0:00Start your engines, folks.
0:04It's time to go for a ride.
0:05Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
0:23Welcome in.
0:30Tuesday.
0:32September 22nd, Mike, the Fantasy Hitman, Jason Moore.
0:37I'm Andy Holloway.
0:38Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers.
0:39You do know the date?
0:40I don't know.
0:41You just said it like you were telling me what date it is.
0:44You knew the date already?
0:46No.
0:46You pay attention to that sort of thing?
0:47No, I didn't know.
0:48I knew it was Tuesday.
0:49Yeah, I mean, we don't pay attention to the date.
0:53Nope.
0:54We know it's waiver day.
0:55That's what we know.
0:56We're going to talk about waivers.
0:57We're going to talk about the fact that Jason and I were facing each other in the Listener League.
1:02Oh, you did.
1:03And he needed.
1:04I'm going to write it.
1:04You dirty dog.
1:05Diving right in.
1:06And Jason just needed 40 points, Al.
1:09Did you know this?
1:09He just needed 40 points.
1:11I did.
1:11And he had.
1:12I thought it was over.
1:13I genuinely.
1:14Before the game.
1:14And it was.
1:15Yesterday morning.
1:16Yesterday morning.
1:17I was like, oh, I lost to you in Listener.
1:19And you're like, no, not necessarily.
1:20I'm like, I need 40 points.
1:23Yeah.
1:24From two players.
1:25Devontae Adams.
1:26Devontae Adams.
1:27And.
1:27Jackson Dart.
1:28Jackson Dart.
1:29And I'm like, okay, that's doable.
1:30If Jackson Dart gets 25 and Devontae Adams gets 15.
1:34Now Devontae Adams got like what?
1:3535?
1:36Devontae Adams got 35 fantasy points.
1:39Did you win?
1:40No.
1:41That was.
1:41That's just unfair.
1:43That is.
1:44Sometimes you just have to laugh.
1:45Yeah.
1:45And how things work out.
1:46I mean.
1:48Laugh to stop from crying.
1:49I mean, we are losing quarterbacks by the.
1:51By the second.
1:52And Jackson Dart.
1:53Oh, man.
1:54Goes down with an MCL spray in the report.
1:57Later in the game was that he.
1:58I mean, he was on the sidelines.
1:59And he wanted to come back in the game.
2:01It doesn't seem like it's going to be some season.
2:03He just saw what happened to Caleb yesterday.
2:05Right.
2:05He's like, I'm not doing that.
2:06He's like, tell them I'm.
2:08I want it back in.
2:09Yeah.
2:09The other guy was like, you want a towel?
2:11He's like, no, get that towel away from me.
2:12It's the full.
2:13Hold me back.
2:14Guys.
2:14Hold me back.
2:15Hold me back.
2:15I'm going to fight that guy.
2:17Oh, his PR team was like calling the.
2:19Let him know.
2:19Let him know.
2:20He wanted to go back in.
2:21Well, I mean, what do we.
2:23We have like 70 snaps all time with like neighbors and dart on the field.
2:27And we just can't get these guys like neighbors got hurt.
2:30Shoulder injury popped out of place.
2:32Pop back into place.
2:33That'll be a situation to monitor.
2:35The early report on Jackson Dart left MCL injury.
2:39MRI today.
2:40Going to miss some time.
2:41Giants need to some sort of cleansing.
2:44There is dark spirits.
2:46That was that room.
2:47I mean, I felt so bad.
2:49Can you imagine when was the last one?
2:51The finals?
2:52Maybe.
2:53Because it started last year.
2:54But but here's the thing.
2:57I don't remember the last time that if I if I was a Giants fan, I would be as excited.
3:02Yes.
3:02As I was.
3:03I would say five minutes before this game.
3:05Like you.
3:07You had the hope.
3:08Well, the Eagles game.
3:09The last year, the Thursday night football, the upset of the Eagles was like that's when
3:14everything energy change.
3:16Sure.
3:16But then, you know, when when you lost neighbors and you lost Cam Scadaboo coming back this
3:22year, you're like, we have this trio of young.
3:25Yes.
3:26Exciting players.
3:27You got, you know, Brian Burns.
3:29You got you've got a core.
3:31And but will it work out?
3:32Is dark good?
3:33Is Scadaboo healthy?
3:35Is Malik neighbors going to be back week one?
3:36And week one comes around and you're like, oh, this is it's happening.
3:40Yes.
3:41Oh, week two.
3:42We're in prime time right off the bat, right to jail.
3:45It was just like, I mean, yeah, your hope your hope is is gone.
3:49Yeah.
3:50Twenty eight to six.
3:52We didn't get Puka Nakua.
3:53He was out.
3:54So Devante Adams just went for eight for one ninety five and two.
3:57Apparently he's still good.
3:58Yeah.
3:58That that got settled.
4:00They did the worries about week one.
4:01Also a goal line opportunity.
4:03I did not think week one was prescriptive.
4:06I did.
4:06You see Sean McVay come out and say, yeah, what he said about their schedule plans.
4:11He's like, or maybe like in week one, you have a dumb something coach that just messes
4:16up your team's schedule.
4:18Terrence Ferguson filled in.
4:20That was the Jason.
4:21Yeah.
4:22Hey, hey.
4:23Six for fifty four and a touch down.
4:25I had picked him up in.
4:27Well, I drafted him all across the world, all across the nation.
4:30And then I dropped him after week one everywhere.
4:33And then I picked him back up everywhere.
4:36And in one league, I felt really dumb because I dropped Travis Kelsey to pick him up.
4:41And I feel a little bit OK now.
4:43I mean, I know one week to TV, but yeah.
4:46No Puka, the leading receiver in the NFL.
4:49It feels a little Jake Ferguson.
4:51Yes.
4:52Kyron Williams and Blake Corum were almost identical.
4:54Twelve carries each.
4:55Eighty five yards for Kyron.
4:56Seventy nine for Corum.
4:57And both had a role in the receiving game.
5:02Kyron caught a receiving touchdown.
5:04On the other side, it pretty much went haywire when Jackson Dart went out.
5:08Jameis Winston was bad.
5:10Eleven for twenty seven coming in.
5:13Unable to move the football.
5:14Malik Neighbors.
5:15One catch for one yard.
5:18And that's one hurt shoulder.
5:20Yeah, it was apparently it popped out.
5:23He popped it back in and didn't want to leave the game because they had lost Jackson Dart already.
5:29Did seem like he left the game for the rest of the game.
5:33Nightmare.
5:33Remember you asked me if I wanted like neighbors or CeeDee Lamb after week one.
5:38Yeah.
5:38And it was a very seemingly easy like, oh, it seems like the neighbor side might be better.
5:43Maybe neighbor.
5:43No.
5:43One week at a time, people.
5:45Yeah.
5:45One week at a time.
5:45I mean, you have to the amount of injuries we underwent this week.
5:50You have to remember that this is this is normal.
5:53Yeah.
5:54And your team, if you survive, which the league median in our league of record was an all time low.
6:02It was like ninety one points this week.
6:05So most teams didn't score a lot of points.
6:09Yes.
6:09Well, that's I'm very unfortunate for them.
6:11That is partially true in our league.
6:15It was a little bit more top heavy.
6:18Yeah.
6:19I think it was accelerated by one team scoring two hundred and fifteen points.
6:24The all time highest score ever in our league without having a tight end, basically.
6:32Yeah.
6:32You and your disgusting face.
6:34Yeah.
6:34I mean, if I boy, I'm winning.
6:36I'm winning week one and two boys.
6:39You have.
6:40You won the boat.
6:40I mean, I have a hundred more points than Mike and Mike is second in the league in his four and oh.
