:15an ambulance comes on the other side.

2:00:17So, this car right in the front just

2:00:18locks up the brakes and stops right in

2:00:20the middle to like a 40 mph zone just

2:00:21stops right in the middle.

2:00:23So, the guy in front of him manages just

2:00:26manages to stop before I get it. But by

2:00:28the time I hit the brakes, I I I'm I'm

2:00:30looking at the back of this guy's saying

2:00:32like, I am just going to plow into the

2:00:34back of this guy's truck, right? And

2:00:36[snorts] so, and I I had my hands on

2:00:38there.

2:00:39It was not me. Literally, all of a

2:00:40sudden the wheel just goes foom.

2:00:42I go right between these uh these uh

2:00:45posts. Go right between the posts and

2:00:48then I literally wiggle through so fast.

2:00:51It goes right between the posts, back

2:00:53down, around those two, and right back

2:00:55up onto the road, and I'm driving.

2:00:58I'm like,

2:00:59"Yeah, okay. This is I need hazardous

2:01:01duty pay." But the point being is is

2:01:03that I think that was my guardian angel.

2:01:05>> Wow. I mean,

2:01:06I I even have war experience. I mean,

2:01:08I've stepped on

2:01:09unexploded

2:01:11HE high explosive ordinance in

2:01:14Afghanistan.

2:01:15>> Yep.

2:01:15>> And that that is that that that that

2:01:17that stepped on it.

2:01:19>> Yep.

2:01:19>> a picture of it cuz I was like, "Holy

2:01:21[ __ ] I should be dead.

2:01:22>> Yep.

2:01:23>> I just stepped on UXO

2:01:25HEDP round.

2:01:27>> Yep.

2:01:27>> And and it didn't blow.

2:01:28>> Right.

2:01:28>> And there's example, my friend Eddie

2:01:30Penny. I mean, he had a a intuitive

2:01:33thought injected into his brain on a

2:01:35target in Afghanistan.

2:01:38>> Yep.

2:01:38>> Something told him I I I can't remember

2:01:40the exact story, but something told him

2:01:42don't go over there. 2 seconds later,

2:01:44the entire building is leveled.

2:01:46>> Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. In fact,

2:01:49there's so there's

2:01:50they can that's part of that the fact

2:01:52that they can put that kind of stuff

2:01:53into our imaginations.

2:01:55A lot of times we you know, we can talk

2:01:56about the fact that they actually can

2:01:58protect us

2:01:59um

2:02:00uh spiritually or

2:02:02protect us physically from these

2:02:03particular things that happen to us.

2:02:05They can also protect us spiritually by

2:02:08putting in our minds, you know, you

2:02:10really probably should avoid that

2:02:11particular person. I'm not suggesting

2:02:13that people should just be you know, I'm

2:02:15following their emotions and things like

2:02:16that, but the but the angels can

2:02:18actually

2:02:19protect us spiritually, you know, even

2:02:21sometimes from ourselves, protect us

2:02:22from the wrong kinds of people.

2:02:25The other thing that I find fascinating

2:02:26about the angels, which is something

2:02:28which I actually use from time to time,

2:02:31is um

2:02:33this this is based upon

2:02:35uh the the inversion. So, I'll tell tell

2:02:37the inversion of it and then talk about

2:02:39why they you know, the angels do it. So,

2:02:40demons can actually do this same

2:02:42mechanism.

2:02:43Which is

2:02:44because they can affect our imagination,

2:02:47they can the demons can actually block

2:02:50people by affecting their imagination

2:02:52from focusing on things

2:02:54that you would normally think that they

2:02:55would focus on. This is how like in our

2:02:58government, you can have people who are

2:03:00engaging in bad behavior for decades or

2:03:03even years, but just for decades, and

2:03:06nobody even pays hardly any attention to

2:03:08it. Like, why didn't anybody notice

2:03:09that? And that's because the demons can

2:03:11actually affect that. They said Hitler

2:03:14that had that he had this

2:03:16phenomenal ability

2:03:18to um at the very last second

2:03:23shift and change his schedule and just

2:03:28say, "Okay, I'm not going to you know I

2:03:29I

2:03:29know we're going to go over here." All

2:03:30of a sudden, boom, they would change it.

2:03:31There's a There was actually a a

2:03:33president here in the United States in

2:03:35recent past who said had the same

2:03:36phenomenon that he would just all of a

2:03:37sudden changes his um his schedule out

2:03:41of the blue, and then they would find

2:03:43out there was a an attempt on his life

2:03:44that was going to occur.

2:03:45>> Wow.

2:03:46>> So, but the demon So, the demons can

2:03:48actually influence people that way, too,

2:03:50but they can also block our ability to

2:03:53focus on stuff that you know, why hasn't

2:03:55anybody talked about this particular

2:03:57kind of fraud in the government when

2:03:58it's this rampant, you know, that type

2:04:01of thing. And

2:04:02um

2:04:03they So, they can actually do that.

2:04:05Well, the same kind of mechanism So,

2:04:06they can keep people hidden.

2:04:09And so, the same kind of mechanism they

2:04:11actual angels can do. So, one of the

2:04:13things I often recommend to people who

2:04:15are really trying to really forge the

2:04:17good and do a lot of good in the in the

2:04:19culture and that type of thing is

2:04:20ask either Our Lady to, you know, send

2:04:23her angels down, but ask your guardian

2:04:26angel or the angels to keep you hidden

2:04:28from the wrong kinds of people.

2:04:30And it has a phenomenally good effect.

2:04:33Because And it'll keep So, So will

2:04:35happen is the type And it's even a

2:04:37mechanism I teach sometimes I'll teach

2:04:40people who are run major corporations.

2:04:42And they'll complain to me that we just

2:04:44keep getting the wrong kinds of people

2:04:45and you know, they just they keep coming

2:04:46in and they cause all this damage. I

2:04:48said, well, ask the angels to keep your

2:04:50corporation hidden from them. But at the

2:04:52same time, ask them keep it known to the

2:04:54people that need to know. So they can

2:04:56actually affect other people to where

2:04:59they'd you know, and society you know,

2:05:01I'm going to go work for Shawn and then

2:05:02they come in and cause all this damage.

