0:39one really important type of technology

0:42is computer technology

0:44computers today are much different than

0:47computers from the past

0:4920 or 30 years ago computers were really

0:54they couldn't do the things that

0:58in the past they were also really big

1:01but today computers come in many

1:04different sizes

1:06computers today are fast powerful

1:10and easy to use i remember when i

1:13first started using the computer i was

1:16six years old i liked playing computer

1:20but all the games were very basic at

1:23that time

1:24i still thought they were really fun

1:27today

1:28computer games are very complex alright

1:31now let's talk about cell phones when i

1:34was a kid

1:35not many people had cell phones most

1:39people used

1:40landlines which are phones inside your

1:43house

1:44nowadays not many people have landlines

1:47everyone has cell phones now i remember

1:50getting my first

1:51cell phone when i was 12 years old

1:54i thought it was so cool these days

1:58phones are extremely important because

2:01you can do

2:02almost anything on your phone but i

2:04think the most

2:05important technology today is the

2:08internet

2:09most people use the internet every day

2:12to do

2:12many things people like me need the

2:16internet

2:16in order to work if i don't have

2:19internet

2:19i can't work we also use the internet to

2:23study

2:23to shop and to entertain ourselves

2:27i can't imagine not having the internet

2:30i use it for many hours every day

2:33how about you how many hours a day

2:36do you use the internet okay now let's

2:40talk about

2:41technology of the past for example

2:44one really important invention was the

2:47motorized vehicle

2:49or the car before cars people traveled

2:52by

2:53horse by foot or in other ways

2:56when the car was invented people were

2:59able to travel

3:00more easily cars from the past looked

3:04very different from today's cars i think

3:07old cars looked pretty cool another

3:10really

3:10important invention was electricity

3:14before electricity people had to use

3:17candles and fire for light at night

3:21the cities were much darker than today

3:24nowadays our cities have so much light

3:27at night

3:28and of course we use electricity for so

3:31many different things today

3:33sometimes the electricity goes out and

3:36everything stops working i hate when the

3:40electricity goes out

3:42one more important invention was the

3:44television

3:46in the past television was the greatest

3:49form of entertainment everyone sat down

3:52in the evenings

3:53and watched tv nowadays more people

3:57watch tv shows on their computers

4:00like on netflix many young people

4:03prefer doing everything on their

4:05computer or cell phone
