0:00The assembly will hear an address by his
0:03excellency Benjamin Netanyahu, prime
0:06minister of the state of Israel.
0:09I request for Paul to escort his
0:12excellency and invite him to address the
0:15assembly.
0:36I was
0:38outside.
0:58Happy.
1:10Happy.
1:25Order in the hall, please.
1:30>> Order in the hall, please.
1:34I request an order in the hall, please.
1:40I request an order in the hall, please.
1:48Thank you,
1:51>> Mr. President.
1:55Before I begin,
1:57just a quick announcement.
2:00If there are any other moral cowards who
2:03haven't yet left this hall, please do so
2:06now. Thank you very much,
2:15ladies and gentlemen.
2:1814 years ago,
2:20I stood on this podium
2:23and I drew a red line.
2:26I vowed to prevent Iran's murderous
2:29dictatorship
2:31from developing atomic bombs.
2:35Nuclear weapons aimed at destroying
2:37Israel.
2:39Nuclear weapons that could threaten the
2:42entire world.
2:44That's exactly what we did. Now, let me
2:48say something
2:51that might surprise you.
2:54Devastating Iran's nuclear facilities
2:57was hard.
3:00It was very hard to do.
3:03But for me,
3:06it was one of the easiest decisions I've
3:08ever had to make as prime minister
3:11because if we hadn't done it,
3:14we'd all be dead.
3:17Now you want to hear the ultimate irony
3:21in defending itself.
3:23Israel is alo also defending many of the
3:27countries whose delegates just left this
3:30hall.
3:32In fact,
3:33I want you to know that many of their
3:36leaders even thank us privately for
3:39taking out Iran's nukes.
3:43It's hard to imagine more mind-blowing
3:46hypocrisy, but that's exactly what it
3:48is.
3:50Now, this isn't the first time we are
3:53faced with a threat of annihilation.
3:56On June 5th, 1967,
3:59Israel was surrounded by enemies who
4:03openly swore to destroy us.
4:06We weren't then in Judea Samaria,
4:09the heart of the historic homeland of
4:11the Jewish people.
4:13We weren't in Gaza.
4:16We weren't on the Golan Heights. Oh, and
4:19Mr. Oshara, you should know the Jews
4:21have been on the Golan Heights since the
4:23days of Moses. You can read it in the
4:25Bible.
4:31No, at that time on the eve of the six-
4:33day war in 1967, we weren't in any of
4:36these places. We were in a tiny sliver
4:38of land. We still are. That is equal to
4:42about 13 of 1%
4:46of the land mass of the entire Arab
4:49world.
4:50Yet they accuse Israel, tiny Israel, of
4:55colonialism,
4:56some colonialism.
4:58And who's accusing us? Well, among them
5:01are people in Britain and in France. For
5:06God's sakes, they invented the term.
5:08Their colonies
5:10braced the entire globe,
5:13colonialism
5:14gave us a break
5:17and other lie.
5:19Yet at the time on this tiny patch of
5:22earth,
5:24no West Bank,
5:26no Gaza, no Golan Heights,
5:30just the very survival of this one and
5:33only Jewish state because this is what
5:34this conflict is about. It's not about
5:36territories.
5:38It's about the existence of a Jewish
5:40state at any boundaries. And yet at the
5:42time, right at that time, we were
5:45threatened with annihilation by three
5:48Arab armies that were about to invade
5:51us.
5:53You know what Israelis were doing at the
5:54time? They were digging mass graves in
5:59preparation
6:00for the thousands and thousands of
6:03casualties in preparation to bury our
6:06dead.
6:09At the time, I was an Israeli high
6:11school student in Philadelphia,
6:12Pennsylvania.
6:14Five days before the war broke out, I
6:17flew back to Israel.
6:19I found a country in total blackout.
6:23Israel braced for impact.
6:26I flew back
6:29to see my brother Jonathan Yonatan Yoni.