2:05:03You can actually keep those kinds of

2:05:04people

2:05:05away. Or or the types of people that you

2:05:08know, that

2:05:10could cause you harm or whatever the

2:05:11case is. Just ask our lady keep me

2:05:13hidden from them. I do it in

2:05:14relationship to certain people and just

2:05:16to keep me hidden so that I don't have

2:05:18this type and it's been our lady's been

2:05:20very good to that cuz but the angels are

2:05:23the ones that kind of execute that

2:05:24process.

2:05:28>> With summer travel, even learning a few

2:05:30real phrases can completely change the

2:05:33experience. You're not just pointing in

2:05:35a menu or hoping someone speaks English.

2:05:37You can order food, ask for directions,

2:05:40and actually connect with people a

2:05:41little more when you're there. That's

2:05:43why I like Babel. Me and the team have

2:05:45been using it for travel because it's

2:05:47built for real-life conversations, not

2:05:49just memorizing random vocabulary or

2:05:52staring at grammar charts. The lessons

2:05:54are quick, practical, and built by more

2:05:57than 200 language experts. So you're

2:05:59learning phrases you'll actually use.

2:06:01And even just 10 minutes a day with

2:06:03Babel can help you start having real

2:06:05conversations in as little as 3 weeks.

2:06:08They've got interactive dialogue,

2:06:10personalized reviews, and even podcasts.

2:06:13So you can work it into your day whether

2:06:15you're traveling, driving, or just

2:06:17trying to get a few minutes in before

2:06:19bed. Babel's award-winning app has sold

2:06:21over 25 million subscriptions and it's

2:06:25backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee.

2:06:28If you've got summer travel coming up,

2:06:30now's the time to start so you can

2:06:32actually use what you learn on the trip.

2:06:34Right now, Babbel is offering listeners

2:06:36up to 60% off. Go to babel.com/srs.

2:06:40That's Babbel, b a b b e l dot com slash

The Angelic Realm & Spiritual Battle

2:06:52>> Do we have any idea of what their realm

2:06:54looks like? I mean,

2:06:56th- th- they seem

2:06:57the majority I mean, almost all the time

2:07:00invisible to us. I mean,

2:07:02you know, so

2:07:05do we have any idea of what their realm,

2:07:06what their perspective of this realm

2:07:09looks like? And how do they

2:07:13How do they transfer realms? How do they

2:07:17Are they in another dimension that's

2:07:19coincides with this dimension? I mean,

2:07:21if you're driving down the road and you

2:07:22go

2:07:23your car goes off and an invisible thing

2:07:25throws your car back on the road. Are

2:07:27they Are they

2:07:30Are they

2:07:31>> Well, I I dimension

2:07:31>> transferring from one dimension to the

2:07:33other in a split second? I mean, how do

2:07:36What is it

2:07:36>> Yeah, that's actually a good question.

2:07:38They're not in another dimension cuz a

2:07:40dimension is a physical thing and

2:07:41they're not physical. They don't have

2:07:42bodies.

2:07:44They can actually move physical things

2:07:45just with their minds. You know, so it's

2:07:47it's a form of telekinesis type of thing

2:07:49but they they can have it. And so,

2:07:52in fact, it's actually there's a lot of

2:07:53theological speculation by certain

2:07:56theologians throughout history that

2:07:57originally Adam and Eve had the power of

2:07:59telekinesis and got restricted it to our

2:08:01bodies cuz when we make a choice, I can

2:08:03make a choice to think about something

2:08:05different and that means that I'm using

2:08:07my will, which is an immaterial thing,

2:08:08to move my body, right? So, we do have

2:08:11some ability to do that and they also

2:08:13think that uh um that the saints um have

2:08:17that capacity as well

2:08:20to to do that God permitting, okay? So,

2:08:22all that being said, but basically what

2:08:24it means is is that um because they

2:08:26don't have any bodies,

2:08:28but in their minds, they see all the

2:08:30stuff that's actually going on. Now,

2:08:31their experience of seeing sexy for us,

2:08:35physical things have a much stronger

2:08:37impression on us because we were that's

2:08:39the way God just kind of designed us.

2:08:41Whereas with the angels, when they think

2:08:44of a concept, it's far more intense of

2:08:47an experience than we get even of a

2:08:48physical thing. And so, they see those

2:08:51things with great clarity. And then

2:08:52their wills, they can actually move then

2:08:55if that if they want to affect us in

2:08:57some way and God permits it,

2:08:59just by their wills, they can actually

2:09:01move it. It's like a form of

2:09:02telekinesis, but they can just move it,

2:09:04God permitting. So, they can apply their

2:09:05will to actually move those particular

2:09:07things.

2:09:08>> Can they see our demons?

2:09:10>> Yes, they see everything that is going

2:09:13on in the spiritual world.

2:09:14>> Can the demons see them?

2:09:17>> Uh, yes, they can.

2:09:19>> Do they communicate?

2:09:21>> Uh, not usually. Although, once in a

2:09:23while, they will. Where do And it's

2:09:26usually, uh, a one-way form of

2:09:28communication. Where the the angels are

2:09:31telling the demons knock it off, or you

2:09:32can't do this, you can't do that. Cuz

2:09:34even if the other angels the other the

2:09:36lower angels know there's no point

2:09:37trying to communicate with them because

2:09:38there's they're not going to listen

2:09:39because they're they're following the

2:09:40will of God.

2:09:42The only time that that seems to be

2:09:44different is in cases that protract of

2:09:48possession.

2:09:50There's six stages of liberation. In

2:09:52stage with stage six is actually

2:09:54liberation. Stage five is called the

2:09:56ascendancy phase. And there's a part of

2:09:58that phase it's in four parts. And

2:10:01there's a there's a part of that phase

2:10:03called the saints phase.

2:10:05And basically, um, I'm sorry, the the

2:10:08there's a saints phase so that sometimes

2:10:10the saints will actually show up. I

2:10:11don't see them, but the person who's

2:10:12possessed sees the saints, etc. But then

2:10:14there's another part called the

2:10:16bargaining phase. And basically, that's

2:10:18just before the saint the for the saints

2:10:20phase. And the bargaining phase is the

2:10:23demons know they're losing. They're

2:10:25going to get They're That's they they've

2:10:26lost. And so from time to time the

2:10:29person who's possessed will actually see

2:10:31the interchange.

