0:00So, somewhere in the idea and the
0:02process of sharing my 101 to go um
0:08journey series, weight management um
0:12story, journey, whatever you want to
0:15call it. I thought it was going to be
0:18about um losing weight
0:23because that's been a major theme in my
0:25life. Um,
0:28and something that I've realized
0:31is that
0:34it's not the theme. It's a symptom. It
0:40is a um residual side effect of other
0:44things that have gone on in my life.
0:47And so
0:49as I've been healing from my last
0:52procedure,
0:54I have been sitting with how no one
0:58talks about the second time, the third
1:01time, or even the fourth time because
1:04I've shared with you all before, this is
1:06my fourth time
1:09working on losing 100 pounds or more.
1:14And
1:16in thinking about some of the drastic
1:20measures that I've taken and some of the
1:22programs that I've um used and
1:24participated in,
1:27it is very daunting and discouraging to
1:31feel like you're doing it again or you
1:34have to do it again,
1:37especially after you healed. And as I
1:40thought about it, I mean, even the day
1:42before going into my procedure, I was
1:44like, I don't want to do this again.
1:47And part of it was because
1:49I felt like I shouldn't have to.
1:53And that's the same way I feel about um
1:58breakups,
1:59friendship, romantic, it doesn't matter.
2:02Um losing a job, it's almost like, dang,
2:06we got to go through this again. again.
2:10And
2:12each time we heal from it, then we get
2:16to a place where we're ready to step out
2:19and try again. And so here I am
2:23where I am ready and I'm working again
2:28to release the weight.
2:32And I'm pretty sure that's going to open
2:33up other doors of other opportunities of
2:37welcoming in other connections
2:38[clears throat] and other relationships.
2:41And that's business, personal, romantic,
2:45platonic, whatever.
2:47But one of the things I've noticed is
2:51that my weight is part of a pattern.
2:57So,
2:59as we grow through this 101 to go
3:03journey, I am going to share with you
3:06lessons, blessings, and things of that
3:08nature. Because
3:11we all have things that we're doing for
3:15the second, the third, or even the
3:17fourth time, and we're like, [sighs]
3:21I got to go through this again.
3:24And sometimes, no matter how we try to
3:28prevent it or we try to work through it
3:30to not have to do [clears throat] it, it
3:32ends up happening.
3:34And usually that's a sign that where we
3:37was
3:39wasn't worthy of our presence.
3:42And so I'm going to end this with a
3:46moment of gratitude because I am
3:48grateful
3:49for all the things that I've been
3:51through, all the things that I've grown
3:53through. I am grateful for
3:57the people who have exited my life.
4:03I'm thankful for the lessons that I've
4:06learned about me and what I was willing
4:11to accept.
4:13And I'm grateful because I've learned
4:15better
4:17and I've also learned to require more.
4:22So, I'm going to leave you with those
4:26lessons of gratitude. And as you follow
4:29along,
4:34I hope to be able to share something
4:36that's useful.
4:38Something that's useful.
4:41I love you later.