6:34He was a 21-year-old paratroop officer.
6:37And like the rest of his uh the rest of
6:39the army, his unit was already
6:41mobilized.
6:44I went to find him. I was told
6:47the paratroops are encamped
6:50in the orchards, the orange groves
6:52around Ramlay. So I went there and I
6:56asked some soldiers, "Do you know where
6:58Yoni Netanyahu is?"
7:01Nope. Nope. Then one guy said, "Oh, you
7:04mean the young guy?" Yeah, he he's in
7:07the next grove. So I went there
7:10and suddenly at the end of a long row of
7:14trees,
7:15I saw my brother.
7:18He was absolutely shocked to see me. BB,
7:21he said, BB, what are you doing here? We
7:24ran. We hugged each other.
7:26And over a cup of a cup of makeshift
7:30military coffee,
7:32I asked him the question that was on my
7:34mind.
7:35the question that was on everybody's
7:38mind.
7:39So, Yoni said,
7:43"What's going to happen?"
7:45He paused.
7:48And then he said something I'll never
7:50forget.
7:52"We're going to win," he said. "We have
7:56no other choice."
7:59I remember those words
8:02as if it was yesterday.
8:04We're going to win. We have no other
8:08choice.
8:19And when we did,
8:22nine years later,
8:24Palestinian terrorists hijacked a
8:27passenger airplane headed for Israel.
8:30They took it to Antbia, Uganda.
8:35Like the Nazis,
8:37the terrorists selected the Jewish
8:39passengers, men, women, children,
8:42babies.
8:44They threatened to kill them all if
8:46Israel did not release Palestinian
8:49terrorists.
8:51And then
8:53on July 4th,
8:561960, sorry, on July 4th, 1976,
9:01the bicesentennial of the United States
9:05in one of the most dramatic rescue
9:07missions in modern times,
9:09Yonyi led his brave soldiers to the
9:12heart of Africa.
9:14Miraculously,
9:16they rescued 103 Jewish hostages and
9:20brought them all home. Every single one
9:23of them.
9:30My brother,
9:32the commander of the storming party, was
9:35the only soldier killed in this mission.
9:38I want to thank Uganda again for
9:41recently erecting a statue of Yonyi in
9:44the place where he fell.
9:52My friends,
9:54Yoni's words are as true today as they
9:58were more than half a century ago. We're
10:01going to win. We have no other choice.
10:12At no time was this demonstrated more
10:15clearly than on October 7th, 2023,
10:19the darkest day in Israel's history. On
10:23that horrific day,
10:25thousands of Palestinians, terrorists,
10:28stormed into Israel from Gaza.
10:31Now, I want you to know there wasn't a
10:34single Israeli then in Gaza.
10:37Not a civilian, not a soldier, not one.
10:42But it didn't matter one bit. The Hamas
10:45terrorists committed the worst slaughter
10:48of Jews since the Holocaust.
10:51They went house-to-house,
10:53shooting Israeli civilians point blank.
10:57They did so with with fish glee, with
11:00sadistic joy. They live streamed as they
11:04murdered.
11:05And who did they murder? The very
11:08Israelis, their neighbors,
11:11who gave them jobs, who picked up
11:13Palestinian children at the Gaza border
11:17and drove them to Israeli hospitals for
11:20cancer treatment and then brought them
11:21back.
11:24Can you imagine such monstrosity?
11:28This these kamas monsters. They
11:31slaughtered Holocaust survivors. They
11:34burned babies alive in front of their
11:36parents. They beheaded our men. They
11:40brutally raped our women. And then they
11:42murdered them.
11:45Altogether
11:47they slaughtered 1,200 Israelis that
11:50day.
11:52I want to give you an idea of what this
11:53means for a country of 10 million.
11:55Proportionately,
11:57this is equal to 40,000 innocent
12:00Americans slaughtered in less than 24
12:03hours. That's 16 times 911. 16 91s
12:10that occurred not very far from here.