2:10:33Um and so it's uh

2:10:35um it's very similar to the uh kind of

2:10:38like the interchange that Pope Leo saw

2:10:41uh Satan approaching God and asking him,

2:10:44"Give me 100 years." Right? So, it's a

2:10:46bargaining kind of a thing. So, s- uh

2:10:49the the the demon will actually approach

2:10:52Christ because they know he's the guy

2:10:55that's got all the power. He said, "All

2:10:57power in heaven and earth is given to

2:10:58me." So, they know he's the guy. They

2:11:00can't do anything without asking him.

2:11:01So, they'll they'll actually go to him

2:11:03and ask, "Give me Give me this power.

2:11:05Give me this permission to do X, Y, and

2:11:07Z." And he most always says no, but the

2:11:10person who's possessed will see that

2:11:11interchange. So, that's about the only

2:11:14time that I've recognized that they'll

2:11:15communicate with, you know, either the

2:11:17saints or Christ or whatever the case

2:11:19is. That's when they communication goes

2:11:20that direction. But otherwise, they're

2:11:22it's a just a one-way communication.

2:11:25>> Okay.

2:11:26You know, I've never uh

2:11:29really realized the power of prayer

2:11:32until

2:11:34the last couple weeks when

2:11:36I did another episode on this, but we

2:11:38we've been talking about it all week by

2:11:40last psychedelic experience and I I said

2:11:42some of your deliverance prayers and had

2:11:45>> [sighs]

2:11:47>> intuitive experiences of demons leaving

2:11:49my body.

2:11:50>> Right.

2:11:51>> And some of the things we experienced

2:11:53yesterday here

2:11:55um

2:11:56were

2:11:57extremely [clears throat] profound.

2:11:59>> [sighs]

2:12:05>> What is the power of the rosary?

2:12:09>> Um well, historically, Saint Padre Pio

2:12:12used to refer to it as the weapon,

2:12:14especially in spiritual warfare.

2:12:16But it was basically the rosary was a

2:12:18sacramental that was given to a

2:12:20particular saint in order so that um

2:12:24that those who would pray the rosary,

2:12:26the that specific structure of prayer

2:12:29that God wanted people to start saying

2:12:30was given by Our Lady to a particular

2:12:32saint was given to them as a way of if

2:12:35you continually say this, then it's

2:12:37going to bring about the intention for

2:12:41which you're going to say the rosary.

2:12:42For example,

2:12:44the Battle of Lepanto. So the the the

2:12:46Turks are there and they're they're

2:12:47basically they're uh the the Christians,

2:12:50the Catholics are outnumbered

2:12:52significantly in Lepanto.

2:12:54And so um at a certain point, Pius V

2:12:58orders that every all of the Christians

2:13:00start praying the rosary for the

2:13:02intention of the Christians to um

2:13:04conquer the Turks. And you have to

2:13:06remember it was like I I I I it was like

2:13:0810 or 20 to 1 kind of outnumbered kind

2:13:10of a situation.

2:13:12Um so they they they literally a large

2:13:15part of Christendom and even the people

2:13:17the the soldiers at Lepanto started

2:13:19saying the rosary asking Our Lady to

2:13:21invoke uh invoking her

2:13:24um

2:13:25uh you know, intercession to conquer the

2:13:27Turks. They just destroyed the Turks in

2:13:29the process.

2:13:31So, the point being is is that the the

2:13:33rosary is one of those particular things

2:13:35that a number of the saints who said for

2:13:37example, if there's a particular vice

2:13:38you're trying to overcome in your life,

2:13:40start saying the rosary every day for

2:13:41that intention and pretty quick it'll go

2:13:43away. And so it's one of those um

2:13:46sacramentals that was given to the

2:13:47church which has a pretty profound

2:13:50impact.

2:13:51>> So, when you say the rosary, should

2:13:53there always be an intention behind it

2:13:54or should there be

2:13:55>> to Yeah, you want to offer it for some

2:13:56intention.

2:13:58You know, in like for example, I'm given

2:13:59your state in life, you can offer it up

2:14:00for the spiritual well-being of your

2:14:02wife, your children, or whatever for

2:14:03your protection

2:14:05um or if there's particular problems

2:14:06you're dealing with in the in your

2:14:07corporation or whatever the case is, you

2:14:09can pray for Our Lady to start

2:14:10ameliorating those or to um for the

2:14:12rosary for that intention.

2:14:14>> What are some other tools?

2:14:17Prayers, tools that people can use for

2:14:19spiritual warfare. I mean, we we we we

2:14:22talked about

2:14:24at the beginning of this, you know, we

2:14:26had brought up the the the the the UFO

2:14:29disclosure alien narrative and the

2:14:32possibility that the US government is

2:14:35trying to disprove and and the Bible and

2:14:39Ryan still faith from people

2:14:42and destroy Christianity. What what are

2:14:45and we talked a lot about the battle in

2:14:47your mind and for your soul. I mean,

2:14:49what what are things that people can do?

2:14:51>> Um

2:14:52>> Outside of voting.

2:14:53>> Voting, yeah.

2:14:55>> [laughter]

2:14:55>> As well some friends of mine know you

2:14:57say, which we've kind of seen even in

2:14:58this last election and when the

2:14:59election's going forward is, you know,

2:15:01cuz I mean, I think people should vote,

2:15:03but this idea that you're going to solve

2:15:05the problem by voting. So, their phrase

2:15:06is you we just have to vote harder,

2:15:08right? Well, that's just not going to

2:15:10bring ultimate change cuz this is a

2:15:11spiritual battle.

2:15:12The main thing for people to remember,

2:15:14at least in relation So, there's

2:15:15different categories of things that

2:15:16people can actually make use of, but the

2:15:17primary thing is prayer.

2:15:20And Christ actually laid out he said it

2:15:23in such a way so that the to explicate a

2:15:26very specific kind of principle or a

2:15:28mechanics of how the spiritual life

2:15:31actually works. So, he says knock and it

2:15:33will be opened. So, there's two things.

2:15:35You have to do something if you want the

2:15:37door open. He's not normally just going

2:15:39to I mean, once in a while he might open

2:15:40the door, but eventually you've got to

2:15:42open up you've got to do your part for

2:15:44the door to actually open. So, the the

2:15:47first is knock and be knock and the door

2:15:49will be opened. You know, ask and you

2:15:51shall receive. So, there's two. One, you

2:15:54got to do something, but the second

2:15:56thing is what you ask for is what you're

2:15:58going to get.

