0:04are going to be be continuing our series

0:07seven life hacks today I want to talk to

0:09you about believing God in difficult

0:11Seasons or holding on to faith so today

0:13I want to talk to you about the story of

0:15Joseph so Joseph was born to Jacob he

0:18had 11 Brothers his brothers did not

0:21like him from the jump okay so because

0:23his brothers did not like him when he

0:25had a dream God give Joseph A

0:27Dream actually God gave Joseph two

0:29dreams he tells his brothers the first

0:31Dream and his brothers like uh and in

0:33the dream it basically is that he is

0:34going to at some point rule over his

0:36brothers his brothers do not like that

0:38he has another dream that emphas

0:40emphasizes the exact same thing he takes

0:42this to his

0:43father and his and and his brothers and

0:46so it it just continues on this path

0:49right of they don't like what he is

0:51saying um but God gave him the dream so

0:54the first thing that when I look at the

0:55life of Joseph and I look at the faith

0:57Joseph continues to speak what what God

1:00Said the dream that God put in his heart

1:02even though the people around him did

1:04not understand it and those are the

1:05closest people to him didn't understand

1:07it his father rebuked him though he

1:09still held it in his heart his father

1:11rebuked him so the story goes on later

1:13and this is Joseph is 17 at this time

1:16his brothers don't like him so much in

1:17the point where they basically plot to

1:19kill him one of his brothers comes to

1:21his defense and they're like okay we

1:22cannot kill him we don't want blood on

1:24our hands so they sell him off into

1:26slavery they let his father believe that

1:29he was

1:30dead by some animal and so he sold off

1:34into slavery the Bible says once he is

1:37in he sold into slavery but he still

1:39finds success even in that position so

1:41basically he sold into slavery into

1:43Piper's house piper then makes him the

1:46Master Slave over all of the other

1:48slaves so he's still in the no matter

1:50what the circumstance he's still in a

1:52favorable POS favorable position

1:55right from there Piper's wife finds an

1:59attraction

2:00to Joseph and she wants she offers

2:02basically wants him to sleep with her

2:04Joseph because of his stance and who he

2:06is in God his honor for God and his

2:09honor for the position that Piper gave

2:11him he's like I'm not doing that

2:13absolutely not so because she reject he

2:16rejected her she cries that he raped her

2:18he gets unlawfully thrown in prison now

2:21while he is in prison he is made again

2:25rise to head over all of the other

2:28people all he still that that thing that

2:31God the favor and who God had called him

2:33still was louder than all of the

2:35circumstances around him Pharaoh then

2:38has two people that he ends up putting

2:40in prison they have a dream Joseph

2:42interprets the dream of um of them and

2:46so when Joseph interprets the dream he

2:49says hey if this happens the way that I

2:52say that it's going to happen my only

2:55desire is this that basically that you

2:59show kindness to me and you remember me

3:01because I've been put I was sold here

3:03illegally and I've been put into prison

3:04unlawfully so get me basically get me

3:06out of here right wanting it in his

3:08timing so it happens the exact way he

3:11the way he says it but that P the person

3:14whose dream he interpreted he sure

3:16enough forgets him the Bible says it was

3:18another two years for Pharaoh then to

3:21have a dream who was over Egypt he has a

3:23dream that needs interpretation everyone

3:26around him he calls for everyone around

3:28him all of the wise ones they cannot

3:30interpret the dream they need Joseph so

3:33in that moment the person in prison was

3:36like oh wow I was in I was in prison

3:39with somebody who interpreted my dream

3:43and that's why I'm even here right now

3:44so actually let's go get like let's go

3:47get him so they pulled Joseph out of

3:49prison now the very same thing that got

3:51him sold into slavery and all of it that

3:55started this whole thing is the same

3:56thing that is getting him out of prison

3:58right so that also just blew my mind so

4:01we're looking at the life of Joseph and

4:03his faith in God so he comes he

4:05interprets Pharaoh's dream and the dream

4:08basically is that there will be seven

4:10years of plenty and then there will be

4:11seven years of a famine and that he

4:13needed to appoint someone over the land

4:16to Steward it so that in that seven

4:18years of plenty that that seven years

4:21when they when the famine hit they will

4:23be taken care of pharaoh then looks at

