0:00in today's lesson we're discussing
0:02nutrition and nutrition is going to be
0:04uh something that is important to
0:06discuss with patients in fact it goes
0:08hand in hand in relationship to patient
0:11education so many patients have medical
0:13issues and disorders that changes in
0:16nutrition could improve also I wanted to
0:19add to that that there are some patients
0:22who have a new diagnosis and where they
0:25might need to change their nutritional
0:27intake so there are some dietary
0:29modifications here uh hypertension
0:32stroke cancer and of course type 2
0:35diabetes
0:36nutrition could improve those conditions
0:39can assist in recovery from surgeries
0:41injuries as well as infections and our
0:45role as a ccma in regards to nutrition
0:48is going to be all about patient
0:49education educating on eating disorders
0:53educating on particular diets a patient
0:55may need to follow and educating
0:57patients and understanding the
0:59nutritional intake that they have in
1:01their day-to-day eating habits