2:15:59So, the

2:16:01that principle, the mechanics of the of

2:16:04God is sitting there listening all the

2:16:06time to everything that you're doing

2:16:08everything saying cuz he sees it. And so

2:16:10he's listening and I I've um

2:16:14I've actually had that uh experience

2:16:16even in session where I mentally just

2:16:18said to God the Father punish this demon

2:16:20in a way that you've never punished

2:16:21someone before and he just boom it just

2:16:24it it's it's just it's it's immediate.

2:16:26So you know that he's sitting there

2:16:27listening but what you ask for is what

2:16:31you're going to get and the principle is

2:16:32that prayer begets what it signifies.

2:16:35That's part of the spiritual mechanics.

2:16:37That means in the spiritual warfare what

2:16:39you ask for is what you're going to get.

2:16:42And so an example in relationship to the

2:16:45UFO situation there's a a book called

2:16:48the Alien Delusion by Gates and in that

2:16:51book it's a bit dated but there's

2:16:53there's some key things in there which

2:16:54still even apply even today and there's

2:16:56actually you can go online and actually

2:16:58research this and there's historical

2:17:00situations where people have been being

2:17:02abducted by aliens and then they'll cry

2:17:06out Jesus' name you know Jesus help me

2:17:09that's the that's the prayer that

2:17:10they're that they're crying out and then

2:17:11all of a sudden

2:17:13boom the the the aliens completely

2:17:15disappear right? And so that that's an

2:17:19indicator that what they prayed for they

2:17:21got that Christ helped them. It's the

2:17:23same thing in the spiritual warfare. So

2:17:26if you ask your guardian angel hey you

2:17:27know if you you know communicate with

2:17:30him and say hey look I need you to

2:17:31protect me protect my children that's

2:17:32what he's going to do. If you ask Christ

2:17:35um or also even our lady but if you ask

2:17:36Christ you know hey um you know protect

2:17:40my children or protect me or there's

2:17:42this particular problem which I think is

2:17:43a spiritual issue can you block bind any

2:17:45of the demons that are involved in that

2:17:48then you know can you please just bind

2:17:50them from being able to do anything in

2:17:51relationship to that. So um I actually

2:17:54put out a book called Deliverance

2:17:56Prayers for the Lady which it people

2:17:58shouldn't feel restricted to that book

2:18:00because a lot of times just asking

2:18:01Christ directly "Hey, this is what I

2:18:03need." That's what he's waiting for and

2:18:05then he'll give it to you.

2:18:06So, and then that's true about spiritual

2:18:08warfare. It's also true about just

2:18:09advancing in your own spiritual life and

2:18:11trying to become holier. But, the

2:18:13Laurence prayers with the lady has some

2:18:15examples of, "Hey, this is how binding

2:18:17prayers work. This is how if you

2:18:18consecrate things to our lady or to our

2:18:21Lord then as a result of that they'll

2:18:23start protecting them and things of that

2:18:24sort." So, that kind of gives an example

2:18:26of the things that they can actually do.

2:18:28The main thing that people have to do

2:18:29though is they have to understand how

2:18:31evil works and when they see the evil in

2:18:33their life they have to go and ask

2:18:35Christ for the specific things. So, for

2:18:38example, if you have a child who's like,

2:18:40"I think I'm I'm gay or I think I'm

2:18:42this." You have to ask start asking

2:18:44Christ

2:18:45you know

2:18:46"Hey, give him the grace to see that

2:18:48that's not what the situation is or give

2:18:49him the grace to you know not want to be

2:18:51transgender or whatever the case, but

2:18:53also Christ block any demons that could

2:18:55be causing those kinds of thoughts in

2:18:57this kid's mind." Um they if they start

2:19:00asking for the very specific things,

2:19:02that's when they're going to see the

2:19:03most effect cuz what you ask for is what

2:19:05you're going to get. So, do we do we

Prayer, Intercession & the End Times

2:19:08do we talk to our angels or do we

2:19:11communicate do do we communicate do we

2:19:13talk to them or do we pray talk to them

2:19:14cuz they can see they can when when when

2:19:16they they can see they when they see it

2:19:19in their mind when we're talking

2:19:20verbally, but they can also if we direct

2:19:22our thoughts to them they can hear our

2:19:24thoughts.

2:19:25So, we can pray to Christ

2:19:29God

2:19:30the Holy Spirit, Virgin Mary, we we we

2:19:33talk to angels. Yeah. How do we

2:19:36differentiate who we pray to?

2:19:38Why wouldn't we just always pray to God

2:19:41if he is the

2:19:43Well, it kind of has to do with this.

2:19:45Let me ask you this question. Let's say

2:19:47for the sake of argument there was

2:19:49somebody who wasn't even you didn't even

2:19:51know who was outside your corporation.

2:19:53But, they really wanted for you to do a

2:19:55particular thing for them.

2:19:57Um would you be more likely to listen or

2:20:00grant it if they just came up to you and

2:20:01said, "Hey Shawn, would you do X?"

2:20:03Or would they do it if your favorite

2:20:05employee or something guy that you or

2:20:06one of your like your wife they went to

2:20:08your wife and your wife's wife says,

2:20:10"You know, I think that's good. I'll ask

2:20:11Shawn and see what he thinks." When are

2:20:12you more likely to get it?

2:20:14Direct.

2:20:15Well, okay. That's because you are what?

2:20:18You're manly about the situation. Okay.

2:20:21But most people would do what?

2:20:24They're not telling you.

2:20:25>> They would do it but if your wife if

2:20:26your wife asks you like Now, the reason

2:20:28that you're not you wouldn't do it is

2:20:29because the reason you like the direct

2:20:31is because you don't want people being

2:20:33obsequious going around and trying to do

2:20:34that type of thing.

2:20:36But with God, the way it kind of works

2:20:38is is that

2:20:39yeah, he'll listen to us. So, the direct

2:20:41stuff does work and so a lot time people

2:20:43they shouldn't do that.