4:26Joseph and says since God revealed all

4:29of these things to you it has to be you

4:32who who stewards this whole thing so he

4:35makes Joseph second in command so in

4:38case you're not checking with tracking

4:40with me let me reiterate he goes from

4:43his father's house to being sold into

4:45slavery by his jealous Brothers thrown

4:47into become Master Slave then illegally

4:50accused of rape thrown into prison to

4:53now he is second in command over all of

4:56Egypt because of a dream that God gave

4:58him so as we continue on in the story um

5:02later on the F all of the things happen

5:05and then the famine hits Joseph's

5:07brothers then come and they need help

5:09now they need help they need food Joseph

5:12immediately recognizes his brothers his

5:14brothers do not recognize him so what

5:17could have been a beautiful moment so

5:18I'm going to fast forward this what

5:20could have been a moment of so Joseph

5:22ends up basically getting to provide for

5:24his

5:25family um and his brothers come and they

5:28and the dream still happens where he

5:31ends up ruling over his brothers and

5:33they are bowing down to him it happens

5:35the exact way that the dream said it

5:37right but now Joseph started that

5:39Journey at 30 so you tell me from 17

5:42when he has the dream he is now 30 once

5:44he's St well he not even well he's 30

5:46when he starts leading in

5:50Egypt so the things that I want to pull

5:52out of this today is the

5:55this the first point is this Joseph

5:58continued Joseph Joseph continued to

6:00speak his dream speak what God shared to

6:03him speak what despite what the people

6:07around him said so I want to encourage

6:09you continue to speak what God is

6:11telling you continue to have faith in

6:13the dream that God put on your heart

6:14even when the people around you and it

6:16does not make sense second thing I want

6:18to point out the favor of God was always

6:21louder than the circumstance who God

6:23called Joseph to be it didn't matter

6:26whether he was in the pit or the palace

6:27it didn't matter whether he was in jail

6:30that favor on Joseph's life did not

6:33diminish based upon the circumstances so

6:35it doesn't matter what it looks like

6:37right now it doesn't matter the

6:38circumstance that you may be facing

6:40around you right now you are who God

6:43says you are that thing that God said

6:45would happen and how it would happen

6:47it's going to happen in the dispensation

6:49of time that God desires it to happen so

6:52hold on to that and

6:55remember who you are is the thing that

6:58remain you who you you are in God is the

7:00only constant putting your faith in the

7:03unmovable unshakable

7:05one the last thing I want to point out

7:08is the power of redemption and

7:09forgiveness in this story because Joseph

7:13when he could have had a chance when we

7:15think about this in a natural stance he

7:16could have easily had a opportunity

7:18where he I Told You So or whatever but

7:21he didn't he he he revealed who he was

7:25to his brothers and he provided all of

7:27this the food and all of the things for

7:29his brothers but he embraced his

7:31brothers he kissed each of them and he

7:33told them do not be upset and do not um

7:36beat yourself up or be angry with

7:38yourself for for selling me off into

7:41this because this was God's doing God

7:43sent me here to establish us beforehand

7:47he sent me here right he sent he sent me

7:51here to preserve life so Joseph where he

7:54could have allowed his circumstances to

7:56allow him to become a victim of it and

7:58he could have been bitter and he all of

8:00the things that could have happened he

8:02didn't because he put his faith in God

8:05he knew that what he was doing was unto

8:07the Lord everything that Joseph did all

8:10of his life led him and prepared him to

8:12be able to Steward something this big so

8:15no matter where you are at right now no

8:19matter what it looks like I want us to

8:21take a picture of Joseph's life and the

8:23faithfulness that he had to a god that

8:26was faithful to

8:27him right

8:30hold on to that so keep speaking life

8:32into the dream that God gave you let

8:33your eyes stay locked in to your to your

8:36father and allow yourself to remain in

8:40God I pray that in this season that we

8:42would be like Joseph despite our

8:44circumstances we will remember and know

8:46that God has always been working all of

8:49these things out for our good just like

8:51I mentioned in the first video so I pray

8:53that this blesses you I pray that you

8:55look at your life with different

8:57different lenses from here on out amen