6:45In two weeks.
6:47But it doesn't matter because it's week two.
6:49You got to you got to hope you can survive.
6:51And it was fun.
6:53I had no stress this week.
6:55I mean, I it was it was a good time, but a long season.
6:59The the game, you know, as we start to gather data.
7:04Sure looks like even worse for Dallas of their their defense not being fixed.
7:10It's the Rams are going to be there perfectly fine.
7:13Their defense is going to be unbelievable.
7:15The problem.
7:15It was it was in the trenches.
7:18The Rams defensive line just would go right through the Giants could not protect whoever
7:24was the quarterback.
7:25You can look at Jameis and go, man, those numbers are are horrible.
7:29Well, Jameis Winston was just under duress all the time.
7:34This was not.
7:36I mean, Jameis is a backup quarterback.
7:37We love him because he's fun.
7:38He's a goofy guy.
7:39He generally comes in and just doesn't care.
7:42And he gives you fantasy points.
7:44But there was nothing he could do.
7:46And this team did not have Miles Garrett.
7:48Like, I know I week one was the holy crap.
7:52Maybe the Rams are the super team that fails.
7:56I think they're going to be just fine.
7:58Well, having the lockdown corners that they have and then adding Miles Garrett to the mix.
8:02It's it's unbelievable what they're going to be able to going to be a dude.
8:06A nightmare for other.
8:07Yeah.
8:08And for you and for your fantasy teams.
8:10Yeah.
8:10I don't know what you're going to do is you just going to see handoffs and screen games
8:13against the Rams.
8:15I don't know.
8:15They're going to have to figure it out.
8:17And then they protected Stafford.
8:19Like Stafford sat back in the pocket and just picked people apart.
8:21It was awesome.
8:23327 and four.
8:24Yeah.
NFL News
8:25It was a bounce back week for sure.
8:27Let's talk some news.
8:30News and notes from around the league.
8:34Well, the Falcons have named Michael Pennix Jr.
8:37as their starter for week three against the Packers.
8:39It'll be Thursday night.
8:40So we get to watch the Falcons in primetime.
8:42I can't believe.
8:45Yeah.
8:45Dude, I'm genuinely so happy that Michael Pennix is playing.
8:48Like, this is the way to do it.
8:50This is the way.
8:51Now Michael Pennix is riding in on, you know, on a white stallion.
8:56Yes, he is.
8:57Just to rescue the Falcons.
8:59It is I, Sir Michael Pennix.
9:02Is it going to look very good in Green Bay on Thursday night football?
9:05It's going to look so much better than Cooper Rush.
9:07It can look bad and better, which is awesome.
9:10Well, in Drake London now, you can look at as an option.
9:14Yeah, Kyle Pitts and Drake London.
9:16Now you're at the very least.
9:17Like, whatever you drafted, whatever you hoped or thought in your draft, now you get to find out.
9:23That's it.
9:23Now you get to at least have a chance of whatever you thought when you drafted them.
9:27Maybe it is.
9:28Because the first two weeks, we've said it.
9:30Like, you have to throw that in the garbage.
9:32Cooper Rush was objectively not an NFL quarterback.
9:35He was a third string.
9:37Yeah.
9:38I mean, objectively, he was.
9:39Well, okay.
9:40Because he played NFL quarterback.
9:42Objectively, he did not play starting NFL quarterback quality.
9:46Sure.
9:47Like his little name placard.
9:48It says quarterback.
9:50With an asterisk.
9:51It's not.
9:51It's not.
9:52Kyler Murray cleared concussion protocol.
9:54Will start in week three against the Buccaneers.
9:56Are you adding Kyler anywhere?
9:57I think so.
9:58I think he was almost my stream of the week.
10:00He would have been my number two to go with.
10:02I know it's Kyler, and he's not that great.
10:03Then change your stream, sir.
10:05I told you you could go with Kyler.
10:08No, the one that you have.
10:09Well, it's the best one.
10:11Yeah.
10:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
10:13But Kyler, this week, he's coming off a concussion, which is.
10:16LARPing over here.
10:16Historically, you know, that's not going to impact production.
10:20You know, like coming off of an ankle injury or something like that.
10:23No, his talent can impact that.
10:24For sure.
10:25But he's going on the road to Tampa Bay.
10:27And so, I mean, we just saw Deshaun Watson be okay against the Buccaneers.
10:31So, you know, you could do worse on the waiver wire.
10:35Ben Johnson said Caleb Williams would be considered week to week with the hamstring injury.
10:39He is month to month with the meme.
10:41Oh, man.
10:42Mike McDonald said quarterback Sam Darnold is on track to practice this week.
10:46Whether he returns this week is yet to be determined.
10:48I had heard week four.
10:50This would be week three.
10:51We'll see what happens.
10:53Your boy Tom Palacero reporting that J.K.
10:55Dobbins is good.
10:57Yeah, no, he's good.
10:58Don't worry about it.
10:58Week two's injury scare against the Jags.
11:02Definitely good.
11:03He's good.
11:04Zay Flowers has a good shot to play in week three against the Cowboys, Mike.
11:07We'll take that.
11:08Welcome back, Zaymond.
11:10That sounded like the plan from before is kind of like rest a week, give them some extra time
11:14and come back.
11:14But what a nice matchup.
11:16Because they're like, guys, it's the Saints.
11:19No problem.
11:20Flowers, rest up one week.
11:22We'll get this dub.
11:23We'll get you back.
11:24Oops.
11:24Oops.
11:24Maybe you should have just gone snap count.
11:26You know, like have them active and be like, we're just going to put them out there for
11:30four or five.
11:31We're going to need 45 plays.
11:33Mike Evans will have to be managed this week, said Kyle Shanahan.
11:38Andy Holloway hinted he'll have to be managed this year.
11:41Yeah.
11:43Yeah, that's true.
11:44That is.
11:44I mean, unfortunately, Mike Evans is awesome and injury prone.
11:47So, you know, we expected this to be a bit of a bumpy ride.
11:54And when he's active, you should be happy about it.
11:56But didn't have a huge week and then hurt himself.
11:58He's made of older Laffy Taffy now.
12:01You know, it's like if you pull it, if you pull it, it's going to break.
12:06And that's unfortunate.
12:07You know meat.
12:09Alec Pierce will attempt to rehab his heel and ankle to avoid surgery.
12:13I don't think it's going to go well.
12:14He had a hard time coming back from the surgery, likely to be placed on IR.
12:19They hope he can come back later in the season.
12:21But at any moment, you could find out he underwent surgery.
12:23Correct.
12:24And I think that this is a player that I would drop.
12:26I mean, if I've got a completely empty IR spot.
12:28Landmine?
12:29If I've got a completely empty IR spot, okay, throw him there.
12:32There's no reason to drop someone when you can hold on to him for free.
12:35If not, I would not roster him for the next month, hoping that he doesn't get surgery,
12:41hoping that he's back one month from now.
12:43So then not knowing, is he going to re-aggravate it when he's back?
12:47I'm not going to be able to play him right when he's back, for sure.
12:49There's no way.
12:50No, I'm 100% with you.
12:51You don't have room on the bench to mess around with the what-ifs of later in the season for Alec Pierce.
12:57It really feels like this guy is going to not be himself until next year.
13:02The Raiders.
13:03Clint Kubiak said Brock Bowers will practice this week.
13:06I think there's an expectation.
13:07Or will he, Kubiak?
13:09Oh, you don't believe anything he says?
13:10No.
13:11I think he'll practice.
13:11Because he's a liar, liar fan.
13:12But he is a liar.
13:13He is an absolute liar.
13:14There's a pair of pants that are on fire.
13:17Yeah.
13:18And they're in Las Vegas.
