0:22so today i'm going to talk about

0:23adulthood this is a topic that many of

0:26you can relate to

0:27because i assume that the majority of my

0:29viewers are adults

0:31some of us wish we were still kids

0:32sometimes but there's nothing we can do

0:34to roll back the time

0:36so first let's talk about some of the

0:38most notable differences that exist

0:41between childhood and adulthood the

0:43first thing that comes to mind is the

0:45responsibility that comes with being an

0:48adult

0:48this is something that most kids and

0:51teenagers underestimate about adulthood

0:54for example when i was in high school i

0:56couldn't wait to be an adult

0:58i thought the responsibilities wouldn't

0:59be as hard as everyone always told me

1:01they'd be

1:02but boy was i wrong young people simply

1:05can't imagine

1:06all the challenges that adulthood

1:08presents of course they know that

1:10they'll probably get married move out of

1:12their parents house and of course have a

1:14career

1:14and make enough money to support a

1:16family it sounds relatively

1:18straightforward but it's definitely

1:19harder than we think it is when we're

1:21still young

1:22it was a challenge for me to become

1:24independent from my parents

1:26because they'd always paid for

1:27everything and helped me with all my

1:29problems

1:30when you take that security away it's a

1:32little scary for a young adult

1:34becoming financially independent is

1:36undoubtedly one of the hardest things

1:38about being an adult

1:40for example those of you who pay rent

1:43know that it can sometimes be a struggle

1:45especially if you're still in an early

1:47stage of your career

1:48i think that parents should spend a lot

1:51of time teaching their kids about

1:53financial responsibility

1:55this way when they're adults they won't

1:56have to learn everything from scratch

1:58they'll already have a good foundation

2:00to build upon how about you

2:02was it hard for you to become

2:04financially independent

2:05aside from the financial aspect the

2:07other huge responsibility

2:09is getting married and raising children

2:12choosing the right husband or wife

2:14is one of the most critical decisions

2:15we'll ever make

2:17if you choose wrong you're going to have

2:19to live with the consequences of that

2:21for the rest of your

2:22life however even if you choose the

2:24right spouse you're still going to face

2:26all kinds of challenges in your marriage

2:28that's a given

2:29it's our responsibility to work with our

2:32spouse as a team

2:33to overcome these challenges those of

2:35you who are married know exactly what

2:37i'm talking about

2:38and of course everything gets a little

2:40more complicated when we have kids

2:42at that point you take on much more

2:45responsibility

2:46okay now let's talk about some of the

2:48positives of being an adult

2:50for me one of the best things is being

2:52able to make decisions for myself

2:55when you're an adult you get to decide

2:57your own future

2:58you can choose the path you want to take

3:01this isn't easy

3:02but i think it's exciting you get to

3:03pick your career your spouse your

3:06residents

3:06etc etc another great thing about being

3:09an adult

3:10is that you understand the world better

3:12when you're a child

3:14you still have a limited view of the

3:16world around you and you have limited

3:18experience but as an adult you're able

3:20to see things more clearly

3:22in turn this means that you solve

3:24problems more effectively

3:26and learn from your mistakes more easily

3:28one last

3:29positive about being an adult is that

3:31you can accomplish more

3:33with the exception of child prodigies

3:35people in general

3:36achieve the most when they're fully

3:38grown as an adult

3:40you've probably already studied and

3:42gained experience

3:44so you're more prepared to do

3:45significant things with your life

3:48i hope i can achieve a lot in my adult

3:50life and i'll definitely continue

3:52setting goals for myself to make sure i

3:54do that okay

3:55now i'm gonna ask you three questions

3:57about today's video to check your