12:14On that darkest of days,
12:17our enemies expected us to collapse.
12:21Well, we didn't collapse.
12:24Instead, we rose and fought like lions.
12:40For the past three years, our heroic
12:43soldiers have fought day in and day out
12:46in a sevenfront war.
12:49Do you know any other country the size
12:52of New Jersey capable of fighting a
12:55sevenfront war? And for three years,
12:59seven fronts, Hamas,
13:03the Houthis, Iran, militias in Iraq,
13:07militias in Syria, Palestinian
13:09terrorists in Judea, Samaria. They all
13:12ganged up on us to wipe us off the face
13:16of the earth.
13:18They failed
13:20because instead of collapsing,
13:22we delivered crippling blows to all of
13:25them. With our great American friends,
13:29we crushed Iran's army, navy, air force,
13:32and nuclear facilities.
13:40Israel hammered Hamas.
13:43We pummeled.
13:45You remember the beepers? Remember these
13:47things? Remember them? Yeah.
13:55Well, I can tell you this. Kizbala
13:57certainly remembers them.
14:00Guess what happened to the bulk of the
14:03vast arsenal of 150,000
14:08ballistic missiles and rockets, all
14:11aimed at our civilians, they're gone.
14:15KBA's leaders dead, their spirit broken.
14:22The arch terrorists,
14:24the worst mass murderers on earth,
14:28not only killing Israelis, killing
14:30Americans, killing Brits, killing
14:31citizens of hundred, dozens of
14:33countries. Kamayi, Death, Sinir, Hanea,
14:36Nasalla, and thousands of other
14:39terrorists who sought to destroy us.
14:42They're all gone, too.
14:45The remaining terrorists are desperately
14:48trying to regroup.
14:50Every day they try to murder our people.
14:54And in particularly they try to murder
14:57our people in our historic homeland in
14:59Judea. By the way, that's where the word
15:01Jew comes from. Judea. That's our land.
15:05They try to murder us.
15:11Thousands of attempts per year
15:15on families, peaceful families driving
15:17along the roads.
15:20They shoot at pregnant women. They shoot
15:23entire families.
15:25Of course, none of this is covered in
15:27the international press or in the social
15:29media. None of it.
15:31None of it. What they cover is a handful
15:34of young juvenile delinquents, about 150
15:37in number, who go throw stones,
15:41who uh chop down olive trees
15:45occasionally. They do they fire up, they
15:47they lit some fires. I can't stand that.
15:49I won't stand for vigilanteism.
15:52We're a country of law.
15:54So, we put our shin bed on them. But
15:57that's what they call settler violence.
15:59And the number of casualties a year,
16:01maybe two or three in the total time
16:03that this is being discussed, maybe two
16:05or three dead compared to the thousands
16:07of terrorist attacks against the
16:10peaceful settlers,
16:12honorable people, law-abiding people.
16:18What a distortion. It's an obsession. I
16:21hear this discussion here. I mean,
16:23leaders of countries seriously talk
16:25about that and they say it with such
16:27importance. We can't stand settler
16:29violence. You don't know what you're
16:30talking about.
16:32And listen, two days ago, two days ago,
16:37two days ago,
16:40I say this to
16:43my colleague Emanuel Mcron.
16:45Two days, three days ago,
16:48a French citizen,
16:50Natanel Shukrun,
16:52a father of six,
16:55was gunned down when he visited a spring
16:59with his 16-year-old son, and a Hamas
17:02terrorist in Judea, Samaria, comes and
17:04fires point blank at him. In the last
17:06words he uttered, "Flee! Flee, son. Save
17:10yourself."
17:11That was three days ago. Two days ago in
17:15Judea Samaria, a reserve officer, a
17:19reserve soldier, Naral Lighter, was
17:22mowed down by a drive down terrorist,
17:24Palestinian terrorist.