13:19Colts.
13:20Probably more than one pair of pants on fire in Las Vegas.
13:22That's true.
13:23Wait, sir, what are you saying?
13:25That is probably very true in a number of ways.
13:28We will defend the honor of Las Vegas.
13:31The Colts signed former Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton.
13:33This is actually a great fit for this team.
13:36A competent wide receiver with a history with Daniel Jones that can substitute and be Alec Pierce light in this offense.
13:45They needed somebody.
13:47They needed Adonine Mitchell.
13:48Or Laquan Treadwell heavy.
13:49Yeah.
13:50Yeah.
13:50Also, Slayton probably gets to hang up on the Giants.
13:54So, like, if Malik Nabors is hurt, I would imagine they would be like, Slayton?
13:58Oh, yeah.
13:59Slayton?
13:59He's like, I got a new team.
14:01You leave me alone.
14:03Charlie Kohler and David Njoku have been placed on IR for the Chargers, who also lost an offensive lineman and defensive lineman.
14:09And that means that Arande Gadsden Jr. will be the tight end one for this team starting in week three.
14:14Yep.
14:15We'll be talking about him on the waiver show today.
14:17And then, why not?
14:19Dallas Goddard.
14:20He's going to miss a few weeks with a sprained MCL.
14:23They signed Zachary Ertz, Mike's favorite tight end of all time.
14:26Wow.
14:27Because Eli Stowers couldn't possibly be expected to come in and play a role.
14:31Well, he's on the IR, so he can't be expected to come in and play yet.
14:34But that's a shame.
14:35That's a shame.
14:36Yeah, but we all know he's not on the IR for an injury.
14:38Correct.
14:38Correct.
14:39But just rules are rules.
14:40He's got to miss four games now.
14:42I mean, he was second round?
14:45Second round, yeah.
14:46Highly drafted and highly disappointing.
14:49And these are the same guys that went, they passed on Justin Jefferson?
14:54Yes.
14:54Is that for?
14:55Correct.
14:55Oh, for Rager.
14:57Yeah.
14:57Jalen Rager.
14:59They did scoop up Makai Lemhan, maybe?
15:02Oh.
15:03They did scoop up the guy with like, but they generally make good decisions.
15:06They do usually.
15:07They've got a couple whiffs and they could have a couple more here.
15:12All right.
15:12We'll take a break and we'll jump into the waiver wire.
Week 3 Waiver Wire
15:21Let's do it.
15:22Waiver Wire presented by T-Mobile.
15:29Wasn't there a moment this week where, you know, when the games were going on and we were
15:33watching the players that we thought maybe it'd be like a really good waiver wire week?
15:36I don't think this is a very bad waiver wire week.
RB Waivers
15:40It's certainly better than week one.
15:42Well, let's start at the running back position, Jason.
15:44Who are your top names?
15:46Mike, where are you guys looking?
15:48Yeah.
15:48I mean, I think that the hot name right now is going to be Jonah Coleman.
15:52I'm a little cautious about it.
15:55But here's why we love Jonah Coleman.
15:57First of all, we loved the three of us all.
15:59Denver Broncos rookie.
16:00Denver Broncos rookie running back who was at least Mike and I's number two running back
16:05in rookie rankings prior to the draft.
16:08I think he's very talented.
16:09Then he got the opportunity in the fourth quarter.
16:14J.K.
16:14Dobbins gets injured late in the third.
16:17R.J.
16:17Harvey was not in the game.
16:18And Jonah Coleman went out there.
16:20The team was down when he basically got in there.
16:23They went and won in the fourth quarter with Jonah Coleman playing the majority of snaps,
16:29getting the majority of reps.
16:30He had a nice touchdown that was on him.
16:33He had a great veteran move where he breaks to the outside, gets the first down, and then
16:39slides in bounds.
16:41You know Sean Payton's going to be hot and bothered by that.
16:44They win the game.
16:45And so he really showed out.
16:47He showed out in the offseason program to the tune where in preseason they pulled him
16:53quickly and Payton was like, we've seen enough.
16:56This guy's good.
16:58So everything says this talented player who just did great things and is behind two injured
17:03running backs, that's a good pickup.
17:06The cold water I would throw on it is we just talked about J.K.
17:09Dobbins.
17:10Apparently his hamstring is good, according to Pellisaro.
17:13So he should be back.
17:14R.J.
17:14Harvey might be back.
17:16And while R.J.
17:18Harvey was missing this game, now Jonah Coleman earned more work.
17:21But when we went into this game, R.J.
17:24Harvey wasn't there.
17:25And R.J.
17:25Harvey or Jonah Coleman barely played the first three quarters.
17:29I mean, it was J.K.
17:30Dobbins.
17:31And I thought it would be like, I thought Coleman would at least play the R.J.
17:34Harvey role.
17:35Tyler Bidet.
17:36Yeah, he really didn't.
17:37Now, once J.K.
17:39Dobbins went down, Jonah Coleman very much out snapped Bidet in the fourth quarter and was
17:44special.
17:45So I don't know.
17:46What are you guys bidding on a player like that in that situation?
17:49I'm not going overly hard in the paint, but this is a situation that could develop over
17:55the next couple of weeks.
17:57The offseason, I felt like the largest threat to J.K.
18:01Dobbins was not R.J.
18:03Harvey.
18:03It was Jonah Coleman.
18:04But he needs the door to open for him to show on an NFL Sunday that he can be the guy.
18:11I didn't necessarily find myself convinced that he...
18:15I mean, he played well, but I don't think that there was something that I saw that was
18:18like, oh, gosh, this guy took over the entire backfield.
18:20The thing for Coleman, though, is he's a very versatile running back.
18:25He's a three-down guy where J.K.
18:28Dobbins, for the Denver Broncos, not really used in the passing game.
18:32They know that when defenses know when Harvey's on the field, you're probably going to throw.
18:37So I don't know if Peyton desires to have that running back where he can put him on the
18:41field and the defense has to at least take a split second to really understand what type
18:48of offensive play is going to happen.
18:50If Dobbins is back, I think he goes right back into being the guy.
18:53This is a situation, though, of J.K.
18:56Dobbins hurt all the time, hurt last week.
19:00Yes, he's good to go now, but I'm not picking up Coleman to play him.
19:05I'm picking up Coleman right now in the event maybe next week.
19:10Now it's like, oh, crap, Coleman's a full fab dump.
19:14Because Dobbins is out for the year or something?
19:16I want to get ahead of it.
19:17Yeah, I'm more on Jason's side.
19:18I'm only spending a few bucks.
19:20No, I'm not going heavy.
19:21I'm only spending a few bucks of fab.
19:23Yeah.
19:24But if I had Dobbins, I would make it a priority.
19:27Yeah, that makes sense.
19:28Also, we have to be honest that, I mean, Dobbins can't stay healthy.
19:34Yeah.
19:34I know the injury-prone label gets talked about like, oh, that's not a real thing.
19:39He invented it.
19:39It kind of is a real thing.
19:41I'm actually – I remember over the last couple years all the online docs hating the injury-prone label.
19:47So I'm so convinced – I'm doing a study soon in the next couple months because I feel like it's absolutely a thing.
19:54I'm just saying that –
19:55There's a couple guys that you could say that about.
19:58Yeah, and maybe the data will say that it's wrong.
20:01But I feel like future injuries, one of the best predictors might be past injuries.
20:05Yeah, but it's just like –
20:06It just depends on the type.
20:07I think there's a lot of nuance to it.
20:08Yeah.
20:09Matt Forte.
20:10The difference between breaking your fibula or like constantly pulling your hamstring.
20:12I mean, those are – one's a like biological problem you got.