2:20:45But at the other on the other hand, he

2:20:47set up certain saints and even our

2:20:50angels. He set them up so that he wants

2:20:54them to us to go to them because because

2:20:58then they can go to him and ask him and

2:21:00because he likes them more, he's more

2:21:02likely to give it.

2:21:05And that's how that's how basic

2:21:06intercession works.

2:21:08By the way, a lot of Protestants will

2:21:10say, "Well, the praying saints can't

2:21:11pray for us." That such a

2:21:12We believe that even the Protestants

2:21:14believe in intercessory prayer. It's

2:21:15just who can do it is the question

2:21:18because they pray for other people, too.

2:21:20So, they're interceding for other

2:21:21people.

2:21:22Um and so the question is is can the

2:21:24saints do it? Well, there's nothing in

2:21:25scriptures that says that they can't.

2:21:33>> Let's talk a little bit more about the

2:21:34spiritual battle.

2:21:38Is the battle happening right now

2:21:39between angels and demons? Or is this

2:21:42something that's coming?

2:21:44>> So, they're they don't fight each other

2:21:45direct Well, they do kind of fight each

2:21:46other directly, but it's um they're So,

2:21:49then after their fall

2:21:52there was a short kind of period of time

2:21:55in which they still had they were still

2:21:57in the presence of each other. The ones

2:21:59who had fallen and the ones who were

2:22:00faithful and the ones who had the

2:22:01beatific vision and the ones who were

2:22:02damned were in presence of each other.

2:22:05At a certain point Saint Michael, who's

2:22:08the guardian angel of the elect, that's

2:22:10his assigned task. He's the guardian

2:22:11angel of the elect.

2:22:13God gave him the power and told him

2:22:15separate them and and so that they can't

2:22:19they can't be engaging in this battle

2:22:21with each other anymore. And so that's

2:22:24and we know about that separation

2:22:26because it's right in scripture where

2:22:28the the the

2:22:30Lazar the the the Lazarus the guy that's

2:22:33the the guy that's damned says, "Hey,

2:22:35can you send Lazarus down to tell my

2:22:38brothers or you know and he says, "Well,

2:22:40first of all, there can't we can't cross

2:22:42the abyss, right? There's this

2:22:43separation. And the only time it's ever

2:22:46allowed to to go to cross that is God

2:22:48has to allow it, okay?

2:22:50So, we know that that's actually

2:22:52happened. So, there's this this kind of

2:22:54this

2:22:55this actual abyss.

2:22:57That means that in the spiritual warfare

2:22:59the angels and the saints aren't

2:23:00necessarily battling each other and the

2:23:02reason being is because there's this

2:23:03thing called prelation.

2:23:05Prelation is the ability of one thing

2:23:08who's higher a prelate is able to

2:23:10command a lower one to do something. All

2:23:13of the angels in heaven and all the

2:23:14saints in heaven have prelation in

2:23:16relationship to the demons. So, all they

2:23:18have to do is command them leave and

2:23:19they boom, it has an immediate effect.

2:23:22So, they don't sit there and battle back

2:23:23and forth. It has this immediate effect.

2:23:26That means that the battle now is

2:23:28primarily in us in this world in our

2:23:32minds primarily in our bodies where

2:23:33that's where the primary field of the

2:23:36battle is that's actually occurring the

2:23:38primary theater as you would they would

2:23:39say.

2:23:40And so

2:23:42basically what it is is that

2:23:45then that means that there's two

2:23:46components to the spiritual warfare.

2:23:48One, we have to get our guardian angels

2:23:50and this and the saints and and God and

2:23:52more involved in our lives so that they

2:23:54drive them out. So, there's that. But

2:23:56then also we can combat them to leave as

2:24:00well. And so, um we can actually command

2:24:04the demons, you know, because Christ

2:24:05gave us the example, "Satan, get behind

2:24:07me." Right? So, we can tell the

2:24:09the demons, "Get away from me." And

2:24:12because we have rights over our body,

2:24:15they have to respect the natural law in

2:24:17relationship to us. And so, if we're

2:24:19persistent, they'll leave.

2:24:23>> Do angels kill?

2:24:25I read somewhere that a single angel

2:24:28killed 180,000 in one day.

2:24:31>> Uh

2:24:32yes, in the sense of um there has been

2:24:35some that that my understanding is is

2:24:38that's the part of the mechanism in the

2:24:40Old Testament.

2:24:43They can, but they [clears throat]

2:24:45uh they only do it when God tells them

2:24:46to do it.

2:24:49And it's the same kind of a thing in

2:24:50which you you saw in the Old Testament

2:24:52God telling uh telling the Jews in the

2:24:54Old Testament, "Hey, you got to wipe out

2:24:55this whole group of people."

2:24:57And the reason being is is because even

2:24:59the children and and to us that's just

2:25:01pretty jarring. But the part of the

2:25:03reason for that is is because

2:25:06>> [clears throat]

2:25:06>> you have to wipe out the adults because

2:25:08they're doing the evil and they're going

2:25:09to cause evil and you're going to get

2:25:10sucked into the evil.

2:25:12The problem is is that the the demons

2:25:14that are affecting the parents are also

2:25:16start affecting the kids and get

2:25:17attached to the kids. And so, even if

2:25:18you let the kids leave, you're going to

2:25:20have a problem with it later. And so,

2:25:22that's why it was done in the Old

2:25:23Testament. Um and I'm not suggesting

2:25:25that we do that as a form of warfare

2:25:26today. It's a I guess it's a different

2:25:28kind of a dynamic. But that's actually

2:25:30why but so in the past the angels could

2:25:32kill entire segments of population, God

2:25:35permitting.

2:25:38>> You brought up Michael

2:25:40several times. What What about Gabriel?

2:25:45So Gabriel's assigned function was to

2:25:47to announce the the coming of Christ. To

2:25:50actually the incarnation. So that was

2:25:52his

2:25:53one assigned task. And so that's why he

2:25:55actually appears to Our Lady to to

2:25:58announce this is what the actually this

2:26:00is that's what he was actually created

2:26:02for.

2:26:03Outside that context. So each Not each

2:26:05angel, but a lot of the angels have a

2:26:07primary assigned task which they were

2:26:09given. And then they have a secondary

2:26:11task that's usually connected to that.