17:28He's fighting for his life now in a
17:30Jerusalem hospital.
17:33I visited the family right before I
17:35boarded the plane to come here.
17:37Nara, a father of four, is the son of Ya
17:42Lighter, our brilliant ambassador to the
17:44United States.
17:46Three years ago, Yil's oldest son, Mo
17:50Moshe, a father of six, was killed while
17:54clearing a booby trapped building in
17:56Gaza.
17:58Y, my brother,
18:01your pain is immeasurable.
18:04The entire people of Israel and many
18:07outside of Israel are praying for
18:11Nirya's life.
18:13But despite the pain, despite the agony,
18:17we do not give in.
18:20In a recent post before he was attacked,
18:23Nara wrote this.
18:27Listen to this. We have no other
18:30country. It's a privilege to defend it.
18:34To Nara and to all the heroes of Israel,
18:38I pledge a sacred vow. Your sacrifice
18:42will not be in vain. We will continue to
18:46defend our state. We will continue to
18:49win because we have no other choice.
19:08In this battle against the barbarians,
19:12we've had no greater partner than
19:14President Trump. I thank him.
19:23I thank him for his bold leadership.
19:26He boldly confronted an enormous danger
19:29to America, Israel, and the world.
19:32Decades ago, he understood that if left
19:36unchallenged, the fanatic Ayatollas who
19:39chant death to America, death to Israel,
19:42would eventually carry out their mad
19:45fantasies.
19:47So, Israel and America acted together
19:50not only to protect ourselves,
19:53but to save civilization.
19:56Brave American pilots alongside brave
20:00Israeli pilots flew joint missions over
20:03the skies of Iran. America and Israel
20:07also work together to bring back our
20:10remaining hostages. We brought back
20:13every last one of them.
20:22You ask why are we winning? Well, Yonyi
20:26said it simply, we have no other choice.
20:31And throughout this long war, our goal
20:34never wavered to win. To win with
20:39unwavering resolve, to win with
20:42unrelenting courage. Because this is
20:45Israel, one nation fighting for one
20:49future, left and right, young and old,
20:52religious and secular.
20:55Do we have our differences? Of course we
20:57do. Who doesn't?
21:00But in critical moments, those moments
21:03that shape our destiny, we stand
21:05together
21:07because what unites us is so much
21:10stronger. our history, our values, our
21:15courage.
21:16The courage, the courage of our brave
21:19people who withtood 1,000 massive
21:23ballistic missiles that Iran rained down
21:26on our cities, on our civilians.
21:30Ladies and gentlemen,
21:32you're sitting here in the general
21:34assembly hall of the UN. Do you know
21:37what? One one ton one just one one ton
21:41ballistic missile would do if it hit
21:44this place.
21:46It would obliterate the entire compound.
21:49In fact, two such missiles would
21:51obliterate the UN.
21:53So you can imagine, think about 1,000
21:59gigantic missiles falling from the skies
22:02on your cities, on your homes.
22:05I salute the courage of the people of
22:08Israel. I salute the courage of our
22:11brave soldiers, Jews, Christians, Jews,
22:15Muslim,
22:17the most moral army in the world, the
22:19IDF.
22:25For three years, our brave soldiers have
22:28been valiantly fighting a sevenfront
22:30war.
22:33But there's an afront to this war. It's
22:36the war for truth. It is waged in the
22:39world's media
22:41and most perniciously
22:43in social media.
22:46Several foreign countries
22:48have spent untold billions to spread
22:52lies about my country.
22:54The first to do so was Qatar.
22:58Decades ago, it started massively
23:01funding American universities and toxic
23:04media outlets like Al Jeazer.
23:07They did the same in Europe, by the way.
23:09And their goal was clear. Brainwash
23:12young minds to hate Israel, hate
23:15America, hate the West. This is the same
23:18Qatar that hosts the kamas butchers of
23:22October 7th.