20:15Jordan Tyson absolutely has a hamstring problem.
20:18Yeah.
20:18Mike Evans, hamstring problem.
20:20Nico.
20:20Nico has had repeated issues in his training.
20:23Will Johnson, cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, fell in the draft, not because of how good he is,
20:28but because teams were worried about his medicals, got hurt last year, got hurt this year.
20:34It's like – but my counterpart was like Matt Forte was injury prone until he wasn't.
20:39Frank Gore.
20:40Keenan Allen was –
20:41Keenan Allen.
20:41Keenan Allen was injury prone.
20:42Yeah.
20:42And now he's going to go down in the Hall of Fame with some of the most –
20:47Maybe number three.
20:48We're hoping players like Christian Watson changes in their training, establish them to be more healthy.
20:54To be honest, if I was – I don't think the running back names are pick up and start guys.
21:01No, they're not.
21:01Other than potentially Emmanuel Wilson because of the fact that I don't think the George Salami situation is ever going to happen.
21:10And I think Jadarian Price's shoulder injury and fumble could cause the team to say,
21:15hey, let's ride the hot hand.
21:16Emmanuel Wilson, 21 for 92, probably sees more snaps.
21:20Oh, the Helani Hive is just wrecked right now.
21:24We're all four of them?
21:26Yeah.
21:27There was a loud –
21:28Me and Kyle in shambles.
21:29Yeah, there was a loud group.
21:30And I just – I was like, there's no way.
21:33Yeah, no, it was Emmanuel Wilson.
21:34Yes.
21:35I think Emmitt Johnson is the best addition to hold.
21:39Yes.
21:39100,000%.
21:41Because you – here's the thing is like Jonah Coleman is a great like player.
21:46But you saw it this past weekend.
21:48He played 40% of snaps when there was no Dobbins and no Harvey.
21:52And then Tyler Bidet gets worked in.
21:54And I've been annoyed by Peyton's use of the running back rotation anyways.
21:58If the formerly injury prone occasionally – I mean, he's going to be getting a big workload.
22:04If Kenneth Walker goes down, I think we've seen enough from Emmitt Johnson already to say he would be –
22:10first of all, he'd get all the work.
22:11Yeah.
22:11Second of all, he looks really good.
22:12He looks great.
22:13And third, it's an offense I trust right now.
22:16So to me – like he's 36% rostered.
22:19So I'm bringing it up because it's like, okay, maybe he's rostered in some of your leagues.
22:23But if you have Ken Walker, he's a must add.
22:25Agreed.
22:26Like a must add.
22:27I agree.
22:27Now, not later when he's, you know, full fab dump because Ken Walker goes down for a week.
22:33Add him now.
22:34There's a chance – Andy Reid came out this morning and said, you know, we're going to give him more work.
22:40We don't want Ken Walker to have to have this level of a workload.
22:45So to me, he's kind of my number one of the list.
22:50He is an absolute must be rostered in 100% of leagues.
22:54I think he could possibly develop into a player that you could start, you know, as like in a double flex.
23:05Sure.
23:06For instance, this week, right?
23:08They're playing the Dolphins, I believe, is the matchup.
23:11So it's like you're telling me when the Chiefs are up, how much is Walker playing in the fourth quarter of that game?
23:16Genuinely.
23:17Like how many touchdowns is Emmett going to get in the fourth quarter?
23:23Probably one.
23:24Yeah.
23:24Emmett should be rostered.
23:26And the Saquon Barkley's injury, we still need more information.
23:31Like he was – we got the news two days ago he was going to get an MRI on his neck for the stinger.
23:37Is everything okay with Saquon Barkley?
23:41I know he went back in the game, but if he has – like if he has an injury to his neck that needs some time off,
23:46then Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley will work themselves in as well.
23:51By the way, real quick sidebar injury update.
23:54I just want to mention this because it was – it came out earlier this hour just that Sean McVay is not sure if Buka Nakua is going to play in week three right now.
24:02Oh, really?
24:02It's definitely up for grabs right now.
24:05It came out yesterday off air that Andy believes that there's a chance any minute we hear about a hernia surgery.
24:14I'm just worried about sports hernia when I start to hear – like when I hear multiple reports –
24:18But they said hip.
24:19Well, here's the problem.
24:21Hip is the big report, but then like Sean McVay says groin.
24:24And you start getting into that sports hernia abdomen area where I just – look, it's not reporting.
24:30It's just speculation.
24:30It's just writing on the wall.
24:31It's just like what's going on?
24:33Like maybe it's the hip because he compensated for something in training camp.
24:37I do not know.
24:39But there's another player that has had frequent injury problems.
24:43Dude.
24:43Apparently, Devontae Adams is capable of being the number one.
24:46Yeah.
24:46He's okay.
24:47He's okay.
24:48And we said throw out that week one Australia game and turns out, yes, that was –
24:53They were just tired.
24:53Yeah.
24:54They were tired from flying a minute ago.
24:57Back to the Kenneth Walker-Emmett conversation.
25:00Oh, okay.
25:00Go ahead.
25:01So, I just was looking this up because I know Kenneth Walker's been an absolute bell cow beast the first two weeks.
25:07He's on pace for 535 opportunities.
25:10That is impossible.
25:11Not enough.
25:13Bone bros.
25:14Now to the Saquon Barkley backup situation because Saquon dealt with a stinger before and missed games.
25:21And he's going to get a second look at this.
25:23He came back at the game.
25:24And so, it's like, okay, maybe it's not a big deal.
25:27Or maybe he misses time.
25:29If he misses time, there's going to be a big debate.
25:31And I think right now there's going to be an over-mad rush to the waiver wire for Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley.
25:37Here's how it worked.
25:39Tank Bigsby did not get all the work.
25:42I thought that if Saquon went down, Tank gets the role and will be a league winner.
25:48That was not the case.
25:49Basically, what happened is Tank got the rushing work and Shipley got the passing work.
25:55They kind of were the exact inverse on routes versus snaps.
25:58In turn of routes.
25:58Because Bigsby still got a couple targets.
26:01Yes.
26:01But the routes were going to Shipley.
26:02The routes and the snaps.
26:05They were sharing them.
26:06Obviously, I mean, it's so funny.
26:08I was going to say, you don't expect over the last couple years the Eagles to be in these down situations where they're throwing the ball.
26:15To the Tennessee Titans.
26:16But then there's like, if they're down to the Titans, who?
26:18So, anyways, I think it's a split.
26:20I'd rather have Bigsby.
26:21If I have to pick one of those two, it would be Bigsby because I don't expect them to be in that level of passing situation going forward.
26:28And the touchdown upside is going to be on with Bigsby.
26:32So, I mean, there's a lot of names that are not really startable assets.
26:36Would you drop Jonathan Brooks or Kenny Gainwell right now to pick up any of those names?
26:40Kenny Gainwell, I would drop.
26:42Who, by the way, two fancy points and three.
26:44Yeah, Kenny Gainwell.
26:46That situation feels like it's shaking out.
26:48That Bucky Irving is just, he's going to be the man.
26:501A, 1B is nonsense.
26:53It's Bucky.
26:55What a pick, Jay.
26:56And then, yes, your clairvoyance there right before your draft pick of knowing what was going to happen.
27:03I saw the future.
27:05You got one of those magic angles.
27:05On the clock.
27:07Brooks is hard because of, do we have any more injury update?
27:11I think that he's going to rehab.
27:14It was week-to-week groin injury.
27:17I would, it's just hard to see him going from.
27:21Yeah, I guess I'm willing to move on from him.
27:23IR spot, hopefully.
27:24Tuck him in the out.
27:25That would be great if you've got it.
27:28It's a tough situation.
27:29I think he is not, certainly not a must drop.
