0:01nutrients that our body intakes each day
0:04and what they consist of so we have here
0:07two terms essential nutrients and
0:10non-essential nutrients a suit essential
0:13nutrients are going to be nutrients that
0:15the body does not make on its own so
0:18some protein components need to come
0:20from food whereas non-essential
0:23nutrients the body can develop on their
0:25own vitamin D and cholesterol would fall
0:27under that category the body requires a
0:31daily intake of nutrients to provide
0:33energy we are literally what we eat when
0:36you eat good things from good food
0:38categories you're going to feel better
0:40you're going to feel that level of
0:41energy your body needs those nutrients
0:44to repair and maintain body tissues and
0:47lastly to regulate body processes with
0:50nutrition another fact that we need to
0:52educate our pan our patients on is
0:54calories and caloric intake with
0:57calories or kilo calories it's recommend
0:59ended for adults to consume within 1800
1:03to 2200 calories per day that is the
1:07amount of calories that is assumed that
1:09your body can take in process burn off
1:11and the rest wouldn't be stored as fat
1:14now if we do go in excess of that 2200
1:17calories per day excess calories are
1:20stored as fat and so it is going to be
1:23important for our patients to understand
1:24the caloric intake in various foods and
1:28understand what excess calories can do