2:26:13And so the other thing that Gabriel

2:26:14actually can do too is to

2:26:17to encourage us and to get us to be more

2:26:19devoted to Christ.

2:26:22What about Raphael?

2:26:24So in the Old Testament, of course, he's

2:26:25the one that heals. So his that he can

2:26:29you can invoke him for like people who

2:26:30like might have cancer or whatever the

2:26:32case is, ask for him to actually heal

2:26:33you.

2:26:34Are there any other significant?

2:26:37Well, there I one other thing in

2:26:38relationship to Raphael so so Also

2:26:40Raphael um sequestered he's one of the

2:26:43nemeses of Asmodeus who's the demon of

2:26:46homosexuality in men. He's also a demon

2:26:49of impurity. But in the Old Testament he

2:26:51sequesters him in the deserts. And so he

2:26:54can ask St. Raphael if you're dealing

2:26:56with that particular demon.

2:26:58But you can ask St. Raphael to be the

2:27:00one to help you in that regard.

2:27:04>> [clears throat]

2:27:06>> What does the final battle look like?

2:27:11And basically

2:27:13okay, so the structure of it is

2:27:16um

2:27:18the human beings morals will implode so

2:27:20badly

2:27:22that and there'll be wars and rumors of

2:27:24wars and all this other stuff to such a

2:27:26degree

2:27:27that at that point the Antichrist shows

2:27:30up and presents himself as the solution

2:27:31to human beings problems.

2:27:34And so and he gains significant control

2:27:37of the human population. But there's a a

2:27:39part of it that he actually doesn't. Uh

2:27:42when he gets shows up on the scene then

2:27:44um then there's kind of stages that

2:27:46actually start to happen. There's still

2:27:48battling that's kind of going on in the

2:27:49spiritual level. But then Enoch and

2:27:51Elijah show up. They're put to death by

2:27:53the Antichrist. Then at a certain point

2:27:56St. Michael shows up, but he doesn't

2:27:58actually um he battles with the

2:28:00Antichrist, but he doesn't actually put

2:28:02the Antichrist to death. And in the end

2:28:04Christ is the one who shows up and puts

2:28:06the Antichrist to death.

2:28:07>> Okay, but he'll come back to announce

2:28:09the the second coming?

2:28:11>> Uh

2:28:12not directly, is my understanding.

2:28:17>> And when it's over, when we go to heaven

2:28:20or hell,

2:28:21>> Right.

2:28:21>> are there levels to each?

2:28:23>> There is.

2:28:24>> What do those look like?

2:28:25>> So in hell, the level that you have in

2:28:27hell, which is inverted of what is it in

2:28:29heaven, the lower you are in hell, which

2:28:31basically means the more you is based

2:28:33upon how depraved you are, how evil you

2:28:35actually are.

2:28:36But that evil then also gives you more

2:28:38power in relationship to the other

2:28:40people in hell. So that's why even

2:28:42Satanists

2:28:43are doing a lot of evil things in order

2:28:45to raise their raise their place in

2:28:46hell. And technically speaking, they're

2:28:48lowering it.

2:28:49Um but that's so there there is based

2:28:52upon how evil. Whereas in heaven, it's

2:28:54how good you are, which basically means

2:28:56the more

2:28:57approximate or the more you're like God,

2:28:59the better you actually are as a human

2:29:00being, as a person, as an angel, the

2:29:02more holy you are,

2:29:03um then that means that you'll have that

2:29:05place up in heaven. So there's different

2:29:07levels in heaven.

2:29:08>> What kind of of it what are the levels?

2:29:11>> Um so well, the levels are actually

2:29:13based upon um

2:29:15the primarily the sanctifying grace

2:29:16that's in your soul. St. Paul refers to

2:29:19uh in uh in his uh letters, he refers to

2:29:21the fact that sanctifying grace is

2:29:23basically God indwelling in us, in our

2:29:26souls. It's a qualitative change. So how

2:29:29much we have him indwelling in us

2:29:31determines where we're at in heaven.

2:29:34Now, some of that is broken down into

2:29:35the nine choirs of angels who are kind

2:29:37of in that, but there's also like

2:29:39different parts of heaven. So, they they

2:29:41call them parts,

2:29:43but it basically just means that there's

2:29:44certain people that will enjoy certain

2:29:46things more than others based upon what

2:29:47the kinds of virtues that they achieved

2:29:49in this life or the good actions that

2:29:51they did in this life. They'll just find

2:29:52certain things more enjoyable

2:29:54uh in heaven. All of us will have the

2:29:56beatific vision,

2:29:58that is to see God face-to-face. And

2:30:01basically what that is,

2:30:04when you actually look at the um

2:30:07the uh how the saints talk about the

2:30:09structure of this beatific vision, St.

2:30:11Paul talks about I will see him

2:30:13face-to-face and I will know myself as I

2:30:15am known. So, you actually see God

2:30:18inside God's mind. You actually see him.

2:30:21And so, the way that works is um in

2:30:24order for that to happen, there can't be

2:30:26any medium between us and him. And so,

2:30:28what he does is

2:30:30he takes him he infuses in our minds

2:30:32this um for us cuz we can't see him

2:30:35right now even though he's here. So,

2:30:37what God does is he infuses us another

2:30:39what they call the light of glory. He

2:30:41infuses it in us. He strengthens our

2:30:43mind so that all of a sudden everything

2:30:45kind of just peeled back and we're able

2:30:47to see spiritual realities in what they

2:30:49actually are.

2:30:51And then but that lumen gloria basically

2:30:53means um that he infuses that in our

2:30:56mind and at the same time he presses his

2:30:58very nature

2:31:00on our minds. So, we see him literally

2:31:02face-to-face. We see him.

2:31:05That means that once you see him, you

2:31:07can see everything he causes, everything

2:31:10that he's done, all the glory in his

2:31:12work in the created order. All that

2:31:13you're able to see it. We can't

2:31:15comprehend it all at once, but we can

2:31:17kind of look at it from different

2:31:18features. And so, that's what the heaven

2:31:19is like. It's like spending all our time

2:31:21looking at this from a variety of

2:31:23different points of view.

2:31:24The holier you are, the more lumen

2:31:27gloria you get and that means the more

2:31:29you understand God and the better you

2:31:31see his glory and his goodness and as a

2:31:33result of that the happier you actually

2:31:35are. So, how happy you are is how holy

2:31:38you are and how good of a life that you

2:31:40lead in this life.