27:32And certainly a can drop.
27:33Because if he was on waivers, it just depends on my roster.
27:36I would be willing to pick him up.
27:37When does Chuba get respect?
27:39Never.
27:39Never.
27:40I mean, he should.
27:40A couple years ago he got respect and he got a big payday.
27:43Well, by them.
27:44But I don't think by the fantasy community ever.
27:46He got it from you.
27:47Do you realize that, yeah, from me.
27:48Yeah.
27:49Yeah, Chuba Hubbard, RB10 and RB11 through two weeks.
27:51Yes.
27:52He has played very well.
27:54He has a receiving touchdown in both weeks.
27:57And the Panthers are cooking.
27:58It's not just the, like, oh, respect Chuba.
28:00It's the Panthers are, this is a team reborn.
28:04Bryce Young looking good.
WR Waivers
28:05Bryce Young looks like an actual legit quarterback through two weeks.
28:07We're going to talk about him.
28:08Wide receivers, guys.
28:10To me, it's Denzel Boston.
28:14Cleveland wide receiver.
28:16Has looked the part through two weeks.
28:1842% rostered.
28:19Went five for 95 and a touchdown.
28:22He's my number one pickup.
28:25Of the week or a wide receiver?
28:26A wide receiver.
28:27Okay.
28:27And actually, let me see.
28:29I think that might be, he might be my number one overall.
28:32Yeah, I think that unless you're the, like, the Jacob Dobbins manager.
28:37Then it's Coleman.
28:38But, yeah, I think Denzel Boston's my number one pickup because he's got everything that you want.
28:43You know, he's got the snap counts.
28:45Not everything.
28:46Maybe.
28:47Quarterback?
28:48He did this week.
28:49One of the highest rated passers in the game this week.
28:51Yeah, this week.
28:52Do you believe he has the quarterback you want?
28:55Just say it.
28:55The quarterback I want?
28:57You said he doesn't have everything you want.
28:58I'm just using your words.
28:59He's trying to get a sound bite.
29:00I just want you to say that you love Deshaun Watson.
29:03He's got a quarterback I hate.
29:04Okay.
29:05There we go.
29:06Denzel Boston, though, Young.
29:07Yeah.
29:08Highly drafted.
29:09Big, physical.
29:11Touchdown threat.
29:12Which, look, if you have a quarterback you don't love, you want somebody that's going
29:15to get into the end zone.
29:16I don't need, like, frankly, Concepcion right now is running around like Chimray DK in Tennessee
29:22did in his rookie year.
29:24I want the guy that's got the big playability that they take a shot to that can break a tackle.
29:28And he's in elite company right now.
29:31Rookie wide receiver since 2000 with 90-plus percent of snaps and a touchdown in their first
29:35two games.
29:36Abuka and Boston.
29:37That's it.
29:38He was a touchdown machine in college.
29:41That was, like, his, I feel like, his superpower.
29:43And so far, it's translated to the NFL.
29:46Do you guys disagree?
29:47Is there a better wide receiver for you?
29:49I do.
29:49He's my number one wide receiver.
29:50He's my number two wide receiver, personally.
29:52I have Dontavian Wicks above him, simply because with the Dallas Goddard injury, I mean, we've
29:57seen, I think, the better team, the better quarterback.
30:00He's on the field a lot.
30:02His yards per run are outrageous.
30:04Yeah.
30:04He can go deep downfield and get a bomb touchdown the way that Denzel Boston can.
30:09Or he can, you know, last week it was five for 74.
30:13He's playing the snaps, running the routes on a better offense for a better quarterback.
30:16And the targets should be perhaps going up without Goddard.
30:20So I would put Wicks, then Boston.
30:22But certainly those two are in a tier of their own from the other wide receivers.
30:26Yeah.
30:26So Wicks' snaps did go down.
30:29I mean, the opportunities were still there.
30:31So it's interesting of what they did between week one and two.
30:35They had to get Cooper.
30:36Yeah.
30:37Why I'm in on the Boston side is because this isn't out of nowhere.
30:41He is a second-round rookie.
30:43When rookies produce, we want to be aggressive.
30:47We want to go after them just in case.
30:49They're a star.
30:50Special guys just show up.
30:52He had the preseason.
30:54Yeah.
30:55And exactly that.
30:56During the training camp of preseason period, his drumbeat was very steady and very loud.
31:01Like you had some beat reporters saying,
31:03I think Denzel Boston might end up as the number one wide receiver on this team,
31:07which felt like just absolute blasphemy because they drafted Casey Concepcion,
31:14who seemed like the better prospect, who was drafted in the first round.
31:19So I'm on Andy's side here of the team environment.
31:23Obviously much, much better for Dontavian Wicks, but young player breaking out after his breakout
31:33was predicted by their media, I would be decently aggressive going after Boston.
31:38I don't mind it at all.
31:40If you want to take Boston for the high upside, I certainly think Boston has a higher ceiling
31:47case than Dontavian Wicks.
31:48Do you believe that there's any chance that Deshaun Watson continues to ascend or approve?
31:55I do not.
31:57I would find that doubtful.
31:59Yeah.
32:00It's hard because he's a player that played at a level that was so outrageous at one point
32:04that you're like, maybe the answer is like you get the Russell Wilson post-Seattle version
32:10of Deshaun Watson.
32:12Which that's what Cleveland has received to this point.
32:15They have received.
32:16Other names, do you have interest in Keon Coleman at all?
32:20Yeah.
32:20I mean, we don't know the DJ Moore injury for sure, whether he'll be out there or not,
32:25but he looked...
32:26You mean just for this week?
32:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
32:27Because I think he's back and he'll be back soon.
32:30Yes.
32:30This is not...
32:31I don't think Keon Coleman is a rest of season great play.
32:35You know, Rashad Bateman, these type of guys, Keon Coleman, Bateman is like, what are
32:40the starters?
32:41Is A Flowers playing?
32:42Is DJ Moore playing?
32:43And if they're out, these are break glass in case of emergency.
32:46You can start them in your league.
32:50How about some respect for Trey Tucker?
32:51Yeah.
32:52Trey Tucker was the name I would bring up.
32:54He's my number two right now.
32:56Kirk Cousins is playing very good football.
33:00He's Kirk-in.
33:01Kirk O'Chains is...
33:02I like that.
33:04Yeah.
33:04It wasn't your best.
33:05It's like cooking and Kirk-in, but it sounds dirty.
33:07Oh, you're...
33:08Sounds a little pretty.
33:09Oh, yeah.
33:10Yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:10We're moving on.
33:11Sounds kind of weird.
33:12But it's like Trey Tucker has actual staying power.
33:16He's flashed from time to time.
33:19And if he gets really consistent quarterback play...
33:22Do you remember him in week three of last year?
33:24Yeah.
33:24Was that like the multi-touchdown game?
33:27Three.
33:27Yeah.
33:27Three touchdowns in 145 yards.
33:29He has two or three of these games a year, but we have seen him for now four years.
33:34So chasing Trey Tucker, that's tough.
33:38That is really tough.
33:39For a week-to-week basis.
33:39When we had the fancy time machine, it was like...
33:45I went team by team, and it was the Raiders.
33:48It was like, this is an environment where a wide receiver can pop off.
33:53I ended up going Jack Besh simply because Trey Tucker, we've seen him pop off and then disappear.
33:59I didn't know if he was reliable enough or Jalen Naylor.
34:03The matchup against New Orleans this week, I expect a fast pace of pay.
34:07A lot of fast...
34:09Play.
34:09Thank you.
34:10Place of play.
34:11No.
34:12No.
34:12No.
34:14No.
34:15Hold on.
34:15I'm going to try this over.