23:24Now, the latest country to become a
23:26super spreader of anti-Semitic lies is
23:29Turkey.
23:31Erdogan.
23:32Erdogan is a tyrant. He also hosts the
23:36Kamas terror chiefs. He has murdered
23:39thousands of Kurdish civilians. He
23:42denies the Armenian genocide. He jails
23:45journalists and opposition leaders. In
23:47fact, I think he holds the world's
23:49record on this. And that's a tough call,
23:52but I think he's number one. He
23:54illegally occupies northern Cyprus, an
23:57EU member, and he regularly transgresses
24:00against Greece, a NATO member. Now, he
24:04wants to take over Syria. Well, that's
24:06not surprising
24:08because he calls for Israel's
24:10destruction
24:11almost every single day. He says he's
24:14going to be the ruler of Jerusalem.
24:17No, sir, you won't. This is our country,
24:21our city, our eternal capital.
24:27Tyrants the world over
24:30seek to threaten us. They seek to
24:32undermine our resolve with their
24:35campaign of lies.
24:37But ultimately, as on the military
24:40battlefield, the Jewish people will
24:43prevail.
24:48It will take time. It will take time to
24:51vanquish the lies. It will take time for
24:55the world to acknowledge what is so
24:58plain to see. That kamas used
25:02Palestinian civilians as human shields.
25:05That it used hospitals, schools, mosques
25:08as terrorist command posts. That is sold
25:11much of the food we let into Gaza.
25:15And while Hamas did everything possible
25:17to keep Palestinian civilians in harm's
25:20way, often at gunpoint,
25:23Israel did everything possible to get
25:25them out of harm's way. We sent millions
25:28of text messages warning civilians to
25:31leave combat areas. We made millions of
25:34phone calls. We dropped millions of
25:37leaflets.
25:39I want to ask you some questions.
25:41What genocidal regime gives a million
25:45polio vaccinations to the enemy's
25:48population?
25:49What genocidal regime enables the
25:52distribution of 2 million tons of food
25:55into Gaza? That's a ton for every
25:58person.
26:00Accusing Israel of genocide is the
26:03greatest lie of the century.
26:06If you want to know how big a lie, if
26:09you want to know how absurd it is,
26:12listen to Colonel John Spencer. He's
26:15head of urban warfare studies at West
26:17Point. He's considered one of the
26:18world's or perhaps the world's foremost
26:20expert on urban warfare. I think he's
26:23with us today.
26:25Colonel Spencer.
26:28Colonel Spencer has studied every urban
26:30war from antiquity to modern times from
26:34ancient Greece to Mosul
26:38to Gaza.
26:40And here's what Colonel Spencer says.
26:43Israel has done more to prevent civilian
26:45casualties in war
26:48than any other military in history. In
26:52history,
26:58we've taken innumerable steps to protect
27:01the civilian population.
27:04Is this genocide?
27:06Of course not. It's the opposite of
27:08genocide.
27:10So to all those spreading these lies
27:12about my country and about our brave
27:15soldiers, whether they sit in this hall
27:18or in the office of the anti-semitic
27:21mayor of New York, I say this,
27:24shame on you. Shame on you for
27:27distorting the facts. Shame on you for
27:30inverting victim and aggressor. Shame on
27:33you for spitting in the face of truth.
27:37Mr. Dani, since you were elected mayor
27:41of this city, many Jews no longer feel
27:44safe in New York. They talk to me. They
27:48tell me, "This isn't the city we
27:50remember. It changed so quickly." Now,
27:54it's no wonder. You praise criminals
27:56convicted of supporting Hamas.
27:59You count as friends people like Hassan
28:02who said, "America deserved 911."
28:05America deserved 911. Some friends you
28:09have. You invite into your home a
28:12Palestinian journalist who filled Hamas
28:15terrorist beating and torturing Israeli
28:17hostages and later admitted that he
28:21refused to publish the videos in order
28:23to protect, you guessed it, the
28:26terrorists.