2:31:43>> So, if we both die today and go to

2:31:45heaven and we're at different levels,

2:31:47will we be able will we be able to

2:31:48interact?

2:31:49>> Yeah, we'll have

2:31:51all those people in heaven have

2:31:52perfectly interaction. And so, let's

2:31:54just say you get a higher place in

2:31:55heaven.

2:31:56>> a state of mind. The level of heaven is

2:31:57a state of mind.

2:31:59Kind of.

2:32:00>> Kind of. Yeah, it's a state in the sense

2:32:02>> location.

2:32:04>> You Exactly. Exactly. So, it just means

2:32:06that like say you're higher in heaven,

2:32:08it just means you understand more and

2:32:10you have a higher degree of happiness

2:32:11that I have. I'm still perfectly happy,

2:32:14but there can be degrees of perfection.

2:32:16And so, that that people in heaven have

2:32:18And there's no envy. When I see you

2:32:20enjoying the beatific vision, let's just

2:32:22say for the sake of argument that you

2:32:23have a higher

2:32:24I'll actually see how good that is and

2:32:27how God and I'll take delight in seeing

2:32:29the fact that you have a higher place

2:32:31than I have.

2:32:32So, there's no envy. There's no nothing.

Life After Death & Divine Mercy

2:32:34>> Do you think we will interact with

2:32:37relatives here on earth

2:32:40after we pass?

2:32:42>> Uh

2:32:43yes, we actually do. I mean, I that it

2:32:45depends. Like So, if our if our

2:32:47relatives actually make it to heaven,

2:32:49then there is some interaction. I'll

2:32:51give you a couple of examples that I've

2:32:53had just recently. My father died about

2:32:553 years ago.

2:32:56Um in fact, next week it'll be 3 years

2:32:58next week.

2:32:59And I was very had a very strong good

2:33:03relationship with my father.

2:33:05And um in fact, he's the guy that just

2:33:07taught me, "Hey, look, real men don't do

2:33:09this or that, you know, type of thing."

2:33:10But um [clears throat]

2:33:12But anyways, so

2:33:13when he passed because we I worked as a

2:33:16mechanic with him,

2:33:17twice I've come across a mechanical

2:33:20thing that I couldn't solve. So, I

2:33:23literally just

2:33:25said, "Hey Dad, how do I how do I solve

2:33:27this problem?"

2:33:28Instantaneously,

2:33:30all of a sudden, boom, I get this

2:33:32clarity and see, "All you have to do is

2:33:34put the wrench on this direction."

2:33:36Literally, like

2:33:38even though I had been working trying to

2:33:39figure this thing out for 45 minutes,

2:33:41boom, the thing came right off. I've had

2:33:43two experiences like that with my

2:33:44father. So, I think there is an actual

2:33:46interaction. Um there's also uh numerous

2:33:50people who talk about like I know one

2:33:52exorcist whose mother was a very holy

2:33:54woman.

2:33:56And during his sessions, he'll actually

2:33:58call his mother down and say, "Hey, come

2:33:59down and be present to this." And the

2:34:01person who's possessed can see the

2:34:02mother.

2:34:04So, there they do we do have interaction

2:34:07with them. It's just it's a it's a

2:34:09one-way kind of a communication. We can

2:34:10communicate with them. They can do

2:34:12certain things with us. There are very,

2:34:14very rare circumstances where they

2:34:17appear to people, but I've never seen an

2:34:18authentic case in my life. I've just

2:34:20read about them.

2:34:24Do we see our direct lineage when we

2:34:26die? Yeah. Isn't everybody our lineage

2:34:29though if we all came from Adam and Eve?

2:34:31That's right. We'll we'll know it all.

2:34:33We'll see it.

2:34:35We'll see what? We'll actually see the

2:34:36entire lineage of who who both up and

2:34:39down the the actual line.

2:34:47Did Christ have a guardian angel?

2:34:50So, that is a question which St. Thomas

2:34:52Aquinas asks and then after him it was

2:34:54pretty much the general belief of the of

2:34:57the theologians and saints throughout

2:34:58throughout after that.

2:35:00And basically uh

2:35:02the we have a guardian angel because

2:35:04we're in the process of trying to save

2:35:06our souls and get to heaven, right? And

2:35:09so, they guard us so that we can

2:35:10actually get there.

2:35:12Um so, that state in of us in the

2:35:15process of getting there um the

2:35:17historically the saints from the

2:35:19patristics on called that the wayfarer

2:35:21state or wayfarers were on the process

2:35:23of were on the way to getting there.

2:35:25So, the difference though is is that

2:35:27Christ, even though he was alive in this

2:35:29life, he had the beatific vision from

2:35:31the time of his conception according to

2:35:34the entire tradition of the church.

2:35:36And that's one of the reasons why we

2:35:37know that he had this because of the

2:35:39fact that

2:35:40he would

2:35:42you know, he would actually talk about I

2:35:43and the father are one so he could

2:35:45actually see it, but he would also say

2:35:46things like

2:35:48you would see in scripture Christ knew

2:35:49their thoughts because he could see it

2:35:52his human mind could see it in his in

2:35:55his in his divine nature. He could see

2:35:58it because God was causing them.

2:36:01So, he could actually see those things.

2:36:02So, that's one of the So, we know that

2:36:04he had

2:36:05the actual um

2:36:07beatific vision.

2:36:08That means that he's not a wayfarer.

2:36:11He's already his human nature was

2:36:13already already in union with God, which

2:36:16is the final goal. And so, he wasn't on

2:36:18the way, he was already at the end. And

2:36:20so, St. Thomas says he didn't actually

2:36:22have a guardian angel.

2:36:24It didn't mean that there weren't

2:36:25guardian angels who assisted him at time

2:36:28at times. It didn't also mean that he

2:36:29wouldn't necessarily in his divine

2:36:31nature command certain angels to kind of

2:36:33keep certain things at bay so that he

2:36:35could do certain things. So, for

2:36:36example, that you read in the scriptures

2:36:38how

2:36:39the Jews would try and they hold of him

2:36:40and he would just walk right through

2:36:42them, right? So, the angels can kind of

2:36:44block them from being able to do that.