34:16All right.
34:17Give me the camera.
34:18Your brain is cooking.
34:19All right.
34:20It's Kirkin.
34:20It's a fast pace of play in New Orleans, and so I expect a lot of points scored.
34:27I'm fine taking a shot on Trey Tucker, but if you told me after the game it was Jalen Naylor or Jack Besh,
34:31you know, it's like, oh, okay, yeah.
34:33Well, Bowers is returning.
34:34Yeah.
34:35Most likely.
34:36Yeah.
34:36Sure.
34:37Sure.
34:37And then, you know, there's a chance that Caleb Douglas misses time for Miami if you care about Malik Washington or Chris Bell.
34:47Sometimes you got to get gross.
34:48Chris Bell only had 41% of snaps.
34:50It's definitely Washington over him right now.
34:52Yes.
34:52See, by the Denzel Boston argument, I would still probably rather roster Chris Bell just for the upside.
34:59Yeah, but if you had to start one this week.
35:01If I had to start one, yeah, Malik Washington.
35:02And then Darius Slayton, do you care about adding him after the, you know, I honestly,
35:08the biggest name of all the other names that I think is actually near the top of my list of that.
35:13Can I guess it?
35:14Yeah.
35:14Adonai Mitchell.
35:15It's Adonai Mitchell.
35:15Yes.
35:15That's a good name.
35:16I like Adonai Mitchell.
35:17I've said this before.
35:1912 targets, six for 63, the passing volume in the offense that you talked about getting from Geno Smith,
35:26a team that I think frequently will be playing from behind.
35:29He's on the Jets.
35:30He's on the Jets.
35:31He's going to be playing on the road in Detroit, which is, they lost more quarters.
35:36He gets the deep opportunities as well.
35:38Then he's going to connect on some of those.
35:41So for me, Adonai Mitchell is actually one of the sneakier plays.
35:44Like I'd put him outside of Boston and Wicks.
35:49I think he's my three.
35:50He's my four.
35:51Okay.
35:53Why don't we take a quick, oh, some drop candidates.
35:55You ready for these?
35:57Yeah.
35:57We talked about Alec Pierce.
35:59How about Wandale?
36:00Yeah.
36:00You can.
36:00Yeah.
36:01What about Quentin Johnston?
36:02Yeah.
36:03Probably.
36:04Cortland Sutton.
36:05Yeah.
36:07That's disgusting, but I don't think he's very good.
36:10What about Marvin Harrison Jr.?
36:14Jason.
36:16Let's go to Jason's game.
36:21See, you know what's going around right now?
36:23He's still hiding.
36:24What's going around right now is a lot of college film of Marvin Harrison Jr.
36:29It looks so good.
36:30He has a slightly different level of energy.
36:32Maybe it's just because he's not running against professional DBs.
36:34I don't really know.
36:35It's not the DB.
36:37It's like the effort.
36:38I want to kind of like balance it a little bit because I went back and watched the film
36:42this past week and there were like, I don't know what to do here.
36:47The team has been like, okay, they're asking McVay or LaFleur.
36:52They're like, hey, why can't you get him some easy touches?
36:55And if you listen to his answer, he's like, well, look, it's easier said than done.
37:00Like, Trey McBride is the best short area, middle of the area receiver in the game.
37:05You have so many offensive plays.
37:07Half of those are runs.
37:08It's like, do you want to just script up a screen pass and waste it down on Marvin Harrison Jr.?
37:13He ran some downfield routes.
37:15Did he say waste it down?
37:16No, no, no.
37:16I added that.
37:17Those are your ones?
37:18That was the insinuation, though.
37:20We have guys that do that well.
37:22Why do it with this guy who's supposed to threaten down the field?
37:25And it was logical.
37:26It's like Kendrick Bourne and Trey McBride should be in the short area, middle of the field.
37:33You should be using Marv in a different way.
37:35But Marv is not putting in the effort for the type of routes that he's been given.
37:38But he did on some place.
37:39He did on some.
37:40But there are so many from week two as well.
37:43Yeah.
37:43Where it's just like he looks like he is not giving a fart.
37:47I mean, he's not getting any targets.
37:49I don't.
37:51It's not like he's failing on the targets.
37:52It's a bit of a like, if you never get the ball.
37:55I'm not expecting wide receivers to not be divas in that regard.
37:58He runs routes fully not expecting to get the ball.
38:02He is not out there wanting the targets.
38:05He's not a dog.
38:06No.
38:07No.
38:07There is a.
38:07That's two.
38:08Through two weeks, we do have a leader for.
38:11Cat of the year.
38:12Yeah.
38:13What did we call it?
38:14Mason Taylor was the winner of that last year.
38:16I don't remember what we called the actual award.
38:18What did we call it, Kyle?
38:19Cat player of the year?
38:21Something stupid?
38:21Maybe Meow Man.
38:22Meow Man.
38:22Meow Man.
38:23Yeah.
38:23Okay.
38:23We're pretty good about that.
38:24Marv.
38:26Meow Man of the year right now.
38:27Marv.
38:27Meowvin Harrison.
38:28You better get it together.
38:30Meowvin Harrison Jr.
38:31For sure.
38:32Right now.
38:33Yeah.
38:33We'll take a break.
38:34We'll talk tight ends, quarterback streams of the week.
38:41There's something satisfying about being prepared before everybody else catches on.
38:46A fantasy lineup set early.
38:48The waiver claim submitted.
38:49And this year, having the holiday shopping handled before the last minute scramble begins.
38:55Amazon's prime big deal days is coming.
38:58It's October 6th through the 7th.
39:00Two days jam-packed with deals worth making moves on.
39:05Score the best deals on gifts, fall fashion, home decor, and more.
39:09So you can cross off our holiday gift list for others and score a few things for yourself while you're at it.
39:15New deals drop every day.
39:17So even more of a reason to come ready.
39:20The game plan is simple.
39:21Make the list now.
39:22Then be ready when prime big deal days arrives.
39:26Shop prime big deal days this October 6th through the 7th.
39:30All right, Foot Clan.
39:32Whether you are on the go or at home, T-Mobile, well, they're built to keep you connected wherever you're scouting your fantasy team.
39:39And that on-the-go part, that is important.
39:42With America's Best Network, you'll be connected to the latest news and player projections.
39:45So when you're on the clock, you can draft a winning team.
39:49I can think of so many situations where that element of being connected while you're on the go is fundamental to fantasy football success.
39:55I'm in the midst of multiple leagues right now where I am responding to trade offers.
40:00We are massaging the trade offer.
40:02We want to make sure that I'm the one that gets the player, not another player manager in our league.
40:07So trade offers when you're on the go, all the news that's breaking so you don't make a mistake.
40:12And my favorite thing, maybe I'll mention it.
40:14Look, you're sitting and you have a quiet moment somewhere out and about.
40:18You want to jump in the UDK.
40:19We got the player profiles.
40:20You can watch all of those in there with T-Mobile.
40:22You can jump in on the player projections and our stat projections and all the 130,000 words of content.
40:29Again, T-Mobile making that easy to do.
40:31Every bit of news.
40:33Things are changing all the time.
40:34New player contracts, all that good stuff.
40:36So from off-season to game day, every play is better with T-Mobile.

40:59Back into the waiver wire and maybe just maybe we found a position with a few diamonds in the rough.
41:09I think it's interesting.
41:10Tight ends.
41:11You know, Terrence Ferguson with the potential Puka Nakua update.
41:15He could have been missing another week.
41:16And just, like, there's a chance he has value that persists beyond Puka's return.
41:22Arande Gadston taking over as the number one, you know, tight end in Los Angeles, where, by the way, the drops were outrageous from, like, Trey Harris and Brennan Thompson and even Najoku and those guys.