28:27Your wife liked a post praising the
28:30October 7th massacre. She liked another
28:33post saying Tel Aviv shouldn't exist.
28:36You refused to condemn any of that. You
28:39falsely repeatedly accuse Israel of
28:42genocide.
28:44Mr. Mamdani,
28:46you tried to stop me from coming here.
28:49You tried You try to silence me. Well,
28:52you can't silence me. You can't silence
28:55the truth. And here is the simple truth.
29:00Here's
29:08a simple truth. Israel didn't commit
29:11genocide. Israel prevented genocide.
29:20And that's exactly that's exactly what
29:22Mr. Mamdani's kamas buddies would have
29:25done to us had we not stopped them.
29:29They would have killed every last one of
29:32us. The lies you and other anti-semmites
29:36spread about the Jews and the Jewish
29:38state have real consequences. In New
29:42York, Jews are threatened on the way to
29:45synagogue. Jews have been stabbed in the
29:47streets. Jews are demonized, targeted.
29:51They're targeted
29:53simply for being Jews.
29:56Jews have been murdered in Sydney,
29:58Manchester, Montreal, Boulder, Colorado.
30:01They've been attacked in Los Angeles,
30:04London, Paris, Berlin, Washington DC.
30:07The anti-semites of the world want to
30:10terrify our people. I have news for
30:13them. The days when Jews were
30:16defenseless victims marched to the
30:18slaughter, those days are over.
30:28Today we have a state. Today we have an
30:30army. Today I have a people ready and
30:33willing to defend ourselves. So today,
30:38today I have one message for Jews around
30:42the world. Raise your head high. Be
30:46proud. Be confident. Don't be
30:48intimidated. Stand up. And for everyone
30:52else, everyone else who wants to defend
30:55truth and justice, join us in standing
30:58up to the barbarians who threaten our
31:01common civilization.
31:04But I have to be candid with you,
31:09not everyone is standing up.
31:12We saw that because unlike Israel, there
31:16are some and most recently especially in
31:20Western Europe who have chosen not to
31:23stand up. The leaders of these countries
31:27have chosen to succumb to the
31:29anti-Semitic mobs.
31:32They have chosen weakness.
31:34They've chosen appeasement.
31:38We cannot evade
31:41the sad truth before us. Many in the
31:44free world
31:46are afraid to defend freedom.
31:49And I asked them,
31:52what will this future, what will this
31:54behavior, what will the world hold for
31:56you?
31:58The brotherhood of democracies
32:01or the Muslim Brotherhood?
32:03How long will it take for you to see
32:06that these fanatic geodists are choking
32:09your waterways, your energy supply, your
32:12economic lifeline?
32:15I can assure you, ladies and gentlemen,
32:17we in Israel, we do not wait for others
32:20to wake up from their moral slumber. We
32:23forge ahead.
32:25We seize the future.
32:28We pioneer incredible developments in
32:31health, agriculture, artificial
32:34intelligence, superior intelligence,
32:37and we bring these amazing innovations
32:41to all of humanity.
32:44So, Israel has never been stronger.
32:48We are not afraid.
32:51But I'll tell you who is afraid. The
32:54tyrants of Tehran. That's who. And you
32:56know what? They're most afraid of their
32:59own people, the brave Iranian people who
33:03have sacrificed so much for so long. The
33:06Iranian regime
33:09is especially afraid
33:11when their people have this.
33:14when their people have this.
33:17This is a communications device Starlink
33:21that allows people to access truth, to
33:26exercise choice, to exercise freedom of
33:29thought and freedom of speech. That's
33:33why the Iranian regime spills rather
33:36spends millions and billions of dollars
33:40censoring the internet.
33:43Mr. President,
33:46I'm going to leave this device with you
33:49so you can give it to the Iranian
33:51delegation so when they inevitably
33:53defect, they too will be able to freely
33:56tell their story on social media.