2:36:46So, the the Jews from seizing him. So,

2:36:48there was So, his and he had he actually

2:36:51mentions this to Nicodemus. He says, you

2:36:54know, you're going to see the angels

2:36:56ascending and descending upon the son of

2:36:58man because all of the angels in heaven

2:37:01knew who Christ was and they knew that

2:37:03he

2:37:04also being God was who to whom they must

2:37:07serve. And that's also when he said all

2:37:09power in heaven and earth will be given

2:37:10to me. So, even the angels in heaven

2:37:12obey him and submit to him. So, they

2:37:14they serve him. And so, um we know that

2:37:18uh that they So, he didn't have a

2:37:19guardian angel, but they all served him.

2:37:23>> [sighs]

2:37:25>> Interesting.

2:37:30>> Last question.

2:37:32What is divine mercy?

2:37:35>> So, mercy is defined as loosening the

2:37:39bonds of justice for the good of the

2:37:42individual. So, in other words,

2:37:44somebody's done something bad. Now,

2:37:47justice normally being served would

2:37:49indicate that the person should have to

2:37:52um perform uh suffer a proportionate

2:37:54evil in relationship to it. It's called

2:37:55the lex talionis, or the law of the

2:37:57talons, which is, you know, what you do

2:38:00which is actually in the Old Testament.

2:38:02So, you know, an eye for an eye, a tooth

2:38:03for a tooth. So, you have the punishment

2:38:05has to fit the crime, and it has to be

2:38:06proportionate, okay?

2:38:09But, a lot of times, that's not good for

2:38:11people, right? [snorts] And especially

2:38:13with us as human beings when we're

2:38:14stupid and we realize, "Oh man, I did

2:38:15something really bad." If we suffered

2:38:17the effects of all of our sins all the

2:38:18time, we would just be brutalized from

2:38:21the process. So, what God does is he

2:38:24loosens the bonds of justice. In other

2:38:25words, he doesn't apply the full

2:38:28punishment of the law because it's

2:38:31better for our spiritual well-being in

2:38:33the process. And so, his mercy, he

2:38:36grants it to us because it's a

2:38:38manifestation of his goodness. St.

2:38:40Augustine says, "It's the It's the

2:38:41greatest manifestation of how good God

2:38:44is, that he actually doesn't punish us,

2:38:46that he actually that doesn't extend the

2:38:49full extent of the punishment to us for

2:38:50that." Now, mercy is We get mercy for

2:38:53two reasons, and this we know from the

2:38:54Old Testament, we also know it from the

2:38:56New Testament. That that mercy is for

2:38:59the stupid, you know, you're dumb, okay?

2:39:02And so, I'm going to cut you some slack,

2:39:03right? But, he doesn't do it all the

2:39:05time. Once in a while, he'll let us kind

2:39:07of suffer our stupidity so we clue in,

2:39:09okay?

2:39:10But then the other one is when we're

2:39:12sorry for it. And the reason his mercy

2:39:14he gives it to us because we're

2:39:15contrite, we're sorry for what we've

2:39:17done

2:39:18is because of the fact that the sorrow

2:39:21when we look at the evil that we've

2:39:23done, the we sorrow in that evil.

2:39:26Whereas when we committed the sin, we

2:39:28were focusing on the good we were

2:39:29getting out of it and that was

2:39:30disordered. So when he sees that order

2:39:33within the soul that look, I've done

2:39:34this the

2:39:36done a bad thing

2:39:37and that you're sorry to him because

2:39:39you've offended him, when he sees that

2:39:41sorrow

2:39:43then he realizes that's the order that I

2:39:45was looking for that you that that the

2:39:47soul is rightly ordered and as a result

2:39:49that he communicates to them his mercy.

2:39:51And that means he loosens the bonds of

2:39:53justice and they're not bound by it. And

2:39:55so God's mercy is for the stupid and the

2:39:56contrite. And so divine mercy is

2:39:59specifically

2:40:00God's mercy

2:40:02is he what she said in the Old

2:40:04Testament, look, if you're sorry or in

2:40:05the New Testament, if you're sorry for

2:40:07your sins, this is what I'm going to

2:40:08give you. So there's a certain sense in

2:40:09which it's also his mercy as his

2:40:11justice. Because he is going to be

2:40:14absolutely true to his word, which is

2:40:16just. That if you meet these

2:40:18requirements, I will loosen the bonds of

2:40:20justice, which is his mercy. But if

2:40:22you're not, then I'm not going to. So

2:40:23there's a a justice element of it. But

2:40:26the point being is is that his mercy

2:40:28um is something which

2:40:31is he desires for us to be under his

2:40:33mercy, which basically means he desires

2:40:35that right order of the soul for us to

2:40:36be sorry for the with the sins that

2:40:37we've committed. Um and then he

2:40:39basically then at that point he'll

2:40:41forgive us our sins.

2:40:43Um and then he uh then he'll also confer

2:40:45to us good things because of the fact

2:40:47that we're sorry.

2:40:48What's interesting is because God's

2:40:51outside of time

2:40:53and he sees the totality of time all

2:40:56totality of time

2:40:58all the time and all at once. So he sees

2:41:01what you've done in the past and he sees

2:41:02what you're doing now.

2:41:04That means that even though he has

2:41:05loosened the bonds of justice with you

2:41:07in the order of time,

2:41:09for all eternity, that is for you and

2:41:11his eternal now, he will he he will see

2:41:13the offense that you committed.

2:41:15This is why Christ dying upon the cross

2:41:18has an infinite effect because it

2:41:20extends for the rest of eternity. And

2:41:22that's why it says in the Psalms, "His

2:41:24mercy endures forever." Even though he's

2:41:27he will look at your offense for all

2:41:28eternity, nevertheless, he also sees

2:41:31your your uh your contrariness and then

2:41:33you will place yourself under his mercy

2:41:36and then that's what he lets you that

2:41:38you live under even though he sees it

2:41:39for all eternity. So, he's literally

2:41:41merciful even to the people in heaven.

2:41:44The only ones who didn't get to enjoy

2:41:45his actual mercy are the angels who are

2:41:47always faithful because they never

2:41:48committed anything evil.

2:41:50Um but the the rest of us,

2:41:53his mercy endures forever.

2:41:55>> Beautiful.