41:34Like, you could use another target beyond Lad McConkie there.
41:37And then Darren Waller, who just seems to have a nose for the end zone.
41:40Man.
41:41Nothing else in two weeks, but, you know, 17 yards, 33 yards, whatever it was the first two weeks.
41:46That's where a walrus belongs.
41:48Near the.
41:49In the end zone.
41:50Near the end zone.
41:50It's just his habitat.
41:51That's the habitat.
41:52Okay.
41:53All right.
41:54Other names to add to that?
41:56I don't think that there are.
41:59I mean, TJ Hawkinson has done.
42:02No.
42:02He's had a few plays this year.
42:03I don't think there's names you need to add beyond those three because those are three good pickups.
42:07And the order of those three, to me, is, like, Gadston, I think, has the clearest path right now with the other two tight ends injured.
42:18He had the talent he showed in his rookie season, and he's forced onto the field.
42:23If I knew that Puka was getting a hernia surgery, Terrence Ferguson would probably be my number one overall of all positions this week.
42:30I would take him over Boston, over Jonah Coleman.
42:33He is, I believe, the fill-in.
42:36And so I would say this.
42:38The same way that you're saying if you had J.K. Dobbins, you would go out and pay a little bit more for Jonah Coleman.
42:44If I am the Puka manager, I know it doesn't fill in my wide receiver slot.
42:48But when Puka is gone, or for that matter, if I'm the Devontae Adams manager, I might, you know, he's older.
42:54If he were to miss time, I feel like you have a tight end who will put up wide receiver numbers in the situation where he is the number two option on that team.
43:06Any other thoughts on tight ends, Mike?
43:08Just, it's disgusting.
43:10It's nasty.
43:11But the muth, I mean.
43:13You can't trust the other players to catch the football there.
43:16Most drops, right?
43:17Most drops in football.
DST Streamers
43:18Aaron Rodgers is in the top five.
43:20Yeah.
43:20And the matchup.
43:22He's also in the top five players I would drop if I had him on my team.
43:25The next four weeks, you know, Cincinnati, Cleveland, the Colts, Tampa Bay.
43:32You know, you don't really have a ceiling case here like Darren Waller or Ferguson hitting and probably even Gadsden.
43:39But if you've just been getting no production out of your tight end, then the muth could help you out.
43:45But defensively, there are a couple of juggernauts available in a majority of rosters or on the majority of leagues right now.
43:51The Vikings are playing great defense.
43:53They play Tampa, Miami back to back.
43:56And the Chiefs are playing great defense and play Miami, Las Vegas back to back.
44:00You're going to start to.
44:01There are teams I'm targeting right now.
44:03Like playing Miami is one of them.
44:06Playing Tennessee, playing Atlanta, playing Washington, I think may turn into that.
44:11Good.
44:11I'm still fine targeting Cleveland.
44:14Show me more than one week.
44:15Absolutely Cleveland.
44:16Yes, absolutely.
44:17So those are some targets.
44:19But, you know, the Giants have Tennessee this week.
44:21Green Bay has Atlanta on Thursday night football.
44:23Michael Penix may be better than Cooper Rush, but he has no problem turning the ball over.
44:27Right.
44:27So I think the Green Bay defense this week is a good one.
44:30And I think that's where I would probably leave it.
44:34Yeah, and Green Bay is a really nice pickup to me because right now they've got Atlanta
44:40and then they've got Baker who the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used to look like, you know, the
44:45first half of last year and the year prior.
44:47Oh, I don't want to play against them.
44:49They have not been good.
44:50And then at that point, Micah Parsons will be able to come off of IR and that defense should
44:56get a boost.
44:57So they might have Chicago without Caleb.
44:59We'll see.
44:59And then, you know, it gets a little tough and tougher after that.
45:02And, you know, generally we focus the waiver wire on the, you know, like your running
Full Stream Ahead (QB Streamers)
45:07backs and your wide receivers.
45:09My number three pickup for the week is a quarterback.
45:14So who's going to be talked about here?
45:16Oh, I was going to ask.
45:17By not me.
45:18Okay.
45:19That was the waiver wire presented by T-Mobile.
45:21When you're updating your roster right before kickoff, you've got coverage you can count
45:25on.
45:25Just another reason.
45:26Game days are better with T-Mobile.
45:28Check it out at T-Mobile.com slash membership.
45:32Full stream ahead.
45:38Well, we'll just let Jason talk first.
45:41In terms of streaming quarterbacks, 48% rostered.
45:44Tyler Shuck.
45:45Yeah.
45:45Tyler Shuck is out there.
45:47He's available in way more leagues than he should be.
45:50They are.
45:51The Saints are number one in pace of play, which is what we.
45:54This is real tough.
45:55You can't get that one.
45:57Pace of play is a tough one today.
45:58But that was what we expected with Kellen Moore.
46:01He's always done this.
46:03And they're three point home favorites.
46:05This is their home opener.
46:07Right now, he has been on fire.
46:10Is he leading the league in passing yards?
46:13In passing yards, yes.
46:13Yeah.
46:13I mean, in NFL history, quarterbacks with 90 plus attempts, 600 plus passing yards, and
46:19a 68% completion percentage through the first two weeks, 2015 Tom Brady, and 2026 Tyler Shuck.
46:28He's also running the ball.
46:30I think this could be a rest of season fantasy option.
46:34Yes.
46:34And that is not what usually the full stream ahead.
46:38I have my regrets.
46:40On dropping him?
46:41Yeah, because I dropped him when I did that trade last week.
46:44And so I lost, you know, I picked up Emmitt Johnson and Tucker Kraft.
46:49But by extension, if you trade two for one, you got to drop somebody.
46:54And I regret it.
46:56And I wish I had dropped Pat Bryant.
46:57And I picked up Tyler Shuck.
46:59And I'm very happy about it.
47:01Two games on the road.
47:02He is currently the quarterback five.
47:04Yeah.
47:05I mean, it's been.
47:05And what's going to change?
47:06Like, he's already.
47:08What's going to change is he's going to get Jordan Tyson back.
47:10That's exactly why I think Tyler Shuck is such an important pickup right now.
47:15Yes, in single QB, you can waver your way through.
47:20Like, you can find guys off of the wire.
47:22But there is a chance with Jordan Tyson coming back that Tyler Shuck gives us a truly special season.
47:30I think it.
47:31I wish I could disagree.
47:33This was a player for the Foot Clan to be aware of that was on Mike's board.
47:39Yes.
47:39For a long time as a my guy.
47:41And then when some of the injuries happened, then it was like, OK, he got moved to the fantasy MVP.
47:47He wasn't going to be a my guy, but he was going to be his fantasy MVP.
47:50And then Jordan Tyson re-aggravated the hamstring.
47:52He's like, OK, I can't do that.
47:53But this is a not just a, oh, the last two weeks have been good.
47:58We didn't see this coming.
47:59This is a this path was there.
48:03So I actually have my worries about him this week against Las Vegas.
48:07I've talked about the Las Vegas pass rush.
48:09And I want to flag the fact that things are going to get harder for Tyler Shuck because
48:13Kelvin Banks Jr., their stellar tackle, who had a fantastic rookie season.
48:19He just went out for and he's going to IR.
48:21It's going to be a long term.
48:22Short term or rest of the season.
48:24I don't know if it's been determined yet, but it's going to be a long.
48:26Do you have to do that still?
48:29I think I so I did.
48:31I thought post-COVID they got rid of that.
48:33Yeah.
48:33But then I saw a bunch of reporting that people were going on a short term IR.
48:37Well, before the season.
48:39He has ankle surgery.
48:40This is not going to be short.