34:08To the protesters outside,
34:11to the hypocr hypocritical delegates who
34:14left us all, I ask, "Where were you
34:19when the Iranian tyrants butchered and
34:22maimed tens of thousands of unarmed
34:25Iranian civilians?
34:28When they butchered and maimed thousands
34:30of their own people? Where were you? Did
34:34you organize mass rallies, hunger
34:37strikes? Did you protest outside the
34:39Iranian mission to the UN? Did you speak
34:42out for that matter for Christians
34:44persecuted in Iran and throughout the
34:46Middle East? No. No, you didn't do that
34:50because you're phony human rights
34:52protesters.
34:54on Christians. You know that their
34:57numbers are plummeting everywhere in the
34:59Middle East where they're being
35:00persecuted andounded except one place,
35:03my country, Israel, where the Christian
35:05community is growing, thriving,
35:08succeeding.
35:14In fact, you didn't protest. When we
35:17left Bethlehem, it was controlled by us.
35:18It was 80 to 90% Christian and we gave
35:21it to the Palestinian Authority. And
35:23today it's 80 to 90% Muslim. Everyone,
35:27the Christians were shoved out. Did you
35:29protest that? Did you speak about that?
35:31Nothing. Nada.
35:34And you said nothing about Iran just
35:36now. You said nothing about Iran.
35:40But I want to give you the good news.
35:42Despite your silence, despite your
35:45hypocrisy,
35:47it's only a matter of time that in Iran,
35:50something incredible will happen. The
35:53power of the people will overcome the
35:56people in power.
36:02I want you to listen to my words
36:05carefully. One day, and it may not be
36:09far away, the Iranian people will be
36:12free. Their murderous regime will be
36:15toppled by its lies, by its corruption,
36:19by its cruelty. This evil regime will
36:22fall and we will all celebrate that day.
36:31Ladies and gentlemen,
36:34the story of my people, the Jewish
36:37people, goes back over 3,000 years. We
36:42speak the same language. We speak the
36:46same language today
36:48that we spoke then. We live in the same
36:52land in which our ancestors lived then.
36:56David, Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah. That's
37:00our land, the land of Israel.
37:08Our prophets, our purpose, and our
37:11people are unique in history. Our values
37:15have inspired humanity for millennia.
37:19the belief in one God, the sanctity of
37:23life, the rule of law, our eternal quest
37:27for peace, our eternal quest for
37:30justice.
37:31It is these sacred values
37:34that propelled us throughout the ages.
37:37It is these values that helped us beat
37:41the odds of history.
37:44The great American writer Mark Wayne
37:47said it best
37:49125 years ago. He said it well before
37:53the rebirth of the modern Jewish state.
37:56Well before the great victories of
37:58Israel's soldiers.
38:00Here's what he said.
38:02The Jew has made a mar the Jew has made
38:05a marvelous fight in this world in all
38:08the ages. And he has done it with his
38:11hands tied behind his back.
38:13The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the
38:15Persian rose, filled the planet with
38:18sound and splendor, then faded to dream
38:21stuff, and passed away. Other peoples
38:24have sprung up and held their torch high
38:27for a time, but it burned out, and they
38:31sit in twilight.
38:34The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and
38:37is now what he always was, exhibiting no
38:40decadence, no infirmities of age, no
38:43weakening of his spirits, no slowing of
38:47his energies.
38:49Ladies and gentlemen, over the
38:51centuries, the tyrannies that tried to
38:54destroy us failed time and again. And
38:58God willing, they'll continue to fail.
39:02If we muster our courage, if we steal
39:05our resolve, we will continue to win. As
39:10the Bible says
39:13Shakir, the eternity of Israel will not
39:16falter. And the reason is simple. We
39:21have no other choice.
39:30Thank you all.
39:33Thank you.
39:54On behalf of the assembly, I wish to
39:57thank the prime minister of the state of
39:59Israel.