48:42This is going to be a long.
48:43He's going to be out indefinitely.
48:45This is a it was a high ankle sprain, but he needs surgery for it.
48:49And so it's going to take some time.
48:51I'm just bringing it up because the one time that we saw Tyler Shuck, Tyler Shuck had a awful
48:55first half.
48:56Yes, he did.
48:57In week one.
48:57And the reason he did was because he was under constant pressure in the first half of that
49:01game by Aiden Hutchinson.
49:03So when you add Max Crosby in there, look, he may overcome this week.
49:06I'm just saying the Raiders through two weeks.
49:09I've liked what I've seen on the defensive side of the football.
49:11And this this week will be interesting.
49:13But Tyler Shuck, hopefully he can overcome the offensive line.
49:16He's got good matchups for the most part until the bye week.
49:20So great pickup.
49:22Bryce Young, the other big name that's broken out so far.
49:25Forty two percent rostered place.
49:28Cleveland this week.
49:30Carolina is very.
49:31I mean, the story is very similar to the Tyler Shuck story.
49:34They are throwing the ball a ton.
49:36He's second in pass rate over expectation.
49:38Eight point nine yards per attempt.
49:40Healthy Jalen Coker and Tedderone McMillan and goal line weapon and Waller and Chuba Hubbard.
49:44Like they have some pieces.
49:46Leggett down the field last week and Cleveland's defense has struggled.
49:50So we'll talk more about Carolina in general tomorrow.
49:53But that is my stream of the week.
49:55And my stream.
49:56I'm going with the Seattle quarterback.
49:58Yeah.
49:58I don't care who it is.
50:00If Sam Darnall is back from his butt injury, then fantastic.
50:05But Drew Locke is.
50:07He doesn't like that description.
50:09He's butt hurt.
50:11Okay.
50:11Nice.
50:12I mean, like literally.
50:14It's a fact, Jack.
50:15By the way, Drew Locke, the highest rated passer through two weeks in the NFL.
50:18That's exactly the point is Drew Locke is playing well.
50:22Drew Locke knows where to butter the bread.
50:24He's like, hey, in Arizona.
50:26That JSN guy, I'm going to throw him the ball.
50:29I mean, what's what is what is Jackson's target share right now?
50:33Oh, it's got to be darn near 50.
50:35It's 100 percent.
50:36It is 44 percent.
50:38There is a wide receiver with a 44 percent target share.
50:44And it works.
50:45If you get to 30 percent, which is an outrageously high number, if you get to 30 percent, you are
50:50almost guaranteed to be a fantasy wide receiver one.
50:55And 44 percent.
50:57And how does it change?
50:59It doesn't need to.
51:01And now he plays Washington.
51:03So that's good.
51:04It's going to be great.
51:06Yeah, it's wild.
51:07Would you drop Drake May?
51:10Dude, man, that is tough to pick up Tyler Shaw.
51:14I know.
51:15I know.
51:15I know.
51:16I know.
51:16That's really hard.
51:18If I have to let go of the preseason.
51:20Yeah.
51:20I mean, if I think I would do it.
51:22I don't think I'd do it.
51:23If I've got one roster spot and I have no one else to drop and I either have to start
51:27Drake May or drop him to play Tyler Shuck, I would make that transaction outside of that.
51:32I would roster two quarterbacks.
51:34Hopefully you've got another wide receiver, a backup running back or someone you could
51:38drop and roster both.
51:39Because I do think bright days are ahead for Drake May.
51:43It might be a long time.
51:45It might be until A.J.
51:47Brown is back, which I expect him to miss six weeks after the first.
51:52Okay, Drake May plays at Jacksonville this week and then next week is at Buffalo.
51:58Does that alter your...
52:00I will say that I think both this week and next week there will be 12 other quarterbacks
52:05I would rather start than Drake May.
52:07They should trade for Keyshawn Booty.
52:09Oh.
52:10By the way, just so the world knows how much the sentiment on a player changes with another
52:15week of validation, I tried to trade Tyler Shuck to people last week.
52:20I mean, you can go over to Deucer's Alley.
52:22Every person sitting in Deucer's Alley got offers for Tyler Shuck.
52:25Any regrets over there?
52:27I do.
52:28Oh, sure do.
52:30Matt said, Brock Purdy's on the waivers.
52:32We don't need Tyler Shuck.
52:33Well, Brock Purdy's good.
52:34Brock Purdy's a great pickup.
52:35Yeah, he is.
52:36But Shuck's better right now.
52:38The way you guys operate your team, I'm telling you right now.
52:40You guys.
52:41It is just...
52:42You do...
52:43Two brains, but no one's in charge.
52:45Someone to blame.
52:47That should be your team name.
52:48Someone to blame.
52:49Yeah.
52:49It wasn't me.
52:50Every trade that goes wrong, it's the other guy that did it.
52:52It wasn't me.
52:53And by the way, a $1 fab offer is what I offered Shuck to Al over there.
52:57And he said...
52:58They are the odd couple, man.
52:58You offered it for five.
53:00I countered for two.
53:01That's right.
53:02Which you then declined, but then offered it back for a dollar later.
53:05And I declined that.
53:06Yeah.
53:07Yeah.
53:07I forgot that was the interaction.
53:08But I mean, I offered him to Mike last week.
53:10But these offers were taking place mid-game in week one.
53:13That's fact.
53:13I will say to the defense of the grumpy old trolls over there, I don't know that I would
53:21take Shuck over Brock Purdy.
53:23Yeah.
53:23It's understandable.
53:24They didn't get Purdy either, though.
53:25Oh!
53:25Yeah.
53:26Losers!
53:26Oh, no!
53:29You missed out on...
53:29Whose fault was that?
53:30Who's your quarterback?
53:31Neither of theirs.
53:32Well, it was Jaden Daniels.
53:34Oh, no.
53:34Oh, no.
53:35Oh, no.
53:36Oh, no.
53:36Oh, no.
53:37Oh, no.
53:38Yeah.
53:38So, who is it now, though?
53:40Baker.
53:41Is there a TBD?
53:41Yeah.
53:42Oh, Baker?
53:42Yeah.
53:43Oh, no.
53:43You're totally fine.
53:44Yeah.
53:45What's to worry about?
53:45You're totally fine.
53:47Right that way.
53:47Dude, he just got paid.
53:48Yeah.
53:49It's great.
53:49You can't drop that guy.
53:50Got Ibuka.
53:51They're playing for next year anyway.
53:52You and everyone else.
53:54All right.
53:55You and everyone else.
53:57This is brutal.
53:58Foot Clan, this year in the League of Record, it is brutal.
54:02Why is it brutal?
54:03Because you have...
54:04I don't get it.
54:05...the most super team we've ever seen before.
54:09And it's...
54:09Yeah.
54:10There's a couple of us with some stones, and we're not going to give up.
54:13Good.
54:13Oh, look at you.
54:14Good.
54:15I love to hear it.
54:16You can't see the path, though, can you?
54:18It's fuzzy.
54:19But we're going to get there.
54:21It's a long season.
54:23Injuries change a lot.
54:24Four or five significant injuries to Andy's team, and next thing you know, he's got a chance
54:30to lose.
54:32This will be a fun ride.
54:34It's not...
54:35The odds, I feel, are still, you know, against me, because things can go wrong, but that's
54:41no...
54:41That's weird.
54:41Odds are against you?
54:43Yeah.
54:43Come on, man.
54:44Shut the show down.
54:44Push that button.
54:45It's disgusting.
54:47Just trying to hedge it a little bit.
54:50My team should...
54:50Imagine me talking about my dynasty team like that.
54:53What?
54:54That's ridiculous.
54:55You've got to win.
